Good evening. The Bristol businessman accused of plotting to

kill his wife on their honeymoon has lost his latest legal bid to stay in

Britain. The High Court has ruled that Shrien Dewani can be sent to

South Africa in a few weeks to face trial over the death of his wife

Anni three years ago. He's always denied any involvement and his

lawyers say he's not well enough. Shrien Dewani has lost his High

Court battle to block extradition. A High Court judge deciding that he

can be extradited so long as there are guarantees from the South

African government. Shrien Dewani is currently remanded to a mental

health hospital with trauma and depression. The conditions are that

if he is found to be unfit to be tried he will be free to return to

the UK unless there is a realistic prospect of a trial within a year.

The South African authorities said they are delighted with the verdict.

The family were at the High Court. It is a step in the right direction.

fight in so many different courts but we are so happy that the ruling

The South African authorities say they can provide written guarantees

to the UK within a matter of weeks. People across the west are again

bracing themselves for further flooding, with more heavy rain and a

high tide hitting the region. There are currently three severe flood

warnings in place along the River Severn. In Somerset, the Agency is

monitoring the River Parrett in case it bursts its banks.
