An international search is on for a Somali teenager from Bristol `

who's left home and is known to be heading to Syria.

Avon and Somerset police sax there are indications that

the 15 year old girl has bedn radicalised ` and there are fears

she might be intending to join Islamic State terrorists.

Our reporter Scott Ellis has been following the story.

The 15`year`old girl left Bristol last Wednesday, bound for Sxria we

understand heading out of the country via Heathrow, where she may

have met up with a 17`year`old girl from London. The teenager's parents

reported her missing, Avon `nd Somerset Police confirmed they have

tracked the teenager as far as Istanbul, and she is set on

travelling further east to Syria. Their intentions may be

humanitarian, helping in aid convoy or refugees, but with policd

involvement in Bristol, London and internationally, there is a fear

that she may go one and join a terrorist organisation like IAS ``

like Islamic State. After rdading posts on her Facebook, police

suggest she could have been radicalised. Everybody is concerned

about her safety, this is a teenage girl heading into what is

essentially a war zone, but at the same time, the Somali parents have

used the words brainwashing, wondering whether she was

brainwashed or radicalised by somebody in the country, perhaps

even Bristol. Or was it just the teenager using the Internet,

exploring ideas about terrorism The police say they are doing everything

they can to support the famhly, and that they can get hold of the

teenager to prevent entering Syria. Well joining us now is Profdssor

David Galbreath from the Unhversity of Bath, who's an expert in

International Security. How common is this for a girl so

young? What will have been said to make her

want to go? The biggest isste is the plight of the Sunni Muslim people in

Syria, they have suffered dtring the Assad regime, the politics of

annihilation, as it will be presented to her, is a great

motivation to try and help. Is it unusual for a girl this young to go

out and get involved? It is unusual. Highly unusual. We have seen cases

of children this young from London, also from the Netherlands, Germany,

other places seeking to go to Turkey, even ending up in Sxria

Many leave quite early, thex are not radicalised, others are

unfortunately killed in acthon. What hope have they got of finding

her and bringing her home? The long border between Syrha and

Turkey is hard to police. The hopes of the authorities finding her are

stacked against them. The qtestion is can a 15 euros girl `` a

15`year`old girl get through the border unmolested? Either from the

Turkish military or other insurgent groups.

Around seven `` around 700 friends and relatives gathered for the

funeral of Sam Amin today. The day that no parent should ever

see, the family of Sam Amin, led by the Cadet band into the Abbdy to say

goodbye. Inside hundreds of friends and family from all over Bath and

the world came to remember him. Sam's father spoke in his n`tive

language calling his son by his nickname, meaning cloud. His closest

friends described him as popular, cool, you could make friends and

lamp post. The best guy I vdnue the best kid in Bath, the any rdason I

got up for school everyday. Such a good, loyal friend, so happx, nobody

had a bad word to about him ever. It was just over two weeks ago, he went

out to say goodbye to friends, never came home. His body was found in the

River Avon. We must honour Sam, and come together as a city anything in

a seat to prevent any other family having to suffer this grief. His

family nickname meant Cloud, this cloud has now drifted, this is a

young man whose spirit will always remain.

A Bristol man has been jaildd for 18 weeks after sending abusive messages

to a Labour MP. He was accused of re`tweeting abusive posts of the

Walthamstow MP, Stella Crecx. She backed a high profile campahgn to

keep a woman on a British b`nknotes. Two main roads and Somerset face

closure is as workers protect villages from flooding. The work is

designed to prevent communities being cut off. It is part of the 20

year Somerset Flood protecthon plan after last summer's unprecedented

Autumn begins to show its h`nd. We have dry weather, some good bits of

sunshine, certainly for this time of year feeling pleasantly warl.

Changing by the end of the week Plenty of cloud coverage, plenty of

overnight lows. Maybe some list and fog taking us into tomorrow. Some

patchy, light rain, burning off well as we get into Tuesday. Lengthier

blue sky, sunshine, temperatures pretty good, around 16 Celshus. By

tomorrow afternoon, 21 in prolonged sunshine. After that, a change,

staying settled through Wednesday and Thursday, barring the odd week,

light rain. By the second h`lf of the week, getting wetter and

windier, going into the weekend I more breezy. Now for the national

weather. Good evening. We all know that

summer has been a bit extended this year. It has been a very dry and

warm month. On the final day of September, we are promised more dry

weather once we have lost early morning mist and fog. There will be

some rain creeping into western areas. Ahead of that, we have been

drawing up big showers from France. A few thunder storms today.

Downpours over the north Midlands and north-east England. The showers

will go out to the North Sea. Most of us will have a dry night. Misty

out there. Not turning cold. Temperatures in towns and cities in

the mid-teens. It is not a cold start to Tuesday. Quite grey, mist
