Hello and welcome to the programme. Week two of the Super League

play-offs. Let's remind you of what happened last week.

He might have a second. He does have a second! They have lost it! Catalan

Dragons dive on it. Wigan and St Helens have there we

got this huge -- this week. Castleford Tigers take on

Warrington. Huddersfield Giants take on Catalan. -- I have Brian Noble

with me. Did it surprise you? There were a couple of close games. Those

top two teams performed very well. John Wilkin said last week he

thought the bar had been set-the play-offs. Yes. He's Tom teams are

strong and physical. We have mentioned about defence. They are

strong defensively. He is not a bad judge. He admitted that St Helens

have been stunned by people writing them up despite finishing top of the

league. Were you surprised at how strong they work? No. You have two

Beringer backs this time of year. They look at attacking prowess. In

essence, it is about how well you can defend. Castleford are

dangerous. They dealt with things very well. They executed and played

and scored a lot of points. That is the sign of a good team. Surprised

to see Leeds go work? I think we all were. That does not take anything

away from Catalan Dragons. They defended well. Lead is absolutely

hammered them for the first 20 minutes. They show themselves that

even under pressure, they were durable. -- leads hammered them.

First up, we have got Castleford Tigers taking on Warrington. For one

of these two teams, the season will soon be over. This is Millington.

Wonderful run. Fabulous! That is a hat-trick for Joel Monaghan. No

second chances. No mistakes. We will be ready. It is play-off time.

Castleford have been collecting admirers as the year goes on. Their

season has been memorable. Twice this year have they been beaten at

the stadium. They would hate for it to fall flat. Castleford make some

changes. Mark Sneyd returns to the side. Daryl Clark starts at hooker.

Matty Russell does not take part for Warrington. He suffered a facial

injury. The referee is happy to allow play

Pressure counts but the Warrington Wolves. The charge down was

fortuitous. Nothing lucky about the finish. Atkins is over. Years of

the Australian who played here and was a team-mate of yours, Jonathan?

taken at a very young age and my thoughts are with his family. Clark

Their defence has kept them in this game. They have struggled in every

other facet of play. That is a lovely dummy. The chase is very

the air to try and make some sense of the situation. It is a desperate

of individual Williams. -- individual brilliance. He shines

like a diamond. They have not given up on their season. The plays and

that dummy run is all about creating space. He gets on the outside. That

is brilliant. Warrington will not be happy with that defending. He gets

on the outside. That tackle is missed. He is under the sticks. Mark

Sneyd can broaden a few more smiles if he can put this between the

sticks and he does. 10-12. Still everything to play for. They are

playing like the Tigers they are! They know the game is winnable and

Warrington know that they must plot a steady course from here. Hill.

Ratchford. A glimmer of daylight. O'Brien gathers it in. A fabulous

drive from Warrington. What a break O'Brien gathers it in. A fabulous

back in the ascendancy. A great counterpunch. That was great

support. O'Brien gathers it back. That was great. It is a quick play

of the ball. Watch this offload. Bob Bryan is in support. Classic try. Is

this forward? This is what they are asking. No, that is not forward. The

ball is going backwards. The penalty was crucial. Here we go. There it

goes. 18-10. Warrington lead. Hill. Three tackles to go. Bob Bryan joins

in. Stefan Ratchford. It is picked up by Rhys Evans. And he scores in

the corner. That might just be the matchwinner. Castleford defence is

desperate to try and stop them. Warrington were unstoppable. Rhys

Evans. This is the play. Stefan Ratchford has stamped his authority

and class on this much. He steps inside. Just watch. Here he goes. He

sees it and steps inside. Deflection. That is a great finish.

He knows how important that try was. Stefan Ratchford will take this a

little further away from Castleford if he can. He cannot. Two tries, two

goals. It would put Castleford level. They must score a couple of

beyond any doubt here if he makes this. It looks as though he has and

it is a 3 score lead that Warrington have. Warrington or on course. They

have got to be happy. Slightly disappointed going out at home. The

Challenge Cup final play-offs, that is a great season. They have

overachieved, Castleford, this year. They will build on it next year. The

themselves a final glowing memory of the season. Yes. They kept the ball

After their dream of a season, Castleford are waking up to the

reality that this is the season end for them. That was a lovely kick. It

will be a case of thank you for the memories from the Castleford fans.

They still have spirit for the fight. Over the top it goes. Dixon

the second week running he might be heading for a hat-trick. Clark

over. It has been memorable. It all fizzles out. A disappointing end but

it has been fantastic? Yes. I do not feel too great at the moment. We

have lost a game and we felt like we were in with a chance. Especially

when it came to 12-10. We lost momentum. But it has been a great

year. We have taken the club to a new level and given ourselves a

chance to do something special. They probably ran out of gas and

understandably. It is a tough thing to do after Wembley and not have a

week off throughout the year while other teams do. They have done

tremendously well. It has been good for the league. Well done to

Castleford. I am sorry they ran out of team. Was at the Challenge Cup

that range of energy? It is every week. It makes it difficult. -- that

trained. We have injuries to our big men and that made it difficult. We

could not roll people around. It had an impact. The energy levels are a

little bit depleted. We would have won games but now we could not

summon up the energy but we were pretty close. Congratulations. You

did it in a tough way. But that is how you are doing it? The league

position did not help us. We have had some injuries. We have missed

some key players. Leeds showed they have come from both so we were not

worried. It is always a time of year when you miss key players. The man

who came into night, Stefan Ratchford, he was impressive. He

was. We have a bit of a standing joke. We walk in and take goals what

position am I playing in this we? If you had to name a position, which

does he prefer? I am quite happy floating around. It works for me. It

seems to work for the team. We pick up an injury and I can slot in. I am

happy doing that. I have been in different positions and I am happy.

Has that club learned a lot in the last number of years? Was that a

real experience? Yes, I think there was experience from hard times. We

have learned a lot. Especially the last number of weeks. We have had

some great performances. The performance last week was probably

way of what we thought it would be. But we have learned a lot and

hopefully we can build on that. You lose some players and matches and

you gain some. What is the target for next year? We have two join a

new group together. Eight new boys coming in. It is stepping up from

what we have done this year. We will look to get a little bit more

improvement out of the boys that we have. If we have the recruitment

right we will be a better team next year than we are this year. If we

can do that, we will be a challenge again. Brian, Daryl Powell has said

since the Challenge Cup final that his players have been tired. Did

they look tired? Emotionally tired. They got themselves back in the

game. They played a quality outfit that had too much energy. For a

number of weeks, there are in mind that Castleford have the Challenge

Cup and the League Leaders Shield and everything depended on a trip to

France in amongst all about. They had a fabulous season. Daryl Powell

should take some credit and pride at what they have achieved. They were

out of energy. What about Warrington? They have a hell of a

lot of injuries but Stefan Ratchford seems to be able to play any

position. They play rugby. That is the thing about him. People keep

threatening me with what has issued he is in all stop that cares? Get

him in the team. They look sharp at certain points of the game. Their

coach reflected on the fact that they defended well. That will be

pleasing. Certainly they will trouble a lot of teams. Will he be

concerned about the number of mistakes? He does not seem to be.

You look back and over the years successful teams make errors because

they are prepared to play. The unforced errors are tough. You

cannot afford that. There will be an element of focus and how you keep

the ball and chase and control it. The philosophy of Warrington is just

played. Now to this game. Huddersfield Giants against Catalan

Dragons. Huddersfield will be looking to bounce back after being

humiliated by Wigan in week one. Paul Anderson's site will be buoyed

by the return of Danny Brough who has missed the last two games.

Dragons away form has been a problem. They have not won at

Huddersfield in five years. But they tore up the record books with their

first-ever win against Leeds at Headingley and will be looking for a

repeat formance. Let's join our commentators. We have extraordinary

circumstances. Those Catalan Dragons players are emerging from the

dressing rooms that is in complete darkness. A power cut on one side of

the ground means only two floodlights are working. Three

stands have been closed for safety reasons. The players emerging from

the darkness. It is a murky playing surface. Huddersfield with home

advantage. It does not feel like that. The stands empty on the far

side. They will be hoping that the crowd on this nearside can make as

organisation are critical. Catalan name the same 17 that saw off Leeds

last week. Spirit a thought for Louis Anderson who only flew when

half played, Catalan Dragons have the lead again by 12 points to ten.

Huddersfield defenders all around him. Just sneaking an extra yard or

away but could not. Last tackle. The Huddersfield defence has been good

so far in this set. How do they respond to this kick from Thomas

Bosc? Murphy did not get there, Anderson is claiming it! The referee

once to see it again. It is all about the grounding. They should

have clean this up. Does Anderson get there? I think he knocks it on?

Is it with his torso? I do not think he touches it does he? Is that

enough to convince the video referee to give this? If it is his belly, it

is a try, but I do not think it is. Is no try. I think there would have

been a rebellion in the stand that was given. They still do not know

who they might be playing next week. Still a battle going on. Another

couple of tackles to go. Huddersfield piling on the pressure,

That is the question that needs answering. Agonisingly closer and

This will be a try. He nods his head. He always knew that it should

have been given. And there it is confirmed! Huddersfield in this

tight battle finding themselves in the lead again. Danny Brough makes

such a difference to this team, doesn't he. A bit of deception, and

then Luke Robinson on-the-fly. Brilliant effort to get the ball

before it goes dead in goal. Putting this Huddersfield team in front.

What a great skill that is to have. Danny Brough will add the two. Gives

his side 16 points to Catalan's 12. Slight advantage to the Giants.

Whitehead. Wanted to play that quickly and he will get a penalty.

The referee again having a look and deciding that there was a second

attempt by Joe Wardle in the tackle. You cannot do that when the tackle

is completed. So, Catalan Dragons with an opportunity again to swing

back the other way. Oliver Elima with a good offload. Anderson

running into a bit of a cul-de-sac. He has found a way out. He is still

going, and now Williams. Vincent Duport. Crushing it back. Great play

by the Catalan Dragons. Henderson making the break, 30 metres down the

field. Greg Mounis trying to take them on himself. But look where they

play-offs I thought they by far the best seventh roster I have ever

seen, and the only reason they finished that lie was because of all

the injuries they had at the start of the year. I do not think there is

much between the four teams left. Does it matter you were picked in

the club call? I do not mind. That is the last time there will be a

club call. We made history last week by winning at Leeds and we will make

history again. We are happy to make history.

I am delighted to say that we are joined by the Catalan Dragons Oliver

Elima. Well done, Oliver, a tough game out there. Yes, like the old

games. That is what we know about Huddersfield in play-off games, it

is always going to be tight, especially after last week, we knew

that it was going to be tough, especially when we saw that there

was no lights in the changing room for the start of the game. We just

kept on playing, really happy to get the win here today. How weird

weather conditions in the first 20 minutes? Just warming up, half of

the lights were on. The warm up in the changing room was a little bit

weird as well because it was in the dark, everybody had their phones

with the torch on, looking at each other, going inside with the

torches. You did not know what everybody was doing. But we tried to

stay concentrated and I think that we did pretty well. Halfway through

the game, the lights came on and we were already set on our goals, and

we reach them tonight. It was hard for us, but really happy once again

to come with that win today. How much confidence did that victory

give you? It gave us heaps of confidence. You have got to take a

lot of confidence. We already took confidence from the games where we

denied Castleford that spot in our place last season. We had wins

against London and Hull KR away. We took a lot of confidence from these

games, and last week it was a boost, and this is going to give us a boost

again for the game against St Helens. Brian, what did you feel

what the difference between the teams? I thought those moment in the

game, everybody talking about momentum, but it was probably those

moments that shifted. Catalan Dragons executed when they had to,

and there was some great chasing on the end of things, and their form

has been getting better and better. They probably deserved the winter

night, it was a tough game, wasn't it. I thought they had the mental

toughness that the French showed was incredible. A few people limping

towards the end of the game, having to do it the hard way, is there

enough energy left? Definitely. I think that when you are close to Old

Trafford, you find the energy. I think on Thursday we will have one

day less of preparation but we don't really care. We are ready for it.

We're not going to find excuses. Hopefully the lights will be on the

St Helens Stadium and that is it, we are going to play 80 minutes and

hopefully get going. It will a real arm wrestle, won't it? It will, and

another thing that I want to say, the form has improved towards the

end of the says -- season. The personnel has grown from there and I

suppose the question you ask is the same question I would have posed, is

there enough juice in the camp to take them to St Helens? But there is

that enthusiasm and momentum that comes with great wins like this, and

they will be difficult to stop, they will have to be on their best game.
