Federer's first set. First break of the match.

:01:06.:01:16.

That is a brilliant response to losing the first set.

:01:17.:01:23.

That is brilliant work from Novak Djokovic. Two sets to one.

:01:24.:01:34.

It is the break and Djokovic is ahead in the fourth set. And Federer

:01:35.:01:46.

has broken back. It's long, it is a break, it is four

:01:47.:01:52.

games in a row. It's out. It's five games in a row.

:01:53.:01:58.

Federer has saved the match point and are going to distance. It's

:01:59.:02:11.

away. Championship point. It's Djokovic who claims this

:02:12.:02:18.

classic. That was the story of the match, it

:02:19.:02:21.

was a final that promised so much and it did not disappoint. Five

:02:22.:02:27.

thrilling set, Djokovic having a championship point in the fourth

:02:28.:02:29.

set, having to go the distance because of feasted brilliance, he

:02:30.:02:33.

has to dig deep. His body was letting him down but he found way to

:02:34.:02:39.

win, and this victory is so sweet for Djokovic who has lost five of

:02:40.:02:44.

his last six Grand Slam final, including the last three and very,

:02:45.:02:49.

very emotional on court. Victory really did taste good. Delight in

:02:50.:02:55.

the camp, the Djokovic camp. His second Wimbledon title to the won he

:02:56.:03:02.

one in 2011. -- to the one he won in 2011.

:03:03.:03:07.

Emotional scenes as he went to greet his team. Climbing up, but it is not

:03:08.:03:15.

Pat Cashesque, they have a gate to go through so they don't have too

:03:16.:03:23.

many risks getting to their team. The physio, all of his friends and

:03:24.:03:28.

family in the box, and they know how much this meant to Novak Djokovic.

:03:29.:03:33.

He has been so close in the Grand Slams. He had such an outstanding

:03:34.:03:39.

year in 2011, and a big hug for coach Boris Becker, who has

:03:40.:03:42.

encouraged him to come forward, but with the success there is

:03:43.:03:47.

disappointment, and for Roger, who gave his all, it wasn't to be

:03:48.:03:52.

history, it wasn't to be an eighth Wimbledon title for Roger, but it

:03:53.:03:56.

was a match that we will all remember. So Novak comes back on

:03:57.:04:00.

court, he collects his trophy, this is what he has to say to me

:04:01.:04:04.

afterwards. This is a very emotional time, isn't

:04:05.:04:13.

it? Yes. Yes. First of all, I want to congratulate Roger for a great

:04:14.:04:17.

tournament and great fight today. It was a great match to be part of.

:04:18.:04:25.

He is a magnificent champion and a great example of a great athlete and

:04:26.:04:32.

role model for many kids, so I respect your career, and everything

:04:33.:04:37.

you have done, and thank you for letting me win today.

:04:38.:04:49.

LAUGHTER. APPLAUSE

:04:50.:04:53.

You were 5-2 up, championship point, how did you turn it round? Well, I

:04:54.:04:57.

was hoping that Roger was goes to miss the first serve, but that

:04:58.:05:01.

didn't happen, and it rarely happens, and you know, that is why

:05:02.:05:06.

he, he has 17 Grand Slams, and he has been the most successful player

:05:07.:05:10.

ever, because in important moments he comes up with his best shots and

:05:11.:05:15.

top game, and of course, after dropping a fourth set, it wasn't

:05:16.:05:21.

easy to regroup, and entirely compose myself and find the

:05:22.:05:24.

necessary energy to win the fifth. I don't know how I managed to do it,

:05:25.:05:29.

and this is the tournament that I always dreamed of winning, this is

:05:30.:05:33.

the best tournament in the world, the most valuable one. This is the

:05:34.:05:41.

first tennis match that... APPLAUSE

:05:42.:05:46.

Really. The first tennis match that I seen over in my life when I was

:05:47.:05:50.

five-year-old was Wimbledon, and that stuck to my mind, to be able to

:05:51.:05:55.

compete in such a high level, I am so grateful for this opportunity,

:05:56.:05:58.

and to be able to hold this trophy, I dedicate it to a few people

:05:59.:06:03.

please, if you have time. First of all, I would like to dedicate it to

:06:04.:06:15.

my future wife, and our future baby. APPLAUSE

:06:16.:06:23.

I am going to become a father soon, so I am still preparing for that,

:06:24.:06:32.

and it's a great joy in life, and I would like to dedicate to it my

:06:33.:06:35.

family, my parent, my brothers, and all the family, and my team, of

:06:36.:06:41.

course, for sacrificing a lot of their free time, lives, in order for

:06:42.:06:45.

me to live the dream and be where I am at this moment. And then, last

:06:46.:06:49.

but not least I would like to dedicate this title to my first

:06:50.:06:53.

coach, that taught me all the basics of tennis shots and behaviour and

:06:54.:06:57.

everything I know about tennis, Jelena Gencic, she passed away last

:06:58.:07:02.

year and this is for her. Ladies and gentlemen, the Wimbledon

:07:03.:07:10.

champion, Novak Djokovic. Well a very emotional Novak

:07:11.:07:13.

Djokovic, taking a taste of the Centre Court, as a memento, and

:07:14.:07:19.

talking so passionately about his first coach, Jelena Gencic, who made

:07:20.:07:22.

him fall in love with the game, and gave him the belief to become a

:07:23.:07:25.

Wimbledon champion, and he has done it for the second time, and these

:07:26.:07:30.

were the scenes on the balcony on the members' balcony, showing all

:07:31.:07:33.

the fans that have been on the hill and round Wimbledon, who didn't have

:07:34.:07:36.

a play on -- place on Centre Court. They wanted to be here to see the

:07:37.:07:40.

Wimbledon champion crowned. This is one of the lovely traditions here at

:07:41.:07:43.

the tournament, so everyone can get a picture of the Wimbledon champion.

:07:44.:07:49.

And it will be lovely memory for Novak Djokovic, as well. Jimmy and

:07:50.:07:52.

Tim are still with me. He was talking about his future wife and

:07:53.:07:56.

expecting the baby. It is just as well she wasn't here, that final

:07:57.:08:02.

would have been a worry. A bit early. It was emotional and talking

:08:03.:08:06.

about his first coach. Everyone has a first coach that, you know, made

:08:07.:08:10.

them the player they become. Well, you get round the game, and you hit

:08:11.:08:17.

a few balls and you learn a bit, but to have somebody there is there to

:08:18.:08:20.

bring you out of your shell and to get you to be part of what you would

:08:21.:08:25.

eventually like to do, that is pretty special and for him to

:08:26.:08:29.

remember her, and to give her the credit, the credit starts from the

:08:30.:08:33.

beginning, he is right, and she deserves that, but he is the one

:08:34.:08:37.

that has to come out and do all of that, and, and along the way, with

:08:38.:08:42.

her guidance, he has turned into now a two time Wimbledon champion, that

:08:43.:08:47.

is pretty cool. Are used to hit with you when you were ten, but I don't

:08:48.:08:51.

think you are going to say much to me! Wonderful performance from Novak

:08:52.:08:57.

Djokovic, such guts to lose a Championship point, 5-2 up. It

:08:58.:09:00.

looked like he was cruising through the set and he had to dig deep and

:09:01.:09:05.

the body was was breaking down. The key word he used was regroup and at

:09:06.:09:09.

the end of the fourth set, you felt that Federer had the momentum and

:09:10.:09:12.

those early service games for Djokovic, in the fifth, were so

:09:13.:09:15.

important, because he had to stem the tide. He has to keep his nose in

:09:16.:09:19.

front. That is where he still had the belief, the courage and the

:09:20.:09:22.

conviction to keep being aggressive, because he knew if he was going to

:09:23.:09:25.

keep the ball in the court, Federer was going to go for more and more,

:09:26.:09:30.

so those early stages in the fifth were massive for Djokovic, and you

:09:31.:09:34.

know, then when we got his opportunity in the fifth he couldn't

:09:35.:09:38.

afford to let go again, there will be a massive sense of leaf, I am

:09:39.:09:43.

sure, that he finally got over the finish line, but huge satisfaction

:09:44.:09:47.

given his history in the last six Grand Slam final, losing five of

:09:48.:09:51.

them, losing his last three, it is an incredible achieve: That could

:09:52.:09:56.

have been very easy for Djokovic to fade away there. You know, to say

:09:57.:10:00.

oh, everything is against me now, and I was there, I was just right at

:10:01.:10:04.

the finish line and then, you know, now I just can't take any more,

:10:05.:10:08.

because Roger certainly did raise game at that time. He has nothing to

:10:09.:10:13.

lose and he just sunk everything in to winning that fourth set, and you

:10:14.:10:18.

know, like Tim said, the way he came out, and started, that, you know,

:10:19.:10:24.

there was some very tedious moment there's that could have, that really

:10:25.:10:31.

put that fifth set away from him, and it was pretty good. Age is just

:10:32.:10:36.

a number and Roger is 32. He proved best of five sets he was still

:10:37.:10:40.

giving his all at the end. He said I will be back next year and you know

:10:41.:10:44.

he will be. He will compete for the title again. Most definitely. I

:10:45.:10:50.

still feel this is his best surface on the hard surface and clay,

:10:51.:10:54.

against the best player, that is a bigger challenge, but because he is

:10:55.:10:58.

so offensive and he still serves so well, on grass, I really do think he

:10:59.:11:03.

can have an impact for many more years and you look at previous

:11:04.:11:07.

champions, and you know, aggressive made US open final when he was 35.

:11:08.:11:12.

And there is no reason why Roger, as long as he stays fit and healthy he

:11:13.:11:15.

has the passion, there is no reason he can't play for a few more year,

:11:16.:11:20.

and you know, I think with should encourage him, and enjoy him while

:11:21.:11:24.

he is here, because he is one of our greatest champions. Lay off the age!

:11:25.:11:31.

But it is such, athletes are very quick to say it is time for you to

:11:32.:11:36.

retire, but I mean, I walk round the ground here, there is a lot of

:11:37.:11:41.

managers and photographer, and a lot of sports reporter, that have been

:11:42.:11:46.

here way before I even started, so nobody says anything to them! So,

:11:47.:11:54.

you have to lay off a guy with age, he loves the game and shows the

:11:55.:11:55.

passion, so stay out there as long as you can. As you did. As long as

:11:56.:11:59.

you can play to a certain level, and believe me, Roger is not going to

:12:00.:12:02.

stay round if he doesn't think he can compete. He is not satisfied, he

:12:03.:12:07.

is at number three, he is not satisfied with that. He wants to be

:12:08.:12:11.

number one, if he can't, he will know when he go. You know he will

:12:12.:12:20.

deliver. Djokovic back to number one, how many more? The era is

:12:21.:12:25.

changing, we have seen Raonic and Dimitrov, Andy Murray will hopefully

:12:26.:12:30.

find his form. That is the beauty of the equation, when we were

:12:31.:12:32.

commentating on theches match, it is very difficult to get a feel for

:12:33.:12:35.

what is going to happen next. When you reflect on the men's game, we

:12:36.:12:41.

have had this dominant for four for so long, a couple of monthsing a, if

:12:42.:12:44.

you asked me that question about who is the next big star, there were a

:12:45.:12:50.

few question mark, can Dimitrov breakthrough, is it Raonic,

:12:51.:12:52.

Nishikori, and they have stepped up to the plate. You have a young guy

:12:53.:12:58.

like Kyrgios, who is only 19, comes on to the Centre Court for the first

:12:59.:13:01.

time, you know, those are the stars of the future, and I think, it is a

:13:02.:13:06.

great combination, we have got the established guys who have been round

:13:07.:13:09.

for a long time, but you have the guys that are trying to knock them

:13:10.:13:12.

out of the way and claim the biggest titles. Before I say thank you for

:13:13.:13:18.

joining, it has been nice to be back, you enjoyed it? Great to be

:13:19.:13:24.

back and great to be part of such an unbelievable final, which Wimbledon

:13:25.:13:28.

certainly deserves. It was a privilege to watch it. Thank you

:13:29.:13:32.

both. We still have one more final to go on Centre Court, buzz these

:13:33.:13:35.

are the people, and that I have been queueing all day and standing, they

:13:36.:13:39.

are waiting because they know the champion will come out on to the

:13:40.:13:42.

members lawn and the players lawn, with the trovy, he is going to take

:13:43.:13:47.

it to a few little venues round the All England Club, so they will get

:13:48.:13:51.

another photo toe of the champion and a great memory of the day that

:13:52.:13:56.

produced a classic final. The men's champion has been crowned but it is

:13:57.:14:03.

time for the mixed doubles final, and this is Max Mirnyi and Chan

:14:04.:14:09.

Hao-ching. They are up against Nenad Zimonjic and Sam Stosur. Let us join

:14:10.:14:18.

our commentators. It looked as if it was it was going

:14:19.:14:23.

to be an even match on paper and that is the way it is turning out.

:14:24.:14:30.

And a good one too. Chan Hao-ching, just 22, much the youngest. Won at

:14:31.:14:34.

Eastbourne with her sister just three weeks' ago.

:14:35.:14:41.

Up against multiple Grand Slam winners and her partner a Grand Slam

:14:42.:14:43.

winner as well. Yes with the trophy laden players

:14:44.:15:00.

round her, you might think that Chan, who is so inexperienced at

:15:01.:15:04.

this level, might look the odd one out. I haven't seen it so far. Has

:15:05.:15:22.

settled really well here. Stosur used to be the world's best

:15:23.:15:27.

doubles player. Doesn't may quite so much now.

:15:28.:15:33.

-- play. Transferred to singles round four, five years ago, and was

:15:34.:15:38.

pretty much an immediate success, winning in 2011.

:15:39.:15:43.

The US Open, beating Serena in that amazing final.

:15:44.:15:51.

Chan, who has broken three times in the semifinal, they had a good win

:15:52.:15:58.

against the number five seeds, the reigning champions, she served out

:15:59.:16:02.

there and she has served so far pretty well in this match.

:16:03.:16:12.

Helped out by her partner Max Mirnyi who is 37 years of aim today, so

:16:13.:16:19.

wonder if he will be getting a trophy as a present?

:16:20.:16:51.

It is her third time at Wimbledon this year. She hadn't won a match

:16:52.:17:04.

until she started the mix this year. -- mixed this year.

:17:05.:17:22.

So is Mirnyi going to change his position? Yes, he is.

:17:23.:17:36.

It wasn't the worst return. He did very well. Stretching out those long

:17:37.:17:48.

arms. Mirnyi very much the father figure

:17:49.:17:53.

in this relationship, and he has been through his career, he won the

:17:54.:17:58.

US Open with Serena Williams, back in 1998, trying to work out how old

:17:59.:18:04.

Serena would have been, that is 16 years ago, so 16. 16, 17. Then won

:18:05.:18:12.

with Azarenka when she was a teenager, so he does a very good job

:18:13.:18:18.

of schooling: The fact that Chan has settled so well, probably got a

:18:19.:18:21.

difficult environment to come on to with all the energy being sucked out

:18:22.:18:26.

of this Centre Court after such a dramatic men's final, so difficult

:18:27.:18:32.

to come on and, in this environment, but he has literally walked her

:18:33.:18:36.

through every point and has done very well protecting her service

:18:37.:18:39.

game, which I think is the vulnerable part of their team.

:18:40.:18:47.

No break so far, no break points. Been pretty comfortable for the

:18:48.:18:49.

server. Stosur was outstanding in the

:18:50.:19:26.

semifinal. Gaia Servadioed that well, consistently through the

:19:27.:19:28.

match. -- served that well.

:19:29.:19:45.

Stosur and Zimonjic have been more creative in their service game,

:19:46.:19:52.

pretty standard formation, but it hasn't been any less effective than

:19:53.:20:13.

their opponents today. Again Mirnyi at the net.

:20:14.:20:18.

He is going to take everything he can, and try and keep the heat off

:20:19.:20:23.

Chan, and she just has a simple role, make a decent return, and he

:20:24.:20:27.

has got that air, that he will take care of the rest.

:20:28.:20:38.

That is how good she was, virtually through the match yesterday.

:20:39.:20:51.

So eight games whistling by. Just 19 minutes. It looked a good idea that

:20:52.:20:57.

lob return. Until she hit that forehand. I am amazed there is

:20:58.:21:01.

anything left of this court for them to play on. They are doing well.

:21:02.:21:12.

Slightly mishit by Chan, but it did the job.

:21:13.:21:19.

Well, you always go at the woman in mixed as often as possible, and Chan

:21:20.:21:24.

need to put her hard hat on here, because they will be going for her.

:21:25.:21:45.

Stosur just a little frustrated she couldn't make more of that.

:21:46.:22:22.

A good partnership. A clinical put away from the Australian. They have

:22:23.:22:29.

struggle odd get it down at the service feet. You can see what

:22:30.:22:36.

happens you have to hit up. It is usually a fairly straightforward.

:22:37.:22:38.

Stosur is the strongest woman out here and that could be a major

:22:39.:22:41.

factor in this final. Not quite at the end. They certainly

:22:42.:23:01.

peppered it: This is where Mirnyi and Chan are going to have to get

:23:02.:23:06.

creative. That ball isn't going anywhere. Chan, not because she is a

:23:07.:23:11.

good player, but because she is the woman. That is what you do. And that

:23:12.:23:14.

is -- and they have got creative. Oh, Zimonjic peppering both of them.

:23:15.:23:41.

Now then, the first break point of the match. And unlikely as it may

:23:42.:23:44.

seem, it is on the Mirnyi serve. A wonderful set up. Terrific stuff.

:23:45.:24:33.

Zimonjic and Stosur did play in one other tournament, that was back in

:24:34.:24:39.

2010 at Wimbledon. They were beaten in the third round and haven't

:24:40.:24:43.

played together since. They have played with other partners, with

:24:44.:24:47.

varying success. It seems random mixed doubles how a partnership is

:24:48.:24:53.

picked. It is. Some of the players that play each other don't speak to

:24:54.:24:57.

each other, they might just do it on social media or might happen to be

:24:58.:25:01.

standing outside the referee's office, and just bump into, you

:25:02.:25:07.

know, someone and think let's play. It is utterly random. Back in his

:25:08.:25:11.

day, think, there was a long queue, wasn't there for his services on the

:25:12.:25:15.

mixed doubles court. So it is extraordinary that Mirnyi,

:25:16.:25:32.

the biggest serve of them all serve has had his service broken, and

:25:33.:25:35.

there is a chance with Zimonjic serving for the first set.

:25:36.:25:40.

-- the biggest server of them all. Super switch up there from Zimonjic.

:25:41.:26:04.

It might seem change that Mirnyi was the one that was broken but you need

:26:05.:26:09.

so much help from your partner at the net, just to catch the eye of

:26:10.:26:13.

the returner to take the ball off you from time to time.

:26:14.:26:21.

I think we are just seeing Stosur being the stronger woman out there,

:26:22.:26:26.

having an input. She can take more off Zimonjic.

:26:27.:26:56.

Again the finesse from Zimonjic, a big finish from Stosur. So here are

:26:57.:27:03.

three set points for the number 15 seeds.

:27:04.:27:29.

No problem, first set took 26 minutes, six games to four.

:27:30.:27:37.

SUE BARKER: With the four great doubles players on court I am sure

:27:38.:27:42.

this match will go on, great quality on centre, but there was amazing

:27:43.:27:46.

quality earlier on with the men's final. I promised to be something

:27:47.:27:51.

special and it was more than that. Roger Federer against Novak

:27:52.:27:54.

Djokovic. It went the distance, five thrilling sets and victory for Novak

:27:55.:27:59.

Djokovic, delight by his camp and coach Boris Becker, disappointing

:28:00.:28:08.

for Roger Federer, who failed to lift his eighth Wimbledon final.

:28:09.:28:19.

Lock at Djokovic's face. His second Wimbledon Championship. Now back we

:28:20.:28:25.

go to centre. In the end, the one break point did

:28:26.:28:32.

the job for Zimonjic and Stosur, taking their chance. Just checking

:28:33.:28:41.

the time but obviously here to support Stosur. Not that she needs

:28:42.:28:46.

much support at the moment. Yes, it could be a late champions

:28:47.:28:49.

ball in London. -- Champions' Ball in London. So it

:28:50.:28:55.

is the birthday boy, Max Mirnyi to serve.

:28:56.:29:21.

Super rally. Great pick up from Zimonjic.

:29:22.:29:35.

On the volley, but really clever shot from Mirnyi. Dangerous serving

:29:36.:29:55.

to the Stosur forehand. Staying back. He is six foot five,

:29:56.:30:14.

his younger brother, Peter, is six foot seven. Plays basketball, not

:30:15.:30:16.

surprisingly. far as serving is concerned, but the

:30:17.:30:46.

man will start. Every time, every time. There is not a lot in the men,

:30:47.:30:57.

Zimonjic and Mirnyi. Both with terrific records, two of the finest

:30:58.:31:02.

doubles players. Stoves are, as well, has been right up there. --

:31:03.:31:06.

Stosur. You wonder when Zimonjic will hang

:31:07.:31:23.

up his racket, he is coming up to 40 now.

:31:24.:31:31.

$7 million banked. Not for awhile if he keeps playing like this. Surely

:31:32.:31:39.

the role of the baddie in the Bond movie is waiting for him. He does

:31:40.:31:45.

look sinister, it all changes when he smiles, but he does have a

:31:46.:31:48.

sinister look about him. The same with Mirnyi. You might be onto

:31:49.:31:51.

something here. Stosur with a helping hand at the

:31:52.:32:29.

net. It is slowly starting to fill up now. Centre Court, a couple of

:32:30.:32:35.

thousand, maybe a few more. Look at that from Stosur.

:32:36.:33:00.

Getting more and more dominant at the net, Stosur. I wonder, singles

:33:01.:33:09.

has been so prominent over the last few years, originally a doubles

:33:10.:33:12.

player, if she might become full circle and if doubles might start to

:33:13.:33:17.

take more of her attention and time over the next two years. -- few

:33:18.:33:21.

years. Stosur without a coach at the

:33:22.:33:34.

moment. She plays the last quarter of last season without a coach. To

:33:35.:33:38.

be honest, played some of the best tennis we have seen from her in a

:33:39.:33:47.

few years. Played with equality and freedom. -- quality.

:33:48.:33:54.

Here they come again, Zimonjic and Stosur. Now the pressure really is

:33:55.:33:59.

on Chan. Well done. He was looking forward

:34:00.:34:24.

down the line and had to change direction very rapidly.

:34:25.:34:31.

It was not the cleanest of hits, but he will take it.

:34:32.:34:46.

Yes, that was too good. Must have been tempting to cross. Zimonjic was

:34:47.:34:56.

waiting for him to do so. This was a good fake from Mirnyi, held his

:34:57.:35:01.

ground. Third break point. They reacted well to the net call.

:35:02.:36:03.

As ever, as she did yesterday, Chan under pressure, comes up with the

:36:04.:36:10.

goods. Chan and Mirnyi need to work so hard, the Monica and Stosur

:36:11.:36:15.

making three quarters of their returns. -- Zimonjic and Stosur.

:36:16.:36:30.

Oh, foot fault. First of the match. It gives a fourth break point to the

:36:31.:36:36.

Australian and the Serbian. Mirnyi covering again. He is like a

:36:37.:37:05.

giant octopus at the net. I love the way that he times these

:37:06.:37:08.

interceptions so well, we very rarely see him go to early. So

:37:09.:37:11.

decisive when he gets involved. No offence and no harm done, a super

:37:12.:37:44.

rally from all four players involved in that. Just have a look at this

:37:45.:37:53.

from Zimonjic, you deliberately hit down at the feet. You do not always

:37:54.:38:00.

see that, very sporting of him. Fifth break point.

:38:01.:38:09.

Really ripped back to return. The danger is if Stosur got onto the

:38:10.:38:23.

forehand that might happen. This is fascinating, what you

:38:24.:38:33.

mentioned about Stosur coming full circle. That could be the case. Her

:38:34.:38:37.

singles ranking is beginning to drop. Is it going to drop

:38:38.:38:42.

consistently? I am not sure, but there is a chance it might. Whisper

:38:43.:38:47.

it quietly, 30 years of age. She was a fantastic doubles player, her and

:38:48.:38:57.

Lisa Raymond cleared up. There was a while when they were virtually

:38:58.:39:01.

unbeatable. It is very rare for a top doubles player, she was ranked

:39:02.:39:07.

30 or 40 in singles. She had quite a serious illness and it forced her to

:39:08.:39:12.

re-evaluate her career. She had that awful lines disease. Came back and

:39:13.:39:19.

focused on the singles, it is rare for somebody to be a top doubles

:39:20.:39:27.

Pope player to become a top single player. She won the US Open. It

:39:28.:39:33.

could so easily have been two, the Roland Garros final. She played so

:39:34.:39:39.

well. And then did not really show up.

:39:40.:39:50.

UMPIRE: Ladies and gentlemen, a reminder, please do not use

:39:51.:39:55.

flashlight photography. Stosur got lucky, a chronic mishit,

:39:56.:40:36.

she could not have placed it much better, right in the opposite

:40:37.:40:43.

corner. She does shank a few, but it is a good day when they drop in.

:40:44.:41:05.

Zimonjic went early. Chan alert to that. Mirnyi almost trying to

:41:06.:41:18.

protect Chan, there is no sense of that from Zimonjic. He has an equal

:41:19.:41:20.

partner out there in Stosur. From 40-0 to 4030. She will be a top

:41:21.:41:36.

doubles player in a few years, Chan. -- 40-30. Coached by her father, who

:41:37.:41:41.

is watching. A couple of mistakes from Zimonjic

:41:42.:41:57.

and this could get interesting. There is her father. How proud he

:41:58.:42:07.

must be. His daughter playing in the final here at Wimbledon.

:42:08.:42:15.

No, Zimonjic did not quite do enough. Stosur should have made

:42:16.:42:24.

that. All of a sudden it is break point. Just looking down the court

:42:25.:42:32.

at Stosur. Heron her partner in long discussions, signed of a serious

:42:33.:42:36.

planning meeting for the first time. -- her and her partner.

:42:37.:42:43.

It has not been his best game, Zimonjic, but wasn't he amazing

:42:44.:43:27.

there? To get that back. When you get towards your 40s your reactions

:43:28.:43:30.

are supposed to go a little, nobody has told Nenad that. Fabulous. I

:43:31.:43:39.

think he has made amends in this game.

:43:40.:43:58.

Chan blasting it back on the backhand of Stosur.

:43:59.:44:30.

Yes. It was a tricky one, testing him, it must've been an inch over

:44:31.:44:46.

the of the net. Stosur needing a first serve here, they have slightly

:44:47.:44:47.

dropped off in this game. She comes up with the goods there

:44:48.:45:01.

and they extend the lead, three games in a row. That was a really

:45:02.:45:13.

important game for Stosur and Zimonjic, they were in great

:45:14.:45:16.

momentum and were just in danger of losing it.

:45:17.:45:32.

And Prior Zimonjic and Stosur challenging the call. -- UMPIRE:

:45:33.:45:50.

Zimonjic and Stosur. And in. Two challenges remaining four Zimonjic

:45:51.:45:52.

:47:13.:47:24.

might be hurt. Mirnyi went back to Chan and

:47:25.:47:45.

congratulated her. they are looking in good shape. So

:47:46.:48:04.

good to see Max Mirnyi still out here, he is one of the great success

:48:05.:48:09.

stories from his country. He was coached by his father from the age

:48:10.:48:14.

of six, but there was not a lot of infrastructure with the break-up of

:48:15.:48:17.

the Soviet Union. He came to the United States and was dispatched

:48:18.:48:22.

when he was 14 or 16 to the Academy. He really had to make his own way,

:48:23.:48:26.

one of the first in his generation to do that. He has put together an

:48:27.:48:31.

incredible career and very much a national hero back home. He was

:48:32.:48:36.

president of the tennis Federation at one point. I think he found it

:48:37.:48:44.

quite own risk, quite a big responsibility, but he has put his

:48:45.:48:47.

back into encouraging the young juniors and helping tennis in that

:48:48.:48:53.

country. He is a pretty big deal back home. It is great to still see

:48:54.:48:55.

him out here. And he has banked some $11 million,

:48:56.:49:09.

mostly in doubles. So richly rewarded.

:49:10.:49:59.

Oh no. She waited to see if there would be a commitment the other side

:50:00.:50:11.

of the net, waited too long. Always moving, just got it right.

:50:12.:50:35.

There was a gap down there, but they are beginning to run out of time

:50:36.:50:42.

now. To make their repast. UMPIRE: New balls, please. They are

:50:43.:51:10.

two games away. Zimonjic has won titles here, the Men's Doubles with

:51:11.:51:20.

Daniel Nestor in 2008 and 2009. And Stosur won the mixed here with Bob

:51:21.:51:23.

Bryan. It suddenly got pretty dark here but

:51:24.:51:34.

Stosur is seeing it well. Stosur firing it back. These are

:51:35.:52:26.

critical times now, for Chan and Mirnyi. Planning meetings has gone

:52:27.:52:34.

to crisis meeting. APPLAUSE

:52:35.:52:49.

These two are doing a great job of keeping the ball away from Mirnyi.

:52:50.:52:57.

It would always be the key out here. One break in each set so far.

:52:58.:53:10.

Yes, brilliant play from Samantha Stosur. A lovely shot. Mirnyi caught

:53:11.:53:16.

the line it went, 5-2. She's playing mighty well. Both of

:53:17.:53:31.

them, I have two say, have returned. It has been outstanding,

:53:32.:53:37.

the amount of returns and high-quality returns they have put

:53:38.:53:40.

in court. They have set each other up, Zimonjic has put it away after

:53:41.:53:49.

Stosur set it up. They have gelled beautifully, that is experience.

:53:50.:53:53.

They have done so much winning on the doubles court, so easy for them

:53:54.:53:58.

to combine, almost as a scratch partnership.

:53:59.:54:09.

A mixture up top, back down below, consistent, extraordinary tennis

:54:10.:54:20.

from Zimonjic and Stosur. It is Stosur. The most important and

:54:21.:54:30.

effective player serving for the championship.

:54:31.:55:21.

This performance from these two has been about doing the simple things,

:55:22.:55:26.

they have only lost four points behind their first serve in the

:55:27.:55:31.

entire match. That will take you a long way.

:55:32.:55:58.

Didn't really deserve it. Off the frame of the racket.

:55:59.:56:31.

It has been outstandingly effective, and here are two championship

:56:32.:56:42.

points. For once, you missed one. Just out

:56:43.:57:02.

of his reach. -- he missed one. APPLAUSE

:57:03.:57:40.

UMPIRE: Game, set and match. Zimonjic-Stosur four. To be honest,

:57:41.:57:48.

Mirnyi and Chan were never really in it when a break came at the end of

:57:49.:57:51.

the first set. It took just 56 minutes. Zimonjic and Stosur, the

:57:52.:57:58.

number 15 seeds are the Mixed Doubles champions here at Wimbledon.

:57:59.:58:11.

SUE BARKER: The champions are Zimonjic and Stosur. They are the

:58:12.:58:22.

champions, and they will be going up to get their trophy, we will see

:58:23.:58:27.

that in a little bit. Joining me in the studio and thoroughly enjoying

:58:28.:58:30.

that match point is the Wimbledon champion, Novak Djokovic. You loved

:58:31.:58:35.

watching that. Yes, I am proud of him, very happy for him, use my very

:58:36.:58:39.

good friend for many years. He comes from the same country. -- he is my

:58:40.:58:46.

very good friend. It is a great privilege to win two trophies for

:58:47.:58:49.

Serbia in a matter of hours. As it sunk in? Getting there. -- has it. I

:58:50.:58:59.

just got off the court a fewer hours ago. Tried to celebrate with the

:59:00.:59:04.

team, the people close to me, close to my heart, who have been a great

:59:05.:59:13.

support on this road. As I was saying before, I will say it again,

:59:14.:59:16.

this is the tournament I always dream double winning. It never gets

:59:17.:59:21.

boring, winning Wimbledon, that is the sure. Winning in 2011 is the

:59:22.:59:28.

highlight of my career. This win over Roger in five sets is probably

:59:29.:59:32.

the best Grand Slam final I have ever played in my life. I overcame a

:59:33.:59:39.

lot of challenges in my life, and in my tennis career in the last two

:59:40.:59:42.

years. That is why I had tears of joy in the end, that is why I was

:59:43.:59:51.

very emotional. To rewind the memories from those two years and

:59:52.:59:55.

what we have been through as a team will stop what was the worst over

:59:56.:00:00.

the last two years? There are some private things I went through that I

:00:01.:00:03.

would not talk about now, but it was not easy. Everyone has issues, so

:00:04.:00:08.

you have two understand how to deal with them, how to grow as a person,

:00:09.:00:15.

how to strengthen your character. And managed to win Grand Slams. You

:00:16.:00:20.

cannot separate yourself as a professional tennis player and as a

:00:21.:00:24.

person, it is all the same. You are the same person that walks on the

:00:25.:00:28.

court. If your mind is not clear, you will not be able to compete at

:00:29.:00:33.

such a high level. Roger, 17 time grand slam champion, won so many

:00:34.:00:38.

times at Wimbledon. He is never going to drop the level. That is why

:00:39.:00:43.

he has been a great champion and admired by so many people for so

:00:44.:00:48.

many years. The only way to win against him was to try to find that

:00:49.:00:53.

inner strength, and, and not get carried away by emotion, even though

:00:54.:00:58.

I had plenty of opportunities to kind of fade away, and lose the

:00:59.:01:03.

concentration, but I haven't, and it has been an incredible match to be

:01:04.:01:08.

part of, and I am very proud of what I have achieved and just very glad

:01:09.:01:13.

to win I It was a privilege to us to watch it. In that fifth shot, so

:01:14.:01:18.

many dominants shots. Roger was playing so well. We have picked out

:01:19.:01:23.

a few, because the tennis, the standard got better as the drama

:01:24.:01:28.

unfolded. That is exactly. We pushed each other to the limit, and we had

:01:29.:01:32.

a lot of great points from the baseline, and I knew he was going to

:01:33.:01:37.

take his chances when he was down, a break when I was serving for the

:01:38.:01:42.

match, I mean, I, the only way that, that he could come back, is was

:01:43.:01:46.

being aggressive, that is what he has done, he came to the net, he

:01:47.:01:52.

served precisely, he used the court very well. That is why he has been

:01:53.:01:58.

there for so many years and winning the titles so many times. I

:01:59.:02:02.

understand what it takes, you know, to be a Wimbledon champion, to be a

:02:03.:02:05.

Grand Slam champion, that is why I respect him and his achievements,

:02:06.:02:09.

that is why I am extra proud of what I have done today. When you look at

:02:10.:02:13.

his serving stats it was incredible you found the way to break him and

:02:14.:02:16.

break him down, what was going through your mind on that last match

:02:17.:02:21.

point? Well, to be honest in the last match point I wasn't really

:02:22.:02:25.

thinking of the importance of the point, because I have had so many

:02:26.:02:29.

opportunities to win the match beforehand, match point in the

:02:30.:02:32.

fourth set, serving for the match, being a break up a few times, some

:02:33.:02:38.

very close, close rallies, and he came up with some great shots, so I

:02:39.:02:42.

just told myself I will focus at one point at a time, being the present

:02:43.:02:48.

moment. Is that easy to do? Not easy at all, not easy at all. In those

:02:49.:02:54.

moments, when of course the result is, can go either way, really and

:02:55.:02:58.

when you are playing fifth set against one of your rivals, and

:02:59.:03:03.

against a multiple champion, you know that the only way to try to win

:03:04.:03:07.

it, win against him is to stamen tally strong, because that is what

:03:08.:03:13.

he does the best. Big celebrations here, a wonderful embrace with you

:03:14.:03:18.

and Roger, you knew you had taken part in such an incredible match.

:03:19.:03:22.

Then you celebrate and then you eat the grass. Again! Again. It just

:03:23.:03:29.

came to me. I just wanted to remind myself of how it tastes. Victory

:03:30.:03:33.

tastes very sweet It has been three year since I won it the first time

:03:34.:03:40.

in 2011, so it, it is so special, really, to be on the Centre Court to

:03:41.:03:44.

play the finals of the biggest event in the world, the most watched

:03:45.:03:48.

tennis match in the world, is the Wimbledon final, and boy, we had, we

:03:49.:03:54.

had the great fantastic quality tennis in the finals and hopefully

:03:55.:03:57.

all the people enjoyed. This is the embrace with my team, because it's a

:03:58.:04:02.

team victory in tend, really. I know I am by myself on the court, but I

:04:03.:04:07.

appreciate and I try to show my appreciation for everything they are

:04:08.:04:11.

doing for me, and because all of them, they have their all, they are

:04:12.:04:17.

showing their support, day in, day out, and without them, this wouldn't

:04:18.:04:23.

be possible. Boris Becker joined in and I think he was enjoying it adds

:04:24.:04:27.

much as some of his Wimbledon triumphs. It meant a lot to him I am

:04:28.:04:34.

sorry Marion wasn't able to see this match live, but we are in touch

:04:35.:04:38.

every single day, and trying to, we talked about this match yesterday,

:04:39.:04:43.

and today, you know, trying to prepare as best we can. Marion has

:04:44.:04:47.

been working closely with Boris r and I am just very glad, relieved to

:04:48.:04:52.

win a Grand Slam with Boris as well, because there is many people who

:04:53.:04:55.

doubted that, but I am sure this, this is a great combination. We miss

:04:56.:05:01.

him from the BBC commentary team but he has done a great job. This is a

:05:02.:05:07.

lovely moment. It is incredible. So many people that also were there and

:05:08.:05:14.

took pictures on the balcony, they were outside and didn't have a

:05:15.:05:17.

ticket to come to watch the match on the Centre Court. I know those

:05:18.:05:22.

people, especially are, the tennis, the true tennis fan, and the ones

:05:23.:05:26.

who have a passion for this sport, and appreciate the athletes, and

:05:27.:05:31.

that is why it was, of course, I was very glad to be able to share this

:05:32.:05:34.

moment with them. And it was lovely. We have been watching your way on

:05:35.:05:38.

your up here, signing, I don't know how many tennis balls you have

:05:39.:05:42.

signed. This is for the fan, I think you must have got through well over

:05:43.:05:46.

one hundred. It was close to 50. I don't know to be honest. I wasn't

:05:47.:05:50.

counting. This is lovely. So many kids as well. Inspiration to give

:05:51.:05:56.

kids. As I was saying, there were many who couldn't get a ticket to

:05:57.:06:00.

watch on the Centre Court. Those people paid a ticket to come to

:06:01.:06:05.

watch you play, to just, you know, support and admire admire what you

:06:06.:06:10.

do, so of course, from, for me it is a pleasure to perform in front of

:06:11.:06:13.

them and to give them back as much of the love and support as I can.

:06:14.:06:17.

And that little boy on his dad's shoulders. He loved that. He had a

:06:18.:06:22.

very good catch. He will be a champion of the future. You have

:06:23.:06:26.

talked about winning this, your seventh Grand Slam and getting your

:06:27.:06:28.

hands, you talked about the difficulty. Not talking about off

:06:29.:06:32.

court but on court. The close finals you have had, and missed out on,

:06:33.:06:36.

that this is probably makes it sweeter. Exactly. That is the reason

:06:37.:06:42.

why this victory meant so much to me. First of all because it was

:06:43.:06:47.

against the great rival; against a player in terrific form, in his

:06:48.:06:51.

court, and court that he, you know, he was dominating for so many years,

:06:52.:06:57.

and also considering the fact that I have lost last three out of four

:06:58.:07:01.

Grand Slam finals, and you know, I would lie if I say, you know it is

:07:02.:07:07.

not in my mind, I started playing a bit with my confidence, and I had

:07:08.:07:12.

some doubts but I managed to overcome all these issues, of course

:07:13.:07:15.

all the people helped me and tried to talk to me, but I was the one who

:07:16.:07:24.

who found the way. Today was a huge, huge test, and the mental challenge,

:07:25.:07:29.

and we were pushing each other to the limit, and I could not drop

:07:30.:07:34.

concentration for a single bit throughout the whole match in order

:07:35.:07:37.

to win it, so that is why, I think, this win is extra special. It was an

:07:38.:07:41.

absolute joy to watch. Congratulations, I will let you go

:07:42.:07:45.

now. Seven Grand Slam, two here and many more to come I am sure. It was

:07:46.:07:51.

a privilege to watch it. So we have still got some presentations to go

:07:52.:07:54.

to before we go off the air, but first let us look back at the last

:07:55.:07:57.

two weeks here at Wimbledon 14. Welcome to Wimbledon 2014.

:07:58.:08:13.

There is something magical about unmistakable about the sound of

:08:14.:08:17.

summer. Wimbledon's headline act Andy

:08:18.:08:20.

Murray, the reigning champion, the fist week was as easy as well...

:08:21.:08:30.

# ABc # Andy was top dog week one. Most of

:08:31.:08:34.

the time at least. Andy Murray, please, on your way out can you give

:08:35.:08:42.

John a nudge in the corridor. Murray and Bartoli retired so no title

:08:43.:08:46.

defence for her but she was a tearful supporting act as Sabine

:08:47.:08:51.

Lisicki, who she beat in the final last year, took Centre Court stage

:08:52.:08:57.

instead. Lightning almost struck twice for

:08:58.:09:02.

Rafael Nadal against Rosol who beat the Spaniard two years ago, and had

:09:03.:09:07.

a point for a two sets to love lead this time, until Rafa said

:09:08.:09:12.

# Guess who's back # Back again... #

:09:13.:09:19.

# I'm free... The bigger they are the harder they fall

:09:20.:09:24.

# Freefalling # Second seed Li Na was quickly

:09:25.:09:31.

felled. Novak was down but not out. Serena went flying in doubles, but

:09:32.:09:38.

was safe for now. Sister Venus was sent tumbling from

:09:39.:09:43.

a collision of champions by Petra Kvitova. Then came the biggest

:09:44.:09:48.

shock, the biggest fall. There was no-one to catch her this time.

:09:49.:09:55.

Serena's troubles doubled when illness struck. It's embarrassing.

:09:56.:10:00.

This is ridiculous. An astonishing and worrying end to her

:10:01.:10:03.

championships. We have never seen the likes before.

:10:04.:10:09.

# I am beautiful no matter they say #

:10:10.:10:12.

Fabio Fognini opened his set with a few familiar strains of his troubled

:10:13.:10:17.

soul. Deep down, he just wants to be loved. Just some flat out Italian

:10:18.:10:22.

love. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga unusually played

:10:23.:10:25.

every day Monday to Friday in the first week. It all became a bit 9 to

:10:26.:10:31.

5 for the Frenchman. # Work to nine-to-five... #

:10:32.:10:40.

His third round victim was Jimmy. Maybe next year. It was more five to

:10:41.:10:45.

nine for Thomas Berdych # Stop in the name of love. #

:10:46.:10:52.

He was begging the umpire to stop the show against Cilic but 9.38 he

:10:53.:10:56.

was out after the latest none roof finish at Wimbledon.

:10:57.:11:02.

Talk about intense! Yet bigger names would be shocked and ousted. Nick

:11:03.:11:08.

Kyrgios got his Teenage Kicks by rocking out Centre Court and

:11:09.:11:14.

knocking out Rafa, a huge sensation. Maria Sharapova crashed to Kerber

:11:15.:11:18.

leaving her other half to take over lead vocals.

:11:19.:11:22.

# I can do it. # Grigor Dimitrov a support act no

:11:23.:11:26.

more. Britain's historic hero shown to be only human.

:11:27.:11:36.

# I'm only human # And I'm only human

:11:37.:11:51.

# And I crash and I break down. # Time for the chart countdown. In at

:11:52.:11:57.

number five, shut up your face by Wawrinka a and Feliciano Lopez.

:11:58.:12:05.

Up to number four Milos Raonic with Boom, Boom can be Pow. All round my

:12:06.:12:10.

hat by newspaper head. Your latest trick by dire straits and thanks to

:12:11.:12:19.

the form of Czech mate this week's UK number one, over and over, by Hot

:12:20.:12:26.

Chip and it was Kvitova to give Petra a more recognised

:12:27.:12:31.

pronunciation who proved a Czech too powerful in a one track women's

:12:32.:12:36.

title match. So in tune was she the first major final for Bouchard was

:12:37.:12:42.

brutal. But in Jeannie a new star has been released, while Petra's

:12:43.:12:44.

Wimbledon wishes have been granted for a second time. When Roger

:12:45.:12:48.

Federer performs it is classical delight. The Maestro strings sing

:12:49.:12:55.

when he is 234 rhythmic flow. A record eight Men's Singles title is

:12:56.:13:03.

something few thought he could do. Novak Djokovic ensured after four

:13:04.:13:09.

hours of combat that the Swiss symphony would remain unfinished.

:13:10.:13:15.

Encore as he sealed a seventh slam. Banishing memories of recent finals

:13:16.:13:20.

lost. The sound of summer for this Wimbledon king come no more

:13:21.:13:28.

emotional, no more joyous than this. Wonderful scenes from the

:13:29.:13:31.

Championships over the past two week, ending with Novak Djokovic on

:13:32.:13:35.

that balcony. Wasn't it lovely to hear from him a short time ago? Just

:13:36.:13:40.

before leave, let us round up the other results from today. There is

:13:41.:13:44.

many to get through. In the girls' singles final there were many

:13:45.:13:50.

upsets, and it was between the unseeded Jelena Ostapenko up against

:13:51.:13:53.

Anna Schmiedlova, the number eight seed and it went to the unseeded

:13:54.:13:58.

Ostapenko 6-0 in the third and final set.

:13:59.:14:03.

So receiving the trophy and hopefully this is a name that we

:14:04.:14:08.

will hear many times in Wimbledon clam ships to come.

:14:09.:14:18.

The girls doubles. This was one by Tami Grende and Ye of China. This

:14:19.:14:31.

was played outside on court 18. So that was them receiving their

:14:32.:14:34.

trophy on court. Big smiles all round. Now the Boys' Singles. This

:14:35.:14:42.

is the first all American final of the Boys' Singles and it was won by

:14:43.:14:52.

Rubin, defeating Kozlov, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.

:14:53.:15:05.

So Rubin celebrates the Boys' Singles title.

:15:06.:15:13.

In the Boys' Doubles, Luz of Brazil and Zormann of Brazil. They put out

:15:14.:15:18.

the top seeds from the US and a disappointing day for Kozlov, losing

:15:19.:15:23.

the singles and the doubles, but he lost with his Russian partner Rublev

:15:24.:15:29.

and it was 8-6 in the third and final set, so a tough loss out

:15:30.:15:34.

there, a long, long match. In the wheelchair Men's Doubles final, it

:15:35.:15:43.

was won by the top seeds. They won the Australian Open and they are the

:15:44.:15:46.

Wimbledon champion, they came through in one hour and 58 minutes.

:15:47.:16:00.

And great news for Britain's Jordan wily. She and her partner, they were

:16:01.:16:05.

the top seeds and tham through 7-5 in the third set against the Dutch

:16:06.:16:09.

team that had won the past two Wimbledon title, so they have won

:16:10.:16:12.

the Australian, the French and Wimbledon. They need the United

:16:13.:16:16.

States championship now to complete the Grand Slam.

:16:17.:16:22.

And just a short time ago on Centre Court, the final match of Wimbledon

:16:23.:16:28.

2014 was won by Nenad Zimonjic, Djokovic was delighted with that,

:16:29.:16:32.

his good friend. He won it with Sam Stosur of Australia, they were

:16:33.:16:38.

seeded 15, they beat the number 14 seeds, Max Mirnyi and Chan

:16:39.:16:42.

Hao-ching. They have won so many doubles titles

:16:43.:16:47.

round the world, they will certainly treasure this one and that was a

:16:48.:16:50.

lovely match to end the championships. In the Royal Box

:16:51.:16:58.

receiving their trophy. And if you missed the story earlier,

:16:59.:17:02.

Novak Djokovic is the champion, and this is him with the trophy, the top

:17:03.:17:08.

seed defeating Roger Federer, the number four seed, 6-4 in the fifth

:17:09.:17:13.

and final set. It was a very emotional Djokovic on

:17:14.:17:19.

Centre Court, winning his second Wimbledon title, his seventh Grand

:17:20.:17:24.

Slam, but he said here in the studio this is the won he will treasure the

:17:25.:17:27.

most after the difficulties he has had over the past couple of years.

:17:28.:17:33.

Well, we will be looking back that the final and all of the men's

:17:34.:17:36.

final, it was such a wonderful event. It is just after 10.35

:17:37.:17:41.

tonight. A few minutes later than 10.35 but join John and the team for

:17:42.:17:46.

Today at Wimbledon. It was an absolute thriller.

:17:47.:17:54.

So, that is it for Wimbledon 2014. We have had wonderful two weeks

:17:55.:17:58.

here, we have seen so many new names emerging in both the men's and the

:17:59.:18:04.

lady's Championship and and two worthy winner, Petra Kvitova today

:18:05.:18:08.

yesterday, and today Novak Djokovic pulled off a thrilling five set

:18:09.:18:11.

victory against Roger Federer who played his part in one of the

:18:12.:18:14.

matches we will remember in Wimbledon history. I hope you have

:18:15.:18:18.

enjoyed it. From all of us here. Goodbye.
