When the RaboDirect PRO12 kicked off the Ospreys knew they would be

without their World Cup stars but they had faith in those left behind.

New leaders have emerged. The veterans have blended with the

young talent. They are six points clear at the top of the table.

Hanno Dirksen. Good try. It has been 15 man rugby all the way. A

mean defence. This is a region on a roll. The Ospreys season is off to

a cracking start. They are hoping that will continue tonight on the

road in Scotland. We can remind ourselves of the table. Victory

tonight will see Ospreys match their best ever start to the season.

Then, they went on to win the Championship. Glasgow are 5th. Most

of the World Cup stars will not be returning for another couple of

weeks. Tommy Bowe is in the squad tonight. Chris Cusiter is among the

I guess the challenge for all these countries is to reintegrate the

returning national players. That is the biggest challenge. In the case

and Wales, they are talented players, full of confidence having

played in the World Cup, but they have practised and trained in a

specific way for the past few months. They have just brought

Tommy Bowe back. The rest of the group, the players who have played

so well. It should not be too difficult for them. What has been

an advantage for the Ospreys is they have had an experienced core

of veterans. Ian Gough, Mefin Davies. Jonathan Thomas. These have

experience, real quality. It is having the balance of experience

and quality. That has served them well in the first six matches. They

have played a great rugby. A it has been about the blend for the

Ospreys. A lot of youngsters. We have looked at one youngster in

particular. What do you know about Morgan? Very little. He is a

talented player with huge potential. He has the ability to create

something out of nothing. He reminds me of Shane Williams. I

think Glasgow will target him. There is a westerly wind coming in.

That could be tricky for the fullbacks. It is getting pretty

cold on the touch line. Scotland's World Cup finished earlier than

Wales. They have more internationals to call on and they

have closer to a full-strength side. Chris Cusiter, one of the most

underrated scrum-halves. The they have played reasonably well. They

had a great win against the Blues. They will be looking for a result

and it will be a big result if they get it but I expect to be Ospreys

to put in the good work we have seen so far. We can cross to the

Parks, in the World Cup, Jackson stepped forwards and he will be

Scotland's stand off going forward. Weir with a success rate of 84 and

attacking options. Yes they have certainly this year they have tried

to keep the ball alive as best as possible. At types it is all about

keeping the ball alive and they try to off-load before contact. That

has been a feature of the game. Webb and Morgan have kept the

territory going by putting the ball into the corners. They have played

well and haven't created too many opportunities. They both have

worked hard in defence. But if you look at the side in more control,

to me the Ospreys have that. mentioned Morgan, he came in to

replace Dan Biggar and he has had a mixed bag that, monster kick, but a

few mistakes. His kicking out of hand has been good and the way he

booted his goals has been fantastic. He has had a mixed bag. We know

what he is capable of in terms of his rung game. Very good in that

department. His kicking game has been his strong point tonight. This

was a kick towards the ends. He kicked that monster goal and puts

it 70 yards down the fields into the corner. But he does look

creative and he is always looking to do something. He has a spark. OK,

because of the way he plays, because of the way he place, he is

going to make mistakes. But he is so good with the ball in hand and

he excites people, like a Shane Williams. You are going to expect

the odd mistake. You mentioned at the start Chris Cusiter, who has

looked sharp. Yes Andy Nicol was talk and he is probably the best

scrum half in Scotland. Always looking for space. Has an eye for

the gap. And you know, time and time again he took that. He hurt

his ankle late on, but he has kept going. He has given Duncan Weir so

much time and space and he has been the one, fraps key player in the

Glasgow performance. -- perhaps the key player. The pack are wing

enough possession and he is probably the biggest threat. Plenty

midfield. He will be a bonus. And Stowers is a big strong man.

They're here to bowlster the Ospreys squad. - ebolster the

Ospreys squad. Who else will benefit from the returning stars?

Everyone in due course will benefit. You have quality players coming

back and confident player coming bafpblgt it will help. It will take

time. But probably the Scarlets will benefit. Priestland and

Daveies and North and Williams, all had great world cups. They will

benefit from the quality they possess. The Dragons have fewer to

come back, but they have three of the best forwards in the Wales

squad. Yes and an area where they have struggled and they have not

dominated up front. But Charteris had a great World Cup. They will

come back with a great belief and add to the quality nay possession

and provide the impetus to get on the wing road and get some decent

The Blues have the best blend to come back. They have the mixture.

Jamie Roberts, Lloyd-Williams, Bradley Davies, and players who are

the spine of the team who will come back. They need fresh impetus and

confidence. Of late, they have not performed as well and that sort of

quality coming back will help. There is another familiar face in

the camp. Mr Henson his excited about coming to the Blues. I see

myself as a 10 or 12. It would be nice to have an opportunity as a

tent. I enjoy opposition the most. But I enjoyed well. Wait and see.

Gavin Henson. Somebody who knows all about him is his former partner

Tom Shanklin. Gavin Henson, where will he play? He is a 12 he can

play 10. His best position is 12. It will be interesting to see where

he plays when Jamie Roberts gets back. Who is the best to benefit

from the World Cup stars been back? The Dragons, they will be boosted.

Ospreys to win this? I think so. The strength and depth they have.

momentum at the start of the second half and put the Ospreys under

cohesive. Ultimately, as things go on, and things start to go worse,

more mistakes creep in. That helps the Glasgow cause. We saw the sin-

binning. Richie Gray. He stretched over to get the try. They had

momentum and they were off loading well in tackles. He is a big man.

The question as to whether he got downward pressure on that. It was

left to the fourth official. He That Gray try was crucial, but a

couple of penalties put them out of sight. That is down to Cusiterment

they were average first half and second half they came out, the

tempo was up and they were running the ball. It is a risk taking a

quick penalty. We have Scott Johnson now. Where was the

compelling moment of the game? you have the control we had and

ample play and in their half and we didn't put any plays together and

didn't control our line out ball and then we couldn't dominate on

the back of the penalty count. So therefore we played probably a

little rusty, trying to catch up. Great positive from Morgan's

performance? Well in some aspects of his game. But some he has to

work on. Let's not lose ourselfs with the last try and a couple of

good kicks. There is other areas of the game that we have got to be

honest and he has got to work on. How big a part did the yellow card

Blay? Yes that played a big part in the second half. For all we did

well in the first half, we didn't play too much in the our own half.

We made rors, -- errors and the yellow card and t it resulted in us

being stuck in our own half and the pressure told. Bad luck but enjoy

the Derby coming up. Well Tom, it is disappointing, it was six from

six and looking irresistible. Can they pick themselves up? Yes I

think so. Six from seven isn't a bad start to the season. They have

got the quality. I was disappointed, there was some sloppy mistakes. But

they have got the squad and the talent. Rob, in a week, Lynne Jones

mentioned the two week off has disrupted them. Yes they have got

the return international -- returning international players and

things have changed and I said it is a challenge to gel these players

back into a way of playing that is accustomed to the regional game.
