Hello and welcome to the BBC sports Centre. Over the next 15 minutes, we

have a round-up of the weekend 's board including the latest from the

ashes. This is Saturday Sportsday. Coming up on the programme, another

disastrous performance from England in cricket leaving them staring at

another defeat in Australia. We have a report and reaction from Adelaide.

Try typing this into a search engine, you will find this from

Scott Boswell, by his recovery has taken ten years. And a potential

clash between two taekwondo arch rivals in Manchester, 18 months on

from Olympics controversy. The sport headlines.

Roy Hodgson says he is still very positive about England's World Cup

hopes despite them getting Italy, Uruguay and Costa Rica.

Neil Robertson is on course to win the big trouble in snooker. He had

already won the Masters and world championships and is through to the

UK Championship for the first time after victory over Stuart Bingham in

the semifinals. And it is day two of the track

cycling World Cup in Mexico. Jason Kenny picked up a sprint silver.

Let us start in Adelaide, a second humiliating Ashes defeat in

Australia. And England batting collapse with eight of the team not

even reaching double figures. Mitchell Johnson ripped through with

seven, 440 runs. Australia are in complete control with a lead of 530

runs. Joe Wilson has the details. By mid-afternoon on the third day of

the second Test, people in Adelaide were openly talking about there

being no way back for England in this Ashes series. That may yet seem

premature. But the point is, Australia were utterly dominant.

Mitchell Johnson is a player that England cannot deal with. That's how

it looked today. This is the scorecard. Seven wickets they him.

He blew away the middle order, in the words of Ian Bell. There are

still a couple of players, Ian Bell, Michael Carberry. Bell was

able to attack before he was stranded. Mitchell Johnson said this

was his best day in test cricket. Ian Bell was the England player left

to try to explain things at the close of play.

Another disappointing performance, and you can't afford in test

matches, in first innings, to be bowled out at 200. It is

disappointing. There will be no excuses. We need to make sure we put

that right and have an opportunity in the second innings to show

people. How do you explain their inability

to deal with Mitchell Johnson? Is it a question of technique or attitude,

that will to win that even Graham Gooch spoke about at the start of

the week in Adelaide. Michael Vaughan was the England captain who

won Australian respect, I asked his opinion.

It looked like they were shy, petrified, a bit scared. Not a good

sign as a batting unit. They were backing off when Mitchell Johnson

was bowling. I think that the courage that is required to face

quick bowling comes from within. A coach can't tell you that. This

batting unit aren't playing with great confidence, they aren't in

great form. They need to ask their own questions. Have they got the

fight and desire? Brisbane was bad. But they had the excuse of the

pitch. This is a flat wicket. I have two say, for long periods it was

embarrassing. What will happen on the fourth day?

Mitchell Johnson has said they will let England Cook in the field a

little longer, let David Wanna get his century, let the lead build-up

to do, who knows, 650, then Mitchell Johnson will be unleashed again.

There is no hiding place. Jonathan Trott's recent withdrawal

from England's Ashes squad, because of a stress related illness, brought

up the issue of depression in cricket once again. A less

well-known example is former Leicestershire bowler Scott Boswell.

He became an internet hit because of one disastrous over at Lords in

2001. The experience devastated Boswell, and ended his career. Tim

Hague found out that, 12 years later, and now teaching at Trent

College in Nottingham, Boswell is only just recovering.

I choked on the day. I froze. I bowled wide. It got louder and

louder. It was almost a fear of failure. I was so concerned. My

gosh, how am I going to get through this over? This was meant to be the

best day of my life but it turned out to be the worst day.

Something Scott Boswell still finds hard to look at, and remember, that

a simple Internet search for worst over ever revealing the sad end to

his cricket career. A Lord's final 12 years ago where a 14 ball over,

18 of them wide, left a permanent mark on his life.

It was an awful feeling, it took a long time to get over, a long, long

time. How long? How long? Probably ten years. Deep inside, I wasn't

dealing with it. If anybody mentioned it, my word, I would lose

the plot. Whether I was depressed at the time, there was something not

quite right with me because I became more introverted and isolated from

society. I kept myself to myself. I was very down about things. I found

it hard to deal with. After his professional career was

over, Boswell tried to regain his confidence in club cricket. But

matters of the mind are not that simple.

There were stages where it got stuck in my hand. Trying to let go of it

and it would come through. It would literally go on the ground. All over

the top of the keeper. Anywhere. I would physically be sick. I was

bowling through tears. I can laugh about it now but during the time, it

was pretty painful. Relief from that pain eventually

came. In a less obvious way. Cricket in its most basic form is very

simple. All you need is a bat and a ball. Scott Boswell is using his

negative experience from that game, in a positive way, by teaching the

next generation of cricketers. Teaching, every word you say can

have an effect on the rest of their life.

I think I have got the empathy side of it. It still gets me. I get a

little bit apprehensive. But, I help them. I say, I know exactly where

you have been. I know how it feels. Try this. That vulnerable side, kids

can relate to and accept. With the autumn internationals done

and dusted, Rugby Union turns its attention to the Heineken Cup this

weekend. There are six fixtures today. The top two in pool one meet,

as Northampton face Leinster. Elsewhere, Saracens and Ulster

should be too strong for their Italian opposition. But Scarlets and

Quins face tough trips to France. Perhaps the pick of the games is at

Sandy Park, as Exeter take on defending champions Toulon, and

their star fly-half Jonny Wilkinson. Yes. Certainly bring a bit of extra

attention. He has obviously done fantastically well and he won the

condition last year. These guys are the holders. We are pitting

ourselves against some of the best players in the world over the last

few years. That is an exciting challenge but we are not overawed.

We will see where we come. Next weekend, one of the most highly

anticipated fights in the history of taekwondo could take place in

Manchester, between Olympic bronze medallist Lutalo Muhammad and

European champion Aaron Cook. You may remember that last year the duo

were embroiled in a bitter appeals battle for a place in the London

2012 squad, after then world number one Cook was overlooked in favour of

his lower-ranked rival. Muhammad received hate mail. But, after

missing out on the Games, Cook has since lost all of his sponsorship,

and now funds himself. Nick Hope has been to meet the pair.

It is one of the biggest fights. A lot of people would like to see

that fight and I would like to fight them.

British selectors have again chosen Lutalo Muhammad over Aaron Cook for

London 2012. World number one, reigning two-time

champion. The constant appeals, it was nasty

and unnecessary. That's fine, that is his opinion. I

beat him twice come he beat me once. I know what I can do, I am confident

but the result will be. There is only going to be one

winner, me. Fighting talk ahead of a boxing bout

not a taekwondo jewel. These are passionate rivals. Both great

victory. Following his Olympic projection, Cook needs it more than

Muhammad. I was in pieces I was in tears. It

was difficult. I lost my dream, my Olympic dream. My mum and dad had

funded everything for me. It is not cheap. Hopefully, somewhere along

the line, someone will stand up and stay -- say this is right. Life for

Muhammad was an easy either. He was the victim of hate mail. Why it

bothers me is not so much I received the messages. My family was

affected, my parents were being hounded by reporters. My dad was

being followed to his place of work. I don't look back on it fondly.

Muhammad went on to claim Olympic bronze while Cook secured sanctuary

under the flag of the Isle of Man. He still aims to fight for Britain

in 2016. To be in Rio, I am going to be Olympic champion, world champion,

have that anthem playing behind me. It would be a dream.

People say I won a bronze model. I say you can only win the gold. --

bronze medal. Muhammad and Cook share the same dream and neither was

a repeat of the Olympic selection controversy. The only way to achieve

that is with the upright domination of their sport which begins in

Manchester. -- out right domination.

It's the Gymnastics World Cup in Glasgow this weekend, and there's

live coverage on the BBC Sport website at 1pm, with highlights on

BBC One next Saturday. Olympic bronze medallist Dan Purvis will be

among those in action, in front of a sell-out crowd, and he's using the

experience to help his preparations for next year's Commonwealth Games

in Glasgow. Since the Olympics, it was crazy how

many people actually watched it and recognised the team. It was great

for the sport. That we actually got the bronze medal. Since then, it has

been really good kids getting into the sport. Especially in my own gym

club in Southport. It's been like that around the country. A lot of

people asking me where to chain. England's women hockey players are

in semifinal action at the World League Tournament in Argentina.

They'll face Australia at 9.30 tonight for a place in the final

They should go into the match with plenty of confidence, after

dominating their quarter final against China on Thursday night,

despite only having Georgie Twigg's penalty to show for it. They'll face

a tougher test against the Australians. Argentina and the

Netherlands will contest the other semifinal.
