Two crucial games, two expert pundits,

and all of Saturday's action to come over the next hour.

Alan Shearer and Trevor Sinclair watched the day unfold -

First stop Anfield, as two heavyweights met -

or teams sixth and ninth in the league, depending

on your viewpoint, and over the years, they've

Separated and divided by managerial philosophy. Louis van Gaal wants to

win at all costs. If United are unsuccessful here, it will be just

one victory in nine. Their worst run in 27 seasons and a step nearer the

exit door for the Dutchman. Lucas replaces Ibe to make some -- add

some steel to the midfield. United have won three from three under Van

Gaal. All changed after the draw at Newcastle that left their manager

frustrated over lost opportunities. Anderson wins that. A lovely through

ball. David de Gea manages the saver from Adam Lallana. Smalling was

back, guarding the goal. David de Gea seems to be caught in no man's

land. The first big chance. Laulala was there. But the follow-up was

wide. It is a cold day. Why top atmosphere.

-- a white hot atmosphere. A good cross the room. Opening things up to

Milner. Short on the run. No alternative, really. It with power.

All was going wide. Eddie Jones among the Manchester United fans. I

am sure some of the other players are in there as well. The Liverpool

fans baying for a free kick. Lucas, unhappy with the Laney. -- Fellaini.

We heard about it from the Liverpool fans on that far side before we saw

it clearly. A flash point, less than a quarter of an hour in. With a game

like this, the players have a responsibility. Always passionate,

of course. You have to be on the edge for a game like this. There is

a line of which they must not cross. Eminently sensible refereeing. Calm

down, that is what he is saying, leave the decisions to me. And here

is Lallana, bringing in Nathaniel Clyne. Adventurous, the combination

of United players get it away. Schneiderlin was hurt by his

team-mate. Lucas, Henderson, and a to Adam Lallana. Anderson! A good

chance. Was he going for goal or was he trying to cross it in?

High-energy. Good football by Liverpool. Well played. Manchester

United, they look very much as if they came here for a point. Can they

get a chance? Here is Anthony Martial, all the way to the box.

Well played. That is about as promising as they have been in this

first half. Yet to have a shot on target. Lucas, Moreno, handball. He

has been peripheral today, operating in advance of Schneiderlin and the

Laney. -- Marouane Fellaini. Rather fortunate with his feet. He does

have a tendency to make saves on his feet. Some of his stops are

unorthodox and that one certainly was. He got lucky. That is the

closest we've come to a goal. Rooney is in the middle. Liverpool are

hesitant. He steers it wide. That is the cause is that Manchester United

have been. Liverpool standing like statues. He went up through the

paces. Rocco are among the Manchester fans. Refreshing.

A high line by the Liverpool defence. Expecting a ball into

Marouane Fellaini. Towards Anthony Martial. He went down on the edge of

the box and so did Herrera. Adam Lallana, possible Liverpool break.

Switched intelligently. A better second half. What a good ball.

Still, the players are too frantic, caught up by the occasion.

Manchester United, thinking that was a penalty. His foot went on to the

Liverpool player, Sakho, and likewise. The referee was right.

Moreno has won the personal battle with Lingard. A decent ball as well.

Except Henderson. Straight at the goalkeeper. Probably Liverpool's

best chance. Arriving in space with time to pick a spot. On comes Juan

Mata. Frantic so far. He is cultured and he has had a hand in seven

goals, scoring or creating, in his last six league games against

Liverpool. Daley Blind has treated well for Manchester. The best moment

of the game. A great double save, although the second one was a bit

weird. Liverpool, 15 efforts they have had, six on targets, this is

the best of them. The goalkeeper reacting well with a good save.

Schneiderlin, Anthony Martial. That was a bold run. Yaya Toure

complaining that his midfielders did not get back. The fans behind

Mignolet's goal. Looking for the Laney! Rooney! Manchester United are

ahead. -- looking for Fellaini. His first goal here since January of

2005. The long wait for Rooney back in his home City is over. And at

Liverpool, having dominated the ball for so long, having corrected more

chances, they are behind. A quality cross. Fellaini, off the bar, eight

cracking finish. Absolutely belted it in. Look what it means. Yet

again, a ball from a wide position into the heart of the Liverpool

defence, has caused them problems. But they could not deal with that.

There is Emma Chan. -- Emre Can. Surely that is offside? The keeper

was allowed to claim that the flag stayed down. He was onside. But he

was unawares. That was a big chance for Liverpool. And this has been an

important Manchester United victory. Wayne Rooney as exercised some of

his Anfield demons with a winning goal. Pressure at least an Van Gaal.

An excellent clean sheet for him. Liverpool created chances but did

not take them. Manchester United created one on targets and to get.

1-0. Rooney's Manchester United. In the first half, we have survived. We

don't keep the ball too much, because they gave a lot of pressure.

In the second half, we created chances and we scored the winning

goal, so I am very happy and the players are very happy. And the fans

are more happy than that. It was great to score. Obviously against

Liverpool, for this football club it is a massive result to get three

points. On a personal level, it went much better. You did not take your

chances but they too players. Is that how you see it? I did not see

too many chances from Manchester United. But that's right, we lost

the game, and we should not have lost. The goal was to defend and we

did not do that and so that is our responsibility. We have to change

it. We cannot sit here every three days and talk about excuses. I know

that some of the lads were in the crowds today and I'm sure they

probably enjoyed it more than us, being in the crowd. I'm sure we will

have a video and stories from them tomorrow. The space is big between

us and the top four now. If we want to go there, we have to win games

and that is the only way. If we start like that, we can talk about

that. We have made a good start in 2016. The beta Liverpool for the

second time in a row, it is marvellous. -- to beat Liverpool. We

urge you to win our games. We want to end the season within the top

three positions. Overall, two Liverpool and Manchester United

games this season that seem to have lacked any intensity. Do you agree?

Two giant football clubs, one big anticlimax. The standard of football

from both teams today was pure. -- poor. Both teams on million miles

away from where they once were and where they want to be. It will take

time. It definitely was not a classic. You can say that again! An

important three points, to keep Manchester in touch of the top four

and sometimes you have to win ugly, and they did that. You have to give

Van Gaal credit because like at Newcastle, he was not prepared to

settle for the draw, he went for the win with his substitutions, bringing

an Memphis Depay and Juan Mata. And he went two down the middle with

Anthony Martial and Rudy. And they got three big points. Something that

Jurgen Klopp said in that post match interview, about how he does not

want to stand up every three days and talk about how they deal

defensively with set pieces. Well, you better get back on the training

ground because Liverpool have an issue. They cannot handle crosses

into the box. There is no organisation among the defenders. It

cost them against Exeter and it cost them against Arsenal. Two goals from

corners. And it has cost them again today, unfortunately. It is simple.

Really. I thought that Manchester United identified the problem early

on. That ball really should go into the box and put the goalkeeper under

pressure. All the Manchester United players should attack the ball and I

thought Rooney would whip this in. I was surprised that he did not. And

outswinger from Daley Blind. Not one player attacks into the danger area.

It gets cleared and it was a poor ball. The second corner, they tried

to play to the edge of the box and I was thinking, why do they not put

the goalkeeper under pressure? Juan Mata comes on and he changed it, to

be fair. A decent ball in. Fellaini climbs above and Rooney smashes that

into the net. But man marking, Lucas and Rooney. The ball comes in, but

look at the four defenders around Marouane Fellaini. And he jumps

above every single one of them. It is a decent header, and it comes

back to Rooney, marked by Lucas but no longer. He smashes it into the

roof of the net with the only shot on target in the game. Three points,

thank you. They have had four shots on target

against Liverpool and scored all four. Liverpool have conceded from

corners, the game in September was under Rogers, the others under

Klopp. It has cost them points. You can see that, by the fact there

isn't W next to any of the scores. It has cost them loads of points and

it will continue, if players don't start concentrating and sticking

with their men. But you are right, they have dropped so many points,

because of that. If you take the positives for Liverpool, then Jurgen

Klopp said it in his post-match interview again, they had chances,

whereas Manchester United he was very keen to point out had a chance.

They will feel like they should have won that game or at least got

something out of it. They were the better team, had more imagination,

created situations, but the end products good enough. You can see

here hopeful ball forward, on the front foot, getting the second ball,

fantastic vision Firmino, good ball, Milner can't just take it a little

bit earlier and get the shot on target. Good linkup play, plenty of

bodies going forward for Liverpool. The wrong option. Did they look to

exploit that right-hand channel and Paul Darmian out of position?

Darmian was very narrow and there was a big space on that side and

Liverpool kept getting down there. Really good position there,

Henderson will be disappointed he didn't hit the target. Again,

execution. But this is positive stuff for Kop. He has seen his team

get the better of Manchester United, a great step over by Can there, a

fantastic save by De Gea, world class. It shows how important De Gea

is to that Manchester United side. It's way too easy getting through,

fantastic big and gets up for the reaction save which is like a

basketball palm away. Good feet. He won Man of the Match, De Gea. He

definitely deserved it. Again, Liverpool asking all the questions,

Manchester United wide-open. A fantastic pull-backs, a little bit

of confusion there. Why doesn't he just finished that first-time? He

thinks he is offside. Firmino in a great position, he feels he's on top

of the goalkeeper, he thinks is the use offside. If he knows he is

on-site... You should never think, just do it, put it in the back of

the net and worry about it when the assistant sticks the flag up. 19

shots they had, four on target, that equation itself is not good enough

in the final third. If they are getting in that many positions they

should be hitting the target and working De Gea more. I will give you

start to maybe show the wasn't particularly high-quality, both

sides in their passing accuracy, way down on what it will be during a

normal season. Manchester United 12% down, Liverpool 6% down. You sat in

the office, Alan, like Father Jack in Father Ted and your chair,

moaning all the way through this. Liverpool were the better team. I

know they are better than what they are showing here, but some of these

passes, and it happened for both teams during the whole game, simple

passes should be doing better, Can thinks he has time on the ball,

which he didn't, and it was straight path -- straight path after stray

pass, this time it was Fellaini's turn. It was an incredible poor

standard of football. Very poor, Van Gaal said in his post-match

interview it was because Liverpool pressed so hard. There was hardly an

pressure on a lot of those balls where they were giving it away,

looking for hopeful passes instead of manipulating the play and playing

a safe path. A big result for Van Gaal? Massive, three huge points.

When these two teams last met, it was a miserable September

afternoon for the travelling Stoke side - a 2-0 defeat meant no wins

in three and a place at the bottom of the league for Mark Hughes's men.

However, since then there has been a change of fortune

at the Staffordshire club - only losing two of their next 11

games, boosting them into the top half of the table.

So with Europe looking increasingly like a possibility -

can they hold on, or will Wenger's on-from Arsenal spoil the party?

Arsenal's problems in the potteries are well-known. Without a win in

their last five games at Stoke this will be a big test of their title

winning credentials. A draw would take them to the back of the top --

back to the top of the table. Stoke have been winning, six of their last

ten Premier League matches. The team is the one that started in the

victory over Norwich. Shaqiri isn't fit to return, but the attacking

quartet that does play, Walters, Bojan, Arnautovic and Joselu are in

form. A minor foot injury to Ozil means there is one change from the

Gunners' thrilling midweek draw at Liverpool. Incomes Alex

Oxlade-Chamberlain, against the club his dad Mark James Lynn came to

prominence with, winning eight England caps in the early 1980s --

Chamberlain. He is unbeaten as a Premier League manager, Hughes,

against Arsenal, winning five and drawing two. Walters in the

Arnautovic, neatly turned to Ebrahim. Afellay. Cech dives and

clause dinner. How far away was it? -- he claws that the spin out. He

shifted it nicely into the space, from which he could shoot

unchallenged, and it's always drifting away and Petr Cech knew

that. Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alta Bellerin.

-- out to Bellerin. Joel Campbell has got it through the

Giroud. Met by Butland. Off his line, quick as a flash, and he

thwarts Arsenal after what has been their best move of the game. Lovely

passing, especially that one, from Campbell to Giroud. Watching it all

like a hawk was Jack Butland. Straightaway he was there to close

down the Arsenal striker. Oxlade-Chamberlain drifted away from

Bojan nicely. Oxlade-Chamberlain. Good try, met with an equally good

save. Makes Oxlade-Chamberlain's 13 Arsenal goals have all been scored

at the Emirates, bar one. That came in the Community Shield against

Chelsea, at the start of this season, so he has yet to net away

from home. That was a decent shot. Well saved by Butland. Brownsea has

the corner. Oxlade-Chamberlain has another go and it was deflected wide

by Koscielny. It was hit so hard towards him there was nothing he

could do to get out of the way. It is on target from

Oxlade-Chamberlain. He tries does Koscielny but it happened too fast

for him. A second longest serving manager in a Premier League, and the

man at the top of pop the pile, Arsene Wenger, in his 20th season.

He wanted to make sure as Joselu closed him down, great energy being

displayed by everybody in a red and white striped shirt, as there

usually is. Here is Bojan, trying to curl it. Didn't manage to. Cech

perhaps holding his hands up just to acknowledge but he didn't seem quite

so sure on the ball, and Mertesacker was having to back away. He will

think you might have done better with a final shot. I don't think

there's any doubt that Arsenal have missed what Mesut Ozil brings to

their play so far today. Giroud can't turn it into Ramsey's path.

That was Pieters, striking straight against Oxlade-Chamberlain, he

charges down Pieters. Pieters things unnecessarily so. Absolutely

necessary, from an Arsenal point of view because Oxlade-Chamberlain

managed to force a corner with that run.

Ramsey in, a free header, a great save by Butland. That's twice he's

kept out Olivier Giroud. The Stoke question will be how on earth did

Arsenal's leading scorer find himself so free in their penalty

area? Arsenal's new signing, named among their substitutes today,

Mohamed Elneny. The first half had precious little in terms of

incident. Now we have got plenty. Incident and more energy.

Giroud has peeled away to the left. It's Walcott who goes through the

middle, Walcott, was he held onto? He is aghast that he hasn't got a

penalty. Just a cursory shake off the head from Craig Pawson. If not a

penalty, then maybe a free kick. Walcott's arm is being pulled back

by Wollscheid. Oxlade-Chamberlain. Oxlade-Chamberlain waiting for

Flamini, in came Greg Whelan. He digs out his team-mate. Monreal is

down, as though unfairly blocked. He is going to stay down Stoke get on

with it. Afellay bounced off the ball by Giroud. Here is Campbell,

Monreal has bounced back to his feet. He is not in his left-back

spot though. Arnautovic goes in the middle to Joselu, good strong hands

from Cech and he's there to keep out Bojan as well. Nicely weighted by

Arnautovic. Well struck by Joselu. Cech says Arsenal twice. -- saves

Arsenal twice. Stoke are getting it right for their manager, not just

today, but ever since he started the job that he was brought to the

Britannia Stadium to do. The ball was gifted to Stoke.

Arnautovic in the centre. Bishop was deflected on saved by Petr Cech. --

the shot was deflected. Nicely taken on by Joselu. There was a little

touch off Koscielny which might have made the save from Cech better than

it first appeared. Koscielny get his bearings back, to loop the ball up.

Up goes Giroud. There is Walcott, a nice touch from Theo Walcott, and

another. He will go first time in towards Oxlade-Chamberlain, but

unsuccessfully. There are Stoke shouts of hand ball here, as Joel

Campbell went up with Koscielny. I think sometimes the constant

appealing for hand ball is what is muddying the waters. Because there

is nothing at all that he can do about that touching a part of his

arm. There is nothing deliberate about it whatsoever. It will be very

neatly taken, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Campbell in room to the right.

Campbell went for goal, he had Bellerin running strongly behind

him. Time running out. It's the sort of promising opportunity which is

going to end with something positive. Campbell, as soon as he

got that, wasn't going to look for a team-mate.

It has gone through the ad. -- Adam. Adam's blast against the knees of

Mertesacker, but well recovered, Charlie Adam. It a punch instead.

Drilled back in by Whelan. It's going to be a corner. Charlie Adam

kept on going. Whelan ordered everybody out of his way to hit

that, and it's Koscielny who made sure it didn't trouble Petr Cech. In

comes the corner, flicked towards goal and off the line by Ramsey, and

cleared again. Stoke came mightily close. Ramsey in the right place to

head the ball away, it was Cech with the second block. What a flick on

that was additive -- it was going in but for Ramsey's excellent

positioning. We approached the game in the right manner, made chances,

both keepers made good saves at key times and all in all we are pleased,

obviously it shows our progress. We have run up against elite teams,

Arsenal have been one of them, the likes of Chelsea, Man United, Man

City, and they get -- it is difficult for them to get points

against us. We need to be strong physically, have a great spirit, and

we did that very well. They fought hard for 90 minutes and we couldn't

take our chances and in the end it's very hard-fought 0-0, where we come

out, having done better many years before. We have shown again that we

can fight, even though we miss many players, we can fight together to

get the result. Was it a typical Stoke Arsenal contest? We've been

yes, I think so, we have had up a good fight especially a the

Britannia. We knew it would be a tough day, they are top of the

league for a reason. They have quality players. We are pretty

pleased. I was beat my contribution and overall game. I have to say we

fought really hard for this point -- I was pleased. I think we showed

everybody we can compete and we are ready to compete.

A field players sit in those chairs and choose to talk about

goalkeepers, they have them and the goalkeepers union get annoyed, but

tonight you're going to praise them? We don't like to but we will,

through gritted teeth, because there were two great performances. One

from Butland, so quick and sharp. -- Butland. It was a fantastic save.

And this one, from a corner, a free header, parries away the shot from

Olivier Giroud. That was a superb save. And Petr Cech, we have got

used to this, great feet. Jocelyn steps inside. And the reaction

impressed me so much. -- Joselu. But himself and the angle and says, you

are not getting this in the goal. Again, here, with Stoke on the

attack, the shot on target, and we saw this midweek, he parried it

straight out, and he would not do that twice on the spin. Johnson was

waiting, and it was not be. Sometimes you cannot make it with

your hands. This was just a great reaction. Going the wrong way, good

agility, clears his lines. Two fantastic performances from great

keepers at different places their careers. I want to give you some

stats. Petr Cech, ten clean sheets this season, the most in the Premier

League alongside Joe Hart. 81 saves from Jack Butland, the most in the

Premier League. A different ends of the age spectrum but you have

praised David de Gea, and Jack Butland, look at Joe Hart even, all

in their 20s, and yet common wisdom has always been the goalkeeping,

goalkeepers need to be mature. It has always been widely accepted that

they did not reach their prime until they got into their 30s. We are

seeing a new generation now, partly because of the fact that the game

has changed, and they have to be footballers. They have to be on the

edge of the box prepared to play, to pass it out with their feet, so you

are right, we have seen some very, very good youngsters. Even in

academies now, cultures look at a player and if he is not athletically

good enough, and he will never be, as an outfield player, because they

have good feet, they will put him in there. They're like sweepers in

today's game, they recycled the ball, they go the other way. But

also, before our time, there was a little bit of contact and that was

why keepers needed to be away. You are older than me, are due? Before

his time? Did you watch him?! He did make contact with some goalkeepers,

you know. Now you can't do that. I used to give as good as I got. Of

course she did. But Jan, Arnautovic, Shaqiri, they have all received

praise. But you are going to pick an unsung hero? -- Bojan. I think he is

such an important part of this team, and Glenn Whelan, he is so selfless

with what he does in this team. He stays in front of the back two, he

clears everything up, and his awareness is unbelievable. Is that

what has improved since you were with them? Absolutely. Look at this

hole that develops. He sees it and he fills the gap, makes a contact.

Something simple, organising. That is why there is not a big hole in

the middle of the defence. The free kicks, years on his toes, nice and

alert. Force is a mistake and then Stoke are on the attack. Good

passing. And here he realises he is under pressure and he keeps the ball

alive. And there is a chance created from that. He keeps the ball alive.

Great play and unlucky not to score. Again, when Johnson, a little flick.

Good rotation. Dictating play, keeping the ball, nice and safe and

reliable. He is not bothered about joining in, he has done his job.

Again, here, he shows his range. A nice, safe ball out to Glen Johnson.

A good touch. Again, how to Peters, a beautiful ball, nicely weighted.

Good defending from Monreal. He did this all day, breaking things down.

He does not want him turning, so the presses and squeezes, and gets the

touch. Listen, he does not score a lot of goals, Charlie Adam, he keeps

it alive here. Five in 245 games. This would have been the best.

Again, it is typical from them. Reliable, it's the target. A

fantastic performance. A lot of teams, you talk about Arsenal,

Coquelin, people keep giving him plaudits but this is the same type

of performance. This is why Chelsea, West Ham, Man United, they are

unable to score against them. That is a good point for Arsenal. When

you consider that Chelsea have been to Stoke City, and they have turned

them over, I think it shows a lot of character. Definitely. And it was

freezing. They could have gone missing, but they should adopt for

themselves. -- they stood up for themselves. Arsene Wenger said they

needed to be physical today but were they? There was not a yellow card in

the game. I think that was a bit disrespectful to Stoke City because

they gave as good as they got. They played as much good football as

Arsenal. I thought it was a very even game today. I thought the draw

was a fair result but it was a big point for Arsenal. In previous years

if you wanted to say that, you would have had difficulty but not this

season. 2 Good 2 Bad and a trip

to Bournemouth to come, after our first look

at Saturday's action - It's a goal! It is from a long, long

way out. He hits it hard, he takes it straight but it should have been

saved. It is a bolt from the Sky Blues and it is 1-0. David Silva

will try to get there with him. Aguero, hanging back. And it is in

for 2-0. It seemed as though there was a big deflection. Was it an own

goal? That can be deliberated later. In strongly, winning it. But fairly.

David Silva, Aguero... De Bruyne, Aguero. De Bruyne, he saw Aguero,

beautifully placed. That was simple for him. In from Jason Puncheon.

Good play by dimmer cellists. -- dimmer cellists. Aguero, David

Silva! It is another walk-in. A fourth Manchester City goal. He gets

into front the counterattack. He could have scored himself if he

wanted to but he very unselfishly set up David Silva. Manchester City

four, Crystal Palace 0. The new chairman this week, Steve Hollis,

local businessmen. And it is Leicester on the attack. Jamie

Vardy! It's given! Leicester have the lead. He could not keep it out

although he thought he had. So quick to react. Parried. No question. It

is a yard over. One goal from Leicester has left the weight of the

world on their shoulders. And there is Jamie Vardy. In the six yard

area! It's a penalty, I think. A penalty for handball. It was given

by the assistant on the far side, who signalled immediately. It has

all gone wrong for Aston Villa. Their stupid Leicester two up. And

it is saved. And that was a tepid penalty. Languid and wasteful. And

on things like that, games can turn. Gestede bundling his way through.

And scoring! And it is Leicester's turn to run to the referee.

Complaining to the referee that Rudy Gestede may have been offside. But

the substitution has paid off and they deserved equaliser. A hefty

slice. Sliding it through. Good play.

Sunderland have the lead through Patrick van Aanholt. He scores for

the third league game in a. Tom Dunn again with work to do. A match that

they really will feel they have to win. And here comes Harry Kane. A

good ball back. Eriksson with the shot and it is in. Cattermole could

not give it out. Tottenham respond instantly. -- Eriksen. A good

response from his team and they will be pleased about that. The ball

comes in, and it is O'Shea with the header. Pickford is there. Davis has

not cleared. Dembele for Tottenham. 2-1. Pickford at full stretch could

not reach it. Bottom corner. 2-1. Sunderland have won just one of

their last seven Premier League trips to London. And Eriksen finds

the net again! Christian Eriksen's his second of the match. And by a

deflection for the second time. But now Tottenham have a little bit of

reading room. Aston Villa beat 3-1 here earlier in the season.

Sunderland suffering the same fate. Good play by Spurs. Was he felt? Yet

he was. The cold, having deflected the shot, Tottenham have conceded

the penalty. -- Kirchhoff. Harry Kane on target yet again. 32 goals

in his last 50 Premier League matches. 4-1. A quick look at the

title race, if you thought today was a good point for Arsenal and Stoke,

two points dropped for Leicester at Villa? You could look at it that way

or you could say it was four pointing two away games. Three

points at Tottenham midweek and one point against Villa yesterday. They

probably should have got more with the missed penalty. But Leicester

are not going anywhere. I think they are there for the long haul.

Everyone expects them to drop points and falter, but they are staying

there. And you said the same about Spurs? Yes, they reacted well. They

got beaten at home and then they went down against Sunderland and you

were thinking, they showed great character. But they looked very

comfortable against Sunderland. And Manchester City? They need another

day. The first goals, fortuitous. The deflection from Fabian Delph,

long-range, disappointing. But in general, the last two were

world-class. Aguero and David Silva, they are starting to look fit again.

Aguero looked sharp. He came back in November and he has got five goals

since the end of November. He is looking good. You just want a bit

more consistency from him? I think it is just taking of David Silva and

young British managers, yet there is one huge difference between the two

what they have spent on players. And Bournemouth point ahead of Norwich.

Money isn't everything. A lot will depend on what happens between now

and the end of the season because Bournemouth have spent big already,

Grabban, Afobe, Tovey on loan from an already scoring goals so a lot

will depend obviously how those players settle in there. You might

just see Bournemouth getting a few more points from now. The fact they

have done that this transfer window and gone big with those three

players they have brought in, that could put pressure on clubs like

Norwich to maybe not match them, but... It's a gamble because of what

is at stake next season. When the big money comes in for the TV deals

next year, that is what Bournemouth are doing, banking on that. It's

different philosophies. Eddie Howe realises they need back-up, they

have bought it. I think he will get -- I think he thinks he will get

more points from it. I'm not sure of the same realisation at Norwich.

Were expecting Swansea to announce they have appointed another manager

today, and as we understand they are going to call him the head coach. He

will work alongside Alan Curtis, but that would appear he is now going to

be more in charge than Alan. Messy. Reminds me of Queens Park Rangers

was Chris Ramsey, it's very confusing. Ten days ago they

appointed Alan until the end of the season and ten days on its new head

coach. You look at Swansea many years ago, they have this philosophy

where they had the managers brought in, when one left they had one ready

to come in. It was usually a manager that got headhunted. He has been

successful at Udinese, he got them to finish third, fourth and fifth in

Serie A. There might be positives. Does he know the Premier League? We
