We begin at the Liberty Stadium, and a meeting of two Italians.

If they had been a touch more clinical, Chelsea, this game could

be beyond Swansea already. Just watch Hazard, mightily close.

Oscar. That was a late challenge on Ivanovic. It was Jordi Amat again.

Last chance saloon, I think. In from Oscar. Away by Llorente. Can

Swansea try and build something themselves? Looking for the pace of

Barrow. Sigurdsson unmarked in the centre. Courtois has come to meet

from nowhere, Swansea have the opportunity to level it up. Early

Sigurdsson, whose goal at the Liberty Stadium won this fixture for

Swansea last season, now has the opportunity to make it 1-1. And

Courtois has the opportunity to redeem himself.

And Chelsea, in a game that they have dominated, have lost their

lead. Game on again. 1-1. Chelsea dropped

21 points last season from leading positions. They've been pegged back

in this one. Cahill has been caught. Leroy Fer! 2-1, Swansea. What a

turnaround at the Liberty Stadium! Goodness me! Who on earth saw this

coming! He can't believe it, he certainly didn't. Leroy Fer's first

goal of the season and this is a moment Gary Cahill won't want to see

again. Every touch, caught in possession. It looked like Courtois

might have kept it out, but to no avail. Remarkable turnaround. And

from 1-0 down, in the blink of an eye, Chelsea now trail bike 2-1. --

by 2-1. Terrific effort from Leroy Fer, but does he get any of the

ball? It doesn't appear so. Gary Cahill asking the referee the

question, and you can understand why.

Ivanovic. Hazard. He might have the opportunity... Good work from

Fabianski. Costa. Andre Mariner says play on. That was a big call. Once

again, Swansea survive a difficult situation.

entertaining game, but it's me that suffers performance-wise because

personally I felt I had a very good game today, and that was taken away

from me. More importantly than anything, my team. We dropped two

points and I know how hard it is to win this league and how many is

little errors you can have in terms of dropping points. For me, look at

my face... It's incredible. The worrying thing for me, which I said

to him, was that, there's three of you. Three of you that can see that.

I'm saying, there's two fouls in that situation. Between the three of

them, they've just said that they didn't see that. Which for me is

incredible. It's obviously very hard to take, so the referee is still

standing by his decision? He's not seen it back. In fairness, I

criticised myself for my mistakes over 10-12 years I've been playing.

No doubt he will go back and look at it. We yearn for players to show us

that they care and that they are bothered. And you get all of that in

that interview? A40 spoke really brilliantly. Basically, it was a

foul. It was an assault. How Andre Marriner didn't see that, I don't

know. It was ridiculous. It cost Chelsea the match. The match was so

one-sided. But that wasn't such a big moment. You're just asking the

referee to make the right decision. Cahill was very measured, probably

more measured than Chris, to be honest, in how he described it and

tried to explain. I know you've both been punished for post-match

interviews in the past, but there should be no repercussions because

he just spoke from the heart? None whatsoever. Not only that, he was

respectful in what he said. He's made mistakes within his own career

as a player. You put your hand up and say, my fault, gaffer. He just

wants the referee to do the same thing. That's why he went to speak

to him. Given how high emotions were running, you could see how upset he

was about it. He's handled that situation very well. Just to see how

the mistake might have been made, when we look back at the foul, you

could see the distance Andre Marriner is from it. Well, if he's

too far away, that's the fault of the official. You can see the

linesman is blocked by John Terry. That's his fault, he shouldn't be.

More to the point, I mean, Chris, how bad is this tackle? How blatant

as it have to be? He's kicked through the back of him. It's

ridiculous, it's not one, it's two fouls and there's no excuse for

that. It cost Chelsea the match. It will be in the papers tomorrow, that

Diego Costa needs more protection. Whether that's the case or not, you

thought he was back to his best? I think so, and I think it's a

worrying time for the defenders in the league. He's a real handful.

Today, him and Eden Hazard have really hit their straps again. They

tried to rush him up, but he does not mind that side of the game, for

me. His movement, his confidence, his ability to bring team-mates into

the game. And he was sharp. This was a superb finish, he just caressed it

into the corner. He was a focal point and he just went from strength

to strength and he really seems back to his best. A focal point that

moved or allowed others to play off him? He was showing for the ball.

And we did not really see this so much last season - his ability to

get his team up the pitch. And this was absolutely brilliant, for me.

Great agility to get up and a stunning finish. Should have had a

hat-trick on the day. High foot, given we saw Cameron Jerome have a

goal ruled out last season? How can we rule that out, don't be

ridiculous?! I'm asking the question! I wasn't suggesting one

way or another! He missed that one at the end, but they did have a lot

of chances, Chelsea. Moving on, on social media, Chelsea fans saying

that Amat was lucky to stay on the pitch. Meanwhile, Swansea fans

saying Diego Costa should have had a second yellow card for this. When we

look at the replay in a minute, you see his left knee, and the right

knee of Fabianski, they collide. He is within his rights to go down?

Well within his rights. I have a bit of a joke with it. But I don't think

it was a dive. There was contact. The referee had a shocker! Are those

two things linked? They are. Let's go to Swansea, who had five at the

back and a kind of diamond formation in midfield to start with... They

were poor today. They set up with, whether it was a three or five, they

had problems. You can see the diamond already in the midfield.

This ball comes into the midfield and they win it back. This is the

problem now - once they win it back, all their players are there, they've

got no width, no pace up front, so what they try to do is to pass their

way out. This means that Chelsea get on the front foot, Kante does what

he does best and mix it, and that sets the tone. Chelsea now think, we

can get at these. This is a separate incident, but it tells you that

you've got players imposition, and at this point, he's not in his

normal right back position, up against the touchline. That would

have been 2-0. He had to make a change and it was Neil Taylor who

was the fall guy. Neil Taylor says to him, why not wait till half-time?

He says that in front of everyone. And Francesco Guidolin apologise

afterwards, which you don't think the manager should do? No, he's

entitled to make a change, Neil Taylor, just get over it.

When I was a kid I never got the experience to see Man City go 2-0 up

at Old Trafford, a joy to watch today with my son. The first half

was finger biting. My son's first Derby, not the result I was after

but as I said their bubble you have to take the rough with this move in

football, we've lost this one, but we will be back. -- with football.

You know you talk about the influence of coaches, eight of that

starting XI were at Manchester City last city and some of them maligned

players. It might be to Mendes or Kolarov. Maybe Sterling. Players

criticise last season are absolutely flying. Does it show the influence

of the coach? Definitely. I think that's what you're asking from your

coaches, it's not just about going out there on buying the best

players, it is working with what you've got. He's got some top

players. What he's done with these two in particular, Silva and De

Bruyne, dropping them a bit deeper. They are just controlling games and

both technically very gifted. They seem to have hit it off as a

partnership already, the way they work. This game, it was a bit of a

lesson for Man United. That first 40 minutes they are absolutely

dominated. They did. They were so impressive. A lot of it through the

groin and David Silva running the game and dictating the tempo. They

were slick all over the pitch, they knew each other's jobs and they

moved the ball quickly and United couldn't cope. De Bruyne and Silva

were sensational. Playing a little bit deeper. Having said all this,

Man United conceded their first goal of a long punt and they should have

dealt with that. Silva winning the header and winning tackles, they

outfought them, they were physically better as well. We haven't really

seen this from Silva and De Bruyne under Pellegrini. This is part of

the game Guardiola has really got them going out. And a lack of

mobility in the midfield. David Silva, low centre of gravity, De

Bruyne's energy, Fernandinho as well, low centre of gravity. Pogba

and Halane were chasing shadows. Bravo, we have been having an

argument about him in the office all day. He was criticised on last

night's Match of the Day. When Guardiola talks about how he was

amazing yesterday, you'd be looking at... Not the incidents he has been

criticised for by the positive side of it and why Guardiola might have

said that. A lot of this might look simple outfield players but for

goalkeepers it's not. The whole theory on it is you are playing with

the 11 footballers, rather than ten and a goalkeeper. In essence it

allows your back four to play a lot higher up the pitch and then you

have your sweeper. It is very simple, but look at the position of

John Stones and Otamendi. He wants the ball. He's clapping, are we

really going to get excited about that? These are simple passes he

should make. Here is the bottom line, all this... I don't think

that's the most difficult pass. It's the risk element. I understand why

he has been brought in and he's obviously good with his feet and

comfortable with his feet. You're looking at as an outfield player.

I'm not, I'm looking at it subjectively. He dropped a cross
