Hello and welcome

to Slough Town, of the Southern

league Premier division. They are

one of two, seventh tier teams

confirmed in the second round of the

draw for the FA Cup and we are

joined by their joint manager, John

Underwood and their hat-trick hero,

in their 6-0 win at the weekend. The

draw for the second round is coming

up in ten minutes. It is a special

time for the club, John?

It is. Our

focus is all about getting promoted.

This started off as a nice

distraction but has turned into

something more special than that.

Is

it a big distraction?

Not a normal

Monday night.

That was an impressive

hat-trick, particularly the second

goal of the three?

I am not sure how

I managed it, I have never scored a

hat-trick.

All your team-mates are

nodding.

They are spot on. I haven't

scored a hat-trick until the week

before last and now I have scored

two in two weeks. The one on

Saturday was easy on the eye, than

the previous one. But it was

obviously a great thing to say I

have done.

Do you feel you are in a

rich vein of form?

I will probably

be on the bench on Saturday.

other joint manager is nodding

behind you. I had the chat you and

Neal were having before, whether he

is on a gold bonus or not. Neal

said, yes he is, so he's costing the

club money?

He is. A few blue behind

are questioning that.

You are in the

heart of the community, new stadium

the pitch is a 4G pitch, a home tie

to get this place for would-be

ideal?

Yes, it is a fantastic

facility, to have this packed out,

to get a league club, maybe get the

cameras, it would be a great

occasion. We are trying to build the

support for the club and the crowds

are going up and up and this will

help.

What is your aim as a club?

The reason I ask that, we did a lot

about Sutton last year and they said

they wanted to be the best

non-league community club they

wanted to be?

We want to get as high

as we can. The chairman is

ambitious, the managers, the

players, we are here to go higher.

It is a tough league to get out but

we want to get up another couple of

levels if we can. The support is

here, the infrastructure is here and

these sorts of occasions can only

help in terms of the profile.

To win

6-0 against a team in a higher

division, is it the best performance

you have had since you have been

here, you joined in the summer?

Definitely, we went into the game

thinking if we can win it will be

brilliant, but we would have taken a

draw at the start of the game,

brought them back here on Tuesday.

But to win 6-0, was incredible. It

all fell into place on Saturday.

What a day for it to fall into

place.

of Oxford City and Luke Garrett is

the manager of Boreham Wood. Your

league form isn't as you want it to

be?

It certainly isn't. That is what

made it even better. I don't think

many people gave us much of a chance

at Colchester. Obviously, you hope

and you try and prepare as

professionally as you can, but I

think we were just going to put on a

good performance. I have got to say

the lads were horrific, they played

so well. It was a great victory for

us.

We spoke on Saturday evening and

you said you were going to celebrate

with a Chinese and the X Factor.

Did

you? I did indeed.

You are midway up

the National League, how did you

find the gap between you and

Blackpool?

Huge, they could have

been three goals to the good in the

first half. The second half

performance warranted a win and the

manner in which we did it was very

pleasing.

Do you look ahead to the

third round and what might be?

You

take Lincoln and Sutton into

consideration, what they did last

year, we are one game away from

being in the third round and an

illustrious draw at Manchester

United or Manchester City.

Oxford

United went out in the first round,

but there isn't that much rivalry

and I think Oxford United help you

out of it?

They have been greater,

Oxford United, they have loaned us

some players in the past. We had a

new page, similar to Slough

installed in the summer and oxygen I

did was supportive, help us fund

that. I think some of the

supporters, they like the little bit

of rivalry, but we are not directly

competing against each other and we

try to work together.

Every draw, a

home tie against a league tie,

against the league side, would

increase the possibility of being on

television, which is important

financially for both of you?

100%,

it galvanises the community,

hopefully you can get people to the

door and they will return through

your league fixtures.

Do you need

more people through the doors?

We

certainly do I think we are one of

the more porous supporter clubs. It

is creating an atmosphere as well as

the financial benefits, but

hopefully this cup run will give us

a bit of exposure and people will

come and watch us.

runs we went on and we had a great

team spirit and we went expected to

go anywhere but we got all the way

to the semifinals. This is against

Bolton. Uneven pitch, but that God

is on the run. Played at Old

Trafford in the semifinal, great

memories.

We will say no more.

must say, upsets and lower league

Hereford 's Phoenix club, beating

Telford at the weekend to claim

their place in round two. They are

in the draw. As our Slough Town who

made short work of Gainsborough

Trinity, tremendous 6-0 win for

them. In terms of the numbers,

Hereford will be number 13 in the

draw coming here from Chorley.

Blackburn might come up for Chorley

It would be nicer to get it

at home but we go to Coventry, we

like?

A nightmare! No, he was a very

popular man at the ground. He came

We should

be pleased with a home draw, but

Billericay, that would be a tough

game. They've signed big names and

are making great waves in the

league. Sunny Moores is in charge of

but that's what the cup is all

about. It's a great game for them

and we look forward to it.

You've

had the highs and lows in recent

years in the cup. Last year, you

thought you would knock out Spurs,

3-2 up in the last few minutes but

they came back to win 4-3, I keep

feeling like I am bringing bad news!

That's when we went and had our big

day at White White Hart Lane, but we

know what Billericay and other

players can do... Would that prepare

you for someone like Leatherhead and

Billericay?

Yes, we went to Solihull

yesterday, we knew that we had to

put on a professional performance.

It's what we did yesterday and we

are looking to do the same again. We

are pleased to be at home but it

will be tough. And interestingly, do

you have the challenge of keeping

your players focused on the league

before the next one?

All of the lads

know that we are looking to win the

league. We are rotating in terms of

the squad and they will want to get

a place in the second round.

Hopefully they will keep it going.

We need

to improve our league form, we've

struggled in the league this year.
