Hello, good evening, and welcome to Sportscene. It is unbelievable,

unbelievable. It is a spectacular opening goal. That is a beauty. At

fifth round weekend, perspectives change. Never two-dimensional,

always another view, another way to look at things. And sometimes, they

They are right back in this. No matter what happens now, MacLennan's

side deserve enormous credit. They pick up again, the goal-scorer. The

captain. He dithered on that. This is the captain, boys. That is a good

finish from the striker. Loose play from Linlithgow. County punish them.

Surely that will end the contest. It is a good finish. Pulped into the

corner, but too much time for Liam Boyce and Michael Gardyne. County

with the two goal advantage. That should see them into the

quarterfinal. Well done by Adams. I do not think I have seen a

goalkeeper that far out of his box in open play, with men behind him.

Ross County will going to the draw the quarterfinals, what all of the

credit to day must go to the juniors, -- junior side, Linlithgow

Rose. They have done so well to get this far. The manager will be

delighted at the way his side fought today. A brilliantly added for the

fans and players, the first junior team to get this far in the

tournament. They have not disgraced themselves today. It finishes 4-2.

Goals change game, when they go 3-2, you think, here we go. It was a good

quality goal from us. Brian Graham put it away and bit relieved the

pressure. We were able to see the game comfortably. To come to

Dingwall and squirt two goals is tremendous. The second goal, it was

breathtaking. We started from the goalkeeper and pass the ball well

and scored a great goal. It scared them a bit at that point, 3-2. They

worked their socks off. Credit to the team and the whole club. The

fans were excellent as well. Delighted, so pride. The cup magic

is over for a Linlithgow, but they have made history by being the first

junior team to reach the last 16 of the Scottish Cup. It has been quite

a run. Seven matches, they have scored 19 goals in total. They have

done really well. They almost got to the final. They have played lovely

stuff from the back to the front. They wanted to play football. Ross

County were never going to get much credit for seeing off a non-league

side, but it is the first time they have been in the last eight of the

Scottish Cup since 2010. After last weekend, they will be grateful for

more cup progression. Yes, their attitude was good. They were very

respectful of their guests. They put in a shift, and realised it could

have been easy, because they scored early on. They realised that the

opposition to play football. They got their heads right. Jim McIntyre

was talking at the end. He was really respectful of the opponents.

I thought they played well today. The organisation from corner kicks

and free kick saw was superb. It was a great game to watch, some

memorable moments, including the first equaliser for Linlithgow. A

moment to forget for Jamie Reckord. It is not often the defender's

fault. I do not blame Reckord. The ball is smacked at him, he cannot

get out of the way. It is unlikely. There is nothing to be embarrassed

about at all. Maybe Liam Boyce should take a touch and try and play

wide. Plenty of players in the box, causing mayhem. There is nothing

they can do, but his expression says it all. He was gutted. It was

in the lower leagues, hopefully they will make their way up because

clearly work hard on this. This is a goal, they pressed tight up the

field, well done there. You might see? Against Linlithgow. By like a

team willing to play any level. At least they are trying to do that.

Look at the goal-scorers they've got, you've not even got voice, and

guard I'm starting. -- Boyce. If you have goals in the team you have

great chances to score in cups. They've shown it this time. Which

word about the Linlithgow They've shown it this time. Which

keeper Ali Adams, every team needs to have a character, he looks like

one. Made a great save in the first half, you'll see it here. Lovely

ball to the far post. Does everything right, get it down, keep

had the confidence to do that. The centre-half spread wide, he plays it

Linlithgow's point of view. The producer told me they've travelled

2000 miles to get this far in the competition, which shows commitment

for guys for whom football isn't the main occupation. They had to go to

work and it was called off, then had to go to Forfar and it was called

off. It shows you there are organisations at lower levels but a

big heart also and players who can play the game, too. One non-league

side remains in the Scottish Cup for another day at least. East Kilbride

to live the dream tomorrow afternoon as they lock horns with Celtic.

The fifth round. They faced Morton. Here is Paul Mitchell.

This was their first ever fifth round match in the Scottish Cup,

Annan, hopes were high against their championship visitors. Rabin

this shot was blocked by Watson and McCloskey pounced. Slight deflection

on the shot, but still a strong hit as he secured the match ball, his

third and Morton's four. They were in total control of the game with

spirited attacking play too much for Annan whose cup run was coming to an

players and fans, everybody will look forward to the draw on Monday.

Morton through to the Scottish Cup for the first time since 1999. Off

the top of my head. Great tournament for Annan Athletic, they've really

made their mark. They beat Hamilton last time out. They are going well

in league two, beating Elgin, the leaders, 4-2. They will be

disappointed they saw a Morton side who turned up and haven't been

scoring a lot of goals but hammered them today. We seem quality goals. A

lot of people had this down as a potential shock. Morton have had a

few sticky results recently. Stefan McCluskey steps up with a hat-trick,

great hat-trick. The other thing about it. Great finish but you don't

expect them to go into the top corner. Playing with really good

confidence. If you score a hat-trick at any point in your career, said

the man who only ever scored one, you have to be delighted. It's a

very good run, finishing is good. He scored one last week apparently in

the league. -- last year. Four of the last five games they lost. They

need to get back onto it. It wasn't going to be an easy one. They are in

the last eight, the draw gets made on Monday evening. Plenty of sides

will hope they avoid a trip in the quarterfinals. They will. Though

they are not scoring many goals in the league, they reserved their

better games for the cup. Look at quality, Bobby Barr playing the ball

across four the finish. He could have had a shot himself. They are a

quality team. You never know what will happen in the cup. And all

Premiership encounter. Motherwell had never beat in Inverness Caley

Thistle in the Scottish Cup, just that two previous encounters. Would

it be third time lucky? Liam McLeod watching. The holders Scottish Cup

defence came under serious scrutiny in the last round as they eventually

dismissed bottom tier Stirling Albion after their replay. They

would be too concerned about that, they needed a replay in last

season's fourth round as well. Other well cruised through against

Rangers. They would have a more difficult task to reach the last

eight. Mark McGhee has left top scorer Louis Moult on the bench. The

13 goal forward hasn't scored in his last four. A home debut at first

start 2010 Scottish Cup winner Gomez on loan from Hearts. Only four of

Caley Thistle's players started last season's final. Like their hosts,

it's an attack minded line-up. The third Scottish Cup meeting

between these two. Caley Thistle have come out on top on both

previous occasions. Motherwell with just three cup wins in their last

19. A game against Livingston and East Fife. In contrast, Inverness

have only lost one of their last 15 Scottish Cup ties. 5- 0/4 final

Another big moment in this cup tie. McManus made a mess of it. Williams

the season. John Hughes had high hopes for him when he came in. A

groin injury has savaged his season. Still, they trail.

down and all this sort of thing, but the power bases in the north-west.

Next, Rangers, rampant in the Championship, to Connor, and excite

flooding in the Premiership. To add more intrigue, the man at the helm

for, and it today was the former Rangers stalwart Lee McCulloch. He

is in charge after the resignation of the previous manager last

weekend. Three top-flight clubs have already

It is a daunting prospect for a side under new management. It is the same

again for Mark Warburton and Rangers. It is the same team that

won against Raith Rovers in midweek. The Kilmarnock side has five changes

to the starting 11 against Hamilton. That includes three edit four at the

back. There is a debut for new signings Lee Hodson and Gary Dicker.

What a place for your first match as a manager. The referee Bobby Madden

has used his red card four times in his last four games. Will he use it

again today? Josh Magennis, trying to get involved early. That is a

nice touch from the Rangers fans, to get involved early. That is a
