Most of us are satisfied with the NHS and schools. | :00:20. | :00:22.
That's according to a national survey of over 1,400 | :00:23. | :00:25.
people across Wales, carried out by the Welsh Government, who asked | :00:26. | :00:28.
There was a slight drop in the overall satisfaction with | :00:29. | :00:35.
health services from 6.4 in last year's survey to 6.2. | :00:36. | :00:41.
When it comes to the care provided by GPs, 92% said | :00:42. | :00:44.
38% found it difficult to make an appointment. | :00:45. | :00:52.
When asked about our schools, education scored 6.3. | :00:53. | :00:56.
85%, for example, were satisfied with their child's secondary school. | :00:57. | :01:01.
92% were satisfied with the primary school. | :01:02. | :01:05.
How well it's doing got a score of 5.8 but the level of trust | :01:06. | :01:11.
57% of people said they provided high quality services | :01:12. | :01:20.
but levels vary, sometimes in areas only miles apart. | :01:21. | :01:27.
In the Caerphilly Council area, the figure is 66%. | :01:28. | :01:30.
In neighbouring Blaenau Gwent, it was much lower at 51%. | :01:31. | :01:35.
So why is there such a difference in levels of satisfaction between | :01:36. | :01:38.
Our reporter, Matthew Murray, has been to talking to people | :01:39. | :01:43.
Two towns eight miles apart in their satisfaction ratings are not close. | :01:44. | :01:57.
I have taken to the road to find out why. First stop, Blackwood. It is | :01:58. | :02:03.
rated as one of the highest in Wales. The council were planting | :02:04. | :02:09.
fresh flowers and the effort is appreciated by the people living | :02:10. | :02:13.
here. The streets are kept very clean. Whatever I have requested, | :02:14. | :02:23.
they have come up trumps. Although some local businesses feel the | :02:24. | :02:26.
council is not providing the help they need to succeed. They have | :02:27. | :02:31.
another down anything for my business. I have run them numerous | :02:32. | :02:40.
times on different things. Eight miles up the road, half the people | :02:41. | :02:43.
are happy with the quality of service. It scored an average of | :02:44. | :02:56.
just 51%. Do they want an improvement in the bins, roads? | :02:57. | :03:06.
Stacey runs a coffee shop. She isn't happy with the quality of her | :03:07. | :03:16.
council services. It is never no parking. Customers have to use our | :03:17. | :03:22.
back entrance. It's not fair. For regulars, it is a similar feeling. | :03:23. | :03:29.
The council is falling apart. We have got no toilets. Two towns with | :03:30. | :03:36.
varying views but all I councils face an ongoing financial squeeze. | :03:37. | :03:42.
Three more nurses have been suspended from hospitals in South | :03:43. | :03:44.
Wales as part of an inquiry into the falsification of patient records, | :03:45. | :03:48.
All but one work at the Princess of Wales hospital in Bridgend. | :03:49. | :03:53.
Three of the nurses were arrested as part of the investigation last year. | :03:54. | :03:56.
They've been released on bail as the inquiry continues. | :03:57. | :04:00.
A 21 year old woman has been arrested on suspicion | :04:01. | :04:02.
of manslaughter after a car crash on the M4 slip | :04:03. | :04:05.
Corey Robinson, who was 18, died at the scene | :04:06. | :04:09.
Police say the woman has been released on bail | :04:10. | :04:14.

Lord Rennard to be expelled despite his apology over his behaviour | :04:21. | :04:23.
The former Lib Dem chief executive, who previously denied claims of | :04:24. | :04:28.
sexual harassment by four activists, has admitted he "may well have | :04:29. | :04:31.
In a letter, he apologised sincerely for any such intrusion. | :04:32. | :04:39.
Alison Goldworthy says the apology was "a start". | :04:40. | :04:47.
The debate around the future of e-cigarettes has intensified | :04:48. | :04:49.
after 50 leading scientists urged the World Health Organisation not to | :04:50. | :04:52.
However, the Welsh Government wants to restrict their use, arguing they | :04:53. | :04:57.
A significant health innovation or a way of opening doors to tobacco use? | :04:58. | :05:15.
The Welsh government, the first place in the UK to ban smoking in | :05:16. | :05:20.
places, is considering whether to restrict the use of East cigarettes. | :05:21. | :05:29.
The products on the market, none are licensed all regulated and more | :05:30. | :05:33.
research is done to prove their efficacy. East cigarettes allow | :05:34. | :05:44.
smokers to inhale vaporised nicotine. 50 leading scientists | :05:45. | :05:47.
don't think they should be banned, arguing they are part of the | :05:48. | :05:53.
solution. We are finding that the proportion of smokers quitting has | :05:54. | :05:58.
gone up and the motivation to quit is very high. A fifth of people who | :05:59. | :06:05.
smoke cigarettes and while there are no statistics on the number of | :06:06. | :06:08.
electronic smokers in Wales, recent research shows in England, a rise to | :06:09. | :06:17.
16% of smokers using this. Some sporting venues have already banned | :06:18. | :06:24.
their use. Spectators at tomorrow's cricket match would be able to smoke | :06:25. | :06:30.
them. In Caerphilly, they are being banned in council buildings. | :06:31. | :06:36.
Although it is not illegal to smoke them in public places, many | :06:37. | :06:39.
companies have also put a ban on them, like here. I do use it when I | :06:40. | :06:51.
am not allowed to smoke in normal places. Areas like this, people | :06:52. | :07:00.
still have them. The Welsh government insists everyone can have | :07:01. | :07:03.
their view and are holding consultation events around the | :07:04. | :07:05.
country before they decide whether or not to change the law. | :07:06. | :07:10.

The 29 year old has spent seven seasons with the Gunners, | :07:19. | :07:23.

carried by the former chief of British cycling, championing | :07:41. | :07:42.
This event is very important. You look at the people who have won the | :07:43. | :07:58.
Commonwealth Games medals and all the great names have been there. | :07:59. | :08:04.
Well, the baton ended the day in Caernarfon. | :08:05. | :08:06.
It'll pass through Denbighshire on it's final day. | :08:07. | :08:22.
That is the story for the next two or three days: Pressure is rising, | :08:23. | :08:30.
meaning more in the way of dry, unsettled weather. More showers | :08:31. | :08:34.
around. Sharp showers and parts of the South. These will slowly fade | :08:35. | :08:39.
away. Cloud and missed forming. Tomorrow morning, grey and misty. | :08:40. | :08:52.
Otherwise, looking dry. Across the rest of the UK, Mystic starting | :08:53. | :09:03.

everywhere. The clouds should break in places with some sunshine. A high | :09:23. | :09:30.
of 18 Celsius. More dry weather on Saturday. Some cloud around. One or | :09:31. | :09:36.
two showers breaking out but a lot of places will miss this. On | :09:37. | :09:41.
Sunday, a cold front over Ireland heading our way but the rain may be | :09:42. | :09:50.
