Dragons v Glasgow Scrum V

he's been playing well for Glasgow for some time now. He's got the like

of Hoggs. He's in great form. He's got the pace to get the try line. He

holds his own when he has to. He goes looking for work, he's

dangerous and hungry. One of a number of dangerous and hungry

players. They like to throw the ball around, Glasgow. The Dragons have

expressed a willings on the do the same. Have you been surprised by

what you have seen? I have watched the Dragons closely and particularly

the Zebre and Munster game. We have seen glimpse but they are not

accurate enough. We need to see more against Glasgow. Need three or four

tries to beat this team. The Dragons have it in them. A win could close

that gap in the table. And they could, and ten changes Ceri Jones

has made. He mentioned in the week it is nice to have the luxury to

have the depth to do that. What does it do in terms of continuity and

combinations? Sometimes you need continuity and consistency. He's got

the luxury. He has the players to make the changes. If they are not

winning at the moment, perhaps a gamble will pay off for them. Who

knows. The weather has improved here in Newport. Two teams looking to

play an expansive game. Let's find our pitch-side reporter. You will

recognise her from rugby. Helen is with the captain.

Not as good looking as Phil Steel. I do apologise. Quite a few changes.

Glasgow with three players out of position. But, Martin, two players

that keep their place after last week, the battle of the big locks.

It is the difference between two teams winning and Johnnie Grey,

Glasgow have got one of the best in the UK at the moment. If you look at

tiz stats he's second in ball carrying. Second in tackling. He's

key to them. He's a fantastic player. Opposite him the dragon's

captain. Fantastic in open spaces. He's got to do the nitty-gritty if

Dragons stand a chance against Glasgow. Both sides have struggled

with the set piece. A nice night, but the pitch is very soggy. I think

you will see a lot of scrums. A few lineouts. It's been an achilli's

heels for the Dragons for some time. So, again, against the Glasgow team,

who keep the ball very, very well, they need to be very strong in this

set piece. Martin, look, I know you have to go off to commentary. I hope

you have your skates on. Gareth Charles is waiting for you.

Thank you and I will ask you the same question I asked Shane just

then. Ten changes. I think you made nine the week before, so rotating

the squad at the moment and Shane made the point perhaps when you are

losing it is not the thing do. I agree with Shane. For me rotation is

excellent. For me, it is when you are winning, when you are not

winning you have to pick your best 15. For me, tonight, I would have

liked to have seen a few other players in this team. There is depth

to the squad. They've got a lot of quality in the team. They could have

done with one or two signings preseason. They have not had it.

They have to work with what they have got now and hopefully they can

put on a show tonight. Could tonight be the Dragons' night. Let's find

out in the commentary of Gareth Williams and Gareth Charles.

In an all changed front row, Corey Flynn made his first start for

Glasgow. Finn Russell continues at 10. Paul

Merson at full-back. A good centre combination and we have heard about

Glasgow, champions. Two years ago. They finished in the top four. In

each of the last five seasons, so sixth place for them at the moment

will be a disappointment for Gregor Townsend. Especially after starting

with two wins. But then two defeats at The Blues.

And at home to Ulster. That's the record they are trying to change.

The Dragons, after getting their first win of the season against the

Zebre, they too had defeat at homes to Manchester. Think feel they

should have won and maybe then disappointment out in Treviso last

week, where they ended up losing by 27-11.

They will want plenty of the fireworks within the team tonight.

Ceri Jones has changed two--thirds of the team.

Andrew Brace, of Ireland, the man in charge this evening.

Conditions are damp underfoot. But otherwise they are perfect. A funny

old day, sunshine, showers, some of them torrential. It will be a greasy

ball they have to deal with and with two teams that want to play a bit of

rugby, we will see how it pans out. Finn Russell, his second game of the

season. Sends down to Pat Howard, the South African winger. He joined

from Southampton in the summer. Pretorius... Macleod ships it on.

A chance for the counter immediately.

Rob Harley... Fraser Brown, the openside is a

hooker. So, we will see how he copes there.

Corey Flynn, who played openside last week on the blindside for

Glasgow, who drive on, over the ten-metre line and there is the

skipper or the cocaptain, actually. Because Jonny Gray and Henry Pyrgos

both co--captains. Plenty of support there.

Russell looking for the flat ball. A chance... Looks for the wide open

spaces down in the Glasgow 22. Peter Murchie is back there. The Glasgow

full-back doesn't put it safe. Carl Meyer goes running straight

back at the opponents. A nicely weighted kick. Quickly

taken. I didn't think I would get a word in

all match. Fair play to the team keeping it on the park. Something

you will see, Glasgow without doubt, the best in the league keeping the

ball. One thing for the Dragons which has gone well is their tackle

success. They are very good defensively. They don't miss many

tackles. Everyone talks about Glasgow being a team which can throw

the ball around. They have the physicality before that do that and

they can keep the ball very well. Make sure the Dragons keep an eye on

defence. Cudd tidies up. A flat ball to Jack

Dixon. A presence in mid-field. A nice line picked up by Thomas.

Meyer on the outside, tall and strong. Seymour with a tackle.

Nick Macleod is in there at scrum-half a couple of times.

Dixon... A lot strung together by both teams in the opening stages.

Amos comes across looking to work. Advantage favouring the Dragons at

the moment. Pretorius, Macleod... Not where he

wanted it. It was a kick to nothing because advantage is still being

played. Those kind of kicks they will have to be weary of going in

the direction of Tommy Seymour. Macleod knew it was coming then. You

mention Jack Dixon there, a big presence in mid-field, they are a

big back line the Dragons. We watched them getting warmed up. It

is a big back line. They will cause you problems with their physicality.

Can they win the set piece ball? They have been very poor in the

line-up so far. The scrum has struggled. A big area for them

tonight. It is the exact start that the drag

gons would want. Nullified what Glasgow brought the first three or

four minutes and they have got the first opportunity to get the points

on the board. Penalty against Ulster. Two against

the Zebre, is what Nick Macleod has notched up for his new club.

Has he brought it across enough? No. It stays outside that right-hand

side upright. He'll be disappointed because he's certainly at the

distance. They have done everything right. A good defensive set early

on. Kept the ball. When you are struggling like the Dragons, a kick

like that that goes over, it gives you the confidence you need. He will

be disappointed with that, Nick Macleod. Confidence is a big thing.

We saw with the Scarlets three relatively easy kicks missed early

on and you could see the nerving jangling.

A knock-on advantage, which is now over, as Nic Cudd waits, with a low

tackle. Dixon... Nicely floated past to

Howard, back inside to Lewis Evans. Evans looking for the inside ball.

But it only fell to Henry Pyrgos and Peter Murchie completes the

defensive work. You can see that the Dragons are trying to move Glasgow

around the field. Instead of short flat passes they are going down the

back there. They are tying in the Glasgow defence. They do what kinsly

said. They got close to the touchline and it was a turnover. A

good offload with the tackle as well.

Lewis Evans, he knew it would be forced over the touchline. And there

is the Dragons' skipper winning the line. Dixon, again the ball carrier.

Corey Flynn put up a tough night this evening. Already feeling the

effects of trying to tackle Jack Dixon there. He's hurt his right

shoulder has Finn Russell. He could have another tackle coming up now.

That's Sam Beard, formally of Edinburgh.

Cudd with the carry on. Pretorius to Landman. Slips out of his grip.

A lot of ground to cover and he couldn't take it on the run.

Pressure is really on Hallam Amos now. Seymour is over him and was

there long enough to win the penalty and there they go with a quick tap

and go. Mark Bennett has set it up with a chip into first place.

Check back inside from Fraser Brown, right up to the try line.

Dragons slow it down. It is a penalty anyway to Glasgow.

Great work by Mark Bennett, almost led to the first try. The Dragons

can not afford to do that. He's lost it in contact.

Puafisi was straight on the ball. Bennett is fresh, fit from the

Olympics, a silver medallist. A lot of people would have put a long kick

in there. It was a perfectly weighed kick. Hallam Amos did well to

recover the situation. Here he is. Landman and this is what Glasgow

love to play off. They have so many attacking threats. He sees the line

is up. Perfect kick. Watch Amos. He plays it well. Comes back. Glasgow

get a penalty from this and he's off again Mark Bennett. He is asking

me... He came in too quickly. No chances of picking that up. If he

had fancied a hack over the top. Put your foot on it, that is the easiest

thing. It is reamly greasy out there. You will not pick up one of

those balls at full speed tonight. So... Finn Russell... Slots over the

first penalty of the evening. The first meaningful attack for Glasgow.

Gets them three pointeds. Here he goes. Could have taken the

penalty straight away. That is how Glasgow play. Average four tries a

game, so far this season. And Dragons can't switch offer and

whether it is a penalty, a free kick. Really need to switch on.

Glasgow, the only team who picked up a bonus point every game so far.

Josh Strauss... Good yardage from the number eight.

Macleod... Worked out for Jack Dixon. A lovely ball out of the back

door to Howard. Cudd arrives. The ball is there, very tempting for

Josh Strauss. Beard makes the most of it. Good hands by Nick Crosswell.

Across comes Murchie. Happy to see that out of play. Great intent by

the Dragons. A couple of poor attempts of catches, anyway. They

are doing what they want to do. Ceri Jones said they can play with tempo.

They are trying it at the moment, OK, it is not quite coming off. You

can see the intent. Should he have kept it from this far away here,

maybe could have put it through the hands there. Put pressure on

Glasgow. Maybe lost a little bit of

confidence, Nick Macleod the last two passes he threw were not the

best. A free ball for Nic Cudd. A good angle by Macleod. Finn Russell

comes across to cover it. It is there for the Dragons with Matthew

Screech leading the way. Cudd again involved.

Pretorius. A change of direction from Sam Beard.

They need to be patient here, the Dragons, don't panic, control.

Glasgow not committing too many. Cudd thought he could spop the

little gap through the middle then. Repelled by Rob Harley.

There's only one man on the left. There's only one way they can go.

Macleod tries to ghost his way over Landman. Got a try last week looking

for another. Pretorius... Now they are queueing up there, the Dragons.

Sam Hobbs, very, very close. Pretorius... Oh, they got in each

other's way and they knocked it on and there was a try begging there

for the Dragons. Just a little bit panicky when they needed to keep

their calm. Meyer hauled down by Dunbar. And the game has been played

quite a lick in these opening stages. Macleod... But it is going

to be very, very difficult. And Russell quite happy to bang it down

field. There is the dang their the Dragons

will play... If they play too much offloads those tha is when mistakes

will happen. It was on the left there, they were screaming on the

left. A little bit of patience, or perhaps taking your time here.

It is five metres out, you don't panic. They lost their shape a

little bit. Crosswell and Pretorius get a little bit of confusion. Like

Shane said, they had numbers on the left-hand side then. Nick Crosswell

knew there were men there, he was not expecting the ball. You cannot

pass the ball through him though, that's the thing.

Corey Flynn is going to need a stitch or two. Pat MacArthur, a

Scottish international replaces the former All Black. 15 caps for New

Zealand, Corey Flynn. He's from a beautiful place. The

next stop, South Pole! Good hands, Jonny Gray. And Bennett.

Sharp, isn't he, Bennett? Three, four steps really quick. A dynamic

player. He's got the pace. He's got great feet on him. He makes things

happen. Very dangerous. A cross kick. The ball bounced into the

grass for Tommy Seymour. He will be disappointed that he's not got his

eighth of the season. As you can see, doesn't always come off. It is

the right call. Seymour's call and unfortunately it actually does

bounce into his hands, but he doesn't expect it to and it is a

knock-on. Knows he cannot get a ball to take the man. Finn Russell puts

the kicks on a button for Tommy Seymour and Shane said he's been on

fire this year. First scrum. This will be

interesting. It is really greasy under foot. The odds are it will go

down, collapse, the first one. They have struggled the Dragons and

Glasgow did against Ulster last week. This is an awful place to have

a scrum. I remember when we used to play we would be stuck there for 20

minutes. I used to get cold. It was horrible.

Sam Hobbs joined the Dragons after eight years in The Blues. Alongside

another former blue, Brok Harris. Pat MacArthur and the tan gone

Puafisi. I will go and get a coffee, I think!

A bit of deja vu! You are going for a coffee and

Martin's enjoying the intry casies of the scrum going down. I don't

know about that! That is where you lose me here. Given the benefit of

the doubt, the first hit of the night. Have to get ready. So long as

this doesn't happen for the rest of the game, Brace will get hold of

this pretty soon. A nice solid scrum from the Dragons.

Lewis Evans to Jack Dixon. And in turn, the kick. Not out

though. Seymour... Pyrgos spotted that gap down the

blindside. Landman... Offside. Here we go. Here we go. Nick Crosswell

with the charge and the throw afterwards.

You could see that coming a mile off. Pyrgos was holding it.

Crosswell couldn't help himself and flies into Pyrgos.

Six, who is six? Just timing. I am giving you the benefit of the doubt

T original penalty is here. The rock is formed. Just a little word.

Crosswell, he needs to get his timing right.

There he goes. Got to be careful when you lift the legs there. It's

not the timing of the tackle. You have to be careful when you pick

somebody's legs up these days. There was not exactly a duty of care

there. Here comes the Glasgow drive He got

the timings wrong. Gray had kept hold of that ball and not

transferred it backwards it would not have been an obstruction. It was

the fact the referee said it was obstruction. From here it is very

difficult to see. Clever defence from the Dragons.

Glasgow going going for the corner there. We know that teams who can

score tries and for the Dragons they know that as well. They will go for

tries tonight. Again good work from the base by

Lewis Evans. Again helped out by Jack Dixon.

That's very good. Very good clearance work from the Dragons. And

the Dragons have got a lot of options behind. Meyer has got his

right foot. Amos right foot as well. It seems to be working at the

moment. Committing the Glasgow defence. They clear it nicely.

A short lineout. Normally means a drive when you have got a forward.

All of you step on the lines, Dragons.

Normally go and feed one of the carriers in mid-field.

Trying to bring in the blindside winger, Rory Hughes. A nice side

foot from Nick Macleod. I showed you, Martin, a hell of a

pass. Left-hand pass as well. Took my hat off to him. Over complicated

it a little bit and then panicked. And Nick Macleod is deep with the

ball. So, a good line speed and just to put Finn Russell under pressure.

He does that well. A big lad as well. Makes his presence felt. As

long as he's there, being a nuisance... Back comes Corey Flynn

into the lineout and finds Jonny Gray. The Dragons standoff again.

Didn't manage to sack Flynn back in there. If they don't transfer it, it

is very difficult to stop it now. Will have to use it next time and

Pyrgos ready. Room on the blindside, where he

wanteded it. Tries to manifesto a kick.

-- manufacture a kick. Pressure by the Dragons. Clever defensive work.

They didn't get much joy by standing off, but managed to regroup and stop

it. Good pressure, I think it was Pretorius who blocked Pyrgos's

box-kick. Good attacking opportunity. 20

minutes in. It is tight. Only 3-0. Need to give them a boost where

there is a penalty. Something on the board.

Not straight. That's a killer. If you have a

camera of King, but that absolutely -- of Kingsley. You get down 30

minutes down. The backs are licking their lips. It is not straight, it

is a scrum. So disappointing from the Dragons.

An opportunity lost, certainly. But I think with the endeavour so far

they have not got much out of the game, the Dragons. That is the

danger. You offload, get off the gain line and work hard past the

gain line, and you don't get anything on the board. Sometimes you

can wear yourself out before half time and you hope that doesn't

happen with the Dragons at the moment.

Russell to Murchie. Straight out to Rory Hughes. Sam Beard was there to

intercept. Knock-on came from the former

Edinburgh centre. Simple move, steady scrum. They have gained 40-50

metres. They have made the middle yardage. They could have make it

with a kick. It shows the intent Glasgow have. They are a team that

scores lots of points. They score a lot of tries. Concede a few as well.

The endeavour is there. The Dragons will have to keep an eye on that.

Gregor Townsend has done a brilliant job.

Good battle in the scrum, both sides staying up as well. Dunbar. In

between the two wide men. Strong as well as quick. He would make that

extra yard, whether it is a spin or a step, we have not seen much of him

yet. Nice little off-load from Russell to Strauss, Glasgow going

forward. Brown. Trying to keep him on his feet, calling for the ball,

gone forward anyway, illegally. Could not help himself. He is a good

carrier, Brown, trying to hold him up to create the ball and as it went

to ground, he has felt the ball on his hand and could not help flicking

it back, good decision from Andrew Brace. It is a cheap one in this

position. It is so tempting, when you feel the ball in your hand, you

cannot help yourself, you have to be more disciplined, then Russell puts

this over, he is being clinical, trying to hold him up. Landman

stripped the ball as he went to ground. The Dragons were defending

well, that is a shame. The Dragons do not seem to mind giving up a bit

of advantage in the line and defending afterwards and making it

difficult for Glasgow. It is two from two for Finn Russell

and Glasgow extend their lead to 6-0, 15 minutes of the first half

remaining, the captain is with our reporter. The boys have nothing to

show for it yet. I am really disappointed. We have been the

better do some -- side in every department. We have been in the A

zone, we have let them off the hook again and we have given them six

points but the boys have been fantastic, our scrum is a fantastic

improvement, lots of positive things, unfortunately the scoreboard

does not show that. Improvement from last week? There are things that we

work on. We have dropped balls, but in terms of what we practice, this

is much better. I feel for the lads, they work so hard. We made critical

errors at the wrong time. Let us hope we get to half-time and

hopefully get a score before and get back on the scoreboard. We will

catch up with you in the second half. Thank you. Thank you. Trying

to get out of their own half at the moment and trying to do it by

keeping the ball in hand. Dixon was held and did not release

in time. I think it was Corey Flynn, over the ball, in a good position.

Good defence from Glasgow, they are like a brick wall, the Dragons are

not winning the gain line. Given the fact that the Dragons have had over

60% possession, 51 penalties shows great discipline. Landman gave away

a soft one. As for the top teams coming here go, good tackle, Fraser

Brown, Corey Flynn in a great body position. They are doing it very

well, they know when to go into the rock and attempt to get the ball

back and they know when to fan out and they are frustrating the

Dragons, they are trying to off-load when they do not need to and they

are making mistakes and giving the ball back to Glasgow. It is easy for

Glasgow. Does not prevent the drive. Corey Flynn in charge, Henry pier

glass waiting his opportunity. There is Seymour alongside Finn Russell.

Corey Flynn ploughs over and that is a perfectly worked line-out drive

from Glasgow, despite the initial efforts by the Dragons to stand off.

They kept their shape and composure and Corey Flynn gets the first try

for Glasgow. We mentioned earlier, the Dragons stood off once and it

worked, in the Glasgow 22, it nearly worked. Once you have done it once,

they know what is coming. Rob Harley took the ball at the front, held

onto it and once the Dragons came in, it was too late, the boys in the

front doing all the hard work and Corey Flynn with all his experience

had an armchair ride at the back. You're asking for trouble. Glasgow

know what is coming. Well, rather than get the score

before half-time, as Kingsley Jones was hoping, they have conceded a

score. Russell adds the extras and Glasgow

just short of the half hour looking comfortable on 13-0. It was a

killer, they have given everything, the Dragons have thrown everything

at Glasgow but have not scored a point and when you're 13-0 down on

the back of a few defeats, this is the last thing they wanted after 30

minutes. You're playing against a team that are ruthless. They have

scored a lot of points, three times more than the Dragons already. They

know how to finish teams. All the endeavour and hard work has not

really given them anything. Glasgow need to push forward. Rob Harley was

looking for that tempo with a good throw. Rob Harley there, the ball

has gone dead, but Glasgow are alert all the time, they want to keep

playing. That is confidence as well, that is a big thing, when you are

comfortable in your systems. This is when they are dangerous, the Dragons

have really put in an effort for 30 minutes and got nothing out of it.

Glasgow have not had to work as hard and they are 13 points up. We all

know that they can score points. It is all emanating from a stolen

line-out ball for the Dragons. When things are not going your way, it

was a fantastic still, it was Matthew Screech. Bobble on the floor

and they have won the penalty. Corey Flynn again, when things are going

against you, nothing seems to go your way and that is a brilliant

kick. He has gone dead. That shows the intent. Shows the confidence,

went right for the corner hoping for another and drive, fortunately for

the Dragons it went too far, but it shows the intent that Glasgow have.

They can smell blood. Here we go. Taps it back. They scramble well.

Reacting, they lose the ball, Fraser Brown, here's a great player, a

strong player, good carrier. I was wondering how the hooker would go,

they moved him from openside to hooker. I bet he was delighted and

he is loving life tonight back on the side of the scrum. No wonder he

is playing so well! He does not want to go back in there. That is an

incentive. Crosswell, the Dragons desperately

need some points at half-time. Evans. Beard. Out to Hallam Amos.

Now there will be a warning. He said, no arms, didn't he? Clearly no

arm tackle, yellow card. Second no arm tackle. Off you go. What? That

was the reaction from Fraser Brown. He has completely jinxed the poor

fellow. It is not the first one no arms, he was clear. It must have

been mid field when they went back. I think that is a bit harsh. Lewis

Evans has gone low. He is trying to get his right arm there. Andrew

Brace was this side of the tackle and probably could not get a good

view. Nick Macleod, secure web that one

and that is just what the Dragons needed, the crowd at last have

something to cheer, the Dragons have their first point of the evening. If

the next score was Glasgow, it could have been game over but that gives

the Dragons something to take in at half-time. Six minutes left. We

heard from the Dragons head coach, what about Gregor Townsend? I think

you have had a few minutes to look at the yellow card, what is your

reaction? Surprised. It looked like Fraser was the term being --

attempting to tackle, it is just the nature of the card, he mistimed it.

Maybe because there was one earlier, but we are disappointed that we have

had a man yellow carded, we will make sure we defended well and get

our structures lined up. It looks comfortable at the moment, but not

perhaps reflecting what is on the pitch? I think we have had success

with our defence, created a few turnovers. We had a really good

opportunity to score a try, not too flat, good to see a try from a

driven line-out. Good to see them aggressive with a man down. Thank

you for your time. You see the kick-off here, this is

where the Dragons do not help themselves, it is too far. Could

have taken that, foot in touch, from this, the Dragons give a penalty

away, small little errors like that, killing the Dragons. Again, over the

ball, penalty. At the breakdown. Again it is the Dragons who have put

themselves in this position, they could have the comfort of a scrum

and the ball perfect lead to an end by Finn Russell, Nick Macleod's

penalty immediately cancelled out. Small things make such a big

difference in this game. He took the ball, his foot was in touch,

attacking opportunity for the Dragons, playing out of their own

22, the Dragons penalty was cancelled out straightaway.

We saw Murchie. A mast dumped on halfway. -- Hallam Amos. Dixon.

Murchie has time to gather and clear and push the Dragons back towards

halfway, MacLeod takes it quickly. Hallam Amos seeing if he can get

something from broken play. Nobody outside Sam Beard so he had to fear

back inside. Crosswell to Landman and back to

Crosswell. Screech sets it up. Macleod to

Harris once again, Hallam Amos goes for the battle, he needed to link

outside and Murchie had just enough of him to halt his progress. Harris.

Macleod to card. Howard. There is plenty of intent there for the

Dragons, what they need now is the composure and the accuracy to finish

it off Pretorius to MacLeod again, fronted by Jonny Gray and the rest

of the Glasgow defenders. Sam Beard has to pick up and nasty bouncing

ball. The Dragons have lost momentum, they need to get back on

the front foot. It is all very narrow at the moment, attacking

wise, Landman, now Karl Mayor has found his way back and it is turned

over time, here come Glasgow, Russell is quite happy to buying it

down field and see off the end of the first half. The build-up play is

great from the Dragons, Hallam Amos looking dangerous. Nice little

block, Hallam Amos is on the outside, great carry, strong, just

before that, you look up, they have kept the ball but they have lost

that gain line, came back, spilled the contact again and it is easy for

Glasgow. The next time it is a free kick, on

your way out. Lewis got in on the throw for

Glasgow, Russell board about a long-range drop goal. Dunbar. Jonny

Gray working hard. Final play of the first half coming up. It is another

penalty and they can really ill afford to give away those kicks.

They have trapped Cudd Imer. Did not expect that. Led by Mark Bennett.

Gray. And this is 14 man Glasgow, remember, who are doing the

attacking at the end of the first half. Strauss. Pyrgos weights.

Russell, Dunbar, good hit by Lewis Evans, the Dragons need to keep him

out here. Seymour lurking, ready. Russell. Fires it out to Rory

Hughes. Checks back inside. The ball spills out into the hands of the

Dragons and they should survive the first half. Need to get it off the

part. That is exactly what they do. And late surge from Glasgow did not

amount to anything, a lot of endeavour from the Dragons in the

first half, but precious little to show for it. Just the one try scored

by Corey Flynn and the boot of Russell taking every single

opportunity to add to that try and there is a lot of work for the

Dragons to do with the second half, because at half-time they trailed by

16-3, let us hear from Lewis Evans. They had to defend for about five

minutes, how frustrating is that scoreline after about 25 minutes at

the start? It is errors. We are causing the ball up a little bit too

easy. Quite a bit to do to get back in the game? It is always hard

defending. We just need to keep hold of the ball and keep pressure on the

opposition. I think we will get our rewards, we have earned a few

penalties. We will talk to you later. Thank you very much. Both

these teams came into this match without a win in the previous two

rounds, both desperate for a victory and Glasgow got on the scoreboard

first through Russell. A couple of chances for the Dragons but they did

not take advantage and it was Corey Flynn, crossing for the only try of

the games so far. Fraser Brown saw a yellow card, Nick Macleod got the

Dragons off the ground, but then Russell did exactly the same down at

the other end. 16-3 is the half-time score to the Glasgow Warriors,

perhaps a little out of sync with the pattern of play, look at the

possession, the Dragons had 64% of possession. It is rare to get that

much and be 13 points down on the scoreboard. Discipline is something

we talked about during the first half, they are conceding far too

many penalties, eight penalties to two. It is a disciplined performance

from Glasgow, operating with 36 point possession. They are very

comfortable in defence. They spread the field with defensive plays when

they have to and when they can staff an opportunity to turn the ball,

they attacked the breakdown and make it difficult for the Dragons. That

is one of the reasons they are doing so well and when they get the ball

they look so dangerous, they are so comfortable with the ball in hand,

but almost as comfortable without the ball. Glasgow can absorb

pressure for up to 20 minutes and when they get one chance, they take

it. Exactly. They have show that. Lost possession, Glasgow down the

field, to get penalty, won another penalty, three points. It have to be

clinical, look after the ball and unfortunately the Dragons have not

done that. The irony is, and Kingsley reference it, the Dragons

have plenty to be positive about, but they have not managed to get

over the try line. They are showing an intent to attack that we talked

about. There were opportunities to play and they were trying to take

them. If we look at this, we are looking at the players playing at

the back, perfect opportunity, Nick Macleod came across, Dixon, it gave

him time to make a decision, on the outside of Glasgow, this is where

the Dragons are potent, they have dangerous wingers, they need to get

the ball more often. Lewis Evans stepping up, first receiver, instead

of carrying through the forwards, puts the ball back, give them time

again to make the decision, they can either run or kick it, they have

time. What that does is create two line of attacks and gives them that

extra time and space to make a decision. Fantastic option to have,

it holds the defence, if they throw a flat pass, they are over the gain

line and they have passed and do something with it. When it is behind

and you give space to the likes of Hallam Amos, who can get on the

outside, they can create havoc and they have done it a couple of times

and they look comfortable doing it. When they have got into some good

positions, they have turned the ball over and made it difficult for

themselves. The Dragons defence has been impressive, not only in terms

of disrupting Glasgow on their own ball but the line speed in defence.

It is disappointing they have given away so many penalties because they

are comfortable. They have a strong line defence, Glasgow have not

troubled them too much, Jack Dixon makes a great decision. Put a lovely

hit in here. They have pressure on them, Glasgow panic, put the ball in

the air and there is an opportunity for the Dragons to put the pressure

back on. Here we see Glasgow, not only have they got to attack the

Dragons, matching them with defence, people are working hard, causing

problems, Glasgow attack hard here. They want to maintain possession.

You look at those clips and the way they are defending and the way they

are attacking, why do they find themselves 16-3 down? Mistakes,

discipline and probably confidence. The Dragons have proven in the past

that they can play rugby and get into great positions but

unfortunately handling error, lack of patience, when they were under

the post, it is a vicious circle, you can get frustrated, you are

fighting, trying to get a win, little knock-on and Glasgow kick it

60 metres down the pitch and they make it difficult for you again. It

is almost trying too hard but they have shown intent but they have not

had points on the board. It is easy for confidence to drain away. When

Glasgow do get a chance, they generally take it. It is

irresistible. We were speaking to them earlier in the week, they had a

target. Unfortunately, Glasgow are quite wise, Dragons stepped off them

the first time around, you are risking the opposition walking over

you if you do that. As Glasgow did here, they are patient, building the

wall and you cannot stop that. Pretty irresistible in the end, 16-3

it is at Rodney Parade, the Dragons to try and overturn the deficit. The

second half is coming up and there is a belter of a game coming your

way tomorrow night. Cardiff Blues are putting their unbeaten record on

the line when they well, Leinster. Catch the game live this Saturday at

years they would have laws, narrow games, beating Zebre, they got over

the line against Munster a few weeks ago as well. It just shows they have

something, character, and team spirit, Danny Wilson has options.

The Blues have not had that luxury for a long time. Very strong looking

Cardiff Blues team. Leinster are a bit mix and match, a few players on

the bench, you would have expected to start. It should be a fantastic

game to watch. We are not sure what the record is, but Gethin Jenkins,

it looks like he will keep going. He is a genetic freak. What more can

you say about Gethin Jenkins, he keeps putting in a huge

performances, we get in and week out, people have written him off,

but he is in pole position again. He is such an influence to the Blues,

the likes of Danny Wilson and everyone else have decided to give

him another year, he is fit and inform and as long as he is not

ready, he can go on for as long as he wants. Let us go to the

touchline, Catherine has one of Rodney Parade's favourite sons with

her. We have been enjoying some singing from the choir. Will the

Dragons survive this one? Hopefully. They made themselves an uphill

battle against a quality outfit like Glasgow and it is a case when the

Dragons get into positions, they are not being cynical enough, making

silly mistakes and Glasgow when they get into positions, they are

scoring. I was talking about your role as an ambassador, how are the

fans feeling? They came so close against Munster two weeks ago, I be

getting frustrated? I am sure that they are. Everyone wants their team

to win and the Dragons are no different. They put a good

performance in against Munster, but the Dragons faithful are here and we

will keep supporting them and hopefully we can turn it around and

we have 40 minutes to correct the mistakes we made in the first half

and stop giving away silly penalties and take our chances when they are

on offer. To get the win. We will wait and see, 40 crucial minutes,

Glasgow glas will by all means pull away with it.

that killed the Dragons in the first half, wasn't it? In the 22. Need to

and the Dragons get their just reward. A try within three minutes

of the restart and all that build-up finally pays off and Sam Hobbs gets

a try to the Dragons. Didn't they need that? They came away from that

passage of play with no score. It would have been devastating. That

extra two or three yards. A great finish by Sam Hobbs. Uses his power.

It is a carry before that from Jackson. Gets the Dragons on the

front foot. A perfect start to the second half for the Dragons.

It is what the Dragons wanted and what they needed.

Nick Macleod's successful conversion means it is now immediately a

one-score game. They have come out short so many

times, not just tonight, the Dragons. They've got to do the next

very close. And just goes to show put a try against Glasgow what they

him. Again it was not the greatest exit from the Dragons. A great

field gives Glasgow all sorts of options to put the Dragons back

The scrum has been pretty good tonight. We criticise the game. They

have been really good tonight. Both teams should be commended on that.

They have stayed on their feet and made it a real contest. Russell,

hounded. Weird weird into the gap, Beard into the gap. Jack Dixon gets

his second try for the Dragons. They are right back in there. And that

was a great counter. Came from absolutely nothing, didn't it? Finn

Russell, maybe a bit too overconfident. Line chasing the

Would you believe it n the space of eight-and-a-half minutes, the game

has been turned on its head and the Dragons lead by a point. Yes,

nothing more than they deserve. It has not been through lack of effort

they found themselves 16-3 down. There were poor decisions. They are

showing when they can't keep the ball they have really dangerous

backs. And a point in front after eight

minutes. They need to clear their lines. Not give Glasgow any

opportunity to get back at them. Well, the crowd have notched the

volume up. Little wonder, what a start to the

second half. Pretorius will is to use this.

Just squeezed it back in the end to Cory Hill. Now Pretorius out to

Macleod. Getting carried away with things, at the moment, the Dragons.

Screaming here, put the ball back in the Glasgow 22. There's no need to

panic. They have not been in this position all game. There's no need

to kick the ball down the channel of the back three. Here's the ball for

Tommy Seymour. Seymour picks up pace. Lovely offload, to Mark

Bennett. That is why absolutely Tommy Seymour

was flying. A great tackle by Pretorius. Now the dragoned on the

neither far or high. It has given him the chance to counter attack.

know, the crowd are bouncing. All the players are bouncing. They got

themselves back in front. In the blink of an eye are six points down

impressive. He said, I'll have this one and here we go. That is some

skill. Every other lose end, saying he

cannot be scrumming if he's got that energy. A brilliant finish.

Dragons have gone ahead. Just do that, play the territory. That is

what they needed to do before the last play really. They had the ball

on the halfway line. They were messing about with it. Full credit

to Glasgow. Still got to take those opportunities and they have gone

with the 70 metres. I was about to ask, do you think that Glasgow may

reign it in and get more conservative? Not a chance. A great

game though. Great game. Both sides want to score tries, don't they?

They have taken out the 22 now. Limited the choice. Murchie... Links

up again. A spell at Clermont. A young kid when he went out there. A

real talent, Bennett. Jack Dixon, well, it

is all All helterskelter stuff. They are in a great position. The

offload didn't come off. Lost in contact, Corey Flynn.

Sell only 21, Jack Dixon. Struggled with injuries. A big presence in

mid-field. They are a big, big back line and Hallam Amos, who has The X

Factor as well. Macleod, Dixon, Meyer on the short

Didn't have the access to Amos on the left wing. Easy to read in

defence. Turned over though by Glasgow and

Jonny Gray, Pyrgos, a bit of space for him. If that ball had come a

little bit quicker on his right-hand side, Shane was pointing, they were

in. The good scrambled defence of Jack Dixon.

Good play by Jonny Gray. Good hands. Dixon just has enough on it, just to

get over the touchline. If Seymour gets past that tackle there it is

trouble time for the Dragons. Sam Hobbs, try scorer, departs and

is replaced by Thomas Davies. A former Blue, who replaces a former

Blue. Lewis Evans, well he won't give up

on anything. Macleod, Dixon... This is where they have got to be

careful. They have lost Macleod. He's gone into the ruck. Pretorius

takes over the kicking duties but again it is easy for Murchie. It is

neither here nor there. It is not contestable and not long enough.

It will be a dragon scrum. Still being played out in the wide-open

places. They are looking to keep the ball in hand and you wonder what,

there are 25 minutes to go, it will take its toll. A few more missed

tackles before the end of the game. I think there will be. Both shows

endeavour to play with width and tempo.

They get to the likes of Dixon and Amos and Meyer. It is something we

will see as the game goes on. It will take its toll on fitness as

well. There is only so much you can run.

I don't know if he's trying to pull out Seymour. Make some space for the

centres, for Dixon and for Beard. Pressure on the Dragons' scrum. That

is why it spills out into the hands of Price.

Seymour tries to tighten his jump, but he and Meyer don't get that

close to it. The Dragons have lost Harris and

Hobbs. The first real scrum for the two replacements. Hopefully that's

not a sign of things to come. It is one area, one of the areas where

they have been very good tonight, the Dragons.

Hill delivers from the line. Pretorius again. They will give

Seymour another chance to run back at. This that time though runs into

traffic and runs into Davies. I don't see the point of that kick.

You either kick it long to gain territory or to compete and that was

neither. Jonny Gray... I tell you what, ball

in hand, Glasgow are good at the contact area.

Howard knew that the kick would be too long and they go back for the

scrum. That is a decent return for the Dragons and the head coach,

Jones is listening. A great ten minutes, a lapse and you are again

behind. It is the small detail that is missing. We work so hard. We do a

lot of good things. Critical little moments and we allowed Glasgow back

in again. From not really a lot of pressure. But there is a long way to

go. It is good to see a response in the second half. In the first half

we had a good 20 minutes. You changed there Pretorius, Davies on

and a couple of kicks really nothing, putting yourself under

pressure. Shane is dead right. Those kicks have got to be contestable

longer. A tired 60 minutes as well. Chaerlts what has different --

Charles has different threats. He's strong and physical. Hope for the

Options both side. Beard to the left here. We know he's got a great

kicking presence. Got to win the ball. Need a solid

comes from the last scrum. They couldn't help themselves.

That is so frustrating for the backs. A great position to attack

from. Options both side. It is difficult to defend that, not

knowing which way you will go. So, disapointeding really.

They called for a scrum. They've had the kick and they have the referees

calling for the scrum. That readjustment in the Glasgow back

line will be permanent because Mark Bennett went off for a HIA and he's

staying off. So, Rory Clegg at 10. Finn Russell at 12.

Probably lost an attacking threat, Glasgow. They have Rory Clegg with a

big kicking game. Going for the second drive. Try and

A good strike by Jonny Gray. Oh, well, then...

It is a let off for the Dragons. If Glasgow moved off the back there,

nice football. To complete the new front row, Rhys

Buckley replaces Rhys Thomas. The man we have been waiting for all

night to come on for Glasgow. There he is - the new prop.

Djustice Sears-Duru. Joined from the Ontario Blues. Making his Glasgow

debut. He complimented the scrums in the

first half. It always happens. Hold the space

The Tongan in his second season. Wait, wait... Lewis Evans tries to

deliver. Macleod and in the end, the quality of the scrum didn't allow

them to build an attack. Davies trying to draw the attention.

Lewis Evans could not get a decent passer in. Just one win in the last

14 for the Dragons in the league. That came against Zebre in round two

this year. Must have a record for the most losing bonus points. " Is.

So frustrating. Very very efficient line-out drive. It has won them a

tried to do this, in an area where they came up short, coming towards

the end of the game, you need that composure, knowing how to win and

inching forward. They could not do this against Munster. Charlie

little bit of accuracy, when the pressure is on, that lets them down.

So frustrating. We sound like a broken record, it is all about

knowing your roles, knowing who the carriers are, Lewis Evans was

expecting Buckley to have it, Buckley was expecting Lewis Evans to

have it. Sometimes you need to slow the ball down a little bit, the

scrum-half, make sure he knows who is getting it. It is a lost

opportunity again. Kingsley Jones and Shaun Connor there, frustrating.

You cannot really rip into them at half-time, they are giving

everything. It is never a lack of effort but the Dragons, it is

decision-making at key times, and losing becomes a habit, there are

not many players in the squad who are used to winning big games. That

is game management sometimes. Sometimes a few wrong decisions are

made, but the endeavour has always been there. They knew they had to

score first, they did that in the second half, put Glasgow under

pressure, unfortunately, errors, misjudgement and wrong decisions...

They are more capable of winning this game. But it is difficult.

Robin McBride earlier. Representing the Welsh selectors. Jason strange

alongside him. Successful Wales under 20 coach. Strauss, good wide

arc. That really was very well done. Rob Harley, another carry, taking

this further downfield. Penalty. That is a killer penalty. I think

Creswell will say he is the tackler, but the rock is formed before he

gets to his feet, he cannot play the ball and that is exactly what you

want, an easy penalty, line-out in and around the halfway line and they

will attack the Dragons. Great kick from Clegg. He has made the tackle.

Actually, there is no ruck there. He can play the ball, no Dragons player

coming into contact. Apologies to Nick Crosswell, that was not a silly

penalty. White, six. That is a key call that is.

Quick ball from the top of the line-out from Jonny Gray. Alex

Dunbar is right in the middle of the forwards, Price, to Clegg, Russell,

lovely drifting run from Russell. Lewis Evans has given everything

tonight to lead the Dragons. Both teams have really enjoyed that pass

behind the forwards, they have made inroads every time they have done

it, both sides, after 70 minutes, it is not as good as it was at the

start. Ali Price, to Jonny Gray, both captains, Rory Clegg. Brown.

Lewis Evans joins him. That is about his third tackle in a row, really

giving the effort there at the end of this match. Sensible kick.

Brilliant kick from Ali Price. Glasgow Warriors are not going

anywhere, great defence from the Dragons. As a forward, that is great

to see when your scrum-half Tom -- does that, that is great from Lewis

Evans. He has really worked hard tonight, put his body the line every

time. Ten carries, seven tackles. It is one win and one losing bonus

point for the Dragons, two wins and two losing bonus point for Glasgow.

Sam Beard's kick pushes Peter Murchie towards that far touchline,

an excellent kick. The bounce pass is underrated, especially on your

own line. Sam Beard did well, that could have been messy, it was a

brilliant kick. Got to try and get up and compete, the Dragons, try and

steal it. Put pressure on Pat MacArthur, the Glasgow line-out has

not been as functional as usual, they have been a little bit sloppy.

Harrison Keddie is coming on for the Dragons to replace Nick Crosswell.

Presumably Lewis Evans will shift across the back row and Josh Strauss

has departed for Glasgow. He tried that tactic, for the

Dragons, it has not worked, easy metres for Glasgow.

Glasgow's discipline has been excellent throughout and that is

what could see them through the final five minutes plus. Plenty of

hand time on that, Meyer got there first, a couple of not comes before.

--. Has not had that many opportunities. If the Warriors go on

to win theirs, the big difference is the kicking game, nothing has come

of that but it is a contestable kick. When Dragons have their kick,

they have given the ball straight back to Glasgow. Putting themselves

back under pressure. Dragons just went into the lead, they have got

all the ball, all the territory, and unfortunately they get the ball back

in their own 22 and kick the ball straight to see more. Glasgow have a

long night ahead of them, they are going back home tonight, they have a

coach and they can sleep on it. They will get back in about five o'clock

in the morning. Advantage, Black. Dixon floats it out, but the referee

They had to scramble back in defence, flies out, there is a

penalty. It could take a losing bonus point away from the Dragons.

It was one of those desperate penalties there, Sam Beard had to

try and do something, great by Finn Russell. He perhaps should have

passed it on the inside, but a nice little break and this will be the

ball game if it goes over, put Glasgow two scores in front. Here

go, a little ball off Sears-Duru. He knows he has missed the tackle. He

is up on his feet. Release coming from the side, just desperation from

the Dragons. That got the alarm bells ringing in

the Dragons defence. It is the kick that takes the losing bonus point

away from the Dragons. Finn Russell. That will be very cruel if it stays

like that. You have a tough decision, man of the match. The

standout players have been on the Dragons side, Lewis Evans had a big

game, Jack Dixon, Fraser Brown, he has not played openside for a long

time but he has been amongst everything, carried really well,

been a nuisance in the contact area for the Dragons. For me, man of the

match is Fraser Brown. Away tackle and move! Just 45 seconds for

Glasgow to see off now. Leonardo Sarto, needs to keep the ball in

hand. It is a penalty. That should be a penalty to the Dragons there.

It is a Glasgow throw. It must have come off, Leonardo Sarto must have

come off the Dragons player. It will be so frustrating. No lack of effort

or commitment. Dragons! Decision-making at crucial times has

cost them tonight against a very good side in Glasgow. They have been

clinical when they need to be. That is it, the clock is red but Cudd

gets the ball and Harrison Keddie launches himself at the Glasgow

defence. McLeod, Dixon, Meyer. The penalty goes the other way and

Glasgow, after losing two games, have gone down to Rodney Parade and

on-the-job and it is Fraser Brown. Job done for Glasgow. Huge

disappointment for the Dragons. Again, you cannot fault them for

their effort and you cannot fault them for the way they fought back as

well at the beginning of the second half and turned A13 point deficit

into a 1-point lead. That was to be the final score for the Dragons,

because it is ten unanswered points for Glasgow. They showed their

experience and they show the confidence that comes from winning

and that confidence was lacking with the Dragons. It is yet another

defeat for them, just one win in 15 now in the Pro12 for the Dragons.

Again, they have nothing to show for all that effort. Defeat at home game

for the Dragons. Glasgow back to winning ways, it has finished 17 -

26 to Glasgow. Shane Williams said that the deficit at half-time could

be overturned within ten minutes and it was a return within eight

minutes, a cracking start to the second half from the Dragons. Sam

Hobbs going over. Then there's from Jack Dixon. Fantastic off-load. A

powerful finish. A young man crashing over the line and eggs

looking rosy for the Dragons, but no sooner had Jackson Dixon .Mac, what

a turn of pace, Alex Allan, and as he saw at the end, Finn Russell

rubbing salt into the wound. The Dragons denied a losing bonus point.

They remain in seventh place, a miserable run of just one win in 15.

Glasgow are third after two defeats, three from five. We can speak to

said before this match that you were expecting a difficult one and that

is exactly what you got. It is always a tough match here. We know

what it is like. It is tough up front. The Dragons are physical.

Tough game. They came out at half-time, threw everything at you

but you fought back and in the driving seat once again. We were

caught cold after half-time, did not help but I was still taking my rest.

It has been a difficult couple of weeks, not just with the results but

also with the changes in our squad. Hoping to build on this for next

week when you are way to Zebre? Important couple of weeks, Zebre

next week and then going on to the first Champions Cup games, really

good to win. How important is that word momentum? Very. We had a really

good run at the end of last season. The failure of going out every

single week and will be hard to beat. Just to get that feeling back

in the squad, really important. Congratulations. Enjoy the long

journey back to Glasgow. Not sure if I fancy that, 12 hours on a mega

Bass. What an emotional roller-coaster for Dragons fans. 13

points adrift and then that blistering start the second half

when they got in front and their fans thinking they are about to

witness a fantastic comeback and they end with nothing. They have to

commend the effort. They did not give up. Same old story for the

Dragons. They played for each other. Sometimes the game management and

the errors and discipline does not help them. Great game. If you had

watched half that game you would have wondered how the Dragons lost.

It is the story of their season. We will talk more specifically about

some of those errors and the lack of composure at critical times. In

general, how low is confidence now when you consider that statistic,

one victory in 15 Pro12 games? It is not great. The Dragons will be

devastated to lose the game in that fashion. They put a lot of pressure

on Glasgow early in the second half and to concede a try in the fashion

they did, it is really harsh. It is crucial that they concentrate for

the full 80 minutes. Let us look at a couple of the mistakes, two

critical ones, when the Dragons got into the Glasgow 22, inevitably this

happened, either it led to a knock-on or miscommunication, what

do they need to do to sharpen that aspect of their game up? They need

to be more clinical, more communication, it is a real killer

when you're losing the ball back close to the line, the teams at the

top of the leak will punish you and it is something they need to work

on. Two of those examples, neither of them seem to know the ball was

coming their way? They communication problem. You have to expect that the

ball will get you, sometimes it passes across another player and it

is difficult. They need to get a bit of composure, even slow down the

ball, sometimes it is great to have a quick ball, but when it is two

yards from the try line, it is difficult. They tried pasting the

ball whereas they put their foot on it, slowed it down and round it,

even if it was inch was inch by inch, just get over the try line. We

can go and speak to the losing Dragons captain, Lewis Evans. He is

talking to me. A little bit of a smile, but ultimately, I am

imagining that the overall feeling is one of immense frustration after

that defeat. I do not want to be like a broken record, but to come so

close, and we do not even get a bonus point. Glasgow are a quality

team, but if we do not take our opportunities,, we will not win.

Just chatting to the guys in the studio, plenty of forays into the

Glasgow 22, but just execution letting you down. Is that something

that comes with our lack of confidence, that comes from a series

of defeats? We have identified that from previous performances, we have

worked on it and that one up our game tried was almost like a

training ground transfers. It just shows that when we do our jobs well

and we do it accurately, we scored tries and we need to be more

consistent. We appreciate your time and a big game next week against the

Thank you. He said it all, look like a defeated man, but if there are

positives to be taken and there are plenty, when they look at the tapes,

one of which was the form of Jack Dixon, brilliantly taking try, some

massive hits in defence. It is nice he is playing a standard he can

again. He is a quality player and a prospect for Wales. He really worked

hard in defence and attack tonight and the way he finished off the try,

he has a man to beat, and he showed his power. Great finish and great to

see him in this form. It certainly is. He has been in and out of Wales

squads, he has that experience training with Warren Gatland's men

and showing international pedigree. He is young, plenty to come from

him. He has had some injuries, a little bit unlucky, he is doing his

talking on the likes of Beard, Lewis Evans did well tonight as well. A

lot of good performances, that adds to the frustration that they cannot

do it all. One man who will be dining out on his performance and it

was probably 20 seconds, but Alex Allan, what a try, what a step. For

Matthews, a real lapse in concentration. You see a prop in

front of you, you do not think he will give you at left step and that

is what he did. It is a mistake and it cost the Dragons. It was a game

they could have won and the guys will be so disappointed not to have

come away with a win here again. Same performance as monster, they

could have won the game. A real confidence thing, they need to find

out from somewhere. I know the feeling well, it you take the field

and you have got the belief you can win and you get into the final

stages and someone makes a mistake, unfortunately the game goes away

from you. Scott Gibbs was famously once called the fastest prop in the

world, does Alex Allan have that claim? What a perfect time to score

the try. I suppose the Dragons defence will not be happy, they

should have closed the gap. If you have got loosehead is doing a step

like that, you do not look out for that in training the week before. He

showed a nice turn of pace. It was impeccable timing for Glasgow

because Dragons were back in the game, they had just gone into the

lead and look to get a hold of the game, but it is a killer. I critical

point in the game. Gregor Townsend is with us now. We saw scenes a few

celebrating, considering the last few weeks, how important is that

when? We knew it would be tough. We felt we had done a lot of good work

in the first half and we would kick on, but Dragons came right back into

it and put us under a lot of pressure. It was great to see Alex

Allan breakaway for the tried and the forward pressure that we put on

in the last ten minutes to see us home. I was going to ask about that

try, he will enjoy that. He had a fair turn of pace, he fancies

himself as a ball player and it is good to see him get his hands on the

ball. I give very much, congratulations. Congratulations to

Gregor Townsend. I think we have got about one minute. Let us turn our

attention to tomorrow night. You are therefore club rugby, massive game

for the Blues against Leinster. I think they will keep their record.

Two very good teams, both in form, Danny Wilson has put some good

structure into the game with Cardiff Blues and they will definitely be

Ospreys recover from their defeat last week? They will have learnt how
