Warrington Wolves versus Wigan Warriors. The Challenge Cup winners,

the Wigan wor yors. -- Wigan warriers. Warrington are looking for

a double, their own. Wigan and Warrington's ways to this final

mirror images of each other. The warriors beat Huddersfield. What a

mirror images of each other. The great try! The Wolves beat

Huddersfield. Tears all around for Huddersfield. Wigan beat Leeds.

Surely to win it for Wigan. It is the try that takes them there.

Warrington beat Leeds. A try! Number for for Westwood. What a day he is

having and what a day Warrington are having. Warringtons have Wigan. Who

will reflect on a famous victory, whose dreams will be shattered? The

last time these met here was in 1987 for the old Premiership final chl

Wigan one 8-0. Three years later they met in the Challenge Cup, the

last major final they contested. That is a bad one. He can go the

full length of the field. That is a try and a half. Mark Preston! And

there is a try! Edwards! A magnificent tackle, but Preston's

gives the Wolves a chance to aven last year's defeat to Leeds. And

Wigan's prospects looked slim a few weeks ago, but a disciplined

performance against Leeds means they are only 80 minutes from that rare

double. I am joined by two men who know a thing about winning the

final. Brian, let's look back on last week's secondy finals. -- semi

finals. Both coaches said they needed to step up. The Wigan/Leeds

game was brutal. Warrington will look to execute better. They created

great player. But they have a good squad, Warrington and they will know

lot of the players are leaving, Carvell and Morley and others. Is

this the last chance for the players. They have put a good squad

together and the last game, the bench helped them. You're right,

they have a lot of experienced players and they have more players

over the age of 30. This is probably their time. But you only get 80

minutes to test that. I believe that they have had a better preparation

and they haven't had the Challenge Cup to worry about and they can time

their run. Waterhouse is a loss, but they come in with good form and they

have won 13 of their lavs 14 -- last 14 games. Wigan have players leaving

as well, including Sam Tompkins. This is a good run from Sam

Tompkins. Here he goes. Wigan look to strike again. Sam Tompkins

somehow finding a way through. Here he goes - there he goes! Sam

Tompkins, the genius! So how important for Warrington will it be

to keep Tompkins quiet? Its important, because he is not only

the best player in Super League, he has skill and his ability to run at

top speed. We look at it all the time in Grand Finals and the

forwards create the momentum. They have got the win the ruck to get you

time to get the ball out to Tompkins. He needs time and space.

If you give him #2350i78 and space -- if you give him time and space,

he will kill you. He is their main danger. Looking at the selection for

Wigan. No Logan Tompkins on the bench? It is a brave move, love

Lynne hasn't -- love Lynne -- they have added some football around

there. McIlorum can play 80 minutes. Who do you think will win? I think

Warrington have the forwards to win it. And they have the better bench.

I think it is evening out. Just Warrington. We will see if they're

is only an 11th Cup Final meeting ever between two of the most famous

names in Rugby League. And it could be a farewell to a posse of players.

Under the flood lights at Old Trafford, this is an electrifying

atmosphere. What a night and what an occasion. The Grand Final 20 13. So

let's have a look at the way they line up tonight. Warrington's second

row, Trent Waterhouse failed to shake off an injury and Wolves have

three players playing their final game for the club and they're all on

the bench. Plenty of emotion for a Wigan side who have also three

making their final appearance - Tom Kinnels, Richards and Mossom all

heading to the NRL. -- Tompkins. Gamble or not, the next if the 80

The mood is it could be one of more memorable Grand Finals. We shall

see. Jonathan, Davies, how do you see this one? It is a difficult one

This is all on the day. It is a tough one to call. If anything, I

just might favour Warrington, because they might have more

attacking options. That is about it. But they have got to close this man

down, straightaway. He is given plenty of room to run. He said he

will bottle up the emotions before the game. He is in good company in

around the face. Yes. Ooh, Ben Westwood swinging the arm. That is a

had seen -- referees had seen that it would be a sending off. They're

making sure he is OK. Looking at what response they can get to make

sure whether he is fit to continue. Having needed oxygen he is on his

feet. All the crowd will have seen that on the big screen. And the

referee now is going to put this on report I think. He is calling ought

Loughlin and Briers. I have not seen anything on the tackle. He is going

on report. He is on report and the disciplinary panel will have a look

at that. He is looking bemused and innocent, but the pictures would

suggest otherwise. Hill put the foot down. A head down

Wigan were threatening to build the momentum.

He knocked it on and Warrington survived. It does not look very

confident in that defence. They are getting away with it. They are

getting away with it. They created a two on one. He knows it. Not a

happy man. . Richards off loads. Knock on. Wigan get another set and

there is still another two and a half to the end of the half. Plenty

of time. That is a great battle between the two Australian wingers.

Monaghan looks in a bad way. He must have got his head on the wrong side.

That is it. Watch where he gets his head, bang! Hit bone and you see he

has gone straightaway. After a lengthy but necessary delay, as the

medical staff make sure they get everything right before carrying

Joel Monaghan away towards the dressing rooms for further

treatment. It is an accidental blow to the head, but that doesn't make

it any less painful and his absence for the rest of the game, which

seems certain will be felt by Warrington. He is a huge attacking

option, the kick to the corner. They have already scored one try from a

magnificent take. After that very long delay, it is a question of who

has got the concentration and who has kept the concentration. Wigan

with an opportunitiment Tompkins and Goulding spins and scores the try

that drags Wigan right back into the contest. Wigan seizing their moment

and a Grand Final that slipping between their fingers is now back in

their grasp - just about. Well they have threatened it and threatened

it. It is the same play with the dummy run. The extra man from full

back. Try and stop us if you can, that is what they're saying. They

have the confidence and belief that they can score against anyone. They

keep on trying it and picking the right man. They tried a few

to look around. He would have preferred that play quicker.

Warrington inching closer and closer. That is tackle four. There

is still a couple of tackles to go. Great tackle, Tompkins. There is

still one to go. Farrell having taken it has to get out of tl and he

-- out of there and he does. Well done Farrell. But he is driven back.

Might have been tempted to leave that, but it was the safety first

option. There is the little kick. Smith cease it charged down, but

they pick it up again and they get another set. They get another six.

What about that for a result for Wigan? That a bit of luck. Great

chase. Two Warrington players are on a chase. The bounce favours Wigan

and now the penalty, which will put the Wolves under pressure.

Matty Smith will kick it away. What a difference from the charge down.

Had that taken a difference bounce, Warrington might have been under the

sticks. Now Wigan have the chance at the other end. Can they make the

most of that lucky bounce? Great tackle Lee Briers. Read that

so well. Warrington dealing with this

defence so far. Up goes McIll Rop, who -- McIlorum and Wigan are right

try of the night and they're back within six points. From when they

play the ball, away, Carvell. McIlorum, one marker,

a simple try. But watch, he goes and Carvell's gone the other way and

turned his back. And sudden think they have got reason -- and suddenly

Back to basics now for Warrington. Momentum is with Wigan. Just take it

to the sidelines, so another concern for Warrington with Ratchford

looking looking unlikely to return at this stage and makes the load

Goulding will put the kick to the corner and Charnley scores for

Wigan. They have turned it right around. Right around! Is he off

you. I will be surprised if he is off side. They're going to the video

referee to make absolutely certain. Goulding's kick. It is fight. -- it

Warrington's favour -- at 16-2 in Warrington's favour, they looked

down and out. But parity has been achieved. Just watch the kick. As

the kick comes through, the kick is there, the full back is Riley, not

Ratchford. Ratchford is off, of course. Just watch the bounce. They

put it through the hands, the kick is on and then the bounce is

important. It favours Wigan. A bit of Grand Final history could be

made, no side has come from three scores down to win it. But now

Richards' goal takes them back into the lead at 18-16. But there are

still twists and turns to come. Warrington's injuries could be

critical. They're missing two real strike players in Ratchford and

Monaghan. T ball has been dropped, but the

referee said it was stolen. So he will be called back and it is a

penalty for Wigan. Let's have a look. Yes. Penalty, right decision,

the hand goes in, that is a penalty. And again the kick will put them in

a good position. Ratchford is back with us again. But

whether he plays or not. Or whether he returns or not I should say,

remains to be seen. I don't think so.

Wigan going for the kill here. Green with the step and Green with the try

that might just win it for Wigan. Plenty, plenty to go in this game.

But the man who was floored in the opening two minutes might just have

delivered a knockout blow to Warrington in return. One pass,

throws the dummy. And he has gone through Morley's tackle. It is a

high tackle. Green scores. And for once he gets off his seat with a

smile on his face, Shaun Wane. Well Pat Richards puts this over and it

is a two-score lead and he does put it over! And Wigan lead by 24-16.

From somewhere Warrington have to find a couple of tries.

They came here 12 monthsing a and -- 12 months ago and had the heart

brake of losing to Leeds. They won't want to co-that -- do that again.

That is a high tackle. The apology is offered. There is the high

tackle. He had him around the neck. Well, it is a penalty whatever. So

They are not making any inroads. Another six tackles for Warrington

to defend. The aim must be close to breaking point. Wigan are looking

to snap them. Over the top and Pat Richards will

have a try on his last night in a Wigan colours. For all those in

cherry and White, they could not have

30 points to 16. You would have thought it would have been an easy

night for Wigan. It has been anything but. Absolute confidence

they have achieved the double this season. Not long before he takes up

they have achieved the double this his Welsh duties.

congratulations. Pat Richards, what a dream ending to his Wigan career.

Wigan won it by 30 points to 16. You have done the double. It is

hard to believe that the Bill as a great win at Wembley. A bit slow

after that. -- hard to believe. It was a great win. You could not have

written a better script. An absolutely amazing eight years at

the club. I could not be happier. What a wave wheel within Korea to

end! I could not have asked for more. -- ate way for your Wigan

Korea to end. It is so special to end it like this. Midway through

Korea to end. It is so special to the first half, where you beginning

to wonder? Yes. I said once we start performing the way we can, we

will win and I'm very satisfied. We were really pleased with the first

half. The second half, we were way off. We defended our own ends just

about the whole second half. If you do that against Wigan, they will

hurt you. We played full 80 minutes and we got them in the end. When I

have given them into the ground, and we got them in the end. When I

they have come up trumps and performed. The second half was a

great effort. I have been a bit unlucky with the injury. It was

touch and go whether I would make it back. How special for you to be

man of the match? It is unbelievable - such a special

picking the right half-back partnership will start you will be

with us for the World Cup but you are heading back home. I have had a

great time in the UK but I'm going back home. I cannot thank everyone
