# STUDIO: Welcome back to the 2016

:01:25.:01:33.

Welsh Open final, we are almost ready to get the show back up and

:01:34.:01:37.

running and in a moment a recap of what happened this afternoon but

:01:38.:01:42.

first ever mind of the two big stars battling to lift this trophy later

:01:43.:01:53.

tonight -- first a reminder of the two big stars. I'd like to think

:01:54.:02:00.

that some of the stuff iPlayer is the greatest anyone has ever played,

:02:01.:02:05.

I might not have seven world titles, I've got five, not as much as

:02:06.:02:10.

Stephen Hendry or Steve Davis, not far behind but for sheer scoring and

:02:11.:02:15.

shots, whatever, I'd like to think it is as good as anybody has ever

:02:16.:02:23.

produced in the game. Probably the match everyone wanted to see,

:02:24.:02:29.

especially I've won the last two big tournaments and he won the Masters,

:02:30.:02:34.

we have won the last three big titles and England against

:02:35.:02:36.

Australia, everyone likes to say that, it will be a great occasion.

:02:37.:02:45.

He is competing to a level that again is as good as anyone has ever

:02:46.:02:50.

played in the game, he has made 100 centuries in one year, the UK

:02:51.:02:55.

championship, he was involved in a great match at the Masters, he has

:02:56.:02:59.

played flawless stoker this week, the guy is playing in a great era,

:03:00.:03:06.

in terms of depth, as high as it has ever been, and he is dominating,

:03:07.:03:11.

really -- flawless snooker. You have got to have admiration for him. I've

:03:12.:03:20.

never seen him play better and made -- neither have some of the others.

:03:21.:03:24.

I never saw him in the late to thousands, but everyone says he is

:03:25.:03:28.

now playing the best snooker of his career. It is more important that

:03:29.:03:33.

people go away and say, that is a great match, and they have really

:03:34.:03:38.

enjoyed it. Hopefully we both want a great match, and obviously it would

:03:39.:03:42.

be nice to win, but if I didn't, I still think I've had a great week,

:03:43.:03:46.

I've enjoyed it. I'm not a good loser so I will be trying

:03:47.:03:50.

everything, and I want to win, of course, but I'm up against the

:03:51.:04:03.

machine. It's been a long time. 2009 was my last summit final here, the

:04:04.:04:07.

crowd have been waiting for a long time for me to get here, guys to get

:04:08.:04:12.

back into another final, this is the second tournament I ever won and it

:04:13.:04:15.

would be great to pick up the trophy again. The hotly anticipated final

:04:16.:04:22.

between Ronnie O'Sullivan and Neil Robertson did not quite ignite this

:04:23.:04:25.

afternoon but it has set up a fascinating evening session. It was

:04:26.:04:31.

the Australian who struck first to claim the opening frame, and Ronnie

:04:32.:04:38.

was more preoccupied with his cue. He has barely missed a pot away, but

:04:39.:04:45.

he failed to launch, and he lost the second frame. Ronnie has won nine of

:04:46.:04:50.

the previous 14 meetings between them, and although he did not pounce

:04:51.:04:55.

on an uncharacteristic mistake by Robertson in the third, O'Sullivan

:04:56.:04:59.

script is way back into the match. -- scraped his way. It was short

:05:00.:05:05.

lived, an error strewn afternoon session from the current Masters

:05:06.:05:12.

champion, and 76 for Robertson and a 3-1 advantage. After the interval,

:05:13.:05:17.

Robinson had the chance to extend his lead but he snooker himself on

:05:18.:05:23.

the yellow. That allowed Ronnie his first break of note, 60, and just

:05:24.:05:30.

one frame behind. Described as a machine by Ronnie before the match,

:05:31.:05:35.

Robertson showed his mettle, opening up a 5-2 advantage with one to play.

:05:36.:05:43.

And then what seemed a moment of real sportsmanship by Robertson, on

:05:44.:05:48.

a break of 44, Ronnie put himself in trouble, failing to hit the ground

:05:49.:05:51.

twice, but Robertson was quick to point out the misrule, as the black

:05:52.:05:56.

was available, but his generosity cost Robertson the frame and now

:05:57.:06:02.

they are nicely poised at 5-3 ahead of the final session.

:06:03.:06:15.

Cardiff, make some noise for the five-time world champion, three-time

:06:16.:06:27.

Welsh Open champion, it is the Rocket, Ronnie O'Sullivan! APPLAUSE

:06:28.:06:56.

To the man who is leading 5-3, he has already won the UK championship,

:06:57.:07:02.

and the Champion of champions this season, ladies and gentlemen, the

:07:03.:07:09.

Thunder from Down Under, from Australia, Neil Robertson!

:07:10.:07:18.

Two big stars and one trophy up for grabs, who is going to lift the

:07:19.:07:49.

Welsh Open trophy in 2016? In the commentary box, Darren Morgan and

:07:50.:07:56.

Willie Thorne. COMMENTATOR: The clash of the Titans, the best

:07:57.:07:59.

players of the week so far have made it to the final. One O'Sullivan has

:08:00.:08:04.

been in unbelievable form, but he was put to the test this afternoon

:08:05.:08:13.

and Robertson is leading 5-3, he slowed down O'Sullivan, as you would

:08:14.:08:14.

expect, and he made the running. I know you did most of the afternoon

:08:15.:08:38.

session, how did it go in your opinion? Probably, it was a true

:08:39.:08:46.

reflection, 5-3, two Neil Robertson, he was more positive out of the two.

:08:47.:08:52.

What was noticeable, Ronnie O'Sullivan turned down many of the

:08:53.:08:56.

long shots that he had been going for all week and getting. Maybe he

:08:57.:09:03.

is trying to be too careful. On reflection, it was a fair result,

:09:04.:09:08.

5-3, and I think Ronnie would have been happy with that. The black out

:09:09.:09:13.

of place and so he might decide to pot this. Maybe a fibre hanging off

:09:14.:09:21.

the edge. Going across the face of the pink. The long ones have not

:09:22.:09:27.

been going in today so far. Yes, that has been the strong part

:09:28.:09:43.

of his game all week, as well, and against Mark Selby it was quite

:09:44.:09:52.

frightening. It is quite low for him today, 43%. Neil Robertson is on

:09:53.:10:06.

pink or black, but when Ronnie missed the red, the black was

:10:07.:10:12.

disturbed, and a couple of threads, to make the balls into a better

:10:13.:10:20.

position. -- a couple of reds. This is just what Neil Robertson would

:10:21.:10:24.

have wanted before he came out, a nice early opportunity to settle

:10:25.:10:29.

himself down. The butterflies will be jangling.

:10:30.:10:53.

I'm pretty sure the black will still pot. Just off its spot at the

:10:54.:11:01.

moment, but it will be available into one of the corners if not both.

:11:02.:11:09.

Does not have the angle to move one of the two that is just above the

:11:10.:11:18.

black. I think he can run round two cushions, at least one of them will

:11:19.:11:22.

pot into the opposite corner to the black. Almost goes unnoticed, what a

:11:23.:11:33.

great break-builder Neil Robertson is, to have made 100 competitive

:11:34.:11:40.

centuries two seasons ago, that is an achievement which will never be

:11:41.:11:48.

done again, I think. Very soon, the black will be available into both

:11:49.:11:51.

corners, this is a very good early chance.

:11:52.:12:24.

Very good striker of the ball, Neil Robertson. When he first came over,

:12:25.:12:35.

he clearly had a lot of talent, fantastic potter and in the last

:12:36.:12:41.

couple of years he has improved his safety and his break-building which

:12:42.:12:47.

has turned him into the player he currently is. He used to pot

:12:48.:12:56.

ridiculous balls all the time, and then get out of position, but now

:12:57.:13:00.

his positional play is second to none.

:13:01.:13:10.

The split has turned out nice, he was never going to get onto the

:13:11.:13:15.

bottom one of that split. The fact he caught that red slightly full.

:13:16.:13:57.

CHEERING That is a mistake, just when I

:13:58.:14:04.

thought he was going to go on to win the frame at that visit, he missed a

:14:05.:14:09.

relatively easy pot. At first class it -- first glance it looked as

:14:10.:14:22.

though he might have covered it. Ronnie is taking the long pot and

:14:23.:14:27.

play for the green or brown. APPLAUSE

:14:28.:14:34.

Little bit in between, not nicely on the green or the yellow. But they

:14:35.:14:39.

should not be any problem with the red in the middle. -- there.

:14:40.:14:55.

He certainly went at that yellow. Another few inches and this red

:14:56.:15:07.

would have been impossible. He will be a bit relieved, there, Ronnie. Of

:15:08.:15:15.

course, Neil Robertson with his last effort would have been expecting to

:15:16.:15:22.

win this frame and re-establishes three frame lead. -- re-establish

:15:23.:15:29.

his. We talk about turning points in matches, could this be the turning

:15:30.:15:34.

point that Ronnie is looking for? He has a choice of areas to play in.

:15:35.:15:40.

When you are not settled in the early part of the match, it is

:15:41.:15:43.

always better to play with a choice of two. A bit shorter, he could have

:15:44.:15:49.

been in the middle, but instead he is at the bottom. He now has an

:15:50.:15:52.

excellent chance to get back into the frame, if not win it.

:15:53.:16:15.

The early kick. He does not have the ball cleaned, though. He had a

:16:16.:16:24.

horrendous one in the afternoon. It took all the pace out of the cue

:16:25.:16:30.

ball. Once again, he has not had a claim. -- he has not had it clean.

:16:31.:16:38.

Other players have it cleaned out the first sign of a kick. Maybe they

:16:39.:16:43.

will do it a bit different right now, because you rarely see two

:16:44.:16:47.

kicks on the trot. He could play the risky shot and try

:16:48.:17:05.

and move the red from the side cushion, or drag back for the reds

:17:06.:17:11.

to the right, which he has done. I don't blame him for playing it that

:17:12.:17:15.

way. He is right back in this frame now. He will need the awkward red.

:17:16.:17:26.

On the left cushion. Yes, now the work starts, two reds which are on

:17:27.:17:38.

the cushion, he needs both of those. He will be looking for the angle

:17:39.:17:42.

this time on either pink or blue to get the cannon. He might have to go

:17:43.:17:52.

for yellow or green. That is because he would like to be on it half ball.

:17:53.:18:01.

He is now perfect on the green. Also perfect on the brown. I thought the

:18:02.:18:06.

green would have been easier to get onto the one next to the black. That

:18:07.:18:15.

wiped its feet but the position is perfect. APPLAUSE

:18:16.:18:22.

And that if he gets on the half ball black he has an excellent chance to

:18:23.:18:28.

bring the last red out. And that is also perfect. The only thing which

:18:29.:18:37.

can go wrong is a double-kiss. APPLAUSE

:18:38.:18:44.

This is not the time, do I play the pot or do I play safe?

:18:45.:19:05.

That is a very well played shot. No point in taking the risk on that

:19:06.:19:16.

red, he would probably pot it one in ten. Neil Robertson has got to make

:19:17.:19:22.

contact with this red and also get it safe. He has got to come off the

:19:23.:19:32.

two cushions and get in behind the red. Slight chance he could swerve

:19:33.:19:38.

round the yellow and tried to make the angle. If he misses the red he

:19:39.:19:48.

is bound to cannon into it. That's the problem. That will be put back.

:19:49.:20:02.

Looking at that, he could not get much more side on the cue ball, and

:20:03.:20:13.

that shot is not on. Imperative the cue ball goes back in the same place

:20:14.:20:19.

this time. Just suggesting it is a bit further off the cushion than

:20:20.:20:24.

that, he can't get close to the cue ball if it is that close to the

:20:25.:20:29.

cushion. And he could easily have got to the bottom of the cue ball.

:20:30.:20:36.

He will probably have one more go at this. He's not bound to get desired

:20:37.:20:47.

amount of side. Playing it slower, he has forced the angle. That is a

:20:48.:20:54.

very good shot. Will this leave a shot to nothing for O'Sullivan? He

:20:55.:21:02.

has. He has not been potting many long once today, but the rest of the

:21:03.:21:04.

week he has been potting everything. It was on the thin side to make sure

:21:05.:21:21.

that he got a good white. That was a long way off. In those the

:21:22.:21:27.

importance of this frame. -- he knows.

:21:28.:21:43.

That is tempting for Ronnie. This is the shot he would practice often. He

:21:44.:22:05.

was a lot closer that time. This frame is still in the balance. The

:22:06.:22:13.

way these balls are situated. All it is going to take is one good pot.

:22:14.:22:34.

Not the best safety shot Neil Robertson has ever played, and he

:22:35.:22:46.

might drag this in behind the black and pink. He has played the pot. It

:22:47.:22:53.

was not a great safety shot from Neil Robertson, and that time he

:22:54.:22:59.

played a shot for something. 26 points in front, just a colour

:23:00.:23:01.

needed. 28 point lead. Unexpected miss but

:23:02.:23:44.

Bart unexpected snookers, Ronnie O'Sullivan will be back to 5-4 in

:23:45.:23:47.

the match -- bar. Neil Robertson was in first with a

:23:48.:24:22.

break of 39. With a red into the middle pocket, and he looks like

:24:23.:24:28.

going 6-3 in front. -- he looked like. But this is now just a bit of

:24:29.:24:33.

practice for Ronnie. It was a frame which could have gone

:24:34.:25:00.

either way. O'Sullivan with a 57 break to pinch it and O'Sullivan is

:25:01.:25:04.

back in the match now at 5-4. STUDIO: Welcome to our studio, in

:25:05.:25:11.

the players practice room, and good evening to you. You are looking this

:25:12.:25:16.

bundle, and this was always going to be a crucial frame, Ronnie is now

:25:17.:25:19.

back in it -- you are looking resplendent. He now has that frame.

:25:20.:25:29.

Yes, indeed, and coming out he would have set himself a target, 3-1 up at

:25:30.:25:34.

the mid-evening session interval, that would get it back to 6-6, and

:25:35.:25:39.

if he had lost that first frame it would have been a tricky target to

:25:40.:25:43.

reach him about still possible. That first frame is a big one in the

:25:44.:25:47.

context of the match. Neil Robertson was looking very good, as he had all

:25:48.:25:51.

day, but then he missed one red in the centre pocket. That allowed

:25:52.:25:58.

Ronnie to get back in with the 57 break and be in the ascendancy and

:25:59.:26:01.

that frame, and he controlled it from there. Different complexion,

:26:02.:26:06.

but Neil Robertson has not been ruffled all week. No. It is these

:26:07.:26:12.

small errors, the poor runs of the ball which can make such a

:26:13.:26:16.

difference in a match of this quality, and that was a very good

:26:17.:26:23.

frame to watch, I enjoy that, it was on the last red in the end, even

:26:24.:26:26.

though the score was in Ronnie's favour. Yes, it is all about the

:26:27.:26:32.

small margins. Robertson is now leading by just a single frame.

:26:33.:26:39.

COMMENTATOR: Ronnie was looking for the thinnest of edges and that was

:26:40.:26:50.

very thin. Finnair! -- thin air! Neil has a shot to the corner.

:26:51.:27:03.

Superb pot. It was not a foul, so Ronnie must have got the thinnest of

:27:04.:27:20.

edges. What a great pot that was. Quite a positive character, Neil

:27:21.:27:31.

Robertson. Not much fazes him. He's a very clever player. Sometime in

:27:32.:27:38.

amongst the balls he can be quite deliberate. Depending on who he is

:27:39.:27:41.

playing. He still has a couple of loose reds

:27:42.:29:00.

before going into the bunch, but he decided to go in on that occasion.

:29:01.:29:08.

The cue ball did not arc quickly enough. Otherwise it would have

:29:09.:29:15.

slowed the white down. But he has a choice of shots. He has a plant

:29:16.:29:24.

which he is looking at. From where the cue ball is, it is very tough,

:29:25.:29:28.

and you would imagine he would take on the long one rather than the

:29:29.:29:33.

plant. He has been slightly unfortunate. Unless this plant is

:29:34.:29:42.

straight to the corner, there's a lot of distance between both balls,

:29:43.:29:45.

but in the last frame he was very positive. He landed on the centre,

:29:46.:29:50.

but it was not easy, and the same this time. The red has gone in and

:29:51.:29:55.

he is nicely on the pink, it has worked out OK for him. I think he

:29:56.:30:02.

deserves that. He played a positive shot off the black. Could not have

:30:03.:30:11.

hit the cue ball any harder. Did not go into them tentative, that is for

:30:12.:30:12.

certain. Miss and easy ball in your previous

:30:13.:30:36.

frame when you look like taking the frame, he has missed an easy ball in

:30:37.:30:37.

this frame. With every pot that is going in,

:30:38.:32:25.

this will be hurting Neil Robertson. It was not long ago that he was

:32:26.:32:29.

three frames ahead. The way the balls are situated, you would not

:32:30.:32:36.

bet against him levelling up in this match.

:32:37.:33:01.

He made the break of 57 to get past the winning line in the previous

:33:02.:33:12.

frame. Just five of the remaining six with colours will take him over

:33:13.:33:17.

the winning line in this frame. That will be a body blow for Neill.

:33:18.:34:03.

He's looking at his tip, he missed that one, he played a lot of other

:34:04.:34:11.

good shots. He did not quite get onto that read from the black in the

:34:12.:34:19.

previous shot. Neil Robertson will not mind. He will have thought he

:34:20.:34:29.

lost that frame. What a great read. -- red.

:34:30.:34:35.

They don't come much better than that. We will see if Robertson can

:34:36.:34:49.

go on now, get right back into this frame and possibly even pinch the

:34:50.:34:55.

frame now. It is funny seeing pinch when it looks like he is going to

:34:56.:34:59.

win it in the first place, then it swayed towards Ronnie. This is

:35:00.:35:07.

massive, in the context of this final.

:35:08.:35:28.

He's hardly missed the ball all week when it is in play, he has virtually

:35:29.:35:37.

every time made a frame-winning break. Today's not been quite the

:35:38.:35:38.

same. The blue is just about right to get

:35:39.:35:59.

in behind the two reds. It is all about judging the pace right. It

:36:00.:36:12.

must be thinner than it looks from the commentary position. He's played

:36:13.:36:28.

it. I did not see that coming. Very shaky stuff from these two great

:36:29.:36:30.

players. Positive shot. Was not far-away.

:36:31.:37:13.

That gives him another chance. He has cued that very good indeed

:37:14.:37:45.

into the middle of the pocket. It's all about this shot. If it goes in

:37:46.:37:55.

then it is levelling the match. Good choices.

:37:56.:38:23.

This will give him all sorts of confidence, the way that Neil

:38:24.:38:31.

Robertson has missed all sorts of chances. A little glance at the

:38:32.:38:40.

scoreboard will tell him he is going to win the first two games. He has

:38:41.:38:43.

not had to do too much. That was a little exhibition shot.

:38:44.:39:18.

It does not matter about the black, he has won the frame. Not the start

:39:19.:39:32.

he wanted. For two players of their calibre it was an error strewn

:39:33.:39:40.

frame. Both guys realise the importance of every frame being

:39:41.:39:44.

played out there and Neil Robertson is trying to protect his lead. There

:39:45.:39:48.

is pressure on both of them and they are missing that one ball that could

:39:49.:39:51.

be the passport to winning the frame. Neil Robertson missed the

:39:52.:40:01.

pink and let him back in. Neither occasion did the player make the

:40:02.:40:07.

opportunity and it could have gone either way but Ronnie O'Sullivan won

:40:08.:40:17.

it. He is in the ascendancy. Do you think the tension is getting to

:40:18.:40:22.

them? They might relax now. You might see some big breaks and far

:40:23.:40:28.

less errors. Who knows. It is a lot of pressure and it is the final. No

:40:29.:40:35.

level -- they are level now at 5-5. I think we will give him the benefit

:40:36.:41:12.

of the doubt. It looked like he was playing that direct. Let's have

:41:13.:41:16.

another look. In fairness I think he probably played it that way.

:41:17.:41:53.

He suggested that might have drifted a little bit. When you play on that

:41:54.:42:00.

slope you don't need the centre ball, the side will take.

:42:01.:42:13.

All of sudden it is starting to happen for a Ronnie O'Sullivan. That

:42:14.:42:29.

was very well struck indeed. Not a great position at the moment, there

:42:30.:42:39.

are only a couple of reds. A little bit of work to be done. Probably see

:42:40.:42:48.

him play the pink left-centre and come down for the black. Try to

:42:49.:43:00.

clear things up there. This is not the Ronnie O'Sullivan or the Neil

:43:01.:43:07.

Robertson we have been seeing. It is the tension of the final.

:43:08.:43:25.

Very similar to the pink. I think Neil Robertson had it slightly more

:43:26.:43:42.

difficult than that. This expression tells us he thought he had a big

:43:43.:43:51.

bounce there. I've not quite worked out what that does when you brush

:43:52.:44:02.

preclusion, what does it do? I think they are making sure that everybody

:44:03.:44:09.

knows. As it happens, it has gone in their favour because it finished up

:44:10.:44:15.

perfect. He needs to play the stun through.

:44:16.:44:30.

He does not like the pack at all. It just shows you how awkward it is.

:44:31.:44:53.

He will need to come up with a shot because he's landed very straight

:44:54.:45:00.

there. He is looking at the one with the green pocket on the outside. Can

:45:01.:45:14.

he get it to the middle? That is where he would be playing at,

:45:15.:45:16.

otherwise he has overhit that one. He's given himself plenty to do

:45:17.:45:40.

here. That the problem. May not get a better chance and that is the

:45:41.:45:48.

equation here. Three shots to go. He will be sitting there thinking,

:45:49.:45:59.

could be well behind in this. His normal long potting is very good.

:46:00.:47:06.

That was a risky one. Had all his eggs in one basket there. Watched

:47:07.:47:19.

his discipline a little bit and was not guaranteed in that position even

:47:20.:47:30.

if he had made that pot. Obviously it is important he gets a frame on

:47:31.:47:35.

the board tonight. Every frame that goes by Will get a little bit

:47:36.:47:39.

harder. He knows he has had his chances to win the opening frames

:47:40.:47:40.

and has not capitalised on them. It depends on whether these red art

:47:41.:48:10.

in a possible land, we will be able to show you that in a few moments.

:48:11.:48:25.

The reds will split perfectly. He could be pushing them onto both

:48:26.:48:26.

corners. Playing for the loose one this time.

:48:27.:48:53.

Let's look at these red is. -- reds. He will bring them into play. It

:48:54.:49:05.

does not really matter this time, he is pushing one towards the middle.

:49:06.:49:08.

Ideally he would like to missed the first red. He was always going to

:49:09.:49:15.

push one towards the middle. Could have done with catching that half

:49:16.:49:20.

ball, not fool ball. It is amazing the difference it makes when you

:49:21.:49:21.

catch them. Once again, playing for choice of

:49:22.:49:59.

reds. It is hard to see him not taking the lead for the first time

:50:00.:50:01.

in this match. Lost the opening two. The lead goes to 26, so it is just

:50:02.:50:36.

the red needed. Has not been vintage Ronnie O'Sullivan this evening but

:50:37.:50:44.

he has been given too many chances. Another frame on the board.

:50:45.:51:07.

His highest has been 60 so far. He will eclipse that.

:51:08.:51:31.

Should be able to pop this one. It is more than enough for Ronnie

:51:32.:51:52.

O'Sullivan to take the lead. I'm just trying to question the shot

:51:53.:51:56.

that Neil Robertson played. He felt he could probably get through the

:51:57.:51:58.

gap and he misjudged it completely. Yes, that is the only thing I can

:51:59.:52:14.

think of, he played the red thinking there is a gap. He's not really

:52:15.:52:24.

given him any chances. Safety has been very strong and he played all

:52:25.:52:28.

the right shots but that one all went wrong. He did not get the right

:52:29.:52:38.

cannon. We were talking about three shots that Neil Robertson has

:52:39.:52:41.

missed. They would be very easy for him.

:52:42.:52:53.

The panic alarm will not be going just yet. But he will not be feeling

:52:54.:53:02.

as good as he did when he walked into the arena. It is imperative he

:53:03.:53:14.

takes the frame before the interval. This is bigger for Neil Robertson.

:53:15.:53:28.

He has needed two chances in every frame and he has got them.

:53:29.:54:05.

It's quite funny tonight, there's a different atmosphere tonight, the

:54:06.:54:16.

crowd are getting involved. I'm sure that there are some fans of Neil

:54:17.:54:20.

Robertson as well. He has made more mistakes than he

:54:21.:55:01.

has made in the tournament so far. In fairness, that seemed to push

:55:02.:55:16.

square, that capped. He may or may not have meant that. He could not

:55:17.:55:30.

rely on hitting that. That is unfortunate. How many more pinks is

:55:31.:55:36.

he going to miss? He would like to disturb the red and

:55:37.:56:18.

the black. That will do, he is nicely on the

:56:19.:56:35.

red, in the centre. The pink spot is taken.

:56:36.:56:47.

This is a good chance and you feel that he has got to craft something

:56:48.:56:56.

with this effort. I don't fancy his chances if he goes behind further.

:56:57.:57:10.

This is massive. He just pushed it away.

:57:11.:57:39.

That is not his best. He will be very disappointed with that shot.

:57:40.:57:58.

That was not a bad shot, it was the one before. He is feeling it

:57:59.:58:16.

big-time. Concentrated so hard. Completely mis-hit it. As in the

:58:17.:58:25.

first three frames, he has been in first and not put it to bed.

:58:26.:58:53.

He will take it. Went round the back of that red. Handy little kiss. If

:58:54.:59:12.

that pink spot is still covered, this will good as close as possible

:59:13.:59:20.

to the one spot. No problem. Not much room there. Concentrate on the

:59:21.:59:23.

pink. The red will park at the back, so he

:59:24.:59:38.

can play for that. -- pot. The plant is on, it is on on the one

:59:39.:00:05.

at the back. Probably wishes he had played the

:00:06.:00:33.

plant, because he will need a lot of cue ball speed on this to get there.

:00:34.:00:42.

That was too short. He has played for the red in the bunch in the

:00:43.:00:45.

middle, and his body language tells me that he is not on it. That is the

:00:46.:00:50.

one he played for, the one in the middle of those three reds. Is he

:00:51.:00:56.

playing the plant? That is more like the O'Sullivan we have been watching

:00:57.:01:02.

all week. Very dangerous plant, but made to look very easy. Yes, all

:01:03.:01:09.

week he would be going for the yellow, and then taking the long

:01:10.:01:20.

blue. He did manage to pot some of the long balls against Mark Selby.

:01:21.:01:28.

That one has been negotiated. Now it does not matter if it is the lack

:01:29.:01:33.

written pink, because it will go back onto the black spot -- does not

:01:34.:01:39.

matter if it is the black for the pink. Every frame Robertson has been

:01:40.:01:44.

in first, every frame he possibly looks like he could lose.

:01:45.:02:06.

Just have a look at the score, trying to work out if he needs one

:02:07.:02:15.

of the two reds. I think he will be 43 in front. He does not want to

:02:16.:02:24.

make a mistake. Mark Selby did the same thing, where he miss counted

:02:25.:02:30.

and ended up having to play a shot off the black which he should not

:02:31.:02:38.

have been doing. He could move the red, but the fact his red and black

:02:39.:02:46.

will put him in 44 in five, he will relinquish moving the red, because

:02:47.:02:51.

he would normally move it, without question. Nothing wrong with Ronnie

:02:52.:03:04.

O'Sullivan's maths. He can now have a go at this red. If he was 42 in

:03:05.:03:11.

front, he might not have a go at this at pace, but now he can drop

:03:12.:03:15.

this, knowing of the worst can happen is that Robertson can draw.

:03:16.:03:22.

-- knowing that the worst that can happen. APPLAUSE

:03:23.:03:40.

It is a much better performance from Ronnie this evening, than it was

:03:41.:03:46.

this afternoon, but neither player this evening has played anywhere

:03:47.:03:51.

near their best. O'Sullivan will be cock-a-hoop, the fact he has been

:03:52.:03:58.

given chance after chance. Neil Robertson is conceding this one,

:03:59.:04:02.

yes, I think he has. Ronnie O'Sullivan has won the opening four

:04:03.:04:11.

frames, he is two away from victory. STUDIO: Quite remarkable, he was 5-2

:04:12.:04:23.

down, but now leading 7-5, he has won the last five frames in a row,

:04:24.:04:26.

Neil Robertson looks very fragile all of a sudden. It is a battle of

:04:27.:04:32.

wits. Most of the mistakes are rudimentary, missing easy pinks and

:04:33.:04:39.

reds, they are all mental mistakes, they are so wary of each other and

:04:40.:04:42.

the importance of every frame, the pressure they have not been under so

:04:43.:04:46.

far this week, because they have been winning matches fairly

:04:47.:04:50.

comfortably. Neil Robertson has been winning tournaments, you do not

:04:51.:04:52.

expect him to crumble under pressure. No, I would not say he is

:04:53.:04:57.

crumbling, but this is what pressure does, from his perspective, Ronnie

:04:58.:05:02.

is making the same mistakes, but he is getting in at the right time and

:05:03.:05:06.

pinching frames when Neil could have won the matter no earlier juncture.

:05:07.:05:11.

I don't know what Neil's philosophy was, but when you are leading 5-3 in

:05:12.:05:18.

front it is easy to think of the fantasy rather than the reality. The

:05:19.:05:24.

real truth is, into the evening session, you want to think I be

:05:25.:05:28.

prepared for 8-8, he is playing Ronnie O'Sullivan and he is not

:05:29.:05:37.

going to lie down. It is easy to think about the fantasy rather than

:05:38.:05:40.

the relative. What does he think now then? -- the reality. The interval

:05:41.:05:47.

has come at a good time for new Robertson, he has got to regather

:05:48.:05:53.

himself. -- Neil Robertson. As Ronnie did earlier, he has got to

:05:54.:05:58.

win the first frame tonight, and then it is anybody's. Neil Robertson

:05:59.:06:04.

has come out for a bit of practice in the interval, it is about keeping

:06:05.:06:08.

your head. Yes, calmness and pressure, both of them have not

:06:09.:06:14.

really been subjected to any great pressure from their opponents, and

:06:15.:06:17.

this is an unusual situation, they are both putting each other under

:06:18.:06:22.

pressure. They are coming unstuck, but Ronnie having won five frames in

:06:23.:06:27.

a row, all four the seeding committee will be feeling fantastic

:06:28.:06:30.

at the interval and the pressure will be coming off him a little bit

:06:31.:06:37.

-- all four this evening, and he will be feeling fantastic. We can

:06:38.:06:42.

now remind you of a special moment during the quarterfinal between Neil

:06:43.:06:50.

Robertson and Ding Junhui way. Ding with a 147 break, and we can show

:06:51.:06:52.

you exactly how he did it. COMMENTATOR: These balls are

:06:53.:07:08.

perfect. The black is freely available into both corners. Ronnie

:07:09.:07:18.

would straightaway be thinking 147, but it is more important for Ding to

:07:19.:07:24.

stay in the match. Maybe Ronnie would go for a 145 instead! We have

:07:25.:07:28.

had the 146... How funny would it be if someone

:07:29.:07:58.

came along and made the 147? He might do it himself, Ronnie. He is

:07:59.:08:07.

still in. I read an article, someone was offering ?60,000 to Ronnie, if

:08:08.:08:12.

he got one, so he could give some of it to charity. I don't know if that

:08:13.:08:18.

is a true story. It is key here for Ding to get a frame-winning break,

:08:19.:08:23.

to take pressure off him. He would like to win frames easily, to get

:08:24.:08:27.

back into it. Plenty of work to do, but if you can win at one visit you

:08:28.:08:31.

do not get put through so much pressure. It is when you have 40

:08:32.:08:37.

points each and you are playing the last few reds, that is when it puts

:08:38.:08:41.

pressure on you. If you win at one visit, there is no pressure.

:08:42.:09:03.

You probably saw the cue ball bounce, it is not too bad. As the

:09:04.:09:10.

cue ball travel, watch the way the ball bounce. A bit more pace and the

:09:11.:09:15.

cue ball would have bounced a few more inches. I think he's OK to go

:09:16.:09:18.

around the black. He can also go for the opposite

:09:19.:09:35.

corner. A little cannon and he might start thinking about the 147.

:09:36.:09:48.

The reds that are touching above the black, he does not have too play

:09:49.:09:58.

this with pace, because they are split apart, it is not need to do

:09:59.:10:06.

this with too much pace. -- he does not need. Different to what I was

:10:07.:10:18.

thinking, but he is still on a red. Yes, if he was 4-1 up and not 4-1

:10:19.:10:27.

down I'm not sure he would be playing that shot. He would be

:10:28.:10:30.

swinging back down for the black. The fact he is 4-1 down, I would be

:10:31.:10:35.

very surprised if he does not play up for the pink or blue. Well, he

:10:36.:10:46.

has played the running side shot, it is fair to say he has got the

:10:47.:10:48.

maximum on his mind. Ding has made five maximum is

:10:49.:11:16.

already in tournament play. O'Sullivan has 13 now. Once again,

:11:17.:11:25.

he could play a cannon and play for one of the loose once, it doesn't

:11:26.:11:36.

matter which. He might still go on to lose this match. But it will be a

:11:37.:11:42.

confidence booster to get his season back on track. You always need

:11:43.:11:54.

something to get yourself into gear. He is undoubtedly one of the games

:11:55.:11:58.

break break-builders and I don't say that lightly, there are only about

:11:59.:12:09.

five of them, and he is one of them. Yes, without giving him the

:12:10.:12:13.

commentator's curse, the balls are absolutely perfect. Nothing on the

:12:14.:12:16.

side cushions. Neil Robertson cannot win this

:12:17.:12:33.

frame. He will be in his chair, cheering him on. He needs to be high

:12:34.:12:45.

on this. And he is, that is a great shot. If that had been low, that

:12:46.:12:52.

would have been the end of the maximum, but he has gone high. Can

:12:53.:13:00.

he get through the gap to get that red, which will in turn open up the

:13:01.:13:05.

other reds? He would love to do that. He will not risk anything yet.

:13:06.:13:12.

He is not over the winning line yet in this frame.

:13:13.:13:24.

He needs a few more, and then he complained risky shot, if necessary.

:13:25.:13:34.

-- he can play a risky shot. Just a little bounce. He is on the one in

:13:35.:13:37.

the middle. The art of break-building, always

:13:38.:13:49.

get the right angle on the next ball. Ideally he would love to get

:13:50.:14:00.

on two reds. If he can get that little gap in between those reds, to

:14:01.:14:06.

get the other red that is there, he will take that one first, and that

:14:07.:14:10.

is what he has played for. That opens up the other reds and now he

:14:11.:14:13.

does not need to play any case to make a 147. -- any kiss. Yes, if

:14:14.:14:28.

anything, Niall will be cheering him on, he knows he has lost the frame.

:14:29.:14:38.

-- Neil. He has landed a bit straighter, but he has played it

:14:39.:14:42.

well and he is back in a perfect position and this is now turning

:14:43.:14:47.

into a great chance. He is short this time. He can play for the red.

:14:48.:14:58.

He can play with a trace of right-hand side. It is not a nice

:14:59.:15:06.

reds to play at this stage. He opted for the easy option, making

:15:07.:15:24.

the black easy, but this has made this red a bit tricky. He is back in

:15:25.:15:30.

perfect position once again. That is a poor shot. He is on the

:15:31.:15:50.

one in the middle, but that is not the right angle. His face tells a

:15:51.:15:56.

story. Come on, Ding. It is there, well played. That is

:15:57.:16:12.

the first difficult shot he has had to play in this break, that is how

:16:13.:16:16.

good this break has been. That is the first time he was not perfect on

:16:17.:16:18.

a ball. The Cardiff crowd might feel they

:16:19.:16:33.

have been cheated out of a 147 early in the way, but this is now a great

:16:34.:16:42.

chance. -- earlier in the week. He has got a slight angle. He cannot

:16:43.:16:48.

get close to the yellow. He needs to get loads of side on this to widen

:16:49.:16:57.

the angle. Spin. He could get close to the yellow. Kiss Forced a just.

:16:58.:17:03.

-- kiss. Come on, knock this in. Well done. The white is not hard

:17:04.:17:31.

enough, though. He will be faced with another tricky shot with the

:17:32.:17:36.

rest. It is not need to do anything with the cue ball. People come round

:17:37.:17:43.

two cushions. -- he will come. The crowd are smiling and hoping. Those

:17:44.:17:48.

Chinese girls in the front row have got all fingers crossed. Well

:17:49.:18:01.

played. He did not have to do anything with the cue ball.

:18:02.:18:14.

He needs the white to slow down. Slow down. Oh! It is never easy,

:18:15.:18:33.

this game. In and out of baulk, not guarantee to be perfect. --

:18:34.:18:37.

guaranteed. They are praying. Do you just roll it in? That is the

:18:38.:18:50.

choice he's got. Oh! This pink for ?12,000 and a 147,

:18:51.:19:15.

because of this goes in, I'm sure he will pot the black. -- if this.

:19:16.:19:33.

It is there. What a fantastic shot on the pink. Ding has got every

:19:34.:19:44.

chance of making his ticked maximum in competitive play. -- six.

:19:45.:19:56.

Absolutely wonderful. APPLAUSE The crowd are standing, they love

:19:57.:20:00.

him in Cardiff, Ding is back in the match with a 147, but he still

:20:01.:20:05.

trails 4-2, but what an amazing break. Only once did he lose

:20:06.:20:08.

position in that break. First class. STUDIO: He did not win, but that was

:20:09.:20:21.

a memorable day for Ding, and that put him third on the all-time list,

:20:22.:20:25.

level with John Higgins. One O'Sullivan leads the way with 13.

:20:26.:20:34.

Neil Robertson is on three. The remarkable thing, we have not had a

:20:35.:20:38.

century yet in this match, considering we have two of the top

:20:39.:20:42.

players in the world, that was a surprise. Yes, it is the fact, the

:20:43.:20:49.

occasion of the final and they are both trying to win so hard, and

:20:50.:20:51.

there is more pressure out there because of the occasion. They have

:20:52.:20:56.

eminent respect for each other and that is causing extra pressure, I'm

:20:57.:21:01.

sure. At the start of the week, Ronnie made the headlines for his

:21:02.:21:05.

refusal to go for a 147. He made a 146 instead. That is runny for you,

:21:06.:21:13.

but he means business tonight, no doubt -- that is Ronnie. Neil, he

:21:14.:21:19.

desperately needs the next frame to stay in the match. Can he turn it

:21:20.:21:26.

around? Definitely, but if he does not win this, he is at the point of

:21:27.:21:30.

no return. It has turned into a thriller, this final in Cardiff. 5-2

:21:31.:21:37.

down at the start of the evening session, but Ronnie O'Sullivan is

:21:38.:21:42.

now leading 7-5, two frames away from victory.

:21:43.:21:46.

COMMENTATOR: A big turnaround in this match, but there is still a way

:21:47.:21:52.

to go. I wonder if the interval as helped

:21:53.:22:12.

Neil calm down, giving him some time to think -- has helped. It is very

:22:13.:22:16.

difficult to clear your mind sometimes. I would not be surprised

:22:17.:22:24.

if he comes back at Ronnie. Normally very strong. We were discussing,

:22:25.:22:31.

every frame, he was in front in those first four frames in the

:22:32.:22:34.

evening session, and normally you would expect him to win at least

:22:35.:22:42.

three of the first four, when he's in first, but he did not win any of

:22:43.:22:47.

them. He now has his back against the wall, for the first time this

:22:48.:22:48.

week. It was a good attempt, but you don't

:22:49.:24:29.

get anything for close, I'm afraid. These are the kind of shots that

:24:30.:24:32.

Neil Robertson has got to be making now. These are the shots which will

:24:33.:24:37.

give him the confidence that he must have lost. It is not that he has

:24:38.:24:43.

played that bad, but the odd shot he has missed which has been costly.

:24:44.:24:56.

In some ways, we were expecting too much out of these great players

:24:57.:25:14.

coming into this final. Ronnie O'Sullivan has been exceptional this

:25:15.:25:17.

week, everyone acknowledges, but Neil Robertson has been almost as

:25:18.:25:24.

good. Neil has got to be very careful now, from 85 -- 8-5 behind,

:25:25.:25:34.

he would find it very difficult. How is the split? It looks good at

:25:35.:26:21.

first glimpse. The reds are perfect. It is a risk to take the ping, even

:26:22.:27:18.

though it will go on the black spot. -- pink. He played that for the

:27:19.:27:26.

blue, did not want to risk the black in the middle, in case you got the

:27:27.:27:30.

wrong angle, but he will have to do that pretty soon. He cannot win the

:27:31.:27:33.

frame of the blue alone. -- off. That was a quick pot, but after

:27:34.:28:58.

going around the blue, he has soon got to pull out another one. When

:28:59.:29:05.

the pot lands a bit sickly, the players prefer it, but they don't

:29:06.:29:16.

like it too thin -- a bit thinly. APPLAUSE

:29:17.:29:24.

We've said many times in commentary, it is so difficult to win a frame

:29:25.:29:30.

from just blue and baulk colours and this is an example, how tough it is.

:29:31.:29:37.

He would love to get the black on the spot, now he's moving this red

:29:38.:29:44.

away. He can't do it off this one. This will be his seventh blue coming

:29:45.:29:50.

up. I wonder if he will possibly win the frame... I've not seen many

:29:51.:29:56.

frames won from blue alone, but this is a possibility now.

:29:57.:30:22.

Overdone it a little bit this time. Just hold the red there. Didn't have

:30:23.:30:30.

a lot to play with. He likes the challenge. He likes the

:30:31.:30:49.

safety challenge. Sometimes it was a good safety laid against him. When

:30:50.:30:54.

he is in the right frame of mind he can do anything.

:30:55.:31:07.

He is one red away from making that a reality.

:31:08.:31:22.

Not this time, but a lifeline for Neil Robertson.

:31:23.:31:49.

He must have the feeling that he should have been closer to Ronnie

:31:50.:32:02.

O'Sullivan. Is this black available? Very thin in the centre.

:32:03.:32:10.

It is funny, you feel when you are in this place that you've got to go

:32:11.:32:22.

for them anyway but it is not quite like that. 60 points behind.

:32:23.:32:37.

He's not going to get another shot, I should not think.

:32:38.:32:45.

You could say that was very positive. There were easier pot than

:32:46.:32:53.

that but of course the Blackwood have gone on the spot. One of the

:32:54.:33:01.

great things about this game of snooker, every time we visit the

:33:02.:33:07.

table you need to make a decision. You will stand or fall by your

:33:08.:33:20.

decision. That is 11 blues he has taken. He is one away from victory.

:33:21.:34:06.

We've got six frames on the spin. It is tough but he needs just one more

:34:07.:34:12.

frame to win the Welsh Open once again. It just gets better and

:34:13.:34:21.

better. That is six successive frames. Is there a sense of destiny?

:34:22.:34:30.

It is up to him now. He could certainly get over at the finish

:34:31.:34:36.

line quickly. Neil Robertson must feel broken because he could never

:34:37.:34:40.

have expected that to happen to him tonight. He's just going to have to

:34:41.:34:49.

relax and go for it. One error and it could be the match over. He's got

:34:50.:34:53.

to try and do something now to get back into this match. He needs to

:34:54.:35:03.

win all the frames. We are possibly one frame away from a new champion.

:35:04.:35:16.

It has been done before. He was behind in a masters and he came back

:35:17.:35:30.

to when. It has been done. But maybe not tonight. That is the kind of

:35:31.:35:36.

shot he has been knocking in all week.

:35:37.:35:57.

These great players are great when they get into a position to win the

:35:58.:36:05.

match, they usually make a sizeable break. He could certainly get a

:36:06.:36:18.

sizeable lead in this frame. I think that has been the key difference in

:36:19.:36:21.

this match in the first three frames. Did not go into the pack

:36:22.:36:24.

early enough. He could probably leave this red.

:36:25.:36:53.

That is what he's done. Bring another few into play. It looks like

:36:54.:36:56.

he will need to push this through quite hard. He is screwing off them.

:36:57.:37:05.

This is a pressure shot. It is amazing how you see these

:37:06.:37:18.

turnaround. Been in the World Championship many

:37:19.:38:15.

times and of course the player in front starts to defend. It is not

:38:16.:38:22.

just that he is losing frames and losing a good lead.

:38:23.:38:35.

Everything seems a little bit more difficult. Have not lost yet.

:38:36.:38:52.

Neil Robertson beat Andrew Higginson.

:38:53.:39:15.

This is clearly a match-winning opportunity. As always. He has not

:39:16.:39:29.

left himself much. The red is on but the fact the pink has gone where it

:39:30.:39:33.

is, you will need to play it a lot harder than normally. Needs to get

:39:34.:39:35.

top side of the pink. He will be disappointed, the way

:39:36.:40:25.

that he has been playing all week. He came into this final session,

:40:26.:40:28.

back against the wall, trailing 5-3. Can he finish with a century? He's

:40:29.:40:47.

made nine centuries in this magnificent performance, this

:40:48.:40:53.

evening. Made a century in every match so far apart from this one.

:40:54.:40:57.

This could change in a few moments. Not a natural angle. Will need to

:40:58.:41:20.

play a little stunned run through. Unlucky. The crowd deserve a

:41:21.:41:25.

century. They might just get one. He will be so disappointed, he gave

:41:26.:42:03.

them so many different chances and could have won them all. He will be

:42:04.:42:11.

delighted and he will be buzzing inside. If he clears, this will be

:42:12.:42:27.

the fifth break in the tournament. The record was only four. The man is

:42:28.:42:44.

special. So is Neil Robertson, but Ronnie O'Sullivan is the man taking

:42:45.:42:48.

away this trophy. He clears with a magnificent break of 121. Standing

:42:49.:42:54.

of Haixun 01 from this arena. Once again the Welsh Open champion. He

:42:55.:42:59.

has one. Our runner-up, Neil Robertson,

:43:00.:43:50.

commiserations, it was a match that just got away from you. Yes, the

:43:51.:43:58.

first frame was key, I split the reds on 30, if it had happened then

:43:59.:44:04.

it would be a completely different match, but I missed some awkward

:44:05.:44:11.

shots and once he got his tail up and got the momentum of the match it

:44:12.:44:16.

was very hard to wrestle it back from him. He is a terrific front

:44:17.:44:24.

runner and he just pulled away. What was the moment when you felt it was

:44:25.:44:29.

slipping away from you? I was getting the chances, I was getting

:44:30.:44:36.

the long ones, the problem was, that was the first time in the match that

:44:37.:44:45.

I had hit a long ball to get in. You are put under pressure and start to

:44:46.:44:56.

make mistakes. I had enough opportunities and played some

:44:57.:45:03.

terrific stuff. You must be pleased, to this point, with how it has gone.

:45:04.:45:09.

Very pleased getting to the final, it improved as I played. That frame,

:45:10.:45:22.

there is a big difference, there are always momentum changes and that was

:45:23.:45:26.

one of them. I could not wrestle back the momentum. I'm sure you will

:45:27.:45:35.

be back, please show the momentum. -- show your appreciation for the

:45:36.:45:36.

runner-up, Neil Robertson. Many congratulations, you've done it

:45:37.:45:57.

again. I'm obviously delighted but I just want to say well done to Neil

:45:58.:46:05.

Robertson, he has been the best player all season. This guy, his

:46:06.:46:14.

game has really improved so much. He played about 80% today. He's

:46:15.:46:20.

definitely the best player in the world at the moment and I'm just

:46:21.:46:23.

pleased I've been able to compete with him. He's got to earn it. I've

:46:24.:46:38.

got to keep him honest. You had a terrific campaign but to come back

:46:39.:46:44.

to win this, where does this rank for you? The scoreline is kind of

:46:45.:46:51.

irrelevant when you're talking about this plan. I thought, just stay in

:46:52.:47:04.

there. You try to put each other under pressure. The opportunity has

:47:05.:47:10.

come easier. I've had a fantastic week. I struggled at the Masters.

:47:11.:47:18.

Even if I had lost I would still have had a great week. The plans

:47:19.:47:23.

have been amazing and everyone has been great. They have liked having

:47:24.:47:32.

you here and you have equalled John Higgins's record. How does that

:47:33.:47:39.

feel? It would feel better if I got it five times. That must be the aim?

:47:40.:47:49.

To be honest, I feel shattered. I will push for Sheffield, because

:47:50.:47:54.

that is the one everybody wants. Will you play any other tournament

:47:55.:48:00.

is? I am not legible. I will be chilling out. I will go and watch a

:48:01.:48:08.

few exhibitions. I am going to do some work. The crowd have loved you

:48:09.:48:19.

throughout the week. Ronnie O'Sullivan!

:48:20.:48:34.

Now it is time for the trophy and the money.

:48:35.:48:51.

First of all, ladies and gentlemen, receiving a cheque, he has been

:48:52.:49:00.

superb all week, please put your hands together for Neil Robertson.

:49:01.:49:11.

Neil Robertson, ladies and gentlemen.

:49:12.:49:26.

It has all been about this man, the champion of the Welsh Open, it is

:49:27.:49:31.

the Rocket, Ronnie O'Sullivan! Wonderful moment for Ronnie

:49:32.:49:59.

O'Sullivan as photographers line-up to get the photograph of the trophy.

:50:00.:50:10.

You can only wonder how Neil Robertson is feeling. He started so

:50:11.:50:21.

well. I'm sure he would be wary of what he is capable of. I'm sure he

:50:22.:50:26.

could not have dreamt of what happened. Brilliant performance from

:50:27.:50:32.

Ronnie O'Sullivan. Party for Neil Robertson but that is what he can

:50:33.:50:42.

do. Big smile on his face. He was irritated with the way he started

:50:43.:50:52.

the game. He had a chance at 5-2 ahead but Ronnie O'Sullivan kept

:50:53.:50:56.

keeping in touch and keeping pressure on him to see what he could

:50:57.:51:05.

do. He continues to be magnificent. Especially the Masters win. Now he

:51:06.:51:14.

has another ranking title. It defies the logic that after 40 you start

:51:15.:51:20.

slowing down. I've never known any player who was able to do this but

:51:21.:51:24.

he plays with so much freedom at the table. For professional sports men,

:51:25.:51:35.

winning tournament means so much. He has produced his finest form.

:51:36.:51:48.

Everybody is desperate to get autographs and selfies. Some

:51:49.:51:51.

thoughts before we leave, has it been a good tournament? One of the

:51:52.:52:02.

best ever. I've never seen so many scoring frames. You cannot ask for

:52:03.:52:08.

better snooker than this, it is the highest level I have witnessed for a

:52:09.:52:14.

long time, if ever. What has been the highlight? Great to see them

:52:15.:52:22.

getting back to some form. For Ronnie to win the Welsh Open, it is

:52:23.:52:29.

great to see. It has been a masterclass of superb performances

:52:30.:52:34.

throughout this event. It has been everybody's favourite. He has played

:52:35.:52:40.

so well, beating opponents so easily, if you look at the

:52:41.:52:46.

scoreline, another fantastic performance, everybody loves

:52:47.:52:48.

watching Ronnie O'Sullivan at his best and he is at his best. He's

:52:49.:52:55.

been making the headlines from start to finish. Still fabulous at 40,

:52:56.:53:00.

winning the trophy for a record equalling fourth time. Thank you for

:53:01.:53:05.

your company. From all of us, goodbye.

:53:06.:54:08.

I'm raising my game and I WILL come out on top.

:54:09.:54:18.

Bring it on. Bring it on. Bring it on.

:54:19.:54:26.

This time, we're aiming higher than ever before.

:54:27.:54:30.

The Sport Relief season continues with

:54:31.:54:32.

I've kept what happened to me buried away for 50 years.

:54:33.:54:51.

I only want to know if he's all right.

:54:52.:54:53.

My guess is that Anthony was adopted and sent to America.

:54:54.:54:58.

She's spent her whole life trying to find him.

:54:59.:55:04.

I just want to talk to you about my son.

:55:05.:55:06.

He was taken from me and I've been looking for him ever since.

:55:07.:55:10.
