We are some way into the Atlantic storm season now, hurricanes have

yet to surface. What we have are little areas of sub tropical air.

To the South West of the United Kingdom it could cause problems on

Thursday. There is high cloud ahead of it. We are in between that and

today's cloud and rain which is pushing away from Scotland to the

north-east. We are back on this ever changing week. A cool night.

Temperatures into single digits, maybe four or five Celsius in rural

parts in northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. A cool start

to tomorrow. Dry and bright one for the most but showers will develop.

That area of moisture gets closer. Ahead of it we will see the cloud

thicken across Devon and Cornwall, patchy rain here. Further north

sunshine, the mist and fog will clear. Most will stay dry. Bright

to northern Wales, compared with the cloudier south where they will

have patchy rain in the afternoon. Fine day for northern England, long

spells of sunshine here. It should stay dry with temperatures in the

high teens. Similar values in Northern Ireland. One or two

isolated showers. There will be showers across Scotland into the

west, and further east into the afternoon. They will be lighter

than those we saw today. Most will stay dry and bright. Bright to the

east of the Pennines. The cloud across southern counties could be

thick enough to produce light rain. Many will stay dry. When you see

the rain, it might not be enough to dampen the pavements. The South

West will be damper. Thursday night that sub tropical air pushes in. A

wet start across parts of Wales and the South West. Uncertainty where

the wetter spots will be, it will be from the South West to the

Midland and Lincolnshire on current for casts. Further north brighter
