We begin our bank holiday weekend on the south coast.

Bournemouth have lost both games so far without scoring a goal.

Eddie Howe's side faced Manchester City, who came

from behind with ten men to snatch a draw against Everton on Monday.

The first Monday night football of the season. Manchester City against

Everton. What a way to bring up 200 Premier

League goals. A second yellow card. Kyle Walker is sent off. Danilo. Put

into the net by Sterling. Manchester City have found the equaliser.

Schneiderlin with the challenge. There is the yellow, there is the

red. What a game, so many talking points.

Probably not the opposition Bournemouth would have chosen as

they look for points. Manchester City wedding all four previous

Premier League encounters. Jermain Defoe makes his first start since

moving from Sunderland, one of three changes with Gosling and Tyrone

Mings coming into a reshuffled side. Benjamin Mendy makes his debut for

Manchester City. His former team-mates Bernardo Silva makes his

first start. Danilo and Raheem Sterling start and Kyle Walker is

suspended. Aguero is on the bench, along with John Stones.

Bournemouth have never beaten Manchester City.

Just the two draws. Defoe is in the middle with support from Adam Smith.

Gosling going pretty near. Andrew Surman back into the box and away by

David Silva. Good running by Gosling once more. Charlie Daniels! What a

goal. A fantastic strike from Charlie Daniels. Edison had no

chance of saving that. -- Edison. Bournemouth busy and lively, trying

to pick up loose pieces in and around the penalty area. Kept trying

to find an opening. Daniels with only one thing on his mind. At last,

Eddie Howe has something to smile about.

Advantage played by Mike Dean. Mings, nicely done. Space for

Gosling. Defoe and King in the middle with Daniels and support.

Kompany got his foot in there and Andrew Surman puts it in. Drilled

across the box by Smith. Bournemouth causing the problems in the final

third here, in the opening 20 minutes.

Free kick quickly taken by Jesus. Perfect pass, lovely finish. That

was brilliant from Manchester City. Straight down the centre of the

pitch. Look at this for a pass. Through the centre of the

Bournemouth defence. Almost midway through the first half, Manchester

City are level at 1-1. Unbeaten in ten in the league under Pep

Guardiola, and only lost twice in the league since the turn of the

year. Jesus complaining to the referee.

Nathan Ake under pressure. You can see his leg goes out and Jesus going

over it. That is why Mike Dean blew his whistle.

At full stretch. Jesus! It was a great chance for 2-1. Jesus this

time looks as if he shins the ball wide. Beautifully done by Bernardo

Silva. David Silva into De Bruyne. It is as though Manchester City have

started playing, going through the gears. They have such quality in

their team. David Silva. It would have been a spectacular goal.

Started with lovely play from Bernardo Silva.

A little bit loose. Here come Bournemouth. King! He slams it

against the post. Manchester City calls themselves a problem there.

Some sloppy play and Bournemouth almost able to take advantage of it.

Josh King was really unlucky. Manchester City with a dozen

attempts on goal this game but they have only managed to score from one.

Sergio Aguero. He has been quick to get involved in the place since

coming off the bench. Bournemouth cannot get out of their own half

here. Aguero to De Bruyne, trying to slide it through to Jesus. Blocked

in the end by Arter. De Bruyne's delivery. Otamendi with

a header. Off the post. In the end, it was an easy grab for Asmir

Begovic. What a relieved man he will be. Mendy, again, always available

on the near side. Here he is. Drilled in, gets away from Nathan

Ake. It was a chance for David Silva but he was challenged by Daniels.

Forward by Daniels. Afobe is lying on the ground. Manchester City are

moving forward. All of the bench screaming for play to be stopped.

Harry Arter has won it back. Clipped by Raheem Sterling. The pair of them

had words about 30 seconds, a minute ago. There has been banter between

the pair of them. Mendy sticks it back in on the head

of Daniels and Arter swings his left leg. Mendy under pressure from King,

who has got the better of him. Josh King has done well. Still going, he

goes for goal and the save is made by Ederson. Manchester City survive

an anxious moment. Lys Mousset cannot keep it clear of Otamendi.

Two players going down on the edge of the penalty area. Lys Mousset

wins it back. No, not by fair means. Suddenly it is all hands on deck for

Eddie Howe's team. Sterling plays it forward. Danilo into the Bournemouth

penalty area. Raheem Sterling. Manchester City have won it with the

last kick of the game! There is no time for Bournemouth to come back

from this. That is the goal that terms one point into three for

Manchester City. Bournemouth are stunned. Sterling lifting the ball

over Begovic into the far corner. And Bournemouth's defenders can only

stand and watch. And frustration and exile separation terms to joy on the

Manchester City bench. It looks like Sterling has maybe

been sent off here. Sterling, having had a yellow card, goes into the

crowd, having scored the goal for which he is booked by Mike Dean.

There goes the final whistle and what a dramatic finish to the match

on the south coast. Manchester City had the last laugh, the goal scored

by Raheem Sterling, who was then shown a red card before the match

could continue. Bournemouth left stunned. They have fallen at the

last. Three defeats to start the season.

What a remarkable end to the game. What do you make of that? It is

special when you win. It was confusing after the winning goal

with Raheem Sterling scoring and getting a second yellow card. I do

not understand. Today, sent off and the next game against Liverpool he

is not able to claim and I do not understand why, so hopefully they

can call me. I did not know that was a yellow card, so unfortunately we

will not have him in the next game with us. But that amazing goal in

the last minute. We are so happy for that and probably, if I was in his

situation, I would have celebrated the same way. Scored in the 97th

minute but there was only five minutes of added time so you will

have to ask the referee why we played an extra two minutes. In the

build-up towards the goal, there was a free kick which from my point of

view was a perfectly timed challenge. The second half was bitty

and we wanted that to be the case. It is more the decision I am

disappointed with, the foul against Lys Mousset, which I did not think

was. We are hugely disappointed but as these the performance.

It was a dramatic closing minute or so. So many controversies. Eddie

Howe feels aggrieved and I have to agree with him. I think Mike Dean

gets it wrong. I think it is a good tackle from Lys Mousset. Three yards

from the halfway line. I think that is a mistake. Look where Kompany

takes it from. 13 and a half yards from where it happen. Two things I

think he has got incorrect. The next thing that happens, nothing wrong

with the goal, a good build-up from Manchester City again. Raheem

Sterling gets punished for his celebration. We both know what it is

like to score a goal and score the winning goal in the last minute.

What I cannot tell you is that it is just impossible to think straight,

whatsoever. I have spoken to the referees tonight and they tell me

they have no choice. That is the letter of the law. We now scored the

winning goal in the last minute, let's grab the ball, compose our

thoughts, walk back to the halfway line and kick off again. Do me a

favour, please. It is an emotional game. Raheem Sterling is still on

the grass, two yards over the touchline. He knows he cannot do

that. By the letter of the law, Mike Dean should book seven Manchester

City players who have jumped on him. Mendy is gesticulating more than

anyone else. Do me a favour, man. That is the law.

After the match there was speculation surrounding Aguero and

his reaction. An alleged incident with the bourne ment steward. There

has been released a statement. "The club have been advised that due to a

misunderstanding an earlier statement alleging assault has been

withdrawn and no assault took place." That's Sergio seemingly off

the hook. It didn't look like he did anything wrong anyway. Back to the

game, the influence of De Bruyne in a different role. More of a holding

player this season, it seems? He played deeper. I was at the Etihad

on Monday, with City chasing the game, he was put back into the

deeper role, sensational in dictating the play. He is

influencing how Manchester City play. Because of the two Silvas

playing higher he's playing in a position where he receives the ball.

Everybody is in front of him. He has a range of pass, probably better

than most players in the Premier League. He can play the diagonal

when Mendy makes the run forward. Good speed of pass. Change in

redirection of the play for Manchester City. Sees the full-back

on the opposite side. 50, 60 yard pass, right on top of him. In this

role, I know Manchester City should look at this. Sterling lays it off.

He knows that Kevin De Bruyne can make the pass with the right speed,

weight. He doesn't have to break his style. City fans might be thinking

we need him further up the field. I think he is better utilised in this

are why. We saw this last season, the ability to put the ball into the

box in the right area. You are see a more complete midfield player.

Someone with more discipline. When he gets the ball, the four

Manchester City players know he has the range of pass to make the right

pass at the right moment. They are unning away from the ball. He didn't

execute that way well. You he has the quality. Hedictated the play.

More touches on the ball. A player getting better and better. When

Manchester City go forward they do so in numbers. Great to watch?

Absolutely. Bournemouth defending, particularly in the second-half,

they had to face this. Many teams will face this from Manchester City

this season. Four, five, at times six players ahead of the ball in the

final third. So many options. When a midfielder gets the ball at his feet

like that, picks his head up, you have six men ahead of the ball

there. I said, so many options to choose from. When the they attack

you like that, they cause you so many problems. This is the goal.

Quick thinking. It's a hell of a run. Just a brilliant weighted pass

from Silva. For someone so young, the way he pulls him to one side, to

create the pace space to run into. Worth a second look. Pulls him to

his left. Attacks the space. Great finish. Winning goal with 30 seconds

to go. Final third, look at the bodies they have forward. Five

players there looking to get into the box. Bournemouth did defend well

at times. It's the numbers that attack you. A little bit of luck

with the goal. On chances created, they probably deserved that

Manchester City. You had to feel a bit for Bournemouth, to lose the

last-ditch. They played so well. One thing they have got is certainly a

possible Goal of the Month. Even Goal of the Season contender. What a

goal. Goal of the Month without a shadow of the doubt watched it in

the green room. When it fell to Charlie Daniels I said cross it, do

not shot. That is an unbelievable strike. The Goal of the Month. He

will never hit a better one than that, will he? Bournemouth played

well. Eddie Howe disappointing first two games. They showed spirit and

cause City problems. If they continue like that, Eddie Howe will

have no problems. Stonker, that's for sure. Should have got a yellow

card for that. Don't start we will have everyone, all 22 players.

Manchester United have set the pace in the opening two weeks

Opponents Leicester got off the mark last weekend against Brighton.

COMMENTATOR: Six points out of six, eight goals scored and two clean

sheets. Impressive stats, Manchester United are off to a flyer. They look

the real deal, but Jose Mourinho is too long in the tooth to get carried

away and will expect a much sterner examination of their credentials

this evening. After all, Leicester's last Premier League title did come

much more recently than theirs. There is a change to the United XI.

Anthony Martial, goalscorer off the bench against West Ham and Swansea

preferred to Marcus Rashford. Three goals in two games for Romelu

Lukaku. The record signing scored four in Threlkeld against Leicester

last season. Wes Morgan, Harry Maguire and Jamie Vardy have

recovered from knocks. So Craig Shakespeare is able to name an

unchanged side for the third game in a row. Danny Simpson and Matty James

are products of the United Academy, the latter signed a new four-year

deal earlier today. Not only form, but history is firmly on United's

side. They completed a hat-trick of wins over Leicester last season. Not

since 1998 have the visitors left Old Trafford with all the points.

Blind. Blind. Having joy going through the middle because Leicester

have so many players there. When they got wide the crosses have been

poor. Missed by Morgan and Maguire. Lukaku. Schmeichel saves. Mata is

there, but he's offside. Well, the flag was swiftly raised. Lukaku

almost capitalised on poor defending by Morgan and Maguire. Mata there,

well is he offside as the shot is driven in? It was tight. Just

livened up the support, if nothing else. Martial, he might well have

got away from Simpson here. Simpson's mistake. Mkhitaryan.

Reached Lukaku. What a lovely ball that is to Martial. Running at

Simpson. Lovely ball. Arriving back post. Steering it wide was Pogba.

Pogba at full stretch. Just couldn't quite steer it in at the far-post.

Schmeichel was beaten. The biggest Manchester United supporter around,

Usain Bolt, the eight time Olympic gold medal. It was on his bucket

list to play one day for Manchester United. I know he has a bit of an

injury though. Valencia brought it down brilliantly. Mata, Lukaku.

Mata, again, and still. Mata! Fabulous save by Kasper Schmeichel.

Aerobatic, at full stretch. Mata denied. This is a save that his

father would have been proud of when he was between the sticks here

regularly for Manchester United. Mkhitaryan. Mkhitaryan.

Pogba. Is lines up the shot. Hits it well. Schmeichel walls flying across

his six-yard line there. Wasn't required in the end. Faded away at

the last moment. Mourinho knew this game would be a much sterner test

than thoses posed by West Ham and Swansea, so it's proving. Delicious

Leicester look to protect their penalty area, Pogba is taking it on

from distance. 22 goals have been scored between these two sides. 0-0

between Manchester United against Leicester here at Old Trafford was

in 1975. Pogba picked out Lukaku. Lukaku for Martial, now Matic.

The referee had a good view of that. Leicester furious that Michael

Oliver saw it as intentional. Romelu Lukaku now has a chance to extend

his impressive goalscoring start to his Manchester United career. No

other Manchester United player has ever scored in his first three

Premier League games for the club. And neither has Lukaku yet. It's a

great save from Kasper Schmeichel. Guessed correctly. Certainly moved

before the ball was struck. But there's no retake and Manchester

United's frustration this evening continues. Mkhitaryan. James

dispossessed him. Mahrez is up with Vardy. Left is Matty James. Here's

Jones across for Manchester United. Mahrez is free from Jones. It's

booted away by David de Gea. A warning sign there for Manchester

United, if they don't score themselves, Leicester might have a

Look at Mahrez to his right, completely free. The chance is still

on. Mahrez looks for it. Jones in the way. Valencia's clearance not

very far. Sliced wide by Ndidi. Delayed the pass to Mahrez. When it

did go right, it was not the best of balls. Mahrez had to cut infield

rather than take it in his stride and the chance had gone. Great cheer

today from the starting line-up. He gets his chance off the bench, Juan

Pogba's made the run. Rashford's gone for the return. He's in behind

for James. Maguire is there for Leicester with the block. Maguire

was swiftly over to nullify that threat. The outswinger from

Mkhitaryan. It's in. It would be Marcus Rashford, wouldn't it? Had to

sit and watch for the best part of 60 odd minutes, but within minutes

of coming on, Marcus Rashford gets his first goal of the season and

breaks the deadlock. Left alone by those in blue and sweeps it home.

Leicester's marking, for once, was poor. Rashford looks somewhat

surprised, but the shot was sufficient to beat Kasper

Schmeichel. Breakthrough for Jose. The 100% record might intact

afterall. Lingard has beaten the offside trap.

Lukaku waits on the edge. Lingard hasn't decided what he wants to do

this. Off Fellaini and in. The flag stays down. 2-0, Manchester United.

The points are safe. For a second or two there, time stood still.

Fabulous starting run by Lingard. Well found by Rashford. Lukaku hung

deep looking for the cut-back. Lingard paused and took his time. It

looked to me as though Fellaini was offside. Maybe Fuchs dropped in

behind him. Fellaini looked over his shoulder to make sure the flag had

stayed down. I think the manager had a quick glimpse as well. The goal

stands. Fellaini's first since march. Another goalscoring

substitute. Manchester United 2, lshg Olympic 0. Gray. -- Leicester

City 0. Grey. A good cross. King's effort saved by de Gea. The flag

stayed down. De Gea retains his clean sheet record of the season

with a very smart reflex stop to keep out Andy King. Three

consecutive clean sheets is very much intact with that stop from de

Gea. Lukaku somehow got the better of Maguire. Lukaku here. On his

weaker foot, and it's over the bar. Morgan did enough just to deflect it

over the frame of the goal. It's not going to be Lukaku's day. It's

Manchester United's day, though. Three wins out of three. Ten goals

scored and still none conceded. United go into the international

break top of You may you made a point saying this

was a squad and everybody would be involved. Marcus did not stop but

when you put him on he took his chance. Exactly. And it is a great

feeling for him and Marouane Fellaini because they want to play

and start and they are team players and that is important for the team,

with their qualities. It is difficult to get a run of games in a

team with such strength. It is something you have to deal with and

if we all react the way the substitutes have reacted today and

the previous games, happy days. We frustrated them for large parts of

the game. Key moments went their way. We had moments in the second

half but probably not enough but the plan was to frustrate and try to

counterattack and we did that for large parts, but we could not hang

in there. We came all that way, 60 minutes, 0-0, and then we cannot see

the -- we concede the set play and to do that was disappointing. What

is the feeling in the Manchester United dressing room about what you

can do this season? We do not want to think too far ahead but we know

what we are capable of doing and as long as we keep the game is

consistent. The performances matter, as well.

United are looking powerful on the pitch and on the bench. Scoring four

goals from the bench this season and only managing six that the entire of

last season. They have options are coming off the bench. Shakespeare

was right. He did frustrate Manchester United. And then bringing

always a threat in the box. Unfortunate to ricochet in there but

united probably deserved it. Pogba influence the game. The most

impressive thing, in the last ten minutes, against West Ham they

scored two, three against Swansea in the last ten minutes and one today.

That is what the great Manchester United teams always did, scored late

on and punish teams. Kasper Schmeichel, had a good game. Saving

more penalties at Old Trafford than Peter Schmeichel who bizarrely only

phase three in all the time he was there. He is two yards off the line,

it should have been retaken, according to the letter of the law.

You are such a stickler for the law. They also announced this week

Manchester United, slattern Ibrahimovic is coming back. Is that

a good thing? That is a good move, if he is going to be as fit as he

was last season, to have him in and around the youngsters, that is a

good move. He somehow made the save! It will

drop into Townsend. Anthony Knockaert.

Cleared away by Prodl. Ince. Early days of course,

but Newcastle and West Ham fans haven't had much to cheer

in their opening two games. Both sides were pointless

ahead of today's meeting The sense of unrest at St James'

Park is palpable against a background of perceived transfer

inactivity. Rafa Benitez himself articulated his frustration. Make it

as one change, Joselu makes his first start since moving from Stoke.

A bit cup win, the Hammers come here with genuine belief. Collins

replaces fonts. Lanzini is back on the bench.

Newcastle winning it back in a good area. It goes to Jocelyn and then to

Perez. Control let him down as it did indeed for Joe Hart. Momentary

encouragement for Newcastle. Slaven Bilic was talking up the levels of

performance last weekend at Southampton and against Cheltenham

Town in midweek. Richie. A good ball. Joselu waiting for movement

ahead of him. Headed away by Zabaleta.

The chant echoing over and again is Rafa Benitez.

Still not away by West Ham United. The shot goes over the top of the

bar. A presentable opening from Hayden. Definitely the best chance

in the match. Was this a foot up by Noble? Was it dangerous? The referee

said no. A distinct lack of quality at the moment in this game. Rice

under pressure from Richie. Marino, a good ball. He squares it.

Newcastle take the lead. Joselu has his first goal for Newcastle. The

first moment of quality in the game and it came after Rice was

dispossessed. Merino's pass. The gap opened up. Joselu, in front of

Declan Rice tried to atone for his error. That is a mood changer. That

is the sign of an excellent senior pro. Joe Hart comes up to the

teenager decked Bryson says come on, forget about it. -- comes up to the

teenager Declan Rice. It was a decent effort. Joe Hart hat

to stretches long frame to get to it.

Perez, nice touch to him from Joselu. Joe Hart just sticks out a

palm to get out of harm's wave. It is not completely over yet. Collins

does do so. Joselu played it well into the path of Perez and went for

the return. A dangerous ball in. Hart did well to get it away from

his goal. Creswell making yards. The shot was on target. Hernandez could

not quite turn it in and Elliott somehow made the save. Ciaran Clark

it stays at 1-0. Antonio muscled out of it by

Richie! Zabaleta is there to stop it coming to Joselu. After the

excellent work of Perez. Got beyond Noble and he was just trying to ease

Free kick, Newcastle. -- Kouachi. Richie again involved. The cross is

a good one. Newcastle are two clear and Ciaran Clark may well have

guaranteed their first win of the new season. It was all about the

persistence of Matt Ritchie. Linking the plane not once, not twice, but

three times. His cross was inch perfect. And Ciaran Clark got in

between Zabaleta and Collins and put the header into the corner of the

goal. Kouyate. Merino takes it away. The

ball is a sensible one towards Perez. It was blocked by Joe Hart.

Creswell on the slide and he is then caught. Since Newcastle went two up,

it could easily have become three. Mitrovic through on goal. It is

another timely block from Joe Hart. Perez. Onside, Mitrovic. 3-0,

Newcastle! They rode out the early storm. Lanzini came on and started

to pull the strings. But since then, they have got stronger and stronger.

Two seemed inevitably to become three. Mitrovic stayed onside.

Rounded Joe Hart and makes it 3-0 Newcastle.

One performance changes so many things. When you are losing, it is

different, when you are winning, everybody is happy. The way we won

with the team working hard and the fans enjoying every pass, is even

better. They pressed us high on the pitch. They forced... Even those

mistakes, it is not as if we gave the ball away easily but they were

on top of us. For any team coming up from the Championship it is a

challenge to raise the bar and get better because you cannot buy the 11

new players and we don't want to do that. The manager wants to add

quality to the group, but the lads here have to raise the levels and I

think today we did that and hopefully we can improve. I feel

very well because it is the first game for me in this amazing stadium

and also in the starting XI and the important thing is we win the three

points and also when I score the goals and we take the three points,

it is more important. Last week I was talking, mostly we were

disappointed but I was talking about the positives. This time no, we have

to admit they were simply better in everything. We did not deserve

anything today from this game. Strong words. Somebody is a happy

little Magpie. Take your mind off your poorly dressed. Both managers

were under pressure to get their first points of the season. I was

impressed with Newcastle. They went after West Ham from the start and I

mean they closed them down and went straight for them. They did not give

them any time to settle on the ball. They worked so hard. It really was a

good performance. He wanted him to pass and he closes it off and watch

how Richie closes down Declan Rice. He closes him down well. All of a

sudden you have bodies going into the defensive West Ham and you have

options. A lovely ball, and he did well to put it on a plate for Joselu

and his first goal for Newcastle. It was relentless from Newcastle. Look

at the effort to close down. OK, he does not get it, another defender

closes him. And then another one. That is what I mean by they went

after them. The fans of Newcastle will love this. He closes the

fullback down and they are on the attack. They already have one goal

from closing down and they get another. It is a brilliant ball in.

Puts it on a plate for Clark. Terrible defending from West Ham.

They do not win the ball here but they forced them to kick it long

which they are content to do and they win the header and again they

are all over the place, and Mitrovic one-on-one with the goalkeeper. 3-0

up, do you think they will take their foot off the Gas? No. It is

simple, yes. Hard work, yes, but you have to do that to get results and

they did it well. Just one negative we need to look at from Mitrovic,

who scored the third. Before that at 2-0, a moment of madness not seen by

the referee. It is a red card, nasty, violent. 2-0 up, cruising in

the game, I cannot understand it. Similar to our note of it last week

at Southampton. -- similar to Arnautovic. Leave your elbow. It is

dangerous play, violent and not needed on the football pitch.

Slaven Bilic under pressure. They had a decent end to the season. They

lost one of the last seven. Finished 11th. Yes, he's under pressure. But

you can't fire a manager after three or four games into the season. You

have to give a manager ten games at least. They need to bed into the

team as well. Review it after ten games. OK.

Swansea had yet to record a shot on target this season,

but still began the day with one point more than opponents

What a terrific challenge that is from Mike van der Hoorn. The

defender at full stretch to poke this ball away from Yohan Cabaye as

Ward. Benteke. Half cleared. It'll drop here to Townsend! Townsend puts

it wide. Well, it really did sit up very nicely there, just the wrong

side of the post. Problems mounting for frank de Boer, three matches

played in the Premier League, three defeats. To what extent is it fair

to say that Crystal Palace didn't really start playing until you were

2-0 down? No, it's good analysing. I just mentioned in the dressing room

after the game that we have to show some balls, you know, from the first

second. It wasn't the day for us, but we have to show courage. I think

overall in the game we were better in the first half than in the

second. In the second we were put under a lot of pressure by their

direct style. They went very direct second-half. We had to stand up to

that. Although I'm pleased with the performance, we can't get carried

awith this. We've got to get better an improve. Working with the manager

like Paul #k4re78ent, you have to look the a his CV and the clubs he

worked with. You are learning from the best. To come into a club like

this, that tries to play football the right way, it suits me and it

was a no brainer when I heard he was interested. Every game is the same

we want to win, we want to score goals. If you want to win, you have

to score goals. It's for everybody, for the team especially right now,

that you don't have poor runs. We didn't score a goal. We have to get

that confidence back and I'm sure we he have now two weeks to really

focus on Burnley. Lots of work to do. Great win for Swansea. We will

come to them shortly. Disastrous start really for Crystal Palace.

Perhaps not entirely unexpected in the sense that they are trying to

change a style? It's difficult for frank de Boer. He wants to play that

passing expansive football with a set of players that would prefer or

better suited to playing a more direct style. Against Huddersfield

they started playing passing football, went to long ball in the

second-half. They did the same, in the first half they were slow. They

didn't have the kourage a to pass the ball like frank de Boer said.

You realise going direct is better. Ball played in behind. Benteke plays

the ball. One person in the box, Townsend. The ball comes in.

Puncheon doesn't make the run. Gamble, too cautious in the first

half. They didn't cause Swansea problems. When they got into wide

areas and had people in the box, the quality was really poor. Townsend,

from this position, you think he will whip it into the box, he

doesn't, he overhits it. In the second-half, Crystal Palace just

improved. Why? They went direct. Players in the box. Challenging for

second balls. McA dhur and Puncheon going for the second ball. Benteke

doing what he does best, win headers and knock it down. Cabaye play it is

forward. Four Crystal Palace players on the front. Does he persevere with

the passing football that he wants to play? Or does he just go route

one, direct, until they get the points on the board? My concern here

is the fact, if he does change and perhaps play more direct, well, why

come in in the first place? It's a funny one. A difficult conundrum.

Think knew what his style was. They hired him for that. He wants the

ball down and play it there. You've got to get the players to understand

what he wants. You've got to get him understanding the players. The more

he works with them and understance them more. They have to find a happy

Happy medium makes medium. Sense. Encouraging win to for Swansea,

wasn't it? Four points, two away games. The whole Sigurdsson thing

happening. Sigurdsson Llorente. He wanted it more than he did. A hell

of a shot on target. Incredible. A hell of a finish for him. Off

suppose, they kind of like to pass it around as well. You can do that,

can't you, for those teams at that level of the table? Absolutely. You

have a manager who understand what is his players are. He has been

there for a month. He is learning his players. In the coming weeks

they will have to work on a lot of things. Going direct will be one of

them. Playing football also, as I said, a happy medium.

Britos is going. He was never going to get there. That is a horrible

one. Thank goodness the contact only seem to be slight. That is

premeditated. It is pretty, pretty stupid. I bet we will get to the end

of the season and we will still struggle to see a tackle more

ridiculous. Markus Suttner finds a way through

for Solly March. His ball in and it is against the pose. The same post

has been hit twice by Brighton. Hemed stayed in front of his marker.

Dale Stephens beaten to it by the -- by Doucoure. Did not look as

if he would have the chance, but that ball travels.

Gross will take the corner. Hemed got something on it. Anthony

Knockaert dipped his head. Did Doucoure raise his boot dangerously

high? Snooping. I am not sure that was overly dangerous from Doucoure.

The ball was there to be nicked. The curiosity of an indirect free kick

inside the penalty area. A very rare thing indeed. Lewis Dunk does hit

it. Deflected straightaway. A corner. You do not see indirect free

kicks often so worthy of clarification. The referee will

award one of those rather than a penalty if he does not feel there is

any particular contact or a player has been impeded.

All the way over to Anthony Knockaert. The goal was not vaping

for the Frenchman, but it was definitely open. The angle made it

awkward. It was neither a header on goal nor a header back to a

colleague. Davy Propper, better use of the ball this time. Knockaert

goes for goal and Gomez had to save it.

Brighton on the verge of making it three games without scoring a goal

to start the Premier League season. Only on 11 previous occasions has

that happened and interestingly, none of the teams to have done that

have ended up relegated. Izquierdo, what a good try. Gomez knew it was

wide. Positive play from Jose Izquierdo. Everything changed after

the red card. But we showed very good things in the match. Three

points, one point in this situation, looks more than one, really and this

is what we need to take from this match. They showed their quality,

Watford, and good pace on the counterattack. We had a lot of good

chances. A penalty that have been, and I can see why the referee made

the decision, but it is a penalty, he caught Anthony Knockaert. That

put together, disappointed we did not get the win. No win but the

first point for the season for Brighton. I have to start with what

influenced the game, a mental tackle from Britos. It was absolutely

crazy. This tackle is that bad, you will probably see it on Crimewatch

on Thursday evening. It was so bad, it was incredible. It was dirty. If

you could ban him longer than three games, you should do. When you see

the angle, he has the audacity to complain and to moan at the referee,

not this angle but the next one. This one. It is staggering. He is

lucky it did not cause more damage. He still does not want to go. Get

off the pitch, it is a disgusting challenge. For Brighton, Anthony

Knockaert played his first game of the season and he was Championship

Player of the Year last season and possibly best player on the pitch.

He was the person who looked likely to score the goal. Brighton, not

creating enough chances in the first three games. He played on the right,

he loves committing defenders. Fantastic, hit the post, keeper

beaten. Always a threat today. I agree with Chris Hughton, I think

they deserved the three points because this lad caused problems for

the Watford defence all day. They created a lot of chances and

probably should have done better with that header. Especially when

Izquierdo came on, their record signing, he was just as good on that

side, so a lot of positives for Chris Hughton. I did not think this

was a penalty. I think Doucoure won the ball and pulled his foot away.

Knockaert is going low and I think he pulled his head away. An indirect

free kick was the correct decision. They played well, Brighton, creating

chances. Newly promoted Huddersfield

were looking to win their first three games of a top flight season

for the first time since 1924. They went on to be

champions that year. Steve Wilson was at

the John Smith's Stadium. I would not say there has never been

a better time to be a Huddersfield Town thump you would have needed to

be around in the 20s to remember better. Aaron Mooy the talk of the

town after his super goal last weekend. Southampton, like

Huddersfield, are unchanged. Gabbiadini off and running after

breaking a goal drought after last week's win.

Opened up here and Redmond is onside. Right across the face of

goal. He did not look at all at those arriving in the middle. Tommy

Smith on the right side of the Huddersfield defence. Redmond

onside, went for the corner, and he missed.

The header is straight into the gloves of Fraser Forster. A

comfortable save for Fraser Forster. There is a gap if he can wriggle

through it. He has done brilliantly! He just could not put it away. Elias

Kachunga was in a good position. Mounie. Suddenly Southampton's goal

under pressure, almost under siege. Did really well. A good block. They

were not off the hook for long. Fraser Forster just managing to

snuff out the threat from Mounie. They certainly create a noise here.

Kachunga did well. Ince in the middle. An important block. Davis in

the way. A good piece of plague by Elias Kachunga. -- a good piece of

play. These two last met in a League 1

game in 2010. Southampton winning. Forster. An unconventional save from

Fraser Forster. Yoshida got himself into a mess. Tried his luck. Forster

had to stretch. He did well in the end.

Forster has made a hash of that. Elias Kachunga. A curling ball

curving away from the keeper but Forster got there. He should have

done better. The last two games of last season were at home. And the

first of this season. It is a long time since they have been on the

team bus. Gabbiadini. A chance. Very straight, too straight from

Gabbiadini. Must have been fearing the worst, the Danish goalkeeper. In

the end, a fairly routine save. Nicely done, Ince. He stayed on his

feet well. Blocked again by Yoshida. Ince. Deflection straight at

Forster. Long's ball is superb. Was he

caught? Nothing given. Kept inside the defender. He leaves his leg

hanging out. His right foot. I think he is looking for contact.

Ward-Prowse forward to Shane Long. Redmond and McQueen in the middle.

Nathan Redmond. A good save. Did not work him like enough will stop into

Smith. I think it was agent better 0-0 game

we saw today from both teams. Both teams wanted to win this game. They

had chances as well like we did in the first half. I was happy how

brave we were in the first half and that we pressed them high and went

in their face what we wanted to do. It was a tough game, really tough.

In the first half we could concede. In the second-half at the end we

could score. At the beginning of the first half we got two clear chances

from man-to-man with the goalkeeper. Before the game we knew it would be

a tough test. We know it was only going to be a football match today,

but a battle as wellful we stood up to the fight. It was important we

didn't lose the game even though I think we deserved to win it at the

end. Three games in a row in the Premier League. Three clean sheets.

Everybody knows how difficult it is to get clean sheets in the Premier

League. We are very proud what we've done so far. Indeed. Three clean

sheets in the first three games. They are the first team to do that,

newly-promoted team to do that, since Charlton in 1998. That is a

stagger achievement and seven points to boot. Magnificent start beating

Palace, beating Newcastle and getting a point today. It's... They

rode their luck a little bit today. Southampton had two or three big

chances which we'll show you. First first the first from Redmond here,

one-on-one. Got to hit the target at least. He doesn't. He doesn't get

away with it thin. A sitter this. Bertrand right at the end. Good ball

in, free header. Should go in the back of the net. They deserved that.

They will go into the international break, so happy and content having a

great They certainly with start. . Southampton they failed to score in

eight of their last 11 Premier League games. It's fairly obvious

where their problems lie? It's not as if they are not creating chances.
