Welcome to Wales Today. Tonight's headlines. | :00:00. | :00:00.
Secretary of State for Wales David Jones is sacked | :00:00. | :00:08.
after less than two years, as the Prime Minister | :00:09. | :00:10.
A new screening test for Down's syndrome still not available | :00:11. | :00:16.
across the Welsh NHS six years after guidelines said it should be. | :00:17. | :00:21.
Waste companies are told to do more to prevent fires | :00:22. | :00:24.
Hyam at an allotment site as the Welsh Government starts to look at | :00:25. | :00:39.
ways to get more of us growing our Rome fruit and veg. | :00:40. | :00:43.
The surprising rise in dolphin attacks on porpoises. | :00:44. | :00:45.
We're with the scientists trying to find out why. | :00:46. | :00:47.
After stopping his opponent on Saturday night, Nathan Cleverly | :00:48. | :00:50.
says he's ready for a grudge rematch against rival Tony Bellew. | :00:51. | :01:08.
In the last half an hour, it has been confirmed that David Jones has | :01:09. | :01:19.
been sacked as Secretary of State for Wales. It is part of a Cabinet | :01:20. | :01:23.
reshuffle by the Prime Minister. Some MPs expect Stephen Crabb to | :01:24. | :01:25.
take over. Our parliamentary correspondent, | :01:26. | :01:29.
David Cornock, is at Westminster. David Jones was summoned to Prime | :01:30. | :01:40.
Minister -- meet the Prime Minister. There was not a specific reason but | :01:41. | :01:45.
the Prime Minister said he wanted to read fresh his team. David Jones | :01:46. | :01:49.
says he understands that and it is right that the Prime Minister should | :01:50. | :01:54.
reshuffle his Cabinet and refresh the team. David Jones says he will | :01:55. | :01:58.
be 100% loyal from the backbenches and is not unhappy at being sacked. | :01:59. | :02:03.
He had nearly four years in the Welsh office and he says that it is | :02:04. | :02:09.
the sort of conversation you expect whenever you are pointed to the | :02:10. | :02:14.
Cabinet table. Behind the scenes, there are other reasons why he may | :02:15. | :02:20.
have been moved on. Yes, he had a prickly relationship with the Welsh | :02:21. | :02:24.
Government but also significant is the relationship with the Welsh | :02:25. | :02:28.
Conservatives. One of the Keira owls is to manage that party | :02:29. | :02:33.
relationship. And there were a number of spats between David Jones | :02:34. | :02:36.
and the Conservatives in the National Assembly that Downing | :02:37. | :02:46.
Street became involved. Who will replace him? It looks | :02:47. | :02:53.
Stephen -- Stephen Crabb. Something of a rising star in the coalition. | :02:54. | :03:00.
We expect him to step up tomorrow. Interesting man and interesting | :03:01. | :03:01.
background for a Conservative minister. The son of a | :03:02. | :03:06.
single-parent, raised in a council house in Pembrokeshire. He will be | :03:07. | :03:13.
replaced by either Alun Cairns get to bed. | :03:14. | :03:23.
I think we will see a change of tone with Stephen Crabb. Certainly, if | :03:24. | :03:31.
you look at David Jones, he got a few unwelcome newspaper headlines | :03:32. | :03:34.
for taking a Jaguar to Cabinet meetings. I think Stephen Crabb will | :03:35. | :03:39.
get rid of that for starters. There is an election in nine months. There | :03:40. | :03:43.
will still be a pretty robust relationship with the Conservatives | :03:44. | :03:48.
here and the Labour run Welsh Government in Cardiff. | :03:49. | :03:53.
There's criticism tonight that expectant mums | :03:54. | :03:55.
in Wales are not getting the most effective screening available | :03:56. | :03:57.
Improved tests to detect the chances of a child being born | :03:58. | :04:01.
with Down's Syndrome are now available to parents in north Wales, | :04:02. | :04:04.
but despite guidance being issued in 2008, that's still not available | :04:05. | :04:06.
across Wales, unless you're prepared to pay for it. | :04:07. | :04:08.
In a moment we'll speak to an expert in this field, but first, | :04:09. | :04:12.
The choices facing parents are vast and laying the foundations for their | :04:13. | :04:29.
future family begins even bought the baby is born. Tests and scans are | :04:30. | :04:34.
available for expectant mothers to detect the chances of the baby being | :04:35. | :04:38.
born with conditions like Down's syndrome but that test depends on | :04:39. | :04:42.
where you live. The current testing involves an ultrasound and a blood | :04:43. | :04:45.
test at around 16 weeks but there is a better, more effective ultrasound | :04:46. | :04:51.
and blood test that can be done and has been done in England as well as | :04:52. | :04:55.
North Wales. But nowhere else in Wales offers that at the moment. The | :04:56. | :05:00.
fact that improved testing is patchy six years after guidance was issued | :05:01. | :05:03.
saying all women should have it has prompted criticism. You know much | :05:04. | :05:09.
earlier in your pregnancy. Obviously there are some were men who decide | :05:10. | :05:15.
not to proceed and that decision is much easier if it is taken earlier | :05:16. | :05:19.
in your pregnancy -- women. And it gives much greater certainty to | :05:20. | :05:25.
women because the test is much more accurate. These mothers did not have | :05:26. | :05:30.
the option but with the availability of improved screening have changed | :05:31. | :05:38.
anything for them? I did not feel it was necessary. It would not have | :05:39. | :05:42.
changed my decision. That is my personal view. I feel possibly that | :05:43. | :05:48.
maybe the money could be spent more on other things in the NHS. I have | :05:49. | :05:56.
worked with down syndrome, so I knew that it would not make a difference | :05:57. | :06:01.
to me. My children are my children. There is more of a desire to get to | :06:02. | :06:07.
know the future rant to want to know the health of your child. It would | :06:08. | :06:12.
not make any difference to me. I just believe that a child with | :06:13. | :06:18.
Down's syndrome has a right to life. Change is not always child's play. | :06:19. | :06:23.
The Welsh Government says the screening test is being phased in | :06:24. | :06:26.
across Wales but it has been a convex process with the additional | :06:27. | :06:31.
work affecting midwifery and radiology capacity. And the | :06:32. | :06:36.
logistics of upgrading software has taken some health board is time to | :06:37. | :06:38.
work through. It is hoped the new screening will be available to all | :06:39. | :06:44.
by next spring. Doctor Brian Beattie is a consultant and works at the | :06:45. | :06:50.
only private clinic in Wales. We had in the report that not all mothers | :06:51. | :06:53.
will want this screening. You work in the private sector. I would say | :06:54. | :07:02.
that the new tests, the take-up will be much better. A lot of people know | :07:03. | :07:05.
that the current test that we have is not very accurate. The pick-up is | :07:06. | :07:10.
only about 60%. This is much more reliable. The problem with the | :07:11. | :07:15.
testing is that if you come up with high risk, there is a risk of | :07:16. | :07:21.
miscarriage from the next step. If you do not have confidence in the | :07:22. | :07:25.
test, it is better not to embark on it in the first place. This test is | :07:26. | :07:30.
only available in parts of Wales on the NHS. Why isn't it being made | :07:31. | :07:37.
available? It is very difficult to implement. You are trying to measure | :07:38. | :07:43.
a small amount of fluid and ultrasound equipment has had to be | :07:44. | :07:47.
upgraded. We need imaging systems to be able to record the pictures for | :07:48. | :07:52.
quality control purposes and there is a major training initiative as | :07:53. | :07:58.
well. That has been in place for the last year or two. We will start off | :07:59. | :08:03.
with introducing it in north Wales and we expect it to be introduced to | :08:04. | :08:10.
the whole of Wales by November. These recommendations have been in | :08:11. | :08:15.
place for six years. That is right. There is no funding coming with | :08:16. | :08:19.
this. And it does have implications that the scan time is about double | :08:20. | :08:23.
what you would normally spend on an early pregnancy scan. A lot of these | :08:24. | :08:25.
things have taken time to work through. Is that what it boils down | :08:26. | :08:31.
to? A lack of money and time to do it. Even in England, they have only | :08:32. | :08:34.
just got it sussed in the last couple of years. I think we are | :08:35. | :08:42.
there. They have been very frugal with their money. They have been | :08:43. | :08:46.
able to implemented that cost neutral and that is what the Welsh | :08:47. | :08:50.
Government had asked for. I think it is just taking a long time to get it | :08:51. | :08:54.
organised. There is a lot of infrastructure changes that have to | :08:55. | :08:58.
be made. When do you believe this test will be available across the | :08:59. | :09:02.
country cousin Mark November of this year. I am certain it will be widely | :09:03. | :09:03.
available. Thank you very much. A woman from Carmarthenshire who | :09:04. | :09:08.
stole ?8,500 pounds from a friend's memorial fund has been given | :09:09. | :09:11.
a two year suspended jail sentence. Natalie Thomas admitted taking | :09:12. | :09:14.
the money from the Bandi Appeal, set up to raise money for | :09:15. | :09:16.
a new children's unit at Glangwili The 22-year-old died | :09:17. | :09:19.
in a car crash two years ago. She was on her way to be fitted | :09:20. | :09:23.
for a bridesmaids' dress. Up to 40 jobs could go | :09:24. | :09:28.
at a bakery in Swansea Swansea Bakeries Limited said it was | :09:29. | :09:31.
consulting with staff and unions, after Hovis decided it would use | :09:32. | :09:35.
its own factory in Bristol. The firm says it'll do everything it | :09:36. | :09:38.
could to mitigate the contact loss. There are growing calls for more to | :09:39. | :09:50.
be done to prevent fires at waste There were 61 of them here | :09:51. | :09:53.
between 2012 and 2013, One Welsh MP has called | :09:54. | :09:56.
for better regulation of the A Blaenau Gwent neighbourhood, | :09:57. | :10:01.
spoiled in January last year. Smouldering rubbish with | :10:02. | :10:06.
an acrid smell that got everywhere. The owner of the waste site says | :10:07. | :10:09.
it was started maliciously. Some who lived nearby stayed | :10:10. | :10:15.
indoors for days on end. It affected my wife because she is | :10:16. | :10:28.
asthmatic and emphysema. She had a job to breathe. She could not go out | :10:29. | :10:32.
of the job at all. That out of the house at all. It has always been a | :10:33. | :10:40.
beautiful place. Captive clean and tidy. If we had it again, I would | :10:41. | :10:44.
have two move out from here. There were 61 waste fires in Wales | :10:45. | :10:49.
between 2012 and 2013 - The local MP has obtained figures | :10:50. | :10:52.
from natural resources wales which show all apart from three | :10:53. | :10:55.
fires were at privately run sites. He feels more could be done | :10:56. | :10:58.
by companies to prevent them. That could be staff training, it | :10:59. | :11:10.
could be the owners or managers deciding that sites should be better | :11:11. | :11:15.
held to account by agencies. And if we put pressure on them to get it | :11:16. | :11:19.
right first, much better dealt with earlier than neighbours having to | :11:20. | :11:24.
suffer the consequences of poor management of sites. | :11:25. | :11:27.
The fire service say they're starting to work more closely with | :11:28. | :11:30.
the other bodies that regulate the industry. | :11:31. | :11:32.
The majority of sites are run pretty well. It is just to sites that are | :11:33. | :11:39.
maybe giving the whole sector a bad name. I think it is due to the | :11:40. | :11:44.
ignorance of the site operators. In March recycling fire near Cardiff | :11:45. | :11:50.
took five days to put out. There are other examples | :11:51. | :11:53.
in recent year from across Wales. The main industry body | :11:54. | :11:57.
for waste companies says it is consulting on a code of practice to | :11:58. | :12:01.
prevent scenes like this in future. Those who have already suffered want | :12:02. | :12:06.
all companies, big and small, It's used for jewellery | :12:07. | :12:08.
and decoration, but find out what scientists at Cardiff University are | :12:09. | :12:17.
doing with gold. And they both won their bouts | :12:18. | :12:21.
on Saturday. Welsh boxer Nathan Cleverly says he | :12:22. | :12:23.
needs to silence rival Tony Bellew More public land could be freed up | :12:24. | :12:26.
to allow people to grow their own food under | :12:27. | :12:37.
Welsh Government proposals. Across Wales local authorities are | :12:38. | :12:39.
struggling to meet demand The Government says it wants more | :12:40. | :12:41.
gardeners to enjoy the health and social benefits | :12:42. | :12:44.
a vegetable patch can provide. Well, Cemlyn Davies is | :12:45. | :12:46.
on an allotment in Tonypandy Yes, it is very quiet here this | :12:47. | :13:04.
evening. The weather of course has sent many of the gardeners home. But | :13:05. | :13:09.
they will not mind a drop of water, of course. Let me show you what is | :13:10. | :13:12.
growing year. Courgettes, sweetcorn, it bit further down, some | :13:13. | :13:21.
onions, significant onions, it must be said, and then you have got some | :13:22. | :13:27.
beans, carrots as well. And some sweet peas. This is exactly what the | :13:28. | :13:35.
Welsh Government wants more of us to be doing. At the government also | :13:36. | :13:38.
acknowledges that there is a shortage of allotment plots. There | :13:39. | :13:43.
are nine names on the short list here. Some of them have been here | :13:44. | :13:47.
for three years already. It is a similar story across Wales. These | :13:48. | :13:52.
allotments in the singleton area of Swansea have been here for over 80 | :13:53. | :13:56.
years, providing local gardeners with a place to grow their own | :13:57. | :14:01.
produce it also an opportunity to get exercise and make new friends. | :14:02. | :14:07.
It is a challenge to try and grow your own food. I am particular about | :14:08. | :14:12.
what I eat. I like organic foods. I like to know where my food comes | :14:13. | :14:16.
from. And also, the beauty of all your hard work is getting to eat | :14:17. | :14:20.
everything that you have grown. When we want a break, we shall break, and | :14:21. | :14:25.
sit down and have a break and put the world to right. We have a | :14:26. | :14:34.
mixture of people here. But these gardeners are the lucky ones. Across | :14:35. | :14:37.
Wales waiting lists for allotments are growing. You have about 60 | :14:38. | :14:44.
people gardening here at the moment. A waiting list of over 60 people. | :14:45. | :14:48.
They are having to wait at the moment about five years before they | :14:49. | :14:55.
can get a chance of a plot. I think the problem is encouraging people to | :14:56. | :14:58.
release land for the use of allotments. And that is why the | :14:59. | :15:02.
Welsh Government is looking at ways to create more space where people | :15:03. | :15:08.
can grow food. The natural resources Minister launched the consultation | :15:09. | :15:12.
and a community garden in Cardiff. We know that there is public land | :15:13. | :15:15.
available which is not always misused -- best used. Land is | :15:16. | :15:24.
available. It could be better used. We need to make sure we assessed and | :15:25. | :15:28.
more accurately and then make provisions so that the land is there | :15:29. | :15:33.
to be used. The government 's proposals include helping farmers to | :15:34. | :15:36.
provide land for allotments and allowing community groups to grow | :15:37. | :15:41.
food on and use land. Because of the nation period ends in October. -- | :15:42. | :15:49.
the consultation period. I am joined by Terry Walton. Explain to begin | :15:50. | :15:56.
with why so many people are keen to get their hands on an allotment. | :15:57. | :16:01.
People want to get back to nature. There is nothing better than growing | :16:02. | :16:05.
your own vegetables. People can buy this stuff in the shops but it lacks | :16:06. | :16:09.
the flavour of growing your own. There is nothing better. People are | :16:10. | :16:16.
realising this and want to get in on what this is all about and enjoy the | :16:17. | :16:20.
pleasures out in the open air, growing your own, going home and in | :16:21. | :16:26.
enjoying it. It is a social thing as well. The Welsh Government believes | :16:27. | :16:32.
that by encouraging more people to take up gardening and get themselves | :16:33. | :16:35.
an allotment, that could help to regenerate communities. Absolutely. | :16:36. | :16:43.
It reflects what a community should be all about. It is very caring and | :16:44. | :16:52.
sharing. Information is readily passed on from generation to | :16:53. | :16:54.
generation. There are no secrets on allotments. Gardeners like their | :16:55. | :17:00.
little tips to go on for ever. Is the challenge try -- trying to get | :17:01. | :17:09.
younger people interested cousin Mark people will go out there as a | :17:10. | :17:13.
group. They were all Mac in together. The children will | :17:14. | :17:19.
understand what growing is all about. Very quickly, give this one | :17:20. | :17:30.
gardening tip for the summer. The vegetables are their peak in our | :17:31. | :17:33.
daily plenty of water and food to feed as well unplug plenty of good | :17:34. | :17:39.
nourishment back into them. Even though it is raining, get out there | :17:40. | :17:42.
with the watering can. Thank you, back to the studio. | :17:43. | :17:46.
Scientists are trying to find out what's causing an apparent spate | :17:47. | :17:49.
of attacks by bottlenose dolphins off the West Wales coast. | :17:50. | :17:51.
They say there've been at least four reported attacks this | :17:52. | :17:54.
summer by the dolphins on porpoises around Cardigan Bay. | :17:55. | :17:56.
It's not rare for dolphins to attack porpoises but the frequency | :17:57. | :17:58.
They're one of the most popular tourist attractions of Cardigan Bay. | :17:59. | :18:11.
Bottlenose Dolphins are friendly and intelligent | :18:12. | :18:13.
But last month researchers studying these waters saw a number | :18:14. | :18:20.
Steve Hartley is the skipper of this boat and witnessed the attack | :18:21. | :18:24.
It was about 100 metres away. There was a lot of splashing. That is when | :18:25. | :18:37.
I noticed. We stopped and the dolphins proceeded to beat the poor | :18:38. | :18:44.
boys up, basically. Knocking it out of the water. | :18:45. | :18:50.
What makes this is unusual is that they have been witnessed four to | :18:51. | :19:02.
five times in the past six weeks. Conservationists are now wondering | :19:03. | :19:05.
if the same group of dolphins are carrying out all the attacks. | :19:06. | :19:08.
Sarah Perry, from Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre in Newquay, | :19:09. | :19:10.
studies these waters and has been left intrigued by the attacks. | :19:11. | :19:15.
There are a few theories. One of the main ones is competition for food. | :19:16. | :19:22.
Perhaps there is not enough food in the area. We have not seen evidence | :19:23. | :19:27.
of that. We have seen a number of fish being caught in the Bay. | :19:28. | :19:31.
Hunting skills, maybe they are teaching each other hunting skills | :19:32. | :19:35.
of some description. We do not really know. It is very difficult to | :19:36. | :19:38.
tell what is actually happening. The bottlenose dolphins spend their | :19:39. | :19:42.
summer months here There are | :19:43. | :19:44.
around 350 dolphins living in Cardigan Bay in the summer months, | :19:45. | :19:46.
Britain's largest population. So people are now being asked to | :19:47. | :19:48.
monitor the seas themselves and take pictures and report any further | :19:49. | :19:51.
attacks that might be witnessed But it can also save lives | :19:52. | :19:53.
and protect the environment. Scientists at Cardiff University | :19:54. | :20:03.
have been exploring uses for gold in our homes, businesses | :20:04. | :20:06.
and even for the military. They've discovered that breaking | :20:07. | :20:08.
down the metal into tiny particles Carwyn Jones has been | :20:09. | :20:10.
finding out more. For thousands | :20:11. | :20:20.
of years we've used it for money, But we may been underestimating | :20:21. | :20:33.
its true potential. When you break it down into tiny | :20:34. | :20:46.
particles, gold becomes far more interesting. | :20:47. | :20:48.
For 20 years scientists here have been using gold as a catalyst, | :20:49. | :20:51.
finding out if the metal can produce chemical reactions that | :20:52. | :20:54.
The key to their research was examining gold at an atomic level. | :20:55. | :20:59.
When it's in a form that's invisible to the naked eye it | :21:00. | :21:02.
If you divide it into just a few atoms, it is really on a tiny scale, | :21:03. | :21:16.
it becomes more reactive and can take part in chemical reactions with | :21:17. | :21:17.
would not expect. Using this precious metal | :21:18. | :21:20.
as a catalyst produces a host Gold turns carbon monoxide, which is | :21:21. | :21:23.
lethal if we breathe it in from a faulty gas appliance, into carbon | :21:24. | :21:26.
dioxide, a far safer proposition. It does that at room temperature, | :21:27. | :21:29.
which means it could have military uses too, | :21:30. | :21:32.
cleaning the air in submarines for example, where engines are | :21:33. | :21:34.
running in a confined space. And it can change the outside | :21:35. | :21:38.
of our homes. PVC, used in double glazing, | :21:39. | :21:41.
needs mercury, a hazardous But something that's already being | :21:42. | :21:44.
developed is a way of using gold to replace the chemicals we use to | :21:45. | :21:52.
dye our hair and clean our homes. Currently if you want to make | :21:53. | :22:05.
hydrogen peroxide, you have to do it in a big factory and it is very | :22:06. | :22:10.
wasteful. What we have discovered is that we can use gold to make | :22:11. | :22:15.
hydrogen peroxides in small amounts, very economic key. That | :22:16. | :22:20.
could be a game changer for many chemical reactions and many | :22:21. | :22:21.
industrial processes. This research, | :22:22. | :22:24.
which has just been published, sheds news light on a metal once | :22:25. | :22:26.
considered inert and unreactive. It shows that Gold has | :22:27. | :22:28.
the potential to save energy, Fighting talk now. Here's Claire | :22:29. | :22:31.
with tonight's sport. The scene is now set for one | :22:32. | :22:36.
of the biggest boxing grudge matches Former World Champion Nathan | :22:37. | :22:39.
Cleverly successfully came through his second fight | :22:40. | :22:43.
at cruiserweight this weekend, setting up a potential world title | :22:44. | :22:45.
eliminator with Tony Bellew, with And the animosity was all too clear | :22:46. | :22:48.
when the pair came face to face It was no accident that minutes | :22:49. | :23:10.
after winning his own fight, Nathan Cleverly was back out in the arena, | :23:11. | :23:14.
sitting in the front row, right where Tony Bellew could see him. It | :23:15. | :23:19.
is the measure of the simmering hostility between these two. Seconds | :23:20. | :23:24.
after despatching his Brazilian opponent, Tony Bellew immediately | :23:25. | :23:30.
went looking for the Welshman. This afternoon, Nathan Cleverly cut a | :23:31. | :23:35.
different figure, relaxing on the sofa at home. There is no getting | :23:36. | :23:41.
away from it, he and Tony Bellew are on a collision course. The | :23:42. | :23:47.
faint-hearted might want to take over. We genuinely discover -- | :23:48. | :23:52.
dislike each other. We are rivals. We want to be world champion and two | :23:53. | :23:56.
other wins the next fight goes on to fight for the world title. I am | :23:57. | :24:00.
looking forward to silencing him once and for all. Earlier on | :24:01. | :24:06.
Saturday night, Nathan Cleverly made light work of his Argentinian | :24:07. | :24:11.
opponent in the second fight after setting -- stepping up to | :24:12. | :24:17.
cruiserweight. It has given him confidence about his future in his | :24:18. | :24:22.
new weight division. These are big guys and they are strong and they | :24:23. | :24:25.
hit hard. I have had to adapt to that. I feel ready now. I can step | :24:26. | :24:33.
up a level. That means settling the score with Tony Bellew. The fight is | :24:34. | :24:38.
likely to happen sometime in the autumn. Nathan Cleverly is confident | :24:39. | :24:41.
he can beat him again, like you did in 2011. That would bring his | :24:42. | :24:46.
ultimate career goal it a lot closer. | :24:47. | :24:49.
Wales rugby captain Sam Warburton is still waiting to find out | :24:50. | :24:52.
if he'll have a club to play for next season, after the breakdown | :24:53. | :24:55.
of talks between the Welsh Rugby Union and the Welsh regions. | :24:56. | :24:57.
Warburton is the only player in Wales who is technically an | :24:58. | :25:00.
employee of the WRU, after signing what's known as a central contract. | :25:01. | :25:03.
Warburton is hoping he can carry on playing for the Cardiff Blues, | :25:04. | :25:06.
but the regions say they they've got a legal agreement, not to pick | :25:07. | :25:09.
players on central contacts, until a new plan for the future | :25:10. | :25:11.
Time now for the weather forecast with Sue. | :25:12. | :25:26.
A lot going on with the weather this week. It starts quite cloudy with | :25:27. | :25:33.
some rain. It has turned drier and brighter and warm in midweek but | :25:34. | :25:35.
with a risk of a thundery breakdown by the end of the week. This evening | :25:36. | :25:40.
the rain continues on and off. Fairly patchy. It eventually clears | :25:41. | :25:44.
to leave a mostly dry but cloudy night. It will be a mild night. | :25:45. | :25:53.
Tomorrow, a cloudy morning to start. That cloud should break to leave a | :25:54. | :25:58.
largely fine and dry day with longer sunny spells by the afternoon. It | :25:59. | :26:02.
will feel pleasantly warm in the sunshine. 17 Celsius on the Lleyn | :26:03. | :26:09.
Peninsula. 21 Celsius in Cardiff. Tomorrow night, more cloud making | :26:10. | :26:15.
its way in from the west. Some coastal showers. But for most of | :26:16. | :26:19.
Wales, another dry and fairly mild might as well. Midweek we start to | :26:20. | :26:23.
see high pressure building from the south. Also this front is not too | :26:24. | :26:29.
far away. Wednesday starts quite cloudy. Dry sunny spells but warming | :26:30. | :26:36.
up as well. Temperature is beginning to rise into the low 20s. The risk | :26:37. | :26:42.
of an isolated shower. Later in the week, we start to drag up this very | :26:43. | :26:47.
humid air from Spain and France, some hot and sunny spells. This is | :26:48. | :26:52.
unstable. A greater chance of a thundery breakdown with the | :26:53. | :26:56.
potential for torrential downpours. The end of the week looking warmer. | :26:57. | :27:02.
Temperatures into the mid-20s. With the risk of some heavy showers. And | :27:03. | :27:08.
then a bit less humid but still warm as we head into next weekend. The | :27:09. | :27:17.

Wales. It is part of a Cabinet reshuffle by the Prime Minister. | :27:21. | :27:29.
Some MPs expect Stephen Crabb to take over. And that is all for now. | :27:30. | :27:36.
From all of us on the programme, good evening. | :27:37. | :27:43. |
