Hello, West Ham against Southampton is our main game this evening.

We'll also show you every goal from yesterday,

and shine a light on the football and the fans of Middlesbrough.

Kevin Kilbane and Robbie Savage will add their analysis.

Opinion is divided on West Ham's new home, so we turned

Wearing East London today to meet David, and Slaven. They wanted more

space and moved around to better postcode. The atmosphere is really

good, much better than anyone anticipated. They landed a bargain,

fitted with all the mod cons. They have seriously big plans. It's our

ambition to win the league. They also invested heavily, total outlay,

?43.1 million. From the outside it all looks promising. Dangerous

cross, put away by Antonio. However, there's been a few teething

problems. It's another defensive horror show for West Ham. We can't

defend like this. But their visitors today upped sticks some years ago

and they can tell them how short-term pain can eventually lead

to long-term gain. Guy Mowbray had been along to check out the new

place. It took Southampton until their

sixth game to get a first win at their new home 15 years ago, so by

that comparison West Ham's snags on the field have been overstated. This

move though does feel that it will take a little more getting used to.

Their team today shows two changes from last week at West Brom, both at

the back, with the injured Masuaku and James Collins replaced by fit

again Winston Reid and Arbeloa. It is a return to the Premier League

after seven years in Real Madrid. Clasie and Long. To the bench,

making way for Hojbjerg and Charlie Austin, four goals in his last three

games and to date with the incentive of upsetting a club that a year ago

shied away from signing him. West Ham desperate to end the run of

three successive defeats in the Premier League, whereas for

Southampton, the last week and the bit have looked very rosy. They've

won three games in a row, one league, one of Europa League, and

one in the EFL, all without conceding. Ogbonna looking for

Simone Zaza. He gets the shot away. Lovely bit of chest control from the

man on loan from Juventus. It was Van Dijk who came across to make

sure he had to shoot early and wide. Played in by Kouyate. Turned by

Bertram. Now Romeu. Not the best clearance by Fonte. Through the legs

of Romeu, onto it again and the toe poke goes wide. From the man who

scored five goals in his last four Premier League games, all scored

with his head. He made the last England squad, Sam Allardyce's

assistant Sally -- Sammy Lee is here to rule on his latest form.

There is a call for the Saints passing to be a bit more pacing,

like this. Tadic to Bertrand. Bertrand back to Austin. First

chance he's had of the game and he took it beautifully. Steven Davis,

Tadic, Bertrand always whereof were the striker's movement is. Austin

quick to point back at it. He knows why the credit is due. Still, what a

good finish it is. Austin has five goals this season. They've come in

his last four appearances. West Ham United nil, Southampton one.

Redmond, very nicely taken down. Blocked by Adrian. Southampton,

since taking the lead, have found a surge of confidence. They are the

stronger team in the game right now and it looks as though half-time

can't come soon enough for West Ham. Soares with a determined run from

right back. It's Cedric, into the side of the net. Pierre-Emile

Hojbjerg is hopping mad in the middle, he feels it should have been

centred rather than a direct shot for goal. You can sense the West Ham

nerves. The next goal in this game is so important. Cedric is on to

that, he's beaten Antonio. Pulled it back for Tadic. A super save by

Adrian. Redmond is up, but it's blocked. Adrian has just kept West

Ham in the contest. Great work by Tadic and Soares and they combined

twice. At the end it was a bit of a tentative finish from Tadic. Adrian

nevertheless was wrong-footed and had to throw his weight back the

other way to make the save. Steven Davis won't let him go. Back

towards Simone Zaza, who gets to it from Romeu, Romeu not happy. One

goes Feghouli. He wants Antonio to head that home. He's been doing that

so regularly, but that time with Forster coming out to get it, he

could only put it wide and it's a yellow card for Simone Zaza. That's

a blatant dive. West Ham are being more adventurous in this second

half. Never mind their defensive troubles, they need a goal now, they

need to take a chance two. Tadic sidesteps Adrian to give Southampton

a 2-0 lead. Tadic bags his first goal of the season. Lovely bit of

Saints passing. What a contrast there is there. A pained look on

Slaven Bilic's phase, pure elation for the Southampton fans. This is

where it started. Reid was getting in a bit of a model with Davis,

Kouyate did as well. Lovely pass from Austin and Tadic kept his cool.

Scored one, made one for Charlie Austin. They have conceded two goals

that in 13 of their last Premier League games, can they score at

least two in the rest of this is the big question now?

Here comes Southampton again. Redmond pulls back and it's just

over the top from Davis. Well, they are running riot now. West Ham are

finding themselves time and again hopelessly exposed. He has seen them

lose both their previous games in the Premier League this season. They

are well set today now. Payet can only touched the ball back

Southampton's way. It has come Steven Davis' way. What a good

challenge that is from Nordtveit, the saving tackle. Ogbonna thought

he had done enough with the clearance. Payet didn't do nearly

enough. Davis must have thought he was feeling the three points, the

second big chance he's had since 2-0. Slaven Bilic, who said that the

4-2 defeat at West Brom last Saturday, he said we have big

problems and they are getting even bigger here. Feghouli wants to find

Simone Zaza here. Going straight to Payet, bodies in his way. Payet

finds a way through and it hits Van Dijk. Was that hand ball, they are

screaming for it, West Ham. The referee can't have had a clear

enough view if it was. It comes off the shin of Van Dijk there. Incomes

Feghouli to smash it again. It is saved. Its Bertrand who goes, but

the arms away from the body and West Ham should be getting the chance to

get back into things with a penalty. If you can't see it, he can't give

it. Adrian could lift one out for Feghouli. At least Feghouli is

trying there, he's quite fortunate to get a free kick. West Ham have

taken it already. Steps past Van Dijk, tries to tee up payer. He

pulls it wide -- tees up payer. A cracking game now, West Ham giving

it everything to try to begin what would be an amazing comeback.

Forster shovels it, cleared off the line by Van Dijk. There's Noble.

Simone Zaza just wouldn't get the ball down to his feet, he couldn't.

The challenge on Redmond. Redmond has Shane Long to aim for here. Long

has Tadic up there with him. Tadic, stayed onside it seems. It's a

wonderful recovery challenge. Winston Reid got back at him.

Touched on for Hojbjerg and Adrian keeps the game just about alive.

Easy for Southampton to work the angles again and find the chance to

finish it all off. A little deflection on that. Slaven Bilic is

on one of those runs that ended -- every manager experiences from time

to time. After last season's achievement, surely he's not under

pressure. Southampton running away through to a third and they've done

it. James Ward-Prowse has slid this morning. West Ham look a sorry bunch

now. They'll feel that 3-0 with harsh. Southampton will say it's

entirely justified, with what we have done today. Nathan Redmond,

like so many in the changed Southampton strip, has been superb,

Davis as well. There's a bit of fortune in the way it affected to

Ward-Prowse. The substitute is there to make absolutely sure of all of

the points today. Three of them and three goals to cheer as well. West

Ham nil, Southampton three, at the London Stadium. Plenty have already

headed for home. More joining them now. David Sullivan will have plenty

to chew on. So we'll Slaven Bilic tonight. A fourth Premier League

defeat in a row for West Ham. We were not happy with the way we

attacked, when we had the ball. To be fair, we were a bit unlucky, I

think. I'm not talking about the whole game, I'm talking about the

first half of the game, we deserved to be up but it was like typical 0-0

game. In the second half we had to not chase the game like crazy, but

still you are one down in the game that you want to win and after the

second goal we took a risk which put us in the position that we had few

chances. It's very important to win this game against a team with such

confidence, very good second half, the players have many chances,

fantastic golf. What has changed? You have won for in a row. It's

normally because a new coach comes coming you have new good ideas and

you accept things. This is normal things, you know, you need to adapt.

Our way of playing is to defend together and attack together and I

think we have shown we have done that very good. Could you have done

any more today to get a missing from the game? Yes, when you lose you can

always do more. We play against a good team today but we need to work

a lot harder to get that bit of luck back on our side and you saw out

there today that they worked harder than others and they got a better

result. Is confidence one of your biggest concern is now? These runs

happen, don't they? We're not the first, we are not the last team,

that is in this situation. It's the same manager, 80% of the team is

like that. We are working hard on the training, analysing, talking,

having sessions, and it's good. As soon as the game comes we are good

until someone punches you in the face and then we have a problem.

We will come to West Ham but Southampton played some fantastic

football. They were excellent, particularly in the second half.

They started on the front foot but in the second half, the chances they

created were excellent. Tadic and Bertrand, excellent movement,

Redmond and Charlie Austin just played as a striker. Cedric getting

Paul Wood, they were the key players for the attacking element. You talk

about a third man runner. -- getting forward. Austin will hold it up and

you have the third man who will run off it into positioned beyond him

and they had that time and again. They played with pace and power and

energy that West Ham did not have. Look at the desire for people to get

forward. This was the substitute, Ward-Prowse. He came on with Shane

Long and they fit in the system and they were brilliant. They could have

beaten them six or seven. I'm not exaggerating. Adrian with the save.

Mark Noble said it himself, it could have been six. In the second half,

the whole defensive unit crumbled. You have to credit Southampton with

their movement and pace. And that everybody knew their role. Round

pegs and round holes and they perform as a team. What an excellent

signing van Dijk has been alongside Fonte. They were so good

defensively. Romeu in front of them in that little three, they provided

the platform that allowed Cedric and Bertrand to go forward. If you have

that defensive platform, your full-backs can go on. As Kevin said,

those three were brilliant. Look at the touch is from the

full-backs. It's a good job we have the arrow on! Otherwise we might not

be able to tell. In the first five minutes, this is them attacking. You

would think they were defending their goal but this is them

attacking. From the first minute, on the front foot, Bertrand and Soares.

This is a decent ball into the box. They exploited the weakness of

Antonio and Payet as wingers. And watch this for a pull-back to

Hojbjerg. This is the goal. What a run, it is like a winner. He had the

awareness to pick at Charlie Austin with a cool finish. Antonia at

scored so many headed goals and his body position is strong and

aggressive -- Antonio. Soares on the right committee wanted to get there

first and make runs. And he had Romeu sitting in front of the back

two which let him make runs. They had Tadic and Redmond more centrally

and it gives them even more space. And in those areas, they had the

awareness to pick out people. This was against Payet, one of the best

players in the league last season, one-on-one, brilliant defending,

they were magnificent. And as magnificent as they were and as

impressed as we were by then, the role of the pundit is to be

miserable about defending! Where there is a positive there is a

negative! Neutral like seeing great goals, pundits pick apart defences.

The three they conceded, we have talked about how good they were. We

mentioned Antonio, he is in a great position against Bertrand. He can

see the run and there is no communication and he runs off him.

The defensive unit, Ogbonna and Arbeloa, Arbeloa is your left-back,

he is playing as a centre-back. Nordtveit is looking for a party

going forward and none of them spot the danger. Winston Reid is in

midfield. He has stepped in but then you have to tighten up. It is a good

goal and well worked. They get back into position. Credit Charlie Austin

for the ball to him? You do. But Antonio has deceived the run of

Davis. -- has deceived. For everything we look at, great

attacking but West Ham have serious defensive problems because they were

all over the place today and could not cope. Bilic has a decision to

make. I played with Christophe Dugarry at Birmingham and when

things are going well, you can carry a play like that. Antonio is very

good going forward but I don't think he sees the danger quick enough.

Payet is magnificent but he does not do much defensively. He brought off

Lanzini at half-time. I don't think you can play with two or three

players, attacking players, when you are losing games. He has to think,

if he leaves at Payet or Lanzini, I don't think he can carry both. So

did you carry Christophe Dugarry? He was brilliant that season, he came

second in Player of the Year. Jo capped!

we have a tweet saying the Olympic Stadium is a horrible place to

watch. For the players, did you hate playing at Upton Park and would you

like to play at the London Stadium? Of course at a new stadium. I would

not say hate Upton Park but he felt intimidated, you could feel the

atmosphere and the pressure, particularly as a white man, you

would get abuse down the far side -- wide man. You could see how much

Southampton enjoyed it. You got abuse everywhere!

Middlesbrough are back in the Premier League this season

Their promotion in May brought some good news to a town depressed

by the closure of the Redcar steelworks a few months earlier.

We went to their home game with Spurs to see whether football

Middlesbrough is defined by iron and steel. It has shaped all parts of

our identity. The transporter Bridge seemed to proclaim that

Middlesbrough and all the site is dedicated to steal. Our iron and

still built in the world from the rails ways and the bridges. People

are really passionate about the history of the club and the town and

there is a tremendous heart in Middlesbrough. The company which

owns the Redcar steelworks has gone into liquidation and production was

suspended earlier this week at a cost of 1700 jobs.

Almost half the population of Middlesbrough at one point was

employed either directly or secondary with the steelworks and

ironworks. In the 70s you had about 300,000 people working in the steel

industry but by 2014 you are looking at less than 30,000, 10% of that.

The local press mobilised behind the save our steel campaign. Those

steelworkers and their families, they are at the gates, it is sad. We

are at Ayresome Park which was the ground that I first started watching

Middlesbrough as a kid. Hendry! Goodness me it has come alive!

Although it is not a long history, there have been similar obstacles

and times it has almost gone to the wall also we went bust in 86 and

Steve Gibson stepped in and saved it with a consortium. Bryan Robson was

brought in and we had a Robson revolution, a new stadium, we signed

junior and Ravanelli -- Joon Ennio -- Juninho. We then got relegated.

It is phenomenal to be back and that is why we are so determined not to

make this a one season wonder and try to reach for the stars. Premier

League football has brought a lot of smiles to a lot of people and it has

increased crowd and brought us back together again but it gives us an

enormous opportunity. We don't have do explain to a developer where we

are and what we are. It is that feel-good factor that is accentuated

by Premier League football, it makes a huge difference. Middlesbrough's

the top is not so bug at people outside the side talking about them

but winning this wood. For Spurs, success would be no best six-game

start to a season 51 years. Son takes it on and he beats Victor

Valdes! Son, swerving and dipping the shoulder. He works it back again

and he will shoot and he scored again! Spurs are nearly halfway to

winning the game. In Dave Gibson! Much better from Boro -- in came

Gibson. Middlesbrough 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur.

You talk about iron and steel, the incident -- impact of Steve Gibson.

It is always nice to see a Boro lad score, Ben Gibson. That was

encouraging and hopefully we can push on and get a point at least at

West Ham next Saturday. Ben Gibson is the nephew

of the Middlesbrough Chairman Steve Gibson,

for those who don't know. Thanks to everyone

of the rest of Saturday's action, The ball in towards Chris Smalling

with the header! And Manchester United lead Leicester City 1-0,

Smalling's first of the season. Rising high. Here is Mata. Looking

in the build-up and well worked and put away with some aplomb by Juan

Mata -- patience. Mixing it up and 3-0! Leicester City's players were

half asleep as it was played in and Rashford will not miss from there.

Pogba! It is four! Manchester United are suddenly scoring almost at will.

Paul Pogba getting his head on that and celebrating his first ever

Manchester United goal. Demarai Gray. With an excellent shot, what a

goal, a superb goal from the Leicester City substitute. It is his

first goal for Leicester and what a strike.

Well played by Coutinho. Lallana, 1-0 Liverpool. Brilliant work by

Milner and Coutinho and Lallana's finish was simple but true. Mane,

played in low, Coutinho, blocked on the line, appeals for handball and

given by the referee and it is a red card. Elmohamady makes his way to

the dugout. Assured. Anfield erupts from the second goal of the season

for Milner. A good ball, Lallana. Mane, 3-0. Ten minutes until

half-time and Liverpool are out of sight. That is an excellent finish

by Mane. Inswinging... A chance and a goal for Hull. Driven in by David

Meyler. It fell kindly but you have to finish it off. Coutinho. What a

magnificent strike from the Brazilian. What a goal by Philippe

Coutinho. My goodness. Penalty. Robertson thinks he was

wrong. Here it comes. Yes, he just about caught it. James Milner in

front of the Kop. Another emphatic finish, again Marshall went the

right way but it was struck so firmly by James Milner.

Ledley. That is a strange old ball and Defoe will get to it first and

score! Are horrible goal for Crystal Palace to concede but an absolute

delight for Defoe, he is always going to prosper from errors of that

magnitude. It is still alive with Watmore. And then turned in by

Defoe! And he may well have given David Moyes his first victory as

Sunderland boss. Crystal Palace had had a really good spell and Ledley,

deflection and in and now they are right back in it. And within seconds

of the delight, there is once again anxiety. He has done well, Fryers

and the delivery is not bad and that is the equaliser! McArthur has

pounced and Crystal Palace, who trailed 2-0, they might fancy all

three points now. Could this be the ultimate heartbreak for Sunderland?

It is! Christian Benteke has turned this game completely around and

Sunderland have been beaten in the final moments of the game.

Arnautovic is in the box, that was intended for him. It will drop for

Allen and Stoke City have the breakthrough. With his first Stoke

City goal, Albion's stubborn resistance is broken. Four minutes

of added time to come. Here's the corner, there's the equaliser.

Bonbon will claim it. -- Salomon Rondon will claim it. It looks as

though Tony Pulis will get something on his return to the potteries after

all. Ewan-macro we looked at Stoke and how they defended on last week's

Match of the Day 2 macro but how they deal with corners is not just

affecting them. Overall in the Premier League this season after six

games there are miles more chances being created from corners than

previous years, the average has always been about 150. We are up to

177 after round six of the Premier League. You're not going to use

Stoke as an example, you're going to look at it from Leicester point of

view it could have been several teams we pick. This is Leicester

City last season. They were very good from set pieces, only conceded

seven goals. Look how tight they are. Not letting the men get in on

them. Very aggressive on their defending. Look at Huth and in this

game they did get penalised, a penalty again. This was at the

Emirates, Huth against Giroud. He is nudging him and pulling him. It was

Morgan on Koscielny as well. They were getting away with this last

season. This is that Southampton, watch the ball, a great bawling,

Morgan hauled him and in the end they defended very well. They have a

good record for set pieces. They were the champions. Let's go to this

season now. Opening day. Opening day, Hull, I will roll it on, it's a

good save from Kasper Schmeichel but the follow-up is in the net, I want

to stop it here. Right, this here is the captain Wes Morgan. They had no

Huth in this game. That's Andy King. You're asking us to look at the gap

between King and his man and Morgan and his man. The new law has been

brought in, penalties will be punished if you are not looking at

your ball, if you are looking at your man, if you are grappling, all

over your opponent. What this has allowed Curtis Davies to do is get a

run on Wes Morgan, he gets a yard on him. He's the one that gets ahead,

it's a good save but the follow-up is on the back of the net. This is

Simpson. Again, I want my defender to be in this position. The ball and

grappling. Not grappling, get him off balance. You want with a

defender in control. Nudge him when the ball is in the air. None of that

happens. In the end, Smalling gets a free header and end up in the back

of the net. Mrs Pogba's goal. Again, just watch foods now -- Christian

Fuchs now. Morgan is out here. The referee is Mike Dean. Is probably

relevant because Mike Dean has given several decisions. Stoke, Man City,

so these players before the game, Mike Dean is the rest, he's given

penalties for holding, for grappling, so Christian Fuchs is

touch tight but last season I believe he would have got him round

him, because he knows who the referee is because of the war, I

don't thing you can do that. I think Leicester, this new law is hurting

Leicester. Therefore the new law has worked, hasn't it? Yes. From an

attacking point of view players are knowing you can't get hold of you

and it will take a cleverer sort of defender to stop the attack on. Am

not saying Leicester, in general have the defenders got lazy at

dealing with corners and they might have to go back and watch some old

tapes from the 90s. There could be an argument for that but it's always

been the way to defend corners and set pieces, ball, man, hold your

man, grab -- not grab his shirt but no where he is. It's a standard way

to do it. Grapple him out of the way. This is in the same point, this

is slightly different with Sunderland, because you played in

the David Moyes. Working with David Moyes, the corner he sets up here,

this is stereotypical, this is exactly how David Moyes, that's

Steven Pienaar, I can't get to Lee Cattermole but you just about see

him in the front, on the six yard box, in line with the near post. Man

for man across six yard box, exactly how it is coming you have Kone,

Kirchhoff, man for man that's exactly how he sets up his corner

with having a couple of players that are free that going that free role

to see different runners coming into the box. It's irrelevant how the

defendant, we look at the last one, but Sunderland do it OK. They get

away with it. There's enough nuisance value. There is, even on

the second one, you either the Saturday game, Cattermole is in a

good position but could have conceded a goal there. This is the

one I'd be concerned with. This comes down to game know-how from a

player I feel within this. Look at the position of the ball out wide, I

think of the midfielder running back into position you say we deal with

this as a corner, this is a corner. You don't need a man in a war here.

Pointless. What is done and what more doing in a wall? I don't know.

They've lined this up as a wide free kick. This is how David Moyes would

line up a free kick. Bodies across the six yard box or certainly

ideally you would want them probably five yards further forward at this

way, but that's because of the position of the ball, so you can't

necessarily do that. You have to take the position off the ball. If

you deal with that of a corner as we've already shown, you go man for

man. You are stopping the run is getting onto you. You are leaving

the best attacker of the ball, Christian Benteke, with a free run

into the box. Nobody is engaging. Someone tries to close a space

downed and it comes down to a lack of leadership, a lack of experience

within the back for throughout the team and you have an inexperienced

goalkeeper, Pickford. And later when fatigue affects concentration? I

think it affected but if you defend that is a corner and you do... You

are talking a matter of Agar. Two. If you deal with that as you have

dealt with corners in the past, that goal is preventable. You've allowed

Benteke an easy run. Poor play. New two grapple away to your heart's
