Coming up: It's cricket's World Twenty20 Final tomorrow. | :00:17. | :00:22.
England are trying to win the trophy for the second time. | :00:23. | :00:26.
And with a little over 100 days to go until the Rio Olympics, | :00:27. | :00:29.
we catch up with a couple of British athletes with medals on their minds. | :00:30. | :00:32.
But first, let's look at some of the day's sporting headlines. | :00:33. | :00:36.
Former golf world number one Tiger Woods will not take part | :00:37. | :00:39.
in next week's Masters because of a back injury. | :00:40. | :00:41.
Woods, who's won the Masters four times, is now 40 years old and has | :00:42. | :00:45.
not played competitively since August. | :00:46. | :00:47.
Woods has had two operations on his back. | :00:48. | :00:49.
Third practise is just getting under way in Bahrain at the second | :00:50. | :00:52.
Grand Prix of the Formula One season. | :00:53. | :00:56.
Mercedes dominated the first two sessions, with Nico Rosberg - | :00:57. | :00:58.
who won the opening race in Australia - | :00:59. | :01:00.
And this routine is being called the greatest free | :01:01. | :01:04.
Javier Fernandez's performance won him the gold medal | :01:05. | :01:09.
at the World Figure Skating Championships. | :01:10. | :01:11.
The Spanish skater landed three quadruple jumps. | :01:12. | :01:20.
Cricket's world Twenty20 finals take place tomorrow with England facing | :01:21. | :01:23.
West Indies trying to claim that trophy. | :01:24. | :01:25.
There's been some brilliant batting on show | :01:26. | :01:26.
during the tournament and fans are hoping for more | :01:27. | :01:29.
As we final, who better to have alongside | :01:30. | :01:43.
me than England's Jos Buttler. What is the overriding feeling amongst | :01:44. | :01:48.
the England players? To some extent are you surprised to be here? A | :01:49. | :01:54.
little bit maybe, but immense excitement throughout the group, the | :01:55. | :01:58.
World Cup final seemed a long way off when we were chasing 230 against | :01:59. | :02:03.
South Africa in Mumbai. There's so much room for growth in this team, | :02:04. | :02:10.
so to have this come so early on in the team's chef life is fantastic. | :02:11. | :02:19.
-- shelf life is fantastic. The West Indies are a great collection of | :02:20. | :02:23.
individuals, some outstanding t20 players. You played them once and | :02:24. | :02:28.
lost to them when Chris Gayle was on fire, but they are beatable aren't | :02:29. | :02:32.
they? Of course they are. Every team in the world is beatable. We would | :02:33. | :02:35.
back ourselves against anyone, so with the characters in the side who | :02:36. | :02:39.
want to step up on the big occasion, we've got some guys who are really | :02:40. | :02:45.
looking forward to that chance. India for you, the world t20 will | :02:46. | :02:48.
finish, hopefully with England as champions. Then you've got the IPL | :02:49. | :02:53.
coming up, in Mumbai. Do you like it here? Do you get the passion that | :02:54. | :02:58.
India has for cricket? Yes, I was just saying on the bus in with Joe | :02:59. | :03:04.
Root it is like nowhere really. It is fanatical. You see some of the | :03:05. | :03:09.
headlines about England cricket, England would probably have to lose | :03:10. | :03:14.
the final of a World Cup football for us to get similar scenes like | :03:15. | :03:18.
that in England. It is an amazing country to come to. You've got to | :03:19. | :03:21.
embrace everything that's going on. To play cricket here in front of | :03:22. | :03:25.
crowds, even when there's not many people in, they make a hell of a | :03:26. | :03:30.
noise. It is going to be an immense experience for myself to play in the | :03:31. | :03:36.
IPL. IPL. It is one I'm really looking forward to. Jos Buttler, | :03:37. | :03:40.
thank you for your time. This is the final of an international tournament | :03:41. | :03:44.
but in a country where cricket really matters. And there's full | :03:45. | :03:48.
commentary of that match tomorrow afternoon on BBC Radio 5Live sports | :03:49. | :03:51.
extra. Not to the pool. Adam Peaty led the way with three | :03:52. | :04:04.
goals but it is 28 years since Great Britain had a male Olympic champion. | :04:05. | :04:12.
He hopes to end that hiatus and emulate Adrian Moorhouse. Can he win | :04:13. | :04:25.
the gold? I think he's going to. Yes he does! It is a world record. | :04:26. | :04:32.
Peaty's got it on the last stroke! He beats the Olympic champion and | :04:33. | :04:37.
the world champion is Adam Peaty of Great Britain. 2014 was my breakout | :04:38. | :04:42.
year. I think this year is no different. I've worked harder than | :04:43. | :04:45.
ever. What do you do with your medals? I'm proud of them, so we | :04:46. | :04:50.
keep them downstairs where everyone can see them, or at my nan's, I | :04:51. | :04:57.
always want more. Hopefully one day that will be an Olympic medal, | :04:58. | :05:04.
maybe. It is 28 years since Britain last had a male Olympic swimming | :05:05. | :05:08.
champion, Adrian Moorhouse in 1988. Peaty desperately wants to be the | :05:09. | :05:13.
one to end that run. I was thinking this morning while training how long | :05:14. | :05:17.
one to end that run. I was thinking has it been. ? Gold medallist and | :05:18. | :05:19.
Olympic champion, Adrian Moorhouse! CHEERING. My main rivals are saying | :05:20. | :05:25.
I've got all the pressure now, the World Championship titles. All the | :05:26. | :05:29.
world is looking to me, but I think they are more worried about it | :05:30. | :05:32.
because they are speaking about it. The world record is 26. 62. He | :05:33. | :05:38.
destroyed the world record! Do you think it is going to take close to | :05:39. | :05:43.
that world record in the Olympic final? Yes, just to prove a point. I | :05:44. | :05:48.
want to get the best out of what I can get. Do you feel in the best | :05:49. | :05:52.
condition of your life? Definitely. I'm working on areas where I've | :05:53. | :05:56.
never been as good. Last year I lost maybe half a second off the start. | :05:57. | :05:59.
I've done everything possible this season. I'm not playing catch-up any | :06:00. | :06:04.
more. I'm a bigger athlete now. A lot more muscle and strength. If it | :06:05. | :06:09.
was a formula, it would come out on top this year. Hopefully if anyone | :06:10. | :06:14.
is near me in that last 25, they can bring it home for Britain. And | :06:15. | :06:19.
British Olympic swimming trials start later this month. As do | :06:20. | :06:31.
tennis, table tennis players in Rio. Since then Joanna has taken a break | :06:32. | :06:38.
to have a baby and Paul is finding things have certainly changed. The | :06:39. | :06:45.
2nd August 2014 was a golden day for Mr and Mrs Drinkhall. | :06:46. | :06:48.
COMMENTATOR: Delight for the Drinkhalls. The fifth seeds Paul and | :06:49. | :06:56.
Joanna Drinkhall, gold medallists in the mixed doubles event. Paul and | :06:57. | :07:04.
Joanna have since expanded their family, which means only one of the | :07:05. | :07:08.
double acts will be going for another medal this summer. So much | :07:09. | :07:13.
has changed since the Drinkhalls won gold at the Commonwealth games in | :07:14. | :07:17.
Glasgow. This little man's arrived for one. Dougie has turned their | :07:18. | :07:20.
lives upside down, but he's determined to cheer his dad on as he | :07:21. | :07:24.
tries to get to Rio and the Olympics. It is a massive change. | :07:25. | :07:28.
The first child. A lot different things at home. Struggling to fit, | :07:29. | :07:33.
you struggle to eat for a while. Me and Jo were talking about it. In the | :07:34. | :07:38.
first fee weeks you get to 4 o'clock in the afternoon and you think, I'm | :07:39. | :07:43.
hungry, I haven't eaten all day. For me it helped my table tennis. | :07:44. | :07:48.
There's more to life. There was before, obviously, but it is | :07:49. | :07:52.
different having your own child. We've been lucky to see your little | :07:53. | :07:57.
lad playing table tennis already. He'll be sick of it by the time he's | :07:58. | :08:01.
a year old. Sometimes when Jo is doing things I had to bring Dougie | :08:02. | :08:05.
with me to practise. Generally he is good. He sits and watches. He seems | :08:06. | :08:11.
to like the noise when I'm warming up. He's watching me go around the | :08:12. | :08:16.
room. He's to the a good tornado as well. A lot of people says his is | :08:17. | :08:21.
better than mine. Priorities may have changed but the goal in Rio is | :08:22. | :08:26.
still the same. I've proved in all the tournaments in the last two | :08:27. | :08:29.
years that I can challenge anybody. It is just getting myself in the | :08:30. | :08:32.
best shape and living the moment and enjoying that. If I do that, | :08:33. | :08:40.
anything's possible. Better than a gold medal? Too right. Maybe he's a | :08:41. | :08:46.
future Olympic champion for us. Us. That's it from the Saturday | :08:47. | :08:50.
Sportsday team. We'll be back soon. Goodbye for now. | :08:51. | :08:54. |
