in the stands during their 2-2 draw Turkey have also been charged

in relation to crowd trouble at last night's

match against Spain. Here in the studio, I'm joined

by John Hartson and Danny Murphy. The macro John tries to declare he

was out in -- he was Icelandic! There was less attention on the

point against Portugal and more on Ronaldo's comments that they showed

a small mentality, is he right? No, not really. I think naturally, when

you play against a team as good as Portugal, with the likes of Nani and

Ronaldo, you will get as many men behind the ball as you can. This

scored a goal against the run of play, Bjarnason, a good goal and

movement in the Portuguese box caused confusion. When Gunnarsson

asked Ronaldo for his shirt, it might have been for his son. I think

it is arrogant. Just give him your shirt. Disrespectful. Ronaldo is one

of the best players in the world, he does not need to act like that, in

little disrespectful. What about hungrier? Austria with a dot courses

and yet Hungary dismantles them. -- Hungary. They were very good in both

areas of the pitch. Defensively organised, a good shape, and

offensively they put together good moves. They had nice balance, great

work ethic. And they thoroughly deserved the victory. A fantastic

game for them. One match has been played already today. After drawing

with Sweden in the opening game, the Republic of Ireland faced Belgium in

Group B and here is the best of the action.

Leaving that for Moussa Dembele LA. What a fantastic ball, rates chance

for Eden Hazzard. The first really big chance in the game.

against Romelu Lukaku, what a chance.

in the world have scored their first goal in the tournament and it is

from the big number nine. A well worked goal from Belgium.

Whip Tim. 2-0! -- it is whipped in. Nobody checks the run. A free

header. That is a poor goal for Ireland to concede. Belgium two,

Republic of Ireland zero. Axel Witsel with half an hour to go.

Maclean. He gets the better of that and it is towards Hazzard who avoids

that diving charge. Belgian threatening a third goal. Lukaku, it

must be three, it is! Lukaku's second of the game and there is no

coming back from this. 3-0, Belgium. Another poor island goal to concede.

Defeat for the Republic of Ireland leaving them bottom of Group E,

their best chance of qualification is to beat Italy and the hope they

go through as one of the best third placed teams. The Italians already

done through to the last 16 as group winners and Belgium join them if

they avoid defeat against Sweden. How would you describe it, was

island outclassed? Yes, they were totally outclassed.

The endeavour and commitment, they had it. I do not think Thibaut

Courtois had anything of any danger to save. So I think when you play

against a team, one of the top five teams in the world, it is very

difficult. They dominate possession. Ireland never got going. Towards the

end of the game when the game was over, they started to pass it around

a bit more. But over the piece, totally dominant, Belgium, they

deserved to win. They came up against a wounded animal and a team

that's needed a result. Give the Belgium manager some credit, the

changes he made helped Belgium. Kevin de Bruyne went into a central

position. Timberlake instead of the Laney looked better in that

formation -- Moussa Dembele LA. Very good side and I expect them to kick

on now. Romelu Lukaku got hammered after the game against Italy and

today he was the first Belgium to score two goals in one match at a

tournament since his manager who did it in France's 1998. Did they get

more out of him today? I thought he did a lot of good things in the

game. He worked hard and he started this and finished it himself.

You have to play to his trains. You have to get goals and behind and

into his feet, when he is rolling people. At times, but held the, and

another good finish by the way. At times, Belgium overplay. Get the

ball in, John has done that himself. You were telling a great story about

the Celtic boys. We were telling Lukaku to go and show, be the focal

point, be the target. If I knew that I had to do it, the midfield players

who I played with, I knew that I had to be there. I had to be a target

for them. Or he would get told off! In no uncertain terms! Some Belgium

players will think they can do it on their own and may be quite rightly

without Lukaku in that position? The fact they have not scored bundles of

goals in the qualifiers shows that they do dominate possession but they

do not have that cutting edge. It is all well and good having a lot of

good players, but you have to make chances and score goals. Get the

ball into him and get people around him and they cause teams real

problems. Back to today and this Hungary side seems to be benefiting

from a 10-year plan launched by the Hungarian Football Federation in

2011. The manifesto titled The Decade of Revival had a headline

goal of qualification for the Euros in Twenty20 so in that respect, they

have gone ahead of schedule. At one time, Hungarian football was feared

throughout the world. The golden team, the magnificent

Magyars, the mighty Magyars, the Magical Magyars. You know you are

doing something right when you have multiple complementary nicknames.

The Hungarian national team custody sensation in the 1950s. Even before

they turned up at Wembley in November 90 53.

-- the 53. I remember it was a Wednesday afternoon, early kick-off,

no floodlights but still 100,000 people packed into Wembley.

Now a chance. It is a goal! Hungary played 4-2-

four. Something we have not seen before. We were stunned. We saw a

system of play we had never seen before. And of these players lead

anything to buzz. They seemed to open up the defence. The defence

opens wide for them to come through it, simply fantastic. We did not

know about them, we did afterwards. They were men from Mars as far as we

were concerned. A lovely goal! 24 minutes, ten Courtois, England one.

-- Hungary one. In the times, they said that the players pushed the

ball back with the soles of their feet. And we went past them like a

fire engine going to the wrong fire. 4-2 at half-time and we thought

there was a revival on the way. These were the Magical Magyars as

they were known and they just got on with it. It is a goal! Against hands

as one of the most innovative games in English football history -- the

game stands. That was the moment there were no excuses, England were

clearly not as good as other teams. It absolutely torpedoed the

overconfidence and insularity of English football. That is the

whistle, it is all over, England three, Hungary six. After an

embarrassing England 7-1 in the return match in Budapest six months

later, Hungary were overwhelming favourites done into the 1954 World

Cup. They demolished West Germany 8-3 in the group stages before

meeting them again in the final itself. You can probably guess what

happens next. The six -- the surprise came six

minutes from the end when the World Cup went to Germany. The team had

peaked. The players went on to have glittering careers in Spain but the

national side never hit the dizzy heights again. Many teams have had

more success than Hungary on the international stage, but few can

claim the law and respect that the mighty Magyars continue to have the

this day. And following in their footsteps,

these are the modern-day Magyars. 40-year-old Kiraly, the most capped

player in Hungarian history and he is fed up of people asking about his

tracksuit bottoms. An injury to Attila Fiola means a defensive share

shuffle. West Bromwich and Fulham fans remember Zoltan Gera as an

attacking midfielder and he now protects the back four. The

creativity of the captain is a key part, Dzsudzsak putting in more

crosses against Austria. And despite ending an 18 month goal drought,

Szalai is dropped and he is replaced by the Watford striker, Priskin.

What is remarkable about Zoltan Gera, and he is a fantastic person,

he had a lot of problems as a child in a deprived area, mixed in with

alcohol and drugs and he found religion. It is well documented, it

he would never have made it as a foot or if he had not, it changed

his life. Spent many hours with him talking about it and he has a

fantastic character. Such a dedicated recessional. You need a

bit more than being dedicated, he was Man of the Match in the last

game and deservedly so. In this game he showed every aspect of his play.

He passes the ball well, he can play in this holding role. Two-footed as

well, sometimes he does not get enough credit for that. A good

technician, works hard at his game. This task, really clever. Getting

forward even from that deep position. He has got a great strike.

And he can tackle. This is a super tackle, I have seen him do a couple

worse than that! 37 years of age, and receptions, every aspect of

midfield play he has got full stop it was nice to hear John speak about

him earlier, he is a nice guy. Such a genuine guy, they do not make them

like him any more. A bit of everything, a real joker, always

played jokes on his team-mates. He has dropped back, he had a lot of

injuries as well. But he is also good in that position, he can play

the short passes, dropped his shoulder, he can strike the ball

well but up when I went to West Brom, I was told that Zoltan Gera

was on one wing and I had to play in between the 18-yard box. And Zoltan

Gera was fantastic. He can play wide, he could come back onto the

right foot, a really good footballer. He had a good teacher in

that role! You can understand frustrations about constant

questions about those tracksuit bottoms! It means that people rarely

talk about his goalkeeping and experience. He is older and his

career again when some of the Hungarian players were not even

born. He has been around for a long time. This is his best save, strong

hand. I think probably he will get more tested. I think when it is

raining it wears them down! He has been asked about it a lot and he

wears them because they are a good luck charm. He began wearing them

when he was younger to protect his knees on those hard surfaces in

Hungary. As for Iceland, a win would put them top of the group and see

them through to the second round. Confidence is high after the game

against Portugal. It was Independence Day yesterday in

Iceland and they're confident that they can give their 27,000

travelling fans another day to celebrate.

A chance for the cross to come in. Absolute bedlam amongst the

Icelandic supporters. It is just a privilege and an honour to have my

name on the goal. Bjarnason leaves with his name writ large in sporting

history. Against a big team, a team that has a chance of winning the

whole thing, it is with the great. It was a special moment for myself

and my family. They were all watching the game. And the rest of

them watched on telly that did not come over. Iceland has put in an

enormous shift. Christiano Ronaldo leaves with a wry smile. Iceland

leave with a point. Just the fans, and scoring the goal. It was

unbelievable the way they reacted. He has got his own opinion, I do not

hate him for it, but quite disappointed to hear that from a big

player like him. We're not thinking about it too much, we just focus on

the next game. And as a country we should be pleased. That is how

simple it is. We going to win but we're not going to attack for 90

minutes, with going to have to defend for long times. We are all

good friends and have been playing together since we played for the

under 15. We know each other really well. That is one of our strengths.

I do not think we are favourites in any of these games. We should be the

underdogs in this tournament. Everything that we do has never been

done before. We are making history. Iceland are unchanged for this match

against Hungary. The goalkeeper made eight saves, the most since Jo Hart

in the Euros in 2012. Let's concentrate on the defence.

They face 26 shots in the game against Poland. No side says that

many in the opening round of games. If you take a look at their heat

map, you can see where most of the action took place. Absolutely

incredible. Not taking away from what they achieved. They tried to

play for - 4-2. The white man does not getting the clear enough. -- the

white man. They get split, the centre-half comes out and does not

cover. If they play like this again they will not be so lucky again.

They were to open. They rode their luck too many times. This is a

better shape and a wonderful cross. The centre halves, too far apart, an

easy run for Ronaldo. But they showed great spirit and

determination, they do that again however and they will get done.

Their defensive ability is no fluke they did not concede in the first

three qualifiers in this campaign. So they have been properly drilled.

Absolutely. They will not get as much luck for the rest of the

tournament in my opinion. Portugal I thought were wasteful at times. They

needed the goalkeeper to make some good saves for the but they scored a

very good goal as well. Gunnarsson, Sigurdsson, Sigurdsson plays in the

Premier League Gunnarsson has experience of the Premier League

with Cardiff. But going forward, that is their strength. And

Sigurdsson against Portugal, he went through early on in the game.

Sigurdsson, and a lot of them as he said have come through together from

the under 15 team. That helps but I hope they get higher up the pitch.

Against Hungary they could cause them a couple of problems. Hungary

then against Iceland, we go live to the commentary team Robbie Savage in

1972 and would be a great achievement for a nation which has

been weighed down for years in footballing terms by its illustrious

small mentality stuff from Christiano Ronaldo, Iceland are

thinking big and thinking about the last 16 of this tournament. And a

win today might do it for them. The team is unchanged from the one which

played Portugal, no surprise there. They play in clubs from Wales,

Russia, Switzerland, England, France and Germany, but they are united in

the blue of Iceland. And they are the least populous country ever to

reach the European Championship finals. One great tweet in the

Portugal game, 0.05% their population behind the ball! The

referee is a Russian and he also took charge of the Romanian draw

with Switzerland. The Hungarian team selection not quite so

straightforward as that of Iceland. The German coach without his first

choice of Attila Fiola, he is injured. Loveridge also injured. --

Lovrencsics. Adam Szalai dropped despite ending

his goal drought. And Priskin now playing for Bratislava, he comes in.

A win would take Iceland to four points and a draw would did the same

for hungry. Would that enough for a team to go through if they finished

third in the group? Only once has a team not progressed having earned

four points and that was Norway in 1994. It is Iceland all in blue

against Hungary in the white. Iceland get the first half underway.

Kicking from left to right. Iceland got a fantastic point

against Portugal. Fantastic display and Hungary the surprise package. I

thought Austria would have a good tournament and for them to score two

goals and get a clean sheet, positive start. Big header from the

left-back position, Hungary. The referee has blown his whistle.

Iceland have a free kick. They are in many respects living the dream,

but this is not the time the letterhead go into the clouds and to

take your eye off the challenge in hand. Long free kick towards the

edge of the penalty area. Little late on. Behind for the goalkick.

Watching the Hungary in the warm up. But one macro is on the side and

Zoltan Stieber on the left and they were putting in crosses for Priskin.

Dzsudzsak put in more crosses in the campaign then any player in any

other nation so he is the talisman to get the ball into the box. This

is number eight for Hungary, Nagy. It looks like a more attacking

formation, the Hungarians, to the one they employed against Austria.

well picked out, and good run into the box and good defending from

Iceland. Kleinheisler looking to take over again. He impeded his own

Nagy. A lot of their days in these two squads. The pattern was set

game started. He has done well, being chased here by Bjarnason. No

that famous goal, the first goal in tournament football. Hungary has

started well here, Robbie. When the ball gets played up to the big

centre forward, he has to get hold of it, Sigthorsson, bring his

team-mates into play. They keep losing the ball and it keeps coming

back at them at every occasion. A mighty scrap which ends with Iceland

being awarded a goalkick. This was a tussle and a half. He did well

there, Skulason. A very good ball in. Very, very good defending. Yes,

he did well to get his head onto that. Cleared away I22 macro.

Budapest by the way building a new stadium in readiness for the next

European Championships -- by Juhasz. They will be one of the host

Championships. Ball in the wards Lang. It hits Bjarnason and it comes

back onto the head of Lang. The clearance, Bjarnason here. Skulason.

The first opportunity Iceland have the go forward, they had three men

in the box. Bjarnason on the back post, that is where he got the goal

from against Portugal. Not scared to get in there. Decent attack from

Iceland. I think Portugal is very slow-paced, and I think it kind of

suited Iceland in that opening match. Hungary, they are injecting a

lot more pace into fair play than the Portuguese did in their game. --

fair play. Kleinheisler scored one of the girls

in the play-off against Norway which got Hungary to these finals. --

goals. Arnason will take this free kick for Iceland. Five blue shirts

on the edge of the Hungarian penalty area. That is put behind for a

corner. By Lang. Looking again for Kolbeinn Sigthorsson. Defended well,

important from set pieces. So many goals get scored from set pieces.

Get a good delivery, at your first corner. Gylfi Sigurdsson to take

this. Whipped him dangerously. Those in blue shirts left sucking their

cheeks because they were very close to getting a contract, almost onto

Gylfi Sigurdsson's corner. Gabor Kiraly under pressure. Great ball

into the box. Gunnarsson has a huge throw. Here it comes. Great pace on

keep on target. He has the power those neck muscles and keep the ball

well. Nice pace and nice attacking intent. The rewards are so high, why

excellent control from an awkward ball dropping over his shoulder.

defending from Arnason on the back post. Big, strong physical presence

and he stuck to his task well, Arnason. 4-4- two, Iceland. You do

not see that very often in this day and age. They have got a good shape.

The two banks of four stay close together. A throw for Hungary.

Safely back to Halldorsson, who had tricky moments in the Portuguese

match. But not as many as you would have expected, you would have to

say. Gera coped well with that. Played neatly back into Zoltan

Stieber. Halldorsson making it his with Arnason threatening to get in

his way. Good linkup play down the left side. Only two men in the box,

Hungary. The bull catch for the goalkeeper. It is an astonishing

stadium. That's remarkable. It is my first time here and the roof takes

your breath away. Johann Gudmundsson quickly onto it

for Iceland. Back to Gunnarsson. A little bit wayward, but he got to

it, Skulason. That is a header from Bodvarsson which caught him slightly

on his toes. Bringing it down onto his chest, to bring the Swansea City

midfielder into the game, Sigurdsson. The ball is going over

his head one way, then the other. He is such an influential player in

this team. Can he get into the game? I know it is 13 minutes that have

gone but he has hardly had a touch it. The former Newcastle man here,

Kadar. Free kick, Hungary. A foul by Kari Arnason. He was too eager to

win the ball. In front of Priskin. Free kick now. Once again, you need

good delivery. Dzsudzsak can provide that.

Kleinheisler moves away from it and it will be Dzsudzsak to take this.

No threat, really on the goal of Halldorsson. Quite deep from the set

piece, the Icelandic team. A very deep starting position. You usually

see teams playing a higher line than that from a free kick so far out

wide. He scored 90 goals, Priskin. You remember that header for Ipswich

and you may remember him if you are a fan with QPR, Spurs, Derby.

Roland Juhasz. Dzsudzsak with a decent ball towards Kleinheisler.

Kleinheisler again. The Icelandic fans doing that scary chanting that

they do. And the other end. An hour before

kick-off there was a little bit of fighting between Hungarian fans and

police. The largest contingent of Hungarians, they wanted to get from

in behind the goal to your left hand side to the right where the bulk of

the fans are. They were wanting to climb over the walls and in the end

quite wisely the police thought it was probably a sensible decision

just to let them do it. The next level file will go in the not book

I'm sure. Zoltan Gera with that free kick. Priskin in the middle. The

shot from Dzsudzsak so well hit, the man who blocked it, Gunnarsson, has

gone down. But springs back to his feet. Coming in from that right-hand

side. He could come inside of his left foot, his left foot that time.

Good defending once again from the captain Gunnarsson. Kleinheisler.

Just could not get through the challenge. Kleinheisler looks a

decent player, the ginger haired midfielder for hungry. -- Hungary. I

do not think we will see the Icelandic full-backs get forward

that often. I think they will stay close to their centre halves and

keep that shape. Stieber might go through. Locked into the right-hand

side, probably a good decision. Sigurdsson for a Hungarian corner,

they look threatening, the Hungarians. Had to go out and

engage. Dzsudzsak on the left foot again. Good defending from

Sigurdsson. Dzsudzsak with this corner kick floated high. Headed

more up into the air then towards the goal by Juhasz.

Guzmics. Juhasz. Dzsudzsak seeing an awful lot of the ball. You could say

the same about Kleinheisler. That is a decent ball. Captain by Adam Lang.

All arriving at the back post. Gudmundsson, decent ball. Trying to

get the better of Adam Nagy. That is why he is in the Hungarian team, the

midfielder. He has to get across and cover that space.

The corner will be taken by Gudmundsson. Gudmundsson can have

another go. I really good cross. Well dealt with at the back post.

Bjarnason threatening. Skulason, just. Taken away from Priskin. It

was a fantastic header from the left-back. Mark King Bjarnason. The

ball came back and he did not race to get back, he stayed in his

position from the first set piece and for a defensive header. Zoltan

Gera. Guzmics. Halldorsson, was going to move to

Dutch football but almost straightaway dislocated his

shoulder. He has rarely played in Holland.

This is the worst playing surface I have seen at this tournament, it is

a bit patchy here and there. We have been to a lot of stadiums. Captain

fantastic condition and lovely to play on, but it does look a bit

patchy, a bit yellow in places. -- kept in fantastic condition. Adam

Nagy. Juhasz. It is a well organised Icelandic side. Arneson with the

clearance. Zoltan Gera. Neatly done. Gudmundsson.

Little flick but his strike partner know where near him.

Zoltan Gera, you could see what he was trying to achieve. Nice football

there from Hungary. Zoltan Gera at the heart of it. The final pass just

has not been there for either side. Hungary have had all the possession

but not one chance for either side after 24 minutes. Kleinheisler. Back

in two Priskin. Kleinheisler. Lots of energy, Kleinheisler, looking to

go forward every time. Having won the last game in the

tournament, hungry hoping to achieve something today that they have not

achieved for 50 years, back-to-back tournament victories. You have to go

back to 1966, they have never won back to back matches in the

tournament since. More history waiting to be made here.

Kleinheisler. They have got to do better, they

have got to get hold of the ball. It keeps coming back and there is

nothing more frustrating, to big centre forwards, you have got to try

to get hold of them. A bit of conversation going on

between the two Hungarians, the result is an Icelandic/. --

Icelandic throw. Sigthorsson to bad Farson, that is better. Away by

Nagy, neatly. Skulason for Iceland. Nagy again. Quite a diminutive

little player. There he is giving it away this time. Nowhere near

Sigthorsson. Adam Nagy has caught the eye of a

few clubs and you can see why. He has been linked with bigger clubs in

the past as well. Juhasz for Hungary. Dzsudzsak.

Guzmics. Kleinheisler. Defensively Iceland are doing really well. No

space in between the lines. Sitting deep so they can get no runners in

behind them. They are doing well defensively so far. A nice early

touch into the path of Dzsudzsak. Sigurdsson comfortably away.

Dzsudzsak again, positive running, happy to carry the ball a long way.

Priskin seemed a bit leaden footed in the middle. He is dangerous on

Many times under those circumstances, the decision goals

the goalkeeper's way. On that occasion, it did not and Gunnarsson

went over and the Russian referee says, penalty. He comes across, he

has dropped that, that is the correct decision. We see Gunnarsson,

he drops it, that is no foul. The ball runs at the feet of Gunnarsson

and the referee gives a penalty. Gabor Kiraly now faces a penalty

Gunnarsson, that is not a penalty for me, I am sorry. He has gone to

ground too easily. He has whipped a penalty into the bottom corner. 1-0,

Iceland. And in the last ten minutes, they have deserved the lead

but I do not think it was a penalty, I think Gunnarsson went down far too

easily. Well, it was Kadar with the challenge on Gudmundsson. The

referee was in no doubt and Gylfi Sigurdsson has scored for Iceland.

These fantastic Euros seem to get better and better. He either scored

or assisted half their goals in qualifying. And he has put them in

front here in Marseille. Did you feel that Kiraly was fouled? No, I

thought that he dropped the ball, no question in my mind. The penalty. I

thought the captain Gunnarsson went to ground far too easily from the

challenge from Kadar who was half pulling out of it so I do not think

it was a penalty at all! Now the test for Hungary, the first Gold

they have conceded in brands in these finals. -- -- Kleinheisler.

Left in a heap by the challenge of Gudmundsson. The referee is talking

to him and he gets the yellow card out for Gudmundsson.

He will be disappointed not have taken that earlier on. He is a

little lamb in the face of that. He just tries to hold on. Not sure that

is a yellow card. But he was given one by the referee. Nagy forward,

Bodvarsson has done well. Trying to find Bjarnason, he could not. He got

hold the ball, the centre forward. In the last ten minutes. That has

allowed Iceland to get up the pitch. Great chances.

Guzmics and I am surprised a free kick has not been given. It has not.

I thought it was a good challenge, Guzmics on Bodvarsson. He saw the

danger and he tackled with his left foot. Kadar popped the ball out to

play. We might disagree on this, Steve! I thought it was a good

tackle but I like to tackle. I was not good on the ball but I did like

the tackle! He made contact with the man first and he took his leg out in

order to make contact with the ball. You are the master of the dark arts!

Hungary. Trailing by 1-0. Kadar, cleared.

Bodvarsson. The challenge by Guzmics and again, no foul was awarded by

the referee. They keep their shape so well defensively, Iceland. The

two set midfielders stay in the centre and they do not go tearing

out to the left, they let the wingers do that. Bjarnason, they

stay in their shape, Gudmundsson. Very good defensive work, well

drilled. That is hours of work on the training ground and the two big

centre forwards, one is dropping the midfield now. They do it very, very

well. Look at Sigurdsson. -- Sigthorsson.

That is good play. Just one added minute at the end of the half.

Zoltan Gera, the ball has gone out of play. Hungary to throw. What a

trip this has been. Kleinheisler. Good challenge.

Skulason to get away from him. I reckon they will hear the whistle in

about 32nd. -- 30 seconds. The referee blows his whistle. If it

stays like this Iceland have virtually assured qualification to

the last 16 of the European Championships. Gylfi Sigurdsson from

the penalty spot with the only goal of the first half, five minutes

before the end of that, at half-time in the Stade Velodrome in Marseille.

Thank you to Stephen Robey. After half an hour we thought Iceland were

not going to score and Hungary were playing the better football. They

definitely wear, it is an open game end to end and Hungary and a lot

better for all but strangely Iceland had all the chances of top Hungary

have been on there since Iceland scored. I think it rattled them,

they felt comfortable, they thought they were the dominant side in the

game but now they have got a mountain to climb after having 70%

recession. Especially when Iceland have been so solid. They have been

solid enough, but what they have done well, when they have got the

chance to get the ball in the Hungarian box, they have caused them

problems. But Hungary have not helped with the goalkeeping

situation. He caused their own downfall. He certainly contributed.

This was strange early in the game, I have never seen this before,

although forwards and attacking players between him the goal. To me

that says I'm not comfortable, I'm nervous. He completely flaps at it.

Perhaps overexcited with the occasion. What is he doing, where is

his head, it is sloppy. All of a sudden they're the attack. This

leads to the corner that they get the penalty from. He has got to

catch that, it is not difficult. I agree with Robbie in commentary, it

is a harsh decision to give a penalty but they would not have been

in that position... If you cannot catch it cleanly you have got to

make a decision as a goalkeeper. If you're uncomfortable you have just

got to punch it. I did not think it was a penalty, I thought it was

soft, Tamas Kadar, on Gunnarsson. Did Gunnarsson win it rather than

Tamas Kadar? That is a diplomatic way of saying that he manipulated

the rules somewhat. They have been similar to how they were against

Portugal, they'd dug in at times and showed great mentality and a desire

to stay in the game. Now they're one goal up and they have something to

hold onto. But you said Iceland had chances. They had several good

chances. This the long throw coming in. Bad Farson, getting underneath

it, cannot quite get over the ball to direct it. It might just have

dipped under the bar. This is Gudmundsson, shows good strength and

that is a decent chance. The goalkeeper came out to narrow the

angle and saved it with his feet. Another good chance. And a battle in

the studio over whether to play Dzsudzsak for the praise. I think he

has been dangerous. If Hungary are to get back in the game is going to

be through Dzsudzsak. Plays down the right, likes to come in on his left,

the favoured of his feet. He controls it really well and he is

allowed to run inside, keeps going. And strikes it really well. But

Gunnarsson gets his way in between the shot and the goal. Should have

rolled that with a better wait, a bit of a half shot. It may have come

to something. Again inside and I like baseball, the centre forward

not really in sync with him. He is ahead of a lot of the others. In

terms of seeing things, the others are not quite on his wavelength.

Nice linkup with my man! They are the energy in the side.

Dzsudzsak is the most expensive player in Hungarian history. Would

you be inclined to play him on the inside? Do not let him come inside

at favourite left foot. And if they keep doing that in the second half,

that is where the opportunities will come for Hungary. Of course this

matches being played in Marseille, once home to one of our own. Chris

Waddle made quite an impression down on the south coast of France.

I was really happy but at the back of my mind was Champions League, I

had always wanted to play in European competitions. Before I

signed for Marseille I used to talk about signing for Tottenham with

Paul Gascoigne. I remember signing the deal and a week later the

Marseille thing just happened. I remember the next England game and I

joined up with Gary and I can't release said what he said to me but

he was not happy! -- really say. I was scared more than anything, a

bit nervous about moving abroad. But I did it, it was another level I

wanted to play at. I lived in a hotel, I brought my wife and

one-year-old daughter over so it was difficult on the family. The

language was an absolute nightmare, I could count to ten and that was

it. The shop owner where we used to go and ask for bread, people serving

as must have thought I'm sure this guy is death because he cannot

speak. I used to just point at everything. It really got to me. The

key when I got out of the hotel after three months I moved into a

house which we rented. I remember saying to my wife, when I opened the

door of the house, I said it starts from here. This was on the Monday

and on Friday night we played Paris Saint Germain at home and I scored a

goal, flicked it over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net. From

that moment that Friday night, especially against our big rivals,

Mike career arrived. I grew up supporting Marseille and 40 was

doing with that team, stuff I had never seen before. He could pass

someone without touching the ball. He's just a legend with Marseille.

If you dream of playing a certain style of football and asked to do a

certain job on the pitch, this was it. It suited me down to the ground,

do what you want when you get the ball. And with a smile on your face.

I tried to be a bit like the French and just did not work the pink

cardigan not very English. I have got to apologise for what I was

wearing. I went back for the England game, it was nice to still be

recognised. I left the club 24 years ago. I got a great reception, I have

always got on well with the fans and Marseille is no different. It was

worth that piece just for the haircut and the cardigan! Being very

self-deprecating when he said he got a nice welcome because I was with

him in Marseille and he was mobbed everywhere. You could understand

when you see some of the footage. I do not need to see the footage to

know how wonderful he was. I played with him at Sheffield Wednesday as a

teenager. We did OK in that game and he did not impress me too much, he

must have been annoyed at these young lads taking the make of it. In

the home game after ten minutes I went to close him down, he

absolutely killed me. It was a masterclass. Then I realised I was

in the presence of someone really special. He is passionate about how

he learned so much from being in Marseille. Do you wish more British

footballers played abroad like Gareth Bale is now? Each to their

own, I could never play abroad because I was not accustomed to the

weather. I used to get burnt! I possibly could have played in a

climate where it was not so hot but generally I would have struggled. I

hate playing in the heat. But Chris Waddle, I spent some time with him

in the first ten days or so over here and he is a fantastic guy to be

around. Very experienced, a lot of stories about Paul Gascoigne, the

World Cup, England, I was talking about French football and it has

been great to be around him. I had one small opportunity, an

opportunity to go to France but it did not happen. But I do regret it.

Do you think your game would have changed customer I think I would

have got it more quickly and learned more. I think any player who gets

the opportunity, not just from the football perspective from the

lifestyle perspective as well, should take it. Just to bring you

up-to-date with the latest from the England camp for the Jamie Vardy

spoke this afternoon. I thought the performance overall was very good.

Created a lot of chances. Did not really deserve to be losing at

half-time. So we needed to carry on doing what we were doing and the

goals would come. Competition for places is good with the squad and we

can use different systems as well. We have 23 and it is a team game and

if something is not working you have to bring someone off the bench.

Everyone is ready and waiting to make an impact. If that needs to

happen in the next game then so be it. It was an unbelievable feeling

to get the goal as well to bring it back level. The fans, the atmosphere

they brought to the stadium was unbelievable. We are all here for a

reason. We just take each game as it comes. And just fully focus on

Monday night and hope we can win. England and Wales play their final

group game is on Monday. We have highlights of both on BBC One at

Hungary about to get the second half under way. Their second choice

goalkeeper used to be at Liverpool and had spells with Tranmere and

Hull City and will play in the Bundesliga next season with Leipzig

and has been preferred to add Bob Dunn who is still at Liverpool but

not for long if they have their choice -- to add Bob Dunn. So they

are the alternatives if Danny Murphy had been the Hungary manager! It is

Iceland leading by 1-0. And 45 minutes perhaps away from getting

one foot very firmly planted, if not mathematically guaranteed, a place

in the last 16 of the European Championship. The referee from

Russia gets the second half under way with Hungary playing from right

to left. A good looking ball towards Kleinheisler. Gera. Hungary kicking

towards the end the majority of their fans are seated, but not many.

Robbie, no changes at half-time and why would Iceland change anything?

They would not, I agree with John Hartson. Macro -- one needs to get

the ball to Dzsudzsak, he looked lively inside his left foot.

Dash-macro one. And Priskin hardly had a touch of the ball so a lot to

do for Hungary in the second half. This is a country that have not

qualified, Hungary, for in major finals as the World Cup of 1986. 30

years ago. They came into this game knowing a win against Iceland would

take them guaranteed out of the group. Now, that is an opportunity

and at the moment it slipping through their fingers. No disrespect

to Iceland, but you would take that. Hungary not taking that chance at

the moment. I think everyone has agreed, having seen the incident

that led to the penalty, that Kiraly was not fouled. And perhaps

Gudmundsson was not either. Good coverage by Ragnar Sigurdsson. He

did that well in the first half and he has started the second half well,

he has covered exceptionally well. Kleinheisler here. Gera. The ball

into the box towards Priskin who nearly got a head on that. Good ball

in from Kadar and good position once again from Sigurdsson. Priskin, not

sure it is a foul, I think it is a genuine attempts to play a ball and

good defending from Sigurdsson. The referee gives a free kick.

here. It is not the card, I've think it is the spray, I thought the

referee had reached for his card. It was a foul from the captain,

Gunnarsson, one Kleinheisler. I think the high challenge missed and

the foot landed on his boot. Dzsudzsak with this, for Hungary.

Dzsudzsak signalling back. Gera, Kleinheisler. Not a bad routine but

at the end of it, it was not great from Kleinheisler. Very well worked.

I think Kleinheisler from that ball back to him would want to hit it

first time. There was too much pace on it and he had to control from his

right and get onto his left. It would be nice though it was set for

himself he could hit it first time. -- if it was set for him so that he

could hit it first time. Nice work for Kleinheisler. Dzsudzsak wants it

and that is where he tried to put it but he was well off the mark with

the clearance. More energy and pace with the tackle in the opening five

minutes of the second half from Hungary. The energy must have had a

go at them at half-time. More movement and more pace about the

attack so early on in the second-half. Guzmics. Kadar, Gera.

And the pressure forced him into the error. I wonder if we will see the

Hungarian-Serbian border is warming up, but I wonder whether we will see

Eidur Gudjohnsen coming on at some point in this tournament for

Iceland. His father scored against Hungary in a World Cup qualifier in

1993. That is a foul. From Gunnarsson. Played against

Gunnarsson on a couple of occasions and he works so hard. He has got

good energy and he is tenacious and he loves tackle. He is doing a good

job but this side. Andy Goode job for Cardiff, for the last five

seasons -- and eight good. Trying to use the width of the pitch

as as much as possible, Lang wins the throw-in. Skulason with the

clearance, making sure it does not reach Priskin. It has, the Gera. --

it has gone to Gera. Zoltan Stieber, Kleinheisler. Kadar. Back in, you

goes down and is immediately told to get up, Zoltan Stieber. Complaints

from the Hungarians behind the goal. Arnason with the challenge.

really trying to impose themselves on the second-half. So many

Icelandic bodies around the 18 yard area, there was around it. Nice

little dummy if he meant it. He has got it back now, Dzsudzsak. Gylfi

Sigurdsson and the strong challenge from Ragnar Sigurdsson took it away

from him. Bjarnason. That is why you want the big centre forward to do

that. That is the challenge. He needs to be stronger. Zoltan

It was a perfect opportunity. You can see it. Left leg in the air

burst followed by the right but it came off his toe. Apologising to his

well for Iceland but not that well for Iceland as Bodvarsson was going

to convert a second with a spectacular overhead. Nicely done,

Hungary. Time to pick out the ball. He dealt with it. They have all the

time in the world to pick out the ball. Four Hungarian players in the

box and he does not pick any of them out. Not much movement for him,

Priskin when the box and he does not pick any of them out. Not much

movement for him, Priskin went near post. Five in the Icelandic penalty

area as the corner comes in headed out by Sigthorsson, at goofy

Sigurdsson trying to get underneath it. Cleared away by Nagy. Almost

Sigurdsson. The reverse pass. I have got to say that he was onside, he

made a good run. Sigthorsson should have had the target. Wrong decision

from the linesman. They look far more dangerous on the counterattack

the game. He has not seen as much of the ball as he would have liked in

substitutions paying off will benefit from the changes made here,

is that going to work for Hungary with Bode?

We have seen substitutions having an impact on the games in this

tournament. And a lot of goals in the last five minutes. You have got

to be brave and try to get up the pitch. It is hard but the more you

drop a eventually won will drop and we have seen that with England

against Wales. The pressure. Getting the winning goal through Sturge and

at the end. The points are shared but Hungary, they know they're

almost, almost assured a place in the last 16 of the European

Championships whilst Iceland have got work to do against Austria.

Hungary are almost there. And there is the man, delightful to see him go

over to console him. Iceland look heartbroken, they have got to lift

themselves somehow. But it is finished in Marseille with one

apiece draw. Contrasting emotions in Marseille. The draw keeping Hungary

top of Group F and with a good chance of qualifying for the last 16

of the Berlocq there yet. They go through as group winners if they

beat Portugal in the final game. Iceland are second and will be

leapfrogged is the it -- if there is a winner in the game between

Portugal and Austria tonight. When you look at the Hungarian

celebrations, they believe they are virtually there. That is them now on

four points and a couple of good results. Great spirit and character

today, they kept going. Iceland deserved to be in front, I thought

they had the better chances in the first half in particular but in the

second half they hardly created chance. Backs to the wall stuff.

Hungary were pushing for the equaliser and in the end they felt

they deserved it. The feeling watching it is everyone feeling

quite sorry for Iceland but understanding at the same time but

Hungary deserve to get something. These last ten minutes of these

games every day! Mentally I was going through it for the Icelandic

players, the effort and commitment they put in. But I think Hungary

deserved it, they were the better team in the second half by far. Just

a shame it was an own goal. On mental tiredness, is there a mental

tiredness in the players and that is why we have seen so many late goals?

I think when you're holding on for dear life, making last ditch

challenges, chasing the ball. Iceland predominantly in the second

half were chasing the ball and then I think there can be mental

tiredness. A bit like the Welsh against the English. It is hard to

hang on. It looked to be a warm day as well. And the closer you are to

getting that result, you're counting the clock down the top 28% of the

goals in this tournament coming in the last minutes of the game. The

goal was tiredness from the Icelandic defenders. Sigurdsson on

the corner of the box. Sigurdsson is there and he sees what is happening.

The lad who turned his back, completely switches off. Sigurdsson

has got to communicate better. It is a good ball across the box. And to

be fair the lad has no choice but to try to stop it. Hungary, Rosol

Dzsudzsak trying all sorts of things and actually that came off for them.

They got on the end of every cross, the Icelandic defenders. Take a look

at the Iceland Gull again. It was a mistake and perhaps fortunate to get

the penalty. -- take a look at the Icelandic goal. Very soft, the

referee pointed to the spot, no doubt in his mind. But as you can

see, Gunnarsson, Cardiff City, I think that is very soft and he goes

over it too easily for me. But they get it. Calmness personified.

Sigurdsson slots it away, lovely. Good under pressure, really tucked

away in the corner nicely. He was the best player today. Going into

the second round, they would be more than happy to settle for a point

because that would almost put them through, but we have not seen that

in second group entries in general. It has all been defence. There have

been a lot of positive performances. Hungary today did nothing but try to

win the game. For me the new format brings excitement throughout the

whole stages. Even in the last games we're going to see a huge chunk of

the teams still in with a great chance of getting through. I think

it has worked. You can see the Hungarian players over your

shoulder, still on the pitch put up they have just finished a lap of

honour. They feel they have won the game. It is a very good point for

them, that takes them to four points. And most teams I would think

in the group probably think if they get to four point then they're right

in the mix of getting into the last stages. Well all the football coming

your way, let me point you in that direction. England and Wales on
