Good evening. What does the weather have in store? It will not be a


washout but there will be some rain. We have a broad band of cloud on


the satellite picture and beneath That will tend to break up and


fragment into scattered showers across England and Wales later in


the night. Further north and west, it will turn dry, and perhaps some


frost. It will be milder further itself. It does not look very


pretty first thing in the morning across southern part of England,


the Midlands and East Anglia. The prolonged rain it could last much


of the day. Further west, some dry spells but showers across parts of


northern England. The Midlands should be dry but a grotty day for


parts of East Anglia and the South East. Even in the sunny spots of


the south-west and Wales, some of the show was could mean business


for the afternoon. -- showers. Some places will get a heavy downpour


and other places will of with an entirely. Showers in Northern


Ireland with some sunshine. I think much of Scotland will get away with


it with the largely fine day but none too warm. It will be fine for


Scottish rugby players in Italy but expect a shower for the other rugby


matches. Down Under, practice was affected by rain in Melbourne, but


for qualifying and indeed for the Formula One race itself, we should


be in the clear. Pleasantly warm as well. Back home on Sunday morning,


there will be a touch of frost across parts of Scotland, Northern


Ireland and northern England. Further south, a fair bit of cloud
