experience the greatest moment of my life. Olympic gold fulfilled a

lifetime ambition, but success also brought scrutiny. He was criticised

rival Chris Tomlinson called for his new British record of 8.51 metres,

set in the USA, to be annulled. To jump at a competition that is not a

World Championships, not an Olympics, not a Grand Prix, not the

Diamond League, a very small competition, as you can see on the

video. As far as you are concerned, ratified, a new British record. All

I can do is turn up and compete. If other people have got problems with

my competitions, nothing I can do. So I just keep quiet, keep my head

down and train hard and hopefully jump far. After a rest, records will

be back on the agenda at the Commonwealth Games, where Fonzie

aims to better the silver he secured four years ago. -- where he aims.

Lots of competitive challenges coming up, but one very different

one as well, you are going to be a dad. Yeah, it is something I have

always wanted, funnily enough. I've always wanted children, and I'm

super excited by everything that will come with that, but yeah, it is

a little bit daunting as well. He loves a challenge and is genuine

enjoying a revival in her career. Four years ago, she quit playing for

England after falling out with the previous coach, Hope Powell. Now a

change in manager means the striker is back playing for her country and

back amongst the goals too. Lee James went to America to meet her.

the national team, I have always loved the clubs I play for, and I'm

happy to be in Boston. Lianne Sanderson was a prolific striker for

Arsenal and Chelsea before heading to the United States, but retired

from international football at the age of 22 after complaining of

unfair treatment from Hope Powell. The only time I found it hard was

during the Olympics. I thought everything happens for a reason, I

am stronger for it now, and sometimes it was disappointing, but

Island a lot in the four years I was not on the team, the environment was

not good for me as a person. -- I learnt. It is the best thing,

happy here in Boston, but in the future it is something I will have

to look at. It is hard travelling back and forth continuously. Is

there a chance of England winning the World Cup? We have definitely

got the players, the coaching staff, we can definitely win, I don't see

why not. Whilst England's senior teams are

preparing for the World Cup, their cerebal palsy team has Portugal and

the European Championship in their sights. The different squads all

train at the National Football Centre, St George's Park, and that's

where we sent Alex Gulranjani to go behind the scenes.

The home of English football. Alongside the superstars from the

men's and women's game, you can also find England's cerebral palsy side,

a team for those with CP and head injuries, treated and prepared just

like their most famous international colleagues. It's about being brave

today. While the men's senior team prepare for the World Cup, these

guys are planning an adventure of their own. They'll be going to

Portugal for the European Championships. Northern Ireland and

today's visitors, Scotland, will join them. The home nations will be

well represented. And the Paralympics helped. Thanks to the

exposure of the London games, more players started to emerge. Like Jack

Rutter, a former Birmingham City academy star, whose professional

career was ahead of him until his life changed five years ago.

Unfortunately, through no fault of my own, I was punched in the back of

the head by a lad, fractured my skull on a curb and suffered serious

brain damage. I went through some very dark moments. When I found out

from the FA that there was football I could have a chance of playing in,

I am doing well at the moment. Injury kept him out against

Scotland, but his team-mates managed without him, comfortably winning 5-0

against a higher ranked nation. That results does not ease the

intensity, and the manager expect them to look after themselves like

elite athletes. To be part of an England setup, I treat them as I

would treat players if I was in a professional club. So yes, they have

had a hard time in their upbringing, but at the same time it gives them

the opportunity to strive for excellence. Back in the dressing

room, time to let the world know the school and bask in a win over an old

champion. When I was a kid, I just loved to ride. I wanted to do well

in the race as I did, and when I turned into the junior category, I

felt, well, I might have some talent, and, well, maybe I can get

the Olympic Games anymore, but we race every week, fantastic races.

2014 can be an important year for women's cycling. There has been a

lot of talking about women's cycling, and now the big

Federation, the organisation picked it up, and it is good to be around a

table with these people. So yeah, we are heard, and we are moving.

A big year ahead for Marianne Vos. That's just about it from me for

now. It's the final day of the season in the Football League, with

all the matches in the Championship kicking off at 12.15, so coming up
