Evening, welcome to Match Of The Day 2. Two big Premier League games and

a cracking Goal of the Month to come. We will also show you all of

yesterday's goals. When we booked one of our guests earlier this

week, we had no idea he would then go and do this.

He's got it horribly wrong and it's in! What a dramatic start at the

Britannia! / 's number one and goal-scorer, Begovic, is sandwiched

between our other guests. They've had the best of times,

they've had the worst of times. These two Welsh cities, one built on

copper, the other cold. 38 miles separate them geographically but

culturally and mentally it's a whole different story. Cardiff, the

capital, the heartbeat of business, culture, media, education and

government. The city that voted no but got the assembly. Swansea, the

city that said yes but got nothing. The assembly, the Ayatollah, the

Swans, the bluebirds, Swansea Bay. Dylan Thomas' ugly, lovely town.

Cardiff Bay, the millennium Centre, the Millennium Stadium, Catherine

Peter Jones and Shirley Bassey and Gareth Bale. The FA Cup, Cardiff

have won it, they've even hosted it. The top-flight Swansea storm did.

And very nearly fell out of the legal together. John Toshack the

player, either all church, Alan Curtis, Michu, Bellamy. It is city

versus city, a tale of two. The best of times, the worst of times. It was

the season of light, the season of darkness. It's the season for South

Wales derbies. This is more than just a game,

that's for sure. A grudge match, a history match. Derby day in South

Wales for the first time in the top division. Craig Bellamy scored the

only goal when the rivals last met in Swansea in the championship three

seasons ago. A lifelong Bluebird returns to his side today. Bellamy

and Cowie in. Just one change for Swansea, as Jonjo Shelvey replaces

that scares. That means Michu will play as an out and out striker and

he's due a goal, having gone four Premier League games without one.

Markey McKay looks like he's really looking forward to this. Ditto

Michael Laudrup, in his own cool way. This is the third derby that

has been played at the Cardiff City Stadium. They've won one each.

Swansea were the victors the last time. The Swans have a better record

so far this season. Not a bad cross from Shelvey. It's Michu. Teed it up

for himself. He would have expected to have done better having done that

bit. That's a lovely bit of control from Michu. But the finish was

lacking. Michu has gone for goal. Medel

seemed to lose concentration, took his eyes away from the ball.

Laudrup will be happy with the way his team started. Malky Mackay will

want is to get more of the ball. That will be a free kick to Cardiff.

Gary Medel is calling for a card. The referee is very sternly letting

all the players know that he is the referee, he will decide. Shelvey was

high that time, he clattered into the midriff of Mutch.

It was deflected. Over the top, put everything he had into that. Lyon

Brittan, smallest man on the field, on the end of the wall. He didn't

actually have to jump. It is back for Nathan Dyer. It

wouldn't drop. Routledge, flag up, offside. Free kick to Cardiff.

It is a derby that needs a bit of a spark at this stage.

The last two championship derby is only involved one goal in them each.

Then we have to wait awhile. Watch this space.

It is Bellamy now. Whittingham... He would have preferred that on his

left boot. A much more brighter start from Cardiff. Cardiff have

been on the wrong end of most of the derby results in recent years. Only

two wins in the last 11 meetings of Swansea and Cardiff since 1997.

Good defending by Chico. Theophile-Catherine now. He's

looking for Bellamy. He feels he might have been fouled there. He

reacted as though he had been pushed.

There's a really good noise around the ground now. The French full-back

will get to it and win a corner. He can move.

It is Caulker! The man who was once a Sworn heads the Bluebirds. Where

does he start? Well, he simply stayed with Chico floras and jumped

above him. Watched it all the way on to his forehead. Chico won't be

happy with his part in that. He couldn't get high enough.

It is absolutely deserved on the balance of play since half-time.

Swansea just haven't got themselves going. They are going to have to do

now. That change has been coming. Michu has just not been in the mood

up all day. Off he goes. Hurt in every sense. An comms Wilfried Bony.

Only nearly bundled it over the line. It did go over the line but

the wrong side of the post for the Swansea striker.

This is not a nice experience for the chairman at the moment, as he

might be seeing his team beaten against a bottom half side for the

first time this season. More inspiring determination shown

by Craig Bellamy. A free kick given against Caulker

for the push on Wilfried Bony. Marshall made a bit of a meal of it

but he saved it. Thought it was too far out to think about trying for

Jonathan de Guzman, but it Nelly paid for him. What an weather,

dampening Swansea spirits. Plenty of white Swansea shirts in

the middle there. Now for Swansea throw. Cardiff are

going to be made to work if they want to win the Derby.

A good try. Beaten clear by Marshall. We are into time added on.

They can't believe that, the Cardiff fans. At least five more minutes to

play. Just as Swansea are starting to really press. Campbell has beaten

Vorm. Trouble here for the Swansea goalkeeper. Red card. Campbell just

too quick for him. Who goes in goal with all three substitutes used?

Vorm does take him out. It's not just a block, it's a high boot into

his middle. Rangel is going to finish the game

in goal for Michael Laudrup's Swansea, who are now staring down

the barrel of a derby day defeat. A wonderful return to the days when

there was no sub keeper. We all enjoy it, let's be honest. Swansea

fans not particularly enjoy in today at all.

Carried over the bar by the makeshift goalkeeper. I bet Peter

Whittingham thought, all I have to do is get this on target. Not

quite. He just wants the time to tick away. They have been reports

with all the unrest off the field at Cardiff, the owner supposedly in

charge of many things that maybe he shouldn't be, that Malky Mackay's

position is always under threat. He is a hero to the Cardiff supporters,

and that status will only rise further when the full-time whistle

is blown here today. He's got his whistle and he's had enough. That's

it. Cardiff City have won the South Wales derby, thanks to one thumping

Stephen Caulker header. Red is the colour for the celebrating

Bluebirds. It was a special day for everybody in south Wales to have the

derby at the highest level. It was an excellent advert for football

today. I thought the stadium was fantastic, rocking from the first

minute. An atmosphere like I've not heard before. Losing a derby is

always disappointing for everybody, fans, players, everybody, stuff. It

was a game we really wanted to win. I -- a plan was to control it,

especially in the first half. I think we did that quite well. These

kind of games are always very tight. We played with a high tempo.

They only may be had that chance in the whole game. It's a fantastic

feeling to get the goal and get the three points. It was an important

game for us today. Especially being a derby. It was nice for the fans to

go home happy. There was talk in the build-up about Gary Medel. How have

you found him to work with? We have a top footballer. You hear about his

reputation as one of the top footballers in South America. When

you get people discussing him, then you know what kind of player he is.

I don't have anything on. I have the pressure of every week winning,

making sure that we are in this division next year. I've got a

steely determination about myself and what we've got here and what

myself and my staff have been building hipper two years. I won't

let anything else upset that. You can analyse a game as much as

you want, but do think one side just wants it more than the other? It

looked that way for me, Cardiff showed so much desire and intention.

Exactly. Swansea could never get into the

game. Cardiff put them under pressure. They were sharp and quick

with passion. They got better and better, Cardiff. It was actually

Swansea who started the better. Right from the word go, Swansea came

out and kept possession very well. This was Michu after five minutes, a

great ball in from Jonjo Shelvey. That is world-class. It Michu saw it

again, he might have hit it into the ground. Cardiff, for me, started to

slowly get back into the game, mainly through Medel, the ?11

million record signing. He was instrumental. He marshalled that

central role. He broke up play. He tackled, he trapped miners. He was

the pick of the midfielders on the pitch today. ?11 million is not

cheap but he really showed his class. Look at the room he had

there, he showed a different range of passing. Medel was in touching

distance of the ball. Showing great strength against a player twice his

size, Michu. So comfortable with his passing. He was instrumental today.

He did the basics so well today, everything was class. He dominated

that midfield. Dropping deeper as the game went on. It allowed the

full-backs to get forward. He knows when to stand and slide in

the tackle. This map shows how he allowed the

full-backs to progress. You want a midfielder to drop in as an

auxiliary centre-half. You need to get the balance right and Cardiff

did that well. Medel could cover for the

full-backs. He did very well today. He showed great leadership. That is

what you want from a record signing. Take us through the goal, Kevin.

Caulker, we have seen him score a wonderful header against Fulham

earlier in the season. He is the main attacker. And out swinging ball

from Bellamy. A wonderful downward header. The set off from -- setup

from Swansea, you can see for key points. Michu again in a really good

position to attack the ball. As made, a good setup.

Swansea are doing all the right things. The near post is covered.

Three attackers upfront picked up by the Swansea defenders. Caulker

eventually scored the goal. The most disappointing thing to me is Michu.

He gets attracted to the ball for no reason. That's the game-winner. Are

we looking at Jonjo Shelvey as well, who is covering if the caller is hit

properly. It's as if he struggles to find it.

He is not designated to stand on the post. Sometimes, that is a goal

conceded from a corner. You can be overcritical of defenders. Caulker

captained the side, he wanted to head out into the net more than

Chico Flores wanted to defend it. I thought he overpowered him. A

fantastic header. Sometimes you have to give it credit it deserves.

I have done that position before, if it is under hit, you can click it.

As it goes overhead, you have to go back onto the line.

You like someone to cover it? Exactly, getting runners in front.

It is a difficult position. You have to react quickly. It is fine detail

to win or lose matches. Still to come: We've the top six

exceptional! Ruiz hits it, it comes back again,

Sidwell from distance, another phenomenal goal for Fulham. Goodness

me! Where are these shots coming from, that flew into the top corner.

Suarez. He finds Sissoko. Suarez with the header! A perfect cross for

Luis Suarez. With power, into the top corner.

Sturridge, Gerrard ahead of him. A lovely chip. I say, what a goal!

What about that? Absolutely inch perfect. What a goal!

King. He finds Colback. Feed it to Borini. He has smashed it home. If

Borini took over from Altidore, and then nearly took the net off. Red

There have been plenty of arguments in the office.

Back to today, and a heavyweight clash on Merseyside.

The Premier league 's -- The Premier League's two youngest managers, two

teams bang in form, separated by just one point. Everton are unbeaten

at home, and have won five of their last six. While Spurs have made

their best ever start to a Premier League campaign. At Goodison Park,

John Murray. This is a match which promises much

on it last three Sunday afternoon. Everton bring Leon Osman back into

the team. He takes the place of Barkley, the first time the

19-year-old has been left out of the starting line-up for a Premier

league match this season. Tottenham then the same side that started

their last league game. Andros towns and is fully recovered from his

tumble into the photographers test picked at White Hart Lane. This has

been designated as Everton's remembrance fixture.

The last home match before Remembrance Sunday in a week. A day

dedicated to our armed services by Everton football club.

Just as at White Hart Lane, Lennon has started on the left, towns and

on the right, for Tottenham. They did switch from time to time and we

will see that again today. Sandro. Howard had to make ground.

It is the Everton goalkeeper called into action first. Andre

Villas-Boas, very vocal about the role he felt Spurs home supporters

need to play for their team this season. At the same time he was very

confidentially their support. -- complementary about their support.

Soldado. He thinks he might have done better. Well done, Lennon.

Soldado scored the winner from the penalty spot last Sunday against

Hull City, his sixth goal for Tottenham since his summer arrival.

Roberto Martinez, the last away manager to win here at Goodison Park

in the FA Cup in the quarterfinal last season.

Vertonghen did well there. Just caught by McCarthy.

McCarthy. Just a little run across the back. That is a yellow card.

Holtby and Walker. Kyle Walker. Just patted away by Tim Howard who will

have had the sun in his eyes. Townsend took no risks at all. Tim

Howard took no risks. Vertonghen has gone to ground.

Looking at the referee. How easily has Vertonghen got the

ground there? Quite easily. Villas-Boas doesn't see it that way.

And that is just about Everton's best effort so far. Lukaku, lovely

touch. It has gone all the way to Pienaar.

That hit Dawson. I think we can say officially now

this is Everton's best spell of the match so far.

Was he caught? Coleman shoots. Now, it was Vertonghen who put in the

challenge on Coleman. Strangely, they were the two players that were

involved in the Everton penalty area for Tottenham's penalty shout in the

first half. I think Everton may have had a stronger case. Neither rob

them given. -- neither of them given.

An elbow in the ribs. He has felt that. Kevin Friend is just letting

the Spanish international know that he has his number.

Barry looking for Lukaku. He's been caught by the knee of Lukaku.

Lukaku, Dawson and Chiriches have immediately called for attention for

their goalkeeper. Fortunately, he is conscious. Goodness me, that's

nasty! The cackle was yellow carded. On

seeing that replay, you are really worried for Lloris there. You almost

expect him to have a whiplash injury. They are not going to take

any chances, and rightly so. Brad Friedel is coming on. He is

unwilling, he doesn't want to go. Brad Friedel is not sure whether or

not he's going to get his opportunity.

That's it, they finally been able to... No, not yet. Has he been

cleared to do this? Kevin Friend is now going to have a look for

himself, the referee. We believe that is a doctor.

You would have to make a proper medical call on this. I'm pleased

somebody is able to see the funny side. He has been cleared to carry

on. Bang goes Brad Friedel's first Premier League appearance of the

season. Good work to block the Baines cross.

He knows only too well how dangerous they can be.

There is confirmation that Lukaku did injure himself.

How is Hugo Lloris? He still doesn't remember the incident with Lukaku.

He obviously lost consciousness there. A difficult moment for us to

take. But he seemed very assertive and determined to continue. It shows

great character and personality. If he still doesn't remember the

incident, should he really have stayed on the pitch? I think so. The

player is focused and driven. It was a big knock but he looked composed

and ready to continue on. Do you think it was there enough that

Lukaku was booked for his challenge on Hugo Lloris? You need to ask the

referee what was his angle. I saw it as a complete accident. He comes out

full of bravery. He catches the ball wrong. It's just the man trying to

get there first. As it happens, there's a collision. I didn't see

the purpose or the reason for a yellow card. As captain, you were

very involved in that. Am I right in thinking you were saying, leave the

field, go. I lead them boys but at the end of the day, your safety is

the thing. When Hugo hit the ground he was in a bad way. By the time

he'd come round, he was wanting to stay on. He is in there now, a

little bit dazed but he is feeling a lot better. Neil pretty much sums

that up. They've had a fantastic defensive record all season. We've

done really well and kept clean sheets or conceded a couple of

sloppy goals. It was nice to get back to a clean sheet today. Hugo

Lloris is known as the fastest keeper of his line in the Premier

League, the phrase sweeper keeper has been coined for him. He was

lucky to have not been more seriously injured today. It's one of

those things as a goalkeeper, you have to put your body on a line and

those other side effects that can happen. Injuries are part of the. He

showed his face in getting out to the ball quickly today. It's a

yellow card, as Lukaku hits a little bit late with the knee. I didn't

think it was malicious. Lloris was very brave today. That's not a

pretty sight. Very scary for him. I've had to turn my head every time

I've seen it! On the concussion subject, there's a lot of debate on

social media since that happened. We've had several players who

suffered concussion this season. Lukaku himself, Flamini against

Norwich, he missed the Dortmund game because of the five-day rule. Robert

Snodgrass earlier this week at Old Trafford. Do you think there needs

to be some uniformity on it will here? There is no clarity on it.

Sometimes when it has happened, you missed even the following week's

game. I think that is a heavy clash there today. He took a really bad

bang to the head. That decision should be made for him to take off

the pitch. That is my opinion. I can't believe that Lloris was

allowed to carry on today. This rule has got to be cleared up. If a

player loses consciousness, I know he regained it quickly after, you

could clearly see he was out of it for a few seconds. Surely he has to

then be taken off. The doctors have to make that decision. Never mind

how much the keeper wants to stay on, they've got automatically take

him off. Let's have a look at Everton, your former club. How have

you sensed them evolving from David Moyes to Martin is? They've had a

really good start to the season but it is a very similar start to last

season. I heard Roberto Martinez saying he recognises the club he's

coming to an the squad that David Moyes built. He recognises the job

that David Moyes has done. They scored more goals last season. For

me, we talk about the deadline day that Everton had this season. I

think the signings of Gareth Barry, but Lukaku, I think he has been

outstanding. He has scored goals, looked powerful and strong, he's

caused so many problems for defences. Today he didn't get too

much change out of Dawson. But you see how positive he is. He tried to

get him felt isolated today, that is where he got most of his joy. He

provides Everton with that different outlet. I felt in the first half

they went long far too often to him, but he has come short here looking

for the ball, going in behind. That's what I like about him. You

can leave yourself isolated at times. Is that what you would call

an outfall? Yes. He's looking to play off the shoulder of him. He

reacts after that and almost gets a chance. Dawson did really well to

prevent it there. One thing he does very well is open up the space for

the midfield as well. He lets McCarthy gamble for the ball, Osman

picked up the second ball really well. Did that contrast with Soldado

for you? That the chance of the game there. I can't believe this man is

keeping Jermaine Defoe out of the side. AVB keeps going with him. We

pictured him here, he's too far outside the six yard area. He should

be in a six yard area. For me, he gets involved in the build-up but a

confidence Soldado hits that with his left foot, he gets in a bit of a

mix-up with Sigurdsson and Ericsson eventually gets it. That is a

flailing elbow. If the referee sees that, I know he has hit Jagielka in

his chest but if I was a Spurs supporter, I be looking for more

from a player that has cost ?25 million. He needs to move more in

the box. He needs to show a bit more desire. He's a different store of

striker. You are putting him like a Suarez, that type of build. If he

plays up front on his own, he's a different proposition than what

we've seen Soldado this season. And AVB keeps going with him, , to the

detriment of leaving Jermaine Defoe on the bench. More sport on the way

after us, highlights of the second weekend of the rugby league World

Cup. It's been an another dramatic day with Wales needing a win. Or

they will be knocked out by the surprise side of the World Cup, the

USA Tomahawks. Scotland have been taking on the fancied Italians. And

we also have all the action at the favourites, Australia, faced Fiji.

And there's reaction to England's win against Ireland, all from

11:30pm writing on BBC One. Do you like watching your saves

back? It's quite nice to see. It's a little bit embarrassing at times

watching yourself, but that's really cool to see. Yesterday, obviously we

know what happened after 13 seconds with your goal. In general, how was

the game against Southampton? It was a tough fought game. Southampton are

a really good side. We had to work really hard to get our point. We

couldn't build momentum after our great start. We had a couple of

chances to make it 2-0. It was a tough game, tough conditions which

killed the game because both teams really wanted to play the ball on

the floor. When you go back into the dressing room at half-time, having

done something like that, what's the reaction? We were a bit disappointed

to have conceded the goal at half-time. It was a bit overshadowed

by that. We tried to focus on the rest of the game. We got a good

point in the end. It was a wonderful strike. You are not on a goal bonus?

I missed that one. I had a go at my age and already. Red quite a lot of

debate about whether Jay Rodriguez meant this or not. I don't think he

meant it. It's a good header. To be fair, a great ball is played to him

there. It catches us off guard. That's the quality Southampton have.

They are a top team, really impressive this season. Again,

wonderful ball in and decent goal. They are all good players. What's

the difference this year under Marcuse to what it was last year?

We are trying to keep the ball on the floor more this year. We still

have to get the results. We are trying to stay solid. Finding the

right balance of playing. Using all the different options. Tony Pulis

has done a great job in keeping the club promoted. It is now a different

era. You have to recognise the fundamentals of the game is what

Tony Pulis has brought defensively. Exactly. You need a solid base. We

are working hard, getting better every day. And to progress as a

team. That was a fantastic save at the end. Thank you. It was good to

hold on for a point. There were a couple of handball possibilities.

It is the interpretation of the rules, you never know what quite is

intentional, what is a penalty. We got a lucky call. Talk to us about

the Goalkeepers' Union. You looked, not embarrassed, but as

if you felt for Boruc. Of course. Those things make you look a fall at

times. I know what it is like to be in that position. Difficult for me

to celebrate. We had fortune with the wind and a lucky bounce.

When we look back at other goalkeepers who have scored in the

Premiership, celebrations are kept to a minimum.

It depends what goals use score, if it is a Lucky strike, you don't want

to rub it in. You are happy to score a goal. It is a once in a lifetime.

It is tough when a goalkeeper scores, you don't prepare for that.

Tim Howard looking bashful. Goalkeepers' Union Does the, and

that feeling of sympathy, does that extend to the moment when you see

someone like Joe Hart getting the criticism?

You get asked questions about goalkeepers, it is a tough time for

Joe Hart. When the bad times happen, you don't see the ball the way you

want to, or react. If he keeps working hard, once he gets his

chance again, he will be fine. Do you think goalkeeping is

different at a big club, or one expected to win most games, as

opposed to a mid-table club. Possibly, you are under more

scrutiny, you play more high profile games. You have to deal with the

pressure. You are exposed to that kind of pressure. It is something

that Joe Hart has to deal with. It is a unique position. One mistake

could cost you a goal. It is part of the job. You can be a hero or zero.

International football, you have a World Cup to go to with Bosnia and a

friendly against Argentina. Kevin wants to reel off all the Argentine

players you might meet! On a serious note, the World Cup is

a big thing to look forward to. I am looking forward to the draw next

A huge match at the Emirates where a move would move Arsenal five clear

at the top and have the pundits arguing over whether they can win

the title. A great chance. Off the post, what a

good follow-up bike has all. A really good follow-up. What a noise

around the Emirates. Santi Cazorla has his first goal of

the season. Sturridge to Suarez. That has to be

a yellow card. Martin Atkinson has blown for the free kick. The whistle

has long gone. He is saying he took the free quick quickly -- kick

Everything is flying in for the Welshman. That is ten goals this

season. He has almost doubled his tally of goals for the Gunners in

the space of three months. That is exquisite.

Cold and stormy weather, a raucous atmosphere and a home team eager to

put their defeat behind them. A top assignment for Chelsea.

say a great deal. Anita did superbly well. Remy clipped the inside of the

post. It was only going in one direction. The ripple at the back of

the net that heralded the roar around St James's Park. And a famous

win for Newcastle. One City very, very good. The other

simply awful at the Etihad. With Joe Hart on the bench, we learned little

about his club replacement, but his England deputy was a very busy man.

Lovely weight on that pass, a good build-up. Silva, Aguero scores! Very

fortunate. Huge deflection. Aguero takes the acclaim, suggesting he

didn't know much about it. The first touch was brilliant,

pushing it back, Silva arriving, that is two - zero. Silva gets the

goal, but it was the touch of Aguero which created it.

It is 3-0. Nastasic up from the back. Atoning for last week's error.

Deflected in from the defender. Chris Hughton will be wary that his

Fantastic. Jack Wilshire actually start the move off. It is great one

touch football and it's a brilliant, composed finish. A

totally different gold to Kasami's. More of a team goal. It's a real

cool finish. Kasami's was instinct, brings it down off his chest, great

Folly technically but I prefer Jack's goal. One is individual

brilliance and one is team brilliance. They are two different

goals. For me, the Kasami goal is special. Get into the far corner

like that, that has got to be Goal of the Month. Fair play to Jack

Wilshire, that was a great goal. You treated, this goal is the best

Premier League goal ever scored. I stand by that. I look back at the

history of the Premier League, van Persie's wonderful goal last season,

Wayne Rooney's overhead kick. But to do what he did there on his bad

foot, he's run 30 to 40 yards into space, took it on his chest, gone

away from the goal, on his weaker foot. That's a special goal. Are you

assuming that may be more Arsenal fans are watching than Fulham fans

are? It's an outstanding team goal. I don't agree with him saying it is

better than Kasami's, but I've got to say it was a wonderful goal and

any other month, I think that would win it. Let's take a look at the

will take something special to beat that. That's the good. The bad is

all about Andros Townsend's last seven days. Last week he went over
