Good evening. There were sunny spells and a scattering of sharp

showers to end the week. That is how the weekend's weather is

looking. This low pressure will drift across our shores. You will

notice a few isobars in the charts. Breezy along the south coast.

There'll be spells of sunshine tomorrow. Equally heavy showers

developing. In fact we have some wet weather overnight, across

western areas in particular it is breezy. Drier for central and

easterner yas. Rain drifting up from this area. No lower than 15-16

Celsius for Cardiff and London. Here is the morning across south-

west England. It is a dry and breezy start. One or two showers

through the morning. In Wales, I suspect more cloud around. It

should thin enough to allow some sunshine through in the morning. A

similar idea in Northern Ireland. Maybe a bit on the cloudy side

through the morning. One or two showers dotted around. In Scotland,

well there should be reliable sunshine for central and western

areas. Around the north and east though an on-shore breeze could

drag in low cloud. The north-east, generally speaking,

starts on a dry and bright note. The south east is looking promising.

It will not be a completely dry day. There'll be the risk of one or two

showers in and around the London area. They should be light. The

further in order you are, that is at main risk of heavy showers,

thunder, lightning. Top temperatures, well, where they have

been really. The risk of a few showers in the morning at the

Olympic Stadium. Through the day the risk decreases. By the evening

it should be fine. The showers that we see will rumble

on well into the evening, particularly so over northern
