and the New York Giants as they descend on London for

:00:49.:00:50.

their game on Sunday at Twickenham Stadium.

:00:51.:00:52.

Osi discusses American Football with New York-born

:00:53.:00:54.

England rugby international Alex Corbisiero.

:00:55.:00:59.

There's highlights of last night's game

:01:00.:01:00.

between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers.

:01:01.:01:03.

And we'll bring you all the stories and action from around the NFL.

:01:04.:01:24.

Respect how hard it is weakened, week out, in the National Football

:01:25.:01:47.

League. Touchdown, baby. I'm damn proud to be part of this team right

:01:48.:01:51.

now, Dan Brown. -- damn proud. I'm here once again with our two

:01:52.:01:58.

ex-Giants - two-time Super Bowl winner Osi Umenyiora and former NFL

:01:59.:02:00.

cornerback Jason Bell. You must be loving that New York

:02:01.:02:03.

eyes will be on London this weekend? I'm going to see a few friends, got

:02:04.:02:09.

a few dinners planned, it is going to be good. It's just a social

:02:10.:02:12.

occasion for you? That is what it is all about. I am here with the two

:02:13.:02:25.

ex-Giants, you kind of spat it out! I am here with two ex-Giants! Are

:02:26.:02:33.

you looking forward to a? Once a Giant, always a Giant. I can't wait.

:02:34.:02:36.

A quick reminder that on BBC Two this Tuesday

:02:37.:02:38.

we will bring you all the best action from Week 7,

:02:39.:02:41.

and if you missed the show last week you

:02:42.:02:43.

can find it on iPlayer right now.

:02:44.:02:45.

First of all tonight we are going to focus on the New York Giants with

:02:46.:02:48.

highlights of their game against the Baltimore Ravens last weekend.

:02:49.:02:50.

This game it was all about losing streaks.

:02:51.:02:52.

The Giants were suffering a 3-match losing streak,

:02:53.:02:54.

the Ravens a two-match losing streak.

:02:55.:02:56.

But what was catching the most media attention?

:02:57.:02:58.

Giants superstar reciever Odell Beckham Jr

:02:59.:03:00.

For both teams, and Odell Beckham,

:03:01.:03:03.

it was all about getting back on track.

:03:04.:03:18.

COMMENTATOR: That is Beckham, he has lost the football out of the 30-yard

:03:19.:03:29.

line. All the lovers are automatically reviewed. The ball was

:03:30.:03:32.

clearly coming out. It is whether he has possession long enough to make

:03:33.:03:36.

it a catch. That is what it will ultimately determine. After

:03:37.:03:41.

reviewing the play the ruling stands. West. Diving to the end zone

:03:42.:04:01.

for the touchdown. Manning, touchdown, Roger Lewis Junior with

:04:02.:04:07.

his first NFL touchdown. New York kicked a 31 yard field goal in the

:04:08.:04:10.

first drive of the third quarter to make it 10-10. On the side of the

:04:11.:04:18.

field, trip up, the interception is made, and the interception by Young.

:04:19.:04:28.

The Giants, what a penalty marker, there are none on the field. The

:04:29.:04:33.

Ravens went three and down after the interception to take a 13-10 lead.

:04:34.:04:46.

From his own 25. Odell Beckham junior down the sideline for the

:04:47.:04:48.

touchdown! 4th goal from Baltimore for the

:04:49.:05:05.

halfway line. West, left side, looking for the end zone, and he

:05:06.:05:15.

will get there. Casillas the first to hit him. The 52nd field goal of

:05:16.:05:25.

the day from 35 yards, and New York responded through Brown to take a

:05:26.:05:31.

4-point lead. Left side, end zone, touchdown. They had a tight end and

:05:32.:05:38.

three receivers in the game, they spread it out, ran a fake reverse,

:05:39.:05:42.

made it look like the counter on the reverse, going Beeney to block the

:05:43.:05:48.

back side and into the end zone. Manning, on the slam. There,! --

:05:49.:06:05.

Beckham! Touchdown. Odell Beckham junior, eight catches, 222 yards, a

:06:06.:06:14.

career high, and two touchdowns. And into the net, which is the holy

:06:15.:06:30.

Grail. 3rd 15. Flacco on the move, he throws it to the end zone.

:06:31.:06:33.

Incomplete. There is only one man we can talk

:06:34.:06:53.

about. We do seem to spend a lot of time talking about him, and that is

:06:54.:07:00.

Odell Beckham. We have a chat software about his antics. You said

:07:01.:07:04.

that the game had not seen anything like him as regards his off field

:07:05.:07:09.

stuff. I'm going to say something, at the risk sounding blasphemous

:07:10.:07:15.

here in the United Kingdom, there was only one Beckham now, and his

:07:16.:07:23.

first name isn't David, it is only Odell! One of the most famous

:07:24.:07:28.

athletes on planet Earth right now, he has a whole package. Charisma, a

:07:29.:07:33.

great football player, a little crazy at times but he has the whole

:07:34.:07:37.

thing working for him. The stuff that he has been doing with the

:07:38.:07:41.

chicken net, and the controversial stuff, others that detract from his

:07:42.:07:46.

undoubted ability? I think it actually helps him. You put a

:07:47.:07:50.

spotlight on what he does on the field because he does so many things

:07:51.:07:59.

off the field that makes you think, what does he do as a player, and he

:08:00.:08:01.

makes the plays that legitimise his behaviour. There was about 1000

:08:02.:08:07.

camera people watching him have a conversation with Deion Sanders. It

:08:08.:08:10.

is ridiculous thing he has achieved in such a short period of time. I am

:08:11.:08:16.

happy for him. He has earned it. When the Giants are playing at home

:08:17.:08:20.

and away, are people buying tickets simply to see him in action? No

:08:21.:08:26.

doubt about it. He is electrifying, personality wise, he is a magnetic

:08:27.:08:30.

personality, and people want to see people like that on the field. If

:08:31.:08:35.

you're a fan of an opposing team, you totally want to see this guy

:08:36.:08:40.

play. Especially in person. Would you like to be a team-mate of his?

:08:41.:08:47.

That is kind of hard. That is a tough question. With what he brings

:08:48.:08:52.

on the field, absolutely. You can forgive some of the things he does

:08:53.:08:56.

off the field because of the way he plays on the field. I have never

:08:57.:09:01.

seen a receiver be such the heartbeat of a team before, like he

:09:02.:09:06.

is. Would you be having a word with him to calm it down sometimes? Not

:09:07.:09:13.

if he is making plays like that. Is he the most charismatic,

:09:14.:09:15.

good-looking player to have ever played for the Giants? 100%! Of

:09:16.:09:33.

course not! Look how I smile. This guy is a humble guy. That is why we

:09:34.:09:35.

We can now hear from the man himself are friends!

:09:36.:09:40.

as, earlier today, he attended the press conference.

:09:41.:09:46.

You have got to come out and play the way that we are capable of

:09:47.:09:53.

playing. No matter what I do there is going to be extra attention. You

:09:54.:09:58.

have just got to go out and meet personally, do the best for my team,

:09:59.:10:10.

and everybody in the locker room knows what it is with me, how I feel

:10:11.:10:14.

about them and what I am willing to do and give for them, each and every

:10:15.:10:21.

day. And I just want to thank them. Let's pick out the significant

:10:22.:10:28.

results in week six. Washington are really on a roll and Philadelphia

:10:29.:10:33.

have lost two on the spin after that 27-20 win for the Redskins. Esbjerg

:10:34.:10:41.

surprised against the Miami Dolphins. The Buffalo Bills roll on

:10:42.:10:44.

the these comfortable win against San Francisco. Another divisional

:10:45.:10:50.

game and Oakland came off worse against Kansas City, and an

:10:51.:10:55.

impressive win for Dallas against the Green Bay Packers. And this is

:10:56.:11:02.

what all those results to to the division. When you look at the Jets

:11:03.:11:10.

and the Browns in particular, you would say that the season is

:11:11.:11:15.

virtually over for the Browns. This is a team that won ten games last

:11:16.:11:19.

year, they have a contract dispute, and he has not come back and played

:11:20.:11:23.

well at all. In that division, no coming out of that. As far as the

:11:24.:11:33.

NFC is concerned, again, picking out sides like the Bears and the 49ers,

:11:34.:11:37.

you would definitely say, but the real surprise has to be the Carolina

:11:38.:11:43.

Panthers. It is a huge surprise. They put a lot of blame on camp but

:11:44.:11:47.

that defense is not playing as good as last year. Who are surprise? I'm

:11:48.:11:54.

not surprised. You're not surprised about the Bears and the 49ers. The

:11:55.:11:58.

Bears, definitely, I thought that Jay Cutler was good to have a good

:11:59.:12:04.

year, so far he hasn't. Colin Kapaernick came in and was not able

:12:05.:12:08.

to save them and they are where they are. Let's take a look at the

:12:09.:12:14.

playoffs. Each divisional winner goes through then you have two wild

:12:15.:12:18.

Cards and depending on their records, that is how everybody is

:12:19.:12:22.

seeded, and the top two seeds in each conference get a bye into the

:12:23.:12:27.

next weekend. So in the NFC, the Patriots and Raiders would be

:12:28.:12:33.

through, the Steelers and Texans in the playoffs, and in the NFC, is

:12:34.:12:37.

anyone surprisingly at the moment in that list? I am surprised that the

:12:38.:12:44.

Redskins. You have got to give Kirk Cousins some credit, because he is

:12:45.:12:48.

bouncing back. This is early, but to be honest, this is what I expected

:12:49.:12:53.

the playoff to look like at the end of this year. Maybe not this exact

:12:54.:12:57.

order, but I thought these teams would be in the playoffs.

:12:58.:13:04.

Particularly the AFC South, a great comeback, but anyone could win that

:13:05.:13:08.

division. There is no definitive winner. Them being on top of that

:13:09.:13:14.

conference, it can happen. Let's take a look at one of the

:13:15.:13:23.

performances of the week that came from British-born Ajayi of the

:13:24.:13:28.

Steelers. They are looking for a running back, so if he can put

:13:29.:13:32.

another game like this together he might be the future for them. Is

:13:33.:13:36.

that the important thing, that another game like this comes along

:13:37.:13:41.

soon? He has had injury issues in college, so it is about his

:13:42.:13:45.

durability. If he can stay durable that could be a future for him. And

:13:46.:13:50.

we in London are looking for a running back and he could be it in

:13:51.:13:58.

this particular game. But he cannot cover for all of the Bears, because

:13:59.:14:00.

he is injured. Just one game... As this week American Football

:14:01.:14:05.

will be visiting Twickenham, the home of rugby, Osi visited

:14:06.:14:07.

New York-born England international rugby player

:14:08.:14:09.

Alex Corbisiero to talk rugby, football, and the physicality

:14:10.:14:13.

of their sports. Were at St Mary University, five

:14:14.:14:27.

minutes from Twickenham Stadium. The NFL is coming to Twickenham, the

:14:28.:14:31.

home of England rugby, something that my next guest holds dear to his

:14:32.:14:38.

heart, an outstanding player Alex Corbisiero. How are you? I'm good. I

:14:39.:14:48.

am good, I am here with you. You look like a tank, man. I am excited

:14:49.:14:52.

that the NFL is coming to Twickenham, man. I am a Jets fan.

:14:53.:14:59.

Because of that, I'm going to go extra hard on you today. You are

:15:00.:15:10.

still in excellent shape, man. I appreciate that. Apparently American

:15:11.:15:16.

football is twice as physical as rugby. How do you see that? I think

:15:17.:15:24.

that the impacts are above what we get in rugby. We get the repetitive

:15:25.:15:28.

load but you guys get a 1-shot knockout load. I've had my fair

:15:29.:15:34.

share of injuries to my knees, shoulders and bicep. I have had five

:15:35.:15:38.

knee surgeries, I have torn cartilage in my knee. So, yes. I

:15:39.:15:45.

know what I'm talking about. As a fan of the NFL, I have seen the hard

:15:46.:15:51.

knocks and how ruthless the sport can be. Guys can turn up and be cut,

:15:52.:15:57.

then they are on their own. In rugby, you have a season or so of

:15:58.:16:05.

security. It is tough. You also know at the end of the day that you are

:16:06.:16:09.

playing for yourself, and you have to go out there every single week

:16:10.:16:12.

and perform, because if you don't, you're gone.

:16:13.:16:18.

23 bench presses. It's uncharted territory. I think you're trying to

:16:19.:16:30.

set me up Alex. I think you're going to do 225, easily. Cut! That didn't

:16:31.:16:46.

happen! The sport is growing to a new audience but at the same time

:16:47.:16:49.

you've got a hard core audience of the sport as well which is the

:16:50.:16:53.

situation for you over here with the BBC. For me the biggest thing to

:16:54.:16:57.

adapt to is walking that line between not trying to insult the

:16:58.:17:02.

die-hard fans but open the game up to a new audience. How have you

:17:03.:17:06.

found that with the British audience? I just said I'd be myself.

:17:07.:17:10.

I'm going to explain things the way I do but going to have fun watching

:17:11.:17:16.

it. It's been a good time. Are you ready? Let's do it, man.

:17:17.:17:27.

Given all you've been through, all the injuries that you have right

:17:28.:17:38.

now, but you do it again? I'd have played for my country, I've won the

:17:39.:17:40.

premiership title, I'd want a Lions series, I wouldn't trade one of

:17:41.:17:47.

those experiences. Just get this last one! 23...! There it is! You

:17:48.:18:01.

got the 20 pretty easy. And then I fell off the cliff! Were you

:18:02.:18:12.

surprised at his physicality? No, because I know rugby is a physical

:18:13.:18:15.

sport. I was surprised at how big and strong he was. If he were to

:18:16.:18:22.

play American football where would he play? Defensive tackle. And if

:18:23.:18:26.

you were to play rugby where would you play? I don't know much about

:18:27.:18:31.

rugby, you tell me. I think it want to be as far away from physical

:18:32.:18:35.

contact as possible to protect those good looks! LAUGHTER

:18:36.:18:38.

Before we look ahead to the Giant's oppostion this weekend, the LA Rams,

:18:39.:18:41.

it's highlights of last nights NFC North game between the Chicago Bears

:18:42.:18:44.

A loss for the Bears would all but confirm

:18:45.:18:48.

the end of their season, but for the Packers

:18:49.:18:50.

it was about keeping the undefeated Vikings looking

:18:51.:18:52.

COMMENTATOR: It's knocked out of the hands at a lot better and six. The

:18:53.:19:15.

pressure got to him, forced that in completion. Peppers and Matthews

:19:16.:19:22.

colliding on Brian Hoyer, and he is hurt.

:19:23.:20:12.

Incomplete. And now, Kidd is gone. One and five with the flag, and the

:20:13.:20:32.

ball comes out of the hands of Rogers. And it is recovered in the

:20:33.:20:41.

end zone by Leonard Freud. He kept working and got back in action

:20:42.:20:44.

tonight. The fumble was recovered by

:20:45.:21:02.

touchdown for Chicago. The Fonte add-ons for the touchdown. He

:21:03.:21:07.

battled for it against Adams and he won that battle. To the end zone.

:21:08.:21:15.

And it is Adams again with the touchdown. The number one play, the

:21:16.:21:28.

Green Bay Packers won. 3rd 6. That is on the run. End zone, and it is a

:21:29.:21:46.

touchdown. Randall Todd, in of LeBlanc. He starts to celebrate. He

:21:47.:21:57.

is not down yet. He has got to be careful with the football. Like a

:21:58.:22:04.

wild Bronco, he is finally down at the 38. Good job on Morgan Barnett.

:22:05.:22:19.

Fighting for it, and it is picked up by Perry. He sacked his old college

:22:20.:22:29.

mate, Green Day four and two and that Bears fullback to one and six,

:22:30.:22:34.

back down to their third team quarterback tonight. It is a good

:22:35.:22:42.

match. And still I had my head down and trying to win everything. But

:22:43.:22:50.

overall, again from the top down it has been tall. Lots of passes to the

:22:51.:22:55.

offensive line up, they played really well, they give me a lot of

:22:56.:22:59.

time and the receivers did a good job of working to get open, and we

:23:00.:23:02.

just put it down field. As far as the Rams are concerned

:23:03.:23:50.

offensively, how do you see this quarterback situation? You have got

:23:51.:23:59.

to go with Case Keenem. He was getting the play from the sideline

:24:00.:24:03.

and there is a lot of in the NFL when you have to make these plays

:24:04.:24:06.

and adjustments and he's not ready yet. Why pick him and draft him in

:24:07.:24:12.

the offseason, they went high, he was number one in the draft. Why go

:24:13.:24:17.

for him if he's not ready? A little confusing but maybe they thought in

:24:18.:24:21.

the future he'd be an outstanding quarterback. To pick a guy at number

:24:22.:24:27.

one overall, you never see a guy picked number one sitting for the

:24:28.:24:31.

bench for this period of time, so he must be so far behind in that system

:24:32.:24:35.

he does not know what to do. That increases the pressure on him, and

:24:36.:24:40.

increases the pressure on the franchise. They have to be patient.

:24:41.:24:43.

It is hard to find quarterbacks. When they got their hands on them

:24:44.:24:48.

they thought we have got to take time and develop this guy. They

:24:49.:24:54.

started off strong defensively, not particularly offensively. But they

:24:55.:24:57.

have Ashley scored some points in the last couple of weeks. And it is

:24:58.:25:01.

defensively that they have been weaker. They have got some injuries,

:25:02.:25:07.

defensively. And you cannot overstate the importance of Case

:25:08.:25:12.

Keenem. Defensively, though, they are just not getting it done. And I

:25:13.:25:18.

am at the offensive guy... You look at the offensive line play there,

:25:19.:25:23.

and it has not been that good. And that coincides with great defensive

:25:24.:25:27.

play. They are just not playing good on defense, because they are not

:25:28.:25:32.

maintaining drives. Just to break that down, you are blaming the Rams'

:25:33.:25:38.

friends for the defense of problems? Because you are a defensive guy.

:25:39.:25:46.

Most good defenses have great running games. I was watching the

:25:47.:26:00.

Hard Knocks showed on the NFL and they were saying don't touch Gurley.

:26:01.:26:06.

I have never heard them saying that about a running back. A quarterback,

:26:07.:26:12.

yes. In practice, you don't touch the quarterback, but a running

:26:13.:26:19.

back,... I played with Smith, and you did not sneeze on him! He was

:26:20.:26:27.

38. He should toughen up. I didn't understand what that was. In

:26:28.:26:31.

practice, I don't touch the running back? Ridiculous. That is what this

:26:32.:26:33.

showing up on tape right now. Everything has been outstanding

:26:34.:26:52.

since our arrival here. Players are coming around now. We've put the

:26:53.:26:57.

difficult loss behind us and looking forward to the weekend. Any time you

:26:58.:27:06.

don't win, you don't accomplish all your goals, it takes a bit of time

:27:07.:27:10.

to look back and learn from your mistakes. I think we are ready to

:27:11.:27:16.

move on. We are ready to get on the practice field and looking forward

:27:17.:27:21.

to next week. It's exciting we are doing it here in London. The main

:27:22.:27:26.

goal is obviously to win the ball game. We approach each game with

:27:27.:27:34.

everything we've got. We are in good shape and looking forward to the

:27:35.:27:35.

Giants. We've just got time to look at this

:27:36.:27:46.

week's highs and lows. The Cardinals have the praline gay and whoever

:27:47.:27:50.

loses it has to go in front seat dressed to the match. Patrick

:27:51.:27:54.

Peterson lost and ended up going as a dinosaur. Marcus Mariota combining

:27:55.:28:03.

for this stunning touchdown for the Titans, with a bit of help from the

:28:04.:28:09.

opposition to get over the line. The Eagles were particularly good

:28:10.:28:13.

defensively when it came to scoring touchdowns against Washington.

:28:14.:28:20.

Wendell Smallwood with this 86 yard kick-off return. And then Malcolm

:28:21.:28:27.

Jenkins with this interception. Watch Kurt cousins. Realise he's a

:28:28.:28:33.
