Labour's spokesperson in the House of Lords has told BBC

Wales her colleagues in Westminster need to "calm down" and focus

on holding the Conservative government to account,

rather than infighting.

Baroness Eluned Morgan also told the Sunday Politics Wales that

arguments around Jeremy Corbyn's Shadow Cabinet reshuffle

were "distracting" from Labour's attempts to win support

in May's Welsh Assembly elections.

He became Labour leader with a huge majority last year but ever since,

Jeremy Corbyn has struggled to keep his MPs onside.

Last week, three of the party's spokesmen quit after Mr Corbyn

reshuffled his Shadow Cabinet.

Today, the woman who speaks on Wales for the party in the Lords said

cooler heads are needed.

My message would be, everybody calm down a bit and let's

focus our opposition on the Tories, not internally.

Baroness Morgan has her sights on sitting in Cardiff Bay

as a candidate for May's Assembly elections.

The danger she says is that the infighting

in Westminster drowns out the party's message.

The key thing is to understand that Labour is in power in Wales,

we are able to affect change here and we have got

to focus on that.

Anything that is a distraction in Wales from that, we should try

and put to one side.

This academic thinks Labour will be making sure its leader in Wales,

Carwyn Jones, is centre stage during the Assembly elections.

What we will see over the next four to five months is Welsh Labour

trying to build a much clearer image of Carwyn Jones as the

leader of Welsh Labour.

Somebody different, somebody more credible than Jeremy Corbyn.

When Jeremy Corbyn visited Wales in November, Carwyn Jones called

for Labour MPs to stop the infighting but it fell

on deaf ears.

As May's election draws near, the call for unity is having to be

made once again.

Police say a body found in Swansea Marina has been formally

identified as a 21-year-old man who went missing before Christmas

following a night out.

Jordan Miers was last seen on December 19th,

near the city centre.

Police divers, dogs and a helicopter searched an area near the River Tawe

following his disappearance.

Tributes have been paid to the former football coach.

Jordan was a very modest pupil, very, very hard working,

who went on to become very successful with us at school.

Very popular with his peers and teachers alike

and created a real impression.

He was a real gentleman.

A 44-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder after a body

was found in a lane in Neath Port Talbot has been

released on bail.

The body of 46-year-old Kevin Barry Mahoney was found

in a lane in Briton Ferry last week.

Police investigations are continuing.

A chapel in Swansea which dates back almost 140 years has

held its final service.

Campaigners had tried to save the Grade II-listed

Siloh Newydd Welsh Independent Chapel in Landore.

It can seat over a thousand people.

But over the years, the congregation has dwindled from 600 to just six.

After an 18 month effort to keep the doors open, they've been forced

to admit defeat as the costs were too high.

There comes a time when what we were taking in was not even paying

for the insurance, let alone the ministers,

so that was the decision,

I think we have come to the end of the road.

"A huge setback for the club" - that's how Swansea City's interim

manager described his side being knocked out of the FA Cup.

The Swans fell victims to the first major giant-killing of the FA Cup

third round when they lost 3-2 away to League Two side Oxford United.

With important league matters ahead, Swansea made ten changes to the team

and the new-look side went ahead.

Swansea looked second best.

More than 50 league places separate the sides but Oxford made it look

easy against the rusty Swansea defence.

Bafetimbi Gomis pulled one back for the Swans but Oxford held on.

We made changes but we have to have one eye on the Premiership,

but I thought the team today that we picked was strong enough

to have got the result today but, all credit to Oxford,

they were the better team.

So, disappointment in defeat but it could prove to be

a blessing in disguise.

The Swans can concentrate solely on staying in the Premier League.

Staying with football, and Wales are expected to play

Northern Ireland in a friendly at the Cardiff City Stadium on March

24th as part of preparations for the Euro 2016 finals.

Wales will be hoping Gareth Bale can repeat the performance he showed

for Real Madrid last night.

He scored a hat-trick in the first game under new manager

Zinedine Zidane.

The Scarlets are back at the top of the Pro12 tonight

after a dramatic win over Connacht.

The Welsh side were 10-0 down but fought back with tries

from to Steff Evans and Michael Collins.

Connacht went ahead again with two minutes left but Steven Shingler

kicked a last-minute penalty to win the game.
