It's the semifinals day at the motor point Arena in Cardiff, a week that

:00:35.:00:42.

began with 128 players, now all eyes on one central stage and just four

:00:43.:00:47.

men with their eyes on the Welsh Open trophy.

:00:48.:01:30.

Two big stars of the modern game and two men hoping to make a name for

:01:31.:01:34.

themselves, rocker Robert Scott Donaldson has seen of two

:01:35.:02:05.

former world top 16 players in Mark King and Mark Davis and a couple of

:02:06.:02:11.

white washes as well, beating Zhou Yuelong 5-0. So what will it mean

:02:12.:02:16.

for each of them to go all the way to the final? For me this would kind

:02:17.:02:25.

of be like winning the Masters, two win this in front of my family and

:02:26.:02:29.

friends would be amazing. He is one of the best young players of the

:02:30.:02:33.

game, everyone knows how good he is. You don't need me to tell you, I

:02:34.:02:37.

just want to buy my own game and enjoy it. Get in a good situation

:02:38.:02:42.

you never know. But it's going to be tough. We will see how it goes. I

:02:43.:02:49.

have a lot of friends and family coming over the weekend so it will

:02:50.:02:54.

be good to have swarmed support. Down to one table, the atmosphere

:02:55.:02:58.

gets better, whenever you play in the final weekend and it should be a

:02:59.:03:03.

really enjoyable experience. It doesn't matter who I am playing, I

:03:04.:03:08.

know what I can do, it's for other people to judge it I have a chance

:03:09.:03:14.

not but am confident. I have not seen him play really, I saw him a

:03:15.:03:18.

bit today but that's about it. He has never really looked like he was

:03:19.:03:21.

going to go through but suddenly maybe a bit of confidence from

:03:22.:03:26.

seeing other unexpected players get through and. He still young, I don't

:03:27.:03:30.

know much about him but he must be a great player to player to get to the

:03:31.:03:35.

stage. It does not matter who I am playing, I out and play my game, try

:03:36.:03:42.

to play as good a shot as I can. I try to play him like how I did,

:03:43.:03:48.

Jackson Page, get in front early and put him under pressure. If I can get

:03:49.:03:55.

off to a good start I fancy myself to win. And a great atmosphere, a

:03:56.:04:00.

packed motor point Arena, this is where it all

:04:01.:04:05.

today is a different day, Robert Milkins has played strong or weak

:04:06.:04:23.

but this is the first time he has been on this match table.

:04:24.:04:34.

You always fancy Judd Trump but Scott Donaldson is playing well.

:04:35.:04:43.

What about Donaldson, does he have much of a hope, much chance? Judd

:04:44.:04:50.

Trump has been there many times, this is the first semifinal for

:04:51.:04:53.

Scott Donaldson but look at it the other way, it's a long time coming,

:04:54.:04:57.

he's in the semifinal and will want to make the most of it. You have two

:04:58.:05:04.

fancy Judd Trump, the way he has been playing. It was a great match

:05:05.:05:09.

between him and Barry Hawkins and he will be feeling fantastic. A packed

:05:10.:05:14.

crowd and in front of the TV cameras, it's almost time for our

:05:15.:05:20.

first semifinal. We are going to join the MC, Rob Walker. Good

:05:21.:05:30.

afternoon ladies and gentlemen, we started on Monday with eight tables

:05:31.:05:36.

and now just one remains, welcome to semifinal Saturday here at the 2017

:05:37.:05:41.

Welsh Open, a brilliant session of lives snooker.

:05:42.:05:52.

Please welcome our player enjoying the best week of his career so far,

:05:53.:06:02.

yesterday he won his first ever ranking event quarterfinal and here

:06:03.:06:06.

he is coming out for his maiden semifinal, what a day and what a

:06:07.:06:08.

moment for Scott Donaldson. And his opponent, arguably the most

:06:09.:06:36.

exciting player of his generation, hereafter that epic quarterfinal

:06:37.:06:40.

against Barry Hawkins, reigning European Masters champion, winner of

:06:41.:06:45.

six ranking events titles so far, ladies and gentlemen, the pride of

:06:46.:06:49.

Bristol, the ace in the pack, Judd Trump.

:06:50.:07:08.

The players are ready and we are ready for our opening semifinal,

:07:09.:07:15.

over to your commentary team, Dominic Dale and Willie Thorne.

:07:16.:07:20.

COMMENTATOR: What a good chance this is for Scott Donaldson to make an

:07:21.:07:27.

impact on this world game, both players have had favourable draws to

:07:28.:07:31.

get to the semifinal stage. Judd Trump is going to be the strong

:07:32.:07:35.

favourite to date, so it is essential Scott makes an LA inroad

:07:36.:07:44.

in the match. -- makes an early inroad in the match. Absolutely.

:07:45.:07:50.

Down to just the one table, brand-new cloth on it so Judd Trump

:07:51.:07:59.

will not be too familiar with it. Scott Donaldson, complete contrast

:08:00.:08:02.

in style to Judd Trump who likes to pot under attack and play briskly,

:08:03.:08:06.

Scott is a more cautious player, good all-round player. Much more

:08:07.:08:13.

steady player than Judd Trump I feel. Turned professional in 2012

:08:14.:08:22.

and made good inroads. The matches he has lost over the last couple of

:08:23.:08:26.

years, he has taken top players to a deciding frame. Over 20 odd

:08:27.:08:33.

centuries in his couple of years as a professional. But more of a safety

:08:34.:08:41.

first player as Dominic just mentioned. And as you can see by

:08:42.:08:42.

that he is not a bad one. Attempted to get that red into the

:08:43.:09:24.

top corner but got the double snitch, so the first opportunity

:09:25.:09:31.

falls to Donaldson. The key to him will be making the most of these

:09:32.:09:34.

opportunities, the black looks like it will go into the right corner,

:09:35.:09:38.

does not have to do too much with the cue ball and the reds are open.

:09:39.:09:41.

Good initial opportunity. As you can see, he is not the

:09:42.:10:05.

tallest. Does not seem to be able to reach this. That's a little bit

:10:06.:10:13.

wobbly, two extensions. Doesn't have to do much with the cue ball. Not

:10:14.:10:21.

keeping very still is the only problem. But perfect, nudging the

:10:22.:10:30.

reds away from the black spot. These are the chances you are going to

:10:31.:10:33.

have to take and take them well, needs to get 60 or 70 every time he

:10:34.:10:36.

gets into a position like this. Black clearly available, the reds

:10:37.:11:14.

have been moved away so would quickly like to get rid of the red

:11:15.:11:24.

and then the black would be available into both pockets. Oh

:11:25.:11:35.

dear. Cannot afford at any stage to miss shots like that. That is true.

:11:36.:11:43.

And he will be well aware of that. It is good for Judd if this red pots

:11:44.:11:56.

because that really does open things up. Just the sort of scoring

:11:57.:12:04.

opportunity he is so dangerous with anomaly. He broke down so many times

:12:05.:12:09.

yesterday in his quarterfinal match on a score around 40, time after

:12:10.:12:16.

time and that will be on his mind. Five times he broke down on 40 or

:12:17.:12:24.

50. Eventually was pretty fortunate to win the match against Barry

:12:25.:12:29.

Hawkins. But he's an unbelievable talent and I am sure everybody

:12:30.:12:34.

watching enjoys watching him. I like how he keeps the crowd entertained

:12:35.:12:43.

at the end of frames. Trying to entertain people and he takes it to

:12:44.:12:45.

the full. Reds and absolutely perfect

:12:46.:13:18.

positions now for a sizeable break. Already the break is 39 and still in

:13:19.:14:21.

an ideal position. Single near any of the conditions, on the practice

:14:22.:14:27.

table he would probably expect to clear the table from here. I think

:14:28.:14:42.

he will get the ball rolling. Probably a touch straight on the

:14:43.:14:50.

black but so many reds in the open. What's available, but nothing into

:14:51.:14:53.

the right-hand corner which is why he had to play that shot quite

:14:54.:15:01.

firmly. Scott Donaldson knows he cannot afford any misses against

:15:02.:15:06.

Judd Trump because that was a relatively straightforward red that

:15:07.:15:10.

he missed, he can me look on and hope Judd Trump breaks down in the

:15:11.:15:15.

next couple of shots, which he did do yesterday on a couple of

:15:16.:15:18.

occasions. This is the one he missed, cannot afford to do that. No

:15:19.:15:26.

bounces off the cushions yet on this table with the new cloth. No, and

:15:27.:15:34.

the conditions playing at a nice place. This is the sort of table and

:15:35.:15:40.

the sort of conditions for a players can make two or three centuries in a

:15:41.:15:45.

row. Ideally he would like to kiss into

:15:46.:16:11.

the pink. No reason now why he cannot go on to make a century.

:16:12.:16:24.

He will equal his target from last season if he makes a century here,

:16:25.:16:32.

39 already this season, 40 altogether last season. And there

:16:33.:16:37.

are another six or seven tournaments, will not get close to

:16:38.:16:41.

the 100 of Neil Robertson but can still get close to 70 odd with the

:16:42.:16:45.

amount of tournaments left. He is one of the game is great to

:16:46.:16:49.

break-builders. Over 420 centuries in his short career.

:16:50.:17:29.

That was a little bit wide but managed to go in. His 40th century

:17:30.:17:44.

this season and in the opening frame of this semifinal. It's Scott

:17:45.:17:46.

Donaldson did not realise he was playing a man in form he now does

:17:47.:17:51.

now. Cannot afford any of those mistakes he made early on in the

:17:52.:17:52.

frame. Are we going to get some naughty

:17:53.:18:09.

snooker now? Not on the brown. Maybe on the blue? Decided to save the

:18:10.:18:21.

naughty snooker for later on in the match. Our fabulous 131, Scott

:18:22.:18:34.

Donaldson missing the red, that was the catalyst, Judd Trump clearing

:18:35.:18:41.

the lot. STUDIO: Great start, welcome to the studio, glad you can

:18:42.:18:44.

spend your Saturday afternoon with us, Darren Morgan with me. Scott

:18:45.:18:50.

Donaldson did not know he was in a semifinal before that then he does

:18:51.:18:55.

now. Ominous signs from the word go already. I watched the match

:18:56.:18:59.

yesterday with Barry Hawkins and Judd Trump kept getting to 40 or 50

:19:00.:19:03.

and breaking down every single time, losing two or three frames he should

:19:04.:19:07.

have won. Ironically the one that he should have lost, the last one, he

:19:08.:19:13.

did win. He was not scoring, kept getting to 40 or 50, one shot and

:19:14.:19:19.

that was the end of it. Scott had a chance in that first frame, it's a

:19:20.:19:22.

big occasion for him so he is allowed to be a little bit nervous.

:19:23.:19:27.

Just come across bridging over the red, he would have hoped for another

:19:28.:19:32.

chance in that frame but that was absolutely superb by Judd Trump. He

:19:33.:19:36.

had to settle down now straightaway. He has not been scoring, has been

:19:37.:19:40.

struggling to score, and then first frame he gets a big break. 131 the

:19:41.:19:47.

break, not the highest of the tournament, Mark Davis got that with

:19:48.:19:51.

the 140 for earlier on. He is used to being in this position, getting

:19:52.:19:58.

to semifinals. You would have thought, you will have thought

:19:59.:20:04.

himself he does not want to break down at 40 or 50 again. He will have

:20:05.:20:09.

his own pressures on. Pressure is only something you can put on

:20:10.:20:13.

yourself and he knows it's a fantastic opportunity to win another

:20:14.:20:17.

ranking event. I think he will be the first to savour how good he has

:20:18.:20:21.

been and how talented he is, you would have expected more on his CV.

:20:22.:20:25.

Not to take anything away from him because his CV is very impressive

:20:26.:20:32.

but he will look at this as a real opportunity, especially with, let's

:20:33.:20:40.

see the bigger names, who have gone. It's all looking good, but a long

:20:41.:20:46.

way to go, best of 11. Obviously, but very young Scott Donaldson it's

:20:47.:20:49.

imperative they get off to a good start, winning best frame of the

:20:50.:20:53.

next just to settle down. Nobody settles down until they have a frame

:20:54.:20:57.

on the board. Let's see if he can do it.

:20:58.:21:01.

COMMENTATOR: exactly right, you do not settle down until you get that

:21:02.:21:12.

first frame on the board. Did not finish top side of the ball

:21:13.:21:49.

-- baulk line. How easy did he make that work? That is the beauty with

:21:50.:21:56.

Judd, generating the back spin with precious little power. He got eight

:21:57.:22:02.

feet of movement there and did not really hit it hard at all. I am

:22:03.:22:07.

surprised he took on the brown to be honest but that is his intent, does

:22:08.:22:10.

not want to get bogged down in safety play with Donaldson, maybe he

:22:11.:22:15.

thinks that is the only way Donaldson can compete with him in

:22:16.:22:18.

this match. Looks like he has decided to play all-out attack.

:22:19.:22:24.

Another excellent shot, unfortunately left himself hammered.

:22:25.:22:25.

One to the extreme right. This is the brown, that shot is

:22:26.:22:41.

always on but a lot of players, the way they play and hit the ball do

:22:42.:22:45.

not get that much reaction out of the cue ball as easily as Judd Trump

:22:46.:22:48.

did they are, he knew that shot was well and his comfort zone so was

:22:49.:22:54.

happy to play it. Having seen it for the second time it actually flicked

:22:55.:22:58.

to the green which took some pace out of it otherwise it would have

:22:59.:23:01.

been another foot further up the table. Little bit of work for the

:23:02.:23:06.

referee to do. Belgian. Very good referee. Using his ball marker to

:23:07.:23:16.

replace the red in a moment 's time. Just trying to decide if the pink

:23:17.:23:22.

will be in a straight line, if it is not it will go behind the bunch of

:23:23.:23:31.

reds. Can he get it in there? Just look at this. The hands of a

:23:32.:23:32.

surgeon. APPLAUSE

:23:33.:23:43.

Are very welcome round of applause. Very hampered as you can see. The

:23:44.:24:16.

cue ball will go perilously close to the side cushion. Not straight

:24:17.:24:29.

forward to get onto a red, onto a colour here, the pink out of

:24:30.:24:34.

commission completely. The black is available in the right-hand corner.

:24:35.:24:37.

Will be interesting to see how he plays this. Has played into the

:24:38.:24:43.

bunch to free the pink which is a bit dangerous I would suggest. That

:24:44.:24:58.

group of Marines and the pink or so tightly packed, he needed to get

:24:59.:25:02.

them with greater pace I feel. Definitely just a safety shot now. I

:25:03.:25:07.

don't think even Judd Trump could find anything from here to keep the

:25:08.:25:08.

break going. I would think he would play to get

:25:09.:25:28.

into the cue ball a bit more. He's done remarkably well.

:25:29.:26:56.

That's a great safety from Scott Donaldson. I wonder if Judd Trump

:26:57.:27:11.

will attempt the red? Should not be a problem to roll up to the red

:27:12.:27:15.

which is just behind the black on this top condition. But he has

:27:16.:27:19.

designs on putting this red it seems. He knew he could get the cue

:27:20.:27:28.

ball back towards baulk with the screw shot. Has he left this red on?

:27:29.:27:53.

Did not get the desired back spin that time. No easy misses here, you

:27:54.:28:06.

have the chance of lowering the score.

:28:07.:28:17.

Has to really get into this to get around that gap, the two reds on the

:28:18.:28:28.

right-hand side. I agree, cannoning was not a good option, playing at

:28:29.:28:34.

the PC did the cue ball was always going to run through them. Good

:28:35.:28:42.

recovery pot. That's finished nicely on the yellow. That was excellent. I

:28:43.:28:50.

thought he was going to play the red he was closest to that sorted one

:28:51.:28:51.

out there. The last thing you wanted was to be

:28:52.:29:26.

short, could have hit that with another foot of running. The pot is

:29:27.:29:37.

still all, but the only opportunity has is to screw off the pink and get

:29:38.:29:45.

back up towards the blue and the baulk colours. Could play the same

:29:46.:29:54.

shot and screw off them. This is a bit dangerous. Well done. Got in

:29:55.:30:07.

trouble twice but out of trouble twice. Can he make it pay this time?

:30:08.:30:25.

World, by sheer virtue of the fact that he has managed to extricate

:30:26.:30:31.

himself from a couple of differences in this break, it should give him

:30:32.:30:37.

some confidence... Still in an excellent position. Looking at the

:30:38.:30:43.

angle he's got on the black, you will probably face the red just

:30:44.:30:49.

below, now. The angle of that black to play a Cannell on to those reds,

:30:50.:30:58.

gently, a choice of reds in either corner -- play a cannon.

:30:59.:31:08.

Yes, I think that if he plays this slightly harder, more than gentle,

:31:09.:31:15.

he will push them out the way. He will have a choice of reds, as you

:31:16.:31:20.

mentioned. But do not miss the black on the spot, whatever you do. He

:31:21.:31:24.

concentrated so hard on playing the aggressive cannon. This easy shot in

:31:25.:31:31.

the second frame, that cost him. Judd Trump will not be different to

:31:32.:32:19.

any other great champion in this game, he would recognise that if you

:32:20.:32:23.

can capitalise from that mistake in Scott Donaldson, it could really

:32:24.:32:28.

hurt him. Putting maximum effort into this, to win the frame from

:32:29.:32:29.

here. Purposely playing for the black, the

:32:30.:32:47.

fact that Judd Trump is left-handed rather than right-handed, he may

:32:48.:32:51.

decide to kiss this red off the cushion. A right-handed player may

:32:52.:32:55.

not have bothered to move the red but he knew that he would be bound

:32:56.:33:01.

to be on two reds at least, he played that cannon perfectly. Now,

:33:02.:33:03.

the frame is there for the taking. There have been some complaints this

:33:04.:33:48.

week about how the table was pinging a little, not playing at its best

:33:49.:33:52.

but the table looks to be playing absolutely beautifully now, I know

:33:53.:33:55.

that they've putting new cloth on, I do not know about cushions, but the

:33:56.:34:02.

cloth is new, there is the one-table situation. They have the arena to

:34:03.:34:07.

themselves, a packed crowd again. Considering some of the strange

:34:08.:34:10.

results that we have had, the crowd has stayed with the tournament and

:34:11.:34:14.

still have the chance of getting at least one of the top four or five

:34:15.:34:16.

players in the final, if not two. That black puts Judd Trump 35 ahead,

:34:17.:34:38.

as you can see. 35 points remaining, just this red to make his frame

:34:39.:34:44.

absolutely safe... Perilously close to the green! It's OK, that red has

:34:45.:34:52.

gone in. Now it is virtually certain that it will be 2-0 to Judd Trump.

:34:53.:35:18.

A very adventurous attempts to get onto the green... Did not cannon the

:35:19.:35:29.

blue, will he try and double power hit this bottom one into the corner?

:35:30.:35:39.

A treble, a quadruple... No, not quite, but I'm sure Donaldson will

:35:40.:35:45.

remain in his chair. He does so in deed. A 55 break from Judd Trump.

:35:46.:35:52.

Enough to secure the second frame. This is the best of 11 semifinal.

:35:53.:36:00.

Statistics show what a talent this young man is, Judd Trump. He has

:36:01.:37:02.

been gifted the first two frames. Donaldson missed a frame in the

:37:03.:37:08.

first set which cost him a break from 131, and then in the second he

:37:09.:37:13.

was cost 55. If you were not watching, this is the black he

:37:14.:37:17.

missed. Bread and butter shots here. If you just walked into your home

:37:18.:37:20.

and thought that Judd Trump was running away with it 2-0, it could

:37:21.:37:25.

well have been 2-0 the other way because of the two chances he had

:37:26.:37:29.

were very good with reds all over the place. I'm worried, if he does

:37:30.:37:34.

not get a foothold, or a frame, I would be worried about the match

:37:35.:37:38.

running away from him completely. The way the two frames have gone,

:37:39.:37:43.

it's beginning to be about Donaldson's thought processes now,

:37:44.:37:47.

been dwelling so much on those two mistakes he made, and he knows that

:37:48.:37:54.

Judd Trump is playing well. A little uncomfortable for young Scott

:37:55.:37:59.

Donaldson, playing someone like Judd , who can steam roller you. So, Judd

:38:00.:38:10.

Trump should be pleased with his form so far. Frame three getting

:38:11.:38:11.

underway... This safety shot is not very easy,

:38:12.:39:35.

playing the red to the right of the pack, with the baulk, he has two

:39:36.:39:38.

avoid a kiss on the brown, otherwise he would leave a red on, and make

:39:39.:39:43.

sure that he gets at least three or four inches away from the baulk

:39:44.:39:47.

cushion, to leave the pot on. Looking at alternatives now to

:39:48.:39:51.

safety. I don't know if he is thinking about playing off jaws, but

:39:52.:39:55.

if you kiss the brown on the way back, it is no good. Straight up and

:39:56.:40:02.

down, the cue ball gets within three inches of it. It hasn't, I can only

:40:03.:40:16.

see the red. Yes, dead straight as well. Running through with a blue

:40:17.:40:23.

here. I can tell from experience whenever there is a red in front of

:40:24.:40:26.

the bold colours, it is ever so hard to play safety well. When the red

:40:27.:40:31.

isn't, you don't get problems in reaching the baulk cushion at other

:40:32.:40:36.

times -- the baulk colours. That red is difficult to hide. It is like the

:40:37.:40:42.

subconscious saying, do not overhit it, rather than get down with

:40:43.:40:47.

freedom. It is, you have to say, hit it hard enough, and don't say leave

:40:48.:40:53.

it short. That word, "Don't" is negative. Get to the baulk

:40:54.:41:03.

cushion... I think it is a good point, coming up with those players

:41:04.:41:07.

playing in their clubs, it's not about getting on that cushion,

:41:08.:41:10.

rather than using the baulk cushion, make sure that you get to the top.

:41:11.:41:15.

They little harder so it comes on and off the cushion at times, is

:41:16.:41:20.

better than leaving it short. Judd Trump played an aggressive pack, it

:41:21.:41:25.

is still OK even though it did not bring in that many reds. It is an

:41:26.:41:29.

asset, being able to play with both hands. Ronnie O'Sullivan is another

:41:30.:41:38.

one who changes hands. Now, you can see the reason why he did not adjust

:41:39.:41:42.

that pays very well, it has left him hampered -- pace. It does not look

:41:43.:41:54.

quite as comfortable as Ronnie, in swapping his hands, he is more than

:41:55.:41:58.

capable at knocking the ball is in. An asset. So many players these days

:41:59.:42:06.

show greater dexterity. A couple of decades ago, very few players can my

:42:07.:42:11.

thinking your day, Dennis Taylor was really the only one... The only one

:42:12.:42:17.

who would play left-handed. I can't make 20 right-handed now, I've not

:42:18.:42:24.

played for 16 years! Purposely left the red into the yellow pocket,

:42:25.:42:29.

playing one shot nothing. Go back five or six inches, it could be a

:42:30.:42:33.

red in the middle, if he misses this. The reason he played like that

:42:34.:42:39.

is because in case he misses, he has that available in the middle. He

:42:40.:42:43.

knew that he would miss it, that one in the middle, he played a much more

:42:44.:42:48.

difficult shot, going around those two cushions, and it is 1-0.

:42:49.:42:49.

Re-enter. -- brilliant. If he can get this red, he can

:42:50.:43:19.

naturally go around the back of the black. He needs a long rest... Long

:43:20.:43:30.

rest, long spider. Surely he will have a try with the long spider, to

:43:31.:43:33.

see if he will be slightly more comfortable? I think you can see

:43:34.:43:46.

just enough of the cue ball, to go just around the back? But he does

:43:47.:43:50.

not fancy it. I think he is still tempted by that red, if he knocks it

:43:51.:43:55.

in, he would be on the black. Is he trying to cut it in? There is a red

:43:56.:44:00.

roughly by the pink spot that would cut into the right corner but it is

:44:01.:44:05.

so thin. Finally deciding that discretion is part of valour. He

:44:06.:44:11.

knows that Scott Donaldson has been keeping hold in these first two

:44:12.:44:14.

frames, and still feeling uncomfortable. He does not want to

:44:15.:44:19.

give him a free opportunity to give himself some confidence by making a

:44:20.:44:20.

break. We've seen in the opening frames

:44:21.:44:44.

that his safety department is perfect. Just having to get in, and

:44:45.:44:54.

score. Now, the good safety he played has caused an error. I think

:44:55.:44:58.

this red for part one next to the pink, will it

:44:59.:45:04.

spot the red? It is tight, too tight. -- I think this red for a

:45:05.:45:11.

pot. The perfect result. It is very

:45:12.:45:30.

unlikely deliberately leaving that cue ball two feet off the baulk

:45:31.:45:35.

cushion. He can rest into that little group of five reds, he gets

:45:36.:45:40.

the pace right, should not leave an easy pot for his opponent.

:45:41.:46:02.

That's very fortunate. You have to take my word for it, he did not play

:46:03.:46:09.

to hit that red. He played two cushions to rest on the one on the

:46:10.:46:14.

back cushion. He had a look at this one on a previous visit, it

:46:15.:46:19.

definitely pots near that left-handed jaw, that is available.

:46:20.:46:24.

It will only go if you play it at a medium pace. I think that you can

:46:25.:46:28.

roll through for raping grey black. Most play the stun shot come he will

:46:29.:46:32.

for sitting, squeeze it in of the jaw.

:46:33.:46:35.

-- I think you can roll through, the grey and the black. Most play the

:46:36.:46:54.

stun shot, he will force it in. Squeeze it in off the jaw.

:46:55.:47:28.

Getting the speed of that one perfect. He can go through the gap

:47:29.:47:38.

of the reds now. Going this way into the corner. When Scott came to the

:47:39.:47:43.

table, he was 30 points in arrears, he has ground to make up in this

:47:44.:47:47.

third frame. It is a big one for him. Having to lose this frame as

:47:48.:47:50.

well, that would be real trouble. The rate to the left of the pink

:47:51.:48:07.

will pot into the left-hand corner but he would be running away from

:48:08.:48:11.

the red if he plays one cushion -- that red. Judd Trump or bounce this

:48:12.:48:23.

black, going into the bunch. Dangerous play in this way, if you

:48:24.:48:28.

don't get the correct angle, you put yourself in trouble for no reason.

:48:29.:48:39.

Not sure if the pink will go through the gap of those reds in that

:48:40.:48:40.

corner... You cannot afford not to score

:48:41.:48:59.

heavily against Judd Trump. He might pot the black, but give himself

:49:00.:49:04.

plenty to do. That's because he refused to go into that bunch. Now

:49:05.:49:09.

he's faced with a long blue, or a very thin black. He appears to have

:49:10.:49:24.

sorted the pink in the middle. That is there, well played. It has

:49:25.:49:32.

escaped... And an excellent pink, as you can see. Spread ball, getting

:49:33.:49:37.

those into open play. OK, he might need those two reds why the

:49:38.:49:43.

left-hand cushion, but he can get a sizeable lead going into the

:49:44.:49:49.

business end of the third frame. He cannot afford an easy miss now.

:49:50.:50:19.

This is Scott's best efforts to date. Took a bit of a risk, trying

:50:20.:50:37.

to develop the red. He has some awkward ones, because the pink was

:50:38.:50:41.

not available, we do not know whether it was the right shot to

:50:42.:50:43.

play. It's been a little bit of a

:50:44.:51:04.

nightmare for him at the moment. He's not happy with that, pushing

:51:05.:51:09.

the boat but as Dominik mentioned, he played the case on the red. If

:51:10.:51:17.

the pink had been available... But it was not. He's only been a pro two

:51:18.:51:22.

years, he's never got to the semifinal stage of the tournament

:51:23.:51:25.

before, he had some good wins, especially in the quarterfinal.

:51:26.:51:30.

Already, he has had three or four great chances to win a frame in this

:51:31.:51:38.

match so far. Luckily, he did not leave an easy pot at that time...

:51:39.:51:55.

This will be a test for young Scott Donaldson... Ordinarily, would enjoy

:51:56.:52:09.

playing that shot because it was dangerous but he had to take it on.

:52:10.:52:17.

Judd is now eyeing up the safety shot.

:52:18.:52:31.

If at first glance you thought it was a poor shot to make contact with

:52:32.:52:38.

the brown, he had to hit the red virtually full ball because it could

:52:39.:52:42.

be typed on the baulk cushion, whatever case he got on the brown,

:52:43.:52:46.

he would have been unlucky to get it in the middle. This is a tricky

:52:47.:52:56.

situation for Scott now... Very thin, almost putting it in the

:52:57.:53:00.

left-hand corner pocket. The cue ball goes close to the yellow...

:53:01.:53:08.

What a good pot. Very good, excellent, a bit of bounce, though.

:53:09.:53:15.

He played the pot, he probably would have wished, having potted it, he

:53:16.:53:23.

got the yellow full ball. But this is very tricky. With the cloth being

:53:24.:53:32.

so fine now, with that distance, it is so hard to roll up, isn't it?

:53:33.:53:38.

Yes, certainly, you need a good touch on the first game. And set

:53:39.:53:42.

yourself a target with that kind of shot. You need to think, OK, I want

:53:43.:53:47.

that yellow to me a centimetre or an inch. And play the shot. Sometimes

:53:48.:53:52.

you roll up to the ball but no absolute target, the target is to

:53:53.:53:55.

reach it and not commit a foul but there is no definite shot played. It

:53:56.:54:00.

can help when you are under pressure, give yourself a target,

:54:01.:54:05.

move that yellow and inch. -- move the yellow and

:54:06.:54:15.

-- an inch. Look as if he can get that gap, eaters not want to make

:54:16.:54:22.

contact on the left-hand side cushion. He's not planning to hit

:54:23.:54:25.

that one but the one nearest the pocket. Mind you, why would he play

:54:26.:54:32.

it at that speed? Foul. You deserve to lose a frame when you play a shot

:54:33.:54:34.

like that... Maybe that is why we love him so

:54:35.:54:49.

much, he is adventurous but that is why he loses a lot of the friends

:54:50.:54:56.

that he should not. -- a lot of the frames. There is no need to play a

:54:57.:55:01.

hit and hope shot. That could have rolled up to something, I'm sure.

:55:02.:55:40.

Scott Donaldson will need all three remaining reds to win the frame from

:55:41.:55:49.

here, he has plenty of work to do. No matter what happens, he will

:55:50.:55:56.

certainly be well in this third frame with a sizeable lead, if he

:55:57.:55:58.

does break down. This would have been a tough shot

:55:59.:56:14.

yesterday on the cloth, it had been on for a few days, putting and

:56:15.:56:18.

screwing it back. With a slight angle he could have punted it out of

:56:19.:56:23.

the frontal middle pocket. It has been demonstrated, screwing it in,

:56:24.:56:27.

play a stun run through the choice of brown or pink, but whatever he

:56:28.:56:30.

should have done, it should have been better than that... That is the

:56:31.:56:34.

worst shot that he has played today. Trying to pass the black on the top

:56:35.:56:49.

side to leave it on but he caught this instead. Using his intelligence

:56:50.:56:55.

and putting a high value colour safe to make things awkward for Judd, now

:56:56.:56:57.

he has a 17 point lead. Judd will be moving one of the reds

:56:58.:57:51.

away from the cushion, probably the white behind the black, but he needs

:57:52.:57:55.

to be careful as the red will remain in the middle of the table. Playing

:57:56.:57:59.

one into the baulk area, but he decides to move this one into

:58:00.:58:11.

play... Judge could find himself tucked in behind the brown here,

:58:12.:58:15.

very easily. Don't expect Scott to mess this one up... -- Judd could

:58:16.:58:21.

find himself tucked in behind the brown here.

:58:22.:58:44.

Scott Donaldson can consider himself lucky. We don't know what went wrong

:58:45.:58:49.

with that previous shot, a simple roll up behind the brown. Normally,

:58:50.:58:54.

when you make that mistake, the keyboard deviates from its true

:58:55.:59:05.

course. -- the key ball deviates. Red, obviously, cutting. Time that

:59:06.:59:12.

angle on the blue or the yellow to bring the other red into play. At

:59:13.:59:15.

the moment, he is finding it tough out there.

:59:16.:00:49.

That doesn't make any difference to this young man. We'll bring the red

:00:50.:00:57.

and he has. This is excellent, right into the heart the pocket. If the

:00:58.:01:05.

yellow goes in he will be moving the red. A chance for Judd Trump to

:01:06.:01:13.

pinch the frame. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that Scott

:01:14.:01:16.

Donaldson could have been at least 2-1 in front. Very shortly he could

:01:17.:01:18.

be 3-0 behind. Could be an important shot that

:01:19.:01:36.

Scott Donaldson played earlier when he put the bank near the right-hand

:01:37.:01:39.

side cushion because Judd is going to need it now. -- put the pink.

:01:40.:01:51.

Already in his mind he is trying to port the yellow and green to get a

:01:52.:01:55.

handle on the brown. It's all about this shot. Can he get

:01:56.:02:12.

nicely on the brown to get a nice angle on the blue? This is odd Judd

:02:13.:02:20.

Trump is, might pot the brown in the middle and try and move the pink. We

:02:21.:02:33.

know he's a very aggressive player. Just trying to make sure the

:02:34.:02:48.

brown... He is back in the frame. Luckily he was so close to this

:02:49.:02:52.

brown method came right back down towards the cushion towards this

:02:53.:02:58.

pink so it's fairly safe. Scott Donaldson doesn't need the pink

:02:59.:03:03.

either at the moment. What shot will he play here? Would try anything too

:03:04.:03:13.

cute. Tricky shot. Has he left an angle on the brown for Judd to screw

:03:14.:03:17.

straight into the pink and develop it? Cannot quite get into it enough

:03:18.:03:25.

I don't think, what a terrible shot he has got there. Whatever you do,

:03:26.:03:34.

do not leave the brown on. The fact he is left-handed, the pink is no

:03:35.:03:39.

good where it is, he may risk having to play to try to move it.

:03:40.:03:47.

If he had been right-handed he would have tried to drop on that because

:03:48.:03:54.

he only needed the pink. Now, will he play a double? It's not quite on.

:03:55.:03:59.

I think the key thing here is to play a good safety.

:04:00.:04:13.

Trying to get a good white and he's done that. The way the pink has

:04:14.:04:21.

finished I think he must have played the double. Not many players would,

:04:22.:04:27.

I had the feeling he is the sort of chap to take that sort of thing on.

:04:28.:04:33.

Why it was a dominant factor in his thoughts I think, it has turned out

:04:34.:04:39.

pretty safe. That sort of cross shot was on first got to get down the

:04:40.:04:43.

table for the black but he hit it so thickly he has left the pink on here

:04:44.:04:50.

for Judd and that is all he needs. I am very worried first got, he knows

:04:51.:04:57.

he should have won at least three of these frames. Missed easy balls in

:04:58.:05:02.

at least three of them. Just has to hold himself together. Without doing

:05:03.:05:14.

anything, Judd Trump has taken that frame. He now leads 3-0. Worrying

:05:15.:05:23.

times for Scott Donaldson. STUDIO: Worrying for Scott Donaldson as Judd

:05:24.:05:27.

Trump takes a break, that was the one that got away as far as the

:05:28.:05:31.

young Ricky is concerned. It is not going to plan at the minute. He had

:05:32.:05:37.

a good chance in the first frame, great chance in the second frame,

:05:38.:05:45.

and then in this frame he had the game in his control and played a

:05:46.:05:50.

short, this shot we can see on the red to move a read off the side

:05:51.:05:55.

cushion when he was in control, the pink did not go into the corner and

:05:56.:05:59.

he's played an awkward blue which he has missed. It has cost him. He did

:06:00.:06:04.

not need to move that red, there were enough out in the open. He was

:06:05.:06:10.

in total control. Took a big risk and it did not pay off. He was not

:06:11.:06:19.

making these mistakes yesterday when he got a 5-0 over Zhou Yuelong. Is

:06:20.:06:25.

it nervous? Probably a little bit. He will be getting up tight and

:06:26.:06:29.

starting to panic a little bit because the match is getting away

:06:30.:06:33.

from him. Whatever happens he needs to win one before the interval, 4-0

:06:34.:06:39.

there is no way back, not against the pedigree of Judd Trump. Let's

:06:40.:06:47.

show you some examples of some Trump play, you wanted to pick out less.

:06:48.:06:54.

He is in full confident mode. He is unfortunate on this black, this

:06:55.:06:58.

black was 430 and he was unlucky the cue ball has gone behind the pink,

:06:59.:07:02.

if he had got to the red I would have fancied him there and then. The

:07:03.:07:13.

difficult thing for Donaldson, everybody wants Trump to play well,

:07:14.:07:17.

they want to be entertained by him and wants him to win, how do you

:07:18.:07:25.

deal with that in your head? I can only go from my personal experience,

:07:26.:07:28.

I used to sit in the chair thinking I will show you what, it used to

:07:29.:07:33.

inspire me to dig deep and give me that age to play well. He has a big

:07:34.:07:41.

task ahead of him but he's a much better player than what his results

:07:42.:07:43.

suggest. COMMENTATOR: Young Scott Donaldson

:07:44.:07:56.

breaking off. Does not have his first frame on the board but has had

:07:57.:08:04.

good opportunities. If he does not win this remaining frame before they

:08:05.:08:07.

go through their mid-session interval cup of tea he will be

:08:08.:08:11.

feeling very uncomfortable. Need something just to get things going

:08:12.:08:18.

and give him some confidence. He will not have any at the moment I

:08:19.:08:20.

don't think. I do not blame him at all for going

:08:21.:08:55.

for it. He has left a gift for Judd Trump. Nothing wrong with the

:08:56.:09:10.

attempt at Newport, but like I say, unlucky to get the double kiss.

:09:11.:09:24.

If you catch an edge, these pockets are so tough.

:09:25.:10:12.

I have a feeling he was eyeing up the maximum before he even potted

:10:13.:10:22.

the first red. Absolutely. Scott, you have had a chance in every frame

:10:23.:10:26.

so far, and a good chance, please make this one pay. I do not wish

:10:27.:10:32.

anybody to get absolutely really beaten badly in the first semifinal.

:10:33.:10:44.

Let the crowd see what he can do. What has he played there?

:10:45.:10:59.

He has played to miss the pink but it made contact. Now he is making 60

:11:00.:11:13.

and 70 all day yesterday when he is in this position, can he do it this

:11:14.:11:15.

time. You can see the shake of his head,

:11:16.:12:09.

played for the black there. Drafted by the other red. Luckily for him

:12:10.:12:25.

the pink is available. Well done, good recovery.

:12:26.:13:17.

Once again Scott has made a positional error, he is too short on

:13:18.:13:26.

this red. He will now probably be running into this other red and not

:13:27.:13:29.

be quite sure where the cue ball is going to stop.

:13:30.:13:41.

Like UI for the contact was a little bit thin, did not think you'd get on

:13:42.:13:52.

the black as nicely he has. This is a big disadvantage, being one of the

:13:53.:13:55.

shorter players in the game, having to use the rest. I think it is a bit

:13:56.:14:12.

thinner than it looks on-screen, is really struggling to reach this. It

:14:13.:14:19.

is now unmissable if he's using the rest, and the spider. It would not

:14:20.:14:24.

be admissible if he was able to just cue it. -- it would not be missable.

:14:25.:14:36.

He would not be on my bowling team either, tried to throw his extension

:14:37.:14:44.

into the corner and only got half way. It's pulled up a little bit.

:14:45.:14:58.

Just pulled up a fraction of the last second. A few finger marks near

:14:59.:15:07.

that right-hand corner which I think could have helped him out a little

:15:08.:15:11.

bit. But the pace he played it, probably would have gone in any way.

:15:12.:15:17.

The match time reaches one hour, already well into the fourth frame

:15:18.:15:21.

before the mid-session interval. If Scott did win this frame from here

:15:22.:15:27.

to get his name on the board I think he would still be disappointed going

:15:28.:15:30.

for his cup of tea because he's had the first good score making

:15:31.:15:37.

opportunities in the first couple of friends. On another day he probably

:15:38.:15:42.

would have expected himself to be 3-1 up.

:15:43.:16:00.

I would play the cannon into the one above the black, Justice Lowell

:16:01.:16:10.

cannon. If you play the four red cannon you could snooker yourself on

:16:11.:16:20.

the two reds which are loose. Needed to fight to stay where the red is.

:16:21.:16:26.

-- the to stay where the red S. Scott Donaldson's league goes to 58

:16:27.:17:22.

points. -- lead. We'll be feeling a lot better as things are right now

:17:23.:17:29.

because this break goes to 60. That alone will make him feel good.

:17:30.:17:35.

Finally looks like making a sizeable opportunity and winning a frame from

:17:36.:17:37.

a reasonable opportunity. Can he make a century break? That'll

:17:38.:17:50.

make him feel a lot better. Because then when he comes back out after

:17:51.:17:54.

the interval he will feel he has got every chance to keep that momentum

:17:55.:17:58.

going and reduces arrears still further. Then he will be right back

:17:59.:18:00.

in the match. Can he dropped this red into the

:18:01.:18:19.

centre? We himself a nice angle on the blue? The red does not go in but

:18:20.:18:32.

he is 74 points ahead, too much for Judd Trump to do anything about so

:18:33.:18:37.

Scott Donaldson has his first frame on the board but still trails 3-1.

:18:38.:18:44.

STUDIO: Donaldson will be wide of the break and he might for some

:18:45.:18:50.

practice and maybe Judd Trump as well, who knows? This has been great

:18:51.:18:53.

stuff from Judd Trump, how do you see it? Judd Trump is going to enjoy

:18:54.:19:01.

his mid-session cup of tea and biscuit or whatever a lot more than

:19:02.:19:06.

Donaldson, but that was a big frame for him, he had to win that to have

:19:07.:19:08.

any chance in this match. Judd a black. To be fair, Scott had a

:19:09.:19:27.

couple of lapses in positional play, he made a good pot to get right back

:19:28.:19:31.

in and hit a good 75 to secure the frame. When you are 3-1 down in the

:19:32.:19:40.

interval, what do you do, go into the corner to gather your thoughts

:19:41.:19:44.

or come up here to try and not worry about things and practice? Different

:19:45.:19:49.

players do things differently, if it had been 4- seed or he probably

:19:50.:19:53.

would be up your practising but now I probably don't think so, he will

:19:54.:20:00.

relax and have his cup of tea and have chat with whoever is down here

:20:01.:20:04.

with him, his manager or coach, and get together for after the interval.

:20:05.:20:10.

3-1 against 4- Segal is a massive difference. Let's move the focus

:20:11.:20:16.

from the elite level of the game for just a minute to show you how more

:20:17.:20:21.

opportunities are being created for people with disabilities to take up

:20:22.:20:27.

cue sports. Earlier this week we featured a tournament in Gloucester

:20:28.:20:31.

which was a showcase for six of the eight disability classification is

:20:32.:20:35.

including wheelchair players and amputees. In just a year the number

:20:36.:20:40.

of participants in these events has doubled as access grows and word

:20:41.:20:42.

spread about the opportunities to compete. We caught up with some

:20:43.:20:49.

players for the second century impairment developed in Hull. We're

:20:50.:21:02.

reaching to sorts of organisations and what we want is for them to help

:21:03.:21:07.

us to find people who want to play this great sport and we have coaches

:21:08.:21:11.

that will help them and get them involved in the game. I have tunnel

:21:12.:21:17.

vision, every shot I play is genuinely into a blind pocket so I

:21:18.:21:24.

have two players best I can. Players with different eye conditions have

:21:25.:21:28.

different impairments and things they have to judge so it's a

:21:29.:21:31.

challenge for us all to use the best of our abilities. I lost my eye in a

:21:32.:21:39.

shooting accident when I was ten years old so I only know how to play

:21:40.:21:44.

with one eye. Joe Davis was world champion with one eye for multiple

:21:45.:21:50.

years, so I don't see it as a disability. I have played most of my

:21:51.:21:58.

life, I have been playing for the snooker team for 35 years, playing

:21:59.:22:03.

against hearing people. I really enjoy it. Deaf people can

:22:04.:22:15.

participate because it's open for anyone. Like the name suggests it

:22:16.:22:22.

open for anybody. Slightly longer term we want to go

:22:23.:23:23.

abroad, the long-term aspiration is to get snooker into the Paralympics

:23:24.:23:27.

so we need another 11 countries involved so it's a long road to go

:23:28.:23:31.

down but hopefully at the end we can get snooker back into the

:23:32.:23:36.

Paralympics. We will keep an eye on how developments go, it was part of

:23:37.:23:42.

the Paralympics from 1960 to 1988, should it be back in it? It'd be a

:23:43.:23:49.

great incentive? I learnt that earlier on, I was not aware of that.

:23:50.:23:56.

It's got to be a good thing. It's funny, in the BT, Paul Smith, he was

:23:57.:24:04.

playing on the amateur scene. When I was playing amateur before I turned

:24:05.:24:08.

professional. It's great to see him still competing and playing, nice

:24:09.:24:15.

guy and a great player. They want to get cue sports into the Olympics,

:24:16.:24:20.

they are going to have a crack for 2024 after failing for 2020, should

:24:21.:24:25.

they be trying to get snooker in the Olympics? I think so, my

:24:26.:24:29.

understanding is that they have been trying for many years and only

:24:30.:24:33.

amateur scene as well, they will have a lot more countries taking

:24:34.:24:43.

part because it has to be a worldwide sport and my understanding

:24:44.:24:46.

in the early days was they had to take all cue sports and there are so

:24:47.:24:48.

many disciplines, eight ball, 9-ball, billiards, snooker, it's a

:24:49.:24:53.

lot of disciplines to take on board. Unless they have now individually

:24:54.:24:58.

gone and they can take less of them, but it will be hard to get them in.

:24:59.:25:04.

Not everyone is keen to see snooker as part of the Olympics because

:25:05.:25:08.

ultimately the Olympics are to be the pinnacle of your sport, the

:25:09.:25:12.

ultimate thing you aim for and with the Olympics ever be the pinnacle in

:25:13.:25:19.

snooker? It is all about the World Championships, but in all sports, if

:25:20.:25:24.

you say to someone, do you wonder what all championship medal in

:25:25.:25:27.

Olympics or an Olympic medal they would say they would the Olympic

:25:28.:25:32.

gold. It's because at the moment we have is a World Championship and the

:25:33.:25:36.

other ranking events, I am sure if the Olympics was as big, on the same

:25:37.:25:42.

playing field everyone would want the Olympic gold. Ronnie O'Sullivan

:25:43.:25:46.

one has said he does not think it should be in the Olympics but you

:25:47.:25:49.

look at other sports have gone in and people get a lot out of it,

:25:50.:25:55.

rugby sevens, tennis, what it meant to Andy Murray. The only person I

:25:56.:26:01.

can say is Colin Jackson. Numerous World Championships but never got

:26:02.:26:05.

his Olympic gold. If you asked him if he would swap his World

:26:06.:26:09.

Championships for a gold medal in the Olympics I think he would swap

:26:10.:26:13.

it in a heartbeat. OK, we will see how that goes. We are looking ahead

:26:14.:26:25.

to our second semifinal this evening which we will also be bringing you,

:26:26.:26:29.

it's the world number two against Stuart Bingham -- number two Stuart

:26:30.:26:38.

Bingham against Robert Milkins. Let's hear from Robert Milkins. It's

:26:39.:26:46.

always a good tournament, even when it was at Newport it was a good

:26:47.:26:52.

tournament. Good support, and only an hour from me. Just over the

:26:53.:26:56.

bridge. I have been playing well for quite a few weeks. I picked up just

:26:57.:27:04.

before Christmas, I turned my season around, won a couple of matches in

:27:05.:27:09.

the UK, which were not massive but it was because I was not winning

:27:10.:27:15.

games at all. Then I got to the quarters in Scotland, qualified for

:27:16.:27:20.

China last week and now this. First couple of months of the season I

:27:21.:27:24.

broke my collar bone and people forget that, I could not hold the

:27:25.:27:28.

rest for two or three months. That was a big setback. It's not my

:27:29.:27:37.

confidence as well as physically knocking me. So I have not had the

:27:38.:27:41.

best time. Four or five semifinals at ranking events. To be honest I

:27:42.:27:47.

have not really competed in them. The first one I lost 9-8 but did not

:27:48.:27:52.

play very well. Since then it's gradually got worse in semifinals

:27:53.:27:59.

for me. I have no pressure on me, I have got money in the bank and got

:28:00.:28:05.

my ranking back-up a few places. Does not got that many when you are

:28:06.:28:08.

around 32 but it's gone up a few places. I have nothing to lose. I

:28:09.:28:16.

will just give it my best. These results, they are not going to

:28:17.:28:21.

happen that often. Mark's performance was brilliant. He showed

:28:22.:28:28.

pure determination. That was probably the most inspiring thing

:28:29.:28:33.

for all of us, when he won that sort of, it must have inspired Anthony

:28:34.:28:36.

because then he did what he did. I cannot say I am not one of the

:28:37.:28:42.

better players do not win a ranking event because I have never reached

:28:43.:28:45.

the final. A few semifinals and quarters. You always want to do well

:28:46.:28:52.

in the tournament but semifinals, final, whatever, you think to

:28:53.:29:00.

yourself, if I get last 16 at the tournament, that is good and

:29:01.:29:09.

anything more is a bonus. He is enjoying his week here in Cardiff,

:29:10.:29:13.

this is how he measures up against his opponent.

:29:14.:29:37.

The only time Robert Milkins has beaten Stuart Bingham was way back

:29:38.:29:46.

in 2001. Let's chat about tonight semifinal, I guess in the same way

:29:47.:29:51.

we are seeing Donaldson as the underdog this afternoon against Judd

:29:52.:29:53.

Trump that is what it will be like the Robert Milkins tonight?

:29:54.:30:01.

Stuart Bingham has been informal season, he has made several

:30:02.:30:09.

semifinals as well, maybe even some finals. He played for

:30:10.:30:14.

-- flawless make-up, but struggled to get over the line. You do not see

:30:15.:30:20.

it often, especially from Stuart Bingham or other top players. It

:30:21.:30:25.

happened, he got over the line but today is a different day. For Robert

:30:26.:30:30.

Milkins, it is in his head. He keeps getting to the semifinals but

:30:31.:30:34.

doesn't make the finals. He needs to put it way out the back, and coming

:30:35.:30:38.

tonight with a fresh start, as if this is his first semifinal, into

:30:39.:30:43.

his first final, otherwise he carries baggage in with him. Stuart

:30:44.:30:48.

Bingham, behind us now, practising for the match tonight, has been in

:30:49.:30:52.

pretty good form, looking in great shape? Every time he turns up he is

:30:53.:30:59.

in great shape. He is not ranked number two in the world for no

:31:00.:31:05.

reason. He is full of confidence, OK, there was a little blip last

:31:06.:31:08.

night. He should have won most of the friends that he was losing. It

:31:09.:31:13.

looked like he had won, he had one committee had won, but then it

:31:14.:31:14.

looked like he would format -- looks like he would fall at each.

:31:15.:31:23.

Now, he is knocking the ball is around getting his flow going. He

:31:24.:31:28.

will go in all guns blazing. He is getting here early for practice,

:31:29.:31:34.

four and a half hours ahead of his game. We will bring you that at 7pm.

:31:35.:31:39.

The second session of Judd Trump and Scott Donaldson to come, we will

:31:40.:31:44.

tell you more about Scott Donaldson from Scotland. And Scott Donaldson,

:31:45.:31:49.

from Perth, Scotland. I'm 22, I trained in Edinburgh. I'm nothing

:31:50.:31:59.

special, just going to play snooker. My first couple of seasons I'd done

:32:00.:32:03.

OK. The next couple of seasons were not so good. And just more relaxed

:32:04.:32:10.

now. If I get beat by shake the guide's hand and say, well played.

:32:11.:32:14.

I'm not afraid to lose any more, but before I was scared to be beaten --

:32:15.:32:20.

guy's. Now I go in and play my game. If I win, great, if I lose, I just

:32:21.:32:25.

go back home. I don't think anyone realises how hard it is to win games

:32:26.:32:30.

on tour. Newcomers always play the top players from the start. It is

:32:31.:32:38.

expensive as well. It is just hard. But to be honest, it should be. But

:32:39.:32:42.

I don't think it should be as difficult as it is. It's better to

:32:43.:32:46.

build your way up, but that is my opinion. I've had seven or eight

:32:47.:32:51.

television matches over the five years I've been on tour. I think it

:32:52.:32:56.

is just every match that gives you more and more know-how, on how to

:32:57.:33:01.

play on the TV. It doesn't matter who I am playing, and at all pro, I

:33:02.:33:08.

just go out and play my game, -- and amateur or a pro. That said.

:33:09.:33:17.

As simple as that, as far as Scott Donaldson is concerned. We will go

:33:18.:33:21.

to the arena in a second for the second session. What do you make of

:33:22.:33:25.

his game? Is he someone that you could see breaking into the elite?

:33:26.:33:32.

In future? He's only 22, how far can he go? What I liked about that

:33:33.:33:36.

interview was an old head on young shoulders, very mature in his

:33:37.:33:40.

approach to the game, and it should be that way. A lot of players they

:33:41.:33:45.

not lose, rather than to win. Now he goes and plays his game, he cares

:33:46.:33:49.

but tries to play as if he does not care which presumably little bit to

:33:50.:33:54.

show his talent. Briefly, how do you see it going? 3-1, not as bad

:33:55.:33:59.

psychologically as 3-0. If it had been 4-0, Judd Trump could have had

:34:00.:34:07.

him. If he wins the next frame, 3-2, Judd might get jittery. But he is

:34:08.:34:17.

inspirational, one pot and he is off again. We might see another comeback

:34:18.:34:23.

this week... 3-1 to Judd Trump, let's go back to the arena with our

:34:24.:34:29.

MC, Rob Walker. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome

:34:30.:34:32.

back the players for this first Welsh Open semifinal... APPLAUSE

:34:33.:34:51.

We are ready to go for the second session in this opening semifinal.

:34:52.:34:59.

Let's go back over to our commentary team... COMMENTATOR: Thank you. Judd

:35:00.:35:02.

Trump would be a little disappointed that he did not win all four frames

:35:03.:35:07.

but saying that, it means that he lost three of four. Breaking off in

:35:08.:35:14.

the second part of this match... Still three frames away from

:35:15.:35:21.

victory. It was interesting to see Scott Donaldson's interview there,

:35:22.:35:25.

where he treats everyone the same, that is what we all like to do. When

:35:26.:35:30.

you placed Eve Davis, you could assume that he's just a club player,

:35:31.:35:37.

it's easier said than done -- when you you placed Eve Davis. That is

:35:38.:35:41.

his first really poor safety shot. He normally gets the opening one

:35:42.:35:51.

well. -- Steve Davies. It's difficult coming back from the

:35:52.:35:58.

interview. You have two refocus and it is that process of zoning in over

:35:59.:36:02.

again, sometimes it takes a shot or two.

:36:03.:36:12.

Players have been struggling with that type of shot this week, I don't

:36:13.:36:20.

know if the cloth is skidding a little more than usual. Judd Trump,

:36:21.:36:24.

as we know, is one of the best people at getting over the line in

:36:25.:36:30.

the match. All of the top players seem to have that ability to close

:36:31.:36:41.

matches out very quickly. Not a great one to go into. Playing for

:36:42.:36:48.

the loose thread. -- police red. If he goes out for the blue, he has to

:36:49.:36:53.

make sure that he hits the pink, a better way of getting into the reds

:36:54.:36:58.

is playing yellow or green, and finishing on a half ball. That is

:36:59.:37:07.

where the pink pots, it does not look like that from our commentary

:37:08.:37:16.

position but quite clearly, it does. I think that jerked just about held

:37:17.:37:23.

the pink spot there. Probably that will be placed behind the pack of

:37:24.:37:29.

reds. -- I think that Judd Trump just about held the pink spot there.

:37:30.:37:34.

He pink has to be as close as possible to the reds, but without

:37:35.:37:38.

touching any of them, it needs to be in line with the other spots,

:37:39.:37:44.

basically the top cushion behind the black spot. Make sure that he has

:37:45.:37:51.

done that. Plenty of angle that he wants on the blue, the pack of reds

:37:52.:37:56.

is very tight. You need to be careful that there are no plants

:37:57.:38:01.

that could find their way into the corner pockets.

:38:02.:38:13.

Amazing, he was not far away from being on nothing but there is one

:38:14.:38:21.

read that goes by the pink. When he played that shot on the blue, every

:38:22.:38:26.

single red moved in the pack, normally you get one that stays in a

:38:27.:38:29.

stationary position that every single one moved. -- but every

:38:30.:38:35.

single one moved. The pink is in open play. Already, it is a

:38:36.:38:45.

frame-winning opportunity. There was a great practice routine that I've

:38:46.:38:50.

noticed Judd do, he impressed me in the world Grand Prix a week or so

:38:51.:38:56.

ago, he says the balls up for a frame of snooker but crashes the

:38:57.:39:00.

blue into the middle pocket, smashing the red everywhere. I

:39:01.:39:04.

thought, that is a great practice routine, it mimics the start of a

:39:05.:39:08.

frame when someone makes a mistake. You get six or seven open reds and a

:39:09.:39:13.

pack of about seven or eight tightly bunched, which you have to develop

:39:14.:39:19.

later on in the break. It is a good practice routine, I like that one.

:39:20.:39:39.

This is the first of the 4.5 frames that we've played so far, and Scott

:39:40.:39:46.

has not had the chance to win it. With a poor safety shot, or break

:39:47.:39:50.

off, I should say. And an opening bread for Judd, this is what the

:39:51.:39:56.

score is so far -- and an opening red.

:39:57.:40:24.

Any harder and it might not have gone in. Purposely playing for the

:40:25.:40:34.

easier pink rather than the difficult black.

:40:35.:40:47.

Amazing! But, do you know, as I saw him strike the cue ball his cue

:40:48.:40:56.

across the cue ball a bit, I always thought he would hit the pink high,

:40:57.:41:00.

look at that white pushing the pink over...

:41:01.:41:14.

What a miss for Scott, being 65 points down with 67 left in his

:41:15.:41:23.

blacks, all but one of them anyway, and these remaining reds, that one

:41:24.:41:27.

is placed. He will play the pink that he can afford to now.

:41:28.:41:33.

Considering the position of the remaining reds, it will be the

:41:34.:41:39.

unlikely winner of this frame... I do not expect to snooker himself

:41:40.:41:53.

on that shot but that is what he appears to have done. I'm not even

:41:54.:42:04.

sure that he can get into the red this close to these two. Pretty

:42:05.:42:20.

good... Scott Donaldson, seven. Now, will Judd risk playing that along

:42:21.:42:28.

the top cushion? He needs another red but he's not going to play that.

:42:29.:42:31.

Those two have been tight on the question. He would have played the

:42:32.:42:36.

plant. -- those two would have been tight on the cushion. It is all

:42:37.:42:42.

about missing the kiss on the green here with the cue ball, if he avoids

:42:43.:42:46.

it, he should get a Scot in trouble. He decides to put the red out of

:42:47.:42:58.

commission -- he should get Scott in trouble.

:42:59.:43:07.

Sometimes, you can deliberately rolled the read write over the bog

:43:08.:43:11.

pocket and try to put it. If it stays in the jaws you commit your

:43:12.:43:18.

opponent to come you have two pot it.

:43:19.:43:26.

That is a Judd Trump special, made all the more easy by the fact that

:43:27.:43:33.

it is unlikely to cost him much, if you miss it. I think that Judd is

:43:34.:43:43.

intent on putting this match to bed as quickly as he can.

:43:44.:43:54.

The red has not gone in, Scott Donaldson would need three smokers

:43:55.:44:02.

and decides not to bother. That session for young Scott Donaldson,

:44:03.:44:05.

finding himself further in trouble now, it is for one frames. Judd

:44:06.:44:12.

Trump will be very happy having got the ball rolling again after the

:44:13.:44:16.

interval. After winning that frame comfortably, two frames to go. How

:44:17.:44:23.

will it go? It will be difficult for Scott Donaldson, he's not been out

:44:24.:44:28.

with a chance of winning the frame, he was completely outplayed there.

:44:29.:44:32.

It is disappointing that as he sits there, he knows that this match

:44:33.:44:36.

should be closer. It is his first semifinal, we saw in his post match

:44:37.:44:40.

interview that he was going to play every player the same way. Whether

:44:41.:44:45.

Ronnie O'Sullivan or Judd Trump. He will play every person the same and

:44:46.:44:48.

sometimes it is hard to do but at the moment he is playing the player

:44:49.:44:56.

rather than the game. Yes, and the occasion, when you miss your chances

:44:57.:45:04.

early as Scots did, the occasion can be done only -- as Scott did. You

:45:05.:45:09.

think about your performance and playing well, and see what happens

:45:10.:45:13.

then, rather than being embarrassed, which is easy to do out there. Judd

:45:14.:45:17.

Trump will be pleased with how the afternoon session has gone. Every

:45:18.:45:25.

time he gets the score in, he is needing those chances. In five

:45:26.:45:31.

occasions of those 11 friends, he played against Barry Hawkins, he

:45:32.:45:35.

scored 40 or 50, and broke down. Barry Hawkins would perhaps be sat

:45:36.:45:39.

at home thinking, he could have beaten Judd yesterday. What a run

:45:40.:45:44.

Barry Hawkins has had coming into the tournament. He played flawless

:45:45.:45:50.

snooker for many weeks, and now it is Trump's chance to get the

:45:51.:45:56.

tournament victory back. He's always one of the players that I love to

:45:57.:46:03.

watch play. A brilliant crowd here in Wales? Yes, it always is. Played

:46:04.:46:09.

for quite a few years that the Newport Centre where we had great

:46:10.:46:12.

attendance, nothing has changed here, coming back to the former CIA,

:46:13.:46:17.

the Motorpoint Arena, as it is now called. Scott Donaldson breaking off

:46:18.:46:25.

for frame six. It is a must win frame for him to get back into

:46:26.:46:28.

contention in this match, slightly. We know that... And he knows that

:46:29.:46:35.

nothing less than a good performance from here on in will suffice. I have

:46:36.:46:43.

to be honest, we've seen Scott break off three times, four times he made

:46:44.:46:51.

the break perfectly. A lot of players break up and leave that shot

:46:52.:47:03.

to nothing red a better safety shot for Judd.

:47:04.:47:11.

You can certainly see the reds below the pink on the right-hand side,

:47:12.:47:16.

whether he can hit them nicely enough to get back into the baulk...

:47:17.:47:24.

That was always a problem, he has had a nice kiss their rather than a

:47:25.:47:39.

bad one. He's actually put Judd in trouble, although

:47:40.:47:43.

Judd can see a couple of reds, he can can it back up the table to

:47:44.:47:54.

baulk. -- he can can it back up the table.

:47:55.:48:02.

Brilliant. I have to be honest, that is a tough shot because the blue is

:48:03.:48:09.

always in play but once you miss the cannon on the blue, it is an

:48:10.:48:11.

excellent safety shot. Scott has been playing the better

:48:12.:48:33.

safety throughout the match but on two occasions, he has overhit his

:48:34.:48:38.

safety shot. It is definitely his strongest point, you can see how

:48:39.:48:41.

disappointed he was with that last effort. But,

:48:42.:48:52.

Judd always tends to play an aggressive pot. Using the other reds

:48:53.:48:56.

to screw back. It's definitely noticeable, when

:48:57.:49:54.

Scott Donaldson has had opportunities in these matches,

:49:55.:50:01.

particularly early on. He's been making the break, can he do

:50:02.:50:08.

something with this opportunity? The pink wall pot into this right

:50:09.:50:18.

corner. -- that pink will spot into this right corner.

:50:19.:50:29.

He will be kicking himself. That was not really bad, it was the shot

:50:30.:50:37.

before, potting the red and on the wrong side of the blue. He's been

:50:38.:50:42.

fortunate there. He had to play the red at a distance rather than get

:50:43.:50:46.

close to it. He was concentrating so hard on making sure he finished by

:50:47.:50:48.

the blue. Took his eye off the pot. Incredible, that cue ball could come

:50:49.:51:04.

all the way back and end up touching. It is touching ball, I

:51:05.:51:12.

wonder if Judd feels really brave here, to come off the baulk cushion

:51:13.:51:18.

and tight end behind a baulk colour. He could probably leave it, the

:51:19.:51:24.

snooker is in the right corner, and over the left centre. That is what

:51:25.:51:31.

he is going to do, I think he has played it very well.

:51:32.:52:06.

No problem hitting a read, but he needs to make sure that he does not

:52:07.:52:13.

pot on either corner or in the middle pocket. In fairness, there is

:52:14.:52:17.

two reds near the question at the top of the table, if you roll snare

:52:18.:52:22.

them, it will be as good as anything -- cushion. You just need to make

:52:23.:52:30.

sure that it does not roll off. As good as anything, what we call a

:52:31.:52:34.

containing safety, not really gaining an advantage...

:52:35.:53:04.

Well... I'm wondering whether they could end up having a stalemate

:53:05.:53:12.

here? I do not think either player would be tempted to try and play a

:53:13.:53:15.

safety shot into the baulk here, they have two reds to try and hide.

:53:16.:53:21.

This will be done in the next minute, I'm sure. I think the fact

:53:22.:53:34.

that Judd will play this shot, he will turn around and have a look.

:53:35.:53:47.

They have decided to re-reck, it was going nowhere -- re-rack. In re-rack

:53:48.:53:56.

it is... So, Trump with a free frame lead

:53:57.:54:01.

over Donaldson, 4-1. STUDIO: He looks like a man in peace with

:54:02.:54:05.

himself at the moment. As you would expect. He is a couple of frames

:54:06.:54:12.

away from a place in the final? He is, and when he gets in, as you

:54:13.:54:17.

said, he scored heavier than against Barry Hawkins committee yesterday he

:54:18.:54:20.

kept breaking down and losing friends but the strong point with

:54:21.:54:26.

Judd Trump at the moment, his long pot has been brilliant. I know the

:54:27.:54:32.

statistics, it will be 60 or 70% but those pots he has knocked in have

:54:33.:54:37.

been unbelievable. You talk about the long pot, and how well he has

:54:38.:54:45.

done there. He has been fantastic? Well, you know, the main thing is,

:54:46.:54:49.

in the modern day game, you need to be a good long potter, it's

:54:50.:54:56.

imperative. One thing that Judd Trump hours, he can knock in a hyper

:54:57.:55:03.

turn to age -- Judd Trump has come he can not in a high percentage.

:55:04.:55:08.

It is 4-1 to Judd Trump, let's go back over to the game.

:55:09.:55:13.

COMMENTATOR: Donaldson manages to find the baulk cushion with his

:55:14.:55:16.

break off again. Restarting frame six... That is a good shot from Judd

:55:17.:55:24.

in reply. That was a clever shot from Judd,

:55:25.:55:59.

you would expect him to go near the baulk cushion but he played with a

:56:00.:56:03.

lot of stunt, to cover the left-hand side of the pack. But he has not

:56:04.:56:07.

quite done it. On the right-hand side here, arching the pack to get

:56:08.:56:13.

back into the baulk area. It will catch the edge of the pack but it is

:56:14.:56:20.

a little thick. It is a pull shot. -- it is a poor shot. Now, a deep

:56:21.:56:30.

screw back into the baulk area. Can he get through to the right-hand

:56:31.:56:38.

side? Of the 128 pros on the tour, there are about 100 who cannot play

:56:39.:56:42.

this shot that Judd is about to play. Albeit, he did not do it too

:56:43.:56:49.

well, screwing back for the brown there.

:56:50.:57:23.

Well judged, that pays there. Another couple of inches would have

:57:24.:57:29.

been ideal but it is still a very good shot -- pace. Again, a little

:57:30.:57:39.

shorter than most. He needs a longer rest, cannot reach it with a short

:57:40.:57:43.

one. But he gets in, there's only one frame he has not been in first.

:57:44.:57:55.

He just asked for a long spider. This could make things interesting.

:57:56.:57:59.

The potting angle of the black, it will cause Scott to go over the top

:58:00.:58:08.

of these three reds, luckily he can reach across the side of the table.

:58:09.:58:09.

It is not too bad. Played well. Once again, Scott finds himself

:58:10.:58:59.

amongst the balls, everything in superb positions, with a big break.

:59:00.:59:04.

Needing to keep a tight rein on the cue ball, and not do too much with

:59:05.:59:09.

it. Then, potting the next red will open the black spot out.

:59:10.:59:22.

Even then not perfectly positioned because he slightly higher on the

:59:23.:59:27.

red saw the black will not go into the same pocket. Has to get close to

:59:28.:59:34.

his work that he has played that one perfectly.

:59:35.:00:31.

He may have to risk playing the cannon into the left-hand side of

:00:32.:00:37.

the two reds just to make sure you're on the black but this can go

:00:38.:00:44.

wrong. The brick building so poor in this break, the wrong game on the

:00:45.:00:48.

black onto a three occasion, have to make up your mind, either you played

:00:49.:00:53.

Nice Mitch or you do not play this match. And he has played neither. --

:00:54.:00:57.

either you play the Absolutely so disappointed not to

:00:58.:01:50.

have won the frame on that visit. 99 times out of a hundred. Kept pushing

:01:51.:02:01.

it out. This frame looks like being end of March. But a second bite of

:02:02.:02:16.

the cherry. Scott Donaldson so fortunate to see Judd Trump miss

:02:17.:02:21.

that red. I reckon he could play that ten times and pot at least nine

:02:22.:02:28.

of them. But that time he does play a very well-controlled positional

:02:29.:02:36.

shot. I tend to mediate my comments when players make mistakes but you

:02:37.:02:39.

could not forgive a player for not wrapping up the frame from here.

:02:40.:02:46.

Once again he has finished low when he needed to be highly so this could

:02:47.:02:59.

go wrong. Good recovery. 25 points from here. And he will never forgive

:03:00.:03:10.

himself if he does not win this frame.

:03:11.:04:16.

Just a glance at the scoreboard, he knows he is past the winning line

:04:17.:04:36.

but knows that Judd Trump will come back if he does not pot the next

:04:37.:04:41.

red. Needs to get another red off the table.

:04:42.:05:13.

I think this red will pot into the right centre. In it goes. He will be

:05:14.:05:26.

relieved to have won this frame. The magnificent opportunity early on,

:05:27.:05:33.

made 40, had a golden opportunity to win the frame that did not. Judd

:05:34.:05:39.

Trump had a chance to get back in but did not, Donaldson took it.

:05:40.:05:46.

STUDIO: Donaldson pulling himself back from the brink, welcome to the

:05:47.:05:53.

opening semifinal, he will be feeling a bit better now after that,

:05:54.:05:59.

he has taken his opportunity? Yes, he missed the bad ball, got halfway

:06:00.:06:07.

through, on 40, gave his opponents an easy opportunity. Judd Trump

:06:08.:06:12.

missing the red with the rest, he is normally very good with that, he

:06:13.:06:16.

would normally pot ten times out of ten but he missed it. Lots and then

:06:17.:06:20.

knocking in a long red and then securing the frame at a second

:06:21.:06:25.

opportunity. If that had got away from him he would have looked back

:06:26.:06:28.

at this match thinking I have had my chances I have just not taking them.

:06:29.:06:34.

You talked about last night with Judd Trump making mistakes and maybe

:06:35.:06:40.

a little wake-up call they are? The difference yesterday was he was not

:06:41.:06:43.

quite scoring enough, today when he has been getting and he has been

:06:44.:06:51.

scoring, everyone is allowed to miss balls, he was still 40 points behind

:06:52.:06:55.

so he would still have had to have cleared up. But the way he has been

:06:56.:06:59.

playing in this match you fancy if that red had gone in he would have

:07:00.:07:02.

cleared up and that is the difference between yesterday and

:07:03.:07:06.

today. Donaldson playing the occasion and not the game, what does

:07:07.:07:11.

that mean, you're not focusing on what you are doing in your shot,

:07:12.:07:16.

you're thinking about your context, the occasion, the opponent? I don't

:07:17.:07:21.

necessarily agree with him playing the occasion and not the player, I

:07:22.:07:26.

think it's a massive occasion for him. His positioning has gone a

:07:27.:07:39.

little bit, talking about the red, he has play to get on the black cat

:07:40.:07:43.

ball and played badly. He is under pressure out there because he wants

:07:44.:07:47.

to do well. He will make mistakes, it's his first semifinal and Judd

:07:48.:07:51.

Trump is used to it. I agree with the boys in commentary to a certain

:07:52.:07:58.

extent. Maybe we have a game on our hands after all.

:07:59.:08:02.

COMMENTATOR: We certainly do, if he can win this frame he will be well

:08:03.:08:11.

back into the match. But as always when you play Judd Trump you get

:08:12.:08:14.

chances you do not get from other players. Good break this time albeit

:08:15.:08:21.

he has left a long red on which Scott Donaldson will probably take

:08:22.:08:30.

on. I'm lucky, he hits that good. Unlucky. Do not blame him for taking

:08:31.:08:32.

it on. If it goes on the pink spot it will

:08:33.:09:40.

be out of commission. It is not out of commission where it is. Just

:09:41.:09:50.

making sure it is not touching. Maybe the black is not available,

:09:51.:09:56.

just having a look. The red is definitely available. This is tight.

:09:57.:10:11.

It's amazing he has played for it but you can see it does pot.

:10:12.:10:39.

Really got into the cue ball, overscrewed by about a foot.

:10:40.:10:51.

It is amazing what cue ball movement he gets from what looks to be a

:10:52.:11:04.

short backswing. Yes, a lot of that is the QC uses, it's not utterly

:11:05.:11:08.

strong one, got a bit of spring in the shaft which enables the spring

:11:09.:11:19.

out of the ball. Sometimes it might not be beneficial to have a springy

:11:20.:11:32.

Q4 other areas of the game. Good black key

:11:33.:12:16.

If he gets it full ball it could stick. That's the problem. Little

:12:17.:12:27.

surprised he did not fully go in at pace, he seemed to go at half pace.

:12:28.:12:35.

If he had gone into the main body of the pack at the pace he did I don't

:12:36.:12:39.

think he would have been on anything either. The break ends at 44. I

:12:40.:12:43.

useful lead. APPLAUSE

:12:44.:13:18.

It's amazing how confident Judd is, he can miss multiple shots and still

:13:19.:13:24.

play the aggressive shots. It's a great asset, to forget about the

:13:25.:13:30.

shot that has just come before. This is a dangerous. When the pink has

:13:31.:13:37.

made contact, bringing other reds into play but he gets down and plays

:13:38.:13:44.

it with so much confidence. That was very similar to the shot he missed

:13:45.:13:48.

in the middle pocket where you said you saw his cue move a little bit.

:13:49.:13:56.

Cueing across it again there. Seemed to just get right at the last

:13:57.:13:57.

minute. Yes does slightly cue across the

:13:58.:14:09.

ball, he has always done that, it's just part of his rhythm. Puts his

:14:10.:14:14.

hip into some of the power shots as well. That's the repetition of his

:14:15.:14:21.

routine, the way he plays his shots, it has been the same so it's nothing

:14:22.:14:22.

new. Part of his timing and rhythm. That has a chance first got to get

:14:23.:14:46.

right back into this frame, he has overrun his positional shot by a

:14:47.:14:56.

foot and a half. This red will still pot into the left centre. I think

:14:57.:15:06.

that's in. Good recovery. He has got to Cannes in the right-hand red and

:15:07.:15:14.

push through it and hopefully the red he cannons will bring another

:15:15.:15:18.

interplay. -- interplay. I am amazed he tried to play that

:15:19.:15:49.

shot. Even now he is two feet away from his next red and the black only

:15:50.:15:54.

reached the pocket on its last role. Personally I did not think that was

:15:55.:15:57.

the right shot to play but just about worked out OK.

:15:58.:16:12.

Would love to finish low on this next red Sri can bring other reds

:16:13.:16:19.

into play and the pink as well. A lot of players would play into them

:16:20.:16:23.

as he has done. That's the first aggressive shot he has played. He

:16:24.:16:28.

deserved to be on one, this is a great chance to pinch the frame and

:16:29.:16:33.

get back within one. Where all the balls are are his favourite.

:16:34.:16:41.

This is the sort of frame that Scott Donaldson really does need to win

:16:42.:17:00.

from this opportunity, put some pressure on his opponent and let him

:17:01.:17:04.

know if he starts making mistakes he will get punished for them. If Scott

:17:05.:17:09.

can win the frame and pull back within one, it could be anybody's

:17:10.:17:11.

match. In practice he would clearly is up

:17:12.:18:14.

100 times out of 100. -- he would clear these up. Do not risk playing

:18:15.:18:19.

for the pink or black, ideally would like to get onto the brown.

:18:20.:18:30.

Do not go top side of the blue. Almost gone wrong.

:18:31.:18:49.

Just has too get one more good shot. Judd Trump will be wondering how on

:18:50.:18:58.

earth this is now 4-3. Just when it looks safe, he has

:18:59.:19:51.

under head. APPLAUSE

:19:52.:20:35.

Well done, his heart would have skipped a beat having seen where cue

:20:36.:20:42.

ball finished. 44 break in the frame from Judd was not enough.

:20:43.:21:01.

He came to the table some 50 points behind, needed to clear to pinch it

:21:02.:21:08.

and did just that with the break of 74 and now trails by just one, 4-3.

:21:09.:21:16.

STUDIO: And there we were thinking we might have an early finish in

:21:17.:21:24.

this opening semifinal. How is this happening, the world number four

:21:25.:21:27.

against the world number some discipline, what is going on? He is

:21:28.:21:33.

right back in this match, he has cut his deficit. He has stuck in there,

:21:34.:21:39.

his positioning in that last frame was much, much better. Getting more

:21:40.:21:43.

table time and feeling more confident. Starting to look very

:21:44.:21:50.

good. Again we have examples of Judd Trump's play, some good and some not

:21:51.:21:54.

so good, let's look at the good, another long shot and you have been

:21:55.:22:05.

drooling over them. Yes, this is probably a one in ten shot and he

:22:06.:22:08.

has knocked it in my get is over the pocket. Normally this one he would

:22:09.:22:13.

pot ten times out of ten, that is just unforgivable, a player of his

:22:14.:22:20.

stature. And to be fair to Scott Donaldson that was his chance and he

:22:21.:22:27.

took it. We saw it yesterday in his match against Barry Hawkins, the

:22:28.:22:31.

subtle mistakes. A little bit reckless, how do you explain? I do

:22:32.:22:36.

not agree with reckless, the shots are your plane is the right shots.

:22:37.:22:42.

For whatever reason he missing them every so often and that was never

:22:43.:22:49.

his game. Against Barry Hawkins he got out of jail a little bit. He

:22:50.:22:56.

done all the work, had the frame won, missed something easily and

:22:57.:22:59.

then Barry Hawkins pinch to the frames until the end when it turned.

:23:00.:23:03.

Barry Hawkins had chances and will feel he should be in the semifinal.

:23:04.:23:10.

Worrying times a little bit now for Judd Trump fans, 4-1 up and very

:23:11.:23:16.

comfortable, 4-3 the matches is completely back on. You said during

:23:17.:23:21.

that frame Trump has been on this table all week in front of the

:23:22.:23:24.

cameras and Donaldson only a couple of times, how much of a significant

:23:25.:23:30.

factor do you think that is? I think it's massive, people will disagree

:23:31.:23:34.

but at the end of the day he's a top world player and has earned the

:23:35.:23:37.

right to play on that table every time. The outside tables are not

:23:38.:23:43.

supposed to run any differently but they do, to a three feet different.

:23:44.:23:47.

When you are used to it being slower and then come onto faster table it

:23:48.:23:52.

takes you a while to settle. The most important thing for Scott

:23:53.:23:55.

Donaldson was getting the first frame on the board and once he did

:23:56.:23:58.

that it allowed him to settle and now he is starting to play the

:23:59.:24:03.

snooker he is capable of. He looks pretty calm waiting for Judd Trump

:24:04.:24:07.

to come back who will probably have a doubtful voice in his head? Yes,

:24:08.:24:13.

Stuart Bingham had at last night and we saw what happened. He really

:24:14.:24:16.

struggled to get over the line. There is a lot of snooker left in

:24:17.:24:22.

this match. It is best of 11, so first to six is the winner.

:24:23.:24:29.

COMMENTATOR: Getting interesting now this match, just the odd frame

:24:30.:24:40.

between them. Strangely enough Judd Trump's safety success is at 91%

:24:41.:24:51.

compared to his opponents 79%. But the long pot success of Scott

:24:52.:24:58.

Donaldson could do with being better slightly, 25% only. Two out of eight

:24:59.:25:09.

long pots. Judd Trump was at 80% but it is now at 60 having missed that

:25:10.:25:16.

long one. This is a big frame in the context of the match. Judd having

:25:17.:25:22.

lost the last two frames. If he can win this one he will be 5-3 ahead

:25:23.:25:27.

and probably feel that a lot of the pressure on him will be released.

:25:28.:26:17.

The cue ball just dangling on the edge of the court pocket which makes

:26:18.:26:26.

this safety shot that more difficult. I do not know how the

:26:27.:26:30.

White House stopped. We'll just be plain safety shot here. APPLAUSE

:26:31.:26:57.

If you are a close friend of Judd Trump are a big supporter he does

:26:58.:27:05.

not have put you through the ringer, doesn't often win matches

:27:06.:27:15.

convincingly. If he can just find a way to not play the odd careless

:27:16.:27:21.

shot now and again he would be virtually unbeatable. Just as to

:27:22.:27:25.

throw in a careless safety or careless positional shot every time

:27:26.:27:26.

he plays. Got very close to the long red,

:27:27.:27:48.

caught the bottom jaw and didn't find its way into the pocket but

:27:49.:27:51.

close enough to it for Scott Donaldson to cut debt in. -- to cut

:27:52.:27:56.

it in. Would love to play on one of the two

:27:57.:28:29.

reds just above the black to free the black spot area. I am sure they

:28:30.:28:33.

go into the top right corner. Some players might decide to crash the

:28:34.:28:44.

brown and open things far and wide. Where is this going to finish? Short

:28:45.:28:55.

by about two feet. Why not play the two cushion is to take that out of

:28:56.:28:59.

the equation. One cushion you are asking for trouble, if he plays two

:29:00.:29:05.

you cannot fail to be on the reds. That is absolutely true. Across the

:29:06.:29:11.

table to the other side of the table you could not snooker yourself. But

:29:12.:29:17.

Scott obviously felt it was an easy enough shot to play. Unfortunately

:29:18.:29:22.

he has found out that it wasn't. So, a pity. It was a great chance.

:29:23.:30:30.

This is a poor safety shot. He has a decent cue ball, but Judd can play

:30:31.:30:42.

that ball, he won't leave anything if he plays for the pink has welcome

:30:43.:30:48.

on and off the cushion. Around the back of the pad, the same scenario.

:30:49.:30:53.

He has Judd under real pressure at the minute.

:30:54.:31:26.

Would love to finish low on this black, play the cannon into the

:31:27.:31:31.

three reds but he finished high safety cannot do that now. Bottom of

:31:32.:31:37.

the three reds there, potting into the corner.

:31:38.:31:52.

Not absolutely guaranteed to get this little cannon Wright, if a

:31:53.:31:58.

-- if they push it towards the left. That can and should have made better

:31:59.:32:05.

history than that. He found one there, Judd. It worked

:32:06.:32:30.

out well, it's a great chance for him to be on the pink with the same

:32:31.:32:35.

pocket, pushing through the red. I think he is touching ball on one of

:32:36.:32:39.

the reds, I do not know if it will prohibit him from potting it into

:32:40.:32:45.

the left centre. It is very tight. I think he could pot it, I don't if he

:32:46.:32:50.

can hold it for the red closest. Now, potting it, you might drift by

:32:51.:32:53.

the red that is nearest the pink spot and beyond nothing. From that

:32:54.:33:00.

angle, I'm not sure if he can get through. I think it is really tight,

:33:01.:33:07.

he could roll it in for the red. That the cue ball is nearly

:33:08.:33:10.

touching. But the pink spot is occupying it. I wonder if it could

:33:11.:33:19.

circumvent him. He could play the pink if he decides to play safe,

:33:20.:33:29.

playing the pink on the top. He has been fortunate. Playing a bad shot

:33:30.:33:31.

and getting away with it. They may take it on, where is the

:33:32.:34:51.

red going? That was a pull shot. Totally misjudging play, hitting the

:34:52.:34:55.

jaws at least in playing the long pot. Meaning there had been no

:34:56.:35:07.

problem. He missed it by a long way. The black is available. The black is

:35:08.:35:16.

open. He will be so disappointed, almost hitting the red on the wrong

:35:17.:35:21.

side, it comes back up to baulk. Look at this. Hitting straight on.

:35:22.:35:26.

Now, Judd has a good position on the black, in the middle of the three,

:35:27.:35:32.

just above the black. Now, there is a choice of reds.

:35:33.:36:16.

Just when Scott Donaldson was getting into the match, he has let

:36:17.:36:22.

one slip here. Going back to the brown he played when he potted it,

:36:23.:36:26.

and did not finish on the two reds above the black. He knew it was a

:36:27.:36:29.

great chance to score heavily. Now it looks as if he will be three

:36:30.:36:33.

behind. -- B 5-3 behind. Just a scarlet, and any colour for

:36:34.:37:37.

Judd to re-establish the lead -- just a red. Very relieved, Judd

:37:38.:37:47.

Trump, moving himself back into the driving seat in this match. Now,

:37:48.:37:52.

just requiring one more frame to book his place in the final

:37:53.:38:00.

tomorrow. Making the century break... Potting high value colours

:38:01.:38:11.

with the three remaining reds. Already made a magnificent total

:38:12.:38:18.

clearance in the first frame of 131. It was not total clearance, but

:38:19.:38:25.

almost... Nevertheless, it followed up to go 2-0 up and then... This was

:38:26.:38:35.

one of 65, going 4-1 up, but not done a lot of heavy scoring. It's

:38:36.:38:41.

been more Scott Donaldson. Breaking at 75, 40, 42 and 74, getting right

:38:42.:38:52.

back into the match. But he will know he is about to be two frames

:38:53.:38:54.

adrift of Judd again. It came back in... What a great shot

:38:55.:39:13.

it was. Just making a century with clearance

:39:14.:39:34.

to the black. It will be the second of the match. Can he revive the

:39:35.:39:40.

angle on the brown to dislodge the blue, or try and can in the blue

:39:41.:39:43.

half ball here and leave himself on the brown? -- cannon. It's difficult

:39:44.:39:49.

to know what he played there. Am looking forward to this shot, it

:39:50.:40:06.

would be a Judd Trump special. A power shot up the cushion rail, this

:40:07.:40:12.

will takes on doing. -- this will take some doing. Hang on... What a

:40:13.:40:22.

shame. Could not make the second century break with 82 from Judd

:40:23.:40:26.

Trump, more than enough to establish a two frame lead, he needs one more

:40:27.:40:29.

to book his place in the final tomorrow. He leads Scott Donaldson

:40:30.:40:38.

5-3. FUNKY MUSIC At the moment, I cannot stop eating

:40:39.:40:45.

chocolate! Two, I think Leonardo DiCaprio is a great actor and Ben

:40:46.:40:51.

Affleck. There was a time in the local league games, where I beat

:40:52.:40:56.

someone, I think he must have been about 40 and I was six or seven at

:40:57.:41:01.

the time. He ended up snapping his cue after I beat him, I will never

:41:02.:41:08.

forget that! And quite patient. -- I'm quite patient and relaxed. I'm

:41:09.:41:14.

quite a bad loser, it takes me a while to get over some losses, it

:41:15.:41:17.

takes me a day or two to get over it. Quantum Piura.

:41:18.:41:26.

David Beckham, or McGregor, I would be intimidated. -- Conor McGregor.

:41:27.:41:40.

I've not paid attention to what's happened in the past, for me I would

:41:41.:41:44.

like to go forward in 50 years and see what is happening there. The

:41:45.:41:49.

beach, in LA, and out with friends at night.

:41:50.:41:57.

Nice to see Judd sat in the chair, Scott Donaldson missed a trick, he

:41:58.:42:01.

potted a nice red, perfect on the brown, this is a shot. Play on one

:42:02.:42:07.

cushion, you have the chance to go wrong, he should have gone two, of

:42:08.:42:12.

the blue and back on the two reds. Playing on one, you have a single

:42:13.:42:18.

foot margin of error. With two, you have five feet. He will be kicking

:42:19.:42:21.

himself not to have made a better fist of it than that. He's in the

:42:22.:42:29.

match, Judd with a break of 82, taking it away from him now. I think

:42:30.:42:33.

it is going to be tough for Scott to get back into the match again.

:42:34.:42:42.

Frame nine. Judd Trump hopes it will be the last frame of the match,

:42:43.:42:44.

breaking off in frame nine. The best break off of the match,

:42:45.:43:08.

probably. Judd has Scott Donaldson snookered on Allred 's. Has to be

:43:09.:43:13.

careful, it is so easy to leave a pot on here if you are not careful.

:43:14.:43:18.

Get that pays right. -- snookered on all of the reds. It looks

:43:19.:43:28.

dangerously quick. Nestling on the red. No harm is done. Touching ball,

:43:29.:43:35.

not so good from Donaldson's point of view. It allows Judd to play that

:43:36.:43:38.

part of the table as he so desires. Just a minor adjustment needed.

:43:39.:45:03.

Players never really worried about, OK, he has given ten points away.

:45:04.:45:07.

Ten points in this stage of the game is not as important as not a read

:45:08.:45:15.

on. -- red on. I would be amazed if he does not get that touching ball

:45:16.:45:16.

on this visit... I think it is a touching ball again,

:45:17.:45:36.

you know... It absolutely froze when it hit the reds. Meeting another

:45:37.:45:43.

touching ball. This time, he will try and get in behind the yellow.

:45:44.:45:48.

Just like that. Just wondering whether it is worth

:45:49.:46:28.

playing to snicker him rather than let him see the reds, bringing

:46:29.:46:36.

interplay. Playing -- bringing those reds in to play.

:46:37.:46:46.

On the left-hand side of the pack, he's come out more with him playing

:46:47.:46:51.

that last shot into the pack. How not really rest on this side of the

:46:52.:46:56.

pack, and leave a pot. Having to be careful.

:46:57.:47:06.

It looks like he is thinking about coming to the back of the pack this

:47:07.:47:14.

time. In one, two, three or four positions.

:47:15.:47:29.

A different way to what he originally thought. A similar kind

:47:30.:47:34.

of shot, though. It is all about pace. It is a poor shot.

:47:35.:47:53.

I think that Scott Donaldson was lucky that he missed that one. Just

:47:54.:48:00.

playing it slightly more casual I felt there. Just that pace kept it

:48:01.:48:14.

out, it was sent a little high. Well... Scott obviously did not

:48:15.:48:18.

think that he could control that cue ball there. Playing through the

:48:19.:48:23.

baulk colours, and trusting that position. He is on the blue, or

:48:24.:48:28.

baulk colours. There is anyone loose red that would put anywhere. I don't

:48:29.:48:31.

think there is one of the back of the pack that would put into the

:48:32.:48:35.

left-hand corner. -- there is only one loose red.

:48:36.:48:46.

Could get onto the loose red that the left of the yellow. Three

:48:47.:48:53.

cushions, he has done, he might have two slow up a little. That is well

:48:54.:48:55.

played. That red does not pot. Why play at

:48:56.:49:27.

the way he did? Rather than finishing in an area where he looks

:49:28.:49:35.

to be playing for one or two reds. So... Yes, it was a strange shot

:49:36.:49:43.

that Scott played. This red into the blue pots into the

:49:44.:50:29.

corner, and if it does, Scott can take it on and get position on to be

:50:30.:50:34.

black. As it approaches and runs past two hours. Putting that, not

:50:35.:50:43.

left uneasy one on for Judd. Although the blue probably does pot.

:50:44.:51:11.

Once you miss a red as far as he did, you realise what happens, that

:51:12.:51:20.

pink has come to the rescue of the red nearest to the pocket. There's a

:51:21.:51:32.

gap between the pink and the that is typed on the cushions, it is one of

:51:33.:51:34.

those. If he can -- cannon the pink and the red, I

:51:35.:51:43.

don't know why he put it that way around for sure, why not thin?

:51:44.:52:07.

Again, myself and Willie had a conversation, wondering whether Judd

:52:08.:52:17.

would smash into the red, and he did. When you do that you don't know

:52:18.:52:22.

where the cue ball will finish. As you saw, that is what can happen.

:52:23.:52:26.

What a retriever, Scott Donaldson must have thought he played his last

:52:27.:52:33.

shot in the Welsh Open. Instead... He has the chance for 5-4.

:52:34.:53:43.

Second glance he might have been better playing on the black, trying

:53:44.:53:55.

to knock this blue end... Ooh dear. That is his first which, definitely

:53:56.:54:07.

slightly anxious on that one. He has had some chances in this match. He

:54:08.:54:11.

takes the tape away from this match and will realise he had every chance

:54:12.:54:17.

of beating Judd Trump today. That's right. Could certainly take this

:54:18.:54:31.

match himself. Considering his performance in the round yesterday,

:54:32.:54:38.

in the last 16 against Zhou Yuelong, he did so well in that match,

:54:39.:54:42.

dominating his young Chinese opponent. If he played in a similar

:54:43.:54:46.

fashion today I think that he would be winning.

:54:47.:55:12.

Usually, these top players close the match out and have chances like

:55:13.:55:19.

this. He does not have to worry about the two reds on the side

:55:20.:55:26.

cushions. As those reds loose in the middle of the table.

:55:27.:55:34.

It has been workmanlike from Judd Trump today, he's not played

:55:35.:55:41.

anywhere near his best. Scored better than he did against Barry

:55:42.:55:47.

Hawkins yesterday. Making 40, missing. He did that a couple of

:55:48.:55:50.

times today, yesterday he did it five times. When he plays in the

:55:51.:55:56.

final, he has to tighten that side of his game up.

:55:57.:56:47.

Well, this has been better from Judd. Missing pots in this break.

:56:48.:57:00.

Now he just needs one more red to take place in tomorrow's final.

:57:01.:57:11.

APPLAUSE What a great tournament that young

:57:12.:57:15.

man has had. Win or lose he will gain a lot of experience from this

:57:16.:57:19.

game. Like I say, if he takes the tape away he will realise how close

:57:20.:57:26.

he came to winning the match. Silly little miss positions with the

:57:27.:57:27.

balls. Trying to force into the red to

:57:28.:57:49.

bring it into play. No century break to finish Bert a match that Judd

:57:50.:57:54.

will be pleased to have one. It seemed he took a few chances but he

:57:55.:57:58.

came away winning quite convincingly. The scoreline doesn't

:57:59.:58:05.

quite tell the story, but Judd goes through to another major final.

:58:06.:58:10.

STUDIO: It was not as easy as it might have been but Judd Trump,

:58:11.:58:17.

through to his first Welsh Open final and Scott Donaldson will hope

:58:18.:58:20.

that there are more ranking tournament semifinals to come. Just

:58:21.:58:25.

one game too far for him today but Trump, as he signs some autographs

:58:26.:58:30.

in the arena, he will play either Stuart Bingham or Robert Milkins in

:58:31.:58:33.

the final tomorrow. The second semifinal to come, Bingham or

:58:34.:58:40.

Milkins is due out there after seven o'clock. It's a good day for Judd

:58:41.:58:46.

Trump. He will be happy to have crossed the line in the end, and

:58:47.:58:52.

into his first Welsh Open final. It seemed he wanted to do it the hard

:58:53.:58:56.

way at one point. But he just had that class, when it mattered?

:58:57.:59:01.

It was a case of him knocking in good long pots which got him in. He

:59:02.:59:08.

scored better. That was the difference compared to the rest of

:59:09.:59:12.

the tournament. Scott Donaldson had his chances and will be very

:59:13.:59:16.

disappointed. He would be pleased on one hand, it is a double-edged

:59:17.:59:21.

sword, he will be pleased he has the semifinal and he will look back and

:59:22.:59:25.

go, I had a lot of chances. If I played my top game, I could have

:59:26.:59:29.

been in the final but it was not to be. He's a young man and I'm sure he

:59:30.:59:33.

will have plenty of opportunities and will need to take positives out

:59:34.:59:38.

of this. Willie Thorne used the word, workmanlike, describing Judd

:59:39.:59:42.

Trump's performance today, what was the difference between them? The

:59:43.:59:46.

thing was, when Judd got in, he scored enough to win friends in one

:59:47.:59:54.

visit, at least three of them, anyway. His long game, porting some

:59:55.:59:57.

great long ones to get in, going back into the frame. -- win friends.

:59:58.:00:01.

Scott Donaldson helped him, with those chances. That was the thing

:00:02.:00:06.

for him today, he did not take control. Let's hear from our first

:00:07.:00:12.

finalist at the 2017 Welsh Open. Judd Trump is with Rob Walker.

:00:13.:00:19.

Many congratulations, your first Welsh Open final, it looked smooth

:00:20.:00:23.

early on and then he edged back into the match? Yes, I think the game

:00:24.:00:28.

changed a little. He missed some today, and towards the middle of the

:00:29.:00:32.

match, he kind of got away with some bad safeties. It put me under some

:00:33.:00:41.

pressure in the end, to make a good break to establish authority, going

:00:42.:00:45.

5-3, he missed the ball in the last. He will be a bit disappointed but at

:00:46.:00:50.

1.I could see his confidence, so it was important for me to shut down

:00:51.:00:53.

the game. It was nice for your family and friends, you taking part

:00:54.:00:57.

in a ranking final in Britain, a lot of your success has come in from

:00:58.:01:02.

overseas, at China and you won the International, this is close to home

:01:03.:01:06.

so it will be a special occasion for the entire family tomorrow? Yes, it

:01:07.:01:11.

is always special when you reach the semifinal, the final is a different

:01:12.:01:15.

atmosphere, you thrive off it. For me, playing in the final here, my

:01:16.:01:20.

home tournament, that would be an amazing achievement to win it. This

:01:21.:01:24.

season has been bubbling, you said you've be the most consistent of the

:01:25.:01:28.

top players this season, it's taken people to be at their best to beat

:01:29.:01:35.

you. A big one is coming, no finer place to do it here than tomorrow? I

:01:36.:01:38.

think I've improved this season, it's taken people at the top of

:01:39.:01:42.

their game to beat me. Every tournament I've gone into, I've been

:01:43.:01:46.

fully prepared, giving my best shot. I feel I've improved this season and

:01:47.:01:51.

if I can win it at two ranking events in a season, it's an extra

:01:52.:01:56.

step up. Any preference question mark Stuart Bingham or Rob Milkins?

:01:57.:02:02.

I would probably rather play Rob Milkins, it's his first time, more

:02:03.:02:06.

pressure on him, but they are both good. I would expect it to be close,

:02:07.:02:11.

Stuart is the favourite but Rob will put up a good fight. Well done, see

:02:12.:02:13.

you in the final tomorrow. If you work in a marketing

:02:14.:02:22.

department the final you are opening for is Judd Trump against Stuart

:02:23.:02:24.

Bingham but if you want a spectacle you are not so sure? Yes, everyone

:02:25.:02:31.

is seeing Judd Trump and Stuart Bingham will be the final but Robert

:02:32.:02:35.

Milkins plays very similarly to Judd Trump when he is playing well, likes

:02:36.:02:39.

to attack the ball, go for his shots. He does not hang about

:02:40.:02:44.

either. An exciting player. Stuart Bingham has learnt the fine art of

:02:45.:02:51.

the game and he plays the more percentage Schneider, everything he

:02:52.:02:56.

does there is method. He knocks in great long pots, scores well and

:02:57.:03:00.

when there is nothing on he placed the right shot. Robert Milkins tries

:03:01.:03:04.

to push the boat out which makes an exciting. Can Donaldson bounce back

:03:05.:03:13.

from this? Key will be bitterly disappointed without a shadow of a

:03:14.:03:18.

doubt but he will go away from this, dear to back home in Scotland with

:03:19.:03:22.

everyone congratulating him, he will give himself a pat on the back and

:03:23.:03:25.

say hang on, I did all right and can have something to build on. He has a

:03:26.:03:30.
