coming at you. Hazard has given Chelsea the lead

once and twice. Alonso. Can anybody stop Antonio Conte's Chelsea?

Lingard's gone for goal and what a goal.

Chelsea's name isn't on the trophy yet, but a win

against Manchester United would take them close.

Highlights of West Brom-v-Liverpool and Saturday's goals.

Every week just a little bit nearer to the prize. Every speak Spurs keep

the pressure on. Again the gap is narrowed to four points before

Chelsea play. Finally the gaps to get through a United line-up might

be more difficult. Jose Mourinho has made four changes. Ibrahimovic is

among those shifted out to the sub's bench. In Chelsea's net a first

Premier League appearance all season for Begovic with Courtois ruled out.

A late change had to be made with Marcus Alonso pulling out after the

warm up. Zouma starts instead. Seven games to go, they would have to fail

to win three of those games for Spurs to have any chance of pipping

them. David Luiz apologises for switching off for a second. Rashford

entitled to shoot, just not like that.

De Gea straight out nearly to Kante. Matic is on to it. Chelsea claim

handball. Herrera again with the through ball and Rashford with the

chance and it is taken brilliantly. That is some noise. That is some

finish. What a pass from her Rennes ra. It hit his hand to set up the

move. The referee deemed it did hit the hand, accidental was his

verdict. He got on with threading the ball through the eye of a need

toll Rashford. -- needle to Rashford. United haven't been known

for scoring early in Premier League games this season. There is one

inside seven minutes. Manchester United lead, but it is a goal laced

with a touch of controversy. It would be interesting to know Antonio

Conte's thoughts at this moment. Manchester United are not happy with

a coming together between Diego Costa and Bailly. Diego Costa would

be best advised to walk away from all this.

Bobby Madley has been made aware of something that he didn't see at the

time. He can't have done. It is just a shove. He collides with the post a

bit. Not something Costa needs to do. But the uproar over that was a

bit OTT. Young across goal and across everybody. United, thanks to

their eager front two, hitting Chelsea on the break every time they

can. Kante brings Young down. Diego

Costa's gone five games without a goal, having scored in all of the

previous three. Zouma gets up above Fellaini and Cahill. Pedro's touch

was important. Bobby Madley has seen an infringement and it is a free

kick for Chelsea. Caused more of a problem for Begovic than it might

have done that ball from Rashford. It has been impressive now Rashford

and Lingard have played. They're buzzing around the Chelsea players -

so much energy. That is Kante on Pogba. An interview

with Paul Pogba this week had his speaking about Kante and you got a

feeling there was a desire on his part to try and look the better

player today. Antonio Conte knows about him, having had him at

Juventus before he left to take charge of the Italian national team.

Diego Costa is going to get a yellow card. He is not even going to look

at Bobby Madley to get it. He knew exactly what he was doing. He just

came in late. Alonso forced to watch, having been nameped in the

Chelsea line-up and looking like he is a big miss.

Free kick against Diego Costa. Marcus Rojo is down, as is the

Chelsea striker, the verdict has gone with jumping in. There was a

little push there. Did Diego Costa there dig his arm in. Rojo

definitely had a go back. As he lands, watch that left elbow. Rojo

felt that was intentional. Bobby Madley was looking by the time Rojo

re-Talliated. -- retaliated. There seems to be trouble brewing with

Diego Costa today. And he is in the book.

That has come off Cahill and gone just over the bar. Cahill has a few

words with Victor Moses after that. Rashford looking dangerous with

Lingard. Antonio Conte not as animated as usual on the touchline.

Not a lot of arm-waving. Subdued - like his team.

A boot was raised high by Cahill. He was claiming handball against

Fellaini. But he had his leg up at a 90 degree angle and it was always

going to be a free kick for that. Young to Herrera who was deflected

and it's in! Manchester United 2, Chelsea 0. Herrera's first Premier

League goal this season is a massive one. Great work by Ashley Young. A

mistake by Kante. Young took it up. Took it on. Herrera took a chance

and that is what happens when you buy a ticket. He got just the

deflection he needed. Luiz was moving the other way. A big chance

for Jose Mourinho to beat his old team today. They are in charge,

United. Chelsea's grip on the Premier League title looks

significantly looser now. Where are they going to find two goals from in

this half, the way the game's been played so far? Gary Cahill had

switched off there. As the ball was cleared, he was arguing with Lingard

and getting him back to his feet. Manchester United are improved their

home performance today massively and you have to give credit to their

manager. No other opposing in the boss in the league knows Chelsea as

well as Jose Mourinho and it has been a tactical master class from

him so far. Lingard! Chelsea wide-open,

crumbling, Manchester United absolutely flying. Two against five

there. And the two got the chance to make it 3-0. There's a who's who.

Silvestre, Townsend, Nevill, Le Saux, earl. Into the side of the

net. That thundered toward Begovic's goal. He is mindful now he has

almost got to do it all by himself, with Lingard having been

substituted. Rashford - one against four in the

Chelsea half. Rashford takes on Luiz and tries to wrestle him out of the

way. Rashford keeps going! And draws a save from Begovic. Showing real

determination. Maybe a foul on Luiz, but it wasn't given as such. I think

it was squeezing in, but for Begovic getting down quickly. Gareth

Southgate must be delighted with what he has seen from Rashford

today. Lingard too before he was subbed.

Fabregas has on in on Carrick. That is the worst tackle we have seen in

the game. He was horribly late. A yellow card for Fabregas. He was

never going to win the race for the ball. I think yellow is about right.

Jose Mourinho has already started his ritual of shaking hands with his

back room staff for a job well done. It is nearly done now.

Listen to those cheers! For a Manchester United win that will be

cheered just as loudly by Tottenham. A three-point gain for them on

Chelsea this weekend. Only four between the teams now and United

have given notice that their top four hopes are far from over yet.

Rashford a live wire in attack. What difference will it make? It might

mean Chelsea have to wait a week or so longer to celebrate the title.

What does it mean to Jose Mourinho? Everything. It was clear you had a

plan, did that plan work perfectly? I think so. And I think it did also,

at Stamford Bridge in the cup. Because it was the same plan. With

eleven players was working. Very difficult for them. Very fast and

creative players. The best contact team in the country. We controlled

them. We controlled them very well. Man United showed more decide than

us and motivation and ambition. In this game. It is simple. Will you

ask the players where they could not find the same desire? The fault is

mine because in that situation, they were not able to have the right

concentration to win this game. Not the players. The fault is the coach.

I am not surprised to see Eden Hazard standing nearby. You were not

far from him all day? When we did not have the ball I tried to be with

him and I tried to receive the ball to show myself and I made the first

pass and scored the goal. I think he is a top player, the best so far

this season and we will have to be very careful with him. My job today

without the ball was to be with him and do not let him receive the ball

comfortably and that worked. I did not play him against Sunderland

because I wanted him totally focused on this job because it is a very

difficult job. He did that well. We just have to do the job, we have

that four point advantage, we're still in a good position and we have

to concentrate and if we pick up the points we need and win the games, it

does not matter what Spurs do. It is not normal for Chelsea this season

to win the title, because we started as the underdog and you must

understand this, to find it right, the right solution to reach the

target. It will not be easy. To both Jermaine Jenas and Danny, where they

dominant today? And was more surprised by their lack of intensity

and ability to deal with the pressure that Man United and Jose

Mourinho with his tactics put them under. And also, their failure to

adapt, even when they figured out that Eden Hazard was getting man

marked and it was a different situation that Man United had lined

up, they did not seem to change and I suppose that is what surprised me

more. Man United were brilliant. Were you surprised? I was, it was

very brave of Mourinho to go with the same tactics at Stamford Bridge

when they lost the game but I would agree, it was working in the first

game and he did not see any reason to do it differently, instead of

Jones it was tempted, he was magnificent. Before he talks us

through this plan, having dealt with Mourinho, did you think it was

important for him personally that there was a tactical masterclass

that came off? He has built his reputation on that bespoke

performance to win that game, it reminded me in some aspects of the

game against Liverpool in April 2014, that fell between two European

ties and he went to the team trying to win the league and picked them

apart and exploited their vulnerabilities. How did he do that?

Well... The spare man for man United was at the back, they went two

against one with Bailly and Rojo. Herrera, he followed him, at the

back you had that and Darmian followed Pedro everywhere, you had

Pogba in the middle along with Fellaini and Young and Valencia

against the wingbacks and two players against three rather than

one. Which was Jesse Lingard and Rashford, causing problems. The

discipline of Herrera, when you burn mark someone, you cannot switch off,

if he scores you have not done your job and what I liked is he followed

his runs, matching him yard free around but he contributed when they

were in possession of the ball and that is very difficult. If you

watch... Hazard thinks, I have to lose him. He is running behind, ends

up on the right wing, Herrera gives him that little trip. It doesn't

matter while, you must nullify the best player and he was Chelsea's

best from a creative point of view. Hazard is one of the best I have

seen taking the ball in tight situations and he did not get the

chance to manipulate the game in any way and look at that pass. We were

talking about him in the first-half, defensively, and he produces that.

He probably got away with handball. Superb. As good a pass as you will

see at this time, Rashford getting his one on one. That gives them

confidence to continue with tactics and play with more expression and it

was as good a performance tactically as I have seen. Hazard, could he

have done more to lose? A little bit. It is hard to be critical when

Herrera play so well but Eden Hazard has such high standards that we did

expect more, maybe it is a bad day. He is allowed that. And that was

handball? It was. Hazard could have done more. Clearly, it hits the hand

of Herrera, he has lifted that for the reason, he was to get that over

the foot of Herrera, then it hits his arm, it is not going in the line

of direction where you want, they got done a little bit, Chelsea, but

they were a long way from goal. Mourinho, that is most impressive

performance against another top seven rival. I think so and that is

important for him, afterwards he said he was detailed in his

post-match press conference about how he thought he had done at and

there are always messages in the things he says. He likes the

sponsor. Nothing without a reason. Everything is for a reason. He said

that when they have the ball, it is more difficult, which is quite

something to say about the team, the team at the top of the league are

counterattacking mainly and there are lots of little things he pointed

out and I thought he was making a point that they are not quite the

side everyone thinks. Going back to some of United was my players,

Ibrahimovic has been invaluable this season and they had a different, the

attacking focus was different with Rashford and Lingard. Mourinho got

that tactically brilliant, I think even going two at the top against

the Chelsea back three, that caused huge problems, they were always

linked together mostly, energy and pace, whether closing down or

running behind, Rashford knows exactly where Lingard is, feeding

off each other nicely, always in the box, unfortunate not to get onto the

end of that one and when one of them had bothered, that is the option,

always around in to help out. Rashford was the standard, whenever

faced in those situations, you could see the fear in the Chelsea

defenders, they did not want that, but how many players he has dragged

across for that opportunity from Ashley Young, Chelsea playing a very

high line against a rapid, dangerous centre forward. He does not want to

run towards his own goal like that, great finish. I think a lot of

credit has to go to Lingard, as were great, his runs, that did help

Rashford, all the way across, Cahill wants to get close but this one from

Lingard, textbook centre forward play, it just keeps Cahill back and

you have that linkup play again, and at this point, he has gone, he is

just too quick. Making Chelsea run back towards their own goal and

nearly causing Gary Cahill to score an own goal. Brilliant display.

Palace played two up when they beat them as well, it causes them

different problems if you have place. We can look at the back pages

that will appear tomorrow morning. Man marking masterclass. The

Telegraph, the title race blown wide open. Antonio Conte, it is all my

fault. He said in a press conference that Tottenham is the best team, in

great form, feeling the opportunity to write history. What is he doing?

Maybe take pressure off his own players and it has been a strange

season for him, once they went on the run after the Arsenal defeat,

this is the first time really, along with the Palace to fit, but

newspapers had to face difficult questions, it has been one afternoon

of praise after the next, it is new territory and this is interesting to

see his reaction, during the Euros he was aggressive on the front foot

of any criticism and this time he is different, he brings things more

onto himself and is protecting his players. It is just one defeat and

the run-in is favourable, arguably the trip to Goodison is the most

difficult left? Let us give Tottenham fans some hope! But that

run-in is much more favourable towards Chelsea, I would be amazed

if they blew it. I would agree. Champions League-chasing Liverpool

with a tough-looking 1981. Magnificent goal by Cyrille

Regis! Cyrille Regis, Bryan Robson and Remi Moses via West Brom to

fourth place in division one. Moses! The 2017 vintage are aiming

to match the club's best top flight finish since then,

helped by a settled side, the most goals from corners

and the most headed goals. Meanwhile, an unsettled

Liverpool continue to Mane is out for the season, Lallana

and Henderson have been missed, while Coutinho and Firmino rose

from the bench to get 14 goals from corners have helped

West Brom to top their mini league but suddenly financial giants but

they are more rounded team, no questioning the remarkable job done

by Tony Pulis. One clean sheet in 13 is not the defence and security he

needed to underpin Liverpool's quest for the top four finish. There will

be questions if they fail. The Baggies without a win in three. They

bring in Robson-Kanu. Coutinho is restored to the starting line-up

along with Firmino. Lucas is also back. Whitburn dropping out. Still

without Henderson, Alanna and Manet. The hawthorns will show its support

for the grieving star bridge family who had a recent double tragedy

which cost the lives of a mother and son and has left the father shocked

and saddened. APPLAUSE

Liverpool don't particularly have a great record year. They haven't kept

a clean sheet in seven games. Phillips with the long throw-in,

Dawson is there. Chadli, on the edge of the box. There was contact? The

referee says no. Robson-Kanu goes to ground. He could not stretch. West

Brom fans singing the name of Tony Pulis, unbeaten in eight home

Premier League games against Liverpool as a manager. That has

gone away and here as Coutinho. Firmino got in his way! Just wide.

Giving away by Yacob. A real development in the Premier League in

the last three or four years, pouncing on the counter from

mistakes like that. He nearly made West Brom pay. They are missing huge

names. Alanna had a wonderful campaign, Henderson was influential,

Mane of course was the gamebreaker. Pressure on Dawson from Coutinho.

Excessive force. In that challenge. He said he played the ball. Their

first feeling was he did get the ball. But it was the manner in which

he won that ball that displeased the referee. I didn't see much in that.

Dawson. That was a big mess! Grujic, That was just edged away

from him by Firmino. That is why he missed. You can see it was more

about Firmino's touch that cleared it than Chadli. Coutinho. That is

their best move so far. Lovely ball to him. Hit it first time. Wide it

went. Still Sturridge sits on the bench for Liverpool. Origi preferred

up front. I can't see that is an ideal situation for Sturridge and I

can't imagine it will continue for much longer.

Coutinho. That time it's over. But we have seen so many spectacular

goals from him from that position. Good work by Firmino. Coutinho

already in double figures this season. Two passionate men, but they

go about their business in a dercht style. -- different style.

Robson-Kanu couldn't find the net. Livermore the best passer of the

ball so far. No end product. Easy for the goalkeeper.

Brunt has pulled him back and that could be a yellow card. It will be a

caution. The referee's being booed, but really he has got no option. A

pulling offence. Milner, in it comes, header on to

the far post, it is 1-0 to Liverpool right on half-time. Firmino got it.

West Brom so adept at scoring from set pieces, have conceded from a set

piece. The first header was a good one across the box and Firmino

stealing in. Scored at Stoke last week. Gets another today. Liverpool

ahead. Important goal for Liverpool that.

Never looked likely there. How wide was it? Let's see from this angle.

Oh, well wide! Four of West Brom's back five are in their 30s. The

defence will need rejuvenating if they're to maintain their

improvement. McAuley was already a professional before Origi was born!

Milner, bags of space, over it went. Big chance for Liverpool to wrap it

up. Good move by Liverpool. Well held up there. They moved the ball

on quickly. Firmino chipped to the far post and over it went. Dropping

on to the right boot. Awkward height for him to hit it and keep it down.

He knows how tight this one is. Lucas saw the run of Firmino. Origi

is offside. Oh, Firmino was offside. The brightest smile in the Premier

League. He is on, he is on, he is on, he is on, he's off! Good

decision. He certainly has brought the best

out of a tiny squad. Rondon turned Matip and he is off and running. A

chance for West Brom. Thwarted by Mignolet. Their first really big

chance of game. Rondon did brilliantly. Played Phillips in with

a well-timed pass. Mignolet spread himself and saved in a big moment.

Might not have many more chances. We are in stoppage time now. A

significant victory this would be for Liverpool.

West Brom forcing the corner. They have come strongly at Liverpool in

the last 10 minutes or so. Up comes Ben Foster. Is anything picking him

up? I don't think they are. A good ball back to McLean. The keeper's

well down field. Moreno goes for goal. It is well wide. He had

Sturridge to his left. He had Firmino to his right and he had

Foster stranded way up the field. McLean lost this here. Took a chance

and Moreno should have played that to Sturridge and didn't. West Brom

can get a free kick in the final third and get a quality ball in,

they can yet rescue this game. Mignolet with a big punch away.

Foster is up there again. Tosster's still Tosster -- Foster's still in

the box. Foster goes across like a full-back. Look at this. Ben Foster

slides in like a full-back and still they go on. Away to Sturridge. And

Brunt took a chance. Great late theatre. But it's over now! And a

massive three points for Liverpool. You can see how big it is. Really

important victory for Liverpool. Good win for Jurgen Klopp. It was a

big win against a big team, a tall team and how I thought in a good

game, we played well. The first half was a little too static. But we

needed to adapt. You defended well. We worked hard and in the week and

it's nice when you work on something during the week and it pays off and

we worked on our set piece as well. Chadli's had a great chance which he

should score. Al should score. Philips should score. None of them

from set plays. You worked on set piece chances, how important is

people recognise you for what you are? I don't care! I know what I'm

doing. And the club knows what I'm doing and the people around the club

know. People want to see it differently, perception is a

wonderful thing that some of the times isn't correct. Today we only

could get 66 points. It peoples perfect. Next week is the best we

try to get 69. If we do what we have to do, yeah, then we will be...

Where we want to be. Do you care what I think after all these years?

Of course I do, sweetie! Rush goalie at the end was entertaining, the

rest was a battle. It was ant classic, the way Tony Pulis had his

team set up, made it difficult. But you don't want to make life easy for

Liverpool. The way Liverpool like to play between the lines, at times it

a back six. But Liverpool got the job done. Probably in a way they

didn't expect. If I was to look back over the season, I think pundits

have picked out Coutinho, Lallana and Mane to analyse with Liverpool.

Not that Firmino goes under the radar, but maybe he doesn't get the

credit he deserves. For me, in the last couple weeks he has stepped up

to the plate. What I like about him, he has a fantastic work ethic. But

he loves running in behind. Helps not the quickest -- he is not the

quickest in the world, but you don't have to be to know where the space

is. His end product is good. He is very calm in the final third. A lot

of people would expect that from a forward player for Liverpool. But it

is easier said than done. Today he played in a different role on the

right. He wanders all over and he is hard to pick up. That is great

anticipation. He has got that awareness and ability with the

others up there to rotate his position. He is always finding

space. Doesn't get it this time. Here, part of his game, what I

didn't think he had, his passing was exceptional today. And speaking to

people who go to more games than me at Liverpool, this is unluckily, he

is a yard offside, they have been impressed, because when he first

came, I wasn't convinced. This move - confidence, flick around the

outside, where's the space, can I pick somebody out, a scoop to the

back and Milner should make the game comfortable. He has impressed me in

the last few months. If I asked you what is his position, would you be

able to give one or, or does that even matter? No, doesn't matter. I

don't think you need to be nailed down to one position now. I think

it's going to benefit him playing week in week out, the fact he can

play all over the front. If I was to go through the analysis of Liverpool

this year, as well as players that get praised, where Liverpool have

been criticised is either goalkeeper or how they have defended. The game

was right in the balance. Liverpool was not exactly dominating the game.

West Brom were defending very well. But it is these moments here where

they, as James Milner said, Firmino gets a touch on that, Pulis said

Chadli should put it away. But look how quick they get out of the box.

That is something they wanted to work on, make it difficult for West

Brom to get that second phase. Matip kept an eye on his striker. A simple

clearance, but just job well done in a game where it was important nay

got their o' e-- they got their three points and when West Brom got

through, it wasn't all set piece, Mignolet stood tall and for a keeper

who got criticised, that is two games where he has made huge saves.

Six points you're talking. He has bounced back. Are they the strongest

central defence, with Matip and Lovren? I think so. It doesn't half

make a difference when they play regularly. The fact that James

Milner said they have been working on it all week means they know they

have that problem. I still expect Liverpool to try and strengthen in

that area. West Brom are on a wobble, only four points from the

last 21 available and famed to -- famed to score in -- failed to score

in four. Tony Pulis said it is as good as it gets for them. How could

they go further? The problem that all managers have now and owners is

Leicester have rewritten the book on what is possible. If you look at the

teams above them, they're clubs with serious aspirations to been

Champions League sides. They're top of the mini-division they're in. I

think Pulis has been criticised, when his teams hit 40 points, they

tend to struggle after that. The new owners of the club have faith in

him. There is every chance that he will get an extension to his

contract in the summer. It people like he has won the fans over. He

has said the style of football he accused of playing is because he

works with the resources he has and with the perhaps a bigger budget he

could do something different. He was right, their best chances didn't

come from set pieces, they created them in open play. There have been

games where they have scored a good number of goals and played good

football. He more than deserves a new contract. Some of criticism he

gets is unfair. Silva with a free herd. Kompany

scores. -- free header. Manchester City's captain heads them in front

and the frustration of his season comes coarsing out in his

celebration. Southampton 0, Manchester City 1 and there could

barely be a more popular scorer for the visitors than one Vincent

Kompany. De Bruyne's away. Sane is to his

left. Here he is. Brilliant, brilliant breakaway goal. De Bruyne

started it. And then set up Sane to finish it. Counterattacks are rarely

quicker or more deadly than that. Never is. De Bruyne. Aguero! 3-0.

Scoring made simple. Manchester City get the third. Quite harsh on

Southampton, they played their part, but just so sharp, Man City.

Slept on by Valencia. What a chance! Mark Clattenburg says no, another

from the captain. Scruffy goal but well over the line. Have done to!

Hendrix, Schneiderlin is after him. It runs agonisingly away. Ridiculous

challenge from Joel Robles. That is going away. Absolutely stupid from

the goalkeeper. Sam Vokes will take the penalty. To quickly draw them

level, and he can. Well taken by the Welsh international. Joey Barton,

Valencia, here is Lukaku. Mirallas for stride. Even he cannot shoot

from there. That was deflected and it is in! Everton have the

laid-back. Mirallas to Berkeley, who wriggled himself into a shooting

position. That has gone down as an own goal. Lukaku. And Lukaku

finishes as he does! He had the power and the boys. And he might

just have wrapped things up for Everton. 3-1. To the near post.

Dembele! Spurs ahead, it has been coming since kick-off. Moussa

gears. Fairly tight angle. Dele Alli. Kane, great strength. He will

make it three. Right at the start of the second half. Strength and

persistence. Time and space to crack that way. Spurs have three and three

points better. To the gap to Chelsea at the top, that Rugby four. That

was good vision. Davis joining in. He gets it in! The icing on the

kick! Than two minutes into stoppage time, it has been a long wait for

him, the goal in the Premier League from free play. Thrilling

performance. Bournemouth are very well beaten side from the very start

through to the very end. The gap is down to four, the remaining fixtures

for Spurs, and more difficult run-in than Chelsea, will last your help?

Definitely. Mentally, Radzi Pochettino is already getting signs

he is happier with the team and the way they are handling the situation.

And they are chasing. That helps. Last year the Leicester situation...

Who they are chasing? You're expecting Chelsea to win. Different

scenario, last year that Leicester would stumble and Spurs should catch

them. That along with the fact that they were playing Sunday and

Leicester on Saturday, that is what led to Spurs ultimate downfall.

Looking at them right now, they are the best in the league. Unbelievable

form. Those games coming up are very tough. What did you look for one

run-in as a manager? -- on the run in. While we were playing, to be

honest! Calmness, you don't want panic, you might have an unlucky

day. Did you want mind games? I wasn't really bothered by that

stuff, I just focused on myself but the manager who is normally very

calm and when you play, if you manage on the touchline and go mad,

at every decision, I think that brings the panic on, it did for me.

Then he is calm and relaxed, OK, the team generally do better, we did. It

is a different competition, and it is important to get to the FA Cup

Final but could the semifinal have a bearing on the title? Gas, it will

have an effect on the way Chelsea feel about themselves, if they are
