Semi-finals: Judd Trump v Stephen Maguire Snooker: Welsh Open

talking to him and I described him as the king of the comeback. We

were talking about Stephen Maguire's fighting qualities but

Stuart Bingham has dug in. One of his clearances was probably in the

top three clearances of all-time. He was under pressure today. He was

4-2 in front and he should have gone 5-2 and I think the match

might have got away from him then. He made a wonderful century in the

last game to win. Will he play Judd Trump or Stephen Maguire? We will

find out tonight. Judd Trump, a few moments ago, tweeted, "garbage so

scene it looked like he was going to be one of the dominant forces

within the game then it all went wrong and it has taken quite a

while before he has come back to some kind of form. It is a slow

process to get there but he seems to be winning the battle. There was

I think he'd lost his dedication a little bit. There is a danger when

you get to an age where you get bored of snooker and perhaps he did.

But I think he has got the appetite back. He is an animal on the table.

He really does look terribly hungry. Not every player in the game gives

off those vibes. He is not polite around the table. If you are in his

way, he will barge you out of the way because it is his table. He is

selfish - that is his table when he is playing. When you look at cue

action, he hits the ball with greater authority. It is a definite

punch. When he delivers it, he accelerates through the ball. He

plays cannons very well. He gets a position when he is in the balls.

Very few weaknesses. Can he get back to his ultimate winning ways

and win the championship? I think so. But there is no doubt. Whether

he can win as high as No. 1, he perhaps lacks the dedication to go

through the whole season putting the work in. He backs to take
