Good evening from Edgar Street in

Hereford, we will bring you the

third round draw for the FA Cup in

less than ten minutes time, it's

that stage of the draw when the

Premier League and the championship

sides enter and non-league Hereford

FC are the lowest ranked side in the

draw. They play in the seventh tier

of English football in the egoistic

South Premier League and on Saturday

they got a historic draw against

Fleetwood.

Two sides reinvented and

reinvigorated in recent times, but

for divisions apart... -- four

divisions apart. The shot is into

the middle of the net! Hereford are

in front! A deflection onto the top

of the net... A good run from

Dempsey... Cole scores! The

celebrations are muted, it's more

relief than joy. Could not quite

reach it... Off the line. A

brilliant clearance from Eastham. It

is given away, and straightaway, it

goes to Hunter. On the far side,

Cole is waiting for it. It's off the

post. A famous day for Hereford FC.

One of the lowest ranked clubs left

in the FA Cup have played 18 four

divisions higher.

Peter Beadle is their manager, they

are both with me now. You must have

been proud of that performance?

Yes,

I knew that we could give a

performance but to do as well as

they did, that was really pleasing.

You were not meant to be starting,

you were on the bench, not fully

fit?

I found out that one of the

boys pulled out of the warm up

injured, so I took my chance. It's

also real, I'm excited for everyone

at the club, an occasion like this,

finding out who we could get.

What

is it like to play for this club? It

is a big club. Even if you are in

League 2 or League 1, but in the

seventh tier, everybody must be

coming for you?

What comes about as

a lot of expectation, but you have

players and the support is

incredible.

Is that important when

recruiting at this level, to get the

right players with the mentality to

deal with that?

Of course, we need

players with quality and who want to

progress and with the drive and the

purpose to go on and better

themselves and they have to be ready

for what comes with it, the

expectation which is huge for this

club. They want to make strides as

quickly as they can so when they do

that, so far they have never let me

down. Two promotions and they've

been brilliant to now. What have you

said to the players after the game?

You gathered them in a huddle on the

pitch.

We do that afterwards,

sometimes it is cramped and hot in

the changing rooms. We talked and

said how fantastic they were on the

day, how disciplined they were and

what character they showed

throughout the game. I said we may

have two hanging there towards the

end but they never let me down. They

hung in there on Saturday they

deserve to be there.

Do you think

you would be overawed at all going

against a League 1 side?

We knew

that we had to be on it, we perform

better in those games when we know

that we cannot get away with making

little errors. That's when we

perform our best.

How proud are you

with how this club has rebuilt, or

reformed, actually?

It is a fairy

tale, to travel the distance. Our

journey, two promotions, a Wembley

appearance, cups and trophies, it

comes at a price because the

expectation gets bigger every year,

but that is what we thrive on.

You

were with the club in League 2. In

the Conference. You were the

director of the youth team. Ease the

pain still there, do you think, for

a lot of people at this club after

what happened?

Hopefully we've gone

a long way on the field to bury that

and put it behind. The main thing we

focus on and the players we focus on

is looking forward, we want to keep

going forward and use the word

"Momentum" a lot, that's important

as we have gathered momentum early

on and keep going. We try not to

look back. I'm sure that for the

fans who have been here 34 years,

they see it as a sad time but we

want to focus on the forward come on

the future and where we could be

going.

And your beard is staying for

as long as you are in the club?

Yes!

I lost three semifinals and never

got the opportunity to lift this

beautiful trophy but making my debut

excited, what were the emotions?

I

didn't have time to be nervous. It

was a late call to join the team and

I was excited, I could not wait to

get out there. Good times.

it this far is an incredible

will try and get into the third

round proper for the first time in

three league games before our replay

so we need to focus on that. That is

our priority. That will be drilled

into them that the next three games

are vitally important but then we

can relax and enjoy the replay

knowing there is a huge incentive

for us to go through and a Premier

League team coming to Edgar Street.

You with that?

I think so. We've got

the game to get through first but I

think we wanted a Premiership team

and Leicester being the champions

the season before last, then it's a

great incentive that everyone.

I'd have preferred to be

playing at Leicester, if we get that

far. Credit to Fleetwood, we've got

to get past them first. Fleetwood

were very, very generous to us after

the game on Saturday. It was very

nice, they treated us very well.

As

you go round the country do you find

a lot of goodwill because of what

you've been through other club?

Yes,

I think in general we do. It's the

football family that you get outside

the top divisions and we all clubbed

together, competition on the pitch

but friendly off the pitch. It's

been very enjoyable.
