Hello, good evening and welcome to Sportscene. Unbelievable! A

spectacular opening goal in the Derby. The shot is an absolute

beauty. Is this a bit of history? It is.

What a finish! That is it, I would imagine. Good evening. Tonight on

Sportscene, we will take you from the peaks of Premiership success to

the depths of play-off anxiety. It has been a hugely dramatic weekend.

A big night of awards in Scottish football. Tom English joins us in

the studio. Tonight, the former Hearts captain Michael Stewart also

in attendance. It is that Tynecastle that we start. Celtic could win the

Premiership title with victory over Hearts.

It is a back 34 Hearts. Callum Patterson making way after a poor

show at Motherwell last week. Celtic are so close to the title I can

almost touch it. Ambrose starts for the first time in three months.

Ronnie dilemma persevering with Kazim-Richards. -- Deila. That is so

tight. Roberts, his effort saved by Alexander. You can see MacGregor on

site. That was a perfectly good goal. Hearts without a win in the

league over Celtic since 2011. They beat them a year later. Celtic

dominating this fixture and dominating this game. Roberts,

spilled again. Here is Griffiths. It is audacious. A good save by

Alexander. This would have been another one to add to the Griffiths

repertoire. The outside of the big effort from Celtic's top scorer.

MacGregor has had a good first half. Plenty in the middle.

Kazim-Richards! A great finish. It pushes Celtic closer to five in a

row. A delightful ball in. Kazim-Richards with his first league

goal for Celtic. 1-0 to the champions. Hearts have rarely been

seen as an attacking threat in the first half. Walker! Spilled by

Gordon. Walker gave Hearts the lead at Celtic Park at the start of the

month. He must have thought he had equalised. That was definitely

offside. Ronnie Deila on the way out as Celtic gaffer, he will be hoping

with a title. An unlikely set of circumstances only would deny Celtic

that. Right through to Griffiths. He is in. It is wide. You have to

credit Alexander with the save. Griffiths would normally slot home.

Hearts have been better at the start of the second half. The double

substitution is helping. A good save by Gordon! Craig Gordon, almost 200

appearances as Hearts goalkeeper, who makes the save.

A good turn. A good run. Dauda! It is 1-1. The champagne goes back on

ice. He has not been in great form, Dauda, in recent weeks but that is a

terrific shot. Slim hopes of a top two finish still alive four Hearts,

only just. They are trying to track down Aberdeen. That was blocked by

Ambrose. No, handball, despite what the Hearts supporters were appealing

for. He could put Celtic back in front and does. Patrick Roberts, who

scored twice against Hearts in Glasgow at the start of the month as

the party back under way. A calm finish and awful defending. Roberts

still had a lot to do. He did it with aplomb and the Celtic lead is

restored. He feels he should have levelled

proceedings again. Celtic looking for that 47 league title. Lee

Griffiths could be in. Through the legs of Souter. It is Griffiths and

3-1. Another classic by Griffiths. He hates 39 for the season.

Outstanding play from Celtic's man of the season. They are about to win

their fifth title in a row for the fourth time in the club's history.

Today, Celtic did not create a lot which was not of our making. That

was pleasing. Coming back to the same thing, the performance, but

taking the points. Being part of this club has been fantastic. I

never lost the dressing room. They are fantastic. You can see that

today. The Celtic players certainly enjoyed the moment. No doubt the

title in the bag, head over heels about that. They have amassed the

most points and Celtic are effectively champions. For once,

they played like champions. Against Ross County the previous

week, it was flat, there was no hunger. At Tynecastle, though the

opposite. They were hungry from the get go. They created a lot of

chances. They deserve to win by more. They looked like champions

yesterday. They had a real appetite for it. A lot more colour about the

Celtic performance. He has hit the nail on the head. It was a champions

performance. They were by far the better team. Hearts have done really

well in getting themselves back into the game. They were on top and shot

themselves in the foot with the two goals in the second half. Very

impressive. Only his 12th start in the league, the first start since

the middle of March. When MacGregor is good, he is very good. He is

bright and inventive. And I've got a goal. A perfectly good goal. -- and

I for a goal. You did not know who to go with. None of them get the

chance to get a head of steam. I wonder if MacGregor was in the Timor

often, how good would he be? -- the team more often. He has proven

himself to be a really good player. The top players for Celtic, there

were guys who brought energy to the side was that that is what MacGregor

does. Celtic needs more of that. Four Hearts, some guys coming off

the bench and impressing. Callum Patterson doing what he does best.

Dauda deftly made an impact as well in the second half. He caused

problems for Celtic. -- definitely made. I do not understand why the

two guys did not start the game. Event has to goal from Dauda. -- a

fantastic goal. 39 goals from Griffith, would Celtic

have won the title without him? It is a moot point. His goals have been

responsible for 17, 18 points. Goals for an equaliser all goals for a

winner. That is a lot of point in this season or any other. He has

been so slick and consistent. Saying that, he has missed a sitter. Not

too many of them through the course of the season. It is not just his

goals, it is his workrate and energy, his effervescence. That is

not a sitter. He has created something out of nothing. Similar to

the park at Tynecastle where he scored another fantastic goal. It is

difficult to say whether Celtic would have won the title without

him. He is a big player for Celtic, not just in terms of goals but his

workrate. Psychologically he is a big player. His attitude was

excellent. The title race effectively ever but Aberdeen could

make certain art of second placed against inform Motherwell. --

certain of second place. Three changes today. The debut board the

31-year-old goalkeeper. The change of goalkeeper for Motherwell as

well. He twists one way and then another.

Great play by Jonny Hayes. A penalty kick! The referee in a perfect

position to point to the spot. The full-back was well beaten. He put

Aberdeen ahead at the park last time out. He has done the same again. Six

minutes gone and a simple, left the out. He has done the same again. Six

two penalty. Not the start that Mark McGhee was dreaming of. Flood

calling for it. Always a willing runner and holder of the ball.

Lovely by Aberdeen. Logan into the middle. A great round by McGinn.

That is a terrific goal by Aberdeen. Perfect execution for the finish.

Lovely play from McGinn. The drive back to give him the South space.

What a late run into the box that was! A delightful finish. 2-0 to the

Dons. Aberdeen picking up again. On to Logan. That is long for Adam

Rooney. Adam Rooney with a header across. Hoping to celebrate his

100th appearance with a goal. He pulled away well but could not guide

that on target. He will be happy enough so far. Adam Rooney scored on

his debut against Motherwell for the Dons. A great save but this could be

Adam Rooney. It is Adam Rooney. He celebrates his comeback with a goal.

Kennedy on the line could not keep it out. Ripley with the save. Adam

Rooney does not miss them. His sixth goal in his career for Aberdeen

against Motherwell. Delighted to see him back.

Motherwell 16 out of the last seven. Knocks it out of play.

Back into the middle it goes. Taylor hits it past his own goalkeeper.

Chris Callum wheels away in celebration. That was an own goal.

The movement of the body from the defender giving his goalkeeper no

chance. 3-1. That McDonald's throw on to Malta.

unbeaten run to 12. He has the pace and acceleration. Jonny Hayes going

all the way for Aberdeen. PFA Player of the Year in nominee and quite

Adam Riley's 100th appearance ends. Handshakes all round -- Adam Rooney.

Just checking to see if he's injured again. That is clever. Johnny Hayes

has been delightful. Kenny McLean taken down by Keith Lansley. He is

pointing out the ball and Aberdeen react. Bobby Madden has his work cut

Considine. It is a red card for Keith Lansley. His second

sending-off of the season, and referee Bobby Madden consulted with

the assistant and red is the colour of the card. Keith Lansley exits

stage left. In this game we had a defensive job

to do and Motherwell always bring a threat and it's not very often they

don't score goals so we had to get on top of them and we did that well.

Great to see so many goals and so many chances created. I thought it

was a brilliant performance and the players deserve credit. I won't be

too critical. We've not had a great day and in the second half we might

have got closer to them. We were beaten by a team who have earned

their second place in the league and they've had a fantastic season. They

have run Celtic close so I'm not going to lose too much sleep.

Aberdeen back amongst the goals. Michael, how much did the loss of

Adam Rooney to injury contribute to Aberdeen failing to keep the

pressure on Celtic? I think it contributed a little bit, not so

much in terms of the goals, because Simon Church came in and did well.

You can't dispute the fact that Adam Rooney is a big player for Aberdeen.

As an Aberdeen player, you would look on the team sheet and think you

are glad to have him. This is another guy, Johnny Hayes. A huge

player for them and he seemed to be on top form. You have guys like

Rooney, Johnny Hayes, McGinn, when they have been on form, Aberdeen

have done well and scored goals. In these clips we are showing you,

McGinn, Hayes, linking up well. When they have performed, Aberdeen get

results. A plethora of attacking options. For you, in terms of

Aberdeen, compared to last season, there is a narrative emerging that

perhaps they have gone backwards. Where do you stand on it? They are

three points worse off than where they were now last season and make a

turn it round in three games. They have not had a cup run, which is

disappointing. I was expecting a bit more from them but as good as they

are, in terms of challenging for a possible challenge to Celtic, their

weaknesses is at centre-half and in the middle of the park and they need

more upfront. Rooney is terrific but they need more and they need to

strengthen the spine. We saw terrible defending by Hearts, and

poor defending by hash Taylor, and over the season those mistakes haunt

you. The final game in the top six saw Ross County take on St

Johnstone. It is a fixture the home side have not enjoyed overlaid with

one victory in the last seven meetings. -- lately with one

victory. Ross County had won only two of the

last six at home, scoring five goals in the process and had an early

chance when McShane's free kick was knocked into the box but cleared by

St Johnstone and MacLean's long clearance set up an attack. In four

Murray Davidson who evaded the clutches to set up Graham Cummins

but he shot was deflected into the arms of Scott Fox. Paul Quinn

getting back well to block. Having been instrumental in the defensive

block, Paul Quinn caused problems Ross County when he took far too

long to decide what to do with a clearance and ended up Graham --

wrestling Graham Cummins to the ground. An easy free kick for the

referee and Quinn, unusually for him, in two minds. David

Weatherspoon, who scored against Ross County, forced a good save from

Scott Fox. Plenty of power and accuracy on the free kick. St

Johnstone won one of the previous seven away games, albeit an

impressive win at Tynecastle, and what the spoon was persistent and

set up Danny Swanson for what looked to be their opening goal on the road

but Danny Swanson pushed wide despite time. Swanson is still

looking for his first goal for St Johnstone and putting at the wrong

side of the post. Zander Clark sent the ball long as they pushed Ross

County and they would not have been pleasing their manager, Jim

McIntyre. Scobey with the one - two, as St Johnstone continue to get the

better of things. Danny Swanson's high corner was met by Joe

Shaughnessy in a clever piece played by Stephen MacLean with his back to

goal. He had a lot to do and did it so well to give St Johnstone the

lead. Steven MacLean enjoying his best goal-scoring season with St

Johnstone, moving his tally to 13 for the season, a calm and clever

finish from a strike in form. Ross County had been largely out of sorts

with one win in five since their victory in the League Cup, but they

set up a rare shooting opportunity. The goalkeeper doing exceptionally

well as the ball took a deflection on the way through and Zander Clark

had to react. Two players were rushing in to take advantage. The

deflection came off defender Stephen Anderson and made the save all the

more impressive. Tommy Wright was urging his men on as St Johnstone

look to go unbeaten against Ross County this season. A corner, the

final chance, was met by Andrew Davies but fittingly he was off

target, as was the overall performance by Ross County.

All the fixtures are tough in the league, top six or bottom six, and

each team is capable of beating each other on the day and we have to

bounce back. The disappointing thing, first half, we had good

opportunities and did not work the keeper enough. We passed the ball

well and defended well and got the goal at the right time. Not too many

problems and we did enough. I am happy manager. An end of season feel

about the game and in a season where there has been so much to play for,

slight disappointment that sites like Ross County, Motherwell,

slight disappointment that sites place does not give them a shot at

Europe. Of course, but Tommy Wright there was saying he was a happy

manager, and no wonder. You look at the last two performances and

results, very good results and always sneaking in there at the end

of the season. Unfortunately for them, no European spot for fourth.

Typical St Johnstone. Tommy Wright is great and Jim McIntyre has had a

good season. Dundee United should have tried to get him as manager a

bit harder. A huge match at the bottom of the table, and victory for

Hamilton Accies would not only preserve top-flight status but

consigned till Marnoch to a least a play-off place. Watching for us at

New Douglas Park was John The Hamilton manager Martin Canning

sticks by the starting line-up that beat you -- Dundee United meaning

Morris, who scored twice last week leads the attack. Conor Brennan

makes his first start in place of Jamie MacDonald. Craig Slater and

George Magennis return after injury and illness.

Here is Slater. He's done well on the flanks here. It has come off the

head of McKellen, and there is guilty. What an early opportunity

for Kilmarnock -- varies guilty. -- there is guilty. Michael McCubbin to

the rescue. McKenzie. Trying to get away from

Gordon and MacKinnon, and he's done so. Kiltie, with the opener, Greg

Kiltie puts Kilmarnock in front, although Hamilton Accies claim the

ball was over the goal line there. They think it should have been a

goal kick, but Kiltie was not hanging about. McKenzie was the man

along the byline and it might have been at this moment... Was it over?

The officials say no. Kiltie Sandercock corner. -- Kiltie found

the top corner. Losing out to Gillespie. There is Morris. That was

a chance for the equaliser therefore Gillespie. There is Morris. That was

Carlton Morris. He has caused problems Dundee United in the last

Crawford's free kick. Gordon. Trying to get a connection at the back

post, Ziggy Gordon. Good delivery from Crawford.

Hobson again with Kiltie. Through two Kiltie, and that is number two.

It is a double for Greg Kiltie. The teenager there making a good run and

getting onto the pats created by Chris Boyd. And that is Kiltie's

sixth of the season. Slater. Not a bad effort from the Kilmarnock

midfielder. Kilmarnock looking to maintain their good run, unbeaten in

their last five visits to New Douglas Park. Morris. Imrie, trying

to get in behind. Can they pull a goal back before the interval? Here

is Ali Crawford. Conor Brennan makes say. That's about the first time in

this first half they have tested the Kilmarnock goalkeeper -- makes the

save. Slater, looking for Magennis. He seems to use a hand there. And

the officials agree. And Kilmarnock have a penalty. Chris Boyd has

already scored twice from the spot this season. Make that three times

now. McGovern went right, and Boyd placed on the other side. And

Kilmarnock are 3-0 to the good. Dicker.

Kiltie. He has been impressive all afternoon. A good ball in, and there

is Magennis. Number four, but it won't count. The flag is up, offside

against Josh Magennis. Hamilton's home form has been their Achilles

heel this season, only one victory in the last 13 at New Douglas Park.

Here is Danny Redmond. That is a good directory. In Bitton -- in

behind the Kilmarnock defence. He has hit the side netting and that

was a good opportunity to get Hamilton back in the game. He could

have cut it back. Morris was through the middle.

McKenzie. Support arrives from Hobson. A neat pass. Kiltie, trying

to cut it back, looking for Magennis. And it has gone in. And

Kilmarnock are 4-0 in front. It looked like an own goal and it might

well have come off Danny Redmond and knocked beyond Michael McGovern.

Kilmarnock's chances of avoiding the play-off spot are receiving a good

boost. Their players knew the importance of

the game, and when you see it from the start, they take a throw in in

the first minute and Michael has to make a fantastic save and it sets

the tone for the game. The first goal is always important and we

weathered that and got back into the game, and then we concede from a

goal that could not stand. I won't get excited. I would like to be in

Hamilton's position, but if we can look after our results until the end

of the season it gives ourselves a fighting chance to not be involved

in the play-offs. No doubt about the huge moment in the match, did the

ball go out of play? Michael, I thought it did. What did you

After many replays, I have come to the conclusion that it did but very

difficult to tell. We will try to slow down the slow motion. We will

try to zoom in. We will get as cloaks a look as possible to see

whether this in fact crossed the line -- as close. It is so tight.

You can see the ball has crossed the line. It's a very, very difficult

Unlike the first one where Hamilton have a slight grievance, this one

was not offside. The build-up play was really good from Kilmarnock. It

showed the improvement in their performance. In the final third they

were really clinical. A good interchange and movement. A

fantastic run from Kris Boyd. This interchange and movement. A

bit, when we pause it, this is when there was a possibility of an

offside. The left-back is playing him onside. No real issue from

Hamilton. A good bit of play from Kilmarnock and a thoroughly deserved

second goal. A hugely impressive performance from come on it. I was

there yesterday. What made the difference? -- from Kilmarnock. It

was a toxic combination. They have let into many goals and not good

enough. This is right from the second goal from the kick-off. Bang,

closing down! Chris Boyd, in between the two centre halves, marshalling

the team as to where they will go. I will pause it here as well. The

first time there is a penetrative pass, it breaks through the

Kilmarnock lines. Never far away. Closing them down. Once the ball had

gone in there, forcing them back out. They have to go back. Once it

goes back, the whole team pushes up. This typified the performance from

Kilmarnock. The teamwork effort that was the reason behind them winning

4-0. Hamilton and Kilmarnock still in the play-offs. Inverness

Caledonian Thistle 's the visitors at Partick Thistle. On a bright day

at Firhill, things started brightly enough for Partick Thistle. Steven

Lawless with a shot just wide of the post. Could the Inverness players

respond? They could, and how. Always renowned for good passing play, that

was clearly in evidence. A fantastic move finished off by the left-back.

The last time Caledonian Thistle played at Firhill, they likened the

side to Real Madrid. Why not? At the other end, Sean Welsh was denied by

the goalkeeper. After the break things would get worse for Partick

Thistle. Onside and on target and on the scoresheet. 2-0, and any

lingering play-off nightmares for the away side fast evaporating.

The same cannot be said of the home side. Josh Meekings with the cross.

Jordan Roberts almost making it 3-0. Caley Thistle were clearly enjoying

their day in the Glasgow sun. The same could not be said for the

Partick Thistle faithful. The setup work for Caley Thistle. The

goalkeeper forced into a great save to deny a second. There was nothing

that Scully could do in the 76th minute. Josh Meekings with the

finish. 3-0 to Caley Thistle as the Partick Thistle fans made their

feelings clear. There would be one moment for the home fans to say

that. A sublime piece of footwork to make it 3-1.

Cali Bissell were not reduced. The substitute with the cross. -- Caley

Thistle. A great win for Inverness. Poor at the back again from Partick

Bissell, who could yet find themselves in a play-off spot. --

Partick Thistle. Today, in the second half, we were

doing the opposite. We lost 4-1. In the first 20 minutes I thought

Partick were the better team. Even Stevens the rest of the first half

and second-half all Inverness. To come here and score four goals, to

be honest, it could have been more. Plenty of chances. A good result for

be honest, it could have been more. us. Inverness Caley Thistle are safe

in a Premiership for another season. us. Inverness Caley Thistle are safe

Partick Thistle not necessarily safe. Can you see them in a play-off

place? Doubtful. They have conceded seven goals in the last three. There

is enough of a cushion to get out of it. They have Kilmarnock and Dundee

United and Hamilton in the next three games. They are finishing the

season desperately. I think they are hanging on. The defending was not

good and they are away at Kilmarnock next weekend. After that result they

will be full of confidence. When he defend like this you are not giving

yourself much of a chance in any game. Disappointing defensively. If

it had not been for the goalkeeper, it would have been more. He will be

disappointed. From the corner, that is down to the defenders.

Unbelievable! You can see from the second clip, the defender just

follows the ball. He runs chases his mate. Very poor defending. He will

be disappointed. How do you sum up the Inverness season? Some great

goals at times. For large parts of the season, it has not been

particularly inspiring. They have had injuries and guys leaving the

club. John Hughes has done really well in the circumstances. They are

the good side. They are finishing the season well. He will probably

lose another couple of players. That is his lot. Here's a manager of

substance. You can see it on days like this. Dundee can relegate

Dundee United. I am sure Dundee fans are looking forward to that

prospect. What feeling are you getting? Dundee United fans have

given up, not surprisingly. Very critical of the players naturally.

They are critical most of all of Stephen Thompson. They see no future

for the club with him as the chairman. They talk constantly. They

talk constantly about this disconnect between the supporters

and the board. It was never like that before. A huge game tomorrow

night. You can watch the action live night. You can watch the action live

-- listen to the action live on BBC Radio Scotland. After all the action

so far, the Premiership table looks like this. Aberdeen could still

mathematically finish on the same number of points as Celtic but there

is no way they can overturn the goal difference, so Celtic are,

effectively, champions. Kilmarnock with renewed hope of escaping the

play-off places are to be huge win at Hamilton Academical. Nathalie

hugely exciting day in the Ladbrokes championship. The scramble for

second place went down to the wire. -- a hugely exciting day. If both

sides won this afternoon, Hibs would need to better the Falkirk scoreline

by three goals to finish as championship runners-up.

A huge day of drama looked like going the way of full kerk. A

penalty to Falkirk. The Morton keeper made the save. 0-0 at

half-time. Paul Watson with the header. A huge goal for full kerk.

On a tense afternoon, it would not be plain sailing. Declan McManus

just off target. And then a tight offside call came to the rescue.

Would Morton get a goal to throw a spanner in the works.

Their Hibs match was being played simultaneously. They were working on

the assumption they would probably have to be Queen of the South by a

few goals. Anthony Stokes was denied by Jim Atkinson. Stokes again at the

centre of things. It was John McGinn next to try his luck. To no avail.

Into the second half and Hibs card to open it the chance. He missed the

kerk 1-0 in front, a major moment. kerk 1-0 in front, a major moment.

-- Falkirk. This foul on John McGinn and Queens down to ten men.

Hibs sent on bed top scorer, Jason Cummings. Finally, in the 67th

minute, the Hibs breakthrough. At least three more required if it's

a word to catch full -- Falkirk. That is how it would

finish despite Hibs pushing for more. Hibs finished third.

Ideally we would have wanted to finish second. That will not

guarantee anyone anything, just an extra few days. We would have liked

that rest but we have not. We have been going Saturday, Wednesday, for

the last six, seven weeks now. We go on Wednesday. I am delighted for the

group of players, their commitment and desire. They have put in a hard

shift. After the cup final, I said, let's try and get into the

play-offs. Rangers and Hibs have them bigger resources than we have

at Falkirk. You can finish second. We have won nothing yet, we have

done nothing. Huge congratulations to Sportscene for finishing second.

A great effort by the players and a great effort by the manager. They

have upset the odds, haven't they? There is no doubt. He spoke to them

after the cup final and said, let's get into the play-offs. When you

watch Falkirk, there is a real determination playing as the

underdog wanting to prove people wrong, that they are capable. They

have shown that this year, that they are capable of upsetting the

so-called big teams in the league. One of those big teams, Hibs, have a

heavy schedule to face in the play-off quarterfinal first leg

against Raith Rovers. Who do you see winning that? Raith Rovers are the

form team in the championship. They winning that? Raith Rovers are the

have scored 23, 24 goals. They are flying. They will relish a match

against Hibs. If they get through it, they will be a tired team going

into a match of two legs against Falkirk. At the post match press

conference, they were playing down the fact that bird is find that it

is a physical, punishing schedule that they have. -- that bird is fine

as favourites in terms of momentum. They have lost fewer games in the

finish their season away at St Mirren and it would be an emotional

day for the home side as they said goodbye to two of the most prominent

the career of club legend and regular pundit here, Steven

before the cup final. He has been terrific, an excellent signing,

buckets of goals. They will be glad to get him back. Rangers's Vorm has

fallen off a cliff since they beat Celtic. Three of the bottom four,

they have play -- they have not beaten any of them. They defended

poorly in the match and have done recently and before the Celtic

match, but on the big day against Celtic, Mark Warburton, he got them

defending brilliantly. I would imagine he would hope to have

another big day in the cup final and hope they have the same discipline

as they did against Celtic. A big night of awards, the PFA awards held

give a shout out for Kane Hemmings. He has been excellent at Dundee,

scoring 25 this season for Dundee. His goals have brought them 18

points in the league, so he's had an astonishing season. What has Leigh

Griffiths done for Celtic? I'm not saying that. Leigh Griffiths has

been class. Absolutely class. Kane Hemmings has to come into the

conversation somewhere. Mark Warburton as Manager of the Year,

he's done a terrific job Rangers. He inherited a dressing room that was a

basket case and he has brought order and promotion and he might bring a

cup. Jim McIntyre will be another one people have voted for. We are
