Last night BBC Wales revealed how this man was advising a member of

There are only a handful of private colleges then Wales but the Welsh

Government funds hundreds of students who attend colleges in

England where there has been a huge rise in recent years and a big rise

in the problems associated with them. And concerns in Wales is not

new either. Over a year ago a committee at the Assembly warned

about gaps in their oversight. The response from the Welsh

Government is to force private colleges from next year to have to

register as a charity. Is it enough? One member of the Assembly

committee sees more should be done. The reality of the situation as we

have instances where there have been issues with regard to proper

governance of charities here in the same way that we have issues with

this particular college. There are greater safeguards in place at

universities and further education colleges in Wales, but that is

always concerned that confidence levels could be charged

across-the-board and students miss out. It is bad because we have

wasted resources and we have looted resources to spend on education. --

we have limited resources. The college owner denies knowing of any

wrongdoing in the recruitment of students to his college.

What has been the response to the developments today?

The Leader of the Opposition kicked things off when he said he was

aghast at the content of the programme. During the course of the

day we became aware of their concerns and more broadly in the

higher education sector in Wales. The education committee were worried

about some of these institutions being squeezed out of a crowded

marketplace. Lots of and answered questions. The officials in Wales

did not want to duplicate the checks and balances that were carried out

because they had been done in England where it had been

registered. Should more have been done? How concerned as the Welsh

Government about the funding of places in England? Very little

information from the Welsh Government other than the statement

that the police are involved. The education minister, two days on the

trot, focusing on this claim that they will have to become charities

in the New Year. There is an acknowledgement from most people but

that will put off organisations potentially taking advantage of the

system, but at the same time concerns about whether it will

really get to the heart of this issue, the falsification of

documents. The debate over UK military action

in Syria is continuing this evening. This is the scene live in the House

of Commons at the moment. More than half of Wales's 25

Labour MPs will vote against extending air strikes against

Islamic State militants to Syria. The 11 Welsh Conservative MPs are

expected to support the Government, with the three Plaid Cymru MPs

voting against air strikes. Here's our parliamentary

correspondent, David Cornock. It is an issue that divides

politicians and Syrians in Wales. This man cheers the Syrian Welsh

maternity services from Glan Clwyd Hospital could be scrapped.

top of the reactor core. The radioactive fuel elements are 30 or

below that again. That is what will be switched off at the end of the

month. As Wylfa as Wylfa is concerned it is not the end of the

story. It will take three years to remove the fuel, ten years before

the site can be put in what is called a care and maintenance state.

This person was there on the opening day. When I left school nuclear

power was in its infancy. Having been here at this long I have seen

it develop. Hopefully there will be a new reactor designed and built.

But not everyone shares that faith in nuclear power. Throughout its

life Wylfa has attracted protests. These days critics oppose plans for

a replacement. Inside they insist safety is

paramount. Everyone and everything leaving the area closest to the

reactor is scanned for radiation. The decade-long decommissioning

programme means some jobs will remain. But this is an uncertain

time for workers. It will be a sad day when the turbines are shut down

for the final time. It is a worrying time. Hopefully we can continue what

we are doing and close down the station in a safe manner. I am sure

there are plenty of opportunities out there that I can take on board

with the skill set I have developed over the years. In end of an user

dominate the skyline here for some time yet.
