Sometimes I look around and I think, it is where I want to be and I am

:00:36.:00:45.

not going to complain about it. I am just going to get on with it. I have

:00:46.:00:53.

a good chance as any. Usually when I watch the quarterfinals, I am in the

:00:54.:00:59.

house. Definitely better than I was ten years ago. All are fine for the

:01:00.:01:05.

world Championships, I am up for it. I came in here and I felt fresh, but

:01:06.:01:12.

not as much as I wanted to be. That showed in my first two matches. The

:01:13.:01:23.

one thing I need to do is keep it simple to play the shots. A lot

:01:24.:01:29.

better than two years ago. To go on here, qualify and win two matches is

:01:30.:01:34.

unbelievable. Good evening. We are past the halfway mark their in

:01:35.:01:39.

Sheffield. We are hours away from the quarterfinals. What a sense of

:01:40.:01:46.

anticipation here. Six places have been taken, two more will be taking

:01:47.:01:55.

this evening. It's the last deciding sessions in the second round

:01:56.:02:02.

matches. It's not just the crowd that are excited, it is our special

:02:03.:02:05.

guest as well because I am absolutely thrilled to be able to

:02:06.:02:15.

introduce to you the winner of off's eem jacket. Yes, indeed. Will you

:02:16.:02:24.

please welcome Yorkshire and Sheffield's champion Danny Willett.

:02:25.:02:46.

Wow! Danny, no jacket required to night. It is a day off, but can you

:02:47.:02:59.

imagine, could you have anticipated your win at Augusta would impact

:03:00.:03:05.

your life and everyone else's. You don't enter you get back. Thousands

:03:06.:03:13.

of people in Yorkshire, it is brilliant to have sport flourishing

:03:14.:03:19.

in this county. Has it taken some getting used to? Yes. We try to have

:03:20.:03:26.

a quiet weekend. It is great to be back at the Crucible. When we look

:03:27.:03:29.

at you receiving your green jacket and finishing off at Augusta, one

:03:30.:03:34.

question I want to ask you, when you got to the 16th tee, you know you

:03:35.:03:39.

have the lead. You did not show any panic. How did you keep it together

:03:40.:03:44.

for the last three holes? Yorkshire greats. -- great. You do, you know?

:03:45.:03:54.

You dig deep. There are a lot of people supporting you. All of a

:03:55.:04:00.

sudden we were in the lead by a couple. Johnny was brilliant.

:04:01.:04:07.

Fortunately enough we won by three. You have had a couple of weeks off

:04:08.:04:11.

to get to know your baby son. When do you get back to work? Wednesday I

:04:12.:04:17.

hit a ball, which will be interesting. You just enjoy it. If

:04:18.:04:23.

it never happens again, it never happens, but we have taken the time

:04:24.:04:28.

off to enjoy. When we come back we will hopefully be fitter and

:04:29.:04:33.

stronger. We will prep for the next one and see what happens. I know you

:04:34.:04:38.

are a big snooker fan. It is not the first time you have come to the

:04:39.:04:44.

Crucible. What is the attraction? The similarities. It is just a

:04:45.:04:52.

mental approach to everything that goes on. It is a difficult game. A

:04:53.:05:00.

lot of Demons go on inside your head and on the golf course it is the

:05:01.:05:04.

same. It is just appreciating how good these guys are at what they do.

:05:05.:05:10.

I have tried to play a Fu shops and you realise how difficult it is.

:05:11.:05:14.

These guys make it look easy. You sit back and enjoy. You sit back and

:05:15.:05:21.

enjoy it. Ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of British commentary, thank

:05:22.:05:27.

you so much for what you did. Let us remind Danny and everyone else what

:05:28.:05:31.

a wonderful session running on Sun of all and Barry Hawkins gave us

:05:32.:05:37.

yesterday. The second session is always the big one in my eyes. He

:05:38.:05:50.

had missed it. Free ball. What a turnaround!

:05:51.:06:03.

He will be wondering how he lost that one. Wonderful. Wonderful

:06:04.:06:18.

visit. Very positive from Barry Hawkins. 8-5 now, Barry Hawkins. He

:06:19.:06:32.

has reduced his arrears to one with one more frame to play in this

:06:33.:06:40.

session. Stood up to everything that Ronnie has thrown at him this

:06:41.:06:45.

afternoon. Ronnie will shake his hand and say, well played. Barry

:06:46.:06:50.

Hawkins will be well pleased. He will take a two frame advantage.

:06:51.:06:55.

Can't wait for the second session. We can't wait either. The players

:06:56.:07:01.

are in position. These guys are going to try and tame the Greens and

:07:02.:07:07.

book their place in the quarterfinals. We could be in for a

:07:08.:07:11.

storming session on both tables. That will suit Mr Walker.

:07:12.:07:19.

All yours. Good evening. How fantastic to have a sprinkling of

:07:20.:07:25.

Yorkshire's sporting stardust on this arena to night! Danny, everyone

:07:26.:07:31.

else knows, this is the hottest ticket in town. Welcome to the

:07:32.:07:38.

climax of day ten, here at the Betfred Snooker World Championship.

:07:39.:07:52.

Please welcome first of all a three-time ranking event winner who

:07:53.:07:55.

stormed into the semis here three years ago. He arrives here in

:07:56.:08:00.

cracking form, having made two major finals in the last month. Poised and

:08:01.:08:06.

ready for a huge session snooker to night, he is quite simply Ricky

:08:07.:08:07.

Walden! And his opponents, one of the finest

:08:08.:08:33.

bolts men -- sportsmen the country has ever produced. Here he is three

:08:34.:08:40.

frames away from an 11th win. John Higgins!

:08:41.:08:54.

And on table two, please welcome a player bidding for a fourth

:08:55.:09:01.

consecutive Crucible quarterfinal. This famous arena brings out the

:09:02.:09:05.

best in him. His game has flourished since he won his first ranking title

:09:06.:09:11.

down under four years ago. What an opportunity to night for Barry

:09:12.:09:12.

Hawkins! And his opponents, 23 years after

:09:13.:09:40.

his first Crucible debut he is still performing at a top level. Five

:09:41.:09:46.

times a champion of the world, blink and you will miss him. Rocket Ronnie

:09:47.:09:58.

O'Sullivan! Time to get going. On BBC Two we

:09:59.:10:06.

will take you straight to table two and share this deciding session.

:10:07.:10:12.

What a night. Lots of snooker left this evening.

:10:13.:10:28.

What a pleasure it is to see Danny Willett watching this game. We have

:10:29.:10:36.

the worlds greatest ever player and who has won the Masters. Last

:10:37.:10:42.

session, first of 13 wins. The pot success rate is important.

:10:43.:11:14.

Harry Hawkins is to frames in front. That is so high for 16 frames of

:11:15.:11:30.

snooker over two sessions. The success is pretty close to. You

:11:31.:11:36.

would think he would be closer than that. First mistake from O'Sullivan,

:11:37.:11:41.

but he does not appear to be able to get onto the black from here.

:11:42.:11:52.

He has had a look at the plant into the right corner. Just getting past

:11:53.:12:00.

the top rate, I think. -- top red. It is a touchy one at the start of

:12:01.:12:20.

the match. You have got to play that shot, but

:12:21.:12:50.

on the other hand you wish you did not have two at the start of a

:12:51.:12:56.

match. They are both a bit edgy, but they will be settling down and they

:12:57.:13:03.

will be OK. Very difficult to pot this. You can't see enough of the

:13:04.:13:10.

ball. Very difficult also to get onto a colour. It is a telling

:13:11.:13:16.

safety shot from Harry. He will do well to get away with this.

:13:17.:13:25.

Just trying to play a containing safety. He may be able to cut this

:13:26.:13:32.

in. A bit surprised Barry did not play a

:13:33.:14:00.

little bit harder than that. He knew he was running into balls. That is a

:14:01.:14:09.

reprieve for Ronnie O'Sullivan. Sure he felt ready to score a few points

:14:10.:14:20.

there. It is quite a thin cut there. Barry Nice to give attention to the

:14:21.:14:25.

pink first. Hoping to get onto the pink, but it is in the worst

:14:26.:14:33.

position. It is a good hit. Very good. It clicked off of the green,

:14:34.:14:49.

but still a good hit. The pack of five reds just behind the pink. He

:14:50.:14:56.

has be careful he does not push that one towards the corner pocket. That

:14:57.:15:00.

is what he is going to be playing off of, the gap on the right-hand

:15:01.:15:10.

side. Slightly misjudged it through the gap. I'd then think so. -- I

:15:11.:15:18.

don't think so. Barry may be forced to go for this

:15:19.:15:35.

red because it is not great playing safety down that side of the table.

:15:36.:15:45.

I think he can play off of the one next to the pink and leave the cue

:15:46.:15:55.

ball further down near the pocket. He would have two do something with

:15:56.:16:08.

those three reds. That will take it a little bit wider towards the brown

:16:09.:16:16.

area. He won't go off of this red unless there is no other shops. On

:16:17.:16:32.

the pink. -- no other shot. It is important to get the red. That is

:16:33.:16:42.

how the game goes. Playing that shot, you would think he is

:16:43.:16:46.

guaranteed to be on the pink. Once again, he has got nothing. You can

:16:47.:16:53.

only see the pink. He has got to get this right.

:16:54.:17:22.

First chance then for Ronnie O'Sullivan. Big close on the

:17:23.:17:33.

cushion. You can see he is bridging there with his fingers. Holding him

:17:34.:17:46.

steady. If he played the gap, he did very well. This time Ronnie is

:17:47.:17:51.

unfortunate not to get onto a colour. Look at the gap he has

:17:52.:17:55.

through there. There wasn't a lot of room. There have been two excellent

:17:56.:18:02.

pots, one from each player. Both with a bit of misfortune. They had

:18:03.:18:07.

to play safe off of. The red Barry would like to get out

:18:08.:18:22.

here is the one directly behind the black. Can't see that there is any

:18:23.:18:27.

path to that. He has hit three cushions and gone a

:18:28.:18:55.

little bit wide. They will be the ex-gay of a lifetime -- it will be

:18:56.:19:06.

the escape of a lifetime. The first clear-cut opportunity.

:19:07.:19:15.

Little bit short of pace. He may decide to play the pink and go round

:19:16.:19:30.

the back of the green. He generates so much spin, Ronnie, with precious

:19:31.:19:35.

little power. That shot could have been played a lot harder this week.

:19:36.:19:42.

His timing though, Ronnie, is exceptional.

:19:43.:19:54.

He must be one of the best strikers we have ever seen. He is really

:19:55.:20:04.

into. Unlike most players, Terry, who tend to be parallel, Ronnie is

:20:05.:20:11.

cueing quite high on the ball. It amazes me how he gets the spin on

:20:12.:20:14.

when he plays a run-through. That is how he has always played,

:20:15.:20:31.

even when he was a youngster. He gets the spin on all right. He pots

:20:32.:20:45.

the balls very quickly. There is no perfect player and there never will

:20:46.:20:46.

be. I think Murphy and Mark Selby are

:20:47.:21:16.

similar in that respect. But they don't strike the ball the same as

:21:17.:21:23.

Ronnie. They are trying to do the same thing, but they do it

:21:24.:21:26.

differently. I saw Ronnie wins there. I think you try to brush away

:21:27.:21:34.

the two reds below the pink. He just missed the kiss and was not happy

:21:35.:21:38.

about it. I think the one above the black will pot now. In a matter of

:21:39.:21:50.

moments, Ronnie is up to 34 ahead and counting. Now the black is in

:21:51.:21:54.

play. This is a framing opportunity. This red puts him in the snooker

:21:55.:23:22.

required stage. He may decide to storm off of the cushion and put one

:23:23.:23:29.

of these two reds into play. I don't think there will be any heroics here

:23:30.:23:39.

with this red. He has the perfect angle to drop it in. He is the best

:23:40.:23:50.

in most departments. I don't think there is a better player playing

:23:51.:23:52.

along the top cushion than Ronnie. One else other than has already had

:23:53.:24:09.

for centuries in this tournament. -- four. Five leading as an individual

:24:10.:24:24.

player I think is John Higgins. 57 tournament centuries this year, so I

:24:25.:24:28.

am sure the record is going to be smashed. Considering the players

:24:29.:24:34.

have been complaining about the tables and they are making all these

:24:35.:24:45.

centuries. Just the start O'Sullivan was looking for.

:24:46.:24:55.

If he makes this entry here, it will be equal to his record of two years

:24:56.:25:05.

ago. We still have a week to play yet.

:25:06.:25:19.

Just a little overrun. It might be the end of the century. Oh, what a

:25:20.:25:37.

shame. No century. Barry Hawkins unluckily, but Ronnie O'Sullivan did

:25:38.:25:41.

what he needed to do. He took the opening frame.

:25:42.:25:46.

And Ken Doherty joins us to look at this match and it looks as if he

:25:47.:25:50.

means business this evening, Ken. That is just what he needed.

:25:51.:25:58.

When he came to the table, the pink was tied up. His cue ball control is

:25:59.:26:06.

fantastic. Should mention that the standard of this match has been

:26:07.:26:10.

extraordinary. When you look at the percentages, I think it was 98 for

:26:11.:26:14.

Barry Hawkins and 96 for Ronnie O'Sullivan. It was incredible.

:26:15.:26:21.

Incredible from both players. Barry stopped with him. He had a chance,

:26:22.:26:27.

but was a bit unlucky. It is NIP and tuck. It will be a fight to the

:26:28.:26:34.

line. Barry has upped it against Ronnie O'Sullivan and his safety

:26:35.:26:38.

have been tiptop and it has to be to keep Ronnie O'Sullivan at bay. It

:26:39.:26:44.

has been excellent so far, as we expected it to be. O'Sullivan, one

:26:45.:26:46.

behind. Ronnie O'Sullivan starting the

:26:47.:27:07.

second frame left-handed. I wonder if he will stay there and play

:27:08.:27:13.

left-handed all the time. He has done that before, I think, with

:27:14.:27:18.

Peter Ebdon. Played left-handed all the way through.

:27:19.:27:28.

Up and down the end, the double-kiss is in the way. He has to be careful.

:27:29.:27:40.

Avoided it. Just played at a pace. A chance for the red to get out of the

:27:41.:27:43.

way. That is twice Ronnie has played a

:27:44.:28:08.

shot like that. Both times very close to the middle pocket. He is

:28:09.:28:17.

having a look here. I don't think there is anything on, is there? I do

:28:18.:28:21.

think there is a good safety on. Coming back towards the reds. He has

:28:22.:28:32.

not got a pot or a tidy safety to play.

:28:33.:29:29.

The second time Barry has hit ball on the way down. Makes a difference.

:29:30.:29:39.

Comfortable safety shop. He has options. Looks good.

:29:40.:29:55.

It is amazing. Ronnie O'Sullivan is in front on every single statistic.

:29:56.:30:06.

It shows you how well Barry has had to play to stay with him.

:30:07.:30:32.

Behind the ball line. He's very pleased to have knocked that in. The

:30:33.:30:43.

ball is not on its spot. No problem getting into at least one of the

:30:44.:30:44.

pockets. He went for the pack. O! It looked

:30:45.:31:07.

perfect, but a red kissed another and blocked his way. It doesn't

:31:08.:31:12.

matter how good you are, Terry. You've got to have a bit of fortune

:31:13.:31:17.

now and again when playing a shot my cat. Barry has gone into the reds

:31:18.:31:23.

already on one or two occasions this evening. If he isn't leaving

:31:24.:31:30.

anything onto the left corner, he can roll this red into the middle

:31:31.:31:35.

pocket. But if he is leaving anything on... And it goes into the

:31:36.:31:41.

middle as well. He's a little bit thick on that.

:31:42.:31:50.

It's very rare that a player plays it slow to get onto the blue from

:31:51.:31:58.

here. It is very dangerous. In a club match, you would be trying to

:31:59.:32:03.

get the cue ball behind the blue, but it is far too risky at this

:32:04.:32:07.

level. If you don't get the snooker, you leave the red.

:32:08.:32:36.

Should give him one point for that, he got so close to it!

:32:37.:32:58.

The safety shot, swing it around three cushions to get it behind

:32:59.:33:03.

Green and yellow, is better than taking the long pot on.

:33:04.:33:24.

A very strange set of reds there, this early in a frame. All on one

:33:25.:33:33.

side of the table. Another tester for Ronnie O'Sullivan.

:33:34.:33:50.

He went for the six side of that. I thought it would be thin. He's

:33:51.:33:57.

brought the red down this end of the table again. Not sure if he going

:33:58.:34:06.

for the pink into the middle. Saying probably two cushions. Try to get

:34:07.:34:11.

somewhere near a straight pot into the middle pocket. I don't think he

:34:12.:34:17.

can play it slow enough to hold for the pink or blue to the right-hand

:34:18.:34:19.

side pockets. That was the problem. You couldn't

:34:20.:34:41.

really play in slow enough. He had the ball into the corner that he

:34:42.:34:46.

didn't play for. It made the pot a little easier at that speed, I

:34:47.:34:50.

think. To power off the side cushion. Maybe made the shot 20%

:34:51.:34:54.

more difficult. Rest success. Barry Hawkins is

:34:55.:35:15.

exceptional. One of the best players in the game with the rest. What an

:35:16.:35:23.

angle on this red to play a cannon into the two reds just behind the

:35:24.:35:27.

black. Or he could screw across to the pink. He's playing the deep

:35:28.:35:31.

screw, so playing for pink or blue. You could see Ronnie O'Sullivan and

:35:32.:35:46.

then 100%. Of course, he has only played seven. Barry Hawkins has

:35:47.:35:56.

played 15, and got 14 of them. You would have taken two out of 15,

:35:57.:36:00.

would you, with the rest? I wasn't too bad with the rest! Obviously,

:36:01.:36:09.

the middle read of these will pot. -- the middle red. It doesn't look

:36:10.:36:16.

like it from this position. You can see that middle red will pass the

:36:17.:36:21.

black. Maybe enough to stay on the black.

:36:22.:36:25.

That's the problem with those shots. A little bit tricky. The focus

:36:26.:36:47.

normally is about, for these players of this standard, is probably 70% on

:36:48.:36:53.

position and 30 on the pot. That changes when the pot is a bit

:36:54.:36:57.

difficult. Then you lose position, and have to play another good shot

:36:58.:37:01.

to get back into it. That doesn't look great. May be able to pot the

:37:02.:37:09.

red that is quite close to the baulk. He cannot do a lot with the

:37:10.:37:16.

cue ball, because he is hampered slightly. Barry is doing his best to

:37:17.:37:21.

create an opening, but as yet has not had a good case. Screw through

:37:22.:37:25.

the gap to get onto the pink opposite the middle. That's gone

:37:26.:37:31.

wrong! REFEREE: Foul. Barry Hawkins, 19.

:37:32.:37:42.

Ronnie O'Sullivan, four. Barry admitted to the foul. I don't think

:37:43.:37:53.

Brendan spotted it. Did you? All players, well, most of them, would

:37:54.:37:55.

admit to a foul. Like footballers! He may have touched the red coming

:37:56.:38:08.

back. The real bonus for Ronnie, to come

:38:09.:38:25.

back to the table so soon. Barry was in the balls there. He thought he

:38:26.:38:30.

would be facing a large deficit. As it is, he is favourite to win this

:38:31.:38:32.

frame. That is unusual. O'Sullivan

:38:33.:39:04.

misjudging the line of the cue ball therefore position. He just got into

:39:05.:39:12.

it slightly too low. Still on it. We'll have to play a good shot to

:39:13.:39:15.

get on the next red. Lovely shot. Just slightly hampered.

:39:16.:39:32.

It was a good shot. Had to play the thin cut, rather than what he wanted

:39:33.:39:34.

to play. Looks like it's going to be

:39:35.:40:03.

straightforward for Ronnie, when that foul came from Barry for --

:40:04.:40:10.

Barry Hawkins. He's played some very good shots to keep this effort

:40:11.:40:12.

going. You can see the red left of the

:40:13.:40:25.

black is the one he's looking at. But where will the cue ball go from

:40:26.:40:27.

there? Doesn't fancy it, so he's looking at

:40:28.:40:40.

this three-ball plant. Taking the white behind the brown and green at

:40:41.:40:47.

the same time. Fabulous shot! Very good plant, when you consider that

:40:48.:40:56.

all of those balls... He was concentrating more on the white,

:40:57.:41:01.

though, than the pot, probably. That is one of those one month type of

:41:02.:41:11.

plants! You are right. You can see where the cue ball has finished up.

:41:12.:41:23.

It will not affect the brown. Ronnie seems a bit reluctant to try and

:41:24.:41:29.

roll up behind the brown. Even if he leaves this read on from where the

:41:30.:41:31.

brown is, he needs a pot. And this is a straight forward type

:41:32.:42:04.

of safety shot. With this red just a foot out of the left corner, this

:42:05.:42:12.

certainly could go wrong. He had to fit it -- to hit its thin. He hit it

:42:13.:42:19.

much too thick. He hasn't been lucky. That was a poor effort from

:42:20.:42:21.

Barry. He will know that. Six points in it. You feel that he

:42:22.:42:36.

can't make a mistake again. He's going to somehow need at least

:42:37.:43:15.

two of these reds. With the black not being on the spot, getting onto

:43:16.:43:21.

the pink or blue from these last few reds in a few moments' time could be

:43:22.:43:25.

difficult. He is not guaranteed to win the frame at this visit. He

:43:26.:43:31.

would like to bring one of these into play. He's so good left-handed,

:43:32.:43:35.

he may be able to screw behind it off one cushion. He will play this

:43:36.:43:44.

as a shot to nothing, I'm sure. 26 in it. He does need the red as well.

:43:45.:43:59.

Where is the red going? He will not be happy with that. He called it. A

:44:00.:44:10.

big difference if the black was on its spot. Barry is looking to get

:44:11.:44:20.

the black onto its own spot straight away, which makes the last red a bit

:44:21.:44:25.

easier. This is a chance to pinch the frame.

:44:26.:44:48.

He's on it, if he wants to play this pot. It's got to be dead weight, I

:44:49.:44:57.

should think. Doesn't need the black to go on and clinch the frame, but

:44:58.:45:03.

you just feel he's got a better chance with this red going in if he

:45:04.:45:09.

plays it gentle. If he misses it, he will guarantee to lose this frame. A

:45:10.:45:19.

really tough shot for Barry. A bit of positive cue action on that, that

:45:20.:45:25.

takes some doing. If he can get nicely on the yellow, the green

:45:26.:45:29.

really isn't a problem for a left-handed player. It would be for

:45:30.:45:35.

a right-handed player. Is that a bit short of pace? That was a poor shot,

:45:36.:45:39.

Barry. He will be distraught with that one. The problem is there, he

:45:40.:45:49.

had to put a touch of stun on and a lot of running side. Sometimes you

:45:50.:45:53.

feel a bit frightened of the running stun -- the running side going too

:45:54.:45:57.

fast and you would be up near the green or something. If he doesn't

:45:58.:46:05.

win this frame now, he will be disappointed. Just ten points behind

:46:06.:46:07.

now. It's just a matter of how he will

:46:08.:46:28.

get on the green. There you go! Will he get the reward for playing the

:46:29.:46:31.

safety? It looks like it. The only unfortunate thing with that

:46:32.:46:44.

shot is that it has pushed the green leather brown. Should Barry leave

:46:45.:46:49.

the yellow on, it will be tough to get onto the green. I fancy he might

:46:50.:46:53.

miss this a couple of times before he hits it.

:46:54.:47:00.

The three-cushion escape. Absolutely lovely. He will be pretty pleased

:47:01.:47:13.

where the green is. Can Ronnie manufacture an angle to get onto the

:47:14.:47:17.

green? He's going to look where he can pot it directly. Doesn't look

:47:18.:47:22.

like there's a lot of angle on the pot. A bit unlucky there from Barry.

:47:23.:47:31.

When he hit it with a lot of pace, because he's given a free ball

:47:32.:47:35.

away... You can see the yellow is almost straight.

:47:36.:47:51.

He's just looked at the green into the black pocket, so whether he will

:47:52.:47:58.

do a stun run through... That tells me that the green will probably pot.

:47:59.:48:04.

It is a certain snooker, but he wanted to be dead straight on the

:48:05.:48:07.

green. I think the pot is a bit risky. That's why he played the run

:48:08.:48:14.

up. He's so disappointed he didn't finish straight on the green there.

:48:15.:48:22.

Not the first time in this frame that he's put too much spin on the

:48:23.:48:29.

ball. Something we are not used to seeing with Ronnie O'Sullivan. It is

:48:30.:48:37.

tense out there. This is one of those where you have to hit it half

:48:38.:48:39.

ball and hard. He's got the distance. He's got the

:48:40.:48:49.

safety shot. Very good. Well played. Didn't put Barry in any trouble

:48:50.:49:19.

there with that safety shot. It was just a case of gaining the

:49:20.:49:20.

initiative. I was just about to say, he would do

:49:21.:49:55.

well to get this faith. Not only has he got it safe, he's snooker at him,

:49:56.:50:00.

I think! There's been some great safety shots in this frame.

:50:01.:50:13.

Not quite. Has he got behind the pink? He was playing for behind the

:50:14.:50:19.

black. He hit down the bottom of the ball

:50:20.:50:35.

with a touch of left-hand side. We'll hope to cover it with the

:50:36.:50:43.

blue, which he hasn't won. So half a chance for Barry Hawkins.

:50:44.:50:58.

Good starter. Means he's slowed down a bit. This will be a bit of a steel

:50:59.:51:10.

if he gets this one. He's had a few in this match so far, hasn't he?

:51:11.:51:17.

He's pinched a few. Absolutely. There's four frames I can think of.

:51:18.:51:21.

Looks a certainty to clear up now, and take that to frame advantage

:51:22.:51:29.

again. He would be -- Ronnie Wood be a bit aggrieved that he's lost this

:51:30.:51:31.

frame. He hasn't done a lot wrong. Steady as a rock on the shot. A

:51:32.:52:01.

great frame to watch. They have both played well. He has his two frame

:52:02.:52:07.

advantage back again. It looked as if O'Sullivan was going to level up.

:52:08.:52:16.

Such a test of resolve for Barry Hawkins, who hasn't beaten Ronnie in

:52:17.:52:21.

14 years. He's certainly had a fuse thrashings from The Rocket over the

:52:22.:52:26.

last few New Year 's. But he is keeping himself together. A great

:52:27.:52:33.

frame from Barry, just to steady the ship a bit. A mistake from

:52:34.:52:37.

O'Sullivan when he was on the yellow. He should have put a lot of

:52:38.:52:41.

distance between green and brown when he was laying at the snooker,

:52:42.:52:47.

but didn't, and Barry got out of it. That will help Barry. And a

:52:48.:52:50.

wonderful piece of sportsmanship as well. Indeed. We see this a lot in

:52:51.:52:58.

snooker, but it always gladdens your heart, when someone says, it was me,

:52:59.:53:04.

guv. I am not sure what the referee saw, but certainly Barry Hawkins

:53:05.:53:09.

owned up to it, and it was a nice gesture. That is one of the great

:53:10.:53:14.

things about our sport. You were telling me how difficult it is in a

:53:15.:53:20.

best of 25 frames match. You have got to beat Ronnie O'Sullivan not

:53:21.:53:25.

just once, but in effect, over three sessions. And he has stood up to it

:53:26.:53:31.

so far, Barry Hawkins. He has been amazing, very self assured and shown

:53:32.:53:36.

a lot of confidence. To be honest, all of those other matches, over

:53:37.:53:42.

those 14 years when he hasn't beaten him, he probably isn't thinking

:53:43.:53:45.

about that. You have to go out as if it is your first time playing him,

:53:46.:53:50.

and enjoy the challenge of the World Championship. This is why you want

:53:51.:53:53.

to play snooker, to play the best players in the world on the big

:53:54.:53:58.

stage. He has certainly put his game up there with O'Sullivan. Frame 19

:53:59.:54:03.

on the way. COMMENTATOR: That is a very good

:54:04.:54:09.

shot. Had to swing it round the book colour there. Ronnie would be a bit

:54:10.:54:17.

frustrated. He had two or three chances in that first frame, and

:54:18.:54:23.

then that shot where he didn't quite play the green right, as Ken

:54:24.:54:26.

mentioned. He is cueing very well. Very positive. When you are playing

:54:27.:54:51.

Ronnie O'Sullivan, when you are going for those, it is in the back

:54:52.:54:56.

of your mind, if I miss this, I could sit down while. It does put

:54:57.:55:02.

pressure on. At the end of the day, you have to play the right shot who

:55:03.:55:06.

ever you are playing. As long as you are confident, you've got to go for

:55:07.:55:07.

it. He would have preferred the cue ball

:55:08.:55:54.

to be a few inches over to the right. Then you can go across the

:55:55.:56:04.

blue to get position. He played that well. One red is definitely

:56:05.:56:13.

available in the left corner. Two up from the black, there's two read and

:56:14.:56:19.

then the one above that is available.

:56:20.:56:27.

If he can get through for the black here, he's in business.

:56:28.:56:43.

Just not quite straight. He can just flick off the red and get nicely on

:56:44.:56:56.

the black. Not too sure if he is straight on the black, if he can get

:56:57.:56:58.

onto a red now. He can play for the red to the left

:56:59.:57:10.

of the pink into the green pocket. I think that's about all! Got a cut

:57:11.:57:14.

on. Baulk colour available. Well, our hour-long taste of this

:57:15.:57:41.

session is coming to a conclusion, because we have to leave you on BBC

:57:42.:57:48.

Two. On table one, John Higgins is now leading 11-7. They have shared

:57:49.:57:53.

the opening two frames between them. The concluding sessions continue

:57:54.:58:00.

online. Just go to the connected TVs. I will be back on our

:58:01.:58:06.

highlights programme at 11:35pm. We will leave you at the Crucible on

:58:07.:58:15.

the night that the green jacket star approached the green Bay 's. It

:58:16.:58:18.

would appear that Danny Willits is pretty handy with club all cue!

:58:19.:58:23.
