That's the end of it. It's a draw in Dublin. Time moves fast in the Six

:00:23.:00:30.

Nations, with Dublin a fading memory, the focus switches to

:00:31.:00:34.

Scotland. But tonight, it's about another

:00:35.:00:39.

Welsh/Scottish clash as the Scarlets and Edinburgh fight for a place at

:00:40.:00:46.

the top. Two teams, two nations, two cultures - let battle commence.

:00:47.:00:58.

Yes, this is the perfect warm-up for the main event tomorrow, a

:00:59.:01:02.

Welsh/Scottish clash to saver in the Pro12. The Scarlets desperate for

:01:03.:01:10.

victory after losing three in the last four, they know that defeat

:01:11.:01:15.

could put a severe dent in the title ambitions. And here is why. This

:01:16.:01:21.

season's Pro12 is closer than ever before.

:01:22.:01:25.

Nine points separating first from sixth. And two other games going on

:01:26.:01:33.

contesting the top four change places, so by the end of the night

:01:34.:01:38.

it could all change. Good evening, welcome to the

:01:39.:01:41.

programme. We have a Wales/Scottish theme. Arched fittingly, a very warm

:01:42.:01:50.

welcome to Chris Pattinson and James Bond, I mean, Gareth Thomas... The

:01:51.:01:59.

Milk Tray man! Yes. We talk about depleted resources but

:02:00.:02:03.

it is a time for the fringe players to put up their hands to show what

:02:04.:02:07.

they can do? It is a good opportunity for a lot of players. If

:02:08.:02:11.

you are in the national team, you are a definite for the region. This

:02:12.:02:16.

is a great opportunity for the regions to start letting in new

:02:17.:02:19.

players and seeing how the combinations can go. You can get

:02:20.:02:24.

struck with injuries or lose a player, so it is an exciting time

:02:25.:02:31.

for the advance of regional rugby to see where the next superstar is

:02:32.:02:35.

coming from. Chris, both teams gunning for the

:02:36.:02:40.

top four positions. Edinburgh's recent record, they have lost five

:02:41.:02:44.

in the last six but creditly, the one they won was against the

:02:45.:02:49.

Scarlets at home? Yes, it drew at home in Murrayfield. But Edinburgh

:02:50.:02:54.

are a tough team to beat. They don't play the most parton rugby but are

:02:55.:02:58.

hard to beat. The meanest defence in the league. They are bringing that

:02:59.:03:04.

tonight to hope that they can break one or two tackles.

:03:05.:03:11.

We spoke about depleted resources, there are many internationals

:03:12.:03:14.

missing from both sides but one man that is known as Mr Dependable it is

:03:15.:03:22.

Hadleigh Parkes. We caught up with him earlier in the week.

:03:23.:03:31.

And Regan King juggles with it but it is out of his hands and a try in

:03:32.:03:36.

the corner for that man, #45d league Parkes.

:03:37.:03:40.

It was a great start but we have fallen off a few. We have lost a few

:03:41.:03:46.

tight games but we are still in a good position.

:03:47.:03:53.

We had a bit of a relationship with Wayne P at Auckland. I have known

:03:54.:03:59.

him for three years. Once we got the job, he asked if I was keen to move

:04:00.:04:04.

to Wales. I was getting to the stage where I thought it would be good to

:04:05.:04:10.

experience European rugby. Obviously New Zealand is a long way from

:04:11.:04:15.

anywhere where else, Wayne kept in touch and it pulled through for me.

:04:16.:04:19.

I have had a great opportunity so far.

:04:20.:04:24.

12 is the most preferred position. Having played there most of my life.

:04:25.:04:30.

But I have been chucked at full whack, never before, so a sink or a

:04:31.:04:34.

swim situation. But I really enjoyed it. I don't mind the utility tag too

:04:35.:04:41.

much but prefer to be in mid-field. At the start of the season, it was

:04:42.:04:48.

top four. Being realistic now, it could be aiming for two-for-one. The

:04:49.:04:53.

next four weeks are important. We want to put the best foot forward

:04:54.:04:59.

for rugby next year, you want to play against the best teams in the

:05:00.:05:03.

world. To be in the mix and playing each week.

:05:04.:05:08.

There he is. The man, Hadleigh Parkes captaining the Scarlets for

:05:09.:05:13.

the second game running. He is a real fans' favourite in West Wales.

:05:14.:05:18.

Wayne from Auckland knew what he was getting when he signed this man to

:05:19.:05:23.

play for the Scarlets. And Phil Davis is our analyst tonight.

:05:24.:05:30.

Welcome welcome, Phil. We talk about signing foreign players, the this is

:05:31.:05:36.

the kind of guy that the region should be going after? Absolutely.

:05:37.:05:40.

You have to do the research, know what type of players you want. Who

:05:41.:05:45.

will fit into the culture, who brings to the team and Hadleigh

:05:46.:05:49.

Parkes, as you can see the Scarlets have done this well. He is powerful

:05:50.:05:54.

in defence. Ripping the ball of a prop forward. A great cover tackle

:05:55.:06:00.

against Leinster. He is relentless in terms of physicality and contact.

:06:01.:06:05.

He is difficult to put down. Here he spots a gap. He gets over and scores

:06:06.:06:10.

a great try. You have DTH, arguably one of the

:06:11.:06:14.

best broken field runners in the Pro12. The Scarlets have the great

:06:15.:06:18.

start. The best in terms of line breaks. He is the reason why. He

:06:19.:06:24.

scored great tries, had a great World Cup for Canada. Making a great

:06:25.:06:29.

impact for the Scarlets. And here, David Bulbring. Tonight, here is a

:06:30.:06:35.

real contrast in styles. The Scarlets with the attacking flair

:06:36.:06:39.

and as Chris has said, Edinburgh with the meanest defence. A tackle

:06:40.:06:45.

completion rate of 91%. So the Scarlets's attack must be red not

:06:46.:06:48.

break it down. A real clash of styles to look

:06:49.:06:55.

forward to. Chris, the Scarlets will miss their Scottish opening cider,

:06:56.:07:01.

by up know you are impressed with a man capped twice for Scotland and

:07:02.:07:05.

never fails to impress for Edinburgh? Yes, Hamish Watson. He is

:07:06.:07:17.

really combative. I like to see him break being tackles, and here he has

:07:18.:07:23.

the gas to finish it off. A good old fashioned seven. Ironically

:07:24.:07:27.

Edinburgh and Scotland need players like that to play quickly. Hopefully

:07:28.:07:30.

he will get the ball in hand. A quality player.

:07:31.:07:36.

On the clash of styles, it is intriguing a side with the most line

:07:37.:07:43.

breaks and the Edinburgh side who pride themselves on on the defence.

:07:44.:07:49.

Edinburgh are hard to beat. Here we are have a quality defence. Duncan

:07:50.:07:58.

Hodgkins has been giving the team a real attacking edge. If they get

:07:59.:08:03.

quick ball, as all team, Edinburgh have the quality to strike out wide.

:08:04.:08:07.

I hope that they can do that tonight.

:08:08.:08:13.

I was speaking to Adam Solomons, the Edinburgh head coach.

:08:14.:08:16.

We caught up with him. You have to put right what you did

:08:17.:08:21.

not do well in the last round against Connaught, what did you

:08:22.:08:26.

mean? It was obvious, the set piece did not go well and discipline. The

:08:27.:08:31.

two areas that we have to get right. Edinburgh are a good set piece, so a

:08:32.:08:35.

test for us. And what happened the last season?

:08:36.:08:41.

They beat news the Pro12 at home. We would like to get that right.

:08:42.:08:46.

Have a good one. Alan it is a lesser Wales clash but

:08:47.:08:51.

I don't think you see it like that? No it is a important game for both

:08:52.:08:56.

teams, for the Scarlets and for ourselves. We know that the Scarlets

:08:57.:09:00.

at home will be tough. So we have to be at our best.

:09:01.:09:04.

How will you play it? It is about each individual performing really

:09:05.:09:09.

well so that the collective can perform well.

:09:10.:09:14.

Enjoy it. Thank you very much. Two more games going on in the

:09:15.:09:19.

pro-12. Both could impact in the top four. They kicked off at 7. 30pm.

:09:20.:09:33.

Leinster, 21, Zebra, 0. And Ulster 3-5, Glasgow beating Ulster. Also a

:09:34.:09:38.

game between the Dragons and Connaught. This is what happened.

:09:39.:09:49.

That is Blade getting the ball away to Rodney.

:09:50.:09:57.

That is the dragon's 22. Blade to Muldoon. And Matt Healy and

:09:58.:10:07.

under the post for a first try for Connacht. Blade and Adam Hughes is

:10:08.:10:14.

in with a chance. If he can dribble it, he is over. Adam Hughes for the

:10:15.:10:19.

Dragons. Good control by the forward. Blade

:10:20.:10:26.

has options. They are going wide. Here is O' Halloran. How simple was

:10:27.:10:38.

that for Connacht? Landman, Harris, Ashton-Hewitt to finish for the

:10:39.:10:43.

Dragons. Beautifully enneared by the forwards, the wing did the rest. The

:10:44.:10:49.

grunt and shunt coming on from Connacht. It is Masterson lurking

:10:50.:11:00.

with intent. And he is over. Are the Dragons going to succumb with two

:11:01.:11:04.

minutes to go? In the shadow of the post. And Bundiake is there.

:11:05.:11:11.

To have four players dropping out of a game is really difficult for us.

:11:12.:11:17.

We are also nursing an injury list as long as a marathon. Full credit

:11:18.:11:22.

to the players. We stuck at it. I thought we played good rugby at

:11:23.:11:29.

times. Connacht had five chances to score tries, they took four of them.

:11:30.:11:34.

You have to give them credit. And more evidence that Connacht are

:11:35.:11:43.

to be taken seriously. The other game, it has just finished. Behind

:11:44.:11:49.

into the 80th minute but then Giles went over for a third try. From the

:11:50.:11:55.

ospreys' academy. Before the final whistle was blown, a dramatic

:11:56.:12:04.

penalty for an 18-15 victory. Chris Pattinson seeing here?

:12:05.:12:10.

So, fantastic news for there them. Right down to the touchline. Phil

:12:11.:12:16.

Steele is paroling. We know it will be a forward battle,

:12:17.:12:20.

which the Scarlets have to win to win the game, are they up to it? We

:12:21.:12:25.

have made four changes in the front five with a lot of weight in the

:12:26.:12:27.

area. We have a bit of experience in the

:12:28.:12:34.

front row. We know we have a great scrum and a great rolling wall. So I

:12:35.:12:37.

think that the boys will be up for it.

:12:38.:12:42.

The injuries? Yes, unfortunately, five weeks in to it, now with my

:12:43.:12:49.

injury but getting better. Good luck to you.

:12:50.:12:52.

Perfect conditions. It should be a cracker.

:12:53.:12:59.

And we heard Emyhr talking about the parity. Even without the

:13:00.:13:05.

internationals, Regan, King, Van der Merwe, they have serious strike

:13:06.:13:09.

weapons? They have. And the Scarlets have been renowned for playing

:13:10.:13:12.

rugby. Obviously you need a platform. But a great opportunity

:13:13.:13:16.

for some of the players, who are potentially on the fringe. Not

:13:17.:13:19.

constant first starters. That is what this is about, these guys

:13:20.:13:24.

performing well. They have the firepower to score the tries, no

:13:25.:13:26.

doubt about that. Indeed. And we have a centurion from

:13:27.:13:34.

Scotland, a centurion from Wales, and if the scrum line is not

:13:35.:13:40.

star-studded, we have real royalty in the commentary box, you have

:13:41.:13:43.

probably guessed what I am talking about but if not, here is a clue.

:13:44.:13:49.

COMMENTATOR: Gerald Davis ?, what is he doing there? You can

:13:50.:13:59.

see Phil Bennett out to Butcher. Oh, this is going to be the try of the

:14:00.:14:05.

championship. I could watch that all day long and

:14:06.:14:10.

never get bored, it is the President of Scarlets, Phil Bennett. Great to

:14:11.:14:14.

have you on board. A very warm welcome to you. I will talk about

:14:15.:14:20.

Scotland after that cracking try. Scotland v Wales, how confident are

:14:21.:14:24.

you of a home victory? I think we could have won in Dublin, had we got

:14:25.:14:31.

it right tactically. We had a them good backwards in the scrum, the

:14:32.:14:35.

forwards dominant. We could have won. Confident for tomorrow. A great

:14:36.:14:41.

pitch to run on. They will want to play expansive rugby. I think it

:14:42.:14:46.

will be a great game. You can never write off Scotland but Wales for me.

:14:47.:14:51.

Well said. We have spoken about the importance of getting points while

:14:52.:14:55.

the internationals are away. Critical for the Scarlets to retain

:14:56.:14:58.

the title? They have to win. Absolutely. This is one of the

:14:59.:15:03.

biggest games of the season. What we look out for as viewers and

:15:04.:15:08.

supporters is the discipline. Scarlets are leaking yellow cards.

:15:09.:15:13.

They cannot do that tonight. Stent a vital game. Discipline is the watch

:15:14.:15:20.

ward. Andrew Brace is the man who has given the Scarlets a few yellows

:15:21.:15:25.

this season. But a big one tonight. Both teams looking to climb the

:15:26.:15:29.

table. It is close between the two. The last five games settled by a

:15:30.:15:33.

margin of four points or fewer. Will tonight be as close. Let's find out

:15:34.:15:41.

in the company of Phil Bennett and Gareth Giles.

:15:42.:15:45.

Thank you very much. Late on a Friday night in West Wales

:15:46.:15:49.

and the men from the Scottish capital have come down to see if

:15:50.:15:53.

they can continue their good form. They have won three of the last

:15:54.:15:58.

four, four of the last six. Edinburgh continuing their climb up

:15:59.:16:01.

the table. They have managed to get up to fifth. The Scarlets dropping

:16:02.:16:05.

down to third. Obviously some people are looking forward to a good rugby

:16:06.:16:11.

weekend. The whole Edinburgh front row is on duty. A useful back row,

:16:12.:16:29.

led by the captain, mike Coman. Damien Hoyland with five league

:16:30.:16:33.

tries, Phil Burleigh with three. So they have defence but they are

:16:34.:16:38.

capable of scoring tries as well. The Scarlets know that they have to

:16:39.:16:46.

get back to winning ways tonight. Hadleigh Parkes, back to lead the

:16:47.:16:49.

team as he did at the beginning of the season.

:16:50.:16:57.

He did that at the start when the international crew were on duty in

:16:58.:17:01.

the World Cup. Now they are in the Six Nations. His duties return here.

:17:02.:17:15.

The every green Phil John and Edwards. South African, David

:17:16.:17:21.

Bulbring, and Boyde. Back after injury.

:17:22.:17:28.

Shingler gets his start. Pad league Parkes, ever present.

:17:29.:17:34.

The Scarlets can only muster four forwards on the bench. Steff Hughes,

:17:35.:17:40.

the extra man. For Edinburgh, two players in Kinghorning and Richie,

:17:41.:17:44.

who could have been playing for the U 20s.

:17:45.:17:50.

Andrew Brace of Ireland. He is the man in charge this receivening. The

:17:51.:17:55.

Scarlets in third take on Edinburgh who are in fifth.

:17:56.:18:08.

It is Wales v Scotland in the prince Principality Stadium.

:18:09.:18:14.

And it is Parc y Scarlets this receivening.

:18:15.:18:18.

And Van der Merwe getting a gift in the opening second.

:18:19.:18:22.

David Bulbring there. A dramatic start.

:18:23.:18:30.

Will Boyde takes it off Aaron Shingler. Desperate defence by

:18:31.:18:34.

Edinburgh. They have managed to turn it over. The Scarlets lose

:18:35.:18:40.

possession and lose a chance. Van der Merwe almost snuck in under the

:18:41.:18:45.

radar and Edinburgh, in the end, happy to get the ball off. What an

:18:46.:18:50.

opening to the game. That was a shocker by Edinburgh.

:18:51.:18:54.

Nobody called for the ball. Nobody claimed responsibility. Van der

:18:55.:18:58.

Merwe could have been in there. I don't think that the coach would

:18:59.:19:01.

have been pleased with that defence. But it turned over.

:19:02.:19:10.

Phil Burleigh with the all important tackle to save Edinburgh and keep

:19:11.:19:16.

the scoreboard blank. A real slack pass and huge pressure on Hadleigh

:19:17.:19:22.

Parkes in the centre. Not his fault that the ball was knocked on. Chris

:19:23.:19:30.

joins us in the commentary box. You only just made it. I almost missed

:19:31.:19:37.

that. Phil Burleigh making that tackle. In the corner, how important

:19:38.:19:42.

was that. It could have been a great start for

:19:43.:19:46.

the Scarlets. Seven points around the post but here we go. A good

:19:47.:19:53.

attacking opportunity for Edinburgh. It will give an idea of how

:19:54.:19:57.

Edinburgh play. I would like to see them attack from here. I think we

:19:58.:20:01.

shall see a kick. Well, it is in their own half.

:20:02.:20:09.

A free kick. Early engagement from the Scarlets'

:20:10.:20:20.

front row. And they have opted for another

:20:21.:20:25.

scrum. Chris can tell me more but I was

:20:26.:20:31.

speaking to the Edinburgh committee, sitting in the front row in Pro12,

:20:32.:20:38.

yet going for a scrum here. It is the two that work so well

:20:39.:20:45.

together. Rory Sutherland and Cochrane is a good player and

:20:46.:20:51.

Andress has experience. I would like them to take a quick tap. Well, they

:20:52.:21:00.

have played 11, 12, and 13 games this season, so they know their way

:21:01.:21:06.

around the Pro12. The referee almost gave them another penalty.

:21:07.:21:10.

Michael Collins under pressure. He gets it out the back door to Rhodri

:21:11.:21:12.

Williams. Ju taking that back.

:21:13.:21:33.

Bless her does the cleaning up work. In comes Tom Brown.

:21:34.:21:43.

-- Bresner does the cleaning up work.

:21:44.:21:54.

It's half-time in the other two games, Leinster with a healthy 26-0

:21:55.:22:09.

lead. Glasgow ahead in the game 5-3. Tom Brown getting hit hard. He is an

:22:10.:22:12.

exciting runner. Setting the stall. I don't think that the hands of John

:22:13.:22:33.

Andress were meant to go there. But welcome possession for Edinburgh.

:22:34.:22:36.

Scrambling that one away. Time for Greig Tonks.

:22:37.:23:10.

There is a bit of a breeze out there. They are trying to see who

:23:11.:23:21.

can get the advantage with that. Shingler gets the Scarlets going

:23:22.:23:29.

forward. They look for a bit of width. Morgan

:23:30.:23:36.

Allen, straight through the middle! That will be so disappointing for

:23:37.:23:46.

Alan Solomons but very welcome for Wayne as Morgan Allen bursts his way

:23:47.:23:48.

through. . It started from poor kicking. Then

:23:49.:23:57.

George Earle reacted and it was moved out. Moved out to Morgan

:23:58.:24:03.

Allen. He bought the time from the defence and decided to go for it.

:24:04.:24:07.

Burst through the tackle with Hoyland.

:24:08.:24:12.

There was a better line speed there. It was a poor kick. But you make

:24:13.:24:16.

that a better kick with your line speed and chase. To be honest

:24:17.:24:22.

Edinburgh were not interested. So Morgan Allen, thinks, hang on, I

:24:23.:24:28.

can fend off a tackle and he is in for the easiest try of the season.

:24:29.:24:33.

They gave him all the rights to make his decision. A hell of a score.

:24:34.:24:44.

Steven Shingler supplies the extra two points. So even though the

:24:45.:24:49.

Scarlets did not get of to a flier, they get off to a dpeent start and a

:24:50.:24:58.

7-point lead. -- different start and a 7-point

:24:59.:25:00.

lead. Greig Tonks taking the re-start.

:25:01.:25:16.

No nonsense from the Scarlets's scrum-half. Polytheists It was a

:25:17.:25:23.

great catch from Rhodri Williams. You mentioned it, the wind is

:25:24.:25:28.

getting up here. It is swirling. There was a catch from Williams that

:25:29.:25:33.

set up that attack and there was the try score of Morgan Allen with all

:25:34.:25:37.

of the time in the world to assess options and drive through the tackle

:25:38.:25:43.

of Hoyland. After missing the start are of the

:25:44.:25:55.

season, he is adding in another try tonight.

:25:56.:26:00.

Phil Burleigh... Waiting for the off load.

:26:01.:26:09.

A beautifully delayed pass. The clearance is good for Nathan

:26:10.:26:23.

Fowles. Both teams showing good attacking

:26:24.:26:24.

intent early on. It has been slowed down. Phil

:26:25.:26:42.

Burleigh takes his eyes off it. Hoyland recovering for Edinburgh.

:26:43.:27:01.

This is what Edinburgh need after conceding points. Some confidence

:27:02.:27:07.

and attack. It is a dozen phases that they have

:27:08.:27:13.

gone through. The Scarlets defence is standing firm and pushing them

:27:14.:27:15.

backwards. Not committing if they don't have to

:27:16.:27:25.

the break down. Good for the space. Tom Brown on the outside.

:27:26.:27:37.

Fowles... Still Edinburgh keep the possession.

:27:38.:27:52.

Keeping the ball well, Edinburgh. They are being patient.

:27:53.:28:07.

They are edging their way forward. Just inside the Scarlets's 22. Greig

:28:08.:28:17.

Tonks has the ball ripped from his grabs by Steven Shingler. That

:28:18.:28:28.

allows Michael copiness to clear. -- Collins to clear.

:28:29.:29:02.

They sort that out. Steven Shingler didn't like the reaction.

:29:03.:29:14.

Clearly a late hit by you. You reacted by pushing him. When the

:29:15.:29:18.

whistle is gone, you stop what you are doing. The penalty is against

:29:19.:29:20.

you for a late tackle. We can see exactly what happened.

:29:21.:29:34.

The ball was whipped away from Greig Tonks. As he got his pass away, the

:29:35.:29:39.

suggestion that he got the tackle in late. Nice attack. But look at the

:29:40.:29:52.

bottom of the screen... Coming in... Clean and out. Shingler... Just

:29:53.:30:07.

missed it. Did not connect. It was high and slate. -- it was high and

:30:08.:30:16.

late. Trying to keep him from the floor. A

:30:17.:31:08.

maul has been called. Good defensive work from Edinburgh. The one thing

:31:09.:31:14.

we saw from the last movement, a bit of flair and skill and a few passes

:31:15.:31:18.

from behind the players, keeping their patients, unfortunately they

:31:19.:31:21.

lost the ball, but much better play from Edinburgh. The hold-up tackle

:31:22.:31:36.

their... If the ballplayer's knees touches the ground, then that is a

:31:37.:31:43.

tackle. Quite often it is about getting gamma MI5 -- getting gamma

:31:44.:31:58.

knees -- getting down the knee. So much time on the ball. Does not look

:31:59.:32:10.

big. Talking about the second row from South Africa, we would talking

:32:11.:32:17.

with the coach, so much homework on him... Victor Matfield, one of the

:32:18.:32:23.

greatest second row forwards in world rugby. They are very keen on

:32:24.:32:33.

him making his mark. He has signed until 2019, so he has time. So much

:32:34.:32:38.

time on the ball here, to weigh up... You do not often see that in

:32:39.:32:42.

today's game. Usually you see the ball under pressure. One thing we

:32:43.:32:47.

can say, Edinburgh have not yet got the gist of the wind. Some of the

:32:48.:32:52.

kicking has been very poor. It has picked up, since the start of the

:32:53.:32:59.

game. Steven Shingler, allowed the ball to bounce sensibly, because it

:33:00.:33:00.

was held up in the wind. Good scrum by Edinburgh. Edwards and

:33:01.:33:12.

Sutherland on the far side. Cochrane enjoying himself. Good

:33:13.:33:35.

scrum. Scarlet have got a couple of veterans as prop forwards. A strain

:33:36.:33:46.

all season. This is effectively the second front row. The first will be

:33:47.:33:51.

tomorrow. So choreographed together. I tell you what, that scrum-half

:33:52.:34:13.

reminds me of Justin Martyr when he was 18. When he was 18...

:34:14.:34:28.

Rediscovered himself. Old-fashioned player, I think it is a really good

:34:29.:34:33.

thing. Passes, distribute first, does not look himself. Purely there

:34:34.:34:37.

to be the link between the forwards and the backs, when you have a

:34:38.:34:41.

dominant pack, it is a good thing to have as a scrum-half. Such a good

:34:42.:34:46.

player on the bench for Scotland as well. Failing to find touch where

:34:47.:34:57.

they end up. As I say, the wind is swirling all over the place. Will

:34:58.:35:04.

have to learn to keep it fairly low. It is all over the place. No, step

:35:05.:35:10.

off. Line-out calls. That says something

:35:11.:35:38.

about the power of the Edinburgh front row. Good position. Opting to

:35:39.:35:45.

go back for the line-out. Aaron Shingler asked if they could have a

:35:46.:35:49.

line-out, he is a goatee man for this. Shingler called that, yes.

:35:50.:36:03.

Just to fill us all, they go for George Hill. -- fool. A penalty at

:36:04.:36:17.

least to come from it. Speculative from Shingler.

:36:18.:36:29.

I wonder if they fancy a chip for the caller, trying to repeat it. I

:36:30.:36:38.

would go for the corner again, difficult in the wind, go for the

:36:39.:36:43.

drive. When they pull them all down in that area, yellow card, warning.

:36:44.:36:48.

Then it is in the mind of the referee. You can see him in from the

:36:49.:36:58.

side, trying to tackle the maul. If you go back to three minutes,

:36:59.:37:02.

similar position, Edinburgh had the penalty... The pressure has come on,

:37:03.:37:07.

they have conceded a penalty, where they should have had an attacking

:37:08.:37:12.

set piece, over halfway, they are now facing Shingler.

:37:13.:37:23.

Somewhere in the mid-60s, percentage-wise, Steven Shingler.

:37:24.:37:28.

Crucial one against Connacht, last time out.

:37:29.:37:42.

They extend their lead to ten. It was a very good kick. Good kick

:37:43.:38:07.

against Connacht to win the game. Last kick of the game went inside

:38:08.:38:11.

the post, is used to pressure kicking. Shingler had a fair bit of

:38:12.:38:19.

ground to make up to get to that one.

:38:20.:38:25.

Boyd, loses possession. Edwards has gone forward. Can I make a quick

:38:26.:38:34.

point, Shingler having to come forward to take the kick reminded me

:38:35.:38:38.

of Dan Biggar, taking the kick at the Aviva Stadium last week, the key

:38:39.:38:43.

number ten coming forward, and taking it for the Edinburgh forward.

:38:44.:38:46.

Somebody else should claim that ball, not Steve Shingler. We are

:38:47.:38:53.

playing an. And the knock-on effect, nobody organising, from their use or

:38:54.:39:01.

a good tackle from Cochrane. -- from there, you saw a great tackle from

:39:02.:39:06.

Cochrane. Lets have a look at this scrum and see what pressure there is

:39:07.:39:14.

on them. Do you want to keep it straight,?

:39:15.:39:26.

The referee wants a word with the two front rows. Come here for a

:39:27.:39:39.

second, we had a discussion inside, stability was the minimum

:39:40.:39:42.

requirement, holds the hit, take the pressure off. I cannot make my

:39:43.:39:49.

message any clearer than that. -- hold the hit. Having a chuckle...

:39:50.:39:56.

Both Tynedale laces, finding something to occupy themselves with.

:39:57.:40:02.

They really took a lot of notice of what the referee said. -- both tying

:40:03.:40:09.

their laces. Only his 18th game in charge. Trying to impose himself on

:40:10.:40:18.

the front rows but as always, they are a law unto themselves. Good,

:40:19.:40:24.

steady scrum by Edinburgh. Winning the penalty for his team. Kept him

:40:25.:40:31.

in there, got the extra drive going, Llanelli Scarlets standing up. Good

:40:32.:40:34.

position, do they get the three points? Do they put in from the

:40:35.:40:40.

corner? Let's have a look. I think they go for the three points. Chris

:40:41.:40:44.

will know the kick is better than I do. A couple of options, Greg

:40:45.:40:50.

Johnson has kicked, fill has kicked as well. -- Phil

:40:51.:40:59.

keeping the power on. Look at Phil Jones, saying, look at that, not my

:41:00.:41:15.

fall to! Amazing, the prop forward. Deserving all of the credit for

:41:16.:41:20.

getting in there. You were making the point about Dan Biggar, earlier,

:41:21.:41:25.

you are quite right. We have played in those kind of positions, if it is

:41:26.:41:30.

good early ball, take it, if it is dangerous, leave it to the back row.

:41:31.:41:34.

The same thing has happened to Dan Biggar, and Steve Shingler is the

:41:35.:41:35.

same. Nathan falls curls it around,

:41:36.:41:49.

Edinburgh have their first points of the evening. Good clip, we mentioned

:41:50.:41:56.

that he blasted it, never easy outside the right-hand side, not a

:41:57.:41:59.

regular kicker, did well to keep his composure.

:42:00.:42:08.

Sad to see Shingler coming off. -- Nathan Fowles. He is making way, so

:42:09.:42:22.

we will find some company. I am behind enemy lines, in the BBC

:42:23.:42:29.

Scotland commentary position! What have you made of this so far, looks

:42:30.:42:35.

like a classic case of the Edinburgh scrum against the Scarlet backs.

:42:36.:42:40.

Absolutely, Edinburgh scrum has been dominant, three penalties, but this

:42:41.:42:44.

is a key moment, Steve Shingler going off, he has been a class act,

:42:45.:42:48.

controlling things very well. He has gone off with an injury which is

:42:49.:42:54.

really going to hinder them. Member you are in the BBC Scotland

:42:55.:42:57.

commentary box but this is BBC Wales you are talking to. This is a better

:42:58.:43:06.

game to play the last way, it is going to be more unstructured, both

:43:07.:43:10.

sites willing to play. Last week against England they got strangled.

:43:11.:43:16.

With the defence. I expect Scotland to press and be better, but I also

:43:17.:43:18.

expect Wales to be better. Stepping his way back in feel. --

:43:19.:43:44.

infield. Up to Aled Thomas to take advantage.

:43:45.:44:22.

Phil Jones, driving, defying his age. And a chance there. 192 league

:44:23.:44:31.

games, only John Muldoon O'Connor who has played more. -- Phil John.

:44:32.:44:41.

Telling Andy Parks how to play the game! LAUGHTER

:44:42.:45:07.

Thomas continues where Shingler left off. What is important from the

:45:08.:45:16.

Scarlet 's point of view, gaining points, so soon after conceding,

:45:17.:45:21.

from the kick-off. That is good from the Llanelli Scarlets. Putting

:45:22.:45:29.

height in it. Swerve, takes the ball, who is in charge? Here he

:45:30.:45:34.

goes. Similar kind of position, more Carrie. -- carry.

:45:35.:45:51.

Unfortunately for Neil Cochrane, the reason he could not roll away, he is

:45:52.:46:03.

down hurt. He made the tackle, well taken by Morgan Allen. Quite often

:46:04.:46:14.

it is the hip, it is a brave tackle, a good tackle. Called him around the

:46:15.:46:25.

hip area, strongman, brave man. I don't think that he will be playing

:46:26.:46:29.

much more, he will not play any greater part -- further part in this

:46:30.:46:36.

game. Getting the treatment that he needs, we will go back to Phil. 13-3

:46:37.:46:45.

after 25, are you happy? Definitely, we have a lot of intensity. We look

:46:46.:46:52.

quite sharp in attack. Morgan took his try well. Definitely happy. What

:46:53.:47:02.

about Steven Shingler? It is an injury to Disney, so he will be seen

:47:03.:47:06.

by the medics and hopefully it is not going to be too dangerous. --

:47:07.:47:12.

his knee. Straight into the kicking, and getting one over. E has been

:47:13.:47:19.

kicking well, over 80%. If you can keep the Edinburgh scrum at bay, it

:47:20.:47:23.

will be great. Queued for them, the scrum and the set piece. We have not

:47:24.:47:29.

done too badly so far, we have conceded a couple of penalties,

:47:30.:47:32.

still looking quite strong. Thank you for your time, as always. Neil

:47:33.:47:38.

Cochrane departs. Another hooker goes missing. Two in the Scottish

:47:39.:47:51.

centre, Turner replacing Cochrane. Young lad, he was in the academy

:47:52.:47:55.

when I was there, plays in the back as well.

:47:56.:48:04.

Looking to go wide early, the ball has been ripped from their

:48:05.:48:49.

possession. Beating the man very easily. Just enough to halt the

:48:50.:49:03.

progression. Now it is Sam Baird's chance to go for it. Slips it back

:49:04.:49:14.

inside. Good pressure by the Scarlet defence.

:49:15.:49:24.

As yet, the Scarlet defence coping very well in the Edinburgh attacks.

:49:25.:49:58.

Building the faces, keeping them in the same place in the end. As to go

:49:59.:50:11.

for possession. All onside. Back in the hands of Gareth Owens. Just

:50:12.:50:15.

missing out, Phil Burleigh. All kinds of things happening, how on

:50:16.:50:26.

earth... Just a quick point, Tom Brown, looking very sharp. Gareth

:50:27.:50:32.

Owen, normally a centre guard, known for his skills and not his pace. If

:50:33.:50:37.

I knew that, I would be wanting to movable as quick as I can. Tom Brown

:50:38.:50:42.

is a good player, really quick. Kicking game is not his strongest. I

:50:43.:50:47.

think he is really at home on the wing. Fast, quick. Gareth Owen I

:50:48.:50:53.

like as well. Good luck describing this, this is the end of it, the

:50:54.:50:58.

penalty comes in. Dropping over. Actually reacted very well. Good

:50:59.:51:05.

work with that, you have got to stay on your feet. Wrestler was involved

:51:06.:51:18.

in the tackle. -- Bresler. Edinburgh have had a lot of possession but

:51:19.:51:20.

they have not done much with it. Hamish Watson protecting the ball

:51:21.:51:38.

but not getting a chance to drive on. Slow ball, cannot use that. Take

:51:39.:51:48.

it up again. George Turner, replacement hooker.

:51:49.:51:56.

Called them all very early. -- called the maul. And as usual,

:51:57.:52:11.

Shingler is in the thick of things. This is it, the tackle... Shingler,

:52:12.:52:16.

he as well, because the ball was called, he does not have to roll

:52:17.:52:24.

away. I'm not sure I like that law. I can understand it but I would like

:52:25.:52:28.

to see that player have to go away, so the ball is in continuity.

:52:29.:52:32.

Leinster already racking up the bonus points, against Zebre.

:52:33.:52:40.

Leinster are the ones in between them in the table. And trailing 5-3

:52:41.:52:47.

at half-time, but now leading 10-5, Leinster. That is a huge result.

:52:48.:52:53.

That puts them into third, second or third. So tight at the top. A lot of

:52:54.:53:05.

players lose fitness towards the end of the season. Glasgow have two

:53:06.:53:12.

games in hand. 17 fighting former pro Quattro places. -- seven teams

:53:13.:53:27.

fighting for four places. Top six for Europe, and top four, for the

:53:28.:53:30.

play-off matches at the end of the season. A couple of battles. Well,

:53:31.:53:39.

if the results go as they stand at present, that is what the table will

:53:40.:53:48.

look like. Ulster will top. Leinster will jump over the Scarlet 's. That

:53:49.:53:53.

is how it stands, that is if it stays the same way. -- Llanelli

:53:54.:54:03.

Scarlets. Five of the six there. To be fair, Connor had been surprise

:54:04.:54:12.

package. The big thing, looking at the table I have in front of me,

:54:13.:54:16.

they have nine bonus points, when they have lost games, they have made

:54:17.:54:19.

sure that they away with the bonus points. That is testament to the way

:54:20.:54:24.

that they play the game. Great to see Connor doing well, for years he

:54:25.:54:30.

had been regarded as a junior. And getting representation in the Irish

:54:31.:54:37.

team as well. Plain good rugby as well. That is great to see. Bonus

:54:38.:54:41.

point away from home. That should be rewarded.

:54:42.:54:48.

Feet going away from him, John Andress.

:54:49.:55:01.

Touch finder. John Andress being penalised this time. You see his

:55:02.:55:13.

feet going away. His feet are so far behind him, there was always only

:55:14.:55:15.

going to be one result. Played well by Ben Tullius, getting

:55:16.:55:27.

in there. That replacement, Neil Cochrane

:55:28.:55:43.

going off with a head injury assessment, now permanent, so George

:55:44.:55:47.

Turner will stay on the field. Just getting up. Only 15, 20 metres.

:55:48.:56:01.

Might Allen. Greig Tonks, and Brown is straight through a crowd of

:56:02.:56:16.

defenders. Just a little bit strong. Very unlucky. Might Allen could not

:56:17.:56:22.

gather that one. Great work by Tom Brown, emerging from a mass of

:56:23.:56:26.

defenders and getting the ball away, just that little bit too strong. Two

:56:27.:56:37.

steels in a row. Watch Tom Brown here, no space to work with, steps

:56:38.:56:45.

inside, good feet. Little bit too hard, and hits his chest. -- steals.

:56:46.:56:50.

The golden raw with off-loading, if you can see the player you are

:56:51.:56:52.

passing to and you know that the lane is clear, give it, but this was

:56:53.:56:57.

rushed. Great attack from Tom Brown, again. He has certainly been the

:56:58.:57:03.

danger man for Edinburgh. Gareth Owen, as I have said, on the right

:57:04.:57:08.

wing, normally a centre, known for his skills and not his pace. Tom

:57:09.:57:12.

Brown looking very dangerous and sharp. Looks like he's getting

:57:13.:57:22.

treatment at the moment. I have always thought that he is a good

:57:23.:57:30.

ball player. Good attacking kicking game. Tom Brown as an out and out

:57:31.:57:44.

winner... Getting clipped as they looked to cover. He knows that he

:57:45.:57:54.

has a big nights work on his hands defensively.

:57:55.:58:24.

Scarlet will have to try to sort out this crime problem, they are coming

:58:25.:58:28.

under pressure. -- Scarlets. Greig Tonks... Goes aerial... Safely

:58:29.:58:39.

taken by Aled Thomas. Gareth Owen... Slip the tackle...

:58:40.:59:38.

Could not quite keep his feet... Could not keep control of the ball.

:59:39.:59:41.

Back downfield. Lovely break by Gareth Owen, I said

:59:42.:59:56.

that he lacks a yard of pace, but he's very skilful. Lost control of

:59:57.:00:03.

the ball there. Sped away as he looked to present it back.

:00:04.:00:08.

Underneath the flanker, a little show of the ball, half past ten.

:00:09.:00:14.

Talented footballer, people tipping him to reach the very top, suffering

:00:15.:00:18.

injuries but a valuable member of the squad.

:00:19.:00:33.

Yep, top quality player in the centre in mid-field. Not at his best

:00:34.:00:43.

this evening but always useful he can move about positions.

:00:44.:00:48.

If is interesting that Hadleigh Parkes started on the wing but he is

:00:49.:00:52.

such an important player, they need him in the centre.

:00:53.:00:55.

He is a strong man. Down the middle. A lovely off road from Toolis. To

:00:56.:01:41.

Phil Burleigh. Coman just a couple of metres short.

:01:42.:01:47.

Fowles looks to see who is there. The pressure is still on.

:01:48.:01:54.

Coman has stayed down. The Edinburgh captain is hurt. His team need

:01:55.:01:59.

points here at the end of the first half.

:02:00.:02:03.

Mike Allen, no way through the forwards.

:02:04.:02:12.

Defence, though, has reformed as they slowed the ball down. Greig

:02:13.:02:17.

Tonks, oh, a good step from Greig Tonks. It passed Allen easily.

:02:18.:02:26.

Toolis arrives. A good drive again.

:02:27.:02:37.

Rory Sutherland around the corner. The Scarlets have won it.

:02:38.:02:43.

They get a chance to clear. Important for them. It looked as

:02:44.:02:49.

though they were going to score. They have come away empty handed but

:02:50.:02:56.

the rush kick puts the pressure been by Damien Hoyland.

:02:57.:03:05.

Coman back up on his feet on the far wing.

:03:06.:03:15.

Hamish Watson... Again the Scarlets not committing to the breakdown

:03:16.:03:16.

unless they think they can win it. Two New Zealanders, 10 and 12 for

:03:17.:03:35.

Edinburgh. The Southern Hemisphere influence is big in the squad.

:03:36.:03:53.

The Scarlets slowing down. A big decision for the cape. Take

:03:54.:03:58.

the three points or the corner. They have had little change from the

:03:59.:04:01.

Scarlets defence. Yes, the defence has been great. I

:04:02.:04:05.

think that they will take the three points. Lots of ball. Lots of

:04:06.:04:11.

excitements, thrills and aggression. Great running here.

:04:12.:04:16.

You think there is bound to be a try but great covering defence from the

:04:17.:04:20.

Scarlets. And they are still odds on to get the ball and make use of it,

:04:21.:04:24.

possibly get a try but a wonderful turnover for the Scarlets.

:04:25.:04:31.

Morgan Allen, a good night for him. And Kirby Myhill with the important

:04:32.:04:36.

tackle on Coman to save the day on the far side.

:04:37.:05:00.

Oh! Outside of the post. Damien Hoyland gets it quickly. A good

:05:01.:05:08.

reaction from Rhodri Williams. The Scarlets don't concede late on.

:05:09.:05:16.

There will be time for one more play.

:05:17.:05:20.

I know there is a swirling wind but he will be disappointed with that.

:05:21.:05:24.

Not the hardest one in the world. Relief for the Scarlets.

:05:25.:05:31.

They need to keep them out one more time to go in with a 10-point

:05:32.:05:38.

advantage. A simple mistake in the end and the

:05:39.:05:44.

Scarlets' defence stands firm. It hasn't been breached at all. Just

:05:45.:05:51.

the one penalty from Nathan Fowles. Striking the woodwork with his

:05:52.:05:55.

second effort. The only try of the evening, bhe longing to the

:05:56.:06:01.

homeside, Morgan Allen. I think that they would be pretty satisfied.

:06:02.:06:08.

13-3 they lead. Pleased with the defence there, you were under the

:06:09.:06:14.

coche? Yes, we were. I think that we have played really well.

:06:15.:06:19.

The line speed has been lacking in the last few weeks, so this is

:06:20.:06:21.

pleasing. How much ball do you need to extend

:06:22.:06:27.

the score? We have looked OK. Hopefully we can get the ball a bit

:06:28.:06:31.

more and get a bit of a crack at them. That would be nice.

:06:32.:06:36.

Thanks for your time. These games are almost always close.

:06:37.:06:40.

Often one score that separates the two teams it is close tonight as

:06:41.:06:44.

well. Morgan Allen with that try. And well

:06:45.:06:51.

taken by the big man as well. Edinburgh had a few shots at goal.

:06:52.:06:57.

One at the dying half-time. 13-3 is the half-time score. The statistics

:06:58.:07:05.

there. Scarlets making three times more

:07:06.:07:16.

possession. Edinburgh making twice as many

:07:17.:07:22.

carries. If Alan Solomons is having a look at the statistics, he is

:07:23.:07:27.

probably thinking why are they not ahead? The defence has been

:07:28.:07:33.

powerful. They have had a great scramble defence. Any time Edinburgh

:07:34.:07:38.

have looked dangerous, they have snuffed it out. And the discipline,

:07:39.:07:43.

two kickable penalties, one they have kicked, one they have missed.

:07:44.:07:48.

So it is more what the Scarlets are doing.

:07:49.:07:53.

Edinburgh has had possession but the Scarlets' defence impressed me.

:07:54.:07:56.

And both of that is something that they were not renowned for,

:07:57.:08:01.

Scarlets. Discipline, and the yellow cards, in discipline. In terms of

:08:02.:08:10.

defence, it wassedburg's defence but the Scarlets are snuffing them out

:08:11.:08:15.

at each opportunity. You read the riot act, the penalties

:08:16.:08:20.

have been bad for the Scarlets, so there is a time that they put it to

:08:21.:08:25.

bed. Defensively, the Scarlets are better but they are passive. It is

:08:26.:08:30.

not often you can get a ball to outside of the 13 channel off set

:08:31.:08:36.

phase. Both teams are managing to do that. There is a sense of

:08:37.:08:40.

passiveness. As the Scarlets have a more dangerous back line, that makes

:08:41.:08:45.

them a more potent threat. Even though the statistics may show

:08:46.:08:48.

something, I think that the Scarlets are attempting to play more rugby

:08:49.:08:54.

than Edinburgh. So for me, they are deservedly in the lead. It was like

:08:55.:08:59.

the teams were listening to the pre-match analysis. We spoke about

:09:00.:09:04.

the contrasting styles. In the opening minute we saw the Scarlets

:09:05.:09:09.

attack and the Edinburgh defence? It was a great start. Highlighting the

:09:10.:09:13.

contrast. As we can see here. There is a great kick-off. Edinburgh

:09:14.:09:23.

misjudged it. Then a great defensive tackle by Phil Burleigh. The

:09:24.:09:27.

Scarlets pick up the ball, they are on the attack. Edinburgh's des fence

:09:28.:09:38.

is well organise Nuysed. -- organised. A great start by both

:09:39.:09:44.

teams and highlighted what the Scarlets are about. And in fact what

:09:45.:09:50.

Edinburgh are about in terms of a great turnover, getting the game off

:09:51.:09:57.

to a quick start. Chris, if you were wearing the red and black shirt,

:09:58.:10:02.

what might you be saying? I think that they have to mix the attack up.

:10:03.:10:08.

You need a better balance. There is space out wide but often there is a

:10:09.:10:13.

forward at first receiver. I would like to see Greig Tonks and Phil

:10:14.:10:17.

Burleigh, the right footer and the left footer and more variation in

:10:18.:10:21.

the play. Morgan Allen was not the first

:10:22.:10:25.

receiver, in the back line but he took it well? He showed good pace.

:10:26.:10:30.

Bur this happened from a poor kick. The Scarlets take it back. The key

:10:31.:10:36.

thing, run it back, sorry. The key thing they got three front five

:10:37.:10:39.

forwards. They are working hard to make up the inside shoulder. There

:10:40.:10:44.

is a winger in two minds with two Scarlets backs, and then the path is

:10:45.:10:49.

clear for Morgan Allen to attack the winger and score a great try. A good

:10:50.:10:56.

try from the Scarlets. Morguan far too powerful. Over he goes.

:10:57.:11:01.

Looking comfortable in the wide channels. Gareth you spoke about the

:11:02.:11:07.

strength of the Scarlets back line even without the Wales

:11:08.:11:11.

internationals. You were surprised, the conditions good but getting the

:11:12.:11:16.

ball early? They have the intent to go wide. Outside of the 13 channel,

:11:17.:11:20.

it is difficult for the defence to come up. They take the ball forward.

:11:21.:11:25.

As soon as the ball is away, you see the Edinburgh defence is tracking

:11:26.:11:29.

back with the Scarlets attack, so an easy place to get the ball. Once

:11:30.:11:34.

there, you are almost guaranteed lines. It is great skill. Getting

:11:35.:11:39.

into the middle to hit it up to make the numbers to go wide it is

:11:40.:11:45.

intelligent play by an intelligent Scarlets back right. And Chris a

:11:46.:11:50.

similar thing from Edinburgh in the wide channels nearly on the outside

:11:51.:11:54.

of the Scarlets defence but snuffed by the cover tackling? For me, that

:11:55.:12:00.

is where the space is. The first place is near the break down, the

:12:01.:12:05.

guard, the shield, the A. The first three defenders. They were obsessed

:12:06.:12:09.

with organising them. Towards the edge there is space for the defender

:12:10.:12:14.

to corp. So getting the ball there, there is space to atang. -- attack.

:12:15.:12:23.

It is an area with Tom Brown on the left and Greig Tonks hitting the

:12:24.:12:28.

line and Damien Hoyland, we should be attacking more.

:12:29.:12:31.

Plenty of dangerous players in the back line. Phil has been paying

:12:32.:12:39.

close attention to the Scarlets defence, it has been watertight?

:12:40.:12:44.

Yes, as Gareth said, clinical but well organised.

:12:45.:12:53.

Will Boyde comes out. There is George Earle and Shingler holding

:12:54.:12:58.

him up, there is a great turnover. They are well organised in the

:12:59.:13:02.

defence. They are off the line and making good tackles.

:13:03.:13:07.

Thank you, Phil. The second half is fast approaching. As always on BBC

:13:08.:13:13.

Television, we have a packed feast of rugby coming your way this

:13:14.:13:14.

weekend. Might that be the try now, yes it

:13:15.:13:31.

is! Stuart showing all the way! Wales go again. He reaches out and

:13:32.:13:37.

scores. Wales v Scotland is live tomorrow

:13:38.:13:44.

from the Pincipality Stadium from S 4 C and BBC Wales.

:13:45.:14:02.

And to the big event Wales v Scotland at the Pincipality Stadium.

:14:03.:14:20.

The time to hear the news that Dan bigger has recovered.

:14:21.:14:24.

-- Dan Bigger. Lazarus powers of recovery. So back

:14:25.:14:40.

in the saddle. A huge boost? It is a huge boost to the team and for the

:14:41.:14:45.

confidence. What I like about it, is the fact they put him back in there.

:14:46.:14:52.

For me last week came a resurgence of receivening Priestland. We have a

:14:53.:15:00.

world-class player in Dan bigger. -- Bigge are.

:15:01.:15:05.

I have great confidence we have a great ten sitting on the bench as

:15:06.:15:10.

well. As good as it is for him to come back, last week for him to

:15:11.:15:14.

leave the field gave us that Priestland effect.

:15:15.:15:23.

Dan Biggar is going to start tomorrow. That injury looked

:15:24.:15:28.

painful. Will Scotland target him tomorrow? They won't target the

:15:29.:15:34.

injury. The problem will be kicking. If it is not quite right, he may

:15:35.:15:39.

have to strap it up, it may have the effect. Scotland have to concentrate

:15:40.:15:43.

on themselves. They did to an extent last week. But I was blown away with

:15:44.:15:49.

the physicality of the Welsh team. I know Gareth was in Dublin but the

:15:50.:15:55.

physicality was mind blowing. Scotland cannot cope with that. So

:15:56.:15:59.

by focussing on your ten, you are not thinking about how you can

:16:00.:16:03.

affect the game. Hopefully Scotland will think of themselves, and bring

:16:04.:16:08.

in attacking space and bring a tempo that is great to watch.

:16:09.:16:16.

We have a world-class 12, if he needs to protect his ten, he can

:16:17.:16:21.

protect him. The guys can get around him. If they need to protect them,

:16:22.:16:27.

they can do that. They are strong on the back three.

:16:28.:16:33.

And on last week's game, no better buyered guard than Jamie Roberts.

:16:34.:16:42.

Now the thoughts of a families man to wear the Welsh Number 10 jersey.

:16:43.:16:51.

Phil, we have spoken about how receivening Priestland has performed

:16:52.:16:57.

but in terms of Dan Biggar, how good is this? It is great. For him to be

:16:58.:17:04.

declared fit. There was talk of four to six weeks, he he is back. Gareth

:17:05.:17:13.

alluded to receivening Priestland in great form -- radios Priestland, so

:17:14.:17:19.

two great Number 10s. Hope that they will not risk him. He has to be 100%

:17:20.:17:26.

fit, if he is, a huge boost to the Welsh team. Thank you very much. The

:17:27.:17:32.

teams are on the way back out. Edinburgh, get them out on the field

:17:33.:17:36.

before crossing over to the commentary box. I will ask for a

:17:37.:17:41.

quick prediction? 10 points ahead? I think that they

:17:42.:17:49.

will. This is a back line with a lot more

:17:50.:17:53.

play in it. I think that the Scarlets will have

:17:54.:17:58.

more possession in the second half. So Edinburgh's defence will have to

:17:59.:18:01.

improve. But there are runners on that side that can pick up a loose

:18:02.:18:05.

ball and finish them off. They have been close. So it will be another

:18:06.:18:09.

tight one, I think. All to play. Ten points in it. The

:18:10.:18:14.

teams are on the pitch. We can return to the commentary box, to

:18:15.:18:18.

Phil Bennett and Gareth Giles. 13-3, the Scarlets lead. They have

:18:19.:18:39.

been theres about all season. They want to stay there in the top four.

:18:40.:18:46.

They will find out that Leinster has got maximum points. The games of

:18:47.:18:51.

Ulster and Glasgow is another to keep an eye on. All that the

:18:52.:18:55.

Scarlets can do is to carry on what they have been doing in the first

:18:56.:19:00.

half. A good take by Hamish Du Preez.

:19:01.:19:07.

Excellent defence by the Scarlets in the first half. Kept out Edinburgh,

:19:08.:19:14.

down to one penalty. A nice flick out of the back door

:19:15.:19:18.

from Greig Tonks to Tom Brown. Hamish Watson.

:19:19.:19:39.

Edinburgh keep the possession. Going Hamish Watson.

:19:40.:19:49.

through the phases, working their way downfield. But in this effective

:19:50.:19:56.

defence by the Scarlets, they are almost managing to get the ball. In

:19:57.:20:03.

the end it is DTH Van der Merwe who is amongst the forwards to give away

:20:04.:20:09.

the penalty. What worries me, Edinburgh have lots of possession.

:20:10.:20:12.

They are keeping their patience well. There must be a line break

:20:13.:20:18.

sooner or later. It is only good defence.

:20:19.:20:22.

That is unlucky on Van der Merwe. The ball was in Nathan Fowles'

:20:23.:20:25.

hands. It was clear of the breakdown.

:20:26.:20:29.

He just knocked it away. That is very unlucky.

:20:30.:20:37.

This is a vital kick. The one he missed before half-time. A vital

:20:38.:20:45.

three points. It could be 9-13. So this is a big kick for the

:20:46.:20:47.

scrum-half. No problem at all. At the beginning

:20:48.:21:09.

of the second half, Edinburgh are back.

:21:10.:21:26.

The other two games this evening started earlier. Leinster have the

:21:27.:21:33.

maximum five, they are up to 44 points.

:21:34.:21:39.

Ulster have fought back to beat Glasgow. So Ulster as well. They are

:21:40.:21:44.

on had 5. It is very tight at the top.

:21:45.:21:54.

At the moment, Connacht, 4 #5shgs Ulster 45, Leinster, 44. .

:21:55.:22:01.

Scarlets starting the evening on 40, Edinburgh on 37.

:22:02.:22:06.

And a brilliant break by Rhodri Williams.

:22:07.:22:10.

And Nathan Fowles coming back with a very important tackle. Shingler

:22:11.:22:16.

loses the ball. Immediately a half chance disappears.

:22:17.:22:21.

A great run by Rhodri Williams. He is such a live wire. I think he is

:22:22.:22:25.

off to Bristol. Scarlets will miss him. He has quick feet.

:22:26.:22:39.

That is where he is dangerous in open play. A skillful runner.

:22:40.:22:54.

Those are the half chances that in a tight game need to be nailed.

:22:55.:23:03.

But it is was very good coffer tackle from Nathan Fowles.

:23:04.:23:11.

It is a pity he is off. We lose a good youngster.

:23:12.:23:16.

Rhodri Williams his father was a very good scrum-half. With three

:23:17.:23:20.

scrum-halves, it is probably one too many.

:23:21.:23:29.

Aled Davies of course included in the Welsh squad. He has been

:23:30.:23:34.

released. He is on the bench this evening. They need a good corner man

:23:35.:23:37.

there for Rory Sutherland. Allan Dell coming off the bench.

:23:38.:23:56.

Another South African import coming on for the Edinburgh side.

:23:57.:24:12.

A big scrum for Edinburgh. Just scoring three points. They are back

:24:13.:24:19.

in the game. I'm sure that the Scarlets will want to put on the

:24:20.:24:20.

pressure. An important scrum here. The referee trialing to say before

:24:21.:24:38.

the game we had spoken about being steady but it is in through one ear,

:24:39.:24:42.

out of the other. They are not worried.

:24:43.:24:45.

Two new faces in the Edinburgh front row.

:24:46.:24:45.

Yep. Scarlets celebrating winning that

:24:46.:25:19.

penalty. Hamish Du Preez just lost patience

:25:20.:25:22.

there. George doesn't agree with it. They

:25:23.:25:26.

are both going down again. It is probably this side. It must

:25:27.:25:30.

have come from the assistant referee.

:25:31.:25:45.

35 in April, Phil Jon. A wealth of experience.

:25:46.:25:58.

Aled Tomas should come into his own. He has done well but he needs to

:25:59.:26:04.

nail this. Great kick.

:26:05.:26:09.

Thomas succeeds. That keeps Edinburgh just at bay.

:26:10.:26:14.

Just what the Scarlets wanted. Right, Phil. It was a good kick.

:26:15.:26:17.

Wide out. It's hard when you have to deliver

:26:18.:26:37.

but he ask it there. -- he did it there.

:26:38.:26:59.

Rhodri Williams indicating he is going to put the ball in the air. It

:27:00.:27:05.

didn't go out of play. Edinburgh almost caught napping.

:27:06.:27:17.

This is a little back field. Well inside the 22.

:27:18.:27:33.

This time he makes sure. That's Rory Sutherland, quickly and

:27:34.:27:43.

ready to return. They breed them tough up Melrose

:27:44.:27:47.

way. A couple of stitches will not bother him.

:27:48.:27:55.

A good young player is Sutherland. They are both small. Not big. But

:27:56.:28:01.

tremendous accountsly strong. And hopefully ball players. Guys who can

:28:02.:28:05.

carry hard. And ultimately looking for space

:28:06.:28:07.

when they are carrying. You need a better line chase than

:28:08.:28:32.

that. Good feet again from Kirby Myhill.

:28:33.:28:36.

He is taking a chance this evening, is the young hooker.

:28:37.:29:08.

Edinburgh's defence pressing. Aled Thomas loath to go over the top.

:29:09.:29:18.

Putting the pressure on Michael Collins then. I'm a bit

:29:19.:29:24.

disappointed. Edinburgh are under pressure but when the Scarlets have

:29:25.:29:30.

the ball, the main man, Regan King, he is the man makes it work and gets

:29:31.:29:35.

the space. He has not worked this evening. Regan King, a lovely long

:29:36.:29:41.

pass there but not, there it goes. That is simple passing. Kirby Myhill

:29:42.:29:49.

is playing very, very well. He is taking his chances tonight.

:29:50.:29:56.

He looked like a centre there. A balance, the show, the handle.

:29:57.:30:00.

Really comfortable on the ball. It is Kirby Myhill getting treatment.

:30:01.:30:04.

So let's go back to Phil. Thank you very much, Gareth. A

:30:05.:30:10.

council of Premiership games. The Scarlets' Derby. And then a big one

:30:11.:30:21.

Quince against Llanelli. A couple of games in the

:30:22.:30:42.

Premiership, Ebbw Vale wins against Cardiff.

:30:43.:31:00.

A good Scarlets scrum there, Gareth. That Is Mike Allen making his way up

:31:01.:31:10.

towards halfway. Damien Hoyland slips through. Still going, a great

:31:11.:31:19.

run by Damien Hoyland! That was a close-run thing it was a good run by

:31:20.:31:24.

Damien Hoyland. Good attacking player, Damien

:31:25.:31:28.

Hoyland. He played in the Seven Series. Before that a great piece of

:31:29.:31:34.

play between Sam Beard and Michael Allen.

:31:35.:31:38.

Damien Hoyland made the break there after.

:31:39.:31:43.

Two good wingers, Edinburgh, fast and sharp on their feet. They just

:31:44.:31:45.

need to get the ball more often. Not exactly what he had planned!

:31:46.:31:52.

LAUGHTER As ever, Burley is patrolling, back

:31:53.:32:14.

in the 22. When Damien Hoyland made that lovely

:32:15.:32:30.

chip over the top... Was it tripped? He said he would carry on. You do

:32:31.:32:38.

not want to incur the commentators curse.

:32:39.:32:50.

Damien Hoyland's last contribution. He is replaced by the experienced

:32:51.:32:58.

Dougie Fife. Kennedy comes on at scrum-half.

:32:59.:33:14.

Very untidy, pressure came on the Scarlet. They will be happy to just

:33:15.:33:20.

get back downfield. -- Scarlets. Fair bit of kicking, and scrappy

:33:21.:33:38.

play in the second half. Rhodri Jones. And Pete Edwards has done his

:33:39.:33:52.

work for the evening. Rhodri Jones making it seven games in a row.

:33:53.:33:55.

Departing for the Ospreys next year. Morgan Allen has had a view carries

:33:56.:34:16.

this evening. And the game's only try. Bad

:34:17.:34:30.

discipline. Ten yards for talking... Going right into the corner. The

:34:31.:34:35.

referee is not going to take no-nonsense. Calling the skipper

:34:36.:34:41.

over, listening to what he says. If he speaks to me like that one more

:34:42.:34:42.

time, is leaving the field. No-nonsense. Knock-on effect, extra

:34:43.:34:58.

ten metres. That is where discipline comes in, that is bad play. Young

:34:59.:35:04.

referee, wants to get his composure on the game full top this gives Aled

:35:05.:35:13.

Thomas a far better chance. Here he is under pressure... A wee bit

:35:14.:35:24.

harsh. No excuse at all. Morgan Allen has carried... No problem with

:35:25.:35:31.

the distance, just the accuracy. Perfectly judged. Big kick, in every

:35:32.:35:48.

sense. Never easy, a goal kick, certainly when you come into the

:35:49.:35:53.

game... Three difficult kicks, well struck. Edinburgh will be

:35:54.:36:00.

disappointed, back in the game, and then they concede two silly

:36:01.:36:04.

penalties, and all of a sudden, it is 19-6.

:36:05.:36:16.

Out to Greig Tonks. Good break. Tom Brown again? Good tackle. He is

:36:17.:36:30.

going to be a danger, they are going to have the watch out for him, they

:36:31.:36:33.

cannot fall to give him any opportunities at all.

:36:34.:36:49.

Watson, George Earle trying to hold him up.

:36:50.:37:07.

Will not be too disappointed with that. I don't know what Chris feels

:37:08.:37:14.

about it, but Edinburgh, lots of possession, good across the field,

:37:15.:37:19.

apart from Tom Brown, nobody really threatening. I would be a bit

:37:20.:37:24.

disappointed with some of the attacks. It is one thing getting the

:37:25.:37:33.

ball to the outside channels but you must stop the defenders getting

:37:34.:37:36.

there as well. Movement of the ball, to try to stop... The drawings look

:37:37.:37:41.

at those two men having a chat, referee having a chat with them.

:37:42.:37:47.

They were having a few words. Not very happy with each other.

:37:48.:37:56.

A little bit of the ball... You can see him, catching him around the

:37:57.:38:09.

next full of grabbing his neck. -- catching him around the neck.

:38:10.:38:13.

Grabbing his next white Hamish Watson was the recipient, that is

:38:14.:38:17.

the end result. Nice kick to get there, given possession away. 40, 50

:38:18.:38:20.

metres. Almost a line in the sand. They have

:38:21.:38:36.

to change the game. -- chase the game. -- grabbing his neck. Hamish

:38:37.:38:41.

Watson was the recipient. They have got to risk it, that may mean that

:38:42.:38:46.

Llanelli Scarlets get a score, but Edinburgh have got to change their

:38:47.:38:50.

tactics. They have got to play more positively in order to get that win.

:38:51.:38:57.

Only four forwards on the bench, they have really got to put in a

:38:58.:39:04.

shift. Hughes is like an extra back. They will have to dig in deep, and

:39:05.:39:07.

one of those forwards, with Rhodri Jones.

:39:08.:39:16.

The substitute is ready to come on. Ben

:39:17.:39:51.

-- Ben Toolis was on from the start, and now it is the other Toolis who

:39:52.:40:01.

is going to be coming on. He was the star the other week. One of the two

:40:02.:40:08.

men who could have played. James Ritchie. 19-year-old, coming on, for

:40:09.:40:14.

Hamish Watson. Scarlets have been first to win any

:40:15.:40:28.

kick that has been touched in flight.

:40:29.:40:55.

Edinburgh finding it hard to break down the line. Phil Burleigh has

:40:56.:41:10.

taken over the captaincy. That is better from Edinburgh.

:41:11.:41:31.

Really good support from the hooker. Setting up here on the 22. Mike

:41:32.:41:44.

Allen... A sense of urgency. Driving forward... Stabbed through. Picked

:41:45.:41:55.

off by Gareth Owen. He is the one who comes away with it. Edinburgh, I

:41:56.:42:01.

think, will be ruing knocking the ball in hand. Five metres from the

:42:02.:42:08.

line, men on the outside, if you keep all in hand, keep possession,

:42:09.:42:12.

that little chip, that was a waste of time, left the Scarlet is -- let

:42:13.:42:19.

off the Scarlets. These chips work if there is no one in the back, in

:42:20.:42:22.

the build-up, wonderful attack... Michael Allen, two or three... Look

:42:23.:42:29.

at that, George Turner, the hooker. That makes the kick all the more

:42:30.:42:37.

frustrating. They needed to keep possession and keep patients. Worked

:42:38.:42:44.

so hard to get there. A little non-chip, nothing came from it, all

:42:45.:42:47.

of that hard work has come to nothing. Big boost for the Scarlets,

:42:48.:43:01.

soon. I have been impressed with Rhodri Williams, who has come off,

:43:02.:43:11.

he has had an excellent game. Lets see what Edinburgh's Drive is like,

:43:12.:43:15.

certainly, with Ritchie standing. Could not get the drive on and the

:43:16.:43:27.

ball is beautifully picked up by George Turner. Tackle is early on

:43:28.:43:38.

Kennedy. Reaches out, I think he has got there, yes indeed, the try is a

:43:39.:43:42.

good one from Cornell du Preez, could not get the line-out drive on,

:43:43.:43:46.

but twice the number eight was involved, and crucially got over the

:43:47.:43:50.

whitewash. Powerful one, good finish from him, initially, the line-out,

:43:51.:43:56.

the shift drive, very well defended. Edinburgh kept their composure...

:43:57.:44:02.

There is Cornell du Preez, powerful man, hard man. Targeting between two

:44:03.:44:10.

defenders. Inside Phil John. He had to come, all the possession, all the

:44:11.:44:16.

territory, just cannot keep doing it like that. That is great, hard work.

:44:17.:44:24.

They have picked up the banal tempos. This man, Ritchie, they have

:44:25.:44:32.

added spark to the forwards. George John is a hooker, but he plays from

:44:33.:44:36.

the back row, so dynamic, hard tackler, good runner.

:44:37.:44:43.

Taking over the kicking duties, Greig Tonks. Bush is it to the left

:44:44.:44:53.

of the post. Scarlett is still two scores clear. Edinburgh, certainly,

:44:54.:44:59.

picked up the pace, showing their intent. Rory Pitman comes on to

:45:00.:45:07.

replace Boyd. Certainly not the traditional seven. Is another big

:45:08.:45:13.

ball-carrier, he and Morgan Allen. Couple of big ball-carrier 's.

:45:14.:45:24.

-- ball-carriers. Morgan Allen. Carried well, as we said earlier on,

:45:25.:45:31.

five yards, getting him across the line. Abandon what has had a very

:45:32.:45:41.

quiet evening. -- abandon work. -- Van Dam are worth.

:45:42.:45:52.

-- van der Merwe. Into the final quarter. And are

:45:53.:46:29.

Aled Thomas's pace on the ball and distribution is really good,

:46:30.:46:37.

bringing runners into the game. Gareth Owen... Held, let it go... It

:46:38.:46:48.

is a mess anyway. Turned over... Burley. Looking for position.

:46:49.:47:09.

Looking to keep the pressure on the Scarlets and that is just what he

:47:10.:47:19.

does. Has just left. Added that game feel, did it feel like Scarlets were

:47:20.:47:27.

in control? Yes, tight game, seems like both games are trying to play.

:47:28.:47:31.

Hopefully we can hold out now. 20 minutes remaining. How damaging was

:47:32.:47:42.

the Edinburgh scrum? They did not dominate with got some penalties

:47:43.:47:49.

ourselves. -- they did not dominate, we got some penalties ourselves.

:47:50.:47:57.

What we thought? I will take your word for it! -- -- what were your

:47:58.:47:59.

thoughts. Yet to hear a prop say that they

:48:00.:48:15.

were under pressure. What a thing to ask of a prop forward. Two fresh

:48:16.:48:21.

props on for Edinburgh. Phil Burleigh, still, Edinburgh,

:48:22.:48:39.

enjoying the possession. Now, this kick could put them back within

:48:40.:48:45.

striking distance. This would be a vital kick for them, they may go for

:48:46.:48:49.

the corner and hope for the catch and drive. He's quite a long kicker,

:48:50.:48:58.

Greig Tonks, but I would go for the corners. The pressure they have, the

:48:59.:48:59.

momentum. Showing urgency. Concede a penalty.

:49:00.:49:19.

Not moving away from the breakdown area.

:49:20.:49:29.

Moving the target... Defending it well. Taken by one Toolis and handed

:49:30.:49:49.

down to the other! Ritchie making something on his own. Calling for

:49:50.:50:00.

the heavy artillery around him for the then tool is leading the way.

:50:01.:50:06.

Even though George Turner was there, for the walkover, I think... You to

:50:07.:50:17.

chance gone begging. Defending the driving maul, but the big fellas

:50:18.:50:29.

need to take those passes. George Turner was round the corner... Just

:50:30.:50:37.

off the bench, tighthead, you want your handle the ball, five metres

:50:38.:50:43.

out. Tipping the scales at just over 20 stone, he will take some stopping

:50:44.:50:49.

from a couple of metres out! This is an opportunity for Edinburgh. Good

:50:50.:50:54.

pressure. Sometimes the momentum sinks a little bit. Scarlets feeling

:50:55.:51:00.

good about themselves. Edinburgh should really attack the scrum.

:51:01.:51:08.

Looking for a solid scrum, looking for Morgan Allen to make a

:51:09.:51:13.

difference. Concentration you, because Edinburgh have done well on

:51:14.:51:16.

occasions. Solid scrum from Scarlet 's. -- Scarlets.

:51:17.:51:39.

Probable you meant he was on top while he was on! -- probably meant.

:51:40.:51:52.

Straight in front of the posts. All of the years I have played rugby and

:51:53.:51:56.

watched rugby, the referee would give a scrum there, who the heck

:51:57.:52:00.

knows what is going on, only the tall ones, the six foot four

:52:01.:52:08.

forwards. You are right, given for collapsing, wasn't it. We have the

:52:09.:52:12.

benefit of a replay. Edinburgh do have a dominant scrum.

:52:13.:52:27.

It would not be the worst idea in the world to take another one. But

:52:28.:52:31.

because of the unknown outcome... This I did not do roll like that.

:52:32.:52:39.

Greig Tonks succeeds and slowly but surely, Edinburgh fighting their way

:52:40.:52:42.

back into this one, momentum is with them. Less than 15 minutes

:52:43.:52:49.

remaining. They need a firework, Scarlets, something to spark them,

:52:50.:52:54.

both team and ground have gone quiet, I would like to see this gets

:52:55.:53:01.

up, Scarlets forwards chasing. Edinburgh showing the urgency at the

:53:02.:53:06.

moment. Not Scarlets. All the time in the world to put this back. You

:53:07.:53:12.

certainly feel that Scarlets are looking to hang on. But there is so

:53:13.:53:19.

much time left. Thomas put the penalty over. Looking fairly

:53:20.:53:29.

comfortably. -- comfortable. Two of the four forwards on the bench have

:53:30.:53:38.

been used. Half-backs changed. They've is getting his hand on the

:53:39.:53:40.

ball. -- Davis. Van der Merwe. -- Pitman. Straight running... Going

:53:41.:54:18.

down field. Good kick swirling back. Take and

:54:19.:54:51.

give. Burley sends them back down field. Scholars will be happy to see

:54:52.:54:57.

that go dead. Alan Thomas very well played. Cool under pressure from

:54:58.:55:05.

Dougie Fife. He knew what he was doing, wanted to get out from under

:55:06.:55:09.

the dead ball, while the ball was still moving. That could be a game

:55:10.:55:16.

changers, lots of space... It has gone dead. Way back down side, five

:55:17.:55:22.

metres inside the other half, controlled here, very calm. He knew

:55:23.:55:26.

that somebody would be flying down...

:55:27.:55:39.

Edinburgh going through the bench. Justyn Warner placement they haven't

:55:40.:55:59.

used. Desperate for a victory. Looking to put the ball into the

:56:00.:56:10.

corner. The nearly Scarlet 's only lost one of their last eight league

:56:11.:56:15.

games... Against Ospreys, on Boxing Day.

:56:16.:56:23.

Try to keep a bit more space. Looking for somebody bit like Davis

:56:24.:56:33.

to take control. He has experience. Looking to wrap up the game. Then

:56:34.:56:35.

come right back into the game. With the scrums in the centre of

:56:36.:56:52.

midfield, both... Covering it... Could be a yellow card, or a severe

:56:53.:57:01.

warning. Certainly not happy with the way that Rhodri Jones is

:57:02.:57:09.

scrimmaging. Word is that he would like to be a loose end. Certainly

:57:10.:57:14.

having problems here this evening. Thompson near the 22. Not sure how

:57:15.:57:24.

Pete Edwards's engine was, ruing the decision to take him off, perhaps.

:57:25.:57:33.

Is a great prospect, Rhodri transforming him into a tight head

:57:34.:57:37.

prop. I am no expert, I cannot say, but apparently he would rather play

:57:38.:57:39.

at the loosehead. Dougie Fife has moved into the 13

:57:40.:57:59.

shirt. One or two changes. Good impact, last 20 minutes or so. Man

:58:00.:58:05.

of the match in the under 20s last weekend. That is a real let off for

:58:06.:58:17.

Llanelli Scarlets. Not done yet. Still has not cleared. Thomas had

:58:18.:58:27.

more time than he realised. As it is, Michael Collins is under immense

:58:28.:58:32.

pressure. Now, scrambling to get the ball away, from just a couple of

:58:33.:58:36.

metres from the try line. After kicking the ball from outside the

:58:37.:58:46.

22. As exit strategies go, not the best. Half charge down again. DTH

:58:47.:58:56.

van der Merwe. They are really making life difficult for

:58:57.:58:59.

themselves, Scarlets. Showing a lack of composure. Look at this, kick

:59:00.:59:06.

charged down... Look at how much time Thomas had, all the time in the

:59:07.:59:10.

world to turn around and put it safe, instead he puts his foot back

:59:11.:59:15.

into trouble. Severe lack of composure, shown by Scarlets. What a

:59:16.:59:19.

position here. Another good position. Putting your body on the

:59:20.:59:30.

line. Toolis Wins the line, alarm bells ringing. Cornell du Preez, he

:59:31.:59:41.

got the try a few minutes ago. Turner... He has been lively. After

:59:42.:59:48.

being ahead so long, they do not want to give it away in the final

:59:49.:59:51.

seven or eight minutes. Edinburgh are only one try a drift, as Turner

:59:52.:00:00.

has another go. Kennedy... Davies gets the tackle.

:00:01.:00:11.

Forwards looking to do it initially. A levy slip past. If they keep

:00:12.:00:24.

moving wide, there are men spare. That is Sam Beard.

:00:25.:00:31.

Massive pressure and over the top it goes and it is Alex Toolis who gets

:00:32.:00:41.

the try that puts Edinburgh back on level terms. The pressure proving

:00:42.:00:46.

too great in the end and two tries in quick succession for Edinburgh

:00:47.:00:50.

have drawn them level with a conversion to come. Edinburgh have

:00:51.:00:58.

stepped up the pace. Nine phases here, under control, understanding

:00:59.:01:02.

with the spaces. That is a wonderful pass from Cornel Dupre. Out of the

:01:03.:01:15.

back of the hand. They deserve this. They have shown enterprise. It is

:01:16.:01:18.

great to see a forward showing those skills. Taking two defenders out of

:01:19.:01:26.

the game. Edinburgh wanted it more than the Scarlets. What a vital

:01:27.:01:31.

conversion this is. No wonder there are some dejected faces on the

:01:32.:01:37.

Scarlets' bench. They have led the game for 73 minutes but now this

:01:38.:01:41.

kick could turn all that around in Edinburgh's favour. Not an easy one

:01:42.:01:49.

though. From the touchline. A level you strike and it curls inside the

:01:50.:01:53.

post. Greig Tonks puts Edinburgh ahead with just five and a half

:01:54.:02:01.

minutes remaining. What a kick under pressure. It looked as if it was

:02:02.:02:06.

going to stay outside but it just creeps inside the post. A wonderful

:02:07.:02:09.

effort. Dylan Evans and Ryan Elias on the

:02:10.:02:23.

field. The Scarlets need something special now in the final five

:02:24.:02:24.

minutes. Phil Steele is with Garan Evans. He

:02:25.:02:40.

is very busy at the moment. The two replacements who have just come on,

:02:41.:02:44.

one was an injury but one was for more energy. He said they need more

:02:45.:02:50.

energy in this final five minutes. Energy is the word. Energy and

:02:51.:02:57.

opportunity. One opportunity is what they need to try and get Aled Thomas

:02:58.:03:04.

within range. There is Aled Thomas to Hadleigh Parkes, now the skipper,

:03:05.:03:08.

and he really had to galvanise them in these final stages. King.

:03:09.:03:13.

Offside given. That is the three points. That has immediately given

:03:14.:03:26.

the Scarlets a lifeline. That was a big decision. The Scarlets will be

:03:27.:03:33.

glad of that. 16 white, he is saying. The hooker. It was Craig

:03:34.:03:40.

Evans from the assistant who called it. Usually, if there is one person

:03:41.:03:52.

offside, you stick out in the line. Look for him in the scrum cap. I

:03:53.:03:56.

think that is harsh, to be honest with you. Usually, if you are

:03:57.:04:06.

offside blatantly, you stick out. He is disappointed with that. The

:04:07.:04:14.

biggest kick of the season for the Scarlets so far. A pressure kick for

:04:15.:04:19.

Aled Thomas. He has succeeded with three so far. And that is the most

:04:20.:04:29.

important of the lot because it puts the Scarlets back ahead. Now they

:04:30.:04:33.

have got three minutes to hang onto one-point lead. We said earlier on

:04:34.:04:42.

how good a gold digger he was. Coming off the bench and slotting

:04:43.:04:46.

three, that was the important one, and Aled Thomas has done it again.

:04:47.:04:51.

He stroked it over. No news whatsoever. Good temperament shown

:04:52.:04:59.

by Alice Thomas. Temperament, technique, he had what he needed for

:05:00.:05:03.

the big kick. Morgan Allen leads the charge again.

:05:04.:05:18.

Laid-back by Rory Pitman. This time the clearance kick is good. It is up

:05:19.:05:35.

to halfway. Du Preez. Edinburgh have had a real sense of urgency in this

:05:36.:05:40.

final quarter. They have at the tempo and the stakes. They have got

:05:41.:05:46.

themselves ahead. The Scarlets smack back through Aled Thomas. Now with

:05:47.:05:51.

their defence needs to be as good as it was in the first half.

:05:52.:06:01.

Sam Beard had time on the ball. The Scarlets are with a want to be now,

:06:02.:06:10.

down in Edinburgh's half. Just a minute and a half to go. Edinburgh

:06:11.:06:15.

have got to attack from deep. Du Preez keeps the ball alive but Tonks

:06:16.:06:19.

is under pressure from Aled Davies. Du Preez. He has been very prominent

:06:20.:06:40.

in the latter stages, has the Port Elizabeth born Edinburgh number

:06:41.:06:45.

eight. And the Scarlets now within touching distance of a very, very

:06:46.:06:47.

important victory. But they have not given up yet,

:06:48.:07:07.

Edinburgh. Alan Bell leads the way. Still in their own half. Danger.

:07:08.:07:21.

Have they created in space? No. The Scarlets' cover defence is there.

:07:22.:07:28.

The game is almost over. Your choice for Man of the Match? Not many

:07:29.:07:36.

candidates. I like Du Preez for Edinburgh, Tom Brown for pace, but I

:07:37.:07:40.

will go for the Scarlets' Morgan Allen. He scored the try and carried

:07:41.:07:45.

the ball superbly this evening. Morgan Allen is Man of the Match. He

:07:46.:07:51.

got that try for the Scarlets in the sixth minute and that seems an awful

:07:52.:07:58.

long time ago now. But he has carried his share, carried almost

:07:59.:08:02.

100 metres this evening and deserves that Man of the Match as the Scala

:08:03.:08:07.

-- Scarlets looked to have done just enough for the victory. Three

:08:08.:08:14.

defeats in the last four in the league for the Scarlets. By the skin

:08:15.:08:21.

of their teeth, they looked to have done it. Just enough to get that

:08:22.:08:25.

all-important victory. They only need to get the ball off the park.

:08:26.:08:32.

Aled Davies is ready to do the second if he gets his hands to it

:08:33.:08:38.

and that is just what he does. And the Scarlets mighty close in the

:08:39.:08:43.

end. It looked comfortable at one stage. Edinburgh fought back but the

:08:44.:08:48.

Scarlets have done just enough to get a very important victory and

:08:49.:08:51.

keep them in the hunt for a top four place. It was very nervous stuff in

:08:52.:09:00.

the end. Edge of the seat stuff. Two tries from Edinburgh late on. That

:09:01.:09:07.

threatened to turn things around. A superb touchline conversion from

:09:08.:09:11.

Greig Tonks turned it their way but then Aled Thomas kept his nerve when

:09:12.:09:16.

he needed to and Hadleigh Parkes celebrating victory as the Scarlets

:09:17.:09:21.

skipper. A one-point victory but that one-point will be just enough

:09:22.:09:27.

to secure the 10th win in 14 games for the Scarlets. The sigh of relief

:09:28.:09:34.

from Aled Thomas. He held his nerve to put over the fourth penalty and

:09:35.:09:40.

the Scarlets have snuck home by the narrowest of margins thanks to the

:09:41.:09:48.

early try by Morgan Allen. He is the Man of the Match and after the 22-21

:09:49.:09:52.

victory for the Scarlets, Morgan Allen joins Phil Steele.

:09:53.:10:05.

Morgan, that was a game you have to win twice really. We went in at

:10:06.:10:12.

half-time in quite a comfortable position, we had 25 minutes in the

:10:13.:10:17.

second half, but the boys died in, showed some spirit, defended well

:10:18.:10:22.

and came back for the win. I think it was a lack of concentration.

:10:23.:10:27.

Something we will look at next week and put it right for Ulster away.

:10:28.:10:32.

You carried a hundred metres. It felt like more, to be fair. I was

:10:33.:10:38.

pretty tired. When you come back to win a game for the second time, what

:10:39.:10:43.

does that do for the confidence of a side, particularly in the run-in? It

:10:44.:10:47.

helps a massive amount because it shows the boys are willing to work

:10:48.:10:53.

for each other. Not just 60 minutes but for 80 minutes. Well done.

:10:54.:11:03.

It really was the proverbial game of two halves tonight. The Scarlets

:11:04.:11:10.

started very strongly. Morgan Allen going over for an early try have to

:11:11.:11:14.

just six minutes. They work of the bully in the lead at half-time by

:11:15.:11:20.

ten points and they look to be coasting at 19-6, but then a late

:11:21.:11:25.

flurry from Edinburgh. Two tries from Edinburgh. Du Preez the scorer

:11:26.:11:29.

of the first and the creator of the second for Toolis. But Aled Thomas

:11:30.:11:35.

with a last-gasp penalty. That is the final winning margin. Look how

:11:36.:11:42.

tight the top four is. One point separating for teams. Ulster and

:11:43.:11:49.

Connacht first and second on 45, Leinster and the Scarlets on 44. We

:11:50.:11:55.

had Morgan Allen say there was a bit of a lack of concentration from the

:11:56.:11:58.

Scarlets in the second half but Edinburgh played all the rugby in

:11:59.:12:03.

the last quarter. Credit to them. Both teams would have gone in at

:12:04.:12:06.

half-time and assess what had happened. The Scarlets would have

:12:07.:12:12.

known Edinburgh would be more aggressive defensively. They came

:12:13.:12:16.

out to defend a lead rather than come out to pull away. They

:12:17.:12:21.

definitely have the capability to score tries, it just felt like the

:12:22.:12:25.

second half, the team that came out was a completely different team. The

:12:26.:12:30.

coaches will go away and have a lot of things they will want to say

:12:31.:12:34.

about that second half. They played for five minutes in the second half.

:12:35.:12:40.

We can hear exactly what the coach is thinking right now because Wayne

:12:41.:12:44.

Pivac is with Phil. You only play for five minutes in the second half.

:12:45.:12:51.

Is that fair? It felt like that. I thought we had done enough at 19-6.

:12:52.:12:59.

We are happy to win, obviously, but there are too many games where we

:13:00.:13:03.

are winning in the last minute. Any reason? A couple of scrum penalties,

:13:04.:13:10.

that set us back and we lost a bit of momentum. But it was a bigger

:13:11.:13:15.

movement from the Connacht game so we will look at the positives and

:13:16.:13:19.

keep moving forward. The other things the boys in commentary said,

:13:20.:13:23.

bringing Peter Edwards off. What was that? They started to pick on him

:13:24.:13:31.

defensively and he was tiring. He put in a good shift but he was

:13:32.:13:38.

getting exposed. Fair comment. What were the positives? Coming back to

:13:39.:13:43.

win the game twice? In the first half in particular, in terms of

:13:44.:13:49.

turnovers, our line speed was a lot better and working for each other.

:13:50.:13:53.

They were sent good solid efforts there. We were in pretty good shape

:13:54.:14:00.

at 13-3. When you have come back from the dead to win again, what

:14:01.:14:05.

does that do for confidence? First and foremost it is important to get

:14:06.:14:09.

the win. It keeps us alive in the top four. I think a loss would have

:14:10.:14:15.

pushed this down to fifth or sixth. It is important to stay in the top

:14:16.:14:19.

group. We will take some confidence out of that and look forward to next

:14:20.:14:23.

week. Chris, if you had offered Edinburgh

:14:24.:14:28.

a losing bonus point before that game, chances are they would have

:14:29.:14:32.

taken it, but given the context of what happened, they will be

:14:33.:14:36.

devastated. I am not sure they would have taken it. They are very good

:14:37.:14:43.

defensively. I was really proud of how Edinburgh turned it around in

:14:44.:14:47.

the second half. They did not start the second half but Italy well. At

:14:48.:14:55.

that point, there was a decision to be made, either go and win the game

:14:56.:15:00.

or except what we were doing. There really was an increase in tempo. The

:15:01.:15:07.

tempo and attitude they brought at the end, scoring two late tries, if

:15:08.:15:13.

you let any side get a 19 point lead, you are going to claw that

:15:14.:15:18.

back. They were up against it at that point. Phil Davies has been

:15:19.:15:22.

looking more closely at what Edinburgh did to turn things around.

:15:23.:15:28.

They decided to play a bit of rugby, as Chris said, and it started for me

:15:29.:15:34.

with a bit of purpose. They are moving the ball from the middle of

:15:35.:15:38.

the field, a great bit of skill coming up out of the back door, a

:15:39.:15:43.

great ball to the winger Tom Brown. They go back to the middle, back to

:15:44.:15:48.

the right-hand side, good powerful running and a bit of a line break

:15:49.:15:51.

and they are going forward quite nicely. They just keep the pressure

:15:52.:15:54.

on, they go forward, hard, they keep the ball well and

:15:55.:16:04.

then they get a penalty try. It was a good start by Edinburgh. That was

:16:05.:16:08.

beautifully described, unfortunately we could not see the pictures but it

:16:09.:16:12.

was almost poetry so we understood what you were talking about. Tennis

:16:13.:16:19.

more about the mindset. Obviously the messages at half-time Sundin and

:16:20.:16:23.

they came out a team transformed. Hopefully we can see them this time,

:16:24.:16:27.

some of the line breaks they made. They were fantastic. They should be

:16:28.:16:34.

coming up now. They are attacking, they are off-loading, they are

:16:35.:16:39.

moving forward with the ball. They are keeping the pressure on the

:16:40.:16:42.

Scarlets and they score a couple of good tries. They got themselves back

:16:43.:16:52.

in the game. That was a great try. And the pressure is still coming on

:16:53.:16:58.

by the Edinburgh team. They score a nice try, they have got plenty of

:16:59.:17:07.

numbers. In the corner they go. They continued that through the second

:17:08.:17:14.

half. We were watching it from here and we talked at the top of the half

:17:15.:17:20.

about how strangely Edinburgh seemed lethargic -- the Scarlets seemed

:17:21.:17:24.

lethargic. They were happy to defend. But at the very end when

:17:25.:17:29.

they went down with that touchline conversion, they suddenly seemed

:17:30.:17:34.

like a team alive again. Why did it take them to go behind? Sometimes

:17:35.:17:39.

you need to gather behind the post, you can group together. You are in a

:17:40.:17:47.

difficult place. It must be so frustrating as a coach to see your

:17:48.:17:52.

team go behind on 75 minutes and yet, all of a sudden, see them come

:17:53.:17:57.

to life, get one opportunity in the half, and sneak the game. I think

:17:58.:18:02.

you can look at some good leadership from the Scarlets, the fact they got

:18:03.:18:07.

behind the posts and got together. But at this level, you expect a team

:18:08.:18:11.

to come out and not defend their lead. The capabilities they have,

:18:12.:18:16.

the conditions, they could have come out and played more rugby. And when

:18:17.:18:20.

they needed to, the frustrating thing is, they took the points. I

:18:21.:18:25.

think we can have a look at that now. It was the restart after the

:18:26.:18:31.

touchline conversion being scored. You can see from the intensity they

:18:32.:18:35.

mean business. The energy was different. They know they have

:18:36.:18:40.

something to do, they have a goal, a target. Everybody suddenly want the

:18:41.:18:46.

ball and nobody wants to defend, nobody wants to be passive. They

:18:47.:18:51.

want to get over the gain line. When you are that aggressive you can

:18:52.:18:58.

force penalties. I think Alan Solomons has spoken to Phil Steele

:18:59.:19:04.

in the post-match interview. I think there were a few bars at the referee

:19:05.:19:08.

and when Chris Paterson came back to the studio, that last penalty was a

:19:09.:19:14.

contentious one. Do you think Edinburgh are justified in feeling

:19:15.:19:19.

hard done by. He was not ahead of the line, really. There was a decent

:19:20.:19:27.

sector. Usually, if it is an obvious penalty, a multicoloured scrum cap,

:19:28.:19:31.

he would be way ahead. But you go back to being 19-6 down, these

:19:32.:19:42.

points can ultimately win the game. But don't allow a team such a big

:19:43.:19:48.

lead. But on the positive side, when the team is attacking, if there is a

:19:49.:19:53.

contentious decision, the referee is going to go with the intent to play

:19:54.:19:57.

and attack. The mindset of the Scarlets almost won them the

:19:58.:20:01.

penalty. We can hear now from Alan Solomons. Bad luck on the defeat but

:20:02.:20:06.

how proud were you of the second-half comeback? I thought in

:20:07.:20:10.

the second half we played tremendously. The last penalty, when

:20:11.:20:15.

I looked on the television, there was no offside. I think it is time

:20:16.:20:22.

in this competition we have three neutral officials. Can you elaborate

:20:23.:20:25.

on that. I don't think he was offside. That is disappointing

:20:26.:20:30.

because I thought we did enough in the second half to deserve to win

:20:31.:20:34.

the game. What did you put your comeback down? We made too many

:20:35.:20:40.

errors in the first half. All their points came through our errors and

:20:41.:20:43.

we missed one or two opportunities because of mistakes. In the second

:20:44.:20:49.

half we improve that, we got back into the game, and it is

:20:50.:20:52.

disappointing to lose like that. Will you make an approach to the

:20:53.:20:59.

referee or to the league? I will work through the referee manager.

:21:00.:21:06.

What about the rest of the season? You did get a losing bonus point.

:21:07.:21:12.

They all count at this stage. They do, but we are disappointed not to

:21:13.:21:17.

get the win. That game was ours and, I think, deservedly so. Thank you

:21:18.:21:22.

for your time. Where does this leave Edinburgh now? The Scarlets are

:21:23.:21:29.

still in the top four. Do Edinburgh still looked like a team that can

:21:30.:21:37.

challenge? I think so. Glasgow have two games in hand, the Scarlets one

:21:38.:21:42.

tonight and dropped a place in the league. That is how close it is. The

:21:43.:21:50.

Edinburgh office. The defence is so strong, they can set a foundation.

:21:51.:21:54.

With Duncan Hodge coming in as assistant coach as well, you can see

:21:55.:22:00.

a shift more to attacking lovely -- rugby. As the weather improves, the

:22:01.:22:06.

pitches dry up, we can see Michael Allen, Sam Beard, Tom Brown, causing

:22:07.:22:13.

problems. They are in a position to challenge the top four. Let's hear

:22:14.:22:18.

from Phil Bennett. You watched that one from the commentary point and it

:22:19.:22:21.

was tense at times and there was a point when we thought the Scarlets

:22:22.:22:25.

work is doubly in the league but they almost lost that game. They are

:22:26.:22:31.

still in the top four and with a third of the season left, on course

:22:32.:22:35.

for a play-off place. They battled hard. I don't think it was their

:22:36.:22:41.

finest performance. There was no enterprise at times, they panicked

:22:42.:22:45.

on occasions, but as long as you get the win, that is all that matters.

:22:46.:22:50.

Edinburgh were excellent in the second half, Tom Brown was good,

:22:51.:22:54.

Morgan Allen was outstanding for the Scarlets. But at the end of the day,

:22:55.:22:59.

they take the victory and they are still in the top four. We will talk

:23:00.:23:06.

in a little while about the big-game tomorrow but here is a quick

:23:07.:23:10.

reminder of how you can watch that and what other rugby is coming your

:23:11.:23:11.

way. Jonathan Davies slips the tackle and

:23:12.:23:30.

might be that right? Wales go again and Taulupe Faletau

:23:31.:23:31.

goes with it and scores! Big weekend ahead. Warren Gatland

:23:32.:24:02.

has been Wales coach since 2008 and in that time he has never lost to

:24:03.:24:07.

Scotland. As he told the press this week, he is taking nothing for

:24:08.:24:12.

granted. You can't rest on your role -- laurels in having that record and

:24:13.:24:15.

we would like to continue it for as long as we can. As a side, they

:24:16.:24:20.

don't look too far-away and I think one of the things you come in with a

:24:21.:24:27.

new team is that, and it looks like Vern Cotter has done this, you

:24:28.:24:32.

concentrate on playing rugby, you concentrate on being a test team to

:24:33.:24:36.

beat and they are at the moment. And then you get the bounce of the ball,

:24:37.:24:41.

a couple of decisions, a couple of lucky things and you start winning

:24:42.:24:44.

games. I don't think Scotland are too far away. There seems to be a

:24:45.:24:48.

lot of confidence coming out of their camp and there was a lot of

:24:49.:24:54.

confidence before last week's game. Even though they lost, I don't think

:24:55.:24:58.

that it would have dented their enthusiasm or confidence.

:24:59.:25:04.

Chris, there has been a lot of positivity and optimism surrounding

:25:05.:25:08.

Scottish lovely -- rugby, coming within a whisker of a semifinal at

:25:09.:25:12.

the World Cup. But their Six Nations record, they have now lost eight in

:25:13.:25:21.

a row. Where are Scotland at? I think in Scotland we are guilty, as

:25:22.:25:27.

is everyone, of being way of their way down there. I think we are

:25:28.:25:31.

somewhere in between. We have got a great coaching staff, a good set of

:25:32.:25:35.

individuals, but at the World Cup, it was close but we were four

:25:36.:25:40.

minutes away from being beaten by Samoa in the group stages. Whereas,

:25:41.:25:46.

last week, we were not as bad as some people are making out. We have

:25:47.:25:51.

got good players, good individuals, but we need to be more consistent. I

:25:52.:25:55.

would like to see us change the way we play a little bit more and open

:25:56.:26:02.

up. At the moment we have lost the first game ten years in a row in the

:26:03.:26:06.

Six Nations. We have not won in Cardiff since 2002. It is great to

:26:07.:26:12.

hear Greig Laidlaw to say they have got a few things about this leave.

:26:13.:26:16.

Hopefully they will quicken the temple. But Wales are such a

:26:17.:26:20.

physical team, it is going to be such a big ask. Even though we have

:26:21.:26:25.

had talk of playing a more expansive game and looking to go wide,

:26:26.:26:29.

presumably they will know against Scotland, power is probably the

:26:30.:26:35.

route to success. We are a really powerful side, we are successful

:26:36.:26:38.

side and I believe we are skilful side. It is just at the moment what

:26:39.:26:43.

is good for us and what would for us is the power game. I believe

:26:44.:26:48.

Scotland will have to come and bring something different because they

:26:49.:26:52.

want out power is. It takes two teams to play rugby and I think if

:26:53.:26:56.

the Scotland team come with an understanding to try and play

:26:57.:27:00.

outside 13 or play wide and expansive, Wales can also do that

:27:01.:27:04.

and I think if they come with it, Wales will match them and I think we

:27:05.:27:10.

will see the best of Wales. The attacking ability. A quiz question

:27:11.:27:14.

for you, the last time Scotland beat Wales was 2007. Who scored all their

:27:15.:27:23.

points that day? You tell me. It was Chris Paterson. You are too modest.

:27:24.:27:27.

It must bring back all kinds of fond memories. Your 100th cap. It was

:27:28.:27:38.

such an incredible day. The game was set up, Shane Williams' last-minute

:27:39.:27:43.

try in overtime to win it. We led from start to finish, almost. It was

:27:44.:27:52.

my 100th cap. I love playing in Cardiff. But I ended up in Accident

:27:53.:27:59.

and Emergency with a fairly bad injury and I have never watched the

:28:00.:28:03.

game back. It is too painful. I have heard all the stories. There have

:28:04.:28:09.

been some great Wales against Scotland clashes because Scotland

:28:10.:28:13.

are skilful team. They have a great skill set and I think Wales buy into

:28:14.:28:19.

that as well. Predictions? I thought Wales would win the championship.

:28:20.:28:24.

They were my tip last week. I still think they will do that because of

:28:25.:28:29.

the physicality. I was at Twickenham for the World Cup quarterfinal

:28:30.:28:32.

between South Africa and Wales and I have never seen any team deal with

:28:33.:28:36.

the South African's physicality like that. Scotland will need some of

:28:37.:28:46.

that tomorrow. One word. Wales. As the boys have said, there have been

:28:47.:28:51.

some ethics between these two teams and perhaps none more so than the

:28:52.:28:55.

2010 game. It was the day Chris Paterson won his 100th cap but it

:28:56.:29:01.

ended in defeat for the Scots. It was an enormously dramatic

:29:02.:29:04.

encounter. Shane Williams went over in the 82nd minute. Look away now

:29:05.:29:11.

Chris. If tomorrow's game is anyway as near as good as this, it will be

:29:12.:29:13.

an absolute belter. They have got to go wide. Leigh

:29:14.:29:27.

Halfpenny with the chase. Leigh Halfpenny! Five metres short. It is

:29:28.:29:36.

there to be claimed by Wales. They have just got to keep their

:29:37.:29:42.

composure now. Taken on by Alun Wyn Jones. They are lining up outside.

:29:43.:29:49.

Bradley Davies infield. Shane Williams! And Shane Williams has won

:29:50.:30:00.

the most dramatic game in this Six Nations, perhaps in any Six Nations.

:30:01.:30:02.

What I'm raising my game

:30:03.:30:43.

and I WILL come out on top. Bring it on. Bring it on.

:30:44.:30:53.

Bring it on. This time, we're aiming higher

:30:54.:31:00.

than ever before.

:31:01.:31:05.
