of Day 11 of the 2014 World Cup. We will show you what has happened in

Group H, Fabio Capello's Russia against the plethora of Premier

League stars that feature for Belgium, plus Algeria against South

Korea. Let's start with the fascinating Group G. Yesterday,

Germany and garnered through, so how would Jurgen Klinsmann's USA respond

against Portugal? In Manaus, mark Webber Sim and Simon Brotherton.

Jurgen Klinsmann will have them fired up and ready to go against

watchable, whose start to the World Cup could hardly have been worst.

Thrashed 4-0 by Germany the heaviest defeat over in the finals, lose this

one tonight and Portugal will be out after just two matches. Jurgen

Klinsmann reshuffling his line-up tonight, making only one change to

the side that beat Ghana 2-1. It is all change for Portugal at the

back, starting with their goalkeeper, Beto, who replaces the

injured Rui Patricio. A few clouds appearing on the far

side of the stadium, I don't know whether there may be a thunderstorm

in the air before the evening is out.

It has fallen kindly here for Nani! Great start for Portugal. Just under

five minutes played and Nani fire them into the lead. Just what they

needed after that disastrous performance against Germany. It is

yet another poor piece of defensive play when the cross came in.

Easy to deal with, it just came off the shin. Really nothing in the

cross, is there? It was Geoff Cameron who swung his

leg at it and did not get hold of it at all.

I just wonder whether playing right back at Stoke and moved into the

centre, he has found himself at an awkward position, but even though he

should have dealt with that much better.

United States coming into this match on the back of four straight wins.

Clint Dempsey will get to the ball! It was a tight angle, he forces a

save from Beto. There was no other option, he was

the only one in the box at the time. Since Portugal took the lead,

America are the better team. Bradley will get their ahead of

Ricardo Costa. Dempsey. He looks to see who is with him, he has two

Whether it swerved or not, I am not sure, the strike from Nani, but he

just poured it away and the second one he was already starting to move

but look how well he does. Fantastic to be able to recover, but that is

what they do in training day in, day out, that kind of double short. That

was absolutely world-class therefrom Tim Howard.

In any match between these two countries there has now been more

than one goal in any of the games. Bradley! Great work from the line!

That is a great ball in, Ricardo Costa does absolutely fantastic. It

is so sweet, as well. Kyle Beckerman, wisely heading back

to Dempsey this time. Now they can break and it is Ronaldo. The whole

stadium is on its feet in anticipation as he puts it wide.

So unlike him, as well. He normally makes our goalkeeper make the save.

The longer it goes on, the more they will commit to try and get something

from the game. It is Ricardo Costa who is waiting

for Dempsey. Let's see how many people they put

What a wonderful strike. Years in the team for his hard work in

midfield rather than any goal-scoring prowess. -- he is in

the team. But he hit that shot as well as

anyone on the field could have done. Just look at Beto here. There is

nothing he can do about it. That horrible moment, as far as he is

Tim Howard winning his 102nd cap tonight. Coming to the rescue once

more, this time to deny Raul Meireles.

It was a poor punch, but at least he rectified his first mistake.

It is in! The United States have turned the game on its head! And it

is Clint Dempsey who has scored the goal! He was so close he could

hardly miss, but he has lifted the roof here in Manaus.

That is why you never come ever give up at sport.

Absolutely fantastic. Again it came on that right hand side and Portugal

have done nothing at all to stem the flow of crosses from there. They are

partly responsible for it, I'm afraid. They get a bit of a lucky

break here on the deflection. That deflection was similar to the

Cameron deflection for Portugal's goal.

Maybe there is time for one last attack, Ronaldo's ball in and great

chance for an equaliser! There it is! Right at the end of the game,

deep into added time! Brilliant cross.

What a fantastic ball that is. So many times it is Cristiano

Ronaldo who gets them out of jail, this time he was the provider, what

a pass, and what a header. Late drama, it was almost the last kick

of the game, and there is the proof as the referee from Argentina blows

the final whistle. There is the-year-old from Portugal,

Silvestre Varela. There is the man who thought he had won for the

United States. -- there is the hero. All four teams in Group G have

played two games now and that is at the table stands. These are the

thoughts of the men in the match of the Day studio.

There were that many mistakes in the game it made a great spectacle in

the second half. The last kick of the game, the mistake, Jurgen

Klinsmann must be devastated. Both goals from America could have been

stopped. Let us see the winning goal. But the

winning goal, the equaliser, it felt like the winner for Portugal.

They had it in the corner and should have just stayed there and they just

have got to kill the game. When it comes to Ronaldo, there is a

lot to do. Fantastic, right into the mix.

It certainly was not his best night. No. It is a great ball in, but Geoff

Cameron, who has played for Stoke all season, not a good position. He

does not have a look around him, I don't know if there is communication

with the goalkeeper, he cannot taken away -- take anything away from the

ball itself. But they made so many mistakes in

the game, it was actually quite good to watch because of that.

Do you know the last time USA won consecutive matches in a World Cup

final? No. 1930, their first two games.

Not that I'm trying to make you feel badly in any shape or form.

It is a good point! Now onto Group H. South Korea

against Algeria in a little while, but first Fabio Capello 's Russia

against Belgium. We have already seen Julie and

Argentina light up the Maracana Stadium behind me, will these to

follow suit? Commentary comes from Martin Keown

and Jonathan Pearce. Both of these sides rely on substitutes to pull

them back from behind. The golden generation only glittered

sporadically against Algeria. Russia were definitely ordinary. A

win for Belgium and they will be through to the second phase for the

important goal. Absolutely brilliant from heading Hazard. That is what he

past defenders. He is thinking about getting to the byline. Then he picks

Showed great awareness to pull off into that position to receive and

then smack it home. This man has made some inspired substitutions in

these World Cup finals. Vincent Kompany steers away from

troubled waters. And Belgian cant break. -- Belgium can break. Kevin

again. Belgium are through. They have left it very, very late. Marc

Wilmots deserves full praise for making another couple of key

changes. That leaves Fabio Capello's side on the brink. Belgium

has been happening in the other Group H game, South Korea against

Algeria. Second place in Group H and a place in the last 16 of the 2014

World Cup is wide open. South Korea and Algeria understand that victory

in this one is crucial if they are to realise their dream.

A new look Algerian side as the coach makes five changes. On paper

it means a more attacking performance.

South Korea look far from convincing. Shouts for a penalty.

They are still appealing for the penalty. That, to me, looks a very

good shout. Slimani! Goal, Algeria and! The

early release and Slimani able to sneak between the defenders, who

struggled to cope with the bounce of the ball. He just gets the touch

required to put it past the goalkeeper. That is his 11th goal in

27 appearances. It may just be the platform for a

famous Algerian victory. The deflection takes it wide. Third

corner for Algeria. It is to! -- two! Algeria in dreamland. Two goals

in two minutes. Halliche powers it home. There is a real confidence

about the Algerian side now. In command of the situation and looking

forward to going second with one game left. Three for Algeria! On

believable scenes in Porto Alegre! -- on believable. Again, poor

defending from Korea Republic. Djabou taking it daily. Before the

goalkeeper settled himself, the ball was passed him.

Goal! Song Heung-min with it. Korea Republic see perhaps a glimmer of an

opportunity to get back into this one. Their first shot at goal brings

them a goal. The error by the defender. It is a smart finish from

Song Heung-min. The golden boy of the football world in the Korea

Republic. Korea Republic maybe, just maybe, back in business. It was on

this Day 24 years ago that Diego Maradona once -- went past England

defenders to score I give you the best goal in a World Cup finals. He

was among those who warned that Algeria may be better in this

tournament and we expect. Such power in that effort. Tipped over by the

goalkeeper. Brahimi... Four! What a fabulous

goal! Brahimi! The 3-goal advantage restored. It is the first time

Algeria threatened in the second half. It is such a composed finish.

Brahimi, his first ever international goal. Such a calm

finish. Algeria the first African nation to

score four at a World Cup finals. It is another one back! Koo Ja-cheol

the final touch. The goals keep on coming. 4-2 in Porto Alegre. It is

all about the work at the back post. When it is not across the penalty

area, it is of the knee of the captain, Koo Ja-cheol. A second goal

for Korea Republic. All the damage done in the first tab. Goals from

Slimani, Kelly Shannon Jaber who put them in control. Korea Republic

played strongly in the second half. 4-2 is the final score on a dramatic

afternoon in Porto Alegre. A famous night in the history of Algerian

football. Their first World Cup finals victory since 1982 to put

themselves in pole position for the runners-up spot.

Martin Keown has left the commentary box and joined me. A lot of people

work tipping Belgium as dark horses along with Chile. It is difficult to

know what to make of them and yet they sit there with six points. And

-- as an English man you would have taken a couple of poor performances

and six points? We cannot criticise. They have done exceptionally well.

This was a team of a lot of fans were here today affecting every good

game. It didn't live up to that. I think we will see a better day from

Belgium. Mertens was the threat down think we will see a better day from

the right. Hazard was quite quiet. Did you want to see him get involved

more? Rio Hazard is a very clever player. He needed to get more

central. That is the modern-day winger. He has to come inside and

link with the front player. In the end I think Hazard's brilliance,

getting to the byline and pulling one back, his pace was something
