An investigation has begun after five women from Oxfordshire

developed breast cancer after being given the all clear

A further 30 women have been contacted this week and askdd

to take further tests after their medical records were reviewdd.

60 women have also been contacted in Buckinghamshire.

NHS Trusts in Oxford and Buckinghamshire have re`ssured

patients that their breast screening tests are reliable.

All women aged between 50 and 70 are invited for breast

If any abnormalities are iddntified, they're called back for mord tests.

But in June, a serious incident investig`tion was

launched in Oxfordshire aftdr five women who'd been given the `ll clear

by the same doctor then went onto develop breast cancer.

The concern that we have is that some tests were not carried out that

might have been able to be `t that time, and if they

had been carried out, might have led to an earlier diagnosis.

A review looked back at follow`up assessments between 2011 and 20 4.

Almost a month after a fire started at a recycling plant in Swindon

a deal's been struck which lay lead to tonnes of smouldering rubbish
