We have the last two teams to have

of stars looking to win the FA Cup

for the first time and two managers

who would love to end the season

with some silverware. What might be

a little bit tricky, though, is

impartiality.

Leicester have never won the cup.

The last time they reached a

semifinal was in 1982.

Seems like yesterday. Chelsea have

won the club since 2012 loss to

Arsenal in the final last year, of

course. This is their last chance of

silverware in what is proving a

difficult season for head coach

Antonio Conte. A sell-out crowd of

32,000 at the King Power Stadium in

Leicester for the last of the

Emirates FA Cup quarterfinals. There

will be a winner this evening, with

extra time and penalties now the

norm at this stage. And we will have

the semifinal draw live straight

after the game.

My record,

I always say that

this is a special competition. Not

only because it is a knockout stage

in pretty much all the competitions,

but it is one of the oldest

competitions in the world with such

a great tradition.

I have some memories from

the finals, this is a great one. It

has always been a pleasure for me to

play in the FA Cup games. If you

play a league game there is only a

little part of the stadium allocated

to the away supporters, and in every

FA Cup game changers. Already the

atmosphere changes, I really like

that.

although you did not start that,

which is a subject I want to come

because they have been playing quite

well recently, not getting the

result. I think they could get it

right today.

were playing at Filbert Street, some

of that is a car park, as you can

possibly see. Leicester beat

Shrewsbury 5-2 that day, and what a

finish. Who on earth is that?!

extra incentive is that to you to do

well in the FA Cup?

Of course it was

a good feeling, good memories. But

now I am in Leicester, the most

important thing is to play this game

and to have a chance to win today.

After, we will see. The most

important thing is just to play a

good level with quality and fighting

spirit. I think we can.

You have got the Cavallaro in goal

instead of Courtois, how difficult

was that decision?

Keep an eye on Vardy, he is making

no move yet but once it goes on to

the left foot of Mahrez, he just

pulls away, goes forward, pulls away

to the back post. It is a hell of a

finish. Their understanding of each

other pressing high to win the ball,

he puts it on a plate at an field.

This is a brilliant goal. Typical

Leicester, hitting teams on the

break. If you believe so much space

behind them, these two guys will run

into wood. Vardy starts the move ten

yards or so from his own box.

I would

not go that far but it is a good

As soon as Mahrez gets the ball, he

knows he is capable of finding in

behind them and he runs into the

channel. He can go either side

regarding where the defender is. As

a goalkeeper you need to make

sure...

I know you want to

Mahrez, he has every right to be

angry and disappointed when his move

did not happen but you want to talk

about his attitude?

I think it has

been exemplary. It is very easy for

me to say, add Leicester fans would

say what are you on about, maybe it

would have been a good time for

him...

What are you one about?!

Simply because of where he was going

and what he believes he has given to

the club. But his attitude has been

first class.

One of the people who

has to take care of Vardy, whose

scores against most of the big

clubs, is Christensen. An odd

mistake in recent weeks, relatively

new to the side.

In the last couple

of months he has made mistakes. He

is learning the hard way on the

biggest stage in front of millions.

He will have to deal with is because

he knows Vardy will run behind. He

has to be stronger, gets pushed off

the ball far too easy. He is with

Lindegaard when the ball comes in

but he loses a map last second. A

good ball in but he is with him, he

should stay with him and Mark M.

Similar with Aguero. He is playing

against top players, we know that.

But he has to cut out the silly

mistakes in his game which we have

seen in recent games.

There are the centre-back

performances this season. They have

been mixing it around a bit more

than last season?

Watching those

clips, I totally agree with Alan, I

think it is not a bad thing in games

like this to make those mistakes, he

has to learn from them. This sooner

he does, the better. He is a really

good player.

Willy Caballero will be

say Courtois is injured but

generally in cup competitions he has

been a regular starter. You have had

a similar thing at Chelsea and

Arsenal where they use a different

goalkeeper in cup competitions. How

do you feel about that, as a first

choice goalkeeper?

I had the

experience both ways. At Chelsea we

never decided which competition you

play, it was a game by game process

if you kept playing well and you

were fit and did not need rest and

then the manager had his choice to

pick up a goalkeeper for the

competition. Sometimes I would set a

game out all be on the bench but it

would not be decided you play this

competition or that. I enjoyed that,

because I love this competition. To

be involved and to play FA Cup

games, it makes it a bit more spicy

special.

Has what has happened in

the last few years frustrated you,

not being part of the FA Cup? You

lifted the trophy last season but

you did not play in the game?

You

have to set up the way your manager

-- respect the way your manager sets

up the team. I had no prior to the

season that David would play the FA

Cup games.

Is it frustrating?

Obviously, I would love to play but

you have to respect the manager's

decisions. I played the quarterfinal

and the semifinal, I did not play

the final. I had some part in the

process.

Did you knock on his door?

It is about respecting your

colleague and your coach's decision.

You can tell that you would prefer

the other way.

I think that is the

polite way of saying he hates it.

Leicester and now a Chelsea lion. It

is Chelsea home?

It is my second

year in Chelsea. I feel like after

what has happened last season, it

was a very good season for us to

celebrate a title. And then in the

second season to play the Champions

League and to go again for the top

four, I am at home with my club, I

am a Chelsea player.

I want to show

football, I was 11 or 12. At the end

We will fight

until the end of the league to be in

title we can win this season so we

have to give everything to go in the

semifinal and win the final and win

it.

Even watching the game the other

night, he does not really dipped

under eight out of ten. He is so

consistent, he is fantastic. He won

with Leicester and there were

Chelsea.

I think

they have a very good opportunity to

go to the semifinals if they can get

Maras and Vardy going then I fancy

them to go through.

think it might be harder than

been a strange one.

but it's about moving forward as a

club, progressing. Make sure they

finish in the top half. Maybe a good

cup run, which they are doing, each

season. Improve as a cub, and I feel

they are doing that on the Claude

Puel.

Probably be west Sakho we have

seen so far this afternoon from Wes

Morgan. Chelsea get on with it. --

probably the worst tackle we have

seen. Part of the problem was

replacing Kante, but Wilfred Ndidi

is doing well now.

switch off once, Chelsea will get in

But you have to give him better

themselves, trying to rally the

straight at Schmeichel. What about

the space and time he had there.

We

were talking earlier about the

wingback areas. Mahrez decides to

leave it, so Simpson has to move out

late. He can't be outstanding there,

he has to cut in. As oceans of rim,

picked out Morata beautifully, but

didn't get a full connection on it

with his weaker foot. He will be

disappointed, it was a chance, given

the time he had.

A chance to get it down the line for

Eden Hazard. He wanted a better ball

than that.

It was the right ball,

just overplayed. These other areas,

the wide areas, full-backs get

dragged in, especially on this side

because Mahrez doesn't naturally

want to it.

Albrighton hasn't had the chance to

get Jamie Vardy in the game yet.

When there are three at the back

they can cover each other easier

was another good break away from

Leicester. Spotting the danger,

Vardy has had this sort of ball and

been able to get on the move like

Ndidi has put in some very useful

challengers in midfield.

If you're going to try to play out

like Chelsea did in the middle of

the pitch... I understand that

Fabregas is sometimes found wanting

with his lack of legs or

athleticism, but his ability to see

people around them and create some

control is second to none. At the

moment, Bakayoko is not really doing

one or the other. He has lost the

ball one too many times in the

middle of the pitch.

That was his worst moment of the

match to date, Ndidi.

There he is. I just think when he is

not playing, if you have two central

midfielders, when they won the

league they had Matic against a

same job. At the moment, back Yoko

is not doing either. At least

Fabregas can control player and open

Bakayoko is not doing either.

He has been most likely the Chelsea

recently, five goals in the last

five he has played.

over the course of this season with

there has been a lack of support. It

too later. I think the one change

they could make, good play from the

goalkeeper, his starting position is

excellent.

thing you can do as a goalkeeper to

have an advance starting position.

He is very quick, you recover to

your goal. His starting position

allowed him to create.

improve on taking Iheanacho fund

bringing on Okazaki to try to get a

much as lack of pace. Once Morata

got through it was inevitable that

the ball would underpin the back of

the net.

If you were playing for

Chelsea in the second half, would

you look to exploit the fact that

Bakayoko is on a yellow card?

Sometimes as a defender if you know

you are booked, you are not as

decisive as you should be. It could

be a problem.

What changes would you

It seems

obvious, but I think so. Iheanacho

has been ineffectual, really.

Struggled a bit. Okazaki will fire

about Arsenal, it must have been a

bit frustrating so far?

It has been

frustrating for many seasons. If you

look at our home record in the

league, in the Cubs, we have been

doing really well. If you look at

our away record it did not make a

huge difference in the season --

look at our home record in the

league, in the Cubs. You can have a

runway you are not going

particularly well and you lose a

view games but if it is going over a

whole season, the difference between

home and away...

Why has there been

such a difference between home and

away?

If I knew then probably we

would not have had the same problem

any more. I

you keep training, you need to keep

preparing and try to find your way

to improve. Obviously we were not

good enough in doing so. Obviously

It is individual.

Some people probably look around

more than others, I concentrate only

on my game, my preparation and

start thinking too much about that,

as a player that can affect your

performances and that will not help

you. So I try to avoid these things

but everybody is different and some

people might think too much.

Need

success in the Europa League more

than ever?

As a team we are in a

good place, hopefully we can finish

it.

Can Leicester turn this around,

Ian?

For me, Chelsea had to make a

change, I would say they had to

bring Fabregas on, control it a bit

more, instead of Bakayoko. I can see

them running away with it.

Which

might suit Leicester, bringing on

Fabregas. Leicester have is to

attack a little bit more, which will

give Fabregas time on the ball to

hit them on the break as they did

not first half. From a Leicester

point of view they has to try to get

everyone ten yards further forward,

which might cause a bit of a gamble.

But also to try to get something out

of Vardy and Mahrez and let them do

some damage in and around the

18-yard box. At the minute they have

not been near it. Chelsea have

defended very well.

the Bakayoko, who has struggled in

the first half. I can't see any

changes with the Leicester players

come out a bit more, Cesc on the

pitch will pick people out. But we

will see.

the bit you has that passing

is crucial to have somebody in there

who can do that, especially when you
