Week 7 The NFL Show

Unbelievable. How did he do that? The Denver Broncos are world

champions. Good evening and welcome to the NFL

show. Tonight we will be looking ahead to the game between the

Washington Redskins and the Cincinnati Bengals as they play in

the third and final game to be played in Britain this year. Osi

gets a lesson between the sticks on West Ham's current goalkeeper and

their goalkeeping coach, Chris Woods. This is pretty easy, man!

Lobby highlights from last week's game between the Jaguar 's and

Titans. And we'll bring you all the stories from another week of NFL

action. Can you call my mother and tell her

Get right that. With me as ever, two-time Super Bowl

winner Osi and former Texan Cowboy Jason Bell. As you are both Giants,

here is the obligatory mention of the Giants. Did you enjoy

Twickenham? I did. I enjoyed the Giants winning and I enjoyed that it

was an defense. It was great, great atmosphere, great enthusiasm. A

wonderful experience. Were there more Giants fan than Rams quiz? They

really came out to support New York. That's because they say that the

biggest in the world. Time to look the Washington Redskins and how they

got on against the Detroit Lions last week. The red guards had an

uneasy start to the season with two straight losses against tricky

opposition. Since then it's been four wins out of four. A playoff

berth in the opposition were losses are rare. The Lions resurrected

their season with a team of fighters that have left the fighters within a

score of the opposition of every game so far this season.

Chris Thomson splits out wide, back for 2nd 10. Cousins, pressure.

Cousins, he goes down. Sacked by Bryant. On the 3rd 10. Up in the

air, caught by Tate. He's got the 1st down. It sees them across to 35

and 34. It looked like it hit LaShawn. First from the seventh.

Handoff Jones with a second effort. Diving, loses the ball in the end

zone. That's recovered by the Lions. Damon Wilson recovers it in the end

zone. And Hopkins kick is off the upright. No good. On first, downplay

action. Stanford, he's got it going downfield. Court, flag on the play.

It's Jones. If you're going to grab him, grab him. Don't just put a hand

on it. 2nd down and eight. That's an opportunity here for the Lions.

Stanford taking the shots to the end zone. Just shy of it. And it's

caught. Handoff into the end zone for a touchdown. On the 3rd 1, one

extra offense. Cousins, a fumble! Recovered. Recovered by the Lions.

2nd down and ten. Cousins. Looking for Davis. He's got him. Davis gets

brought down just shy of the goal-line. Cousins froze. Touchdown!

Robert Kelly. He keeps it. Cousins running to the end zone, touchdown!

Kirk Cousins does it with his feet. Stafford over the middle. Andre

Roberts inside the 20, down the 18. Stanford completes in the end zone,

touchdown! And that's the game. Three in a row for the Lions.

Matthews, suffered engineering that game-winning drive. -- Matthew

Stafford engineering by game-winning drive. 20-17 in the Lions and the

four-game winning streak. Let's keep this game rolling. Good job, what a

fight. We said going into that that the

Lions are fighters. But we aren't going to focus on the Lions, we will

focus on the Redskins because they're coming to Wembley this

weekend. Is Kirk Cousins the man that could lead them to the playoffs

and beyond? He could be. He has his faults but he's playing well right

now within that office. They need to come back on turning the ball over,

including him. He has discovered that to do it. What are his faults?

I think she's turning the ball over. As a quarterback, you can never have

that position. He had made questionable decision sometimes with

a football. If you make questionable decision-making, you will not lead

your team very fast bike its a sport that likes to rank people, the NFL.

If you were to rank him in the top 20 quarterbacks in the league, I'm

assuming you would both put him in the 20, where would he be? He would

be at the bottom half for me. 10-15, may be lower. It all depends how you

finish the season. He had a couple of good games with his passing

range, but before he wasn't doing that well. I'm not sold on him. I

would say right now there's not that many great quarterbacks in the NFL

right now. There are a good 5-7 elite quarterbacks. After that, it's

kind of like a mumbo jumbo quarterbacks who are right there.

Given the fact that he led his team to be playoffs last year, that's

what I would put him around top ten. They have a problem with Matt Jones.

He is fumbling a lot. I know they're working with him. They'd better be!

Will use your expertise. Don't fumble. What's the best way to hold

the ball? The best way is three points pressure. And, bicep and

body. You want to get those three points pressure and squeeze it

tight. I wasn't even flinching! When you hold it like that, is it hard to

run? It is. We had a fumble with a team-mate of hours and this is what

cleaned up. You saw him running down the field and thought how funny it

was, nobody can come from behind. You thought you were going to get

that out. I had complete confidence, I knew if he won the ball there was

no way. I'm a little nervous right now. The Redskins arrived this

morning and we caught up with them at a press conference.

Every game is important. There really is no small stage in the NFL.

London certainly isn't one. No one's going to go away quietly so we have

a lot of work to do to be where we want to be. It appears to be good

for our league to have a team here. The people here responded so well.

It just creates the desire to take another step forward. Eventually you

take enough steps were maybe a team is here full-time. Clearly, the

stepson process so far have been very positive. Have I ever played

rugby? Only at recess in elementary school, the playground. It's a

violent sport. We think we're pretty tough and physical. Take the pants

off and do the same thing, it's a whole other level.

Let's take a look at the other results from Week 7. The Packers

continued to make it a miserable season for the Bears with a 26-10

win. The Giants beat the Rams. The 100% record has gone with Minnesota

Vikings losing to the Philadelphia Eagles. Kansas City continue with

that win against the Saints. The Oakland Raiders are another side.

San Francisco's miserable season continues. The Patriot: with a win

over pit work. A bizarre game we would talk about in a moment. That

isn't a mistake on the graphic with the Apple and Arizona, it did finish

6-6. -- with the Apple and Arizona. Confirmation of how excited the AFC

West is. NFC East, another fascinating side. Confirmation

Minnesota's 100% has gone. There's a tie figure the NFC West. The NFC

South is finely balanced funds to the Falcons losing to the

challenges. -- thanks to the Falcons losing. The two best sides who want

the divisional winners picked up the wild card. The top two divisional

winners will get. The Seahawks will take on the Eagles

and the Falcons will take on the Packers. No side has gone better

than five and zero. Does that surprise you will does not highlight

how balanced this league is? It's hard to win every week. These teams

are good. It's hard to say I be competitive like that. When we spoke

about the Vikings last week we suggested that by week might be nice

for them to relax and go again. Maybe the bye week is negative and

they lost momentum. If you do that, you're not praising the Eagles

enough. The Eagles played well but with the Vikings, there is something

between them. There's something about them I just don't like. I

don't think they're quite as good. Kind of like a middle-aged man that

owns a cat. It's just something that... Something's not quite right

with that. That's what it's like with the Minnesota Vikings. There

are a good team, good and defense, but something is not quite right. I

completely disagree. The cat thing? That might be something that will

catch me up. The Minnesota Vikings, I'm not worried about them so much.

I'm kind of glad they lost because right now whatever issues they have,

they can fix. When you're winning, no one wants to rock the boat. I

know what it is. Tell me what position their exceptional at

outside of the defense line? The DVs. The safeties are exceptional

and they have an exceptional corner. Something is just not right with

them. I just don't think you like purple. We'll explore that as the

season goes on. Let me take you to another game. Let's look at the

Cardinals and the Seahawks and the ending. We are in overtime and both

sides missed field goals that would have one the game. When you see

this, Bruce Arend captures the moment perfectly. He keeps his hand

in the right position to not celebrate that win. You can be cut

in various kick might have affected. I do. Psychologically, going through

the motions of watching it, he should have turned away because you

see how badly missed. It's like, that is just terrible. A guy with

that calibre of kick. The disbelief and Pete Carroll's face. There's no

way other professional kick you can mistake it for the game win that

badly. Something had to have affected him and I definitely agree

with Jason. You saw the anger on Bruce's face as Arizona missed their

field goal. The anger continued in his post-match press conference.

This is professional, this isn't high school. You get paid to make

it. Do you like that in a coach? Would you like that in a locker

room? I think I would. Because from what I hear about him, you know

where you stand. But good as a player. Give us an appreciation of

Jay Ajayi who has broken records, not broken records, but put himself

in exalted company this week. One of only four players to have gone back

to back with 200 rushing yards. You are the other guys? I'm going to

show you a graphic with the other guys, Osi. He's playing outstanding

football, he's a tough physical running back. He runs between the

tackles. He doesn't have explosive speed, but he plays to his

strengths. Look at him run over these defenders.

He is he's -- he's a strong runner. He feels like he can make those

carriers now. Here are the graphics. There is Jay Ajayi at the top. Ricky

Williams, Earl Campbell back in 1980 and then moving swiftly on, OJ

sometimes I play in the go. It is hard. I have gained so much more

respect for goalkeepers. Were going to start with your feet. It all

to play for England? And you were called up to Spain? Tell me about

that, how does that feel, as a national team player. In American

football, we don't get to experience that. Immense pride, to think that

you have gone out and represented your country, I don't think there is

any better feeling, the proudest I have ever been. My national team is

one of the best in the world. No national team won this kind of big

tournament in a row. That's pretty easy, man! Were going

to try and go a little bit lower. 1-0. This is what people think about

soccer players. Well done, good. I retired after the

14th season. What made you think you were done? I played like 12 years, I

will go training and lift weights and the next day, I would feel so

much pain. I thought there was no possible way I would be able to go

through the rigours of a full season. Once you start to doubt

yourself and think, maybe I can't do this, you should definitely retire

because your heart and mind are not fully into it. I just decided to

shut it down. Penalty shoot out, right now. He is a great keeper, a

great guy. He is going to win, but I'm not scared. I have to be honest,

I'm scared. I've seen you doing this before. Stay on your line.

Just be careful. You're supposed to get down to that. I couldn't even

see it! That is not my job. I think I'm just no good. My level of

respect from the goalkeeper went from being already high because I

knew it was hard, but that is ridiculous. I really appreciated.

West Ham, these guys took me a lesson today. Last night saw a mat

in AFC South, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans have

suffered inconsistencies that they are still in touch with the division

leaders, the Texans and a win for either will go a long way towards

keeping their playoff dreams alive. First to ten and play action. He is

going for the big one. He has got the touchdown. Kendall Wright! There

is that speed. He gets the block and once again, even though Ramsay is

outside coming here is in a good position. I got him, know I don't.

200 yards more offense for the Titans. Slips out of the tackle.

Runs down the sideline. Did he ever step about? Got a touchdown signal.

That has got to be close. It has got to be close. He is tied, long-term

down the sideline. He definitely steps out here at the 15. There he

goes. 1st down a handoff, Marie, breaks free. He dives and he has got

out. Wait until you see what the quarterback did. Look how open, stay

in there, no! He reverses field. He keeps his block on the outside,

Taylor Lewan. He has the touchdown. That is Julius Thomas. He is taken

off. Got an open man, he has got a touchdown, it is Matthews! 2nd 5.

There goes Murray. Almost taken off the of Smith. -- their helmet. This

is what we saw all mass -- last year. Amazing. Good touchdown. Nice

play. A cross for the touchdown. Closes out the game. Dramatically

falls to the terror. Tennessee will go into the back half of the season

at four and four. Here are the rest of the fixtures. Obviously we will

talk more about Washington and Cincinnati in a moment, the Patriots

go to the Buffalo Bills. A repeat of last Championship game which will

bring back bad memories for the Cardinals as they go to the

Panthers, huge game between the Chargers and the Broncos. And when

you look at that final page of fixtures, there is one that stands

out, which is Eagles against the Cowboys because they do not like

each other. That is a huge rivalry and on top of that, to rookie

quarterback 's plane as down it will be great to watch. Forget about

those two defenses. It is all about the quarterbacks. Let's talk more

about Cincinnati. Last year when we spoke about them, you both said they

were going to win the Super Bowl, it was going to be that season, because

they would have to get rid of some higher earning players. It was that

year. They lost Marvin Jones and look what he is doing in Detroit. He

was a great outlet. They had to revamp. The worst loss was Hugh

Jackson. He was the heartbeat of the team. He left and took their hard

with him. They kept AJ Green. It is not all negatives. He is ahead of

O'Dell Beckham and just behind Julio Jones. As long as they have him,

they have a chance. I love the way he attacks the ball. That is what

you want with a big receiver. He goes up and get that. The thing

about AJ Green, even though he puts up these yards, nobody really talks

too much about him, they talk a lot about am Julio Jones and they talk

about Odell Beckham, but they don't talk too much about him. Do you like

the fact that they only have a small window to keep it fair, they have to

let some star names go? It is a win now Lee, you'd want to be on a team

work you are stuck with the rebuild title. You want to win now. As far

as Andy Dalton is concerned, we ranked Kurt cousins, where would you

put Dalton? I would say top ten. He would be in my top ten despite the

fact I do not like his red hair. I would put him at number 11 Sibley

because of his red hair. Red hair, people with cats, the colour

purple... You don't know what you will get with me. None of that is

rational. I like him, around six or seven, he can make all the throws.

He has to be consistent and win big games. A member of the crew has red

hair and he is now giving you evils. Earlier today, we caught up with the

red headed Andy Dalton and their head coach at the press conference.

I think it is going to be a cool atmosphere. We expect a good crowd

and hopefully there will be big plays and I am going to enjoy it. We

prepared quite a bit differently. The focus on getting your rest and

your sleep before we left, the ability to shut down and go to sleep

after dinner on the plane and then wake up and it is going to be Friday

morning and were going to go about things as we do on the Friday. So, I

was pleased with the way are guys handle things. Today is a mental

day, not a physical day, it is the speed and temple that we go. We will

try and make sure our bodies are feeling right for Sunday. We know

why we are here, we are here to play a football game. Were here for the

game and I think that's our whole focus and were putting a lot of

importance on this because that is what matters. Just time for us to

look at the highs and lows of the NFL week. And the first of many

firsts at Twickenham as we had a pussycat Doll singing the National

Anthem. Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me? A bit of

land and enjoying London, great interception touchdown by Landon

Collins. The distance he runs across the pitch is not taken into account

in the overall yardage. Just for work-out yards! He eventually made

it over. This was not at Twickenham but there was a great up and under

here from Andrew luck to Helton. Now, it was a good week for one

special team, not for others as we will see in a moment. 98 yard

touchdown and that is how a tries to tackle. There you go. A good

out, Odell Beckham. That is what he does. For some special teams, it was

not a great day. Here are the Jets, Edwards missed it, fumbled it and

the Ravens went over for easy points. Look at that athleticism! As

you saw on Tuesday, Jason trying to recreate that. With interesting

results. And if at first you can catch it, try and use the

opposition's helmet. Finally, a miserable week for some special

teams, when it's not going well for you, it's not going well for you.
