battle. The referee did not see the touch of the ball with the handball.

It was a pity because I think we were in control of the match. If you

could take what Leicester did at the end of the season and transport that

to your team you could stay up. I think maybe we are on the way to do

that. If we keep this spirit maybe we can do it. A few decisions to

look at. Once again the ambiguity of the handball rule, the debate will

rumble on as to what is deliberate or not. This is debatable. It could

have been given. But I think Cissokho gets across the block it.

At first I thought it was handball but when I floated down I was not

sure. But the linesman put the flag up right away. For me I would be

disappointed to get up right away. For me I would be

against me for that. It is a up right away. For me I would be

penalty kick and that changed the up right away. For me I would be

game, giving Leicester the chance to go two goals up. There is no intent.

No and none of us know the right interpretation. But I think that

gave them a great chance, they got a shot from that. Personally I think

just get rid of all this, if it hits shot from that. Personally I think

the hand, it is a penalty. If you know that is the law then you have

got to keep your hands out of the way. And the players would make a

bigger effort not to do it. I think the too many variables of handball,

the referee has got to use common sense. But it was difficult. It is

different in Spain. I think the referees just give decisions like

free kicks, but they would all have been given, that is for sure! Villa,

signs of a recovery? I'm not sure about that. But since Remi Garde

came in, he wants to play a certain type of foot wall. Today it was more

exciting when they went direct. Rudy Gestede came on, it was more direct

and the fans seem to get more excited. I think that is the way

forward for Aston Villa. Leicester are battling, a bit too much on

We know how difficult it is to beat West Brom. The free kick opened the

game and then it was a different game because you have the

confidence. You have already scored. We controlled the game and totally

deserve the win today. All credit to Southampton and

terrific performance. But first a look at that penalty. I think part

of it is right, it is a free kick. But after slowing down, it is just

outside the box. It was a free kick and that should have been given. But

for me not a penalty. He just gets a touch. Just nudging it. Speaking of

free kicks, Ward-Prowse, a wonderful free kick from him. Two goals, he

has travelled his tally! He has Ricky Lambert to thank for that! He

has his arm up as if he is about to take the set piece. Again if we stop

that, Boaz Myhill just takes a jump and that does not allow him to shift

his feet quickly enough. Not to take anything away from the free kick,

that rounded off a fantastic week for Southampton. And a new signing

to boot. A player I know very well and he will be hungry to get going.
