Good evening. There are weather warnings still in place for strong

winds and rain as the tail end of a hurricane continues to hit parts of

western Wales. There were flooding incidents in parts of the region

earlier. Some roads were impassable for drivers. One flood warning is

still in place and for flood alerts are active. We will have a full

weather forecast in a few moments. We have learned that the Welsh and

UK Government spent a combined total of ?300,000 on the supreme court

cases about Assembly powers. It has been revealed under the Freedom of

Information Act. A spokesperson said costs were being kept as low as

possible while the Welsh Government said it showed the need for reform.

Samples of honey... One sample in particular could call the key. It

has been known for centuries that the honey breeze produce can have

healing properties. My new car honey from New Zealand is already used to

treat winds. There is hope that the Welsh honey can hold the key to

beating certain kinds of diseases. It has been used against bacteria

like MRSA. If the samples respond positively the pollen is analysed so

that sign tests can trace it back to the plant it came from. Scientists

have had some success. From the samples we find about ten which have

the activity we are looking for. One honey sample from North Wales is the

most active and compatible to the new car honey. In the meantime tests

are continuing on other samples provided by Welsh beekeepers. I love

the idea that there is a plant somewhere on the mountainside of

North Wales which has the next cure. The only way we will find that

is if people send us their honey. The race is on to find fresh

solutions. The scientists may well be on the right track. Soldiers from

a Pembrokeshire village who lost their lives in both world wars have

been honoured on a memorial for the first time. The tablet has the names

of 25 soldiers engraved on it. Some sports news now. It has been said it

weather conditions across Wales today and we are not quite out of

the woods yet. The delay and of the hurricane is making its way north.

will be breezy with heavy scattered showers. Tonight we have some

weather warnings in force. The showers will come and go especially

across parts of the South. Drier further north but we cannot rule out

a shower anywhere today. Top temperatures overnight around 18

Celsius. Some bright or sunny intervals throughout the day

tomorrow but some heavy showers moving in from the west. Tomorrow

temperatures will peak at 19 Celsius. Tomorrow the showers

continued to push across towards the east of the country. Tonight as they

will pressure moves north there will be cooler year fishing in and that

will continue over the next few days. The isobars are quite close

together on the pressure chart. Fairly unsettled over the next few

days but towards the end of the meet the Reg of high pressure will build
