Welcome to World Championship Extra, Day nine of the sniko championship

at the Crucible in Sheffield. Tonight we feature Judd Trump. We

have been close up and personal with the man they call the juggernaut.

What is your life like, really? It is not of living out of suitcases. I

find it hard to pack because we are away so much. I normally leave my

clothes in my suitcase and get another suitcase out. I am a lazy

like that. With the jetlag, I find it hard to get acclimatised to

everything. Sometimes you end up losing because of that. What is your

strategy for jetlag? I tried to stay on English time and not go to bed

till 5am and not waking up till 5pm. Skip of my day and played the game.

-- half my day. In a way, it is better because you get to

concentrate on snooker stop back in England, he has more distractions.

How do you travel? At the front or down at the back? Normally at the

front, normally. Really? My coach has made it a need to be as relaxed

as possible. You more appreciated their fan in this country. Would you

rather the reverse were true? The main game here is football and it is

never going to live up to that. In China, I am happy that we have the

appreciation that football has over here. In a sense, I can see how hard

it is on foot all is. The attention is hard. They cannot do anything

without getting harassed. And just relax. People see footballers

getting paid whatever, X per week, and think their life is easy but it

is not as easy as that and it is the same in snooker in China. You have a

shopping addiction - the old shoes? It was an addiction. I tried to stop

it. I was getting calls from the shot when a new pair came in so that

was pretty bad. I got to about 11 or 12 and a cut it out. Completely

stopped at and tried to go for less expensive shoes. Is there one person

that says to you, put your money back in your purse, enough? Not

really. Living up he alone is quite hard because my parents cannot

really say anything occurs they are not here to see what I am doing. It

is kind of on myself. My coach knows and will tell me that I need to

concentrate so he is happy as long as I am working hard. Otherwise can

do what I want. He has opened 86-2 lead against

Welshman to Brian Davis to we pick up the action at the start of the

second session. It should not have been six to what

Ryan Day had three consecutive frames where he missed a ball. I

thought he hit the ball really well yesterday will stop up to those

points in the frame. Great opening. He just could not get frame ball and

because of that, he got 4-2 behind and to be fair, Judd Trump played

fabulously for the last two frames. Terrific longer part. -- pot.

Terrific due west is Ryan Day. -- cueist. He has a couple of options

here. Once at the back will go and it will open the rates up. He almost

missed that. -- reds fullstop looks like he is playing top spin. A

whale. He is not honoured. -- Wow. He is not on it.

He knows his opponent is in terrific form. He is looking for the cushion.

Yellow ball. Ryan Day, 14. He found that cushion.

It was a thin escape for Judd Trump. Down the left side. That was a bit

too thin. Yes, a funny situation. There might

be a red Mac to see through the yellow and blue. Playing the angles.

Well, he just played it but did not play for the fleet. He potted it

which is the main thing. Did not quite get enough side on it but it

was a very good pot in debt. Quite a tall and eight so he can reach over

there. Ryan Day is around six to. -- six. The final session of this match

tomorrow evening. It has finished a little awkward. If you can get past

the black, for the red Mac in the left corner, it might be OK but it

finished a little betwixt and between. He is fairly straight on

the red Mac on the right. I do not know whether the pink will pot. The

blue is not great either. Has he found a plant? Shaw has. That has

worked out brilliantly. -- sure has. Very handy. Perfect on the black.

Good chance. A nice little cannon on the other red. It would be perfect

here. He had to be a little careful. He wanted to make sure when

he played that he could put the red where you could stop the black from

being potted. He will soon get to the red on the right-hand side. He

has started very well. The first shot of the session, a good one. He

is looking in good form. Yes, he needed a very good start,

especially the way Judd Trump finished the match. He has won four

frames in a row. This is the best possible start for Ryan Day. Yes,

this break, if it continues, the one thing he doesn't want to do is, like

he did yesterday, miss Gamer ball. He played good stuff and then when

it came to the final ball, he made a mistake. Down a little bit further

than he wanted. Wanted it straight on the pink into the middle pocket.

Not as he would have liked. The red to the left is the only one that

will pot now. That is a great recovery and, I tell

you what, right in the centre of the pocket. They are not touching the

sides. Coming up to 7.5 minutes. This is

game ball for this one, or should be. Great start. As I said, I

thought he was hitting the ball beautifully, as good as I have seen

him heated for a long time. So he means business. -- hit it.

It is not going to be easy to make a century. That he is not concerned

about that. Even that went right in the middle. You cannot do any better

than this. Well, I tell you what, this Crucible crowd are read for a

treat this afternoon if Ryan Day is playing like this and we note Judd

Trump was playing well. It could be a terrific session here, it really

could. . 76. This could be a great shot if

he could pot the brown and move the red. And he is not far away. He is

not faraway! 80. Playing a little trick shot off the back cushion

here. Come on, click it in. Click it in. Rank you very much. -- flick it

in. Don't snooker yourself. The way he is going, he will cut it into the

corner. This really is superb stuff. A brilliant stuff. You cannot

hit it better than this. They have had 30 centuries so far at the

Crucible, come on, Ryan Day, he deserves it. Top class. 96. It has

just been going over ten minutes and we have a couple of safety shots and

eight magnificent century from the Welshman. He would be absolutely

delighted with this. 107. Wow! He tried a double but 6-2 behind, you

need to take the first frame but what a way he took it. He is just

three behind now. 6-3 to Judd Trump. That is a great log pot from Judd

Trump. What can he do now is make the chances are not brilliant for

the red next to the black. Side yesterday, Dennis, he was just

getting his form in the first round against Tom he was nowhere near his

best but yesterday, the last two frames, he looked very good indeed.

He mentioned he was going to change the tip of his cue and he has done

that. He is much more comfortable with the new tip. The other one was

a bit too hard. Straightaway, we know where Judd is going to go with

this. He could possibly free the black as well. He may have been

unlucky. They have blocked each other. That was a bit unfortunate.

Yes, very. He could not hit that much better. There is one red at the

top of the eight. I think it is there. The one thing about this, he

will be opening the balls out, he just needs to make sure he pots one.

To have gone in. To be sure, to be sure, the Dennis! LAUGHTER. With

that particular type of shot, sometimes you can screw of the red

into the pocket that he is OK. Amazing to think, after both of

those shots, the red was still stuck next to the black. It did not come

into play. One downside. But he recovered really well.

17. He could escape cannon onto the red next to the black but he does

not have to do that just yet. The shot is there for him and that is

what he has played. Well, he is a bit unlucky if he has blocked that

path through to the red with the black. You can see Judd wanted the

black into play as soon as possible. You can just get to the potting

angle. Watch the stuff he gets on this. Watch of white speed away at

the table. He did not quite get the site that he intended. Like you, I

was waiting for that to fit out into wider but it did not happen. Big

blue coming up. Mm. He did not hit that particularly well. His position

was not right. He half committed to the shot.

(APPLAUSE) . One. A good player to watch, Ryan

Day, when he is in good flow. Excellent cue ball control and

plenty of power. Do not see too many players with maximum speed of the

ball. He is certainly one of them. Just wondering whether he will take

the pink ear. He looked at it for a bit. But too big a shot, isn't it?

He is looking at it and the way he is cueing at. The yellow leaning

over it and the red, as you mentioned it. To get to the green.

There is no doubt about it, the green is the easy pot but it would

guarantee imposition. Big shot coming up. -- position. The blue and

the yellow a distraction, as you can see. Mm. He has left this right

along the cushion. You can tell he did not really want to play that.

You are always worried you are going to catch that. Well, let's see, the

black is tied up. The pink is in the clear. He does not really want to

risk a little cannon because he could put himself out of position.

Unless he played it with a little bit of pace. You cannot really avoid

cannoning one... Well, he could. The pink available. Just checking. My,

that is tight. (APPLAUSE)

. Just cannot quite get absolutely A1

position. Everything is a little bit awkward. He is doing well to keep

this break going. Things have not been going right, just like that one

as well. Much more difficult now because that black has taken the cue

ball away from the red. He never really quite happy to. -- had it.

Just working out, should I take the 7-point. What is going to do now?

You never know with Judd. In fact, he has not even played the pot. It

will be interesting to see if those at seven point come into play

later. Would he be tempted to put a safe. Push the green onto the side

pocket. A bit of an insurance policy. He may have been more

tempted with that than just playing off the black. All the balls in a

relatively open position. He wants to take this on. A little ambitious.

Even the way Ryan Day was cueing in the opening frame. He has played a

couple of shots forcing the issue. I know he is playing really well and

try to get back into this match but he has got away with that one but

the last couple of shots have been a little... You still need to play the

right shots even if you are 6-3 behind. He has a chance here. He may

be able to get onto the pink. Getting back on the table will

certainly help his cause. Yes, no problem. Just stunned the white and

he has three reds waiting. Interesting to see if he does not

pot of green, it might come back to haunt him. There is just one red.

That is the problem. He should be right with the others if he minds

his work. Just wondering if he can sleep around the back of the reds to

get back onto the pink. It looks a bit tight but he might just be able

to do that. If it can get down, pop the red, cannon that reds, I not

sure why he has stepped away from the table. Have a little think about

it. He could not avoid cannoning the

red. It is much straightforward power. I suppose if you have a look

at the pig, I do not think that pots. Unfortunately, he has now got

to take a very big lack stop eight tough shot when they are so close

together. -- eight big black shot. If you've missed it, you are

probably going to lose the frame. (APPLAUSE)

. That is a cracking pot. That was not straightforward by any means.

He might even try to drop on that now, off the black. Yes. It should

have been perfect but he has overheated. This becomes a very

tricky little shot. -- overhit. Just roll it in, do you think? I think

that is a tricky shot, especially with the extension on. These are

very tricky, the blind pocket. This is a much harder shot than it could

have been. Looking at the situation, not the bad idea to get on the

ground and clearly to wait to make the blue available. I like this

shot. A long way to travel with the cue ball but you would think he

would finish on the last thread. Yes, good choice. An excellent shot

he has just played. A lot more difficult than it looked. This one,

you just need to judge it correctly. Take your place. Make sure you do

not go anywhere near the middle pocket and catch the bumper. Just

need to have enough side on it to avoid that. Well, he has put that

much of side on it, he ended up missing in the pot. Which can

happen. I'm sure he could have played it straight. I would not play

at that site, not with the extension on the cue. I would have played it

straight up the table. I think he just knew, but that was far too much

side. You need to pop the ball, if you do not get position, at least

you are still on the table. It is not the first time, it has to be

said, in this match. What a chance he had to get back to just two

behind. Pleaded not guilty on.

-- Blue does not go in. That is one way to finish a frame.

Look at the position on the pink. Brian Hope very little chance. --

Ryan had. He is back in front.

This is a tricky one that he is faced with. What a shot. I did not

think you could get that to work on the cue ball to get that shot. Then

he has done that. It is amazing. Where he left him, it was going to

be tricky to get on a colour. He was feeling good, obviously. What

a chance. These frames are not going to last

very long. A ten minute train, a 14 minute frame. There was one that was

eight minutes. There have been three or four very quick ones. This should

not last long if he can keep going. These are spread beautifully at the

moment. He has left the red. The rate comes down, hits the blue. The

blue goes down over the corner. That made such a vast difference because

the black was knocked up the other end of the table.

The standard is fantastic. Just confirming the highest break.

This is setup like you would in a session at home. Keep his

concentration and keep the cue ball under control. This is a fabulous

chance. It is always nice if you can get

back into the match. They lost less energy spent. -- eight lot less.

Not quite far enough. He needed to use the other side of the blue. It

was pretty straight, it should not be a problem. He needs to keep the

cue ball as close as possible to the next red.

You sense, looking at Ryan, he has such determination on his face. He

looks very determined. It is amazing that they have any

played each other ones. That got a quick balance. Ryan came out for-2

victor. -- 4-2. That came off nearly twice the pace. It has been doing

that this week. Once again, straight into the centre

of the pocket. What I like about that shot, he was disappointed at

the bounce of the cushion. Sometimes it can affect a player. Even more

so, he missed a golden chance in the last frame. He is thinking straight.

Just about got on this pink, he nearly wasn't. 65 ahead, 59

remaining. That was game ball. Good effort this. We have not seen many

safety shots. We do not know what their tactical game is, they are

potting everything. We cannot wait to get them in... The referee get

the pink up. I think you might be putting the kettle on a bit earlier

today. Does not matter about missing that.

A fabulous as that from Ryan Day. He still trails by three frames. 7-4 to

Judd Trump. If he can see this, Judd will have a

go. He did not play the stunt. It did

not half of wobble in the jaws, that one.

See if they're a futile aims. -- see it there a few times.

He is so close to that with his waistcoat. He covered that red.

There are two reds. The Green has covered one and the blue the other.

That is pretty good. If he comes back down the table he will have to

cover the red that is near the left corner. He will have to get back

right. -- get this right. He might not be far enough down the table to

prevent Ryan from cutting it down the middle. Looks a natural in the

off. He will have to do something with the cue ball. Look at this. He

holds his hand up. What a kiss that was. It was not a good length of the

safety for Judd. If you are playing well you get a

good run of the balls. A dream to end on the black. As long as you are

playing, you will have plenty of bad luck as well.

He has got options. Just screw up and take the red out. OK. Not really

as he played it. A good chance. His target would have been, this mini

session, to win. There is every chance he can do that. I do not

think it kicked on the last shot. He let the white one a bit closer to

the cushion than he wanted. That type of shot, you have to be a bit

careful. Well done. Carefully negotiated. For reds, -- four reds,

four blacks. Every chance it will get on the red year. -- here. A

little smile for him to say he has finished dead straight on the

black. He might be able to punch their skin and leave the red for the

middle pocket. -- punch this in. Excellent shot. He could have gone

on the red on the left-hand side. A slightly tricky one to judge,

coming off that other red. It is that one, and the second one as

well. Always a little bit more difficult.

He is still going strong. Ryan's highest break ever was of 145, that

was in 2004 in the World Championship qualifying. He is still

on the black. The main concern is the frame. Their RUSI, making sure.

Try to win the frame. Never mind the maximum. I would like to be getting

onto the fall reds of the pink. He is our lucky they are. They have not

split. He could have hit the pink and slid off that but he played on

the red next to it. He was very unlucky. He was going along nicely.

It is not a plan. Might the end of break. -- might be.

That is a distinct possibility. He is looking at the plant. It is a

tricky plant. If it goes in it will be a frame winner. But he could

throw away that lead if he does not get it. You live and die by

decisions on a snooker table. I do not think there will be a

colour coming up. I think the reason he took the plant on, he was

disappointed with the reds. Good news and bad news, he knocked the

black. If the pink is out of the game he has a good lead. He did not

get anywhere near it. You would think he is a strong favourite now

that the blue has gone. 55 the difference. Stranger things have

happened. The black could be straight into play at this point. I

thought he would have played the pot and a cannon on to the red to the

left of the black. Maybe he played to cannon that the blue. I think

that is the only thing... He tried to pot the red and can then the

blue. -- can then the blue. There is no doubt that 55 point is a

good lead in a frame. There are people who can clear up on you. You

have to be very careful. It is nice to have the lead, but you would also

like to have a couple of balls safe. He certainly has a wine that say. He

has not played a good safety shot. He could get himself on to the blue

if he judges the Kanin correctly. -- connon.

This is the chance that Judd has been waiting for in this frame. We

mentioned before the red just past the centre pocket that will be

awkward. Even more awkward with a kick. He might be dead straight on

the blue. That was our lucky. It took all the pace out of the cue

ball. -- unlucky. It is not much good for position unless you pot it.

You cannot get any work into the cue ball and get back down the table. He

can pot and take the points and play safety or play the double. He tried

to get back. Because of that, he missed the blue. Unlucky are. --

there. Ryan will take this pot on, if it

goes on, he will go on to the blue. If he misses, every chance it will

be safe. He is asking him to come around the other side to see if he

touches the red or not. He is on the blue. Anything but

straight. Looking at his face, he is pretty straight. If anybody can get

anywhere near the reds, Ryan can. The perfect picture over his

shoulder. Watch this white. He got some stuff on that. He has a bit of

a chance. The cue came straight of his bridge hand, he hit it so well.

There are not that many players who could have played that. Excellent.

What an entertaining session this has been. 107 break, 80 break.

Does not matter about knocking that safe. It has been excellent today.

It really is good. The red is not bad. Judd Trump will concede. It is

now 7-5 to Judd Trump. Judd gets the first frame after the

midsession is under way. Ryan Day is going beautifully.

He has not missed many today. Not really left it brilliant for Judd.

There are a couple of pots on. Position will be tricky.

That is a fabulous shot from Judd day. Judge to the cannon to

perfection. -- Judd Trump. As you join us, he just ran out of

position slightly. That little cannon did not work. End of break, a

little prematurely. There is the cannon you mentioned, just gone

slightly awry. He has given Ryan a few problems.

This is difficult. There has been little tactical play because Ryan

Day has been superb. That was well judged.

Well negotiated. Ryan popped into the players lounge and said he

should have had all four then. That is a terrific shot from Judd.

Especially with the pink being available. He had to force that

in-out to make the angle. Didn't he play it well? The black is out of

commission. The pink spot occupied, another bad

thing from Judd's point of view. Might have had a little bit more on

that. Might go for the blue now. He is on the red. Back of the bunch.

This will open a few more up. One out. Two more reds in a play. It has

been very entertaining snooker this, in this second session. It

will play to a conclusion tomorrow evening.

They are both striking the ball superbly well. Quick cloth. These

fellas have got the speed of the table under control. A little bit

straight but he is OK. He has the red above the black.

It has been a cracking match so far. Good standard. Good break. A few

unexpected misses make it interesting. He has gone a little

bit too far with that one. 75 remaining. The one next to the black

is tight. It is all about just potting this ball.

(APPLAUSE) He missed a beat their because that

looked as though it it was going to stay out. Any more pace on that, and

it would not have dropped in. Ryan Day now knows that if he can knock a

Carleen... There is still 67 left on the table. He will put a colour safe

here. A bit premature to say it was a frame ball. He needs a colour,

which he did not get. Still playing a very good frame here, Judd Trump.

While we have this little safety battle going on, I would like the

chance to wish my daughter, Denise, a happy birthday. She has ever Bean

to the Crucible ones and it was a long time ago, 1985. She picked a

good one to come to. Why, what happened to? I can't remember...

LAUGHTER. Great shot from Judd, that. Really

good. He got the red on the right-hand side. It seems to be that

distance that if you play across the face of it, you are going to contact

it on the way back. He is in a spot of bother here. That was a really

good shot from Judd. You need to hit it a little bit thinner than you

normally would. If it doesn't, if it doesn't fancy the safety, he might

take this on, he is so far behind. He did take it on but he knew that

if he missed that, it was the end of frame. That's not like Ryan Day to

do that but it just shows you what it means to him. Showing a little

frustration. You do not see him do that too often but it shows you how

hard he is trying here. It also shows you he is getting frustrated

because he is playing so well. He just wants to get on the table and

get his opportunities. This frame is then to go to Judd. I have been

there. When you are playing well, and you can't get your hands on the

table, it gets frustrating. But he is at the World Championships

against one of the favourites. If he starts playing properly, and it

looks like he is, he will have a say in this year 's championship.

(APPLAUSE) . How did that stay in the pocket?

You might as well doubled this up into the corner, Judd. It is coming

off the cushion. Another trick shot. He has potted the pink at this

time. I told you there was another trick shot coming up. Just the start

Judd Trump wanted after the interval. He has got himself three

in front. Ryan Day, whatever you do, don't catch the blue. That little

bit of frustration he showed previously he might not have quite

got rid of it yet. Especially against Judd, the way he started to

cue. Not of the break. Little lapses of concentration where Ryan Day is

concerned. It is not much more than that because he has all the shots in

the book. He is a great competitor. Great scorer. He does have lapses of

concentration and at this level, you cannot afford to do that. It is

costing him frames. Nearly 80 minutes thinking time.

That is unusual for Judd. -- a minute. It was worth waiting for,

though. I think that pink is available. He does not have the

angle to go to the black off this thread. -- this red. That is another

quick bounce off that cushion. Ryan Day had won a little earlier. Yes,

same place on the cushion. He was hoping to live in angle to drop the

pink in a play for the loose red in the top red pocket but he cannot

play that now. He will settle for that.

He just has to be careful here and think about the cannon you have to

play. Not put your sells out of position. He did not give enough

thought and he may be out of position.

The reason a possible pot up into the corner. Maybe the middle pocket

but it shows you, a simple little shot like that... Is the going to

try to squeeze that in? If they were touching there would be a

possibility. He hit it on the opposite side. Let's overlook if you

-- let's have a look if you can squeeze this. I thought he was going

to play it then. -- scene. It is not to bad if he can put this red in.

Just could not get off the side of the pack. The two reds. In a bunch.

If he could come off the half ball and come back up the table. He has

already got the one behind it. Same result. The blue is the target

here? It is quite a big target, with the green. If he can swing the cue

ball. He has got that too thin. Got it all wrong. But he will take

that! There you are. I never thought of that one! That is unusual. To see

a player snookered on all the reds with the angle of the pocket. But

look at that for a little wobble. It seemed to settle back in.

What these? Looks like it is coming out and then it settles back in.

Backspin on it? The green is in the way of the escape onto the red to

the left of the black. I think it is, anyway. He has just almost hit

the green. This looks pretty good. It is not one to hit full ball. No,

he is going to leave the other red on. He needed to get to the other

side of that. This is a monster piece for Ryan Day. That's what

happens in this game. 22 balls flying around, things are going to

happen. That was a monster piece of luck. He was unlucky that, Judd. Two

more frames to be played after this one. Ryan Day would certainly like

to get this frame and at least one more.

Look at the action he gets on that. He wants the blue back. He hardly

hit that and look where he has got the cue ball. They are are not that

many people that can cue the ball as well as Ryan Day. Terrific cueing.

And he has brought the peak into play. How is your lark, Ryan Day?

Stuck on the red. A bit unlucky. He had a bit of good fortune when the

white wobbled and that was very unfortunate there. Yes. And he has

read that he could get on there. Especially with the pink, what a

chance. It looked as if he couldn't but now, it looks as if he can swing

it round the angles. It was not a snooker on the red as we thought.

The way he was bashing the table, for all the world you thought...

It is not all that bad. He can drop the scene and he can drop the black

and there was another red that he can drop. Just a couple of easy

rolls along the cushion. You still need a good nerve for these. Let the

weight of the cute take the red but you have to give that respect. There

you go. They are tricky little shots. They require a bit of nerve

and if you put a bit of side, that is what happens. Once you touch the

mutual, it won't go in. -- near jaw. This could be a very good frame in

this match. If it goes to 9-5, this could hurt Ryan Day. Especially

after having a chance. Difficult to control that type of

shot so close to the pocket. He played for the blue but he knew that

if he overheated, he had the ball covered. -- overheat. -- overhit.

Good shot. Really well played. He has opened everything out. Well

judged. It will not try that one again.

Unless he got a pretty bad contact. Maybe it was a bad contact, cleaning

the ball. The reds are blocking each other to the right corner.

Straightaway, he is running the other side of the table. It needs to

pick up a little bit of pace otherwise it would not be on one.

Has that gone far enough? Just about, I think. Yes, it has just

gone far enough and I think you can play the screw shot of the pink. No

way he will be rolling it through for the black. It should afford him

the opportunity, the angle. (APPLAUSE)

. Well played. An excellent shot. He is a totally different player to the

one who played Tom Ford the other day. If you would have paid to the

same standard, he would have been going home with the championship.

He's up to his game, all right. Changing that tip on his cue has

certainly paid off. It was just his demeanour as well. He did not look

completely with it the other day when he played. Not as focus, that's

for sure. It was like as if he had won the first round match needed a

bit of a kick to say, come on, you need to start playing. And he's

doing that now. (APPLAUSE)

. His first match against Tom Ford, it

was 82% pot success. He knew he had to improve on that. There is

Hawk-Eye are showing you it has not come far enough with the blue. Not

happy with that, Judd. He needs to play a good green. Side cushion,

back down. Another shot he has hit beautifully. He played that really

well. It just cannot little bit short. It should not be a problem.

Still on the pink. He has pushed that red safe, though. He is going

to need another red and he could not avoid cannoning that other red to

get to the pink. It just came a little bit short. But if he has a

slight angle, he might be able to get over to the one near his hand.

He could not and he tried to develop that so he's going to have to wait

for another chance. 37 the difference. Possible 33. The frame

is far from safe just yet. Good safety. He covered the loose red.

Just left the one read of the cushion and these are so difficult.

If you do not get at the, you will stick to read up. That is a good

reply. Well played. (APPLAUSE)

. He just needs the one to read, Judd,

for the snooker. I am not sure if he might be able to sneak the scene, if

you can see enough of it and play a safety shot at the same time. Just a

. Back not being on its spot is no help to Ryan Day. If the black was

on its spot... But because it is not, it makes it not great value,

really. If he plots the red, he needs a colour otherwise he will

need a snooker. That was ambitious. He tried to pot the red and move the

black at the same time. It is not a gimme a any stretch of the

imagination. He is only looking for the one pot, Judd. Slightly over

ambitious that, from Ryan Day. A good safety, wait for a debtor

opportunity but he didn't. He is cutting it in an it is a terrific

cut tax. I thought he was maybe going to try it the double or

nothing. He is just in control at the minute, Judd. Just managed to

grab control from Ryan Day. Of course, Dennis, if he wins this

frame, for the final session he will definitely be in front. It is just a

matter of how far. Two frames to play. It is only one snooker that's

needed. Judd would like to see this red disappear into the corner

pocket. Well, that is not the best because he has brought the black

into play. Well, maybe Ryan Day will pot the black, the red and look for

the snooker he needs. If you get up kind of the green, he will get one

behind the blue, as they say in snooker. I suggest that is what he

will probably do on this yellow and leave yourself behind the line so

you can push the green on the table. That is an easy snooker. It is

amazing, isn't it? Judd thought he could punch of the red. He was not

expecting to miss it. Brock of the black into play but it is amazing

what can play. -- brought the black. He has to make sure he is

over it little bit so they can play the shot on the green. He has over

done it. He can play the brown. Dennis, it's not difficult? He can

stop you could play a thin one and get kind of the black. That is

another option. I do not know he thick and played the green on to the

brown and stayed behind the blue. That is what he did do. But it is

not an easy one. Another difficult one to escape from. It was not a bad

idea. The cushion made it easier to escape from. I can see this being a

problem, though. He will be relieved to get the

screen, I can tell you. A chance for Ryan Day to get behind the brown. If

he could get the green behind the blue, that would make it even more

difficult. He is going to put the cue extension on which makes it more

difficult to judge. The extra weight of the cue is sometimes an

hindrance. It is a lovely distant that from the brown. If you can get

a good green here as well, it will make it doubly difficult. These are

very fast cloth, they are not that easy to judge those shots.

That not bad. The green is coming up towards the blue but Judd may just

be able to bend this. He has split it but as you can see, I would

suggest he is able to bend this. Coming off the top cushion. What is

that? ! Dear oh dear. He did not look like he could get past the

brown. Is it coming off the top cushion? Well, that was the

strangest one. It really is. A chance of another one behind the

brown if he hits it hard enough. He did not miss a trick. A big chance

there, Ryan Day. There is no easy safety shot from this position. He

may, in the end, have to take the pot on. I think you can play cushion

first. I do not fancy the pot very much. But if he plays cushion first

and tries to keep the full ball of the cushion and send it down and

leave the cue ball off the top pocket that might be the best shot.

As long as it does not push the green stop it looks to me like he's

going to try and this. Maybe he is not. A big shot, though. Taking this

on. -- try and pot this. One of those shots, yes, you could put the

green. He is a bit unlucky. He will be feeling uneasy. It is a Judd

Trump special, but under the circumstances he will be feeling the

pressure. And he has refused it, has he? Yes, I do not blame him for

that. He has a blue, together possible snooker but can he get the

green up over the spots? -- to get a.

He will be ready relieved, Judd Trump, now. -- pretty. It looks as

though Judd Trump is going to get over the line in this one. He misses

the pink, Ryan Day will stay in his chair.

Good plot for one. -- pot. We saw in one of the matches with Ricky Walden

that he could not get it on the green properly. That was a prime

example is there, of Judd Trump getting out of that snooker. He just

came to the table, one cushion, to caution, three cushion, then just

nestled into the table at. -- there. Will originally, Judd Trump

was looking at the red on the left there. Well, he may have left to

chance for Ryan Day here. There is a fair bit of pressure on Ryan Day. He

has got a high percentage of these. Well played. He deserved a bit of

good fortune and he has got it. In a couple of shots time he will be able

to get on the red that is next to the black. That was a lovely flick

off the reds their. -- there. The black is available into the red

corner, as is the red next to it, so, in a couple of shots time, Ryan

Day will be heading up towards that end of the table. It is one of those

situations that, even though there are some loose reds, you are going

to have to split the pack at some point. He just needs to screw back,

and try and live an angle into the reds. -- leave.

Yes, you never really know where the cue ball is going to finish, and he

just caught the red. He did not want that red. This is a difficult one he

is faced with here. He is looking at one into the middle pocket, by the

looks of things. And what a shot this would be if he manages that.

Oh, super shot. Absolutely perfect, a big shot to take this on. And he

deserves everything he gets after that shot.

Who works these things out? All those stats. It is all about

concentration here. Maintaining the focus on the cue ball. He has played

a couple of cracking shots in this break already. He has got them right

where he wants them now. Yes, he has had breaks of 107 in the opening

frame, also 87. But at the moment he is just sharing the frames with Judd

Trump. He had the option of going up the table, into the baulk area.

Even for friends behind, he just looks so full of confidence, Ryan

Day. -- four frames. He has a 62 point lead, 67 on the table. How

many times has he done that in this match? There is another one. So many

times in this match he has missed game ball. Judd Trump has a chance.

This could kill the match. It's Judd Trump cleans up here, Ryan Day is

going to be so sick, it's not even going to be true. He can probably

cue the red and pink, he is not really hampered. He has got a slight

angle on the black to just done over. -- stun over. This is all just

about holding yourself together. As you called it, this is an big, big

turning point. But you still have to knock them in.

He had to get onto a higher valued colour. He has to come down just

past the pink here. Just the colours on the spots. This is all about

nerves. He has looked very comfortable and he knows how

important this is. As you mention, he has done this on at least three

occasions. From all the snooker that Ryan Day has produced here, some

brilliant snooker, this one is going to slip away by the looks of it.

Judd Trump is showing good nerve here. Yes, a shake of the head here

shows him that he knows there is no way Judd Trump is going to miss

here. He walks back to his seat, Ryan Day cannot leave he lost that

one, when he did. -- but he did. -- believe.

Ryan Day needs to do something different, because four times in

this game already, he has missed it when it has been Gamble. -- game

ball. Well the simple scenario is, he could really do with this last

frame. 11-5 you wouldn't give him much of a chance, 10-6, you might

still give them a chance. -- him. Maybe once or twice, you could put

it down to something. He cannot keep missing them. He has played really

well in this match, just too many collapses.

That was still an excellent clearance from Judd Trump though, in

that last frame. He is just starting to come to the boil.

The balls Judd Trump pottered in 2011, I have never seen anything

like it. -- pottered . He has quite simply got to in this

frame, Ryan Day. -- win. He would like to be able to land that one. It

is tough this. There is no way through to the one

that is the left side of the table. This is far from easy. I am just

trying to see if he is trying to drop on the red. You can see what he

is thinking. Change of plan. The total mishit. He

did not want to hit those reds. A little short already, with the cue

ball. Hopefully he can drop this end, the red on the left of the

pink. -- drop this in. He has certainly got to make the most of

this one, the final frame of the session.

They are not ideally placed, those reds, a lot of them sitting next to

each other, as you can see from that picture. There is that top spin,

look at the White pickup speed. But he is going to finish close to that

cushion, is she? -- is he. Which way he is going to play this.

He cannot just drop it in, I do not think. That is good cueing. Has it

pulled up? Yes. He can get it to the side of the blue. While that white

absolutely flew off that back cushion. Look where it ended up.

Well, what a bounce that was. This is awkward. He plays that shot as

well as anybody in the game. That was fabulous cueing, it really was

you see the way that top spin really marked the cue ball there around the

green. There are not many players who get through the ball away Ryan

Day does. -- the way. It just keeps on spinning, the white.

It has been a very enjoyable, and excellent session of snooker. It

will make it interesting is Ryan Day can pinch this frame. Then it is

still game on at the final session tomorrow. Judd Trump's highest break

is still 78, but he has been so consistent. A little bit close to

this red, but he should be all right if he can hold for the black. Subtle

touch their. -- there. He pots this red now, and you'll

just flick the other one out. He has had a century, 107, and at

80, and he is only going to win six frames.

Although Judd Trump has not made any sizeable breaks today, he has been

excellent. It will be nice for Ryan Day to

finish this session with a century. Well played Ryan Day in the final
