Businesses are preparing for bad weather. Read warnings are in place

of the Guernsey tomorrow. The West Coast is at most risk at high time

`` to high tide. Strong winds and an 11.5 metre tide combined to cause

some flooding and Beaumont. Debris washed over the walls from the sea

was quickly cleared away. Elsewhere, Les Varines is closed in Jersey due

to a fallen tree and Havre des Pas seafront is also closed. Christina

this month. And now there are more flood warnings for the Channel

Islands. Guernsey's emergency services and coastguard today met to

plan for bad weather this weekend. They're asking people to avoid the

west coast, especially around high tide tonight. In Jersey, it's the

south coast that risks flooding Anna Trigg's bridal shop at Beaumont

has already been flooded this year. It cost her thousands to repair the

carpet and dresses. She believes more could be done to prevent the

water damage. The drains as shallow, so when the sea water

comes, it then rises, so there is nowhere for the seat ago. We would

like the road to be closed just for half an hour at high tide. It will

stop the trucks, buses, cars that go through too fast, and they create

Jersey doctor Carl Clinton has been cleared of sexually`motivated

matters, and would meet again to decide if any of them amounted to

misconduct. People in Alderney have paid their

last respects to politician Paul Arditti. This was St Anne's Church

earlier for the funeral of the former Alderney States Member, Who

died suddenly at the age of 62. Mr Arditti had been the driving force

behind calls for Guernsey to invest more in the island's airport.

Channel Island shoppers have been charged a third more for basic

groceries than people in the United Kingdom. The Channel Islands

Competition and Regulatory Authority compared prices in shops across the

region with stores in the UK. Jen Smith reports.

When you shop for everyday items like fruit, beans and eggs in the

Channel Islands, is inserted at the lowest prices in`store, it can still

cost you up to ?14 more in the UK according to the competition

authority. It allows people to buy a Bose `` basket of groceries for the

cheapest price both here in the Channel Islands and the UK. It found

at the very budget end, it could be up to 60% cheaper than stop the

regulator says this is simply because we do not have a variety of
