the way that at 150 they picked it up. They certainly did, they came

:00:00.:00:00.

through. So the medallist in 2012 in this category in the front of the

:00:00.:00:10.

boat. He was just ahead of the pairing of Scofield and Heath that

:00:11.:00:15.

we see and Liam's birthday, he will be looking forward to coming out and

:00:16.:00:18.

giving himself a present of making it into the finals. It is extremely

:00:19.:00:24.

tight racing and that is what we'll see later the semifinals where it

:00:25.:00:28.

will really code. Neck and neck but what this bias crew did really well

:00:29.:00:33.

is they came through the pace, which we saw yesterday. They were slightly

:00:34.:00:40.

behind in the pace character and the paddle that can come through in the

:00:41.:00:47.

last 100 metres and can hold on in the last 20-10 metres towards the

:00:48.:00:51.

line is where it can be really lost. They pick up the maximum speed in

:00:52.:00:56.

the first 30 or 35 metres. Then it is a question of preventing

:00:57.:00:57.

Then it is a question of preventing deceleration.

:00:58.:00:59.

It isn't so much that the boat to get faster, the borders around you

:01:00.:01:04.

are slowing down. That happened with Carrington yesterday.

:01:05.:01:11.

But what can the British boat do? They must be a little concerned.

:01:12.:01:18.

Left behind a touch off the start, they were in it at halfway but then

:01:19.:01:22.

had nothing to respond to the Spaniards. Equally, they didn't give

:01:23.:01:30.

away a lot, they were right in a good position. I don't think they

:01:31.:01:34.

will be too concerned, it was very good times. They've been in this

:01:35.:01:42.

position before, they will be aware that that is what happens with the

:01:43.:01:48.

Spanish but in the 200 metre racing there is not a lot of reacting to

:01:49.:01:52.

what happens around you, it's just a matter of getting out very quick and

:01:53.:01:56.

then trying to keep that drive and that cadence at the same time.

:01:57.:02:02.

Trying to keep the tension out of the main muscle groups, the legs and

:02:03.:02:05.

the abdominals doing so much work, much more than most people

:02:06.:02:15.

appreciate. 0.37 of a second behind the winning time for the Spaniards.

:02:16.:02:27.

Well, there are the crews going through to the semis. But everyone

:02:28.:02:38.

who took part in the heats it through to the semis, slightly

:02:39.:02:44.

bizarre situation, only two crews from the semifinal making it through

:02:45.:02:49.

to the final. Lithuania a couple of moments ago. Great Britain in lane

:02:50.:02:53.

five, Heath and Schofield, bronze medallist from four years ago. They

:02:54.:02:57.

have to finish in the first three if they want a chance on improving on

:02:58.:03:01.

that. Away they go at the start and it's a good start from Heath and

:03:02.:03:05.

Schofield. They've got themselves in a very good position at the moment.

:03:06.:03:09.

Brazil going hard in lane six, trying to content. Schofield and

:03:10.:03:15.

Heath are still there, looking very good in lane five. This is more like

:03:16.:03:20.

it. Germany have moved up into second position as the Serbians drop

:03:21.:03:25.

away, rate Britain, Germany and Serbia are the 1-2- three. There

:03:26.:03:29.

will be no change, Great Britain take the win and a good run from

:03:30.:03:34.

Germany as well, Serbia started well but faded in the last half of the

:03:35.:03:43.

race. Heath and Schofield warmed up in the heats, produced something

:03:44.:03:47.

special in the semis. They have won themselves not only a place in the

:03:48.:03:50.

eight final but they will win themselves a decent lane as well.

:03:51.:03:56.

The wind has switched directions. We weren't expecting it to be faster

:03:57.:04:01.

than the heats. Fantastic performance, very commanding. It is

:04:02.:04:04.

something they are good at, getting off to a quick start. Making sure

:04:05.:04:11.

they can hold onto it. What a great performance. A lovely way for a Liam

:04:12.:04:20.

to enjoy his birthday. He can be very comfortable now and hang out

:04:21.:04:27.

again tomorrow. They will be in those middle lane draws. A great win

:04:28.:04:31.

in the semifinal for Jon Schofield and Liam Heath. Yes, Liam Heath and

:04:32.:04:38.

ex-student from Loughborough in the week, 20 of last brain these

:04:39.:04:43.

students out here, either working or competing, and their record goes on

:04:44.:04:48.

and on. Liam Heath at the front of the boat doing such good work early

:04:49.:04:54.

on to get the boat up to speed. Then the timing was perfect. Schofield

:04:55.:04:59.

just taking away, planting the blade fractionally early and Liam Heath

:05:00.:05:06.

and they have mastered the K2 discipline. Good result. They will

:05:07.:05:15.

analyse this result, have a look at it this evening, decide if any

:05:16.:05:20.

tweaking is required. In terms of recovery before Tamara's eight

:05:21.:05:29.

final. They are getting off at the moment but they will have a rest,

:05:30.:05:35.

get out of the heat, make sure they eat and drink plenty and then get

:05:36.:05:43.

ready for tomorrow. Liam, Jon, well done. You made a quick start and

:05:44.:05:47.

that seems to be what you guys are best at. Yes, we got a really good

:05:48.:05:51.

start out of the gates. That's really the leaving you think about

:05:52.:05:55.

going into the blocks, a solid connection and the rest just

:05:56.:05:58.

unfolded from there. Of course to win means that you get a good lane

:05:59.:06:02.

in the final. Absolutely but any lane in the final is a good lane! We

:06:03.:06:07.

get to race again tomorrow for medals and really looking forward to

:06:08.:06:11.

it. London was a fantastic performance but it said expectations

:06:12.:06:14.

up for a lot of people coming here. What were your expectations when you

:06:15.:06:19.

arrived? Arrived here? We just expected to go and give it

:06:20.:06:23.

everything we've got. A pretty good right now than we just did that and

:06:24.:06:28.

the 200 metres, especially K2, has developed so much further since four

:06:29.:06:32.

years ago, the times have been dropping and dropping every year, so

:06:33.:06:36.

it's an incredibly competitive field and great to be in the final. How

:06:37.:06:41.

easy is it to turn yourself around for the final tomorrow? No problem,

:06:42.:06:46.

you can't ask for any more motivation, can you? We didn't fully

:06:47.:06:49.

stretch ourselves in that semifinal, there's more to come, and we've got

:06:50.:06:53.

a good team back at the hotel ready to sort us out and around the bike

:06:54.:06:57.

is your birthday, Liam? It is, 32. What a way to spend it! It is, it's

:06:58.:07:08.

not really at the forefront of my mind, other things on my mind! But

:07:09.:07:18.

thanks. Happy birthday! Thank you. The graduation is.

:07:19.:07:21.

There you see Heath and Schofield qualifying through to the eight

:07:22.:07:35.

finals. They will get a decent draw and they will be on one side or the

:07:36.:07:42.

other of the Spanish and Lithuanians, having produced the

:07:43.:07:43.

fastest time in those semifinals. What a perfect way for Liam Heath to

:07:44.:07:51.

celebrate his birthday, powering into the final alongside John

:07:52.:07:55.

Schofield. At the birthday week will only be compete if they come away

:07:56.:08:01.

with top honours on Friday. Oh no, it's tomorrow, 1:47pm. It will be

:08:02.:08:06.

here on the BBC. We keep across that K2 100 metre final. That set things

:08:07.:08:14.

up very nicely for Great Britain's Rachel Cawthorn, who is going into

:08:15.:08:19.

K-1 500 metres. She was an Olympian in 2012 and she came sixth in the

:08:20.:08:25.

final. Unfortunately for her, 2012 was disrupted quite a lot by illness

:08:26.:08:29.

but she think she has come back even stronger from that. She has a hit to

:08:30.:08:34.

get through first, so let's see how she gets on, with Patrick and Alan.

:08:35.:08:41.

I'm sure the Polish team will keep half an eye on Lisa Carrington to

:08:42.:08:54.

say how she does. The black and white craft is Carrington's. Already

:08:55.:09:03.

establishing herself. She has a lead over those on the near side, but

:09:04.:09:08.

Emma Jorgensen of Denmark, who didn't finish the World Championship

:09:09.:09:16.

final, actually not looking too bad. A very solid start from her but will

:09:17.:09:20.

she be able to hold this pace all the way through? Look for the

:09:21.:09:27.

fluency of Carrington. It looks so easy, the blade going into the water

:09:28.:09:31.

is clean, as they come up to the halfway stage it is between New

:09:32.:09:36.

Zealand and Denmark. The first three going through to the semifinals. No

:09:37.:09:41.

opportunity to make it through to tomorrow's A final, and because of

:09:42.:09:45.

that I think Carrington will just take it nice and easy. A lane we

:09:46.:09:50.

should be looking at specifically with the technique? It is all about

:09:51.:09:56.

making sure you pull your body passed the blade rather than the

:09:57.:09:58.

other way round, pulling your blade to the body. That is when you get

:09:59.:10:02.

the connection and the real power comes. Carrington stretching out

:10:03.:10:08.

with that long reach. You want the whole blade coming in, that is

:10:09.:10:12.

really key. Carrington is just really extending her lead on the

:10:13.:10:23.

rest of the field. Showing her rotation on her hips which is also

:10:24.:10:27.

important, and also generating as much power from other parts of the

:10:28.:10:33.

body as well as the arms. Here comes Carrington, going through to the

:10:34.:10:38.

semis. Denmark wins with Jorgensen starting fast, Great Britain safely

:10:39.:10:43.

through and Portugal in a photo finish with Great Britain but that

:10:44.:10:47.

won't make too much difference. Rachel Cawthorn I think it can be

:10:48.:10:51.

reasonably satisfied but she has a taste of what she has to compete

:10:52.:10:55.

with if she wants to win a medal here. Carrington silky smooth off

:10:56.:10:59.

the start line and then just settled off the start line. I shouldn't

:11:00.:11:06.

think her pulse has gone over 120! She certainly looks very

:11:07.:11:10.

comfortable. She looked really comfortable on this water. She is

:11:11.:11:14.

the girl to beat. She is the girl of the moment and she will come up

:11:15.:11:19.

against tough competition from Kozak from Hungary who we will see going

:11:20.:11:26.

in the next hit. -- the next heat. When we see them all side-by-side, a

:11:27.:11:32.

real contrast in styles. Carrington sits nice and upright and you can

:11:33.:11:40.

see the back muscles and the lats coming into play. In the endurance

:11:41.:11:45.

events you have to have the injury and is in the arms. The training

:11:46.:11:49.

would be quite different to what we see over 1000 metres.

:11:50.:11:54.

Certainly looking at the contrast between the Dane and Carrington, you

:11:55.:12:01.

can see how much more pelvic rotation there was from Lisa

:12:02.:12:02.

Carrington. An absolute superstar in New

:12:03.:12:14.

Zealand. Totally dominated the K-1 200 metres at World Championship and

:12:15.:12:22.

Olympic level. We have only had two finals of K-1 at 200 metres and she

:12:23.:12:29.

has been in both of them. Not a bad turnout for the Canoe sprint today.

:12:30.:12:34.

The Brazilians continued to perform better than -- if the Brazilians

:12:35.:12:39.

continued to perform better than we are expecting, we will see a few

:12:40.:12:45.

packing in over the next few days. Here at the Lagoa Stadium.

:12:46.:12:53.

Rachel Cawthorn is through. Her kayak club will be happy about that.

:12:54.:13:05.

And a difficult draw alongside Lisa Carrington and Lisa Carrington

:13:06.:13:12.

started very, very fast. Cawthorne in lane two, has to get a good

:13:13.:13:17.

start. There you can see that GB are last to settle. Four years

:13:18.:13:25.

preparation. Can she take it one step further and make the Olympic A

:13:26.:13:34.

final. Lane five expected to bridges the fastest time over the first 50

:13:35.:13:36.

metres. They are under way and Osipenko with

:13:37.:13:48.

a very fast art indeed. The camera angle makes the ones on the near

:13:49.:13:51.

side always look like they're going faster, but a very good start.

:13:52.:13:58.

Cawthorne has pulled clear of Hartley of South Africa but is down

:13:59.:14:06.

in fourth position at the moment. Just the other side of Osipenko is

:14:07.:14:15.

Emily Caudal in second place. Really taking it out very strong, it's all

:14:16.:14:18.

going to be about what is happening behind her. On the left-hand side of

:14:19.:14:26.

her you have got Emily and then you have got the German athlete and

:14:27.:14:31.

Rachel Cawthorn in to be keeping has in the race at the moment. Fourth or

:14:32.:14:38.

fifth at the moment, the times through the checkpoint. A lot of

:14:39.:14:45.

work for Rachel Cawthorn to do in the last 1500 metres. Now Cawthorne

:14:46.:14:53.

starting to come into it but as she improves, so does the German

:14:54.:14:59.

athlete. Only two positions up for grabs unless this turns out to be

:15:00.:15:03.

the biggest semi but with the conditions we've got at the moment,

:15:04.:15:11.

I think that's unlikely. Cawthorne putting in a last-minute bid, she

:15:12.:15:17.

has got 100 metres or so to gain an automatic place and automatic

:15:18.:15:21.

litigation into the final. The German athlete wanting gold after

:15:22.:15:25.

the disappointment of yesterday, missing out by such a small margin

:15:26.:15:28.

in the race up against the Hungarians.

:15:29.:15:42.

Again, disappointment for the British women here at the canoe

:15:43.:15:50.

sprint. Ostapenko gets the win. Is it Portela through? Frenzy Webber

:15:51.:16:03.

got the win. -- Franzi Weber. The results from a third semifinal. Only

:16:04.:16:20.

two going through, for no Marengo -- Ponomarenko is in the B final.

:16:21.:16:28.

That's where Cawthorn will be. That will be a great climax to the

:16:29.:16:31.

moral's action. -- tomorrow's. What for years it has been for the

:16:32.:17:07.

great British women's hockey players. It has been quite the

:17:08.:17:13.

story. After the third place they got at London 2012, caught Danny

:17:14.:17:16.

Kerry became the team's performance director and in came Jason Lee who

:17:17.:17:21.

quit in 2014 after they finished 11 out of 12 in the World Cup. Back

:17:22.:17:25.

came Danny Kerry who guided England to Commonwealth silver in 2014, the

:17:26.:17:32.

same year, 2015 was better, they went on an incredible unbeaten run

:17:33.:17:36.

in the world league finals and then things took a turn for the worse in

:17:37.:17:41.

2016, coming fifth out of six in the champions Trophy on home turf in

:17:42.:17:47.

London. They have regrouped and here Rio 2016 and are the form team, six

:17:48.:17:52.

out of six wins so far, in the semifinals and most recently won 3-1

:17:53.:17:57.

against Spain. An incredible run with the ups and downs and different

:17:58.:18:00.

cultures. What is important is the team have stuck together which Clive

:18:01.:18:02.

Woodward was all about. I did three Olympic Games, the

:18:03.:18:14.

Beijing games, Vancouver and London. From the outside you see the smooth

:18:15.:18:19.

running ship but behind-the-scenes it is quite a complex business,

:18:20.:18:23.

especially when you're bringing 26 sports together as one team. The

:18:24.:18:28.

culture of all 26 is very different. It is not as simple as getting

:18:29.:18:31.

everyone in the room and giving their tracksuit and saying we're

:18:32.:18:35.

part of Team GB, you have to understand how every team functions

:18:36.:18:38.

and try and get everyone to work together. Beijing was my first

:18:39.:18:45.

Olympics and when I spoke to people like Ben Ainslie and Chris Hoy and

:18:46.:18:48.

Rebecca Adlington who had done several games, their knowledge was

:18:49.:18:54.

enormous. When you take a leadership position you can learn so much about

:18:55.:18:59.

your team. Do you approach different team sports differently in how to

:19:00.:19:03.

build the winning spirit? I don't think so, at the end of the day even

:19:04.:19:07.

the smaller teams if you take an athlete or diver, they tend to work

:19:08.:19:11.

together, Here is the sport. Is on so much. If every individual in a

:19:12.:19:18.

team stepped up to the plate to have a chance of being successful. In a

:19:19.:19:21.

team if one individual lets you down the entire thing can fall apart.

:19:22.:19:25.

Great teams are made of great individuals. It doesn't matter that

:19:26.:19:30.

is individual sports team sports. Everyone is pumped up and trying to

:19:31.:19:32.

improve with the chance of doing something quite special. How

:19:33.:19:38.

important is a leader within the team. I'm not speaking specifically

:19:39.:19:43.

about captains. Most of what did about leading teams if you don't get

:19:44.:19:48.

respect by being the leader, you get respect by quality of your actions

:19:49.:19:54.

and what you do. I am very clear I can learn a lot from every

:19:55.:19:57.

individual player. My demand is every player in the room contributes

:19:58.:20:04.

and inputs all of their thoughts and knowledge and what we're trying to

:20:05.:20:07.

do. My job as a leader is trying to disseminate that and work out the

:20:08.:20:13.

best way of doing it. The Olympics is such a complex environment to

:20:14.:20:18.

operate in, so many things can go wrong, there are distractions and so

:20:19.:20:21.

many things are excuses and you got to get them out of the way. And the

:20:22.:20:26.

pair for every eventuality -- prepare for the people want to look

:20:27.:20:30.

back and say we did not win because this happened and we weren't

:20:31.:20:35.

prepared. How do you plan for that level of pressure if you're someone

:20:36.:20:39.

like Michael Phelps, one of the people that everyone is looking at,

:20:40.:20:44.

Usain Bolt? You think through every single scenario but what you cannot

:20:45.:20:49.

do is get here and start doing it, this should have been done weeks,

:20:50.:20:53.

months, almost years, building up and going into a scenario, all the

:20:54.:20:59.

scenarios you can write down and discussing your team rooms and put

:21:00.:21:02.

them away and keep adding that eventually when you get here nothing

:21:03.:21:09.

can happen that will cause you any pressure or stress because you are

:21:10.:21:15.

prepared for it. You used to plan for the bus breaking down the way

:21:16.:21:18.

the World Cup. We arrived right on kick-off will we blame the bus? We

:21:19.:21:25.

still have to win. It is coachable but you cannot buying it in, it is

:21:26.:21:30.

true feeding of weeks, months and years. As Sir Clive was suggesting,

:21:31.:21:37.

you've got to stick together in the hard times and one person who has

:21:38.:21:43.

been through it all is captain Kate Richardson-Walsh, you might remember

:21:44.:21:46.

she took a stick to the face in 2012 and it broke her jaw, but still came

:21:47.:21:51.

back to lead the team to the bronze medal. She's been through those ups

:21:52.:21:55.

and downs and in that time she got married to her long-term partner

:21:56.:22:00.

Helen at became Britain's most capped female hockey player of

:22:01.:22:03.

all-time foods that there was talk of a retiring but she is here in Rio

:22:04.:22:08.

and if this will be her swansong she will lead it all out on the field.

:22:09.:22:17.

I've been in the senior team 17 years. I changed, the game has

:22:18.:22:26.

changed, up to Sydney we were wearing men's polo shirts and

:22:27.:22:30.

massive baggie skirts. It was a real trial to get us together because we

:22:31.:22:34.

were not a full-time programme there as you cut now, we are full-time, it

:22:35.:22:40.

is night and day. It is complete indifference to see the transition

:22:41.:22:47.

has been amazing. Ouch. London 2012 come broken jaw, heroic

:22:48.:22:52.

performances, tears, remind us of those experiences four years ago?

:22:53.:22:56.

When I look back to the London Olympics, it feels like I'm watching

:22:57.:23:00.

a movie and there is someone else in it, it is so real. The fracture my

:23:01.:23:03.

job it is the worst injury touch with that I've sustained. Tired of

:23:04.:23:09.

it in the first game of the home Olympics was the most unfortunate

:23:10.:23:11.

thing and I remember watching the team play Korea in a hospital bed I

:23:12.:23:17.

had my operation and I was so calm and proud because all of the work

:23:18.:23:22.

that we had done was on the pitch for me to what on TV. As soon as I

:23:23.:23:28.

was told I could rejoin the team we were going for this with our lives.

:23:29.:23:33.

It was an amazing two weeks. You're seen as money for the team? I am a

:23:34.:23:39.

mother hen. I care, as we all do, we spend so much time with each other

:23:40.:23:45.

and you become so involved that you really care about the person on the

:23:46.:23:48.

pitch and off the pitch and what goes around their life and their

:23:49.:23:53.

relationships. It is all part and parcel of caring for each other,

:23:54.:23:58.

which makes us tight as a group. Do you consider yourself an ambassador

:23:59.:24:02.

not just for Great Britain at Rocky in general? Absolutely. We know that

:24:03.:24:04.

the Olympics is a massive shop window and from hockey, a sport

:24:05.:24:09.

played by an enormous number of people but in terms of media

:24:10.:24:12.

coverage it is a minority sport, so we have to take this opportunity and

:24:13.:24:17.

grab it. We are 31 women, all different ages and backgrounds,

:24:18.:24:22.

likes and dislikes and we have a great range of role models to send

:24:23.:24:25.

out and say it doesn't matter if you're small or at all or whatever,

:24:26.:24:31.

you can play hockey and that is what we represent in the squad. The

:24:32.:24:35.

fourth Olympics, is it possible this might be the last one for you? Yes,

:24:36.:24:40.

I think it is time. People are fed up of me now. I just feel like it's

:24:41.:24:47.

come to a natural end. I'm 36, my body still feels really good and I'm

:24:48.:24:51.

still fit and loving it and I think there are challenges ahead for me

:24:52.:24:54.

but not it the international stage and is now I'm taking one day at a

:24:55.:24:59.

time, the old boring stuff, focusing on that and afterwards what will be

:25:00.:25:07.

will be. And what a day could be for Pete Richardson. She will lead to a

:25:08.:25:10.

Great Britain team into the semifinals this evening. 9pm on BBC

:25:11.:25:16.

One against New Zealand. A favourable draw in that after being

:25:17.:25:19.

so successful in the five stroke wins in the groups. Be there or be

:25:20.:25:28.

square. We will focus on the other semifinal featuring Olympic

:25:29.:25:30.

champions the Netherlands against Germany. It got underway a few

:25:31.:25:37.

moments ago. In the first quarter, believe it or not, the Germans went

:25:38.:25:41.

ahead. She shoots, she scores and Lisa Schultz of Germany. Sorry, the

:25:42.:25:50.

editor gave me that pun. Germany are ahead, leading by 1-0. We join the

:25:51.:25:55.

second quarter at the Olympic Stadium in Deodoro with the Germans

:25:56.:26:04.

still leading by 1-0. Commentators, the Netherlands are not done yet and

:26:05.:26:08.

they will come back strong. Nine World Championships they have one to

:26:09.:26:13.

date. Germany leads by 1-0. Milk will and Max Chilton are there.

:26:14.:26:21.

COMMENTATOR: The second quarterback to get

:26:22.:26:28.

underway after a longer than usual. What has happened here? One of the

:26:29.:26:32.

German players is going off before the quarter has even started. Annika

:26:33.:26:38.

Sprink, who hobbled off in the first quarter, has started on the field

:26:39.:26:43.

ready to play in the second quarter and then helped away from the match.

:26:44.:26:48.

I don't understand what happened. Maybe she went into the huddle after

:26:49.:26:54.

the quarter time and has maybe try to do some running and turning and

:26:55.:26:58.

clearly there is a instability in the knee joint. Work for the physios

:26:59.:27:02.

and doctors to do, whether we see her again today remains to be seen

:27:03.:27:06.

but you that does not spell the end of her tournament. I would think if

:27:07.:27:12.

she has been helped off twice that would be enough for the German team

:27:13.:27:19.

to say, no more for you. Good start to the second quarter for the

:27:20.:27:22.

Netherlands. They are a penalty corner as the ball flew off a German

:27:23.:27:31.

leg. It is the ball in, Belton does really well to get a touch on the

:27:32.:27:35.

reverse stick, you can see as Arous comes to make the save she kicks the

:27:36.:27:39.

ball with her right foot. Hopefully a better injection from Kitty

:27:40.:27:47.

Mangala van Gaal at this time. Look out for 16 and 13, those other

:27:48.:27:50.

players to watch at the set piece for the Netherlands, who trailed by

:27:51.:27:56.

1-0. Second penalty corner of the match for the Dutch. That is a great

:27:57.:28:06.

goal. Our beauty from Polman Dott Paumen. -- from Paumen. 1-1.

:28:07.:28:14.

Izagirre why she is regarded as the best drag flicker in the world and

:28:15.:28:19.

what I love is she is closing in on a 200 international goals and

:28:20.:28:21.

celebrates like it is her first. It is a ripper down the sick cosmic

:28:22.:28:26.

stick side of Kristina Reynolds who takes half a step to her left,

:28:27.:28:31.

probably beat her, the disguise she get generates on her corners is

:28:32.:28:35.

fantastic and one to try and model if you're trying to learn the skill.

:28:36.:28:39.

The driving force behind this Dutch team has got them back in it. The

:28:40.:28:44.

captain scores. The Dutch supporters on their feet celebrating. The

:28:45.:28:49.

Netherlands are right back in this Olympic semifinal.

:28:50.:28:54.

Aerial balls. Aim for Kitty van Male. The Dutch still have

:28:55.:29:31.

possession. Fast move. Pushing it down to Keetels, who drives it back

:29:32.:29:37.

in. But tackling from the German defence. Ellen Hoog was shaping up

:29:38.:29:43.

to swing at the ball but never got the chance. This looks promising for

:29:44.:29:55.

Germany. Teschke holds it up and waits for support, pushes it across.

:29:56.:29:59.

Acres of space. The Dutch run into each other, they collided on their

:30:00.:30:04.

way forward. But no serious damage done. I'm surprised Yana Cech the

:30:05.:30:11.

did not take on the final touch defender, she is quick in the German

:30:12.:30:16.

midfield. -- Dutch defender. She worked really hard, perhaps the one

:30:17.:30:19.

gritters is she doesn't really have a world-class shot at the end of it.

:30:20.:30:24.

But those are the chances of the Germans will win the game they must

:30:25.:30:25.

try and get an outcome out of it. Pulled back outside the circle now

:30:26.:31:07.

and the Germans can clean it up. Not for long, though! Good first touch

:31:08.:31:16.

as the ball was laid back. They have just given the ball away, but

:31:17.:31:19.

working really hard to give the ball back, both of these teams. Covering

:31:20.:31:27.

a lot of ground on the left for Germany, aerial ball, very nearly

:31:28.:31:41.

fell for them. Trying to steal bag possession for Germany through

:31:42.:31:55.

Stapenhorst. I think the key is discipline. You don't want to be

:31:56.:31:58.

down players when you play against anyone. The Dutch into the circle, a

:31:59.:32:09.

shooting opportunity. They need to blow the whistle and they have.

:32:10.:32:20.

Lorenz Downend in trouble. It's brave defending because the tackle

:32:21.:32:23.

has come in from what we call the wrong side. -- Lorenz down and in

:32:24.:32:37.

trouble. Sheet against huge blow, a swing and a miss from the Dutch

:32:38.:32:44.

player, Naomi van As. It's not a criticism of her at all but it looks

:32:45.:32:49.

as though she has got a cut to the head, possibly stitches required.

:32:50.:32:54.

Naomi van As is so difficult to stop because she is so strong. She does

:32:55.:32:57.

get clobbered with the follow-through. Absolutely no malice

:32:58.:33:01.

in that whatsoever and I'm sure a few ditches and she will be back on

:33:02.:33:03.

the field. -- a few stitches. The game should start with a bullied

:33:04.:33:26.

because they had to stop the game. German players pointing the finger

:33:27.:33:31.

at near me van As. The referee telling them what's what. I think

:33:32.:33:36.

they are accusing her of swinging deliberately at the player. Naomi

:33:37.:33:45.

van As just saying I think you need to give me the ball, which, to be

:33:46.:33:49.

fair to the Germans, I think that's what they're going to do. I think

:33:50.:33:58.

that's the right outcome. It can be an Olympic semifinal but

:33:59.:34:00.

sportsmanship has to take priority for both sides. Ten and a half

:34:01.:34:05.

minutes to half time, all square here. The Netherlands 1-1 Germany.

:34:06.:34:10.

Germany with a couple of injury concerns.

:34:11.:34:22.

Annika Spinka has gone off twice. That is good work from Naomi van As,

:34:23.:34:35.

able to get into some open space. Stolen by the Dutch, Jonker with a

:34:36.:34:46.

chance to turn and shoot but the whistle-blowers. There is a card,

:34:47.:34:53.

number 17 for Germany, she has got a green card. Jana Teschke. Germany

:34:54.:35:06.

with two on the injury list and one on the sin bin bench, slightly

:35:07.:35:18.

depleted at the moment. Jonker has just taken an absolute rocket from

:35:19.:35:24.

Julia Muller and she is in Axa league agony. Some -- it had hit her

:35:25.:35:31.

on the zero and glove hand. She has the medics around her on the Dutch

:35:32.:35:36.

bench. The physicality of this sport never ceases to amaze me. The way

:35:37.:35:42.

that the players fall and bounce back up. It puts football to shame,

:35:43.:35:50.

sometimes. I think it puts a lot of sports to shame, not just football.

:35:51.:35:57.

Well, maybe football! Fluidly, and I'm 100 ascent with you on that one.

:35:58.:36:09.

Naomi van As drags it back, elegant running. Deceptively quick. Oh! That

:36:10.:36:30.

was not far-away. Pushed forward but behind harmlessly enough. So,

:36:31.:36:34.

Germany will get the free hit just in front of their circle.

:36:35.:36:52.

Janne Muller-Wieland Find a bit of space and plays it down the line,

:36:53.:37:03.

looking for Cecile Pieper. It has certainly been a more

:37:04.:37:12.

dominant performance by the Dutch in this quarter. Van As, to the line,

:37:13.:37:22.

on she goes, looking for a way past Kristina Reynolds. Can't find one

:37:23.:37:26.

yet. It's a fantastic run by Naomi van

:37:27.:37:39.

As, but really well played by the German defender, Kristina Reynolds

:37:40.:37:44.

did really well to react to that deflection.

:37:45.:38:00.

Well, the Dutch supporters outnumber the Germans by about three to one

:38:01.:38:07.

here this afternoon. They are making their presence felt at the moment.

:38:08.:38:15.

Ellen Hoog manages to get herself out of a city situation. Willemijn

:38:16.:38:34.

Bos sends it up but sadly the past didn't work. She needed to turn her

:38:35.:38:38.

body, regardless of whether the ball was bouncing or not she would have

:38:39.:38:39.

expected to drop it. Anne Schroder spreads it right, back

:38:40.:39:19.

to Schroder now. Good turn from Hauke, back to Muller-Wieland.

:39:20.:39:26.

Centre on its way and run out of play eventually by Germany. The

:39:27.:39:31.

Dutch will once again re-gain their shape and build from the back and it

:39:32.:39:38.

was the start of something decent looking for the Netherlands, as

:39:39.:39:45.

Teschke pigs or Dublin midfielder Germany. I think the problem the

:39:46.:39:48.

German coach has got is that both the injuries are to defenders. At

:39:49.:39:53.

the moment he is playing Jana Teschke as a left defender, she is

:39:54.:39:58.

normally a midfielder and she is quality. Potentially the Germans are

:39:59.:40:02.

weaker in one line because they are trying to strengthen in another one.

:40:03.:40:18.

This is once again in courage in four of the Netherlands, it is off a

:40:19.:40:30.

German foot, simply rolled back towards a German defender and the

:40:31.:40:33.

penalty corner is awarded, the third of the match for the Dutch and

:40:34.:40:37.

remember how devastating they were with the first one. A second penalty

:40:38.:40:45.

corner attempt, they will be hoping for a replication of that now. So

:40:46.:41:03.

difficult to defend Lidewij Welten. Bos is on the right-hand side of

:41:04.:41:11.

Dutch corner routine. Oh! What a save that time from Kristina

:41:12.:41:14.

Reynolds. Superb goalkeeping after Maartje Paumen's dry flick.

:41:15.:41:32.

Maartje Paumen trying to put it in the top corner and it is a massive

:41:33.:41:36.

glove saved by Kristina Reynolds. That has to give her a lot of

:41:37.:41:41.

confidence after the start of the quarter. She will be disappointed

:41:42.:41:45.

not to put that one on target. That's one of the best saves we've

:41:46.:41:48.

seen all tournament from Kristina Reynolds in the German goal. The

:41:49.:41:52.

Netherlands 1-1 Germany. Under four minutes to half-time in this

:41:53.:41:58.

Olympics semifinal. The good news for the Dutch is that Jonker is now

:41:59.:42:10.

back on the field, the blow she took doesn't appear to have broken any

:42:11.:42:24.

bones. Kelly Jonker number ten. Pieper On the left, for Germany. The

:42:25.:42:29.

German men played in all Black yesterday and were thumped by

:42:30.:42:34.

Argentina. Probably a better choice of strip for the women's side today

:42:35.:42:40.

to go for the white, cooler Kyla, in the hot mid-afternoon sun. The

:42:41.:42:46.

temperature in Rio is in the mid-30s. -- the cooler colour.

:42:47.:43:02.

Germany on their way. Laid back inside by Schutze. A bit unlike you

:43:03.:43:08.

there, she was bouncing the ball nicely into the turf. Into the

:43:09.:43:12.

circle and it was narrowly missed by the German attack. It was Charlotte

:43:13.:43:24.

Stapenhorst who held out her stick hoping for a touch. Meanwhile the

:43:25.:43:31.

Dutch break-up to the halfway line. Lisa Altenburg now shown the green

:43:32.:43:36.

card, another two minutes for a German player on the side. I think

:43:37.:43:39.

they need to try and eradicate these petulant cards. I think Hoog will be

:43:40.:43:48.

better sheep -- disappointed she didn't do better with that, taking

:43:49.:43:53.

it out of the sky. She forgot to do the first bit.

:43:54.:44:00.

Little break, falling nicely for van Male. The whistle has done, it will

:44:01.:44:15.

be Holland's free kit. -- free hit. Ellen Hoog standing over the circle.

:44:16.:44:21.

Driven in now, well watched, well read and well cleared by Julia

:44:22.:44:31.

Muller. So good to see her back on the international scene, she's been

:44:32.:44:34.

plagued by injuries for the last 12 months. Predominantly hamstring

:44:35.:44:39.

problems that have kept her out of a number of tournaments but it is

:44:40.:44:44.

great to see her back, she's got so much experience particularly in

:44:45.:44:47.

these situations that she can lend to some of the younger players. Into

:44:48.:44:54.

the final minute of the first half, 1-1 the scoreline, the Netherlands

:44:55.:45:03.

in possession, with van As, who just runs out of hockey field and takes

:45:04.:45:09.

it onto the green. Running repairs going on and discussions under way

:45:10.:45:10.

on the Dutch bench. Now I think all 22 players currently

:45:11.:45:26.

on the field, plus all the subs, will be happy to get off the field

:45:27.:45:31.

of play and on to somewhere cool. There is 15 seconds on the clock,

:45:32.:45:32.

the Dutch could strike again. Nike Lorenz is back on the field,

:45:33.:45:45.

she is literally on for the last 15 seconds of the half. And the

:45:46.:45:52.

half-time hooter sounds. An entertaining, compelling first 30

:45:53.:45:57.

minutes of hockey here De Gea adorable Olympic Hockey Centre. And

:45:58.:46:01.

the first women's Olympics a final is all square at half-time.

:46:02.:46:06.

I told you the Dutch were not done, they trailed in the second quarter

:46:07.:46:15.

but are back level. We'll be back with the match and second-half a bit

:46:16.:46:20.

later right here on BBC Four. Stay tuned for that and remind you, Great

:46:21.:46:26.

Britain going against Zealand later tonight. --

:46:27.:46:30.

that's the right badminton that I let's speak about badminton. In the

:46:31.:46:39.

men's singles he will have to do it the hard way to get into even the

:46:40.:46:43.

semifinal. First let's bring up-to-date with the quarterfinal

:46:44.:46:45.

line-up because we now have three of our semifinalists. We showed you a

:46:46.:46:51.

couple of them at the top of the programme. Chimelong of China is

:46:52.:46:55.

also through to the last four, beating Sun Man hope of Korea 2-1.

:46:56.:47:08.

He seems pretty happy. Chimelong goes through the semifinals of the

:47:09.:47:15.

men's singles at review 2016. -- Rio. Chimelong will take on the

:47:16.:47:20.

winner of Rajiv Ouseph and Victor axles of Denmark. I told you you

:47:21.:47:25.

have to do it the hard way, if we go live to Riocentro we can see Rajiv

:47:26.:47:29.

Ouseph lost the first game of his quarterfinal and was however

:47:30.:47:36.

hammered 21-12 in that first game. It is a bit tighter in the second

:47:37.:47:43.

game right now. Bousses hoping to come back -- Rajiv Ouseph hoping to

:47:44.:47:47.

come back. This matches live on BBC One right now if you want to see how

:47:48.:47:50.

Great Britain but about badminton hope gets on. -- Great Britain's

:47:51.:47:59.

badminton hope. At the top of the programme we spoke about women's

:48:00.:48:05.

golf, the first ground after 100 years got underway this morning.

:48:06.:48:08.

This afternoon back in the UK. It is a Korean that is tearing up the

:48:09.:48:15.

leaderboard. In the park of South Korea are multiple major winner is

:48:16.:48:19.

share of the lead on the Olympic golf course. That was one of her

:48:20.:48:23.

birdies, sharing the lead with Carlota Ciganda of Spain. She is

:48:24.:48:28.

doing well at the top of the leaderboard. At the very top of the

:48:29.:48:33.

programme we showed you Catriona Matthew got around underway early

:48:34.:48:39.

this morning. She ended the day on level par, so is still in it. She

:48:40.:48:45.

will not be happy about that part but afterwards she got up David

:48:46.:48:49.

McDaid. That level par round, give us your thoughts? A bit

:48:50.:48:54.

disappointed. A lot of chances in the back nine, a silly three putt

:48:55.:48:58.

from a bogey and I wanted to try and get in a couple more birdies. Did

:48:59.:49:02.

not have the greatest start, double on the one good to come back and I'm

:49:03.:49:10.

not out of it. At the moment for under is top in the leaderboard,

:49:11.:49:16.

given the way it is that is not insurmountable? Bill, the one they

:49:17.:49:19.

are pleased with is I'm not out of it, you don't want to bore yourself

:49:20.:49:22.

out of it after the first ground. Good range tomorrow and you're back

:49:23.:49:26.

in. You coming here with good form, I take it you're confident you can

:49:27.:49:30.

improve on that score today? Definitely. I just need to drive it

:49:31.:49:34.

better and get a few more putts and I will get it under par. I hear a

:49:35.:49:39.

report about alligators comedians see any? Not today, no. Thank you.

:49:40.:49:47.

Let's show you some live golf here on BBC Four. We told you park and

:49:48.:49:51.

Ciganda leading the way in the women's competition. Great Britain's

:49:52.:49:57.

Charley Hull is still out on the course. Let's join a live action in

:49:58.:50:03.

the company of Brandon Telfer and Alan Wilkins.

:50:04.:50:08.

Keep having to duck and weave out of the way of the ball. And the front

:50:09.:50:15.

of the terraced seating that has been erected around 18th green. This

:50:16.:50:22.

is Australia's player with her shirt -- surge shot to ten. This has a

:50:23.:50:30.

real chance. Just checking up, tap in birdie on ten.

:50:31.:50:42.

She has not put a foot wrong today, a 5-iron used by Park. This chasing

:50:43.:50:52.

Joao Oliva. She will have that for 6-under.

:50:53.:51:01.

The shortfall Lexi Thompson on 13. 400 yard par-4.

:51:02.:51:19.

Just finishing a couple of feet from the bunker, but it is fine there.

:51:20.:51:53.

She wanted more out of that. But she is safely on. Has been the

:51:54.:52:08.

personification of steadiness today. Just the one bogey at the 11th.

:52:09.:52:17.

Here on the 14th, 169 metres, 185 yards. She is 1-under. Germany plus

:52:18.:52:25.

the Caroline Masson just finished with a 69. Pat Lam from Thailand,

:52:26.:52:32.

71. That will chase on. Just coming up a

:52:33.:52:49.

little short. Has a good pace. Just in the jaws,

:52:50.:53:21.

unfortunately, but she stays at 3-under. Hello. I didn't think she

:53:22.:53:35.

had the ball the first time, she just meant to tap it in. Let's look

:53:36.:53:45.

at this again. Definitely moved. That is an extra shot she has taken,

:53:46.:53:50.

obviously, just to casual walking up and tapping it in. Just nudged the

:53:51.:54:00.

ball. An easy mistake to make if you are not concentrating. You don't

:54:01.:54:08.

expect to see it at this level. That was a 3-putt green for the Moura,

:54:09.:54:13.

sadly. She has had eight straight pars on

:54:14.:54:32.

the back nine. Began with three birdies and picked up another on

:54:33.:54:38.

nine and then it's straight pars. Another model of consistency. The

:54:39.:54:49.

vehicle now -- Olivia Cole -- Lydia Coe.

:54:50.:55:05.

She needed that. After those early bogeys she gets her first birdie of

:55:06.:55:13.

the round and is back to plus one. The seventh, Stacy Lewis from the

:55:14.:55:37.

USA. Second shot for the American Comanche is 1-over par. 411 yards on

:55:38.:55:46.

this par-4, the wind is getting quite gusty. Sit, she says. She has

:55:47.:55:55.

caught all of that. Back of the green. There is no trouble there,

:55:56.:56:00.

did not take off like some balls do when they hit these hard greens.

:56:01.:56:06.

Anna Nordqvist for birdie on six. She is having a decent time just

:56:07.:56:11.

now. Gerina Piller from the US on the

:56:12.:56:35.

14th. Having just bogeyed 13, started

:56:36.:56:53.

homeward nine with consecutive birdies on ten and 11. This for

:56:54.:57:03.

birdie to get back to under. She has had a good rap at that as well. I

:57:04.:57:12.

think Nordqvist was a par on the sixth, Nordqvist is to under. This

:57:13.:57:23.

is the 16th, Gabrielle Albon of Switzerland.

:57:24.:57:29.

Speak to the ball and it will behave.

:57:30.:57:40.

Long birdie from Munoz, which will get her to a share of the lead at

:57:41.:57:55.

5-under. Currently held by Lindy Park.

:57:56.:58:16.

Lexi Thompson in the sand on 30. That is her second, she did well

:58:17.:58:54.

there. Just about pin high. She is on the dance floor. She wasn't

:58:55.:59:07.

bothered greatly by that lip and using her strength and distance to

:59:08.:59:12.

get it the green on the 400 yard par-4.

:59:13.:59:16.

Suzann Pettersen on 13. She is back to level par. Cannot get a good

:59:17.:59:48.

round going, that is her second shot on giving herself a good chance for

:59:49.:59:49.

birdie to get back to 1-under. Just call that. She was almost

:59:50.:00:30.

pulling down on the back swing. Was it some kind of distraction? She

:00:31.:00:35.

pulled out on the backswing. That takes some doing! Not sure Tiger

:00:36.:00:42.

Woods could do it! Charley Hull, she is just rippling with energy. And

:00:43.:00:59.

she gives it a good rip. Now, Candie Kung, can she break this run of

:01:00.:01:04.

eight straight pars on the back nine by finishing with a birdie? Gotze

:01:05.:01:13.

hurry. She's got some work to do now for her par. The 17th, the par-3.

:01:14.:01:24.

Birdie putt, that should be enough for her par. So, right now the low

:01:25.:01:37.

round is Nicole Broch Larsen. And this is Candie Kung, also for a 67.

:01:38.:01:47.

Well done, Candie Kung. Nine pars on the back nine and all her action

:01:48.:01:51.

came on the back nine but at the end of the day she is right there in

:01:52.:01:55.

contention, near the top of the leaderboard with a 67. I don't think

:01:56.:02:00.

there will be too many scores lower than that today. There might be one

:02:01.:02:06.

or two. Inbee Park and Carlota Ciganda with a chance of getting

:02:07.:02:11.

under that score. She is the joint clubhouse leader. Four birdies. The

:02:12.:02:36.

second shot to nine. -- X here as a team leader with the two Korean

:02:37.:02:49.

players. Azahara Munoz on 15. She is back to 3-under par. She bogeyed the

:02:50.:02:55.

11th but she has made three straight past since then. The back nine is

:02:56.:03:00.

proving a little more difficult with the wind picking up. As we saw that

:03:01.:03:08.

same pattern with the men. There were quite safe you, 31 36s. We seen

:03:09.:03:18.

a feud today. In fact two of them. The 15th, going with the 3-wood,

:03:19.:03:27.

Pelle of the United States. Into that sandy wasteland she goes.

:03:28.:03:52.

It is just rough. Now, Lexi Thompson.

:03:53.:04:12.

No, no, no. Way short. We have got two 67s in the clubhouse. Candie

:04:13.:04:25.

Kung of Chinese Taipei and Nicole Broch Larsen of Denmark. Both of

:04:26.:04:37.

them were 31-36s. Carlota Ciganda with a chance to just edged ahead,

:04:38.:04:41.

slipped ahead of Inbee Park. Get to 6-under.

:04:42.:04:49.

Three birdies and an eagle today, the rest pars.

:04:50.:05:06.

As she got it? Yes! What a putt. A fighting putt. What a way to get to

:05:07.:05:14.

6-under. Suzann Pettersen, for birdie on 13.

:05:15.:05:28.

Is it going to move? It will, a touch. Too late. Just a little too

:05:29.:05:36.

late. So we have an outright leader in Carlota Ciganda at 6-under par.

:05:37.:05:44.

Can someone get to 7-under or 8-under like we saw on the opening

:05:45.:05:50.

day of the men's? To get back to 2-over par. Battling on this back

:05:51.:05:55.

nine. I think you saw a lot are birdies on 17 and 18 last week? 16,

:05:56.:06:04.

17 and 18? Yes. Birdie putt for Yang. Yes. But that wind picking up

:06:05.:06:15.

makes the 18th very difficult. Let's go to seven, Charley Hull. 184 yards

:06:16.:06:23.

to the hole. Charley Hull, her second. She has done well. Was

:06:24.:06:30.

hoping that that win, with the right to left on the flag, you can see it

:06:31.:06:38.

there, would have helped. A bit of danger with that bunker but she is

:06:39.:06:48.

fine. Anna Nordqvist. Going along quietly but efficiently today at two

:06:49.:06:49.

under. Now, Lexi Thompson, who overcooked

:06:50.:07:19.

that previous putt, now has this one coming back for par.

:07:20.:07:36.

Yes, nice putt. 32nd in the US Open was her best result in a major so

:07:37.:07:45.

far. There is still one to go of course, the heavy -- the Evian.

:07:46.:07:52.

Gerina Piller. Now to the 15th. Inbee Park in a

:07:53.:08:25.

very good position here to have a crack at that flag. 214 yards. A

:08:26.:08:38.

nice, controlled wedge shot. Just a little more of a pause at the top of

:08:39.:08:43.

her backswing than there was in the early part of the round.

:08:44.:08:48.

Is it going to come back? Trying to. It's just a different calculation

:08:49.:09:06.

now, with the swing -- with the wind getting up.

:09:07.:09:11.

She is 3-under par stop she was four under at one stage, but that then --

:09:12.:09:34.

but then that bogey came at 11. The pin is just over that right-hand

:09:35.:09:38.

side of the bunker on the left of the green, you can see. Oh! That has

:09:39.:09:49.

come up well short. A little mistake there from Munoz.

:09:50.:09:55.

The Spaniard not happy with that shipped to the green. Her

:09:56.:10:01.

compatriot, Carlota Ciganda, still leading the way down at the Olympic

:10:02.:10:05.

course. If you want to stay with the golf, head over to the Red Button.

:10:06.:10:11.

enough, you can download the BBC Sport app, where you can set up life

:10:53.:10:56.

event reminders so you can follow all your favourite sports. And you

:10:57.:11:01.

know what? I've had so much reaction on social media from people watching

:11:02.:11:05.

this coverage to all of the different ways but also because of

:11:06.:11:09.

how Great Britain's gymnasts have performed here in Rio, if you don't

:11:10.:11:14.

mind showing us that building over there, the red and white gymnastics

:11:15.:11:19.

arena, very happy to say I've been joined by a couple of them and the

:11:20.:11:24.

future of British gymnastics is standing here, bronze medallists Amy

:11:25.:11:28.

Tinkler and Nile Wilson. Show them the bronze, guys! Hold it high and

:11:29.:11:33.

hold it proud. Incredible. Amy, we will come to you first. You hold

:11:34.:11:40.

onto that one! With your big guns, you need to answer that one! Amy, it

:11:41.:11:44.

has been said many a time, the youngest member of the Team GB

:11:45.:11:47.

squared and you come away with a bronze medal, yesterday must just

:11:48.:11:52.

have been the best day of your life? Yeah, it was incredible. I didn't

:11:53.:11:55.

even expect to make the final coming into this so to make the final and

:11:56.:12:01.

get a medal is incredible. Looking at your routine, I'm not sure if

:12:02.:12:05.

you've seen it back here, but you are experienced on a national stage,

:12:06.:12:09.

you've been with the elite guys and senior guys for some time now, but

:12:10.:12:13.

to go out there and perform at your first Olympics with such pizzazz and

:12:14.:12:19.

such confidence... Yeah, I mean, my coaches just told me I had nothing

:12:20.:12:23.

to lose and go out and enjoy it and I've worked for it hard and enjoy my

:12:24.:12:27.

sport. That's what I did. I couldn't have done any better. You had a bit

:12:28.:12:33.

of a wait before you had got the Gold Medal. You were in position but

:12:34.:12:36.

how hard is it when you're watching the other girls go up and do their

:12:37.:12:42.

routines. Were you thinking, my goodness me, I could come away with

:12:43.:12:46.

a medal? There were tears, Amy, there were tears! Literally those

:12:47.:12:54.

ten minutes felt like ten hours. It was so emotional, it was the relief,

:12:55.:13:03.

I was happy, it was so crazy. Nile, you did the very same thing. Was it

:13:04.:13:09.

as crazy for you? Yeah! It has been an incredible week for British

:13:10.:13:14.

gymnastics. Seven medals in total, surpassing any expectations. I find

:13:15.:13:19.

it quite challenging, competing in the all-around on Wednesday with

:13:20.:13:22.

Macs and then having to wait nearly a full week to do my routine. The

:13:23.:13:30.

success with Max and then Amy, getting a bronze, I felt like I

:13:31.:13:35.

needed to go out there and do something on the high bar. I saw you

:13:36.:13:40.

at the Olympic village at the start of the competition and you and Max

:13:41.:13:43.

were in such good spirits, your first Olympic Games and despite the

:13:44.:13:46.

weight you've had you been loving this Olympics, haven't you? It's

:13:47.:13:52.

been the greatest time of my life. I've had a beaming smile on my face

:13:53.:13:57.

all day. Waking up and just reminding myself you're at the

:13:58.:14:01.

Games, the biggest sporting event of all time. Soaking it up and that is

:14:02.:14:05.

the main thing for me, that I enjoy myself. I haven't seen anyone with a

:14:06.:14:11.

harder fist pump and cheer into the crowd than you, Nile. You did it in

:14:12.:14:17.

qualification and as you landed your high bar routine. Let's have a look

:14:18.:14:22.

at it! Let's see the routine. Let's see you doing your thing on the high

:14:23.:14:27.

bar, Nile. Just like Amy, you had to wait as well, excruciatingly

:14:28.:14:32.

painful! Yeah, the waiting was worse than the routine, I thought! I was

:14:33.:14:35.

so focused on the routine and nothing else was on my mind. Just

:14:36.:14:45.

the gymnastics. As soon as I landed, that's when I thought you know what,

:14:46.:14:53.

I might get a medal here! I'm an emotional guy, as I was showing, I

:14:54.:14:59.

find it difficult to bottle up, so that was an real, it totally took me

:15:00.:15:03.

by surprise. Your dad is an emotional man and he has been saying

:15:04.:15:13.

if you came away with a medal, your dad would quite likely, like you did

:15:14.:15:18.

at the World, take his top off! Do you know if there was that danger

:15:19.:15:22.

and if it actually happened? There is always a danger when my dad is

:15:23.:15:27.

around, even if I don't get a medal! I think he just got caught up in the

:15:28.:15:31.

whole moment yesterday and forgot about waving his teacher around his

:15:32.:15:32.

head. My family's journey as well, it is

:15:33.:15:46.

their medal as much as mine, it is very special. Amy, your family has

:15:47.:15:51.

been here with you. How quickly did they remind you got your GTA -esque

:15:52.:15:57.

-- GCSE results to come? I've been reminded of what the past few days.

:15:58.:16:03.

The day after I get back I have my results, so I'll have to what

:16:04.:16:07.

happens. There is still some tension before you get those come hopefully

:16:08.:16:11.

some more celebrating but between now and then, what happens for

:16:12.:16:14.

British gymnastics Krezolek entry had a celebration last night? Just a

:16:15.:16:19.

little, we're here until the closing ceremony on Monday. We're going to

:16:20.:16:23.

relax, the weather is incredible. Plenty of junk food, there is a free

:16:24.:16:29.

McDonald's in the village and relax because we've sacrificed and put so

:16:30.:16:33.

much work in to this dream. We have a medal and we deserve to celebrate.

:16:34.:16:37.

And look what happens, you have a bronze medal at a first ever games.

:16:38.:16:42.

This is what can happen. We've got a bit of a crowd, look at it. Can we

:16:43.:16:46.

have around the applause for a British bronze medallists?

:16:47.:16:47.

APPLAUSE A very generous ripple. Top five,

:16:48.:16:56.

well played. We will leave bronze medallist because Great Britain in

:16:57.:17:01.

the hockey are a bronze from London 2012 and will play against New

:17:02.:17:04.

Zealand late at night in the semifinal at 9pm on BBC One but you

:17:05.:17:08.

saw earlier we were in the other say final between the Netherlands and

:17:09.:17:13.

Germany. Half-time, 1-1, perfectly poised. It's on out happens in the

:17:14.:17:17.

second half in the company of Belkalem will -- Max Chilton.

:17:18.:17:35.

Condit Amat back on the field of play having taken a blow to the

:17:36.:17:44.

head. We think she's had some stitches put in, certainly had some

:17:45.:17:49.

treatment. Second half of this first semifinal in the Olympic hockey

:17:50.:17:55.

tournament is about to get underway. 1-1. 30 minutes of hockey left. The

:17:56.:18:04.

Germans in White and black. Now attacking the goal away to our

:18:05.:18:05.

right. Here go. If it is 1-1 or level at

:18:06.:18:16.

the end of full time there will be a penalty shoot out. We've not had one

:18:17.:18:21.

yet but it could be one to come. Very tight in the first 30 minutes.

:18:22.:18:28.

Xan de Waard leaves the ball for Paumen, who scored the goal from a

:18:29.:18:39.

brilliant penalty corner drag flick. The German goal scored by Lisa

:18:40.:18:47.

Schultz. I think the Germans dominated the first quarter and the

:18:48.:18:52.

Dutch second. It is the perfect semifinal, really, where both teams

:18:53.:18:55.

are cancelling each other out but the Dutch seem to be going through

:18:56.:18:56.

the gears as the game wears on. The German coach, barking his

:18:57.:19:19.

instructions to these players. Aerial ball. Kept in. Van Geffen not

:19:20.:19:33.

given five metres by Maeve is to take the aerial ball. The Dutch

:19:34.:19:38.

passing just sloppy in the first couple of minutes of this second

:19:39.:19:42.

half. The Germans might take advantage. Heading downfield.

:19:43.:19:50.

Stapenhorst unable to direct her pass accurately and the Dutch will

:19:51.:19:54.

escape the halfway. Help up, pass back.

:19:55.:20:11.

Van der Breggens -- van der Voort to winning procession. It has flown

:20:12.:20:22.

into the face of the Dutch player. They are appealing for a referral I

:20:23.:20:33.

think. -- van der Heuvel. I will check for you. Van der Heuvel sang

:20:34.:20:38.

the ball came off the German stick into her body. Which is correct. I

:20:39.:20:44.

don't think the video on should take long over this one. It was a little

:20:45.:20:52.

miffed by van der Heuvel onto the stick of Muller, which might have

:20:53.:20:57.

caused a problem. A restart with a penalty corner. It has all worked

:20:58.:21:05.

out perfectly for the Dutch. It was dangerous, it was up of a German

:21:06.:21:08.

stick and into the Dutch player come and get a penalty corner, it will be

:21:09.:21:14.

their fourth of the match and they keep their referral. Watch out for

:21:15.:21:20.

Marcia Paumen, her score from this position already. Van Maasakker here

:21:21.:21:24.

as well. Ready to inject the penalty corner

:21:25.:21:47.

for the Netherlands. It has come to Polman, not far away. Didn't seem to

:21:48.:21:54.

get the timing quite right. I think it was a poor track if I'm honest.

:21:55.:21:59.

The injection was poor from van As, forced the stick stopper to take a

:22:00.:22:03.

step left and you can see Marcia Paumen shaking her head. She cannot

:22:04.:22:08.

do her job as the best Flickr in the world of the injection is poor and

:22:09.:22:13.

so is the trap. Poland rampaging forward again. Van der Voort or held

:22:14.:22:20.

up -- van der Heuvel held up. Leading the charge with van As on

:22:21.:22:24.

the left. Towards the circle, sent back outside, van As will restart.

:22:25.:22:31.

Just a little flick forward, cleared by Germany.

:22:32.:22:35.

Cons of van der Voort's foot as we came out, frigates to the Germans

:22:36.:22:48.

rather than the sideline. -- Xan de Waard. Cautious start to the second

:22:49.:22:50.

half from both sides. A bit of space in front and the

:22:51.:23:02.

right. She is the fastest player on the field and using the speedwell.

:23:03.:23:06.

As shooting opportunity possibly merging for the Netherlands will

:23:07.:23:10.

stop loved away by Kristina Reynolds. Now just a build-up of

:23:11.:23:19.

Dutch pressure. Van As again tries to go around the revealing -- Welten

:23:20.:23:36.

-- Muller-Wieland and. I van Maasakker but opened a tunnel on the

:23:37.:23:37.

right. Van Geffen trying to fire this in on

:23:38.:23:52.

the backhand wing. These are the chances, Leurink spinning on the

:23:53.:23:57.

baseline and it got files to van der Heuvel to get the snapshot away. But

:23:58.:24:00.

Reynolds makes the save and hit it back into the circle.

:24:01.:24:17.

Paumen, scorer of the Dutch goal. Amazing to have speed. Has to stop

:24:18.:24:31.

just outside 23. Paumen sends it all the way back.

:24:32.:24:40.

Ellen Hoog running into trouble. Continuing the attack up to the edge

:24:41.:24:49.

of the circle. The desperate German defence. They have got the ball

:24:50.:24:52.

clear and regained possession. The Germans need to stretch the

:24:53.:25:02.

field. Their striker line is probably four or five metres over

:25:03.:25:07.

the halfway line. It can cause it on press because the Dutch defenders

:25:08.:25:08.

can close the gap as well. Just a bit scrappy from Germany at

:25:09.:25:17.

times. Paumen lifted up, attracted back,

:25:18.:25:29.

was there a stick from the German defender? No. -- tracks it back. The

:25:30.:25:39.

Dutch in good voice again. They've been subdued for a while and now as

:25:40.:25:44.

the second half on falls they are starting to get behind their players

:25:45.:25:47.

and the Dutch have had the majority of the attacking opportunities so

:25:48.:25:50.

far in this third quarter. Good interplay between the German

:25:51.:26:10.

midfielders. Picked up by Old Trafford -- Oldhafer on the right

:26:11.:26:16.

flank. Good skills, she gets the might get all the way to the

:26:17.:26:21.

baseline, can she put it across? Penalty Court for the Germans.

:26:22.:26:24.

Oldhafer just inside the circle upended. Keetels stick doing the

:26:25.:26:36.

damage. I think they set up are you certain? She was looking for a list

:26:37.:26:40.

of ball on the knee, yes, it had heard me but her knees four inches

:26:41.:26:43.

off the ground. It will never be given and it is the right decision

:26:44.:26:51.

to put pressure on her player. Only the second penalty corner of the

:26:52.:26:52.

game for Germany. Nicky Laurance is just behind the

:26:53.:27:07.

circle. Anna Kruger there as well. Louwrens pleases to her right. That

:27:08.:27:12.

set piece did not go according to plan for Germany at all. The dot are

:27:13.:27:21.

breaking down the right. Just in front, Haggas around the arena from

:27:22.:27:24.

the Dutch supporters. Ellen Hoog unable to make contact, it would

:27:25.:27:30.

have been one-on-one if she had. Regina Reynolds is waiting in the

:27:31.:27:41.

German goal to do battle with Caulker the Hoog. I think it is the

:27:42.:27:46.

pressure, I think she decided to get the glory ball, she went for the 50

:27:47.:27:50.

yard pass to Ellen Hoog and missed the target and there is an

:27:51.:27:51.

opportunity wasted for the Dutch. Teschke at speed down the left.

:27:52.:28:08.

Tries to get the lift over the Dutch stick. The Netherlands will get the

:28:09.:28:19.

free hit. Where to go? Down the right flank, pushed out by van As.

:28:20.:28:27.

And by one of the German players, van As gained another yard. 6.5

:28:28.:28:37.

minutes left in the third quarter. The Netherlands one, Germany one.

:28:38.:28:46.

An important interception from Muller-Wieland, broken kindly for an

:28:47.:28:52.

orange shirt coming towards the circle. It will be a Dutch ball.

:28:53.:28:58.

Some insane takes by the middle of the field full stop. Rich, jumped in

:28:59.:29:03.

the air, took the ball and put it into a space so she could run onto

:29:04.:29:06.

it. To the flicks it up looking for van As. That attack comes to an end.

:29:07.:29:35.

Midfield, Dutch pressure all the way in this third quarter so far. Apart

:29:36.:29:43.

from the penalty corners of the Germans made a mess they've barely

:29:44.:29:48.

had any time inside the Dutch half. And it's hard work to fending for 60

:29:49.:29:53.

minutes, arguably 45 because they definitely took the first quarter.

:29:54.:30:06.

She raises her arm and claims the free hit, it's awarded. Maartje

:30:07.:30:25.

Paumen drills it into the circle. Ellen Hoog was out wide, simple ball

:30:26.:30:29.

to the side. Sometimes in the heat of the battle and with the weather

:30:30.:30:33.

as well, it can sometimes make players make what we perceive to be

:30:34.:30:38.

the wrong decisions. As we've often said, it's so easy from a commentary

:30:39.:30:41.

box to see the passive and down there you see different angles and

:30:42.:30:45.

the pressure builds up a. The Germans have to get hold of this all

:30:46.:30:50.

otherwise it's going to be a long 19 minutes left of this game. There was

:30:51.:30:55.

a breeze for a while which was taking the edge of the mid-30s

:30:56.:31:00.

temperatures, but the flags are limp at the moment, no wind to cool the

:31:01.:31:05.

players down. Appeals for a penalty corner, looking suspicious but none

:31:06.:31:10.

given. Brilliant play by Charlotte Stapp and host. -- Charlotte

:31:11.:31:26.

Stapenhorst. Here is the cross, bobbling around dangerously. Flicked

:31:27.:31:35.

back. Ellen Hoog trying to get herself into space. Ellen Hoog back

:31:36.:31:41.

in possession here and still it is Dutch ball. Sent all the way back to

:31:42.:31:58.

Bos, broken kindly for Holland once again. Into the circle. Dangerous

:31:59.:32:06.

Paul off the German stick on the circle edge. Van den Heuvel four.

:32:07.:32:17.

Germany come away with the ball. Less than three minutes left in the

:32:18.:32:25.

quarter, still 1-1 in this Olympic semi. The chance to play either

:32:26.:32:30.

Great Britain or New Zealand in the Gold Medal match. Oldhafer. Oldhafer

:32:31.:32:40.

has done well. Settling things down for Germany. Muller spreads it

:32:41.:32:44.

across to the centre. Now they try and break down the left-hand side,

:32:45.:32:53.

with Franzisca Hauke. Good stick work by her and the passwords need

:32:54.:32:59.

as well. Mother drives it in. The Dutch stick on the end. The whistle

:33:00.:33:07.

is blown. Germany certainly need to get more from Francisco Howe go,

:33:08.:33:17.

Jana Teschke and Hannah Kruger. Three of the more experienced

:33:18.:33:22.

players in this side. If they're going to come out with the result

:33:23.:33:29.

they want. Franzisca Hauke restarts. Back it comes. The Germans seem a

:33:30.:33:37.

little on willing to press forward and now they do. That is over the

:33:38.:33:42.

top with 90 seconds until the three quarters time hooter. Perhaps Julia

:33:43.:33:48.

Muller knew there wasn't a massive amount of time left on the clock, so

:33:49.:33:54.

she just belted one into the circle hoping for a touch. Now, this has

:33:55.:33:58.

fallen nicely. Stapenhorst on her way. Still she goes, Stapenhorst! It

:33:59.:34:07.

is behind. A good effort and one of the Dutch players has taken a bang

:34:08.:34:16.

in the process. It is Bos, who is down. Brilliant skills by

:34:17.:34:23.

Stapenhorst, using her skills. Bos gets hit on the side of the head

:34:24.:34:28.

from the follow-through from Stapenhorst's stick. But she's up,

:34:29.:34:30.

she's fine. A burst of herb pace. The Dutch need

:34:31.:34:49.

that. The aerial ball aimed up. 40 seconds left in the third quarter.

:34:50.:34:56.

They can quickly by Maria Verschoor, trying to force it through to an

:34:57.:35:01.

attacker in the centre circle. Still time to do some damage. The Germans

:35:02.:35:08.

seem content to just slow things down now and take us to the hooter

:35:09.:35:13.

to signal the end of the third quarter. The last 15 seconds.

:35:14.:35:23.

Will take us to three quarters time in this Olympic semifinal. It

:35:24.:35:35.

remains as it was at half-time, the Netherlands 1-1 Germany. 15 minutes

:35:36.:35:38.

left to play. STUDIO

:35:39.:35:40.

We will be back for the final quarter of this semifinal, the

:35:41.:35:44.

Netherlands against Germany, very soon. But first I'm afraid some sad

:35:45.:35:50.

news for British badminton fans because we were talking about Reggie

:35:51.:35:54.

Doucet, into the quarterfinals of the men's singles for the first

:35:55.:35:59.

time. He lost the third game and things went from bad to worse,

:36:00.:36:03.

losing the second by 21 points to 16. Unfortunately for him, his

:36:04.:36:14.

Danish opponent was just too strong on the day. Let's hear what Rajiv

:36:15.:36:16.

Ouseph had to say. It didn't quite go to plan today.

:36:17.:36:25.

How difficult was it to get into your own rhythm? Yes, very

:36:26.:36:29.

difficult. I thought he played really well and he got a lot of

:36:30.:36:33.

attacking shots back. I was getting frustrated with my own play. But he

:36:34.:36:38.

played well and I think he managed the occasion very well. I can see

:36:39.:36:43.

you're disappointed but how pleased are you with this run, the first

:36:44.:36:46.

British man to get to amen's singles at the Olympics? Yes, it was a dream

:36:47.:36:53.

for me. I knew if I played very well I could win but it wasn't quite

:36:54.:36:56.

meant to be. I have really enjoys the whole experience and it's

:36:57.:37:00.

something that will stay with me for a long time. How do you hope that

:37:01.:37:05.

your brilliant run here will affect the sport back home in terms of

:37:06.:37:10.

popularity? I would love it if more people picked up the rackets and

:37:11.:37:13.

played badminton. That was the main goal for me and Chris as well this

:37:14.:37:17.

week and Marcus with their great run. It's not always just about

:37:18.:37:21.

singles in Britain, it's about doubles. If I can promote people to

:37:22.:37:25.

play badminton generally, I will be a very happy man. Have you enjoyed

:37:26.:37:30.

the Olympic spirit, what will you take away from it? The crowd have

:37:31.:37:37.

been on the label. Even if it's against me, I don't really mind.

:37:38.:37:41.

Have you got another four-year Olympic cycling you? To be honest,

:37:42.:37:46.

I'm not sure. I will probably have a few weeks off and then make a

:37:47.:37:50.

decision. If it's anything like this, I will carry on. Unlucky today

:37:51.:37:59.

and well played. Thank you. So many positives to take out of this for

:38:00.:38:02.

Rajiv Ouseph. If you've been inspired by badminton, it's such a

:38:03.:38:09.

popular sport, go to the website and get involved and the details are on

:38:10.:38:14.

the screen. Back to the semifinal between Germany and the Netherlands.

:38:15.:38:18.

If they can't split them after this 15 minutes, it's a shoot out.

:38:19.:38:26.

Because of the temperatures these afternoon, they've been given extra

:38:27.:38:33.

time to rehydrate. We are potentially 15 minutes away from a

:38:34.:38:36.

penalty shoot out to decide who's going forward to the Gold Medal

:38:37.:38:40.

match to face either Great Britain or New Zealand, who will be involved

:38:41.:38:45.

in their semifinal this evening in the cooler air of 5pm, which is 9pm

:38:46.:38:53.

UK time. 1-1 here. The Germans in white and black, attacking the goal

:38:54.:38:58.

away to our right. First goal from Germany scored by Lisa Schutze. The

:38:59.:39:12.

penalty routine brought the Germans level and now they will go at it for

:39:13.:39:17.

15 minutes to see who gets a guaranteed Olympic medal. Francisco

:39:18.:39:25.

Howe could standing over the ball. Waiting before she finds

:39:26.:39:29.

Muller-Wieland, on the left. Germany retreat back towards the halfway

:39:30.:39:32.

line. Muller-Wieland again. Francisco Howe cup. Into the centre.

:39:33.:39:41.

This is good for Germany, they are in space! That wasn't far-away, the

:39:42.:39:52.

attempted touch from Marie Mavers. Marie Mavers wasn't far-away. You

:39:53.:39:57.

just wonder whether the Germans have decided pre-match, because of the

:39:58.:40:01.

weather, they will have a go in the first quarter and then have a go in

:40:02.:40:04.

the fourth quarter because they can't play at that intensity for the

:40:05.:40:11.

entire match. Maria Verschoor comes down towards the circle, she is

:40:12.:40:16.

fast, she has beaten them all, she's down on her knees and have

:40:17.:40:17.

possession. Lisa Altenburg, up to the 23. Lisa

:40:18.:40:32.

Altenburg tidying up, covering a lot of ground. Much more urgency about

:40:33.:40:36.

the pace of this final quarter now. They're going to leave everything

:40:37.:40:40.

out on the field in the searing heat of this afternoon in Rio de Janeiro.

:40:41.:40:47.

Up to the edge of the circle. Shot pushed away. A good save from

:40:48.:40:51.

Kristina Reynolds but the whistle had blown. It had blown for

:40:52.:40:56.

obstruction. Janne Muller-Wieland on the edge here, trying to make the

:40:57.:41:02.

tackle, and just hear the body is used to block Janne Muller-Wieland.

:41:03.:41:05.

That gives the ball to the Germans. Muller-Wieland. Cecile P Burke, down

:41:06.:41:31.

the line. Looking for Stapenhorst. Stapenhorst has a bit of time now

:41:32.:41:36.

before she decides on her next move, which is back to Cecile paper and

:41:37.:41:42.

then back further to Maria Weiland -- to Muller-Wieland.

:41:43.:41:50.

Into the centre of the field now adds Germany try and pick their way

:41:51.:41:58.

through. They won't do it like that, the passing has to be better. Just a

:41:59.:42:03.

slight miscommunication but I do think that Cecile paper could have

:42:04.:42:08.

got slightly higher on what we called the gain line, so she is

:42:09.:42:11.

basically level with one of the Dutch defenders. Francisco Howe cup

:42:12.:42:16.

pushes it forward, a dangerous moment for the Dutch defence. Now

:42:17.:42:24.

this is promising and there is a Dutch player right on the penalty

:42:25.:42:36.

spot. Very much outnumbered there, Kitty van Male on the ball and six

:42:37.:42:45.

German defenders back there. The Dutch are good but to try to break

:42:46.:42:49.

down eight team that is predominantly built on indoor and

:42:50.:42:51.

really good defensive skills is not going to be easy. Nicely taken turn

:42:52.:42:59.

from Kelly Jonker and she heads towards the centre. It has hit the

:43:00.:43:09.

knee of Lisa Schutze and Naomi van As has stepped forward to do

:43:10.:43:12.

something with this free hit. Naomi van As, back to Maartje Paumen. A

:43:13.:43:27.

pass to Bos is dealt with eventually. Ellen Hoog on the right

:43:28.:43:35.

runs out of space. The German coach getting more and more animated. He's

:43:36.:43:41.

brilliant. If you ever want to know how a game is going, just keep the

:43:42.:43:45.

camera on him. One thing I love about him is he's so honest. When

:43:46.:43:49.

you chat to him, in half-time interviews, if they're not playing

:43:50.:43:55.

very well, he will say so. There is no secret that all from him. Little

:43:56.:44:06.

flick forward, beautifully watched and read by Muller-Wieland. There is

:44:07.:44:11.

a Dutch player down. Whistles from the Dutch supporters and finally a

:44:12.:44:12.

whistle from the umpire. Favoured I'm not sure he feels that was

:44:13.:44:32.

exactly the way. Hannah Kruger has gone to ground to get the tackle and

:44:33.:44:43.

Eva de Goede has gone over the top of her and probably winded herself

:44:44.:44:46.

but there is nothing malicious in that at all. The match will restart

:44:47.:44:55.

with a bully. Nine minutes and 16 seconds left in this contest. If it

:44:56.:45:02.

stays level, we will have a penalty shoot out. To decide who goes to the

:45:03.:45:11.

Gold Medal match. Naomi van As, on the right. German whistles but it

:45:12.:45:18.

has been clearly dealt with fairly. Naomi van As has covered an awful

:45:19.:45:23.

dog round! The ball in aimed for Kelly Jonker but it didn't quite

:45:24.:45:24.

reach her. These abortions are responding in

:45:25.:45:45.

the stands alongside. They have a point as the Germans had possession

:45:46.:45:49.

when the umpire decided to stop the game. They gave the ball back to the

:45:50.:45:55.

Dutch. That was her decision and choice, there would have been a

:45:56.:45:59.

discussion between the players. Crack on with the game. It is a

:46:00.:46:11.

good-looking post the centre of the German midfield. Schroder goes

:46:12.:46:17.

backwards. Muller switches to the left. Inside the Teschke. Teschke

:46:18.:46:28.

all the way back to Schroder, who rolls at forward. It is what every

:46:29.:46:32.

step by the eagle eyed Dutch defence who burst down. Van As on the ball.

:46:33.:46:46.

Still scrapping, she finds van As again. I think there will be a card

:46:47.:46:55.

here, the umpire is reaching for her pocket. Green card shown to Muller,

:46:56.:47:03.

heading off for a two-minute suspension. She has gone back to the

:47:04.:47:11.

play here, there is a shove on the back in the middle of the pitch,

:47:12.:47:15.

umpire is waiting for the ball to be dead before they can issue a card.

:47:16.:47:21.

Can the Netherlands exploit this numerical advantage for the next few

:47:22.:47:25.

minutes? There in the right place to do so in the side the German circle.

:47:26.:47:35.

But they have lost possession. There is seven minutes left on this game

:47:36.:47:38.

and there is lots of hockey to be played but the Dutch do not have the

:47:39.:47:43.

best penalty shoot out record and we know about the Germans and their

:47:44.:47:49.

penalties. That has to play on their mind. Van Mahler to the circle

:47:50.:47:57.

before she was robbed of the ball. That is a good pass but Bos's trap

:47:58.:48:05.

was woeful. She let possession slip back to the Germans, who are

:48:06.:48:07.

pressing forward with purpose. Dutch ball again. Flicked forward.

:48:08.:48:16.

One against three. Another card coming out. It is a yellow this time

:48:17.:48:28.

for Oldhafer. Sophie Oldhafer will miss the next five minutes, meaning

:48:29.:48:31.

she misses most of the rest of the game. The Germans are down to nine

:48:32.:48:39.

against 11. We spoke about the German discipline possibly letting

:48:40.:48:44.

them down, unfortunately it is an accumulation of team fouls. Pushed

:48:45.:48:52.

behind by a German stick. Long corner will be taken.

:48:53.:49:01.

First Goerges finding a way through. It is of the German, penalty corner

:49:02.:49:09.

for the Dutch. Could this be the decisive set piece? Dishes corner

:49:10.:49:18.

number five and it is the ball onto her foot, just caught up right when

:49:19.:49:24.

trying to trap the ball rather than being low. Protecting the feed. But

:49:25.:49:28.

that is what the dot are good at, goal block the block the body put it

:49:29.:49:32.

on your foot and if you stay right they can do it as well. Bos and

:49:33.:49:38.

Paumen lined up behind the circle ready to play the drag flick. But

:49:39.:49:42.

they have to get the first two elements right. The injection in the

:49:43.:49:46.

trap have to work, they did not last time. Here's Paumen, holding it up.

:49:47.:49:54.

Doesn't shoot that. What a goal. Local, been disallowed. The Dutch

:49:55.:50:01.

are celebrating, but now they realise there is no goal. You would

:50:02.:50:06.

think the Dutch would understand unfortunately because it is a hit

:50:07.:50:10.

from Ellen Hoog it has to hit the back board as the first shot and it

:50:11.:50:13.

is too high, goes into the net but the reason she had to bring the ball

:50:14.:50:17.

back out of the circle is the trap by Ellen initially was stopped

:50:18.:50:22.

inside the circle and the ball must come outside before you can take a

:50:23.:50:26.

shot at goal. The Dutch are on their way forward, it is across the face.

:50:27.:50:32.

It is a really physical in there, backhand over the top this time. The

:50:33.:50:40.

Germans back up to ten with Julian Muller back on the field but you can

:50:41.:50:43.

feel the intensity and pressure building, the rink with the final

:50:44.:50:46.

shot from the top of the circle goes over, Kristina Reynolds in goal.

:50:47.:51:00.

. For the Dutch supporters. They were on their feet celebrating. They

:51:01.:51:06.

thought it was 2-1 with five minutes to play but it is 1-1 with less than

:51:07.:51:11.

five minutes to play. Penalty shoot out lose potentially in this first

:51:12.:51:15.

semifinal. The Germans going backwards. Finally finding a way

:51:16.:51:20.

out. Still one player down. And the Germans, assuming no further

:51:21.:51:34.

cards, will only have a full complement of players for the final

:51:35.:51:36.

minute or so of the match. Never discount the Germans is the

:51:37.:51:53.

lesson we've learned over the years. International sport. It has been

:51:54.:51:59.

emphasised in this Olympic competition as well, the last-minute

:52:00.:52:03.

goes everywhere -- last minute goal is everywhere. The women just as

:52:04.:52:06.

capable as the men of upsetting the debt -- Dutch in the final seconds

:52:07.:52:10.

of this match. Paumen back infield to Bos, driven upfield. There was a

:52:11.:52:17.

Dutch player in space but the German defender read it perfectly. All the

:52:18.:52:24.

way back and picked up at pace. Down the centre.

:52:25.:52:29.

Can they get it through the younger? -- the Jonker? I've never seen

:52:30.:52:39.

Alison on the side of a field? She is almost stepping onto the blue

:52:40.:52:42.

turf trying to drive the Dutch team forwards. Normally she stands behind

:52:43.:52:48.

fencing. Poke the eMac Kucka trying to run her way through. Again

:52:49.:52:54.

behind. Brilliant defending by Nike Lorenz, taken the ball to the

:52:55.:53:01.

headbutt got down low. Into the circle again and the pressure is

:53:02.:53:05.

relieved. It was the Dutch sticks sending it out of play. Less than

:53:06.:53:11.

three minutes in the match. The prospect of a penalty shoot out to

:53:12.:53:15.

decide who goes for the gold medal match.

:53:16.:53:21.

The Dutch once again have had the lion's share of possession in this

:53:22.:53:29.

final quarter. But it is all square, 1-1. Van As gets the stick in. Has

:53:30.:53:35.

the reverse out of the situation because it will be German

:53:36.:53:36.

possession. Altenburg getting stuck in left

:53:37.:53:56.

flank. Last two minutes of the game, a bouncing ball for Polman, she has

:53:57.:54:01.

dealt with it. Just ahead of van As, who takes it on the run. Travelling

:54:02.:54:06.

nicely. Sends the ball across. My word. Not far away. Jonker was

:54:07.:54:16.

waiting. Paumen again to van As. Full stretch, she keeps it in. The

:54:17.:54:21.

Dutch with a chance. The shot, just off the line. But Reynolds,

:54:22.:54:25.

desperate goalkeeping, they've kept it out. Kristina Reynolds is having

:54:26.:54:34.

a blinder when her team needed. Ellen Hoog bounces the ball into the

:54:35.:54:38.

turf and somehow Reynolds keeps the ball out. Not over yet, the Dutch

:54:39.:54:43.

are still determined to finish this off in normal time. Just over one

:54:44.:54:44.

minute. Left on the clock. The final 45 seconds of play. One

:54:45.:55:24.

more chance. For the Netherlands the press. Can they get a last-minute

:55:25.:55:30.

winner? Chris Grube did well, she will get the free hits, 30 seconds

:55:31.:55:31.

left. Another chance. The Germans take it to the corner

:55:32.:55:48.

and will have a chance to keep possession with the final hooter

:55:49.:55:53.

just ten seconds away. A penalty shoot out will decide who goes to

:55:54.:55:59.

the Olympic gold medal match to play either Great Britain or New Zealand.

:56:00.:56:05.

There it is. 1-1 at the end of the match. Next up, the penalty shoot

:56:06.:56:13.

out and all of the raw emotion that brings with it.

:56:14.:56:18.

The penalty shoot out for a guaranteed Olympic medal and a place

:56:19.:56:24.

in the gold-medal match. About to commence. Willemijn Bos, firstly for

:56:25.:56:31.

the Netherlands versus Kristina Reynolds.

:56:32.:56:38.

After goalkeeper and in. Good start. Exactly what the Dutch needed,

:56:39.:56:50.

Kristina Reynolds runs on a straight line, both as watching her the

:56:51.:56:53.

entire way and she gets the left glove onto it, but the power of the

:56:54.:56:58.

shot beat her and Janne Muller-Wieland up for the Germans.

:56:59.:57:06.

Against Joyce Sombroek. It is in off the goalkeeper. We had to wait as

:57:07.:57:19.

that one floated towards the goal. Found the target. Hold your breath

:57:20.:57:25.

moment for any German fan. She goes to ground, just flicks off the arm

:57:26.:57:31.

and you can see with that means the Ghana William and -- Janne

:57:32.:57:33.

Muller-Wieland. Saved. The rhetoric goalkeeping.

:57:34.:57:48.

Reynolds watcher every step of the way as she shuffled the left. She

:57:49.:57:57.

did not do enough on this one, one of the most skilful players in the

:57:58.:58:00.

world but did not do enough to move Kristina Reynolds and of course she

:58:01.:58:04.

got to the baseline, the more likely it was Reynolds would make the save.

:58:05.:58:07.

Marie Mavers up second for the Germans.

:58:08.:58:13.

Mavis to the edge. Where will she go? It is in. Mavis makes sure for

:58:14.:58:26.

Germany. 2-1. It is a style you will see fairly often where the forward

:58:27.:58:29.

comes in and turned their back on the goalkeeper and then you can

:58:30.:58:33.

wrong-foot them and go either way, socially with this skill level.

:58:34.:58:40.

Details for the Netherlands next. Realistically she has to put this

:58:41.:58:46.

one past Reynolds. -- Keetels. She has eight seconds to do so. It is

:58:47.:58:54.

saved. Keetels has missed, another great save from Reynolds. Germany,

:58:55.:59:00.

three from three. I beg your pardon, the Dutch just one from three. There

:59:01.:59:08.

does not seem to be any confidence in the Dutch penalty takers. Keetels

:59:09.:59:13.

does not do enough to beat Reynolds again and Altenburg steps up for the

:59:14.:59:14.

Germans. She has to make a save. Altenburg on

:59:15.:59:31.

her way. It is saved. It is over as it is out of the D. She just gave

:59:32.:59:38.

the duct lifeline with that save and, again, for me Altenburg does

:59:39.:59:42.

not do enough to move Sombroek, she is not the most confident in their

:59:43.:59:47.

butt Altenburg runs at Sombroek and Margot van Geffen up now for the

:59:48.:59:49.

Dutch. There is the whistle, up and away.

:59:50.:00:03.

Taking it long, has run into space, great penalty for van Geffen. That

:00:04.:00:12.

is fantastic, she strolled into the circle, looked like she was going to

:00:13.:00:18.

smash it will remain Bos, Christine Reynolds goes for the dummy but the

:00:19.:00:21.

role that your backhand as a right defender and put it in the back of

:00:22.:00:23.

the net. Germany so far with two out of

:00:24.:00:32.

three. She is taking her time and she is

:00:33.:00:53.

running out of time, Teschke. Well played by Joyce Sombroek. She did

:00:54.:01:04.

really well, taking big strides, Teschke could have not make tur.

:01:05.:01:16.

Kelly Jonker has the possibility for Holland -- nut mug. The fifth

:01:17.:01:26.

penalty for the Dutch. It is Jonker against Reynolds. Reynolds makes the

:01:27.:01:37.

save. So, here we are, 2-2. Kristina Reynolds stays big. Jonker didn't

:01:38.:01:47.

move Reynolds enough. It is Franzisca Hauke who has

:01:48.:01:50.

responsibility for Germany and if she scores, they will win. Hauke has

:01:51.:01:56.

the chance to guarantee Germany and Olympic medal. The Dutch need

:01:57.:02:09.

heroics from Sombroek. Sombroek makes the save. So, we are into

:02:10.:02:17.

sudden death. Started so well for the Germans, scoring two but

:02:18.:02:22.

Sombroek has shown what a quality keeper she actually is. Now you can

:02:23.:02:31.

choose who goes in what what order. It should be the Germans to take the

:02:32.:02:35.

penalty first. The roles are reversed and you can choose. Ideally

:02:36.:02:39.

someone who has scored should step up to try again.

:02:40.:02:52.

Muller-Wieland, the German captain, stepping up first. Unbelievable

:02:53.:02:57.

tension here. Muller-Wieland is waiting for Sombroek who took off

:02:58.:03:01.

the helmet and had a gob of water. It is roasting on the hockey field

:03:02.:03:05.

right now. As a goalkeeper, you are wearing more clothes than everybody.

:03:06.:03:11.

-- a gulp of water. Sudden death now. 2-2 after five. Now, the sudden

:03:12.:03:21.

death situation. The German captain against the Dutch goalkeeper.

:03:22.:03:30.

Oh, she's read it in, somehow! What a finish from Muller-Wieland.

:03:31.:03:40.

Extraordinary angle. That is absolutely insane, the Dutch were

:03:41.:03:43.

up, you could see them almost celebrating. Sombroek did well not

:03:44.:03:50.

to fall for the dummy. Making the save, off the helmet, but from that

:03:51.:04:00.

angle, Muller-Wieland, take a bow. Now, she must score for the

:04:01.:04:10.

Netherlands. Bos gets another chance and she makes no mistake. Hearts in

:04:11.:04:18.

mouths all around the stadium amongst the Dutch supporters. It is

:04:19.:04:24.

absolutely cruel if you are a German fan. Reynolds does well but she

:04:25.:04:27.

doesn't know where the ball has gone. Bos, composed. Mavers, another

:04:28.:04:41.

scorer, I imagine we will see the same thing from her in front of

:04:42.:04:45.

Sombroek. The whistle goes, eight seconds for Mavers, coming at speed.

:04:46.:04:53.

No, it's... Wide off the gold. She tried to go through Sombroek's legs.

:04:54.:05:00.

-- wide of the goal. Well, well, well. She didn't spend enough,

:05:01.:05:05.

Mavers, in front of Sombroek who I think got the inside of the pad. She

:05:06.:05:10.

didn't do enough, Sombroek did well and it came off the right pad. Now,

:05:11.:05:17.

if Ellen Hoog scores, the Dutch are in the final. She is away, can she

:05:18.:05:25.

get past Manaus? Going left and rot the lie -- left and right and she

:05:26.:05:29.

scores, the Netherlands are guaranteed a medal in the Olympic

:05:30.:05:35.

heat ornament. Lasse Viren hockey tournament. They have defeated

:05:36.:05:41.

Germany in the penalty shoot out. -- the hockey tournament. The Germans

:05:42.:05:44.

are in despair. What a way to finish. Ellen Hoog, the hero of the

:05:45.:05:54.

Netherlands died. Typically they play the full match and there is

:05:55.:06:02.

penalties and the Germans win but the Dutch had done it -- the

:06:03.:06:08.

Netherlands side. STUDIO: Germany losing on penalties, you've seen it.

:06:09.:06:17.

You could see how agonising it was the Germany. Jubilation for the

:06:18.:06:21.

Netherlands, going through to another Olympic final and they will

:06:22.:06:24.

play either New Zealand or Great Britain. Great Britain lost at this

:06:25.:06:30.

stage of London 2012, they would love to get into the final in a

:06:31.:06:34.

couple of days' time. They must get past New Zealand first. 9pm on BBC

:06:35.:06:42.

One tonight. It is also the semifinal stage of the men's

:06:43.:06:45.

football competition and after a long, long wait, Brazil's hope for

:06:46.:06:57.

the goal medal is with the men, despite getting no wins early on.

:06:58.:07:04.

The women's progress ended spectacularly yesterday after

:07:05.:07:07.

penalties at the Maracana are. It went down to penalties. Lindahl

:07:08.:07:15.

getting a couple of important penalty saves before Sweden were

:07:16.:07:22.

sent into the final against Germany. Brazilian hopes now rest with the

:07:23.:07:28.

men. This is the semifinal line-up. Later it is Nigeria against Germany

:07:29.:07:33.

but Brazil against Honduras is what we are going to see. They got

:07:34.:07:41.

underway about 45 minutes ago. Brazil taking the first half by

:07:42.:07:50.

storm. Only 14 seconds after getting the game underway, Brazil found the

:07:51.:07:56.

back of the net. Can you believe it? 14 seconds on the clock. The home

:07:57.:08:03.

nation go ahead, through Neymar. Dube elation, cheers and an Olympic

:08:04.:08:07.

record for the fastest goal call in Olympic football -- tube elation.

:08:08.:08:17.

They went two up through Gabrial Jesus, who signed the 27 million for

:08:18.:08:23.

Manchester City in the summer. Closing in on the Olympic final. We

:08:24.:08:28.

are going to join it in the second half with Alistair and Kevin.

:08:29.:08:38.

COMMENTATOR: Almost a fourth goal and the keeper would have stopped

:08:39.:08:49.

it. Not the first time that the keeper from Honduras has come to the

:08:50.:08:54.

rescue of his beleaguered team-mates. It was a good save, but

:08:55.:09:01.

could he have picked out Neymar, with a slide past to the right hand

:09:02.:09:13.

side. Wanted the glory him self but it was a good save. Selfishness can

:09:14.:09:17.

be forgiven when you are winning 3-0 provided you make it to the final.

:09:18.:09:29.

Exactly. Not a foul on Neymar, Quioto pulling back the arm of the

:09:30.:09:38.

mercurial genius. The opening five minutes, the same as the opening 45

:09:39.:09:43.

minutes. Brazil dominating. Telling passes, the runs from the front four

:09:44.:09:51.

and the Hondurans, looking flat-footed and if anything just as

:09:52.:09:55.

vulnerable as they did before the substitution made at half-time.

:09:56.:10:01.

Brazil corner, there is no marking and it is number four and this

:10:02.:10:14.

time it is Marquinhos on target and it is joy unbridled at the Maracana.

:10:15.:10:28.

It was poorly dealt with again from Honduras. Almost didn't see it,

:10:29.:10:37.

Marquinhos. He was trying to make it -- play it first time himself. It

:10:38.:10:43.

was stuck under his foot and he had the composure to play beyond Lopez.

:10:44.:10:49.

You feel a bit for Lopez in this game, he's been exposed time and

:10:50.:10:54.

time again. Simple tap in but how easy was that for Brazil? It was far

:10:55.:11:00.

too easy. It is one thing being unable to cope with the irresistible

:11:01.:11:03.

exuberance of that very talented front four, but it is another having

:11:04.:11:09.

poor marking in a set piece corner because if you look at it on the

:11:10.:11:17.

replay, he was allowed to get to the ball, the ball comes out of his

:11:18.:11:21.

control and he still had time to put the ball in the back of the net

:11:22.:11:24.

without any pressure on him, no matter who was given him as the man

:11:25.:11:29.

to mark, or whether they were doing zonal marking, it is difficult to

:11:30.:11:34.

tell. No player should be allowed that kind of time insight the areas.

:11:35.:11:41.

-- the area. There were two or three runners, that is the key thing. The

:11:42.:11:45.

number of players were out of position from the ball from Neymar

:11:46.:11:49.

and then you have one of the defenders, one of the better headers

:11:50.:11:53.

in the Brazil team, free, and a few yards out and no one close to him.

:11:54.:12:03.

Poor defending. A contest that might be over. Let's hope that the

:12:04.:12:08.

Brazilians desired to grab themselves a handful -- desire. They

:12:09.:12:19.

are more than capable of doing it. Barbosa, Neymar, Gabrial Jesus,

:12:20.:12:24.

having the most wonderful day at the Maracana R. It is going through its

:12:25.:12:36.

song book, various chants and songs. In many ways this is a dress

:12:37.:12:40.

rehearsal for the Gold Medal final on Saturday evening. The other

:12:41.:12:46.

semifinal, by the way, later this evening between Germany and Nigeria.

:12:47.:12:56.

I think we can safely say that one of the most extraordinary comebacks

:12:57.:13:02.

in the history of football, it is likely that Brazil will be in the

:13:03.:13:07.

final on Saturday. I think whoever they play in the final, Nigeria or

:13:08.:13:12.

Germany, the defending will be better. I can't see mistakes being

:13:13.:13:17.

made from either of these teams the way we've seen from Honduras today.

:13:18.:13:23.

They gifted them the opener. Time and time again they given the ball

:13:24.:13:30.

away and it has been far too easy for Brazil. Just to reiterate, this

:13:31.:13:36.

is effectively an under 23 tournament. Each squad is allowed to

:13:37.:13:42.

select three overage players. The irony was that a mistake made in the

:13:43.:13:48.

opening 25 seconds from Honduras was from their oldest player in the

:13:49.:13:58.

team, Palacios. Gabrial Jesus was trying to get around the back and

:13:59.:14:01.

when they string together those passes, Honduras, they don't have an

:14:02.:14:08.

answer. Superb play from Neymar. Lovely ball. Oh, he's offside.

:14:09.:14:18.

Possibly overelaborate that time, Gabriel Jesus trying to setup

:14:19.:14:22.

Barbosa. The way Honduras gifted position to Brazil to set up the

:14:23.:14:29.

build-up. That was a pass from Honduras that went horribly wrong.

:14:30.:14:34.

The flag actually went up before the pastor Barbosa. -- the pass to

:14:35.:14:44.

Barbosa. They keep getting caught out with the diagonal run, the

:14:45.:14:48.

straight ball. It was Neymar, recognising from the position he was

:14:49.:14:55.

in before, trying to play Barbosa in and over hitting it. In the first

:14:56.:15:04.

half, Neymar took a real battering, he was pulled and pushed, he was hit

:15:05.:15:09.

from behind, he had his hand trodden on and his ribs bruised by the

:15:10.:15:14.

goalkeeper. It didn't stop him demanding the ball and orchestrating

:15:15.:15:17.

it, didn't stop him from leading by example. That is the first time that

:15:18.:15:24.

the Brazil keeper has been put under any pressure. The first real crust

:15:25.:15:29.

they got into the area as well, decent ball played in. -- the first

:15:30.:15:34.

cross. The keeper did well to read it.

:15:35.:15:44.

Penalised for a high boot more than anything else. He was trying to

:15:45.:15:55.

attract the referee's attention to the file. I am not surprised Brazil

:15:56.:16:00.

are making changes, or at least the first of them. Rodrigo Caio, who was

:16:01.:16:07.

booked in the first half, has been projected from a second yellow and a

:16:08.:16:11.

potential suspension for the final on Saturday. He will celebrate his

:16:12.:16:15.

23rd birthday by enjoying the remaining 35 minutes of this game

:16:16.:16:17.

from the comfort of the dugout. On in his stead comes Luan. They

:16:18.:16:42.

don't need to take risks in this position. We will probably see one

:16:43.:16:49.

of the attacking players being brought off to rest as well, perhaps

:16:50.:16:56.

Neymar. Over the next 15 minutes, I can see substitutions being made to

:16:57.:17:00.

give players enough time on the pitch as well if they are called

:17:01.:17:01.

upon in the final. Gabriel Barbosa site down, and a

:17:02.:17:43.

card is coming. It was a poor challenge from Jonathan Pryce. He is

:17:44.:17:48.

frustrated, of course. Excellent skill from Barbosa.

:17:49.:18:03.

It is baking hot. The home supporters against you are singing

:18:04.:18:11.

and chanting every time your opponents are touching the ball. A

:18:12.:18:19.

drop of the shoulder here, a flick of the head there. He decides to

:18:20.:18:25.

take the law into his own hands and he is yellow carded. The 60th minute

:18:26.:18:31.

of a one-sided contest that has been thoroughly enjoyed by those inside

:18:32.:18:35.

the Maracana and those throughout Brazil. The only question that

:18:36.:18:40.

remains is just how many can Brazil score today?

:18:41.:18:50.

Brazil will want to keep this record going off no goals conceded

:18:51.:18:56.

throughout the tournament. It bodes well for them in the gold medal

:18:57.:19:07.

match. We watched the earlier games, particularly the two goalless draws

:19:08.:19:20.

that were involved, and the rare occasions that Weverton was tested,

:19:21.:19:24.

he did look like he might crack under the pressure. So it is a nice,

:19:25.:19:28.

quiet afternoon for him today to give him belief. One can certainly

:19:29.:19:34.

predict that against Germany or Nigeria, he will be tested and that

:19:35.:19:41.

back four will have more work to do. Kevin, you made the point that when

:19:42.:19:44.

they were tested a bit during that first half, they were excellent out

:19:45.:19:49.

of possession as well as in it. They pressed well as a team. They pressed

:19:50.:19:51.

high and quickly. It was a bad mistake from Palacios,

:19:52.:20:13.

gifting Neymar the first goal. But without the ball, they were causing

:20:14.:20:18.

problems. Honduras were a bit slack in possession, giving the ball away

:20:19.:20:23.

time and time again. Brazil had a few bodies ran the ball to then go

:20:24.:20:24.

on the attack quickly. A lot of noise is being generated

:20:25.:20:52.

around the Maracana from jubilant supporters, who I'm sure will be

:20:53.:20:55.

clamouring for tickets for the final on Saturday. In many ways, it is how

:20:56.:21:00.

the whole Olympics Timex is, with the men's Olympic final in the

:21:01.:21:05.

Maracana. Perhaps it would be fitting if Brazil can put on a show.

:21:06.:21:09.

Another yellow card for another poor challenge. Palacios' afternoon

:21:10.:21:17.

started dreadfully and has got worse. It is a poor ball again. Once

:21:18.:21:29.

you have got Gabriel Jesus, you know it will be difficult to stop him.

:21:30.:21:34.

Clear obstruction. It is a cynical foul am the referee with no choice

:21:35.:21:40.

but to give the yellow card. That is the fourth yellow card he has

:21:41.:21:44.

suffered. One in every game he has played. Neymar has had two site is

:21:45.:21:54.

from free kicks, and hit them both into the centre of the war. You

:21:55.:22:02.

would not put it past Neymar. Some toss is there as well. -- Santos.

:22:03.:22:19.

Saved again. One player who can come out of this with credit is Luis

:22:20.:22:28.

Lopez, who has made possibly four really good stops. And that was

:22:29.:22:35.

perhaps the best of them, because he had to make his way over to tip it

:22:36.:22:44.

round. Get himself across very well, Lopez. Is the marking going to be

:22:45.:22:49.

any better from this corner for Honduras? Garcia claims that should

:22:50.:22:59.

be another corner. The referee says goalkick. Brazil's front four have

:23:00.:23:12.

banged in all the goals so far in the tournament.

:23:13.:23:25.

Two for Neymar sofa in the competition, for Jesus, two for

:23:26.:23:34.

Barbosa, two for Luan Vieira. It shows that when chances are created,

:23:35.:23:44.

they will take them. Marquinhos was the exception. So whoever does meet

:23:45.:23:49.

Brazil on Saturday knows they will have to be at their disciplined

:23:50.:23:54.

best. There is a bit of defending to do.

:23:55.:24:12.

It is worth reiterating that Brazil have yet to concede. 0-0 against

:24:13.:24:26.

South Africa and Iraq, 4-0 against Colombia, 4-0 against Honduras. You

:24:27.:24:33.

can't be much more impressive than that defensively. That is a fact.

:24:34.:24:50.

Gabriel Barbosa thought about going over there for the penalty, decided

:24:51.:24:57.

to stay on his feet. At last, maybe Honduras can stretch Brazil.

:24:58.:25:09.

Weverton is there to gather it in. That is probably the most he has

:25:10.:25:15.

been extended in this much. He took a bang and might need some

:25:16.:25:22.

treatment. I think he wants a rest from all the work he has had in this

:25:23.:25:25.

game! It has been comfortable for him. Just takes a nasty belt at the

:25:26.:25:35.

end. I think it was a genuine attempt to play the ball. But it

:25:36.:25:42.

doesn't lessen the pain for the goalkeeper. There is an intriguing

:25:43.:25:57.

story about Weverton, because originally, the overage goalkeeper

:25:58.:26:03.

was a 38-year-old Fernando Prass, who at the end of his career was

:26:04.:26:07.

given the opportunity to be the goalkeeper for this tournament. It

:26:08.:26:13.

was a big story in Brazil. It was one of those were everywhere you

:26:14.:26:17.

went, Brazilian supporters were talking about how this goalkeeper

:26:18.:26:20.

who had never been capped at any level, at the age of 38 was being

:26:21.:26:23.

given the chance to be the custodian for the Olympic site. Well,

:26:24.:26:31.

unfortunately, he picked up an injury and he was out and Weverton

:26:32.:26:37.

was in. Here comes one of the expected changes. Gabriel Jesus is

:26:38.:26:40.

not going to get himself a hat-trick. Instead, he has given 23

:26:41.:26:50.

or 24 minutes off to prepare for the goal final on Saturday. And the man

:26:51.:26:54.

who got Manchester City the thick end of ?30 million and has grabbed

:26:55.:27:00.

himself goals number two and three of the tournament makes way for

:27:01.:27:05.

Lazio's Felipe Anderson, who did start the 32nd games when Brazil

:27:06.:27:08.

drew a blank and have sapped out ever since. Gabriel Jesus has had a

:27:09.:27:17.

very good game. Of course, his goals have highlighted that. But we were

:27:18.:27:26.

both impressed with him, pressing high. For a lot of City fans, they

:27:27.:27:38.

will be very impressed with him. He is a palm air -- player on loan

:27:39.:27:46.

until January. Don't be surprised if they maybe put him on loan again

:27:47.:27:49.

somewhere. I am not sure that should have been

:27:50.:28:13.

flagged. Gabriel Barbosa might have been too advanced but I think he is

:28:14.:28:23.

onside. But does it really matter, with 20 minutes to go? Exactly. Just

:28:24.:28:35.

get on with it. This game has been put to bed.

:28:36.:28:50.

I will take the opportunity to pay a complement to Neymar, because he was

:28:51.:28:55.

in real discomfort scoring the opening goal within 25 seconds or

:28:56.:29:00.

so. In many ways, he could have passed up the opportunity to even

:29:01.:29:05.

represent his country. It is not an obligation for Barcelona to release

:29:06.:29:10.

a player, and indeed am a Manchester City passed up the opportunity to

:29:11.:29:15.

allow Iheanacho to represent Nigeria, for example. There are many

:29:16.:29:19.

other examples of teams who have resisted the temptation to allow

:29:20.:29:23.

their player to represent 13 in the Olympics, but Neymar not only

:29:24.:29:26.

insisted on playing and Barcelona were happy to let him go, but he

:29:27.:29:29.

could have given way to injury today. He has taken many a battering

:29:30.:29:36.

in this match, and he is still out there with 20 minutes to go, 20

:29:37.:29:44.

minutes that are pretty academic in the swing of things, and he is still

:29:45.:29:47.

happy to take the blows for his country. You talked about the first

:29:48.:29:51.

couple of games where they struggled for creativity within the side.

:29:52.:29:56.

Neymar faced a lot of criticism, particularly after that Iraq game,

:29:57.:30:02.

from supporters and the media, questioning the captaincy of the

:30:03.:30:07.

side. And you know what happened two years ago. So for him to represent

:30:08.:30:11.

his country and captain the side in the final will be a big occasion for

:30:12.:30:22.

him. I am sure he has started to recuperate from that broken bone in

:30:23.:30:25.

his lower back that prevented him from playing for Brazil in the

:30:26.:30:28.

semifinal of the Fifa World Cup two years ago. And he has started to

:30:29.:30:33.

reflect on that and a missed opportunity you had to get his team

:30:34.:30:38.

to the final. He probably thought to himself, I wonder if I might get the

:30:39.:30:42.

chance to make amends in the Olympics in my country in two years'

:30:43.:30:49.

time, and whether that feeling of determination, the professionalism

:30:50.:30:53.

within him, that fire that burns within all the great players, might

:30:54.:30:59.

just be the thing that helps Brazil to get that gold medal at the

:31:00.:31:00.

weekend. The skipper, who was booked in the

:31:01.:31:20.

first half, making way. And the Captain's armband goes to Luis

:31:21.:31:29.

Lopez. The captain's armband on the opponent's goalkeeper. Enjoying the

:31:30.:31:34.

day, Neymar. Fabulous stance to the match. Enjoyed it throughout. --

:31:35.:31:41.

start to the match. That's where Honduras have struggled, simple

:31:42.:31:44.

passes like that, giving the ball away, allowing pressure to be built

:31:45.:31:52.

upon them. Brazil, the scoreline suggests they have exploited that

:31:53.:31:55.

badly, severely punishing them when they've given the ball away. That

:31:56.:32:06.

possession stats, enormously in favour of Brazil. That's a foul,

:32:07.:32:11.

another free kick, another poll on Gabriel Barbosa, from Honduras

:32:12.:32:13.

giving the ball away unnecessarily -- pull. Pulling the shorts, it is a

:32:14.:32:37.

yellow card offence, and Espinal receives that. Time and time again,

:32:38.:32:39.

we've seen the same incident happening. I think Brayan Garcia was

:32:40.:32:49.

booked although I'm fairly sure Espinal pulled the shorts of

:32:50.:32:55.

Barbosa. Yes, it's been corrected. The fact is it's a free kick to

:32:56.:33:00.

Brazil and Neymar hit the first three pretty poorly. The third one

:33:01.:33:08.

required a save, in fairness. Surely the law of averages suggests he

:33:09.:33:12.

might score with one of them today, and he hasn't... It has, it has

:33:13.:33:17.

crept in! I thought it had gone in the side netting. Maybe it's an

:33:18.:33:22.

optical illusion, maybe it has gone in the side netting. It's a

:33:23.:33:28.

difficult one to call, isn't it? It is the side netting, I thought it

:33:29.:33:33.

was and then suddenly... One third of the ground were cheering and you

:33:34.:33:39.

rub your eyes and it was the side netting and it stays 4-0. It's how

:33:40.:33:44.

it bounced up as well, it looked as if it was in the net. The first two

:33:45.:33:53.

went into the wall and the third one was saved well by Lopez and the

:33:54.:33:59.

fourth one went into the side netting, deceiving one third of the

:34:00.:34:03.

Maracana. It is 4-0, not five. Sometimes you can be proven wrong

:34:04.:34:20.

from the early five, six minutes of the game. We've seen that Honduras

:34:21.:34:26.

were giving the ball away and Brazil were finding it too easy to

:34:27.:34:32.

breakdown the barrier. When Luis Lopez was stopped with Brazil at 1-0

:34:33.:34:38.

up at close range, the warning signs were apparent and I'm afraid the

:34:39.:34:44.

pattern of play from the Honduras perspective hasn't altered one bit

:34:45.:34:48.

from the opening five minutes of the contest. It hasn't, they haven't

:34:49.:34:53.

learned from their mistakes, continuously making elementary

:34:54.:34:58.

mistakes. A young side who have got to learn their trade. That is the

:34:59.:35:01.

difference between the top players and the lesser players, the ability

:35:02.:35:06.

to recognise situations. When you make one mistake, even twice, don't

:35:07.:35:12.

make it again, certainly not the amount of mistakes that hand --

:35:13.:35:20.

Honduras have made. With a quarter of an hour to go, the substitution.

:35:21.:35:28.

Honduras have a squad of top players on their country. Felipe Anderson of

:35:29.:35:39.

Lazio, supplementing what they already have out there. The number

:35:40.:35:42.

of talented players they have at their disposal compared to those

:35:43.:35:47.

available to Honduras, means we must take into perspective in that

:35:48.:35:52.

reaching the semifinals is a magnificent achievement in itself

:35:53.:35:56.

and cannot be underestimated. Of course not, that's the big thing.

:35:57.:36:02.

Such a vast number of players to choose from as well, Brazil. On the

:36:03.:36:08.

home soil, you said it, this is the medal that they wanted. If they are

:36:09.:36:12.

going to win one Gold Medal, this is what most supporters would have

:36:13.:36:18.

wanted, for the football side. So, Honduras have done great to get to

:36:19.:36:21.

this stage but they've been outclassed in every department in

:36:22.:36:29.

this match. Bearing in mind the additional weight of expectation

:36:30.:36:37.

with the Brazilian women having lost the night before, they couldn't have

:36:38.:36:42.

wished for a better start than that mistake by Honduras in the opening

:36:43.:36:46.

25 seconds which gifted them the opening goal. From then on, it's

:36:47.:36:57.

been plain sailing. Brazil have won a view Gold Medal is already in

:36:58.:37:02.

these Olympics and they have many stars of track and field and so on.

:37:03.:37:11.

But this is ostensibly a football nation, where everywhere you go

:37:12.:37:15.

throughout the country, someone is kicking a ball, whatever age, on the

:37:16.:37:23.

beach or on the streets. It is a nation who have been incredibly

:37:24.:37:28.

successful in international football competition. But who have never won

:37:29.:37:36.

a Gold Medal. This site are going to be in the Gold Medal final and they

:37:37.:37:40.

are going to be playing like this, looking for number five and it is

:37:41.:37:45.

just exquisite to watch. Luan makes it a rout. Whatever else you are

:37:46.:37:55.

doing Saturday evening, tried to get yourself in front of a TV for the

:37:56.:38:03.

Gold Medal final -- try. Brazil are going to be in it and with this kind

:38:04.:38:07.

of irresistible football and quality on show, it is going to be a Gold

:38:08.:38:11.

Medal final that's going to be worth watching, Kevin Kilbane. Certainly

:38:12.:38:17.

is. Breathtaking break away from Brazil. From the left back position,

:38:18.:38:25.

a driving run full Wood. Freeing up Luan and he had the awareness, he

:38:26.:38:31.

knew, Luan, if he took the strike on the ankle he had, he could see

:38:32.:38:38.

Philippe Anderson arriving. Simple tap in for him but the work that

:38:39.:38:44.

went into the goal was outstanding. Brilliant finish and a brilliantly

:38:45.:38:49.

worked goal from Brazil. We've had all sorts of goals, really, the

:38:50.:38:54.

bravery of Neymar, bundling in the opener, we have had the team goal

:38:55.:39:00.

like that, we have had one from the corner, we have had a splitting

:39:01.:39:06.

pass: two occasions Gabriel Jesus has finished it, one on one. The

:39:07.:39:11.

repertoire has been there to admire. Out of possession, excellent when

:39:12.:39:17.

they've needed to be, they've yet to concede a goal in the tournament,

:39:18.:39:22.

all the ingredients are in place. Nigeria and Germany, when they meet

:39:23.:39:26.

in the semifinal, they know that will be a contest in itself. Whoever

:39:27.:39:31.

wins that, they'll have to work very hard to deny what the host nation

:39:32.:39:40.

will demand, Brazilian gold in the men's football tournament. That's

:39:41.:39:48.

the sort of goal as well that we seem, as a boy growing up, famous

:39:49.:39:58.

team goals that Brazil score -- we've seen. What an outstanding team

:39:59.:39:59.

goal that was. Is that a save? Might have got a

:40:00.:40:16.

piece of it, the goalkeeper. A decent strike. 5-0 down. The first

:40:17.:40:23.

time that he's had to make a genuine save. He public could have courted

:40:24.:40:29.

but you can understand why he tempted around the post. These and

:40:30.:40:36.

enough strike from Banegas. -- a decent enough strike. The first time

:40:37.:40:40.

the keeper has had to make any kind of save in the match. Honduras

:40:41.:40:44.

playing for pride now. Who would deny them a goal? The answer is

:40:45.:40:54.

Weverton, and even he is getting a work-out before the Gold Medal

:40:55.:40:59.

final. His reactions, a good save, getting back across the goal. It was

:41:00.:41:02.

struck well enough, well worked corner as well. Elis was denied on

:41:03.:41:16.

this occasion. Lovely play. Taking the quick free kick, Garcia,

:41:17.:41:20.

excellent run down the wing and he had the awareness as well. Not many

:41:21.:41:25.

options centrally. Elis got enough purchase on the strike but Weverton

:41:26.:41:29.

getting back across goal. Wrong-footed as well, he did well to

:41:30.:41:33.

adjust, a good save from the Brazilian goalkeeper. The fifth

:41:34.:41:44.

successive clean sheet, the final requirement for Brazil. How many

:41:45.:41:52.

international teams have reached the final of a major tournament having

:41:53.:41:58.

not conceded a single goal? I'm going to stick my neck out and say

:41:59.:42:03.

that no team has ever done it. I'm sure people will correct me, sweet

:42:04.:42:11.

or e-mail if you can think of one -- tweet. Certainly at this level, not

:42:12.:42:18.

that I can remember. Seven minutes plus what may be two or three added

:42:19.:42:23.

minutes of added time to keep a clean sheet to get themselves to the

:42:24.:42:28.

Gold Medal final, completely faultless at the back. They've

:42:29.:42:36.

scored 11 goals, conceding none, Brazil. The front four have all gone

:42:37.:42:45.

on target at least twice. The goalkeeper has made a couple of

:42:46.:42:50.

saves to build up his confidence. Don't appear to have picked up any

:42:51.:42:55.

injuries either. It will be a sell-out crowd at the Maracana on

:42:56.:43:05.

Saturday. It's all set up. I'll tell you, Nigeria and Germany, whoever

:43:06.:43:10.

wins that second semifinal will not be pushovers, especially Germany.

:43:11.:43:19.

They've proven in the past they are party bloopers and then some.

:43:20.:43:26.

Anderson wanting it on the far side. Isn't going to reach him.

:43:27.:43:35.

Barbosa, I think it should have been passed. He didn't see it. Luan

:43:36.:43:50.

getting it back. The backheel was neat from Rafinha but there was no

:43:51.:43:54.

picture post book end to that move. A pity.

:43:55.:44:06.

You think of the right backs for Brazil, those who have that

:44:07.:44:14.

metronomic engine, he hasn't been called on to do it, Zika. Delightful

:44:15.:44:25.

from Walace. He has been faultless. Barbosa with the shot over the bar.

:44:26.:44:33.

Worth mentioning those two in holding midfield, Renato has gone

:44:34.:44:39.

off but he has been for plus, protecting the centre half players

:44:40.:44:45.

with ease and comfort. They seem to have the right ingredients through

:44:46.:44:48.

the team, don't they? Providing support to the attack as well, very

:44:49.:44:58.

little forward movement from them. They've been struggled, isolated,

:44:59.:45:02.

not able to come out, giving it a Walace. That has been the standout

:45:03.:45:07.

factor from the game, no real pressure from the defensive point of

:45:08.:45:19.

view. Trying to get a consolation. The referee says play on and

:45:20.:45:26.

Weverton took one for the team. None of the Brazilian defenders can get

:45:27.:45:31.

close to him. It was a good challenge from Garcia. He needed to

:45:32.:45:37.

make sure that he got the ball as well because it could have been a

:45:38.:45:40.

red card offence. Looking for the penalty, Elis. Garcia's boot went

:45:41.:45:48.

into the area of which we cannot speak of Weverton.

:45:49.:45:57.

Well, this is a site that was, I suppose, a complete contrast to what

:45:58.:46:05.

we saw two years ago in the final of the Fifa World Cup against Germany.

:46:06.:46:08.

They never had the opportunity to let their emotions gets released.

:46:09.:46:14.

They never had the opportunity to celebrate and jump and thing. They

:46:15.:46:18.

never had the opportunity to see their team, the host nation, in the

:46:19.:46:23.

final. But they are going to see it in the Olympic final. They will see

:46:24.:46:26.

it in the Maracana on Saturday evening. And a population in excess

:46:27.:46:34.

of 200 million, those old enough to watch it, trust me, they will be in

:46:35.:46:38.

front of their TV screens and the pressure will be on the coach to

:46:39.:46:51.

deliver. Three silvers and two bronzes or that Brazil have been

:46:52.:46:57.

able to boast. Five times, they may have won the World Cup, but this has

:46:58.:47:02.

proved elusive, this crop of largely under 23 players may well have the

:47:03.:47:07.

opportunity to deliver. The way they have played today and the manner in

:47:08.:47:12.

which they have defended when they have needed to suggests that they

:47:13.:47:17.

will be overwhelming favourites. Perhaps it might only be the weight

:47:18.:47:25.

of expectation that might stop them. A number of factors. Mentally, can

:47:26.:47:29.

be handled the pressure? There is expectation on their shoulders and

:47:30.:47:35.

we will also see a sterner test from Nigeria or Germany, whoever wins the

:47:36.:47:40.

other semifinal. But as you say, on tonight's showing, with the

:47:41.:47:43.

experience they have got and the class of players they have got, it

:47:44.:47:47.

would be difficult for anyone to stop Brazil. Of course, we will

:47:48.:47:55.

bring you coverage of the second semifinal, Nigeria and Germany. That

:47:56.:48:01.

kicks off in roughly an hour and a quarter, for the right to meet

:48:02.:48:06.

Brazil in the gold medal final. Honduras, of course, will be in the

:48:07.:48:07.

bronze medal game on Saturday. We have alluded to that infamous

:48:08.:48:27.

semifinal between Brazil and Germany, where Brazil were out of

:48:28.:48:31.

sight within half an hour. It was a humiliation and the like of which

:48:32.:48:34.

this proud country had never witnessed before. Wouldn't it just

:48:35.:48:40.

be fitting if it was a Brazil- German final on Saturday? Neymar

:48:41.:48:48.

goes for gold, and is denied by Luis Lopez, who has made five or six

:48:49.:48:53.

excellent stops tonight. Neymar did well. He didn't have many options.

:48:54.:49:01.

Challenged from behind. The referee says, I have no choice. You may be

:49:02.:49:07.

five goals down, it may be the 90th minute, but I am going to point to

:49:08.:49:12.

the spot. It will be an opportunity for goal number six. Neymar says, I

:49:13.:49:20.

would take it, thank you. Any doubts, Kevin? Not at all. I don't

:49:21.:49:24.

know why Palacio is going for the ball. Glaciers has had a nightmare.

:49:25.:49:35.

Defensively, he has been extremely poor. In possession, he has been

:49:36.:49:40.

poor. It has just been one of those days for him. Well, there is a

:49:41.:49:47.

degree of symmetry about this. A Palacio 's mistake in the opening

:49:48.:49:50.

seconds of the match gave Neymar the chance to open the scoring. I

:49:51.:49:53.

Palacio 's error may well allow Neymar to put the final touches on

:49:54.:50:02.

this one-sided Olympic semifinal. Neymar started the scoring. Neymar

:50:03.:50:13.

completes the scoring! Brazil six, Honduras zero. And the gold medal

:50:14.:50:21.

final beckons for the host nation. You can probably hear 200 million

:50:22.:50:25.

people right across this huge country, all celebrating as one.

:50:26.:50:31.

They have wanted this gold medal more than any other. On Saturday,

:50:32.:50:37.

Brazil, Neymar as their captain, will be battling it out for it. The

:50:38.:50:41.

semifinal from the very first minute to the last has belonged to Brazil,

:50:42.:50:53.

has belonged to Neymar. 6-0. And despite the errors that Honduras

:50:54.:50:56.

have made tonight, and they have made many, Brazil have been

:50:57.:51:03.

irresistible. They certainly have. Great celebrations for Neymar.

:51:04.:51:11.

Lovely penalty. Neymar just waiting for Lopez to dive to his left, and

:51:12.:51:16.

stroking it away to the corner, in off the post. As you say, it has

:51:17.:51:20.

capped off a brilliant display from Neymar personally, and the team.

:51:21.:51:24.

This could have been double-figure tonight. Outstanding play from

:51:25.:51:31.

Brazil. The referee brings to an end one of the most impressive

:51:32.:51:37.

performances of the entire tournament. Two years ago, at the

:51:38.:51:43.

semifinal stage, Brazil, in their own World Cup, capitulated to

:51:44.:51:50.

Germany and were beaten infamously 7-1. The contrast to today could not

:51:51.:51:56.

be greater. Six goals that began in the first minute through Neymar,

:51:57.:52:02.

ended in the 90th minute through Neymar. Two goals for Gabriel Jesus,

:52:03.:52:08.

one for Luan, one for Marquinhos. Brazil are in the gold medal final.

:52:09.:52:14.

The Maracana will end the weekend's events of this wonderful Olympics

:52:15.:52:18.

here in their own country. Will Brazil cap it all with a gold medal?

:52:19.:52:27.

Final school, 6-0. The gold medal final beckons for the hosts -- final

:52:28.:52:30.

score. STUDIO: Well, it was a rout in the

:52:31.:52:47.

end, wasn't it? Six goals for Brazil against Honduras. The important

:52:48.:52:52.

thing is, there are still in the hunt for that first Olympic football

:52:53.:52:53.

gold medal. They are into the final. Brazil in the final, guys? Yeah!

:52:54.:53:10.

They are happy. They are very happy. I am sure the feeling is the same

:53:11.:53:13.

down on Copacabana Beach, Dan Walker?

:53:14.:53:18.

Yes, we have very happy people here. No, we haven't. They have been up

:53:19.:53:25.

and down the bars, enjoying themselves, celebrating Brazil's

:53:26.:53:30.

impressive victory. Yesterday as Ore has been telling you, the Brazilian

:53:31.:53:33.

women failed to reach the gold medal match and there was a mixture of

:53:34.:53:37.

success and failure in the beach volleyball as well. The women's top

:53:38.:53:40.

seeds didn't manage to make the gold medal match, but the men's top seeds

:53:41.:53:45.

are through to the gold medal in the beach volleyball. It is day 12. We

:53:46.:53:50.

will be here on Copacabana Beach for you for the next few hours. It is a

:53:51.:53:56.

beautiful day, about 30 degrees. The beach is packed, the short sleeves

:53:57.:53:59.

are out. There is a suggestion I might have shorts on for the first

:54:00.:54:03.

time, but I am not going to show you the legs. This is all on the way for

:54:04.:54:12.

worth your attention. It is brilliant to watch. Liam Phillips of

Team GB is one of the favourites. 2012, he got the final and crashed

out. Could this be his time to shine in Rio?

He really does want a pair of white trousers, Ore. Right, let's start

:57:12.:57:16.

with some basketball for you on BBC Four, where the dream team are the

:57:17.:57:19.

clear favourites for the competition. They have won many

showed you that game a week ago where Australia pushed them all the

:57:27.:57:32.

way. For the quarterfinals, let's show you how that is going to pan

:57:33.:57:34.

out. Let's head to the Carioca Arena 2

:57:35.:58:04.

and join the game live. Spain are leading. We join this one in the

second quarter. Mike Carlson and Mark Chester are the commentary

:58:31.:58:32.

the Olympic Games. Whatever stage you want. We haven't quite seen the

build today. He lost the ball and then recovered it. Knowing that he

:59:43.:59:50.

:59:55.:00:00.

referee any excuse to look at him. This gives fans the opportunity to

:00:01.:00:06.

Parker to get them within one shot -- it gives France the opportunity.

:00:07.:00:16.

They are giving hurtle and unsportsmanlike deliberate foul, but

:00:17.:00:21.
