Yes, good afternoon and welcome to Sportscene Results. Money for

nothing was the other show, right? Rest assured we are bringing

everlast minute worth of value. Will well come gentlemen. We start with

the latest from Ibrox. It is third versus third bottom in the

Premiership. And a bit of a surprise scoreline there. It is Rangers, nil,

Motherwell, one. MMoult with the goal there.

A couple of yellow cards there for Rangers, Waghorn and Toral.

Now to Hamilton Academical against St Johnstone.

An incredible altercation has everybody talking. It is 0-0 here.

But it is not about the football but about a fight that happened on the

pitch. It was Danny Swanson and Richard Foster, an incredible

altercation between the two St Johnstone Teammates at it again at

each other. Going for each other, we don't know what sparked it off. But

kicks, pulls, puncheses. Incredible scenes in the tunnel as Tommy Wright

from the Hamilton Accies all got involved. Incribl scenes. Then it

got calmed down as the referee stood on the pitch and everybody went down

the tunnel. We were all asking what happened next. What happened, Danny

Swanson and Richard Foster of St John Stone have been sent off. So

they are going into the second half with nine men.

Two players from the same team. Incredible. Tommy Wright,

fascinating to see what he makes it of. Paul eighton yellow carded and

the assistant manager has been sent to the stand. So quite incredible.

Hamilton Accies did OK. But the St Johnstone players are emerging now.

You can hear the boos, here at New Douglas Park. But quite incredible.

Now to Inverness, Caley Thistle against Kilmarnock.

Yes, it is 1-1 here. McKay putting Inverness in front. He got his head

down, drove into the box. And then body thumped a ball home. Inverness

then looked deflated. But then a cross which was not dealt with, it

fell to McKay and he found the net. Greg Tansy was unlucky with a drive.

Jones has been a threat. Chris Boyd missed a couple of

chances. But expect more in the second half with Inverness desperate

for a rare three points. And Alastair Lamond is watching Partick

Thistle and Ross County. Partick Thistle came into the match

in good form. Five matches unbeaten. But Ross County more than matched

them. It has been about the mediocrity. A couple of shots from

either side on goal. But nothing to test the goal keepers. Ross County

had a couple of decent penalty shouts.

Then a couple of minutes before half-time it looked like Craig

Curran looked down after a challenge from Ryan Edwards but the TV

pictures showed that as soft. So county coming close to a goal. A

Marcus Fraser header. But county, the slightly the better of the

sides. But pretty uninspiring stuff. Down to the championship, to the

bottom two clubs, St Mirren and Ayr United.

David had this been on the dance floor it would have been a ballroom

blitz. A four goal blitz. Mallan volleyed

in the first. Then Gary Mackenzie bundled the ball. And McGinn too,

then Kyle Magennis angling one in. On this form, St Mirren are at four,

Ayr United nil. And over to the Dunfermline Athletic

versus Hibernian. A daisy cutter, along the ground

beyond Shaun Murdoch. No chance. The homeside have not

really been in the game. Paul McMullan was quick to pounce on

the goal but could not get a punch in to equalise for Dunfermline. No

Rocket stuff here this afternoon. Dunfermline Dover chartie Mann.

Morton are held 0-0 by Dumbarton. Jim thank you Duffy came on to the

pitch at the beginning of the game. A standing ovation obviously after

what happened mid-week. I spoke to Jim before the game. He says he is

embarrassed by the whole thing but would not have done anything

differently from what he did. Interestingly, the Morton people are

expecting, obviously Hibs are there next Saturday. They are not changing

security arrangements, they believe that both managers will be in the

stands for that game. But this game, no chance.

latched on to a ball over the top. Squeezed home a fine finish from ten

yards out. Queen of the South took time to regain composure but then

the sucker punch with Steve be Dobbie put through by Thomas, making

no mistake, slamming the ball home from 12 minutes out two minutes

before the break. A cracking first 45 minutes.

Now to Falkirk Stadium, the Bairns against Raith Rovers.

Well it is 0-0 but two great saves to ensure that Raith Rovers reached

the interval. The Kirkcaldy club have worked hard.

They have scored two away league goals since winning here at Falkirk.

By contrast The Bairns have knocked the ball around with pace and

composure. Craig hit the bar earlier on.

Around an angle wide but Falkirk unable to convert the pressure into

goals. Up until now, that is. Another goal in the championship

basement battle. It is for St Mirren. A lovely goal.

Lewis Morgan switched on to it. From 18 yards, picking the spot. Firing

it low and hard. Here it is St Mirren, five, and Ayr United, nil.

Our cameraman is a fan of St Mirren. He will be wearing his lucky cap all

week. So, the talking point, St Johnston

down to nine men and two players sent off for fighting.

Sniechlth It is incredible. We have not seen all of it. No. But

bits of it. We can see what has been happening. Somebody throws a punch,

somebody kicks somebody else. But the Hamilton players got involved

and Crawford was booked. They are being good Samaritans? No,

you should let them get on with it. Has it ever happened to you on the

pitch? Surely not? Maybe a few fracas, handbag stuff.

It was more than handbags. It was. Definitely.

Michael, it was a most un-St Johnston likes cappade? Yes.

Considering where they are in the league. The chance to close in on

Rangers. They could have pulled ahead. To go down to nine men. Tommy

Wright will be absolutely raging. It is self-inflicted. I'm sure a few

harsh words being said at half-time. It would appear at the moment it

will be difficult for them to get three points. Closing in on Rangers,

and pulling ahead of Hearts. What an opportunity for Hamilton.

For them to go to a full second half up against nine men.

It is said that ten men are difficult to beat but surely nine

men aren't? The phrase of the week has been "square goal", we have now

seen one. Never mind Duffy and Neil. You now have Swanson and are Ricky.

This is a better story as it two guys on the same team.

A better story? We can't condone that story, this is the BBC,

Michael! They should be controlling themselves. Is this because it's the

end of the season? I don't know. This is a stab in the dark, I think

there is needle there previously. For it to blow up like that so badly

during a game it is maybe something that has been going on for a couple

of weeks. Somebody is not tracking runners or something like that has

led to it. I would be amazed if that is one incident that led to them

kicking and punching. It has taken them all by surprise.

So that overshadowed the big score line of the day for me so far,

Motherwell one up away to Rangers. They have not won there for ages.

Rangers seem to be getting things right, and now Motherwell are one

up. Kenny Miller scored later on to win

the game earlier in the season. But the first game for the new coach. No

doubt about it. But this is one game. If they don't manage to pull

off a victory it is steps backwards and they will be disappointed.

Interesting scorelines in the championship.

Mikkelssen scoring again. The hero in the Challenge Cup final

last week. Dundee United, if they win, Michael, they are assured of a

play-off spot? I think that is what they are playing for. I can't see

United not being in a play-off spot. Or in or not being in the Champions

League. So, looking to make a last push to

get back into the top flight. But the play-off places, we don't know

the order but I think we know the clubs.

And the biggest score line of the day, St Mirren, five, and Ayr

United. What does that say about Ayr now?

This is a huge psychological result for them. Clearly, St Mirren have

been on the ascendency, Ayr have been getting a few results. To go to

paisley to get smashed. With a game in hand... It's momentum

if you are a team at the bottom of the league, it is priceless and Ayr

are going the other way across. With the team that they have got,

it's a good team. We watched them against Celtic. I

was there. They played well up to the final ten or 15 minutes.

Excellent. Brendan came out after the game and gave lots of plaudits.

Maybe a little bit of something about the other teams he was playing

against but certainly raving about them. It has carried on. But that's

a tremendous result. The big game in the English Premier

League, may not be so significant in the title but a Merseyside Derby,

and Guy Ritchie was at -- guy Mowbry was at the game for us.

Little v Everton. And the score is 3-2.

3-1. And in as in any Derby, a few tackles to test the patience. Ross

3-1. And in as in any Derby, a few Barkley booked. Lucky to be still on

the field. And the result never looking in doubt, as Origi made it

3-1 on the hour. Liverpool, three, Everton, one.

The footballing week weekend in Scotland kicked off at Dens Park.

Defeat for the Dons rendering Celtic uncatchable at the top of the

league. Dundee ended up chasing shadows last night. Here is the best

or the worst of the action, depending on which team you follow.

against the Ds. McGinn flights the corner in.

Close to given Aberdeen an early advantage there.

The Rangers manager is an interested spectator. Facing Aberdeen on Sunday

Shiny to Hayes. You wonder if Aberdeen fancy more goals. That's

Jack! Whose only other goal this season came against Dundee. That was

his first in two years. It makes it 5-0 to Aberdeen.

It's a turkey shoot in the City of Discovery.

Scott Wright. He replaced Kenny McLean not so long ago. That's

Christie, thanks McGinn and that is number six. There will be a

generation, if not two generations of Aberdeen fans that will not have

seen their team run amok away like this from home. Gomez definitely

gets a touch on to this. It is weather it's an own goal or it's

McGinn's. Really worrying times for Paul Hartley and this game's not

done yet. Ryan Chrissie's... Considine! Hat-trick! Number seven

for the Dons, who are in seventh heaven now.

A quite astonishing night at Dense Park. We hear from a delighted

Aberdeen manager, shortly after a whole heap of goal updates. Ibrox

and the home side have equalised to level after Moult put Motherwell

ahead three minutes into the game. Now to Firhill. There is a goal

between Partick Thistle and Ross County.

There has been. Ross County leading by a goal to nil. Craig Curran the

man who smashed the ball home. A good run down the right-hand side by

Martin Cut back. Sloppy at the back and Curran pounced on the

opportunity to lash it past. Thistle off the boil, despite coming

into the match in good form. Chris Erskine, their inspirational force,

he has been substituted. But, would you believe it, Chris Doolan has

flashed the ball past the box and Doolan pulls Partick Thistle level.

A fine finish from the front man it is Partick Thistle, one, Ross

County, one. And den firm Lynne against league

leaders Hibs, Brian? A goal for the homeside. From the penalty spot.

Nicky Clarke inside the Hibernian 18-yard box. Trying to flick the

ball around. The referee and the assistant seemed to take ages to

decide if it was a penalty kick. And then pointed to the spot.

Although Marchiano kicked the ball into the back of the net.

Lots happening against, let's go to Ibrox first. Rangers back in it.

Michael, as perhaps, given as you would have expected given the recent

matches between Rangers and Motherwell.

36 games that Motherwell have not won at Ibrox.

One win in the past 20 seasons. That does play a significance in

terms of teams going a certain stadium and you get a feel for

having a good record there. With a record as bad as that, that plays in

some people's minds and the fans' minds. I'm not surprised that

Rangers are pulling it back. But at 1-1. This it is anyone's game.

Higginbottom, he deserves credit for stepping up.

If he is a penalty taker, they will put the responsibility on his

shoulders. Hibs surprise you. They may stumble a little bit but I think

that the focus is switching towards the Cup semi-final in two or three

weeks. There will be a few happy Hibs fans at the result of the

cheaper direct insurance. Are you on a commission? Not so much

happening at Firhill. But kicking into life now.

Doolan levelling. And Partick Thistle bouncing back

quickly. That is a big game. They have been going OK. Come off it in

the last couple of weeks. I am impressed by them. And this is a

good response. And Aberdeen fans, I have not

forgotten about Derek McInnes yes, sir.

Here he is. What I would say is that they played

the way that they do play. I ask for that a loft the time. Trusting each

other with the ball. There was concentration to get the

clean seat that we spoke about in the half-time. So, all in all, you

don't get so many nights like that. Like you, I enjoyed watching my team

play. And the Considine scoring a

hat-trick? You know you have had a good night when he scores a

hat-trick. Great determination. Almost the perfect performance when

he is willing. Great delivery from Christie. Great to see Andy, he is

an attacking threat. We feel it. But we don't expect him to score the

hat-trick every week but well done to him.

Michael Grant, look at that face. More delighted than Derek McInnes.

This is impressive as it's away from home? They were superb last night.

You can put some focus on the Dundee defending. That was poor. Not

dealing with the crosses into the box. But Aberdeen's finishing was

good. Some movement and the attacking was strong. Also four

games in a row, four clean sheets in a row. So they are a solid side

playing really confident football. Have we ever had a defender score a

hat-trick like that? There have been some players listed but I can't

recall any in the top flight. And his show from set pieces. And he

does that regularly. He is good for a goal, Considine.

With a left-back with his strength and height, that is a real employ

coming in around the back. He gets on the end of things that. That was

a big night for him. And of course the context going into

an important match at home to Rangers and the race for second.

That will boost their moral. Of course. Aberdeen are buoyant.

Last season, they won nine, ten games in a row. They have built a

consistency from that point. That's the reason they are sitting

comfortable in second place. The game next week will be a huge game.

Regardless of what the results are this afternoon it will be a really

bill game. And interestingly, he took Kenny

McLean off after an hour. Saving him for next week? Could be. But they

play mid-week and Inverness A bogey team.

Yes. But the point about the consistency of the team is right.

Ryan Christie has not been able to break into the tat side.

playing. And tansy, getting it on a signature

for him. That will boost him. About a

year-and-a-half ago, he was creating set pieces but that adds to the

team. It will continue the strength of

Aberdeen. If you look the Derek McKenzie's acquisitions, they are

all good. Nothing to take a punt on. They are going around and they are

cherry-picking teams. It's a clever way to go about your business.

For a player to get him to stand up, to get him up to Aberdeen, and to

make money. But does it create the challenge? A big question mark or

Ryan Jack. Ryan Jack goes, Tansy comes in. I

would not be overly disappointed if I was an Aberdeen fan.

is to make sure you get sixth place. What a world of difference between

things stand, they will not lose ground on the teams above them if

things stay the same way. It is hard to see where a goal could come from

right now. It seems, are happy to remain solid and perhaps because the

hosts. There was a penalty claim when Kris Boyd look to be running

clear. He was challenged but it seemed like the defender got the

ball. One point would seem like a good result for, but is it enough

for Inverness? Aberdeen and up next. Who knows, but expect them to choose

Who is chasing a winner at Firhill? Partick Thistle against Ross County.

At the moment, Partick Thistle are chasing the winner. They have not

really been in the match, particularly up to the point in

which Kris Doolan smashed in the equaliser which are told about a few

minutes ago. Craig Curran, having put Ross County ahead. Kris Doolan

putting Partick Thistle back into the game with his 100th goal. Since

then, it is all Partick Thistle. Alan Archibald might be frustrated

that it has taken going one goal behind to have a good performance

but they are the better team as Newsbeat. Liam Lindsay had a couple

of chances. There was a header pushed away by Scott Fox and then

after years -- a great shot blocked by the goalkeeper. Partick Thistle

looking like the more likely side if there is to be a winner, but at the

moment, it is still 1-1. Off to the championship and Beasley,

St Mirren and Ayr United. -- Paisley.

The public have done dating decent numbers. St Mirren were up five

goals but a few minutes ago, Cairney got one back for Ayr United.

Let's hope there is not a serious injury to the young winger who was

stretchered off. Lee Miller has put the Bairns 1-0

the bottom of the goal, giving Sean Ward up no chance. Hibs were

controlling the game in the first half. However, the equaliser came

given initially but his linesman and Greg Egan and eventually decided it

looks like it is one point apiece at the moment.

Two tomorrow, and Celtic's chance to win the Premiership title in the

first weekend in April. They need to beat Hearts at Tynecastle to do it.

unlikely, given how the plane, including a showing against Aberdeen

a few weeks ago. It was insipid, it was poor. They did not show any

We will get back to talking about Hearts and Celtic in a minute. Queen

in the South are winning 3-2 at home against Dundee United. Lyndon Dykes

with the goal. Hearts have gone into a bit of a

slump recently. It has gone a little bit pear shaped

after things were looking up recently. I was asking, how does the

manager want to play? There has not been an answer for me yet. We're not

sure how he really wants to play yet. If he wants to pass it and so

on. But you have to put the demand on the players. He has a couple of

great players... He made changes in January. Should you not expect

inconsistency? You need these guys to stand up. This is Scottish

football. You can past the ball around but the aggression in

Scottish football something you used to. There is a quality player they

have in the middle of the pitch but he gets caught on the ball at times.

Celtic will be on the front foot tomorrow, they will be aggressive,

they have a big thing to play for. Celtic have been relentless this

season. You can expect nothing else at Tynecastle tomorrow. They will be

up on that tomorrow. I look at Hearts and I think, there is a lot

of talent in the side but I look at the management team as well, they

have no leadership. Whereas, this team... Plenty of talent on show.

They weren't as good as they have been so far this season in the last

game. In the last couple against Rangers, and then this game, they

have not sparkled as they have so much the season so far. But they

still have the unbeaten record. They could still go to dens Park and

grind out the win with a couple of bits of quality. There is a lot of

pride in that team to maintain this unbeaten record. There is a lot more

records to chase. He has been very clever in how he set out the targets

at the start of the year. All the targets are still there. It is quite

incredible. Going through the season unbeaten, winning the championship

incredible. Going through the season by so many points, goals against,

goals for... There is probably about ten things. You Mac you think he

said, let's go through the season unbeaten, at the start? Has it been

built up? I think it has been built up as it has gone on. I hear talk

about the expectations of Celtic and Brendan Rodgers, but what he has

done is remarkable. He has turned round players who were very average

last year, NRA is, into being... Stuart Armstrong as an example.

Example. Their opening league game in the season was at Tynecastle and

Scott Sinclair scored. He has never looked back. He had an incredible

run at the start of the season scoring in every game. It was

incredible. Tynecastle, straightaway, wind, and they have

never looked back. How will it go tomorrow? Celtic will win it. But

they think it will be tight. There's also a bit of history in the sense

that, going way back to 1986 when I was involved and we stopped Hearts

the league, that might be in the mind of the fans. I do not know

these players will know too much about it. Craig Levein will remember

it. Hearts, and Ian Cathro, where very passive and a number of

performances. They cannot be like that tomorrow. They have to have

some aggression and character tomorrow as well as the technical

qualities. Celtic tend to do well at Tynecastle. It will be a really good

contest. I was reading their Hearts manager saying that Craig Levein

will not be in the dressing room. You can do certain things when you

win games that will not be noticed or is spoken about, but as soon as

the results don't go your way, questions will be asked. That is

inevitable. Regardless of whether it is a result you do not get the

result, for me, the director of football should not be in a dressing

room. I agree. It is a no-no. You can talk after the game, analyse it,

and that is what the director of football is for. But you cannot get

involved in the dressing room. I cannot see how that works. I think

you undermine the manager right away.
