brilliant. An extraordinary end to this crazy game. Written in the

stars. Cahill has been sent off and the champions are beaten. A dream

start to their Premier League chapter. Red card for John joy

Shelvey. What an incredible start to the new Premier League season.

We begin at the ground that's witnessed the fewest Premier League

goals over the past 12 months, Southampton's

West Ham, beaten 4-0 by Manchester United on the opening

COMMENTATOR: It was no surprise to hear Manuel Pellegrini say

Southampton have done extra work on finishing this week given the hat

full of chances they created but failed to take against Swansea. Club

record sign Lemina makes his debut. His last appearance before leaving

Juventus was in their Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.

Bad news for West Ham in the warm-up as Winston Reid picked up and

injured. Ogbonna is his replace am. There is a first Premier League

start for 18-year-old Pat Rice. Michail Antonio, who top scored for

the Hammers last season, returns after four months frommier.

Cresswell and Fonte also come in. Well met by Antonio. Yoshida

underneath it though for Southampton. Antonio finds Noble.

Michail Antonio, clever pass. Arnautovic. Best chance of the game

so far. It's a beautiful pass here from Michail Antonio. Arnautovic got

plenty of pace on it, but no placement. A really good chance.

Slaven Bilic said he and his players were gutted after that mauling in

Manchester last weekend. He's confident we will see a reaction

from them today. Noble. Davis tangling. Romeu poking forwards. Gab

Deeney releasing Redmond. He continues his run. He's found here

by Redmond. 1-0 by Southampton. The long wait for a gong at St Mary's

for the Saints is finally over. And Manolo Gabbiadini ends his personal

drought as well. Gabbiadini started the move. Timed his run perle

effectually and then just sent it beyond Joe Hart. Gabbiadini who

scored on his Southampton debut against West Ham here in February is

on target against the Hammers early on today. Early for the run of

quite strong in the challenge, but meanwhile Arnautovic is down here.

In from Hernandez. West Ham are level. What a remarkable recovery

from the Hammers. Javier Hernandez has his second of the afternoon.

Really good delivery. Forster did well to keep out the initial effort,

but couldn't do anything about Hernandez on the rebound. 2-0 down,

a man down, but a double from Hernandez makes it all square. Well,

surely they didn't think they were going to be celebrating after the

way the first half was panning out. Into the final minute. Redmond, a

bit of room. Going to have a go. Oh, for a the second time this

afternoon, Southampton hit the bar. Redmond given the room to chance his

arm. Got a deflection off Fonte. West Ham with everybody back behind

the ball, as you'd expect. Ward-Prowse. Oh, it's a great ball

in. And there was the chance for Yoshida, who was dragged down. It's

a penalty. Drama right at the death. Pablo Zabaleta cannot believe it,

and all of West Ham's hard work may have disappeared in the final few

seconds. It's a nudge in the back from the Argentine on Yoshida. Dusan

Tadic has already scored a penalty today, but Charlie Austin is going

to take this one. Joe Hart is trying to get into the Southampton's

players ears. It's all getting a bit fiesty. And Austin does score. A

remarkable climax to what has been a thrilling afternoon. Huge pressure,

but a cool finish from Austin. Southampton 3, West Ham 2. How are

you feeling after that? It was quite an afternoon? Yes, difficult game.

To analyse and to see. Nice game to see as a fan, but as a manager, to

be a manager, it's a difficult game because I think we were better

against 11 players than against 10. But the best thing for us we got

three points. We had to keep going. We had to learn from this game. We

conceded a very cheap goal. The first one from the counter-attack.

But we reacted really good. I'm very proud of the team. What about the

dismissal of Marko Arnautovic? I'm not going to talk about it. It's a

big blow. Have you to play with 10-men for a big part of the game.

It's not easy. As I said, the guys showed great character. It looked as

if there was a fair bit of gamemanship going on. Did you have

to keep your cool? I was going to go keeper right. He said, he knows

where you are going. I changed at the end. Thanks to him. This is

English football. In two minutes everything can change. The majority

of the team have quality to create problems. You have to fight for

every single point. Today two penalties that must get to you

again? Are you trying to make me talk about the penalties. I to the

Mark Noble was lucky to get away with this challenge. A naughty

challenge. Gary Cahill got sent off for lunging into a tackle last week.

He wants to put pressure on to Jack Stephens, attacking at pace. They

correct decision from Lee Mason, but why he throws out his arms so wide

and into Jack Stephens' net. He apologised on social media. Rightly

so. Look at the impact. He put his team in a tough position. Jose Fonte

is an experienced defender and he gets too tight to Harrison Davies.

No chance of getting beer it why he and feels the need to pull on his

neck. Another good decision from the referee. Tadic squeeze it is in.

Down to ten men. Getting themselves back into it at 2-2 and one of the

most experienced players, Zap Valletta, trying to be too clever.

Realises Yoshida is in a great position -- Pablo Zabaleta. He

changes his mind. He loves those opportunities. How do you see

Southampton? A different manager. Claude Puel did well but people

thought he was a bit dull. Six games at home without a goal, stopped that

today. I did a lot of games at Southampton last year and fans were

not happy. Important Pellegrino got off to a good start. Apart from the

comeback and character. Chicharito,. A super striker. The type of fellow

you can rely on to get typical striker goals, like yourself Gary,

in the old days. 39 goals, they have all been inside the box. He has

great movement. In a game where they could have been out of sight, he has

brought them back in. That is not an easy finish. He will gain confidence

from those goals, even though they did not get anything from the match,

West Ham will have the chance to finish higher than last season. And

the young teenager Declan Rice played well.

Manchester United's win over West Ham last week was the biggest

Jose Mourinho's side faced Swansea, who failed to register a shot

on target in a goalless draw at Southampton.

With Gylfi Sigurdsson gone and Fernando Llorente injured, Swansea

offered little at Southampton last weekend and give a Manchester

United's attacking display against West Ham, most give Swansea Little

chance today. In the Premier League, those ideas cannot be turned upside

down. Kyle Bartley comes in for Wayne Routledge, and three at the

back with winger backs. With Leon Britton ruled out, a debut for Roque

Mesa, signed for a reported 11 million. He will do well to settle

quickly as Lukaku, who scored twice for on debut last week. While

Swansea are paying tribute to the honorary president who passed away

aged 90 having served the club for half a century.

Since they got into the Premier League, we have become accustomed to

a nice style of football played by Swansea. I wonder whether today they

will have to be a gritty city to get a result against Manchester United.

Swansea did really well. They made the triangle too tight. There might

be something on. Over David de Gea and off the bar, would you believe

it. Tremendous work by Jordan Ayew. Swansea again. A chance for Kyle

to consider his options. David de Gea was not expecting that and not

many were and almost straightaway Lukaku was away. Just the touch is

his Mojo back. It seems to happen in his second season in charge of a

club. Fouled this time. Increasing the

amount of stick Marcus Rashford has been getting from the first moment

he has touched the ball. Being booed because of the penalty when these

kick came in, he was standing offside. The flag did not go up the

card of the game. It has suddenly got lively in terms of tackles. It

It was a needless swipe on Tom Carroll. Pogba late into the tackle

having already been booked for a late tackle. John Moss looks as

though he will give him the benefit of the doubt. A last chance warning

for Paul Pogba. One of those where you can bet your bottom dollar if he

had not been booked, he would have been for that one. Most referees

officiate like that. Rash that in an tamely into the

gloves of Fabianski. -- Marcus Rashford. What a chance for Marcus

Rashford, who has been bright. That was a dull finish.

Another beauty. No other option for Kyle Naughton. It had to go behind.

celebrate, his first for Manchester United. Swansea came out of the

traps going for it in the first half. I suppose they have to now,

but they do not want to leave themselves open. Alfie Mawson, a

good ball. Tom Carroll, Abraham. Could not get

over the top of it. Maybe just came at it with a little too much pace.

It was a neat Swansea move. Tommy Abraham doing his best as the focal

point in the middle but they are missing Fernando Llorente, Swansea,

the Spanish World Cup winner who was their top scorer last season.

Recuperating from a broken arm sustained while cycling on holiday.

Anthony Martial lets it go for Mkhitaryan and Lukaku! Lukaku for

Manchester United is something you will hear a lot of this season. He

has had a quiet game, but when the big chance arrived he was in the

right place to gobble it up. Only his third appearance for Manchester

United and he already has four goals. Two they have this afternoon

should be enough to guarantee three points the Red Devils.

Mkhitaryan, what a run. Pogba lifts it over Fabianski to really seal the

deal. Running away with it. In the space of just over a minute, one has

become three. A driving run from Mkhitaryan. Pogba goes on at the

right time and pace to be in just the right place. It is an easy, lazy

left to make it Swansea 0- three Manchester United. They will have a

happy short flight back to Manchester this evening.

It could be another four goal haul. Anthony Martial makes it four. For

the second game in a row he comes off the bench to join in the

goal-scoring form. Making the point himself. He does not want to go

anywhere. Making the point to the rest of the league the sort of

strength in depth Manchester United have and the final score today will

make this game look easy. Three goals scored in three minutes and 41

seconds. It has happened with me many times with my teams. You are

winning 1-0 and you are in trouble, you score and let's close the door.

You score the second goal and the feeling was you can score more, so

no need to close the door. Just let the horses run. The difference

between the start of the game and 79 minutes was one goal and it was a

set play. I had made changes tactically and try to get more

offensive players into the game to create more and get back into it. We

got in a mess defensively for the second. It was a gift for them. We

gave the ball away. We played to their strengths and they are so

dangerous on the counterattack. We were punished. The atmosphere and

environment in the team was amazing. This year it is better. It is not

that something changed, we became close to each other, we became

united. Maybe that is why our new signing showed everything is good

and helping us from the first. Six points, the horses are running

freely. But you have one little nag. I do! We watched Manchester United

last week and they were outstanding, free-flowing football, movement to

see. Today, it was not as easy as the scoreline suggested. Up to 80

minutes, although it felt like they would win, Swansea caused problems.

He likes to play with wide players tucked in and Central. If you play

with the likes of Lukaku, Juan Mata, Mkhitaryan. You need to do it when

you have Daley Blind and Valencia wide. They did not go wide at that

point, going through the centre of the pitch, which I found they were

doing up on a lot of occasions. Juan Mata this time. Options in the

centre. Look at the back four of Swansea, having to come into close

the gaps. The spaces out wide. I expect Daley Blind to get into the

space, give them the opportunity to get behind the Swansea back four. He

has never really encouraged the fullbacks to bomb on. Today it was

there and calling for it. Mkhitaryan, two great assists.

Capable of picking out the wrong for Juan Mata. On the right, where is

Valencia? He tries to go through the middle and gets caught out. We see

him at right back. Pogba wants to go through the middle again. It was a

common theme I saw throughout the game. Only 1-0 at this point. They

went on to win comfortably. They are playing with confidence in tight

areas. Marcus Rashford sensational and was brought. The amount of times

this happens when they come into the middle, where Swansea were

strongest. Gets cleared out. I felt against the better sides, they will

need to find better options in the wide areas. Against Swansea it is

fine, West Ham, great. Pogba scored in both games. Settling

in well this season. A positive for United. They need one of their big

stars to perform. He can do everything. I would hate to play

against him. Strong and powerful. He can sit-in there and pass the ball

about. What he is doing today. This is the worst bit of him. Frustrated

early on in the game. Rightly a yellow card for me. Yes. A silly

kick out. Yellow is the right decision. Swansea were obviously

thinking - maybe this could be a second. It's not for me. It's a

foul. Not every foul is a yellow. What he brings you is this powerful

presence in the opposition box. That is a superheader. Very hard to pick

up. The fact United have a huge team of set plays. This is what I think

he will be best at, getting forward, using his athleticism and using his

power. Can he finish? Beautiful. He has all the tools he needs to be

scoring a lot more goals than he has done previously. Released more now

with Matic there as well? Exactly. A really good point. Great legs around

him as well. Not just about picking up Pogba. Look at him, bursting,

late in the game. Nice and fit and strong. Can he make the right

decision. Yes, simple pass to Martial. Then another great sub to

come in off the bench. 4-0. Harsh on Swansea. Harsh on Swansea. The power

they have they will steamroller teams. OK.

Stoke's first home game of the season saw them host

an Arsenal side who left it late to beat Leicester last weekend.

in front of the referee. Quickly taken by Ozil to Bellerin.

Oxlade-Chamberlain. Good movement from Welbeck. Kept out by Butland.

Then cleared by Diouf. Excellent football from Arsenal. Bellerin.

Ramsey in ahead of Jese. There goes Oxlade-Chamberlain again, he's still

going. He's got it back. He's looking for Bellerin, once more. It

was untidy from Diouf. Arsenal get a corner. They did want a little bit

more. Got forward well there on the left hand side. There were Arsenal

appeals here. Diouf, from that angle, looked as though he may have

caught Bellerin. The corner, off the head of Shawcross.

Oxlade-Chamberlain drilled that at pace. Now it could be a Stoke break

on. Jese. Shaqiri had to stay onside. Jese still going, and still.

Choupo-Moting wants the pullback. Here he is, and he couldn't generate

any power. Mark Hughes knows the talent that Jese has. For whatever

reason he hasn't been able to show it in recent times. Four Arsenal

defenders there, he was slightly behind Choupo-Moting, in his

was a free-runner, Ramsey, brilliant from Butland. He saved Stoke there.

moment for the new boy. Only arrived in the country this week. On-loan

from Paris St-Germain. On his debut, he scores Stoke's first goal of the

season to give them the lead. Less than two minutes into the

second-half, he picked it up there. Berahino played his part and Jese

did the rest. He's had a frustrated time in the last 12 months, the

24-year-old, but what a start to life in the Premier League with

Stoke City. What a start to the second-half. That's what he got him

for. Stoke 1, Arsenal 0. Ozil, drop of the shoulder to get away from

Fletcher. Bellerin's in. Bellerin has an opportunity. Butland held it

in the nick of time. All created by Ozil. Well timed run from Bellerin,

on his right foot. This is set up now bike the per

verbal training match against defenders. Mopped up by Fletcher.

Pieters. Berahino wants it early. That's who he's aiming for. And it

needed Cech's intervention. Berahino pointed to where he wanted it.

Pieters duly delivered it. Petr Cech needed to watch that all the way.

who continues to defy Arsenal in the Stoke goal. Couldn't get himself in

a situation where he could get any power. He just poked it really in

But Simon Beck, the referee's assistant raised the flag

straightaway. Giroud involved. Oh, my word, that is a tight, big call.

It might US just be his right foot. A very good spot from the assistant

if he thinks that. He's not lost his opening away fixture in the last

eight Premier League seasons. Arsenal furious there is no foul.

Pieters goes on. No foul there either by Mustafi. Mark Hughes is

livid. The referee, from that view, took it that Mustafi got the ball.

Outside the area anyway. Mark Hughes livid. Less than two minutes of

stoppage-time remaining. Ozil. In from Monreal. There's the header

from Giroud. He can't steer it on target. It's the first chance he's

had since his introduction. It looks as though it isn't going to be

Arsenal's day. How excited are you by Jese's arrival and how he hit the

ground running today? When you think about it he has two, three training

sessions with the group, so if that's what's to come, I think we

will all be delighted. We were unlucky because I think we scored a

regular goal that was given offside and was not offside. I believe Des

fencively we knew at half-time it was important not to make a mistake

at the back, and we gave them straightaway a cheap goal. I must

ask you about Arsenal at home there seems to be a different thing in the

air. Seven out of the last eight seasons you haven't lost to them

here? They were ready for it today. Too much criticism of everything

that's involved with Stoke City. Wrongly, in my view. I think the

crowd just wanted to make a statement. Along with the team. They

were fed up of it. They just wanted to get behind their team today. Well

only one place to start, really, Danny. Fabulous debutant

performance. Your essay must be on Jese. Considering he only got to the

club. It was a magnificent performance. He gave them quality we

haven't seen in recent times. Confident early on. Good save from

Cech. Played on the left hand side that gave him more freedom. You can

see the bits of awareness. Educated himself at Madrid all those years.

He's obviously going to have quality. He could pass it there. He

thinks he is offside. Watch this for a determined run. Someone who is

comfortable and confident on the ball. Yeah, a bit of luck along the

way. He was causing them problems. You think, is it another risk, if

you like? Today, I mean, that was beautiful. Saw him come in. That's

the type of player Stoke fans will really want to watch play. It's not

just tricks and flicks, it's with end product as well. Starts to move

himself to the goal. Changes the angle of his run, on his so-called

weaker front. A brilliant display for him. For Mark Hughes and Stoke

City long may that continue. Arsene Wenger wasn't happy with one or two

decisions. Your verdict, Jermaine? I had to degree. There were more than

a few decision that is went against Arsenal. Hard for you to say? I

don't know how I got it out! A great ball from Oxlade-Chamberlain. Diouf

slips. Regardless of whether he slips or not it's a foul. It's clear

as day, this is a foul. You see the contact here. Left shin, contact

with Bellerin's left shin. You see his foot even go out as we run it

on. That's contact. That is a penalty. Bellerin goes down. Nothing

was given. He was stumbling as it went down. That is why the referee

didn't give it. It was a pen. It was a penalty. Zouma and Diouf involved.

Zouma's left leg there. Kicks the back of Danny Welbeck's right leg.

Clumsy again. It forces Danny Welbeck, when he goes for the shot,

to drag his foot against the floor. Another opportunity missed. Another

penalty they should have had. This is the goal. Marginal this one? Oh.

I think the referee, the linesman must have got very lucky here. How

he spotted the fact that his toe is offside, I don't know. You can't

criticise the linesman for being right. You can't. He's got it right.

That is the end of it. You can understand why Arsene Wenger would

be slightly upset. For Arsene Wenger, when you get three or four

instances in a row you feel hard down by. This is the last one.

Diouf, he is playing him in defensive areas. He lunges in. This

is the old classic, got to go down if you want to get a penalty. Stays

on his feet. No chance for a pen. Serious point though. At that point

you are saying, he has... It's not dive, he has to go down. There is

contact. He has to go down. At that point they get the penalty. Or get a

penalty for being honest. It's hard for the referee. Catch 22. Indeed.

term. His place up front might come under threats with reports of a ?50

first two fixtures in the top flight since the year after you were born,

goal. A strong lad. He came on and would you believe it is the first

strength. Well done to him. I think Tony Pulis and West Brom deserve

credit for being hard to beat and well organised, which does not come

easily. They are always difficult to play games. I think he is unlucky

and I disagree with Sean Dyche. He does not take the arm away to hit

him with it, he is leading with it. You see it from another angle and I

do not think it is a red card. It is close. It is not a typical take your

arm back and whack. Even his forearm. He has not thrown it.

Referees get obsessed early in the season. Jonny Evans injured and

looks like he might go to Manchester City. That would be a blow to West

Brom? A huge blow. He has been a big part of how solid they are. For

Manchester City, it is good business. Burnley, not their best

day today. Not creating many chances. They are never

free-flowing. Not at their best but that is credit to West Brom.

feel as comfortable as probably they all suggest. It's nice to get the

three points. The timing of the two goals were very, sort of,

detrimental to our play, particularly the first one. It's a

learning curve for us. We've had two tough games. One against a very big

team at home and against a very good side away from home. We'll certainly

need to be better next game. We didn't let them have many chances, I

think. A couple of shots from the edge of the box. Nothing clinical.

No, it's a team effort today from strikers to defenders. Clean sheets

coming through the team. We got that today. If we keep clean sheets

between now and the end of the season we will win games. I was

should haved when Leicester signed Harry Maguire, I liked him at Hull,

but like him more at Leicester. Good signing, ?50 r15 million. ?15

million. I have seen a lot of signings. Leicester have one of the

best in terms of value-for-money. Great with his feet. He is like a

midfielder at times. What I enjoyed him most today, watching him, how he

did this. How comfortable he is driving forward, into the space.

He's got plenty of pressure on him there. He finds a beautiful pass out

to Mahrez. How is your touch? For a centre-half, it's one of those

things that you go, it's nothing. He is as light on his toes as they

come. He is always on the front foot. Winning the ball, constantly

putting Leicester on the front foot also. He can get aggressive. A big

lad as well. Too aggressive there. Wins the ball. Again, driving

forward into that midfield area. Finding a beautifully weighted pass

for Jamie Vardy who will enjoy playing with this lad. He goes by

people. So nimble. He topped off an unbelievable display with his first

goal. That was in a four. He has played in three where he you can go

out. The other plus, possibly a plus, depends which way you look at

it, the performance of Mahrez who was excellent today. He's one of

those players linked with a move. Roma made a couple of bids. He has

not been injured. He carried on and showed good attitude A refreshing

attitude. This I say this risking criticism, he's kind of too good for

Leicester now. No, no. No, no. He is. He is playing so well, with such

confidence. Such skill and creativity ability he needs a bigger

stage and play with better players to to see how good he can become. He

has had a fairytale at Leicester and they have done well and given him a

platform. He should be playing regularly in the Champions League

and showing us his talents. You agree deep down. We could fall out

here? He returned from pre-season. Showed the right attitude and

playing well for his team. OK. After losing at West Brom,

Bournemouth were back on home turf for the visit of Watford,

who opened up with a 3-3 draw All four top-flight meetings

between these two teams John Roder was at

the Vitality Stadium. COMMENTATOR: Norwegian international

Josh King scored in both 2-2 draws against Watford last season on his

way to giltering 16 goals for the campaign. Bournemouth searching for

very good. To prepare for the match Watford did everything I want. We

showed character again, very good attitude. In some moments very good

football. I thought we were very disappointing, to be honest.

Scratching my head as to why because, you know, I was expecting a

really good performance today and I liked the team I picked. That

didn't, you know, that didn't materialise. We're hugely

disappointed. It looked as though you and Richarlison are putting up a

nice partnership already, is that how you see it? Hopefully it can

continue. Seem to be on the same wave length today. He is a very tap

minded player and has the pace to get behind as well. Hopefully we can

keep causing people problems and winsome more games. Good start for

Marco Silva, five goals in two games. Looking good going forward?

of football they were watching in the second-half of the season,

especially. There seems to be a change in tactics, if you like.

the season brightly and Deeney. There seems to be in the last two

games more emphasis on getting men in the box. Three goals at home to

Liverpool, of course. Today, they had a lot of chances. They could

have scored more. They looked really dynamic. Richarlison, who was

refreshing to me, I didn't know too much about him. Wanted to take

people on. Got his rewards with the goal there. Really healthy start.

Certainly is. Interesting moment in the game when Chalobah let the ball

go. We might have an explanation. Here you go. We can laugh about it

now because they won 2-0, obviously. I'm pretty sure you can see that

Harry Arter screams "leave it, it's mine." It should be a foul. It

should be a foul. Chalobah is not entirely happy. Can you see the

funny side of it. You certainly can. Tough start for Bournemouth.

Crystal Palace travelled to Liverpool looking for a fourth

straight league win at Anfiel - a feat that's not been

achieved by any club since Arsenal back in 1935.

It is all changed for Liverpool with the Champions League play-offs

looming large. Sturridge Milner starting for the first time this

season as does new signing Robertson, Gomes, who comes in at

the back. Andros Townsend and Tomkins coming in for Crystal

Palace. Through ball towards Wijnaldum,

surging forward and a poor clearance by Wayne Hennessey. Lucky that Jason

Puncheon and then Millard J Vic -- Milivojevic were able to get the

ball away. Straight into the gloves of the Crystal Palace goalkeeper.

Nice play from Liverpool on the near side. I'm sure it has been an

intense week on the training pitch is for the Crystal Palace players.

Robertson makes the pass and continues his run. A nice idea from

Firmino. Gareth Southgate, England manager, in the crowd with the

former Liverpool manager. Wijnaldum was clearly held by Joel Ward. A

It is all Liverpool, but can they show more incisiveness in the final

third and forced the breakthrough? Robertson getting forward once more.

Plenty of that from him. At full stretch, Scott Dann puts it behind

for a corner, Liverpool's first of the game. Robertson, and Milner

wanted the ball back. Robertson's cross. Hitting the far post.

Firmino and brings the save from Hennessy. Milner cannot get the

scramble. In the end, it was an easy save. A rare flurry of excitement in

the Crystal Palace penalty area. You do not see many goalmouth scrambles

like that. James Milner. Solanke, through the centre. Does not quite

reach him. Mane was there. Liverpool lead with 18 minutes to go. Sadio

Mane scores for the second week running in the new season. Combining

with Robertson and Milivojevic with a bobble and a ricochet, which fell

in the path of Mane, who continued his opportunistic run into the

penalty area. Liverpool ahead.

The block made by Fosu-Mensah. It fell kindly for Robertson. That

would have kept up a fine debut for Robertson. Hennessy tipping it over

the crossbar. I love the goal we scored because it

was not our best. The ball was pretty much away and Solanke puts

his foot in. He can win the ball back and Mane was there. He is a

striker and you have to have a nose for these moments. They made changes

and some of the boys got a rest but the squad is good and anybody who

comes in can compete for place and we proved that today. It was

difficult but we managed to get the three points. You know you do not

get many chances when you come to Anfield but Benteke had a good one.

Yes, around 60 minutes, something like that, we had a good chance. You

do not get that many as you have already said. We have to punish them

at that moment and you want to score, but unluckily for us he

didn't. Missing a player is not good for anybody but for this moment not

to change. Like everything else, nothing changed. It is a club

decision, not mine. It is not important what I would say about it.

It is a club decision, they did it. At this moment he is not available

for us and that is all I can say. Coutinho has outgrown Liverpool? Do

you think? No. Another former Hull man made an impression, Robertson at

full-back. I was hoping they would go for a big game at left-back but

this lad had a debut that will be remembered a long time. His crossing

was fantastic. I remember one bat one he hit but the rest were on the

money. Liverpool should have been ahead. We have more touches than

anyone else on the pitch which says a lot for a left-back. Confident.

Got in these areas and produced good quality. We will see over the season

defensively what he is like. Sometimes he got isolated at Hull

and struggled but going forward, as good as I have seen. He made to run

after run. In the second half, he did not stop. What I liked, I

remember Patrice Evra at united did that come on the inside. Very

promising signs for Robertson. I am wondering how Hull went down. It is

interesting, the rotation. Five changes from the side who won in the

Champions League in the week and it almost backfired. It really did. The

result was huge for him but he will have to rotate the team throughout

the season. Crystal Palace, signs of improvement? Well-balanced today,

had a real go, could have gone a goal up with Benteke missing a

sitter. Better than last week. Thank you very much. Before we go, we can

look at the Premier League table. Manchester United and West Brom

maintained their 100% start while Watford, Liverpool and Southampton

are also unbeaten. Four teams have lost both matches. West Ham's

inferior goal difference means they probably table. The Sunday papers.

The Sunday express report that Barcelona are set to up their bid

for Liverpool's Coutinho to ?130 million. The Mail on Sunday say

Atletico Madrid are preparing a ?50 million move for Diego Costa.
