Welcome to a Match Of The Day 2 with Mark Lawrenson and Dion Dublin

that will bring you every successful strike from yesterday

and they look at West Brom-Stoke, goal of the month and an ice-cold

finished in about 15 minutes' time. As always, we begin with Sunday's

Tonight, Jo great English football clubs from the east and north-east,

adored by the cities and people they represent. Norwich City,

distinctive in yellow and green, have always had a spirit in keeping

with Norfolk's most famous son and the nation's greatest worry up. --

Warrior. Just one major trophy in 1985, when they beat today's

opponents in a League Cup final at Wembley. Oh, what a goal! That is a

magnificent goal! It is a history of marmots and faces, rather than

trophies, and there has always been plenty of pride at Carrow Road.

Sunderland have a more glorious past with six league titles at two

FA Cups, but recent history has been about reviving a sleeping

giant. Martin O'Neill once played with distinction, but that is far

from his mind as he takes his team down the North Sea coast. One year

ago, he took over from Steve Bruce, sacked after the Black Cats managed

just 11 points from 13 games. He has gained just two more in the

same period. After a horrid start, Chris Hughton's Canaries are

unbeaten in their last seven and in their last three at home. That was

very much in evidence as Arsenal and Manchester United were defeated

here. So it is struggling Sunderland against a resurgent

Norwich at Carrow Road, where the welcome is always friendly and the

natives always fearless. Your than Arsenal, Stoke and Manchester

United in recent weeks, victims in what has become a seven-match

unbeaten run for Norwich City. Given their recent form, it is not

surprising to see Chris Hughton sticking with the players who have

served him so well. Norwich are unchanged with Mark Bunn in goal as

the first choice. Sunderland are without Lee Cattermole, who injured

his knee against QPR on Tuesday. James McClean is preferred in

midfield, while Matt Kilgallon continues in central defence in the

absence of John O'Shea, but with a the back in recent weeks. They were

leaking goals at an alarming rate barely any season. -- Early in the

in the third round of the FA Cup, although strictly speaking it

should be the other way around, their first of the game, Carlos

Cuellar among those coming up from will always be remembered for that

Sunderland will have great support, and a lot of people have travelled

but we were excellent. We conceded that a pure time, I knew that would

give them a lift, but even without that you know that they are

fighting. Away from home, they have got a lot of energy in their team,

you know they are going to put us under pressure. Eight matches

unbeaten, four home wins in a row, what has been the key? Nothing,

really, the manager has just said, go out and believe in yourselves.

There is massive confidence in the dressing room, we are picking up

some good results. We knew that we had to get back to basics and make

ourselves harder to beat, and that was a good foundation, and from

that we have made ourselves harder to beat, but, you know, we have

also added some goals on top of that, and at the moment we are on a

very good run. If we are as lucky as we were in the first half,

certainly the first half-hour of the game, it will be a tough

struggle for us. Having said that, I think that the efforts that we

put in, the chances that we created were the most important thing, and

the fact that we did not take them is very frustrating, but at least

got himself in a better position. When you're not playing well,

that's what happens to you but, for Norwich, the football was excellent.

hardest things for a goalkeeper to do with seven players in the box.

That is what the manager wanted and that's a fantastic save. When they

put pressure on, they got men in the box. They look so much better.

Is it a lack of confidence? They don't get too many people in the

box, Sunderland, anyway. Basically, they were chasing the game. They

might concede a third and get beaten 3-1 but they may get an

equaliser. Fletcher went out at half-time, no service in the first

half, and it Johnson it was lacking in confidence although he played

better in the second half. They have got good players. The

confidence has gone with a lot of them. I just do feel, though, they

pick an extra attacking player, and it could make a difference. Another

defeat but another victory for Norwich. An unforgettable eight

games for them. This is how quickly a changes. This is where they were

with is a run of form. I remember Liverpool getting there, thinking

they would be relegated by Christmas. A look at the difference,

it's absolutely amazing. They have up probably, Norwich, had a tougher

fixtures than Sunderland, and the thing about that is, as well, they

were very, very low, in terms of confidence and, all of a sudden,

you start winning games and confidence is an absolute massive

with a performance and that could be the catalyst to spur yourself or

the first day boil. What a game for him. You couldn't get a cigarette

paper between them. It is 3-2! Morrison! Manchester United cannot

O'Brien's ball and up. Cole, a chance. 2-1, West Ham! Underground

has gone berserk. Mohamed Diame has done more than anybody to turn this

Ham have beaten Chelsea for the first time in nearly a decade. And

just be the best by other season at �2 million and he gives Swansea

every chance of winning away to Arsenal. He's not the only one who

complete Arsenal's misery. It is 2- ! -- 2-0! Two goals at the end of

the game. Swansea celebrate. A miserable day for Arsenal but what

a wonderful victory for Swansea. Arsenal are beaten at home. Going

Ferguson, he may need to pull on a jersey and defend it it goes on

good football, Kenwyne Jones came in, and he was a thorn in their

defence. Stoke are not the team that people thought they work, and

launching it, they are playing good stuff. They play what works, like

headlines screaming to walls raised for the title, so it was a good job

seven points off the pace. And Stoke City, who have kept seven in

their 15 league games, would rise four places to fifth. Everton,

usually so tight at the back, would drop to 10th. The bottom three

remain unchanged with QPR still seven points from safety. Newcastle

drop four places to 17th after just one shut out this campaign. Aston
