Hello, welcome to the BBC Sport Centre, I'm Olly Foster.

This week we catch up with Kevin Sinfield

as the Rugby League star adapts to Rugby Union,

and how is snooker's Shaun Murphy coping with country life ahead

But first let's have a look at some of the headlines today.

The second Test is underway in Cape Town.

There's been a solid start from England who won the toss

Alastair Cook was the first wicket to fall...Alex Hales made his maiden

test 50 - we'll have more details later in the programme.

And the first Premier League match of 2016 has already kicked off.

They've played just over 5 minutes at Upton Park.

You will have noticed that sport did very well in the New Year as honours

list. Kevin Sinfield already had an MBE but in Rugby League he is simply

known as Sir Kev. He captured everything last year but has now

switched to rugby union, playing in the championship. It is not just a

different code but a different role he is playing.

What do you do when you've reached the very top of your game? For this

35 -year-old the answer is quite simply, find another. Trying to

learn a new sport alongside that has been a challenge but I've really

enjoyed it. Having conquered Rugby Leaguepos-mac greatest stages, his

surroundings this season are a little more modest. This is the

latest. In the effort to spread their message and another step in

the sporting transition of Kevin Sinfield. I just love playing.

Coming over at this stage in my career was all about the challenge.

I did not want to get a real job. Humble on the field and off it. He

is an inspiration. He is not the first player to switch from League 2

union. Plenty have done it. But their success has been judged on the

field. You get the impression it is about more than that for Kevin

Sinfield. It might be a new sport but he remains a role model, a

leader for whom the team comes before personal glory. His character

is second to none. I see that drive he's got. He is very humble and the

boys respond to him and that is a credit to him. He is a figurehead

not just for his team-mates but for a bigger project. He is excited

about a different challenge and you can see that. He is working hard and

our ambition is to be a Premiership club sitting at the top of the best

development system in the country. With Kevin playing Premiership

rugby. Having taken his team to the top of one sport you would not bet

against him taking his side to new heights in this sport as well.

Last year he became only the 10th player to complete snooker's triple

Crown, the Masters, UK and obviously World Championship.

He defends his Masters title next week at Alexandra Palace hoping that

a change of scene on the home front will put him in good stead.

He's moved to the country and freely admits that he has a lot to learn.

At the moment I've got all the gear but no idea. I am absolutely

clueless about anything other than cutting the grass. I would not know

we'd from a flower. Everybody has to start some plays. When we first

bought this house I went online and looked at lawn mowers. Most boys

want a sports car and a fighter jet. As you get older, this goes on the

list. That was something I wanted. I got that even before we've paid the

deposit for the house. It is not a bad thing getting back

to basics and enjoying the countryside. I can come here, shut

the door, turned my phone off and spend as long as I want here, put

the music on and sing very badly. Just work on my game.

It was so important to complete that triple Crown that everybody has gone

on about. It was the first tournament my mum had been to, and

they were like, good luck charms all the way through it. As I said at the

presentation, it is not always like this. It does not always work out

like this. Having the trophy at home, seeing it, remembering it,

being introduced into all the arenas, I know how that has made me

feel so I can only imagine how it will feel walking down the steps.

Those steps are steeper than they look and we always have one eye on

not falling over. Always thought we should have a slide into the arena

but as long as we make it down the steps without tripping over, I will

be happy. Probably on his way to the potting shed. Let's get an update on

the live sport. West Ham have taken the lead, Antonio with a header.

There has also been a goal in the Dundee derby at dens Park, Dundee

United lead 1-0. In the cricket, Alastair Cook deciding to bat first

against South Africa, did not do him much good. Alex Hales brought up his

maiden test 50. England are leading the Test series 1-0. Nice and sunny

in Cape Town. Commentary is on radio five live sports extra.

so much great sport coming up this year, the Euros and the Olympics

amongst other things, but we thought that for our first

Saturday Sportsday of 2016 we'd leave you with a reminder that 2015

Yes! An absolute belter. England are ahead. Wales will be in France next

summer. New Zealand defender World Cup. That is an outrageous catch.

Great Britain have done it in the most spectacular style. Usain Bolt

has saved his title. He might have even saved his sport.
