It's been another day of medals for West Country athletes

at the Commonwealth Games and a piece of history was lade

Our sports editor Ali Durden joins me now

Another very good day? Yes, four more West Country golds in the

swimming, and shooting. Siobhan O'Connor from Britain who got her

sixth medal in swimming tonhght equalling the record for most one in

a single Commonwealth Games. It was a chance to make history. Shobhan

looked relaxed as she enterdd the arena. She was the penultim`te leg

of the relay and it was almost neck almost neck and neck with Atstralia

at that point. Siobhan has `lready won a gold, three silver and a

bronze over the last six daxs and as England touched home in second

place, her sixth medal equalled the dames record. We knew we cotld give

the Australians a run for their money and put up a really good

fight. Her team`mate followdd her into the pool in the men's relay and

England upset the odds to claim gold. It was great to come `way with

a games record and a gold. Ht was more than I could ask for. H am so

proud. After winning gold l`st night, Jazz Carlin added silver in

the 400 metres freestyle. On the track it was a disappointing night

for Laurence Clark in the 100 metres hurdles final as he finished last

and he was his own harshest critic telling his Twitter followers he had

run like a wally. There was gold in the shooting for David Lucklan in

his second success of the g`mes He was carried to the medal ceremony in

a chair by his opponents, truly king of the range. Absolutely buzzing.

That was the best feeling. Everything was right today. Just so

pleasing. And bronze for Christine Callaghan from University of Bath in

the 25 metre rapid`fire pistol event. Ruby or old and Claudia

Fragepane also did well. We were all cheering each other on and did our
