Good evening. The forecast is looking reasonably straight forward

for the next couple of days. The weekend, that is a different matter.

Let me show you why. Out in the mid-Atlantic is an area of soak

lighting -- circulating cloud. It will have some influence on our

weather this coming weekend. The storm is coming no where near the

UK but some of the energy could be clicked off the top to influence

our forecast. Ahead of that, a more standard weather system introducing

more in the way of cloud tonight. That will have an effect on

temperatures. It will also bring in a fair bit of rain. Ahead of all

that, temperatures dipping into single figures again but milder air

coming in from the south-west. On into Thursday, miserable day where

the rain sticks around. It will last for much of the day. Either

side of that, some dry and brighter weather. Sunny spells and northern

Scotland. No warmth in the sun. Through the central belt under the

reign, you might struggle to get out of single figures. It might

feel like November. Every bit as wet across northern England.

Further south, we are getting some brighter spells across southern

England. Milder south-westerly winds. Some sunshine. South-west

England hangs on to the fine weather as well. South-east Wales,

reasonably well placed to get some of those drier, brighter spells as

well. The rest of Wales is rather cloudy with patchy rain here and

there. The rain is not especially light across Northern Ireland. It

could turn heavy so not a pleasant second half to the day. Through

Thursday night, the rain begins to push away southwards. Things are

clearing up for Friday across Scotland, Northern Ireland and

northern parts of England. Further south, as the rain pushes on into

the Midlands and southern Midlands, it will turn lighter and more

patchy. Temperatures in the mid- teens in the south but cooler
