Good evening. We started the week with westerly winds and the

brightest conditions in the east. The tide is now turning because the

high pressure system which was to the south of us is drifting

northwards. In doing so, we allow Continental Eirian, that is what

brought the dissipating cloud through today and the clear skies

tonight with a distinct chill in the air. More cloud in the south-

west, potential for some showers and a stiffening breeze. Away from

that, Six degrees in towns and cities. Suburbs and rural parts

start tomorrow with a frost. But it will soon warm-up. Sunshine across

much of Scotland and Northern Ireland, melting the frost. Still

cloud in the north-west of Scotland but a good deal brighter than

recent days. There will be some mist and fog across central eastern

England and whilst most well clear, some stubborn patches will linger.

Sunshine over head for the rest, and even though we have cloud in

the south-west it will still be bright. South Devon, the Isles of

Scilly, some chances of showers. A stiff breeze will make it feel on

the cool side. Away from that, most will stay dry with patchy affair

with a cloud. After the chilly start it really warms up. Up to 17

degrees. The Thames Valley could get up to 19 degrees. Quite cool in

the shade, and cooler still across eastern counties of Scotland and

England. We will struggle to get up to 10 degrees through Thursday

afternoon because south-easterly If anything, the mist and sea fog

becomes more extensive through Thursday night. Cloud in the West

will also build. Even some rumbles of thunder. They will continue

pushing north into Friday but the showers are hit and miss. The
